Omaha Fire and Rescue was called to Eppley Airfleld around 2:30p local time due to a male passenger on a private flight suffering a seizure mid air. The plane made an emergency landing in Omaha and it was soon revealed the passenger was rapper Lil Wayne.
According to TMZ, Wayne blacked out when the pilot put the plane down. He eventually came to and refused medical treatment and had the plane continue the cross country flight.
About an hour later, Omaha Fire & Rescue were called again to Eppley Airfield for a male having a mid-air seizure. Reportedly, it was Lil Wayne having SECOND seizure. The plane landed for the second time, and this time, he was transported to CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center.
Weezy was reported to be in serious condition, but he was able to walk on his own.
According to police, he was "ambulatory and walked off the plane."
it's not the first occurrence of mid-air urgent health issues for the rapper.
It has not yet been confirmed what caused his seizures, however, he said himself that after multiple seizures in 2012 and 2013 (with one near fatal) that he would no longer drink "lean" because of his seizures. He's also had the seizures since childhood.
