SnapChat queen Keke Palmer likes to keep her fans up-to-date with her day-to-day activities on a regular. But now, she’s being criticized for a picture she posted to her account that her fans and foes at each other’s neck in her comments section on Instagram.
A few days ago, the “Scream Queens” star was hanging out in Miami with friends when she posted a makeup free picture to show off her tan lines after soaking up some rays. She pulled her top down and covered up her nipple with her fingers:
The photo started making its rounds on social media and the chill level went from 0 to 100 real quick. Last night, she decided to address the drama on SnapChat and Instagram. In a series of Snap videos, she started off saying she didn’t want to address “stupid sh*t,” but felt she would to assure her real fans she’s FINE.
The Brotherly Love star started off saying“Imma be real. That’s who I am. I’m going to be myself. You’re not going to be cute to every damn body and I’m not trying to be.”
She continued,
“I remember the moment I stopped giving a f***. I hate this idea that it’s like we want to be fake. If I’m meant to be anything in my platform of celebrity-ism I’m meant to be a light. That’s ultimately why I posted what I posted because I wanted to shine light on the truth which is that, this ain’t sh*t to talk about.”
The 22-year-old actress told her fans she’s just like them, a regular girl with a cool job. And she deals with ridicule just like anyone else.
“While y’all might not be celebrities, y’all probably have been ridiculed plenty of times. The point I want to make is that it doesn’t have to bother you. It’s all about how you see it.”
Keke is clearly not here for your opinions.
She also wrote a lengthy response on her IG. She said:
