Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, Marlon Wayans and tons more hit the blue carpet at the NBC Upfronts to promote their new shows and new seasons yesterday. Peep the carpet pics and deets on the shows inside….
Now that she has joined “The Voice” as a new judge, Alicia Keys is hitting the promo circuit. The R&B songstress hit the blue carpet at the NBC Upfronts in NYC rocking a floral bomber Dolce & Gabbana jacket over a black mesh crop top and high-waisted harm trousers and black gladiator sandals. Are we feelin' her laid back look?
A. Keys will be bringing her musical expertise to the upcoming 11th season of “The Voice,” to replace Pharrell Williams. The new season will kick off in September.
After a successful debut season, the hit cop drama “Shades of Blue” will be returning to the NBC network. And that means, we’ll be seeing more of Jennifer Lopez as the tough NYPD officer Harlee Santos.
The “Ain’t Yo Mama” singer turned up the heat on the carpet in a white hot David Koma AW16 dress paired with YSL platform pumps topping her look off with a high pony tail. “Shades of Blue” is expected to return Thursday nights this fall.
Funnyman Marlon Wayans is ready to bring the laughs in his new NBC show loosely based on his life titled “Marlon.” Marlon will star and produce the series through his newly launched production company he jump started with his longtime business partner Rick Alvarez.
The comedy centers on an inappropriate but loving father (played by Marlon) committed to successfully co-parenting with his polar opposite ex-wife.
YBF actress Essence Atkins is the lucky lady who will star as Marlon's on-screen ex-wife. The family comedy is expected to premiere later this year.
“Resurrection” alum Omar Epps was all smiles as he made his way down the blue carpet. The sexy star is gearing up for a new role in the upcoming “Shooter” series set to premiere on the USA Network.
“Celebrity Apprentice” season 7 contestant Kenya Moore, who also stars on the “Real Housewives Of Atlanta,” made sure to turn heads when she popped up on the carpet in a pink plunging neckline frock. We wonder how she and Matt are doing in her big new Moore Manor...
“Top Model” chick YaYa DaCosta is still working. The former model, who starred as Whitney Houston in the LIFETIME biopic, landed a role in NBC’s “Chicago Med” as April Sexton, a smart, bold intuitive ER nurse who is the lifeblood of the ER. Loving this look.
The season finale premieres tonight at 9pm EST on NBC.
Former daytime talk show co-host Sherri Shepherd has a new gig. She’s set to co-star in the NBC docu-style comedy pilot “The Trail” alongside John Lithgow.
According to Deadline, the comedy series is a spoof documentary series that follows follows Josh Simon, a young big-city lawyer, and his oddball defense team during a high profile murder trial in a small southern town. Sherri’s will play Anne Flatch, the well-meaning and enthusiastic assistant/receptionist at Josh Simon’s makeshift law office in East Peck, South Carolina. Anne suffers from facial blindness — the inability to recognize people by their faces — along with a host of disorders that makes her job as one of the members of the defense team much more difficult.
Sherri’s role sounds interesting.
Actor Dennis Haysbert is the new voice on NBC’s Sunday morning public affairs programs “Meet The Press.”
“Saturday Night Live” comedian Maya Rudolph struck a pose on the carpet after starring alongside Drake for the last episode of the comedy series.
“The People vs. OJ Simpon” actor Sterling K. Brown has landed a new role since wrapping up the hit OJ series. He’s set to star alongside Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore (above) in a brand new dramedy titled “This Is Us.”
The new series will premiere later this year.
Rocky alum Carl Weathers will be taking his talents “Chicago Justice,” a spinoff in Dick Wolf’s franchise of Chicago-set procedural dramas. He’s set to play State Attorney Mark Jefferies in the upcoming “Justice” episode of “Chicago P.D.” We can expect the spinoff to premiere later this year.
“TODAY” show hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford were on hand to conduct interviews on the carpet.
Which shows will you be tuning into this fall?
