We want next!

A few months ago, President Obama and Golden State Warriors point guard Steph Curry (and his signature chewing of the mouthpiece move) shot a mentorship PSA that included a bomb game of Connect 4 (Connect 4 wiz Beyoncé& the President should battle next) and some other fun stuff around the White House.

This morning, it premiered on NBA Countdown on ABC. The video highlights the importance of mentoring and challenges Americans to make an impact on the life of a young person in their community by becoming a mentor.

So, what is President Obama "doing for black people" like so many like to ask?

In January, MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership, launched the “In Real Life” campaign as part of their ongoing response to President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper initiative, ‎a national call to action to address persistent opportunity gaps facing boys and young men of color and ensure all youth can reach their full potential.

Men from all walks of life -- everyday dads, local businessmen, men with ambition, celebrities, sports figure, etc. -- have participated in the initiative throughout Obama's terms.

This campaign is a cumulative, long-term solutions, not just a quick band-aid that gives folks a false sense of security and progress.  Which is why we support My Brother's Keeper wholeheartedly.

We applaud the NBA, whose players many of our young men look up to whether we want them to or not, for their participation too. The National Basketball Association (NBA), the National Basketball Players Association, and the NBA Retired Players Association have all challenged Americans to become mentors so that every young person has meaningful relationships that provide networks of support and opportunity.

Now check out Steph get whooped below, plus some other fun stuff with the Prez and reigning MVP:
