The most fabulous black women in the game came out to celebrate their fabness at Black Girls Rock Friday night. Everyone slayed up and down the carpet for Beverly Bond's 10-year-anniversary for her event. We've got the red carpet round up inside....
All that melanin lit up the red carpet last night at Jersey's NJPAC. The evening was all about honoring black girls who put in work -- socially, musically and more. Plenty YBF chicks (and a few supportive males) came out to shower the honorees with awards, tributes and respect. Fab.
Kelly donned an all white jumper while showing off her tight and toned snapback bod. Obsessed with this look.
Monica, who performed during the show, brought her daughter Laiyah on the carpet. She rocked a luxe green velvet maxi skirt and black lace body suit, both from Balmain, and shoes by Sophia Webster.
Monica called little Lay "the perfect date" and said about Kelly,"I absolutely love this woman." Awww.
Tatyana Ali rocked a curve hugging Zac Posen dress that hugged her baby bump. It's the newly engaged actress' first red carpet pics with her baby bump and engagement ring on full display, and she's glowing!
Remember the stunning and talented YBF Teen, Keym whose prom dress she designed went viral? She hit the carpet in another amazing dress with an afrocentric graphic print of a black woman, her curls and her black power sign. We're loving every bit of it!
Rock Star Award recipient Rihanna donned head-to-toe Miu Miu and cute hair pins for the occasion.
When you can glam up shorts and a button down effortlessly....
Jazmine Sullivan has us like 'Yassss' to this curve hugging sparkle & sheer look. The EBONY cover girl was there to rock the stage.
"Survivor's Remorse" star Teyonah Parris looked damn good in her golden beaded Jani Khosla gown and Stuart Weitzman shoes:
This woman is flawless, for real.
Honoree Danai Gurira slipped into the tend of the night -- the white jumper. We're glad she did because it looks gorgeous against her skin.
Rocking another white jumpsuit on the carpet -- "black ish" star Yara Shahidi. The 16-year-old always dresses age appropriate, which we love, and keeps her own funky twist on it.
Model and "Born Again Virgin" star Eva Marcille also rocked a jumpsuit, but she kept hers olive colored and skin tight with a duster coat with exaggerated shoulders. It all works. Both pieces are from House of Cb while her clutch is from Joyrich LA, all topped off with an Alexander McQueen scarf. Great look for her.
"House of Cards: star Cicely Tyson hit the carpet with her go-to designer B. Michael.
Shonda Rhimes, also an honoree, looked great on the carpet.
A few of our fave singers made bold statement with their arrivals -- Marsha Ambrosius of Floetry, a rare appearance from Corinne Bailey Rae and a striped Ledisi.
Disney star Skai Jackson brought a super colorful vibe. She turns 14 next week by the way!
"Power" star Naturi Naughton, rocking a CD Greene dress, caught up with former star of "The Game" Hosea Chanchez. Interesting look for her, as usual.
AJ Calloway tried to pull an April Fool's joke on his fans by telling social media he and Free are returning with "106 & Park after Dark." We checked, and it's a lie. No fooling us AJ!
Honoree and outspoken Hunger Games actress Amandla Stenberg rocked a statement suit for her big night. Loves it.
The woman of the night, DJ Beverly Bond, posed it up with Gladys Knight.
How cute is little Marsai Martin dressed in all pink.
And finally, Andra Day brought the velvety gold to the carpet as she posed it up with a cutie named Raynn Simone who rocked a hairpiece just Andra's.
Andra was there to perform, and she looked fabulous before taking the stage.
Stay tuned for what went down inside the show, which airs April 5th on BET!
