Later rapper Tupac Shakur’s mom Afeni Shakur is divorcing her husband of 12 years, Gust Davis, but it won’t be easy. This knee grow wants alimony...and A LOT of it!
According to TMZ, Afeni filed divorce paperwork in North Carolina where judges are not required to divide property 50/50. Instead, they determine the outcome on a case-by-case basis.
The couple has been separated a little over a year and unfortunately for Afeni. They do NOT have a prenup.
The couple apparently has tons of property together and he wants what he believes he deserves. Gust, who is reportedly a minister, is requesting to live on their 50-acre ranch in North Carolina, he wants the keys to the houseboats and he wants to keep his luxury Jaguar vehicle.
On top of those demands, he’s also seeking alimony and he wants half of Tupac’s royalties that Afeni receives.
Tupac’s estate reportedly brings in about $900,000 a year. Gust claims Afeni gets about $20,00 a month, so he wants half of that. He's gunning for $10,000 a month for the rest of his life!
Afeni, who currently lives on a houseboat in Sausalito, CA., filed the paperwork requesting the judge to deny Gust’s alimony request.
Let’s hope this doesn’t get any uglier.
