Actor Mike Colter just revealed the release date of the upcoming Netflix superhero series “Luke Cage.” Find out when you can binge watch inside….

Get ready comic fans! Netflix is coming through with these Marvel comic series.

Hottie Mike Colter was front and center at Netflix’s "Daredevil" season 2 NYC premiere a few days ago. And he dropped a huge bomb.

While chopping it up with Netflix on the carpet, Mike, who has been cast as Luke Cage - a black super hero in Marvel Comic's upcoming Netflix series - revealed “Luke Cage” will premiere September 30th! Yes!

If you're unfamiliar with Luke Cage, here’s a synopsis of the series (via Indie Wire):

After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city, forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.

He will be joined by Mahershala Ali as Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes, a Cage adversary; Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard, a local Harlem politician - and cousin to Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes (Mahershala Ali) - who is looking to bring a new era of change to the streets she grew up on; Simone Missick playing a variation of Misty Knight; Theo Rossi as Shades (aka Alvarez), a career criminal and a nemesis to Cage; and finally Rosario Dawson reprising her role as Claire Temple from the "Daredevil" series.

If you’ve been keeping up with the Marvel series, you may have seen Mike make his debut as Luke Cage on Marvel's "Jessica Jones."

“Luke Cage” is the 3rd superhero series brought to life on Netflix. The movie streaming company plans to release a new Marvel superhero series every six months for your viewing pleasure. Each series will focus on members of a group of comic book heroes called The Defenders - a kind of street-level Avengers team.

We’re here for it.
