Russell Wilson is tapping into the fashion industry, but in a charitable way. Find out how he plans to have men dressed to the nines all while giving back inside….
How can you hate on Russell Wilson? He’s a God-fearing Super Bowl winning champ who has swept R&B singer Ciara off of her feet. He visits the Seattle Children’s hospital weekly and he seems like an all-around great guy.
Now, he’s expanding his empire by tapping into the fashion world. The 27-year-old NFLer is ready to take over the men’s fashion realm with his brand new clothing line called Good Man Brand. The line is a collection of casual gear made with the purpose to inspire guys to do good, while looking good!
Yesterday, Russell made an appearance at Nordstrom’s in downtown Seattle to celebrate the launch. He posed it up with fans and held a Q&A:
Russell’s new line, a collaboration with his three partners (who, in total, bring nearly 70 years total of fashion experience to the project), will be giving back to charity much like the shoe brand TOMS.
Good Man Brand is promising to donate $3 from every item purchased to the Why Not You Foundation, with the proceeds going to inner city education programs like Friends of the Children. Sweet!
The new line will be in 20+ Nordstrom stores nationwide and 75 “mom and pop” shops (as Russell dubbed them). You can also cop some of his threads on the brand's website TheGoodManBrand.com.
The brand also totes an inspirational slogan, “Lead. Inspire. Live.” Russell said those three words were traits he found in good men that were involved in his life such as his late father and that he hopes to inspire his customers to do the same. He told GQ,"We're going to change a culture through fashion."
Gotta love it!
CiCi posted a flick from the event on Instagram with the caption, "Proud Of My Baby and His Successful Launch Of @GoodManBrand. #GoodManBrand #Nordstroms." Cute!
Russ also hit the streets of Seattle to ask women what makes a good man. The lady in the first clip had the slickest answer ever! Peep the clips below:
Ha!
Congrats Russ!
