The 'Black Women In Hollywood' red carpet was on fire Thursday afternoon with pure #BlackGirlMagic! Get our complete round-up inside of the fabulous ladies who made their way to what is always the most inspiring event of the year....
Our fave pre-Oscar event was the most lit place to be Thursday afternoon. Essence Magazine hosted its annual 'Black Women In Hollywood' brunch, sponsored by The Lincoln Motor Company, at The Beverly Wilshire where all of our faves came out to honor three outstanding women in the television and film industry: Tracee Ellis Ross, Entertainment Attorney Nina Shaw and the legendary Debbie Allen.
Before tears were cried by everyone in the room during the emotional acceptance speeches, the red carpet was LIT with melanin and fierceness.
Meagan Good kept it super pretty in this hi-low watercolor print dress and a fresh face. She was on hand to present an award to budding actor Thais Francis.
Letoya Luckett gave us life in this gorgeous white jumpsuit and green snakeskin Jimmy Choo shoes. The actress' show "Here We Go Again" is definitely a cute look. Have you watched?!
Speaking of green, writer/creator Mara Brock Akil gave us young and fresh cuteness in this fab Christopher Kane skirt and strappy silver heels.
Mara created Tia Mowry's former show "The Game," so both ladies were there to offer up congrats to Tracee Ellis Ross who starred on Mara's other creation "Girlfriends." The actress/cooking show host rocked print on print from BCBG and Stuart Weitzman for the supportive occasion. We adore everything about this fresh look.
"Here We Go Again" star Wendy Raquel Robinson kept it chic in this embellished charcoal dress as she hit the carpet.
Amber Riley, who recently turned the big 3-0, brought the curvalicious fabness in this pretty golden haze frock from Eloquii.
Fab chick KeKe Palmer came through with the fresh and sexy body con and her braided up 'do:
The "Scream Queens" star is busy in the studio working on her new album. She also just recently dropped a new track with Jeremih called "Enemies" and a dance video to "Work" proving she's DEFINITELY not little Akilah from the bee anymore.
"Power" star LaLa Anthony kept it chic and simple in this nude dress with the perfect sweetheart neckline. Looking gorgeous La!
Kelly Rowland rocks a pants look like nobody's business doesn't she?! We're loving this look of hers at the brunch.
Zendaya is another one who rocks pants looks to perfection. Are we loving her matchy-matchyness?
ESSENCE President of Communications Michelle Ebanks stood out in head to toe hot pink and she snapped a pic with upcoming Oscar host and the latest ESSENCE magazine cover guy Chris Rock. Who else is ready for Chris' opening number this Sunday....before we change the channel?
Michelle also posed it up with an impeccably dressed Nina Shaw, attorney extraordinaire and one of the afternoon's honorees.
The high powered lawyer has repped black stars like Nick Cannon, Misty Copeland, Laurence Fishbourne and more for most of, if not all, of their careers. Loves it!
Oh HEY Nate Parker. The Birth of a Nation actor and director had all the ladies swooning as he made his way into the event. The general gist from the ladies -- he's got that "manly" factor working for him. He smells good, looks pretty sexy, and will pull you in for a pic. But not so fast y'all, he's very married.
Upcoming Southside With You star Tika Sumpter kept it simple in a little black dress. That pop of color on he lip tho...gorge.
"Real Housewives of Potomac" star Katie Rost brightened up the carpet in a red jumpsuit and statement necklace.
Bevy Smith and her boo (and former "Fashion Queens" co-star Miss Lawrence) looked as if they color coordinated for the occasion, but we doubt they did. Great minds simply think alike.
As the newest co-star on Wendy Williams' fashion recap show "Wendy's Style Squad", we're glad to see Bev taking over TV again as well as her Sirius XM radio how Bevelations and podcast Bevy Says.
Also on hand to celebrate Tracee Ellis Ross was her little bro Evan Ross.
This blush Jay Godfrey jumpsuit of Evelyn Lozada's had us in awe, to be honest. The reformed and former "Basketball Wife" looked gorgeous at the brunch. She attended to support her new network home, OWN, where her show "Livin' Lozada" airs and so will this brunch. By the way, her show returns this spring as she and her LA Dodgers fiance Carl Crawford jet to their Arizona home in the off season.
"Empire" star Serayah brought the cuteness in this spring green Loza Maléombho dress and colorful Sophia Webster shoes. She was clearly loving her look.
"Underground" star Jurnee Smollett was spring ready in this all white look. She's fresh from premiering her new WGN show at the White House. Nice!
"How To Get Away With Murder" star Aja Naomi King rocked a flirty and cute black and white frock with polka dotted pumps.
OWN network star Kym Whitley was there rocking a curve hugging purple dress.
Holly Robinson Peete rocked an interesting look for the big afternoon.
Thandie Newton made a statement with her "Say Her Name" tee as she showed up to the brunch.
Beautiful couple Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker showed up looking their usual fabulous selves.
We bow down! Debbie Allen, whose credits run the gambit of everything in entertainment, had her family on hand to watch her receive her well deserved honor.
Iyanla Vanzant was there to celebrate with OWN and snapped pics on the carpet before getting swarmed by fans inside.
Shonda Rhimes hit the carpet before going into the brunch to sit at Debbie Allen's table. And chick is SNATCHED.
76-Year-Old "Being Mary Jane" star Margaret Avery brought the fringe to the carpet.
Anika Noni Rose kept it colorful at the event.
Former "Community" star Yvette Nicole Brown showed off her fab frock at the brunch.
Estelle kept it cute and posed it up in this multi-colored look.
Cookie Johnson came out to rep for the Sunday brunch set. Heeey Cookie.
Celebrity stylist and Ty-Lite creator Ty Hunter brought his amazing to the carpet.
ABC's new President Channing Dungey took a break from breaking ceilings and making history to come out and support Tracee and others at the brunch. She co-presented Nick Cannon to give the Lincoln Power Award to entertainment attorney Nina Shaw.
The gorgeous Garcelle Beauvais, host of "Hollywood Today Live," rocked a look that she told us was a salute to Carolina Herrera. Nailed it!
Gospel beauty Erica Campbell rocked an interesting look on the carpet.
Shaun Robinson rocked a simple yet chic deep-V A-Line black dress.
The Awkward Black Girl herself, Issa Rae, rocked a super cute floral Asos dress as she hit the carpet.
Black & Sexy TV creator Numa Perrier worked the carpet.
The fabulous Ericka Pittman, Vice President Combs Enterprise, rocked the perfect Ted Baker cocktail dress and Gucci shoes.
Holly Robinson Peete shared the brunch moment with her mommy. Cute!
More coming up soon from INSIDE this epic brunch...
