Supermodel and former "ANTM" and "The Fab Life" host Tyra Banks has always been quite vocal about her struggles to get pregnant. She's made it clear that becoming a mother is one of her biggest dreams. Now, it's happened. And none of us saw this coming.
Tyra just announced that she and her 51-year-old Norwegian photographer boyfriend Erik Asla have welcomed a baby boy via surrogate! The bundle of joy's name is York Banks Asla, and the 42-year-old model mogul made the announcement via social media.
She posted the below adorable hat and caption:
"The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here. He's got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik's mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world."

When Tyra Banks announced her surprising departure from "The Fab Life" just two months ago, many believe it was because of the low ratings. While that could have been part of it (the show has now been cancelled), it looks like her new baby's arrival also could have had something to do with cutting back on her nonstop work schedule.
Just four months ago on "The Fab Life," the then co-host cried while talking about her struggle to have a baby. Interestingly, her co-host Chrissy Teigen also was extremely emotional about her own struggle to get pregnant.

mogul revealed through tears,"When I was 23 years old, I used to tell myself, ‘In three years I'm gonna have kids.' Then I turned 24. ‘In three years I'm gonna have kids.' And then just every single year I kept saying that. And then, after a while it's like, OK, now I want to—and it's not so easy."
Today, Chrissy is several months pregnant with her first baby, a girl, and Tyra is a new mom to a baby boy who carries both her and Erik's DNA.
