“The Real” co-hosts trekked it from Burank, California to Washington, D.C. for a one-on-one with none other than the First Lady of The United States Michelle Obama!
Talk show hosts Adrienne Bailon, Tamar Braxton, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Tamera Mowry Housley got the chance to sit down with FLOTUS inside the White House to chop it up about Mrs. Obama’s Reach Higher initiative and the Better Make Room campaign.
The Reach Higher initiative is FLOTUS’ effort to inspire every student in America to take charge of their future by completing their education past high school. Better Make Room is a public awareness campaign designed to celebrate education and inspire students to “make room” for college or other post-high school educational and training programs. So, the ladies of “The Real” asked her all about it, plus more.
Our gorgeous First Lady looked amazing in a black and white trimmed midi dress and merlot suede pumps.
Seated on a panel in the State Dining Room of the White House, First Lady Obama explained the importance of getting an education after high school and why she’s so adamant about helping all students reach higher education.
Secretary of Education John King also joined the panel to discuss the importance of higher education. Soon after, everyone received a special visit from the First Family’s dogs Bo and Sunny. Adorbs!

On the red carpet....
The 27th Annual Producers Guild Of America Awards went down at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City, California over the weekend. And it brought out hottie Michael B. Jordan looking extra dapper in an all black tailored suit.
After attending the NAACP’s Image Awards Luncheon, “black•ish” star Anthony Anderson came out for another awards event.
Award-winning "TGIT"creator Shonda Rhimes hit the carpet before accepting the Producers Guild's Norman Lear Award for Achievement in Television.
During her acceptance speech, Shonda held nothing back saying:
"I'm going to be totally honest with you, I completely deserve this. I have against the odds, courageously pioneered the art of writing for people of color as if they were human beings. I’ve bravely gone around just casting parts for actors who were the best ones. I fearlessly faced down ABC when they completely agreed with me that Olivia Pope should be black. And I raised my sword heroically and then put it down again when Paul Lee never fought me about any of my storytelling choices.”

Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray, who's film is in the running for an Oscar in the Best Picture category, looked debonair in his tux.
Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs, who recently pledged to doubling the number of women and diverse members of the Academy by 2020, came out for the ceremony.

EMMY winner Viola Davis took the stage to give a moving introduction of her boss and friend Shonda Rhimes.
CREED star Michael B. Jordan presented the winner for the most-awaited Best Picture award.
There was a bit of a mix-up after Michael announced the winner. Reportedly, no one in the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza ballroom understood him the first time he announced the winner. (Or was everyone blinded by his fineness?)
He then read it again and the producers for the film The Big Short came up and accepted the award. Oops!
