O'Shea Jackson Jr. joined the people for a good cause this week.  Pics and deets on the Straight Outta Compton star at an MLK Day of Service event in L.A. plus the sweetest words from Dad-In-Chief Obama about his oldest daughter leaving the nest....

For Monday's MLK Holiday, the folks at L.A. Works' hosted their 11th Annual MLK Day of Service.  So L.A. native O'Shea Jackson Jr. headed down to South L.A. to speak some inspirational words to 1300 volunteers at Woodcrest Elementary School.

While the volunteers were dedicating their day to beautifying and revitalizing the campus, O'Shea encouraged them to continue to live a life of purpose in inspiring others.

OK, President Obama has us in our feelings today.  The self proclaimed Dad-In-Chief got a little emotional about the thought of his oldest daughter Malia going off to college.

While speaking in Baton Rouge, LA a few days ago, Mr. President slipped into daddy-mode and exposed that sweet side many dads have (but keep locked behind that "I'm a strong man" face).  Ha!

During his Town Hall at McKinley High School, President O called on a little girl sitting on her daddy's lap, and it seemingly reminded him of his own baby girl, 17-year-old Malia.

He said,

"You know what, I’m going to call on that little young lady right there. Yes. She’s in her daddy’s lap. And my daughter -- my oldest daughter is about to go to college next year. And I can't really talk about it a lot because I start to cry."

Awww!  So sweet.  We'll probably cry too, Mr. President.

In case you missed it, here's his entire town hall event during his first presidential visit to Baton Rouge:
