Serena Williams is dishing love advice in Harper’s Bazaar’s February 2016 issue…just in time for Valentine’s Day. Come inside for the relationship gems she dropped and more inside…
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, tennis superstar Serena Williams is dishing love advice to a few hopeless romantics with relationship dilemmas.
In the February 2016 issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine, the 21-time Grand Slam winner shares some awesome advice about staying true to yourself while in a relationship. A reader in a new relationship wrote in about questioning her self-esteem and confidence, so Rena reassured her on how to stay confident and stong. She said,
“First you need to identify where the self-doubt is coming from. I think that goes back to always being yourself from the beginning. Be confident of your inner strength and beauty, and that will be reflected on the outside. My mom always taught my sisters and me to be ourselves and to stay true to who we are.”
Good advice.
So what’s Serena’s key to being sexy?
“Being sexy is really about how you carry yourself. Strength and confidence equal sexy,” she said.
Well she never lied. She looks AMAZING in the shot above.
One reader needed advice on how to upgrade her man’s wardrobe. Rena had a solution to that:
“Show him images from magazines and Pinterest that you think would look nice on him, but more important, make sure that you like who he is as a person. I like a man who has a unique style. I'd hate for him to fit into a mold or to blend in with the other guys.”
Then, one reader asked Serena if she was naïve for believing “Netflix & Chill” really meant chilling while watching Netflix movies. The 34-year-old athlete responded,
“I have to tell you, I thought the same exact thing. When I say "Netflix and chill," that's what I mean. I guess you and I are just old-fashioned—if you can call Netflix old-fashioned!”
Ha!

In sports news, Serena will hit the court for the 2016 Australian Open to defend her title this Monday. Good luck Rena!
