Nicki Minaj is doing all she can to help her boyfriend Meek Mill look like an upstanding citizen. Meanwhile, since Meek is stuck in Philly, he has picked up a new hobby: Boxing. Buuuuuut…yeah. Find out what we mean inside….
Nicki Minaj is proving to be the ride or die chick.
Fresh from performing at a controversial Christmas concert in Angola, the “Anaconda” raptress jetted to Philadelphia to reunite with her beau Meek Mill. If you haven’t heard, the MMG rapper is stuck in Philly after a judge ruled he violated his probation. It's reported he could be facing jail time and he will find out if he's going back to the big house when he goes to court in February 2016.
So in the meantime, Nicki is right by her man’s side as she helps to prove to the judge Meek isn’t a “gangsta”.
Yesterday, the twosome made a philanthropic visit to a girls’ group home. The “Only” rapper posted a pic of herself and Meek with the ladies captioning,
“There's no greater feeling than giving back. Today we met with girls in a Philly group home and it made my year. We can't show them in the photo but I know they follow me. Girls!!! You are a group or incredible young women who can do whatever you put your mind to!!! Keep your promise to me! DONT BE DEFEATED! I will check back in with you soon. Your raw emotions really touched me. I'll always remember u. thank you to the staff (seen here) for this opportunity.”
Well that was nice of them. We’re definitely not mad that they’re giving back to the community, but we can’t help but think that this is all a PR campaign to help restore Meek’s image in the judge’s eyes.
If you’re wondering why Nicki blurred out Meek’s sneakers, we found out why. According to GQ, an Instagram user uploaded a pic of Meek where his shoes weren’t blurred out. He was rocking a pair of Jordans. Well, Meek has a contract with Puma, so it appears she was looking after his coins…like a good girlfriend would. Ha.
So what else has Meek been up to since being restricted to Philly?
BOXING!
He obviously has a lot of frustration and pent-up aggression he needs to release, so what better way to release than getting in some punches on a punching bag. The “Lord Knows” rapper has been hitting up Joe Hand Gym and training with trainer Maleek Jackson to work on throwing them hands…buuuuuut why does it looks like he’s hitting so soft? He's not out here looking like he'll EFF someone up like his Twitter fingers led us to believe! No shade, justsayin’.
