Rachel Dolezal is finally admitting what everyone wanted to officially know…she’s white! More inside….
We told you former Spokane NAACP chapter president Rachel Dolezal, who's currently pregnant, would be appearing on “The Real” today. And now, she has everyone talking about her interview.
You’ll recall a few months ago, Rachel was thrown in the limelight after her parents outed her as a white woman pretending to be a black woman. Folks were outraged that this woman was pretending to be black and many were seeking the truth to the question: Is she really black?
Well she’s finally putting the rumors to rest. YES, she’s biologically white, born to two white parents. But, she still insists she identifies as a black woman.
She began her revelation by saying,
"I acknowledge that I was biologically born white to white parents, but I identify as black.”
Audience members jumped up and roared in applause. Co-host Tamera Mowry-Housley took it a step further and asked her what does it mean to her to be black in which she responded,
“How we feel is more powerful than how we’re born. Blackness can be defined as philosophical, cultural or biological. I think you do have to walk the walk if that’s who you are.”
Tamar Braxton then asked if you she feels she walks the walk as a black woman in which she responded “Absolutely.” Well, that’s when Tamar had to broke it down to her how white privilege offers her opportunities that she would never get based on the color of her skin.
In a weird exchange, when Tamar asked if she has ever experienced racism as a “black person,” she responded, “The police mark black on my driving tickets. You get the B, the W, or the U. They identify you.” Chile….
