Whoopi Goldberg has some interesting views about opportunity in Hollywood. Find out what she said below and get the deets on Bobby Brown's autobiography.
In a recent interview with BET.com, Whoopi Goldberg responded to a question about Viola Davis's Emmy speech where the Emmy-winner famously said, "The only thing that separates women of color from anybody else is opportunity."
Well....Whoopi, one of the most successful actresses of all-time, "sees" Hollywood a little differently. She told BET.com,
"Well, I’m not sure what it means. Opportunity to do what? Do you know what I mean?... The truth of the matter is there’s been plenty of opportunity. I mean, Scandal. Let’s just start with that. Kerry Washington is there and she’s working her booty off, okay? But they didn’t vote for her. So, maybe the question is, 'What do you have to do to get voted on?' That's the thing."

In what publisher Dey Street Book is billing as a“raw and unvarnished” memoir, the ORIGINAL King of RnB is about to tell ALL! Why? Cause it's his prerogative. And that's actually the name of the book, “My Prerogative.”
“My Prerogative” is due in stores in 2016 June and will take readers into Bobby's “crazy, exciting, fascinating world.” In a statement about the forthcoming tome, he said,
“Right after I signed on to write my story, I went through one of the most agonizing traumas I had ever experienced with the death of my daughter. But I was surprised by how therapeutic it was to work on this project, to look at the entire arc of my life and to realize that although there has been considerable pain, I have also been incredibly blessed. I hope my fans and other readers of this book will be entertained by this trip into the crazy, exciting, fascinating world of Bobby Brown. And I hope they will feel that I have been as honest and open with them in these pages as I have tried to be my entire life.”
The publishers claim the book will also “tell the full story of his life and set the record straight, particularly about his relationship with Whitney Houston.”
