NBA baller Matt Barnes went for a HUGE 3-pointer... alluding he was in a relationship with international Pop star Rihanna...but chick called foul…real quick!
Over the weekend, TMZ caught up with Matt, who was recently traded to the Memphis Grizzlies, after he participated in a baseball game at the UCLA Softball Stadium.
There have been rumors circulating that RiRi and Matt were hooking up (although she’s been spotted all over with Lewis Hamilton), so when photogs caught up with the NBA star they asked him about it. He said, “Rhianna’s my friend now so we’ll see where it goes.”
When asked if there was a possibility for a relationship in the future, he responded,“Yea, possibly. I think it's just past the crush stage…just a little bit though.” His ex-wife Gloria Govan was even supportive of their supposed relationship.

It sounded promising…but not so fast! Rih certainly doesn’t feel the same way. She hopped on Instagram, posting a picture of Matt during his interview and hilariously shut down the dating rumors with a bevy of captions. Check it:
