With all of the drama and foolish activitiesthat have made headlines about troubled actorColumbus Short, it's refreshing to finally receive some good news about the star. Columbus is making a comeback landing his first major television role since being fired from the hit ABC series“Scandal” last year. We loved him as Harrison, so we're happy to hear he's back to working at his craft.
The former Gladiator will be joining TV One’s original horror film franchise Fear Files, where he will play City Councilman Harvey Jordan.
According to E!, Columbus’ character plans to build a football stadium in a low income neighborhood that ends up causing friction within the community. A deadly fire breaks out that ends up killing the last resident who strongly opposes of his plan, leading the community to believe the fire could have arranged by the councilman.
Also starring in the film is “Let’s Stay Together” actress Erica Hubbard. She will play a reporter named Kelisia Waters who Columbus’ character must win over to help sway the media that he had nothing to do with the fire.
Fear Files premieres Friday, March 13th at 8PM ET on TV One. Will you be watching Columbus’ return to the small screen?

In between guest starring as Dr. Ike Prentiss on Showtime's “Nurse Jackie” series, Morris Chestnut will be gearing up to play another doctor for a lead role in a new television series for the FOX network. Yes, we get another black lead in a drama series..and he’s fine.
In the untitled drama pilot, written/executive produced by Todd Harthan, Morris will reportedly play Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, Jr., a private pathologist who can read living and dead bodies, oozing charisma and charm. Nice!
We’ll be seeing a lot more of the sexy actor as has been hard at work with multiple new projects.
