As with the Nina Simone biopic, the family of late singer Marvin Gaye is not on board with a planned biopic, but that hasn't stopped producers from moving forward and hiring Lenny Kravtiz. This would be a high profile acting role for Lenny, who attended an East Room reception at the White House before making an appearance at the Kennedy Center Honors last night. But now, Marvin Gaye III is speaking out with hopes that his childhood friend & old schoolmate, Lenny, will honor the legacy of his father and withdraw from the flick. Marvin told TMZ,
"The producers and directors of this film are very wrong and shameful ... [They're] trying to do a film about a low period in his life. They don't even know the whole story."
Apparently, the movie will focus on the 80's--a time of heavy drug use and right before Marvin was shot and killed by his own father.
Marvin hopes to speak to Lenny because he doesn't understand why he would do this movie--seeing that he and Marvin Jr. are still friends."I would hope [Lenny] doesn't have any idea that we are against this film being done."
We'll let you know if Lenny changes his mind. Highly doubtful....

Katt Williams is BACK in trouble...not long after he pimp slapped a Target employee in Sacramento. Get the deets on the comedian's arrest in Seattle this weekend after a couple of foolish fights with random folks...
More drama follows Micah "Katt" Williams. Katt was booked to perform in Seattle, Washington at the Paramount this weekend (Thursday-Saturday), and drama ensued--leading to him getting arrested on Sunday afternoon.
“During the incident Williams exchanged words with patrons in the bar, brandished a pool cue at a bar manager and refused to leave the business. At one point during the altercation, Williams followed a family outside of the bar where, as the family got into their car, Williams flicked a cigarette through a car window at a woman, striking her just below her eye....Williams also threw a rock at the family’s car."
Police said Williams struggled with officers as they tried to put him into a patrol car. Sigh. So he was arrested and booked at King County Jail for harassment, assault and obstructing police. He's still currently in lock up and expected to have a Monday afternoon (today) bail hearing.
By the way, he missed his Thursday show for some reason and performed on Friday. After Friday's show, he got into an altercation with three fans but wasn't arrested. The Police Department rep explains:
“Following Williams’ Friday evening show, Williams was involved in an altercation with three fan. The fans claimed Williams had attacked them after they tried to take a photo with him after the show. However, Williams claimed the fans had forced their way into his dressing room, and denied assaulting anyone.”
No arrest was made for Friday's incident. Katt told the police he would be leaving and skipping his show on Sunday, but apparently that did NOT happen. By the way, Katt is 41 based on his booking sheets, even though he's listed as 39 in online biographies.

TLC is prepping for reality tv's next phenomenon, "The Sisterhood." Meet the pastor's wives who'll be stirring up drama in the name of Jesus inside.....
Set in the heart of Atlanta (obvi), TLC is hoping "The Sisterhood" will bring the same drama and excitement of "RHOA" and ""BBW," but with "Jesus" as a storyline. The show provides a candid look at five larger-than-life preacher's wives as they run their families and churches. And since we've learned that a successful reality show is based on drama, you'll be able to count on these ladies to bring that to the table as well.
Accoridng to the trailer, tension will run high as the "ONLY" thing the ladies agree on in their love of God. "Everything else is up for grabs," says one of the wives.
So what's going to set this show apart from other reality shows based on groups of women? From looking at the promo...not much. There will be skeletons (one of the preacher's wives admits to being a former crack addict), there will be sex (one couple is into handcuffs) there will be fighting, and there will be lots of shoes and fancy clothes. We guess the only difference is everything is done with just a touch a Jesus.

Miami Heat star LeBron James, who is just the second player to win an NBA championship, MVP title and gold medal in the same year, was named SI's "Sportsman of the Year."
LeBron reflected on winning the honor and his "Decision" to move to Miami saying,
"I remember just like yesterday when I signed here and basically, like the roof caved in. "To see that I and my team and everyone around me was able to patch that roof up, to come to this point, to come to this point and receive such a prestigious award, it's huge."
Sports Group editor Paul Fichtenbaum said,
"LeBron kind of made it easy on us. In a year that had really high standards, he just stood taller than everybody else. As for the couple's (pictured above at this year's ESPY Awards) proposal story, here's what his mom told the Washington Times:
"As they were walking in, [Robert] started singing the song. I had set up candles – battery-operated candles; I didn’t want to burn the building down – right here in the middle. Her mom and her dad and her two sisters and my family – my husband and [RG3’s] two sisters – were all standing in a circle with a candle in our hand.
"He walked her to the circle. She couldn’t see. We had it dark in here. When they got close to the BU [midfield logo], we all hit our candles and it came on. She was like, ‘What is this?’ And he got on one knee.
"The funny thing about it is he came in the building and he said, ‘Rebecca, wait a minute. I’ve got to use the bathroom.’ And my husband was in the bathroom with the ring. He gave him the ring, and it was a fun time."
"It wasn’t initially supposed to be in here," Mrs. Griffin said. "He showed me a tree that they used to go sit under and talk, but it stormed that night. He was like, ‘Mom, you’ve got to come up with a backup plan for me.’ And you know that military kicked in. We always have to have a backup plan.
"I happened to be driving past here, and I saw that the facility lights were on. The whole time I was driving around going, ‘God, please give me a plan.’ I came in here and they were showing recruits the facility.
"The coach told me, he said, ‘Mrs. Griffin, what’s going on?’ I said, ‘I think I need to use the facility,’ but I couldn’t tell him what it was for. I said, ‘I need to use the facility for a few minutes. Is that OK?’ He said, ‘Well, as long as you finish by the time we get back in here.’ I ran around him like a little chicken with my head cut off, putting everything together."
"He was like, ‘Mom, Mom, we’re coming!’ My husband was like, ‘Honey, they’re on their way.’ But it all worked out. We got in here. He sung the song. He got on his knees. We all were crying. She was crying.

Troubled comedian Katt Williams has announced that he's walking away from stand-up comedy. Well, according to an interview he did with a tv news station. See video of his tearful announcement inside....
With tears streaming down his face, Katt Williams announced on Seattle's KOMO News 4 that he is retiring from stand-up comedy. The statement comes on the heels of his arrest in Seattle after a string of fights with random people and an entire year of embarassing and violent outbursts.
Looking worn and weary and barely like himself during the street interview, Katt says he's already discussed his decision with his kids before explaning, "I'm kinda done."

More shocking details have emerged in the Jovan Belcher murder/suicide including what will happen to his three-month-old daughter and what an allegedly drunken Jovan was doing the night before he murdered his girlfriend. Get more infomation inside.....
Though family members previously said that Jovan Belcher and his girlfriend Kasandra Perkins had a happy relationship, more details have emerged, painting a very different picture of the couple's rocky times.
As police are still trying to determine a motive for the murder-suicide, it's been revealed by sources close tot he couple that the couple had been arguing for months, and the Kansas City Chiefs team had been “bending over backward” to assist the couple with counseling.
Kasandra's cousin, Angela Perkins, said Jovan's constant training and time away from home put a strain on the relationship. "There was just a lot going on. She was stressed. He was stressed. It just started to go bad, but they had the child, and they were trying to make it work."
But as the case unfolds, it's now been revealed that Jovan spent the night before the murder dining with another woman. The NY Post reports that the professional footballer had a "boozy" dinner in downtown Kansas City with a woman named Brittni Glass. As far as what went on during dinner, Brittni told the NY Post, “I was with him that night, that’s it.”
After the dinner, Jovan apparently returned home and had an argument with Kasandra around 1am (we told you earlier that Kasandra had spent the evening at a Trey Songz concert and Jovan was upset about her late arrival).
An angered Jovan left the house following the argument and drove to Brittni's apartment where he seems to have fallen asleep in his car. Around 2:30am, he was awakened by the police (who received a phone about a man sleeping in a parked car) and he told them he was waiting on a friend. The police had him call Brittny and "someone" let him into the building.
Later, two neighbors saw him knocking on Brittny's door (which oddly went unanswered) and they offered him the opportunity to sleep on one of their couches because he was in no condition to drive. He asked to be awakened at 6:30am because he had a team meeting to get to.
Jovan left Brittni's building around 6:45am and made the 10-minute drive home where he later shot Kasandra during an argument that happened around 7am. From there, he made the short drive to Arrowhead Stadium.
Jovan reportedly told the Chief's General Manager Scott Piolo: "I did it. I killed her. I got to go. I can't be here." And before killing himself, he told Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel, "I have to do this." He then knelt behind a vehicle, made the sign of the cross and shot himself in the head.
The Kansas City Starreports that Jovan's mother, Cheryl Shepherd, who witnessed her son shoot Kasandra, has temporary custody of the couple's 3-month-old Zoey Michelle Belcher.
Both family's released statements about the tragic events. The Perkins family said,
"On behalf of the Perkins Family, we appreciate the outpouring of love and concern for our Kassandra 'Kasi' Perkins. Our hearts are truly broken for Kasi was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, mother, cousin and friend.
Please keep us in your hearts and prayers as well as the Belcher family for two lives were loss. Again we thank you for your support, our wish is for Kasi to be remembered for the love she shared with us all. Kasi will be truly missed!"
And the Belcher family said, "As a family, no words can express the sorrow we feel over the loss of Jovan and Kasandra."

We did a little digging, and it turns out Mr. Walter Jackson has a rep in Atlanta for being a playboy. So when a pic surfaced a few weeks ago of him boo'd up at an Atlanta Hawks game with a chick who wasn't"RHOA" star Kenya Moore, tongues got to waggin'.
Now, we've learned the identity of the chick in question, and she's aspiring singer/songwriter Christon Ingram. Christon showed folks that basketball game pic wasn't just a fluke by posting another pic of her and a Gucci hat wearing Walter sharing some kisses (above).
Isn't that interesting? Whee asked about Walter stepping out with other women--like she was asked on "The Wendy SHow" last week--Kenya just says e have to watch to see what happens. I'm sure...
Meanwhile, Christin showed off her curves in her Instagram pics--since we all know, thanks to Kenya who made it known on this season's premiere, that he's a sucker for a big booty. Guess this works for him.

He and his crew seemed to enjoy the variety of "legal" herbs offered.

Chris' mother, Joyce Hawkins, was greeting by fans outside of the Conrad Hotel in Dublin, Ireland. The fan were waiting for Chris to return following his show yesterday. The next stop for Chris is Antwerp, Belgium.
And.....
Chris' "friend" Rihanna spent yesterday directing and starring in her spring/summer campaign for retailer River Island (whose line she helped design). The shoot, held in LA, starred Jourdan Dunn along with Rihanna herself.
She tweeted,
“My bitches so Bvalgari… Just directed my first ad campaign for my new collection with River Island, Spring/Summer 2013!! And that’s a wrap at the end of a 2 day shoot w/ MARIO SORRENTI."
Though the "friends" aren't together now (due to work commitments) a source close to Rihanna says the singer compares their friendship to that of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. The source told Hollywood Life,
“She loves that old Whitney jam and knows that she and Chris have so much in common that just bonds them. They get each other just like Bobby and Whitney. You could see it’s like real love with she and Chris – like ain’t no bullshi**ng. The s**t is magical and it’s real.”
