Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union enjoy being that cute, cheesy couple who likes to dress alike. So it was no surprise seeing their coordinated 'fits on the pink carpet at the 2019 Met Gala.

Yeah, y'all see it.

The "Being Mary Jane" star stunned in custom Dundas hand embroidered paillette gown and floor length jacket. Chick is literally aging backwards and we're tempted to hate her for it.

Get into the details, honey:

Mr. Wade rocked a Dundas look that featured the same embroidery from his wife's gown.  Kaavia James' parents def appeared to have been having fun during their date night.

Inside, Gabby enjoyed some bubbly while dancing up on her man.

She also snapped it up with her homie Ciara, also slaying in Dundas. Just gorge.

The Beauty Marks queen had nan an imperfection at tonight's Met Gala.  After twerking her way up the carpet with Big Freedia in her first look topped off with afro puffs, she delivered a second.

Ci's Camp style was bedazzled, emerald perfection, created custom by Peter Dundas (her jumpsuit was custom designed by him too), filled with cut outs along with a super extra 'fro we literally can't get over.  Like, if you are sitting or standing anywhere near her tonight, you aint gonna see a damn thing BUT her fine self.

Frank Ocean Wore The Most Boring 'Fit Ever At The Met Gala, But Was It On Theme?

Frank Ocean hit up the Met Gala in one of the most boring outfits of the evening. However, was it his unconventional way of serving up the CAMP theme? Decide inside...

 photo FrankMet2.jpg

Was he the paparazzi? A mall cop? A valet? A TSA agent? People were mad confused they saw Frank Ocean make his way on the pink carpet at the 2019 Met Gala.

This year's CAMP theme was all about dramatics, exaggerated, over-the-top fashion. Yet, the R&B crooner made no attempt at adding anything extra to his outfit.

The Blonde singer wore a plain white t-shirt with a black tie, black cropped trousers, chunky black shoes and a Prada pullover. Oh, he was also toting around his own camera, snapping flicks. Simple and plain right? Yep. Well, maybe that's what he was going for.

In a sea of outlandish, extravagant outfits, Frank stood out because he was extra ordinary. Get it? Out on the street, he would blend in with everyone else. Folks think he's a genius so....we guess it's possible.

Listen, we're not exactly sure what he was trying to do, but it's worth noting that folks def took notice of his 'fit and that's basically what celebs are going for after an event like this.

Were you feeling Frank Ocean's flashlight cop look?  Or should he have stayed home and just ate his food?

Michael B. Jordan's sequin suit was too suave for CAMP, but he def looked GOODT on the pink carpet at the Met Gala. More inside...

This year's Met Gala theme was meant to push attendees to wear some of the outlandish and over-the-top fashions. Michael B. Jordan wasn't really extra camp-y with his 'fit, but he did add a little extraness to a typical black tuxedo to honor the theme.

Lena Waithe Repped For Black Drag Queens In Her Pyer Moss Statement Suit At The Met Gala

Uber fab chick Lena Waithe made a statement in her power suit at the 2019 Met Gala. Get into her tribute to black drag queens, plus deets on a spelling mistake on the back of her blazer inside...

EMMY winning writer Lena Waithe is always repping for the LGBTQ+ community. Last year, she slayed in a rainbow cape to pay homage to her community. This year, she decided to make a statement that paid homage to the black drag queens who invented everything CAMP.

"The Chi" creator rocked a custom Pyer Moss suit alongside fashion designer Kerby Jean-Raymond, who rocked a similar suit. Kerby is the founder of the menswear label Pyer Moss.

Bomb fact: The pinstripes on their suits were made out of lyrics from classic tracks like Diana Ross' "I'm Coming Out" and Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive." The designer teamed up with Johnny Nelson Jewelry to create 16 custom Iconic sculpture portrait buttons and black power fist cuff links to adorn their suits. Kerby's buttons featured his favorite rap artists like Nas, Nipsey Hussle, J. Cole, Meek Mill, Drake, Tupac, Jay Z and Kendrick Lamar. Lena's button's were dedicated to LGBTQ+ icons like RuPaul, Dorian Corey, Freddie Pendavis, Octavia St. Laurent and more. They also wore custom gators by The Shoe Surgeon's Dominic Ciambrone.

It was the message on the back of Lena's blazer that had everyone on notice.

I came to slay, bitch.

A post shared by Lena Waithe (@lenawaithe) on

Lena's message on the back reads, "Black Drag Queens Invented Camp." However, folks noticed there was a slight typo on her jacket. It actually reads, "Black Drag Queens INVENTEND Camp."  We thought it was just the font, but folks swear it actually is an extra N on the jacket.

Now INVENTEND is a new word:

Ha!

"Kerby Jean-Raymond came up with a design," Lena told E! on the carpet. "We collaborated on really bringing a message. To me, I really wanted to make sure my outfit represented the black drag queens who started this camp thing about being over the top and all that jazz. People like RuPaul, all these pioneers who really started this whole thing and I really wanted to pay tribute to them."

The back of Kerby's blazer reads, "Fix Your Credit. Pool Money. Buy Back The Block." Very Nispey Hussle-inspired.

Odell Beckham Jr. Rocked A Kilt With A Sleeveless Thom Browne Jacket At The Met Gala - Here's Why!

 photo 2019MetGalaCelebratingCampNotesFashionrvOnAwhXhCRl.jpg

Ballers love fashion! Go inside to find out why NFLer Odell Beckham Jr. decided to rock a kilt at the Met Gala....

We all know professional athletes love fashion and love dressing up. In fact, they probably like the extra attention they get when they wear certain pieces. NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. knew he would get tongues wagging if he showed up at the Met Gala in a kilt. So, that's exactly what he did.

The Cleveland Browns wide receiver (who was recently traded from the Giants) knew he wanted to do something with a WOW factor, but he was nervous about being able to pull it off in the beginning.

At first, he was going to wear shorts. While doing fittings at Thom Browne's headquarters, he chopped it up with GQ about how his entire look came about during a fitting at Thom Browne.

“I told [former Giants teammate Saquon Barkley] about wearing shorts [to the Met] and now he's trying to wear shorts,” Beckham told GQ. “He's like, ‘Is it going to be weird if we both wear shorts?’ I’m like, ‘It doesn't matter, I’m going to look better than you anyway.’”

A kilt hanging on a rack catches his eye, he picks it up, and wonders if he could pull it off.

“Would you wear that [jacket] with the kilt?” Beckham asked out loud. He talks himself into and out of it simultaneously.

“You know when somebody wears something and you're like, ‘Nah, that ain’t it’?” he asked. “I haven’t had too many fits where it's like, that ain’t it.” On the other hand: “I definitely could pull it off.”

Kilt, check!

Next, he decided to have the tailor rip the sleeves off of a multi-thousand dollar jacket, Hulk-style. ,

“We've never cut the sleeves off for anyone before,” a Thom Browne employee told Beckham. “Thom wanted you to know that.”

He's cutting up, breaking all of the fashion rules. The hand-cut Thom Browne sleeveless tuxedo jacket with the kilt was the out-of-the-box look Beckham was looking for.

And he's finally in a good spot in his life.

“I’m probably the happiest I’ve ever been in my life," he shared.

Not even mad. Keep doing you OBJ!

By the way, his former teammate Saquon Barkley did rock shorts on the carpet:

4 Whole Years Have Passed, And Sandra Bland's Own Video Of Her Violent Traffic Stop Before She Died Is JUST Now Being Released

 photo 150721165002-sandra-bland-sister-tapper-intv-lead-00034525-super-169_zps6osdn9xe.jpg

The story of Sandra Bland still doesn't sit right with most of us.  Now that a new video recording of the traffic stop before her arrest, taken from Sandra's vantage point, has been uncovered four years later, it raises even more questions about her subsequent death.  Watch inside.

In 2015, Sandra Bland was pulled over near the Texas town where she was seeking a job.  A traffic stop over "failure to signal lane change" turned violent, and she was arrested.  She died just days later by suicide, and her family refuses to believe she took her own life.

Police dash cam footage was released during the investigation of her death, and it showed an unnecessarily violent exchange between Sandra and the officer.  Many believe she had a right to refuse his requests during the traffic stop, and also believe the officer over reacted and mishandled her and the situation, which ended with him arresting her.  It raised questions if this mistreatment had anything to do with possible mistreatment once she was behind bars.

Now, video from Sandra's phone and from her vantage point has been released. Interestingly, police or the country never released this.  It was released due to the work of WFAA ABC News in Dallas, in partnership with the Investigative Network.  WFAA states Sandra's cellphone video fuels the Bland family’s suspicions that Texas officials withheld evidence in her controversial arrest and, later, her death.

In the 39-second video, Bland asks Trooper Brian Encinia, "Why am I being apprehended?" and directs her phone's camera at him. By the time she does get the camera to focus on him, Encinia is pointing a stun gun at her.

"Get out of the car. I will light you up," Encinia says.

"Wow, wow, wow. You’re doing all this for a failure to signal?" Bland asks.

You can watch the disturbing new footage below:

Sandra was pulled over by state trooper Brian Ecinia during a routine traffic stop after she had just moved to Waller County in July 2015 seeking a job at her alma mater, Prairie View A&M University. She was pulled over for allegedly failing to signal a lane change. She was taken to jail and charged with a third-degree felony charge. She was later found mysteriously hanging in her cell with a plastic garbage bag around her neck three days later. Her family still believes she would have never killed herself.

According to NBC News:

Cannon Lambert, who represented Bland's family in lawsuits against the state and county jail that were settled for almost $2 million in total, told The Associated Press he hadn't seen the clip until recently.

The video wasn't a part of evidence turned over by investigators, he said.

No charges were filed against the Trooper Ecinia, and https://theybf.com/2016/09/15/breaking-sandra-bland%E2%80%99s-family-rep... ">the family did reach a settlement of $1.9 million after a civil suit they launched against Waller County Police Department.

The 48-year-old model embraced the Camp theme in a lavender feathered caped high slit gown created by Valentino’s Pierpaolo Piccioli (above). She finished the look with white decorated lace tights. No, not the tights your granny used to wear Easter Sunday.

The global superstar wanted to capture that "hair in the wind" moment while on the carpet, so guess what she did? She had a man following her around fanning her with a large piece of plastic to act as her own human wind machine. Bishhhh.

For the ladies, he created works of art for Regina Hall, Bevy Smith, Ashley Graham, and Karlie Kross. For the fellas, he was the mastermind behind "Power" star Omari Hardwick, rapper 21 Savage's suits. He also designed French Montana's ensemble. Everyone was in Gucci.

The legendary Harlem designer - who has a partnership with Gucci - defended wearing the brand following the "black face" controversy. Folks were calling to boycott the brand. However, Dapper Dan is not down with cancel culture. In an interview with Elle, he responded to people who feel like he's a "sell out."

"People in the community are like, 'Man, leave them! Leave Gucci and all this stuff.' They don't understand. Until I make them understand the beauty of this, the significance of this, the importance of this, I can't go anywhere."

"You only see me walking, but you know who's walking behind me? Nelson Mendela's walking behind me, Jackie Robinson's walking behind me, Martin Luther King, all of those people are behind me," he continued. "All those people who've suffered the slings and arrows of oppression in those difficult moments. But you know what they all have in common and what people don't understand? I am here for a purpose. Nelson Mendela, you name them all, they all had to get that same thing which is an education, information, you know? Being a partner of Gucci opens up a whole world. A whole world of education. Me being here, navigating like this here, lets them know, "This is important to us, this cannot do." I don't know this generation, these grass-rooters. They're easy to lead because they do not read.

"The African American brands that have come about all collapsed for a lack of knowledge. Gucci has afforded me an opportunity to function on this level for the first time. I know how to sell to blacks, I know how to be black, I know how to be in the black community. Gucci afforded me the opportunity to go global black. This is a global blackness. You have to connect this to something that's larger than what's going on now. This is our opportunity to be reflected internationally, to have a presence. Not just here, in America, but an international presence. This thing with Gucci is so big. Gucci has offered us a platform to say, "Come on in!"

There you have it.

"Power" duo 50 Cent and LaLa Anthony are teaming up to co-star in a new STARZ project. Deets inside...

Another one!

"Power" executive producer Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and "Power" starlet LaLa Anthony are joining forces again, and La is the perfect person to have on the team.

The duo is working on a new soapy drama titled "Intercepted" that'll be produced via 50's G-Unit Films and Television.

Mrs. Anthony has been tapped to star AND executive produce, according to Deadline. Get those coins, La.

"Intercepted" is based on Alexa Martin’s bestselling novel of the same name. It's the first of a three-part book series called The Playbook, which was inspired by the years Alex Martin spent as an NFL wife. FUN FACT: LaLa is the best-selling author of two books, The Love Playbook and The Power Playbook.

Deadline reports:

Intercepted centers on Marlee Harper (Anthony), who is the perfect girlfriend. She’s sure had enough practice, dating her NFL-star boyfriend for the last 10 years. But when her relationship unexpectedly ends, she vows to never date an athlete again. Only one problem: Gavin Pope, the new star quarterback in town, has Marlee in his sights.

Perfect role for La as she's a real-life WAG with her fair share of relationship ups and downs, so she'll be able to add just enough emotion to bring her charcter to life on-screen.

The new series is part of 50's overall deal with STARZ. He's also developing a series "Black Mafia Family" and "Vanguard" for the network.

EXTRAS:

1. The STEM School of Highlands Ranch will be closed today and for the rest of the week following a May 7 shooting during which one student died and eight others were injured. STORY

Here he is!  The Sussexes stepped out for the first time as a family of three today, presenting Baby Susex for the first time at Windsor Castle.  First time parents Meghan and Harry welcomed their baby boy just two days ago, and now we know just how adorable he is.

Meghan's post-baby glow was on 100, wearing a cute white trench dress by up and coming British designer, Grace Wales Bonner (who is also bi-racial) for the big reveal.  The couple also broke Royal tradition once again by having the father, Duke Harry, carry the baby out for the first time instead of the mother.

Minutes after the reveal, the Sussexes revealed their newborn baby's name: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.  Baby Archiewas welcomed to the fold today as he met his great grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh, for the first time.

Baby Archie's grandmother Doria - Meghan's mother - was front and center with the fam too. Loves it!

The couple came out to chat with the media earlier today and snapped pics for the world to see his Royal cuteness. Not only do we now know his name, but we know he has his parents' blush-y cheeks and Meghan's lips.  Meghan says he has the sweetest demeanor.  Awww!

NEW GIG! Chadwick Boseman Is About To Serve Up African Samurai Realness In New Movie

$

 photo chadwickafricanrole.png

Chadwick Boseman is about to make history after nabbing an epic role as an African Samurai. More inside...

Chadwick Boseman gave us African excellence in Black Panther. Now, he's ready to do it again in another project.

The Avengers star has landed a job to play Yasuke, the first and only African samurai in Japanese history.

“The legend of Yasuke is one of history’s best-kept secrets, the only person of non-Asian origin to become a Samurai,” Boseman told Deadline. “That’s not just an action movie, that’s a cultural event, an exchange, and I am excited to be part of it.”

The film's development kicked off in 2017 when Mike De Luca and Stephen L’Heureux said they were working on co-producing a movie based on the real-life historical character of Yasuke. Mr. Boseman and Logan Coles’ X●ception Content have also signed on to produce the film adaptation of the story.

Here's a little backstory about Yasuke:

Yasuke was a native of Portuguese Mozambique who was brought to Japan as a slave to Jesuit missionaries. The first black man to set foot on Japanese soil, Yasuke’s arrival aroused the interest of Nobunaga, a ruthless warlord seeking to unite the fractured country under his banner. A complex relationship developed between the two men as Yasuke earned Nobunaga’s friendship, respect — and ultimately, the honor, swords and title of samurai.

"Narcos" co-creator Doug Miro will adapt the biography into the script, according to Deadline. Looks like it's a race to get a movie about Yasuke out to the masses. MGM has set a rival project that has a script by Stuart C. Paul, and Whalerock Industries’ Lloyd Braun and Andrew Mittman producing. Interesting.

Congrats, Chadwick! We already KNOW he's going to slay this role.  Literally.

By the way, Chadwick's currently shooting Spike Lee's new movie Da 5 Bloods in Thailand.  It's about a group of veterans from the Vietnam War return to the jungle to find their lost innocence.

Common Shares Details About How He Was Sexually Abused As A Child In New Memoir

Common opens up like never before in his new book that is now available. More inside...

Rapper-turned-actor Common has been a journey where he's learning to practice love. Learning to love himself enough where he can spread love and light to others. He just released his new memoir “Let Love Have the Last Word,” where he opens up about therapy and wanting to erase the stigma it has in the black community.

The Grammy Award winner also shares how two years ago, while working on a scene with actress/friend Laura Dern for "The Tale," a haunting memory resurfaced of him being molested by a family friend as a kid.

“One day, while talking through the script with Laura, old memories surprisingly flashed in my mind,” he writes. “I caught my breath and just kept looping the memories over and over, like rewinding an old VHS tape…I said ‘Laura, I think I was abused.'”

The Chi-town native goes on to share the incident happened when he was 9 or 10-years-old when he and his family went on a road trip to Cleveland.

“I was excited for a road trip I was about to take with my family. My mother; my godmother, Barbara; her son and my godbrother Skeet; and his relative, who I’ll call Brandon…”

He said once they got to his aunt's house, he and Brandon were made to share a bed together one night of the trip.

“At some point I felt Brandon’s hand on me,” he writes. “I pushed him away. I don’t remember saying a whole lot besides ‘No, no, no.'”

While he tried to get him to stop, his abuser wouldn't.

“He kept saying ‘It’s okay, It’s okay,’ as he pulled down my shorts and molested me. After he stopped he kept asking me to perform it on him. I kept repeating ‘No’ and pushing him away,” the rapper writes. “I felt a deep and sudden shame for what happened.”

Back then, abuse wasn't openly talked about like it is today. To deal with what happened, the rapper said he "buried" the memory.

“I just pushed the whole thing out of my head,” he writes. “Maybe it’s a matter of survival—Even now, two years after that flash resurgence of memories, as I’m writing, I’m still working through all of this in myself and with my therapist.”

Common said he hasn't spoken to or seen the person in over 25 years and this is his first time speaking about the one-time incident. He said he has forgiven him for his sake.

“I want to be a person who helps break cycles of violence,” he writes. “This is love in action and I intend to practice it.”

Good for him.  We love that he's using his huge platform and vulnerability to help others.

One of our fave hood classics is back.  Master P and his son Romeo Miller are gearing up for the release of I Got The Hook Up sequel. Deets on when it drops inside...

Remember Master P's I Got The Hook Up?! Their whole cell phone ring had us cracking up.

Now, over 20 years later, Master P and his son Romeo Miller are teaming up for the sequel, I Got The Hook Up 2. Of course, P is executive producing the flick and they'll both be starring in it. Keeping that Miller legacy alive.

Several familiar faces will be popping up in the sequel, including P's daughter Cymphonique Miller, Sheryl Underwood, John Witherspoon, Michael Blackson, and Clifton Powell; as well as a plethora of the biggest social media sensations, rappers folks love, and reality stars including Jess Hilarious, Young Jeezy, Kash Doll, YFN Lucci, Apryl Jones, Erica Mena, Juju, Webbie, and more.

“This project is not only hilariously funny, but it expresses the vitality of gentrification, entrepreneurship, and coming together as a family during hard times,” said Master P. “With all the tragedies in the world, we could all use a good laugh. This is one of the may projects on the way from Genius Minds Films.”

“In 1998, Master P created what would eventually become a cult classic with the release of I Got the Hook-Up, said Brett Dismuke, Chief Content Officer of UMC. “Now, 21 years later, we are excited to partner with P and his team on the return of ‘Black’ and ‘Blue’ in I Got the Hook-Up 2. In recent years, the existence of the classic Black comedic film has been limited. But with the release of the sequel this summer, UMC is bringing back the Black comedic film for audiences across the country to enjoy both on the big screen and from the comfort of their homes.”

I Got The Hook Up 2 is set to hit theaters on July 12, 2019. The film will make its streaming debut on UMC (Urban Movie Channel) in October 2019.

Here's what you can expect from the comedy sequel:

In the original 1998 film, Master P and comedian AJ Johnson (Friday, Menace II Society, House Party) star as Black and Blue, two small time scam artists who sell boom boxes and broken TV’s from their van at a local parking lot. When a shipment of cellular phones gets to them by mistake, it doesn’t take long before the FBI and local crime bosses are after them. Reprising their roles in the upcoming sequel, I Got the Hook-Up 2 picks up with Black and Blue as they run a local restaurant.

When an incident results in their restaurant being shut down, Black needs to find some cash – fast. He thinks his luck has turned when Blue’s son, Fatboy (Fatboy SSE) and his best friend Spyda (DC Young Fly), brings him a stash of stolen cell phones and Black decides to sell them on the streets. The only problem is, the boxes with the phones also contain the Colombian cartel’s stash of Molly which Spyda decided to go ahead and sell. Now, it’s up to Black to find a way back in the game, get rid of these burners, and pay back the cartel before time runs out.

We know how folks feel about sequels, but we're actually here for this, especially because of the line up. And we're rooting for anybody black.
