Through tears and meditation, Wendy Williams returned to her purple chair today. She graced the "Wendy Show" with her presence again, and addressed all her health issues in detail while skimming over the rumors of her husband's alleged cheating scandal.
Wendy showed up looking fresh faced and ready to get back into the swing of things today on "The Wendy Show." Regardless of how suspect we think her explanation was, the break definitely did her some good.
After a break that went from 2 weeks to several months, Wendy says she's doing "swell" after feeling down from....her thyroid issues. She's also now in the gym 2 hours a day and says she hasn't gained a pound.
In between focusing on healthcare and encouraging viewers to go see doctors and make their health a priority, she made sure to flash that ring. We guess she's letting us know the rumors of her husband's alleged cheating aren't a factor. Mmhmm.
We've all been waiting on Wendy to make her return. Well, most of us have. Some folks have been urging the production company to replace her for another host. We knew that wasn't going to happen, but we also had a feeling an admission of her husband's penis sharing ways also wouldn't happen. (It didn't last time this happened, remember?) And we were right.
Like Natasha said on the most recent YBF Podcast (listen at the 1:30 mark), what we DIDN'T want was for Wendy to hop back up in her purple chair and act like this extra extended leave of absence from her show - for the first time in the history of her career - was only because of a fractured shoulder that occurred like 4 months ago and because she was tired from thyroid meds.
But, that's exactly what she did. At least this time she added in her need for a personal break, mainly to "spend time as a family" with her son and her husband.
After she basically read off her medical receipts, she got to her husband's rumored cheating ways that led to him allegedly impregnating his alleged side chick he's been pictured with many times. It seems Wendy believes all receipts involving other celebs, except the scolding hot tea-filled ones Daily Mail dropped during a year long investigation of her husband's alleged double life.
Wendy conveniently didn't return to the show after the new rumors of the alleged pregnancy were exposed. Here's how she addressed it today:
"I want to shout out my husband. I'm still wearing my ring."
Oh chile, not this again. After flashing that massive diamond ring and giving folks the "Bish, I'm still the wife" face, she continued:
"Believe me you, when you've been with somebody for 28 years, married for 25 years, and when we got married we waited like 4 years before the baby project. So we know each other. He's my best friend, he's my lover, he's all this and all that. I know what the streets have been saying. And I know what you been talking about. Let me show you who I fell in love with and who he fell in love with."
She pulled up a serious throwback pic of them of Wendy all natural before any plastic surgery.
"That was me 28 years ago, and through the magic of science (LOL), good eating and working out, that's not me anymore. But it's still me in the head and I'm still very much in love with my husband.
Anybody who's been married for 5 minutes or 500 years, you know marriages have ebbs and flows. Marriages aren't easy. Don't ask me about mine till you see this *points to ring* gone. And it aint going anywhere, not in this lifetime!"
She said she loves that her fans give her permission to be her and to be fearless. Hmmm.
We see fearless - especially in the face of an allegedly abusive-and-cheating-for-years man - playing out totally different sis, but we wish her luck in that marriage.
