Looks like Jesse Williams found someone to cuddle up with while attending this year's Sundance Film Festival.
The "Grey's Anatomy" star - who's currently getting a divorce from his ex-Aryn Drake-Lee - was spotted with "Hit The Floor" actress Taylour Paige on a few occasions.
Semi-matching coats? Oh.
Two actors hanging out at a film festival doesn't sound like anything out of the ordinary. However, these two aren't promoting a new movie together. And they certainly haven't been seen chillin' together prior to this.
In fact, Taylour doesn't even have a movie premiering at Sundance this year. Jesse does. He's hitting up panels and chatting it up about his new film, Selah and the Spades.
Maybe Taylour is there to show love for indie studio A24 because they are debuting several films at the festival. She's the lead star in a movie the studio is working on about that viral stripper Twitter story, called ZOLA.
Or, she's really there to hang out with Jesse and peep new films. In 2016, Taylour appeared in one episode of "Grey's Anatomy," so that could be where they initially met.
In Spring/Summer 2018, it was reported Jesse was dating sports reporter Taylor Rooks. Months later, there were rumors that they broke up and Taylor was talking to Kevin Durant. Last week, folks noticed she was busy liking the NBA baller's pics on Instagram, so it looks like she has moved on from Jesse. From Taylor to Taylour. Convenient.

International bounce legend Big Freedia is gearing up for a new documentary to raise gun violence awareness after her world was rocked when her brother was killed.
Award-winning production company World of Wonder has begun production on a feature-length documentary about gun violence in New Orleans. And it will feature Big Freedia.
Freedia Got a Gun will focus in on Big Freedia and her family following the loss her brother, Adam Ross, to gun violence last year. In 2018, 95% of fatal gunshot victims in New Orleans were black and her brother - who was 35-years-old - was one of the victims. In fact, Big Freedia herself has been shot. Over the years, more than 70 of her friends, family members and acquaintances have lost their lives to New Orleans’ culture of gun violence. And she wants to get to the bottom of it.
In the film, Freedia tries to uncover the cause of gun violence in New Orleans while exploring other topics such as race and toxic masculinity.
“I hope this film can add to some of the other voices that have stood up against the senseless violence in our country,” Big Freedia says in a statement. “As someone who has lost a loved one to gun violence, I was honored to be a part of this project.”
No word yet when it'll be released, but we'll keep you posted.

TMZ photogs caught up with the R&B singer (above, heading to the What Men Want premiere) at the airport to grill her about Gladys Knight singing the national anthem. Kellz plays the living legend in an upcoming BET series titled "American Soul," starring opposite Sinqua Walls and Kelly Price.
Being the gracious woman that she is, she said she respects Gladys' decision to perform during the Super Bowl. Had the Super Bowl called her to perform, she said, "Nope!" Would NOT happen.

There's been breaks in the case of actor Jussie Smollett's brutal attack on the cold Chicago streets. More inside...
There are reportedly more than a dozen detectives assigned to Jussie's case, and looking through hours of hours of surveillance video - which is readily available in the Near Northside/Streeterville neighborhood where Jussie told the police the horrific attack occurred.
Police revealed that in one of the videos, Jussie can be seen walking into a friend's apartment building with the noose still around his neck. He says he walked himself to the nearby Northwestern Hospital, also with the noose still around his neck. He reportedly used an alias when checking in.
After cops said yesterday there was no photo or video evidence yet of the attack, there's been a new break in the case. Chicago Police Department released a press release and shadowy images (above) of two people who they said they are looking for to bring in for questioning.
A local Chicago reporter just released a description of the non-released surveillance camera that he had access to. TMZ states:
According to local reporter, Rob Elgas, Smollett was seen on surveillance camera walking on the opposite side of the street at the two persons of interest. Elgas claims both Smollett and the unidentified people then walk off camera (on different cameras). Smollett is unaccounted for on camera for about 60 seconds. He then reappears on surveillance entering a condo building with what appears to be street salt on his sweater and the rope around his neck. Jussie arrives at a friend's place where police arrive to take a report.
We've confirmed with law enforcement sources that Smollett refused to turn his cellphone over to authorities after telling them he was on the phone with his manager during the incident.
Jussie stated in his police report that he walked to a neighborhood Subway for food around 2AM after landing back in Chicago Monday night. He says two men approached him, yelling homophobic & racial slurs. The verbal attack then became physical battery as the offenders beat him in the face, poured a chemical substance on him (reportedly bleach), and put a noose around his neck. The video does show two men walking the street during the time Jussie said:
Cops say the two people in the image were walking on New Street near the intersection with E. Illinois Street between 1:30 AM and 1:45 AM. They're about a block from the Subway restaurant Jussie had gone to Tuesday morning ... and roughly halfway between the restaurant and Jussie's home.
There's been an overwhelming outpouring of support for Jussie on social media from celebs and fans. Now, his "Empire" co-stars, particularly his on-screen mother and father - are speaking out.

Terrence Howard told "Good Morning America":
"I heard he's getting better. You know he's angry. But I know Jussie. Jussie's angry will dissipate and he will forgive these people for what they did."
"When we learned there had been letters that had been sent to Fox as threats about the potential about something like this, then we became much more frightened."
Taraji said today:
It's interesting that Fox didn't tell the entire cast about the previous death threats. They did tell Jussie himself though - the main target of the letters - and he reportedly turned down an offer of off-set security:
We're told Fox made the call to beef up security for everyone on set and wanted to give Jussie additional protection around the clock ... but, he declined. Our sources say he made the decision to not have extra security during off-hours because it was an intrusive way of living.

Y'all know if nothing else, Nick knows how to secure a bag. And doesn't hold on to hard feelings (Wendy called his son Golden a break baby when he was a guest on her show last month), like ever.

Lil Wayne is SUING his former attorney for some shady business practices he was doing behind his back. Get those deets, plus the latest on Tekashi 6ix9ine spilling tea behind bars inside...
Lil Wayne just settled his multi-million lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money. Now, he has lanuched a new multi-million suit ($20 million to be exact), except this time, he's dragging his former attorney to court. The reason? Well, there are a few.
Wayne trusted attorney Ronald Sweeney to handle his business affairs for the last 13 years, but it seems the lawyer was not working in the best interest of his client.
Sweeney was robbing Weezy right in front of his eyes, if what Wayne claims is true. Apparently, Sweeney charged the rapper DOUBLE the industry rate and - according to Wayne - racked up a cool $20 million off of him. Sweeney also got a nice payout for litigation in the Cash Money lawsuit over Tha Carter V. And now, Wayne wants his COIN.
TMZ has the deets:
Wayne is suing Ronald Sweeney -- who repped him from 2005 through Sept. 2018 -- because he says the attorney was charging some hefty fees. In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Wayne says Sweeney charged him 10 percent for every deal he helped close. The problem is ... Wayne claims Sweeney failed to inform him the industry standard is a mere 5 percent.
That up-charge cost Wayne a bundle -- he says Sweeney made $20 million during his tenure.
According to the docs, Sweeney got pretty greedy ... proposing he get an additional 10 percent of all profits from Wayne's label, Young Money -- but Wayne says that was swiftly shot down.
Still, he says Sweeney even brought in outside help. In the suit, he says Sweeney hired another law firm to aid in the litigation with Cash Money over the 'Carter V' deal.
Wayne says that firm got 23 percent of the Cash Money settlement and 15 percent of the Universal Music Group settlement. Those numbers clearly stick in Wayne's craw because he says all that was on top of Sweeney's inflated 10 percent.
Sheesh! This man made sure he got his cut AND some. Let's see if the "Uproar" rapper will come through with another victory.

Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has been sitting in federal prison since November 2018 on racketeering charges. Now, it's being reported he's snitching on his homies.
According to reports, three men who are known associates of 6ix9ine have been hit with federal indictments. It's said Tekashi has been bumping his gums behind bars and revealed who was behind the gun for the Chief Keef shooting. He apparently told law enforcement that his homie Kooda B (above) was the trigger man at the Times Square shooting last summer.
TMZ reports:
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Kintea McKenzie, Anthony Ellison and Denard Butler have all been indicted in connection with crimes related to Tekashi.
More specifically, we're told McKenzie (aka Kooda B) was indicted right after Tekashi spoke with investigators and pinned him as the trigger man at the Keef shooting last June in Times Square.
McKenzie was allegedly paid $10k to shoot Chief Keef ... according to our law enforcement sources. Remember, Tekashi and Keef had been beefing leading up to the shooting. As we first reported ... 2 men, including a known Tekashi associate, tracked down Keef in NYC and opened fire but missed.
We're told authorities have not apprehended McKenzie. Ellison is already in custody for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting Tekashi ... and Butler was busted by the ATF on Wednesday. Ellison and Butler are expected to appear in court later this afternoon.
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of NY declined to comment on Tekashi's cooperation. We've reached out to Tekashi's lawyer, so far no word back.
So who paid Kooda B? That's what law enforcement is still trying to figure out. It's rumored (unconfirmed) Tekashi was the one who ordered the hit on Chief Keef. So him pointing the finger elsewhere is, interesting.
A conversation between 6ix9ine and Chief Keef's cousin Tadoeleaked in a video that police believe was connected to the June 2018 shooting. Based on what was said in the clip, police believe that Keef's cousin Tadoe was the original target.
"I got a 30 pack on him, right now, Blood," 6ix9ine brags in the clip. "30 pack. Swear to God I got a 30 pack. Thirty-thou cash, right now."
A month later, Chief Keef, Tadoe and crew were shot at outside the W Hotel in NYC.

Meghan Markle is still bumping along to attend official royal events before she and her hubby Prince Harry welcome their little bundle of joy in a few months. Word on the curb is that Baby Sussex will make his/her arrival end of April/early May.
In the meantime, the mom-to-be is busy doing her royal duties after she was announced as patron to four British charities earlier this month.
Today, the Duchess of Sussex wrapped up her tour of all four of her new charities, paying a visit to the Association of Commonwealth Universities. It was her first official visit as patron. She talked with students from the Commonwealth who are now studying in the U.K. and for whom access to university has transformed their lives.
Pulling up in a black Givenchy coat (previously worn during Remembrance Day) over a black pleated dress, Meghan showed up with an unexpected hairstyle. She debuted her first top knot - something different from her usual messy low bun or wearing it down. Her new 'do showed off her Dean Davidson's signature "midi knockout" studs. It was a simple look for the Duchess, but she looked incredible.

The 37-year-old former "Suits" star made her first official visit to the National Theatre as patron. And we're obsessed with this look. The blush Brandon Maxwell dress and jacket along with her signature Aquazzura Matilde pumps were PEFECTION. Meghan received the charity from Queen Elizabeth herself after she served 45 years as the theater’s royal patron.
During her visit, she had the oppotunity to find out "more about the National Theatre’s work with arts and community organisations across the UK using theatre as a force for change.” We're sure Meghan is thrilled to be connected with the charity since the arts hold a special place in her heart. If you didn't know, Meghan has a degree in theater and international relations from Northwestern University.
As the Duchess made her rounds, she was intorduced to aspiring actors, technicians, and apprentices.
The former Hollywood actress accepted patronages that reflect her interests, including support for women, animal welfare, arts, and access to education. She has accepted honorary roles with Smart Works (a charity that helps women get back in the workforce), Mayhew(animal welfare organization), the National Theatre (arts), and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (education).
Now that she has completed her tour, the Duke and Duchess will make their way to Bristol on Friday, Feb. 1st. "Married To Medicine" is coming to Los Angeles. Meet the cast inside...
If you're "Married To Medicine" fans (like us), then get excited. A new group of doctors and spouses of LA doctors will be turning up the drama in the City of Angels. Or, as one of the ladies calls it, the city of Smoke 'N Mirrors. No lie told.
Dr. Imani Walker (who is good friends with Dr. Contessa from Atlanta's M2M and appeared on a few episodes last season), Dr. Noelle Reid, Asha Kamali-Blankinship, Shanique Drummond, Dr. Britten Cole, and friend Jazmin Johnson round out the new group of ladies who will be starring on the new "Married To Medicine" franchise. And based on the first look, they'll going to bring the shade like the best of them. Viewers will watch the ladies deal with balancing work and family, keeping their friendships afloat, and recovering from hidden secrets. Oop.

Dr. Imani Walker, a psychiatrist, deals with patients who suffer from mental issues, homelessness, schizophrenia and chronic depression. Bravo says Imani is normally stoic and controlled, but when something strikes a nerve, she is quick to snap back.
Dr. Noelle Reid owns Trinity Health and Wellness Center in Beverly Glen. There, she believes in an East meets West approach to medicine. As a family doctor, she does everything from pap smears and prostate exams to physicals and treating STDs. Dr. Noelle also has a studio where she teaches yoga and meditation multiple times a week. She completed her family picture when she met husband Erin Vines several years ago.
Asha Kamali-Blankinship is an actress married to Dr. Larry Blankinship, a physiatrist who specializes in patients with pinched nerves in their neck or back. While she is a doctor's wife, she also prides herself on being a multi-hyphenate actress, producer and writer.
Shanique Drummond is a real estate property manager married to Dr. Robert Drummond, an urgent care physician in Los Angeles.
Born and raised in Inglewood, Jazmin Johnson is a full-time mother and wife who is married to a psychiatrist, and in addition to being a full-time mom, Jazmin loves pursuing her hobby of photography and comes to the group by way of Shanique.

One thing's for sure, if you didn't watch "Celebrity Big Brother" before, you're likely watching now. Or, you're at least watching the live feeds & clips because that's where the REAL entertainment is.
Tamar Braxton has been making headlines left and right since entering the "Big Brother" house with her housemates. She has gotten in several spats with the other houseguests, including Kandi Burruss, Lolo Jones, Ricky Williams and most recently, Kato Kaelin.
When she's not fussing and fighting, the "Love & War" singer has been opening up about her personal life. And the tea spillage is interesting to say the least.
During a conversation with new BFF Kandi about parenting, Tamar revealed she lets her 5-year-old son Logan Herbert, whom she shares with her estranged husband Vince Herbert, sleep in the bed with her and her boyfriend, whom she affectionately calls "T'Challa." Oh?
The conversation came up as the ladies were talking about how they got their installed structure in their kids and got them to sleep in their own beds.
"See, Logan's 5. He be in the bed with me and T'Challa. Sleep!," the "Braxton Family Values" star shared.
Your husband don't be mad about him sleeping in the bed with another man?," the "RHOA" star asked Tamar.
"We're not together! That’s not really his business,” Tamar said.
Then, she goes on to try and convince Kandi that if the tables were turned, she wouldn't be mad about it. Girl...
“And if [Logan] did that with somebody that [Vince] looked like he was getting ready to get married to, why would I act a fool? I would want him to be close to her.”
We find this VERY hard to believe, but mmk.
Kandi then asked her how long has she and "T'Challa" been dating and Tamar revealed it has been six months.

The R&B songbird opened up again about her Nigerian lover. During a conversation with Lolo - who is biracial - about dating outside of her race, Tamar revealed that she was over black men after calling it quits with Vince. "T'Challa", though, swooped in and stole her heart. The kicker? "T'Challa" apparently wasn't even checking for black women before he got with Tamar.

Tamar never got the chance to date on the "other side" because she ended up meeting T'Challa. And it seems Tamar herself has a type. You may recall, Tamar previously said Vince's preference before they got together were women with blonde hair.
“I met T’Challa and now it’s a wrap again. But he didn’t date black women, which is crazy,” she said. “He did not date black women. It’s like, I’m attracted to men who don’t like black women. Vince neither, remember that? Vince either.”

Speaking of black models...
Hottie Broderick Hunter is speaking out about diversity in fashion. And while the industry has made a few strides towards inclusion, Broderick claims it's basically still white AF.
In a profile for Teen VOGUE, the "Insecure" co-star/model explained how he experienced racism soon as he got into the model game. He said he was flown out to Italy after booking his first major fashion show, only to be replaced by a "white boy."
"The thing about it is that I stepped into the industry on a whim," he said while talking about how he got into modeling. "My basketball career was in a spiral. I was coming off of an injury. I was using whatever I had left in me to play basketball just to get into college. I knew I had to have education. My mom and dad weren’t going to let me go about life without going to college. So, when modeling happened it was a way out, and an opportunity to start something new. My “OK, this is something I can do” moment happened when I was in Italy for the first time. I had booked [a major fashion show]. And I was like “Oh, sh*t, this is my first big deal.” But then six hours before the show, I got released and they replaced me with a white boy. They put my look on someone else."
Back then, the then 19-year-old didn't blast the fashion brand because he didn't want to seem like he was ungrateful for the opportunity that was presented to him. After the experience, he took things into his own hands.
"At the age of 19, if I was to blast on social media, saying 'Hey, yo, f*ck [this fashion brand], they replaced me with a white guy,' I probably wouldn’t be here, because I didn’t have the backing behind me to continue my career. I didn’t want to be regarded as the black kid who wasn’t grateful enough for an opportunity and didn’t want to be a good sport about it. The only thing I had to do was just be silent, unfortunately. But that silence fueled me into my next step, which was crashing the DSquared casting. I was like 'Sh*t man, I got to do something,' and there were still castings going on. DSquared didn’t even request me. I just crashed the casting, got put on option, then got released, then got called back, and then I got the show and the show led to the Ciara video [for “Sorry.”] But that’s a whole different story.
Don't try that ish now though.
"Now I’ve gotten to a point in my career where I can call it out and people will respect that," he explained. "But that was one of the things I had to do to get to the point where I could be an advocate for talking about certain issues like that. Because I’m sure it’s still happening. No one knew it was happening to me, but if I say it now, other black male models will say 'That happened to me,' 'That happened to me yesterday.'
Broderick feels like the fashion industry is making advancements towards diversity, but he doesn't feel like it has changed as much as it's being portrayed.
"I mean, kudos, it’s great. I think we’re making advancements. Because back when I was walking, you only had one black person in a runway show. I used to talk to my friend Cory Baptiste who was killing all the runway shows, and every time I would see a major runway show, like a Dolce & Gabbana or a Dior, it would be him or one other black person. But I’d have to look for it: OK, five just went, we’re on the sixth one, seven, eight; oh, there he is, OK, cool, then white boy, white boy, white boy. It would get to the point where some things happen so much that you start to believe that this is just how it is. I’ve started to see more representation, though. We have all-black runway shows and we have more designers of color, thanks largely to social media. But I don’t necessarily feel like for the major brands there’s enough representation. People are saying 'fashion has changed,' but no, it hasn’t."
We have Virgil; we have Edward. It took this amount of time. Look how much time it took to see this amount of black kids on the runway. It’s a gradual move forward. It’s still two people. You can’t expect two people to unravel and undo over 40 years of [systematic racism in] a profitable industry. I think Virgil is doing an amazing job. I hope he’s around for a long time. And I hope Edward continues to make pushes and advances. But to this day, they might have the power, but they don’t have all the pull. We need more prominent black people in leadership positions within fashion.

Cory Booker has officially entered the 2020 race for President, just as many expected. The Democratic Senator from New Jersey - who still lives in the same low income neighborhood he's lived in since he was Mayor of Newark over a decade ago - made his powerful announcement this AM.
It's no coincidence (NOTHING is coincidence with any political candidate, btw) he announced on the first day of Black History Month. His announcement started off telling the story of his family (consisting of two biracial parents) being discriminated against, because of their skin color, when trying to purchase their first home. He spoke about the politicians in the community coming together to make it right.

As for race in America, he's not backing down like many do about telling the hard truths. On having the patience to navigate a VERY partisan country, he told co-host Whoopi Goldberg he had to work with a Republican Governor (Chris Christie) on shifting focus from gentrification to investing more in affordable housing.
"This can't be about avoiding the hard conversation. It can't be about telling the truth of race in America. In fact, I can't stand when people try to white wash our history, or try to Santa Clausify people like Martn Luther King who was against the Vietnam War and for economic justice. We need to have the hard conversations and telling the truth is the beginning of reconciliation."
He's also made a few strategic moves already. He talked up his family in Iowa (a major state any candidate needs to win in primaries and the general election) and his campaign manager is Addisu Demissie, a black male from California, and the Senator's pretty fluent in Spanish. He called into Univision to chat this morning.

There's talk that comedians Mo'Nique and Steve Harvey went AT IT during a recent taping of his talk show. And it wasn't a comedy segment. Get those deets, plus see how Mo squashed her "beef" with "The Real" co-host Adrienne Bailon inside...
2019 has already kicked off with epic drama and there's no sign of it slowing down.
Oscar winning actress Mo'Nique is currently making press runs to promote her upcoming Las Vegas residency. But things took a turn for the worse when she appeared for a taping of Steve Harvey's talk show, "STEVE."
Production sources tell TheJasmineBrand.com that Mo and Steve got into a heated discussion after he encouraged her to apologize to EGOT Whoppi Goldberg for previous comments she made.
Here's a little back story...
Last year, Mo appeared on "The View" and got into a tense discussion with co-host Whoopi Goldberg. Whoopi said she would have "schooled" Mo on how she should have hit the promo trail to promote the award winning 2009 film, PRECIOUS. Whoopi then defended her comment, saying, "regardless of who you signed the deal with, your job is to go and promote said movie."
"And we’ve had this conversation and I said if you had called me, I could have schooled you on what was expected," Whoopi https://www.entertainmentdaily.co.uk/news/whoopi-goldberg-clashes-with-m... ">continued. Mo still defended her decision not to promote the movie on the show and again in an interview with VULTURE magazine last month.
“When I look at this woman you say is our icon and our legend — she is. But, how many things has Whoopi Goldberg executive produced?” Mo’Nique said. “Whoopi Goldberg has always been the help, and I say that humbly. So what is it that you’re going to school me on? I’ve been doing it for almost 30 years.”
Oop.
Well, Steve wanted Mo to apologize for her controversial comments about Whoopi, along with what she has said in the past about Oprah and Tyler Perry. Nope. Mo wasn't having it. It's reported things got SO heated between the comedians, Mo threatened to SLAP Steve.
“Steve said she needs to apologize," the source spilled. “She threatened to hit Steve in the face. He told her if she hit him, her husband [Sidney Hicks] would have to come out and square off.”
Bihhhh....whet?! It could have been said jokingly between two comedians - we guess we won't really know until the cameras roll.
Yes the cameras were rolling, but it's unclear if the full discussion will be aired, but her episode is expected to air soon. We hear it Mo's episode will air this Wednesday. The ratings for "STEVE" (which will be replaced by "The Kelly Clarkson Show" on NBC this fall) are going to be through the roof.
After turning up on "STEVE," Mo kept it cool on "The Real."
Previously, "The Real" co-host Adrienne Bailon made a comment about "loud people" that Mo took to heart.
During the episode, the ladies were discussing Mo cursing out Oprah, Tyler Perry and Lee Daniels during a stand up routine at the Apollo Theater. Remember, she told them all to "suck my d*ck" if she had one. Watch the clip HERE.
Adrienne chimed in with her opinion, saying just because someone is "loud or boisterous" doesn't mean "you're keeping it real."
"I have an issue with people thinking that every time someone is loud or boisterous or saying something negative that, that's them giving it real," Bailon said. "Why does it always have to be that just because you all over the place and being loud and making noise that, that's the truth and that's real? Why can't keeping it real be classy?"
After the show aired, Mo hopped on Twitter to respond, saying she wanted to have a face-to-face with the "BABY" [Adrienne]:

There's been internet chatter questioning the validity of the story around Jussie Smollet's horrific homophobic and racist attack in Chicago. Not only has his family spoken up, but Jussie himself has broken his silence. The latest updates inside.
Just days after details surrounding his attack near his apartment in Chicagowere reported by police, Jussie Smollett is going on the offensive.
Apparently, some of the facts released by the Chicago police themselves wasn't necessarily true, this according to The Smolletts.
While police authorities said Jussie refused to turn over his phone and phone records to prove he was on the phone with the only (audio) witness of the attack so far, his manager, that's not the case.
Jussie Smollett did not refuse to hand over phone records to cops ... rather, he didn't want to turn over his phone ... sources directly connected to Jussie tell TMZ.
The sources say cops "informally asked" Jussie if he would surrender his phone ... to verify he was talking to his manager on his cell when he was attacked. We're told he felt "uncomfortable" doing that and declined, but he was never asked about phone records. A Chicago police official had said Jussie refused to turn over both the phone and records. We're told Smollett has already said he will provide the records, and is in the process of gathering them.
Police reported that Jussie told them his two attackers - who approached him while he went to a nearby Subway around 2am for a late night bite - yelled out MAGA Country, but he never told them they were wearing MAGA hats, despite this also being reported.
Sources also said he left the noose in tact around his neck to keep evidence in tact until police arrived at the apartment. He removed it before going to the hospital.
This morning, Jussie himself issued a statement thanking everyone for their support. And he also reiterated that while some misinformation has been shared, it wasn't of his doing. His story hasn't changed, and he has been "100% factual and consistent on every level."
“Let me start by saying that I’m OK,” Smollett began in his statement to ESSENCE. “My body is strong but my soul is stronger. More importantly I want to say thank you. The outpouring of love and support from my village has meant more than I will ever be able to truly put into words. ”
In his statement, Smollett also addressed the misinformation that has been circulating about the incident, and dispelling rumors on social media that his story changed.
Smollett said, “I am working with authorities and have been 100% factual and consistent on every level. Despite my frustrations and deep concern with certain inaccuracies and misrepresentations that have been spread, I still believe that justice will be served. ”
“As my family stated, these types of cowardly attacks are happening to my sisters, brothers and non-gender conforming siblings daily. I am not and should not be looked upon as an isolated incident. We will talk soon and I will address all details of this horrific incident, but I need a moment to process,” he concluded. “Most importantly, during times of trauma, grief and pain, there is still a responsibility to lead with love. It’s all I know. And that can’t be kicked out of me.”
Smollett signed his statement by writing, “With Love, respect & honor…Jussie.”
Jussie's family, including his actress sister Jurnee Smollett Bell, have been swift in their response as well:
We truly wish Jussie the best in a speedy emotional, mental and physical recovery during this trying time. We do know he will be getting back in the swing of things tomorrow.
He arrived yesterday in L.A. ahead of his scheduled performance on Saturday at concert venue the Troubadour.

Welcome to Atlanta! Listen, this weekend in Atlanta is going to be TOO lit with the pre-Super Bowl festivities.
Before the biggest game of the year kicks off on Sunday, Atlanta's finest came out to rock the stage at the 2019 EA Sports Bowl held at State Farm Arena last night.
Crunk 'N B Princess Ciara pulled up on the carpet in a sexy LBD that showed off her killer legs. Chick's bod looked amazing. And her hubby/Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson was right by her side. Since the Seattle Seahawks aren't playing in this year's big game, he can relax and watch the football madness in a luxury box with his wife, and his kids - daughter Sienna Wilson and step-son Future Wilburn - if they decide to bring them along.
After working the carpet, CiCi hit the stage with her ATL homie Ludacris, who was tapped to close the show. See the Wilsons work the carpet and clips from Ciara's performance - where she performed "Goodies," "1,2 Step," "Level Up" and "Ride" - below:
Luda had tons of surprises for an epic show where he shared the stage with ATL's biggest Hip Hop stars.
As the clock struck midnight, Luda kicked off his set with the perfect track, "Welcome To Atlanta," where he brought Jermaine Dupri out for the turn up. He ran through a few of his classic hits, including "Stand Up," "Money Maker," "How Low," and then he brought Lil Jon out to perform "Yeah."
Jeezy came out to perform a special tribute to late ATL rapper Shawty Lo where the crowd got hype as he performed "Dey Know." Luda then ushered T.I. out to perform "Bring Em Out," which resulted in the first time Luda, Tip and Jeezy hit the stage together. ATL stand up!
On Instagram, Tip posted a picture of the trio with the caption, "Be Clear.... these faces along with a host of others (that look like US) laid the foundation for the infrastructure/artistic ecosystem you now know as Atlanta. THIS OUR SH*T & WE RUN THIS CITY!!!! Don’t get it FU*K’d UP!!! We’ll adjust the temperature to make it as HOT or COLD as we see fit. If we ain’t wit it... it ain’t SH*T!!!! Sincerely - King"
It was a homecoming for Atlanta's hip-hop legends and current superstars. The New School of rap stars also had the crowd on 1,000:
Migos, 21 Savage,Lil Baby, and Lil Yachty also hit the stage to perform.
The Migos brought out ATL rap legend Gucci Mane.

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was on the scene.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers DeSean Jackson (who recently revealed he would like to play for the LA Rams) linked up with radio personality Big Tigger and "Power" star Omari Hardwick.
NFL legend Emmitt Smith, model/new-mom Chanel Iman and her hubby/New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard came out for the pre-Super Bowl festivities.
TV personality/actor Terrence J and Power 105's "The Breakfast Club" radio personality Angela Yee were all smiles on the carpet.
And "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Marlo Hampton made sure to make a fashion statement in Gucci.
The Los Angeles Ram will go head-to-head against the New England Patriots for Super Bowl LIII on Sunday. Who y'all got?

Emotions erupted when Killer Mike and DJ Envy debated over how black people should educate their children. And the conversation was something we all needed to hear. More inside...
Rapper/activist Killer Mike caused quite a stir on Power 105's "The Breakfast Club" with his forward thinking. The Hip Hop artist stopped by the studio to promote his new Netflix series, "Trigger Warning," where he explores issues in America that affect the black community, including drugs, gangs, religion, and poverty.
A heated discussion erupted, which Envy dubbed an "intellectual sparring, when Killer Mike and DJ Envy shared their unique views on public vs. private school education for young, black children.
The social advocate/Grammy winner argued that black children should be surrounded by other black children and teachers in school up until a certain age.
"I was talking about us sending our children to suburban schools," he began. "What I like to tell black people is, honestly in my heart of hearts, I feel like in places that are hostile to black people, you should not send your children to school with white children until they are 13 years old. If you look at other ethnic communities they keep the child isolated until they are about 13/14 then they have a ceremony and send them off."
Killer Mike said he went to all-black schools as a kid and that helped build his self-esteem, self-respect, and self-identity as a young, black man. He said he had black people around him that built him up, so by the time he met a white person, they couldn't tell him anything bad about being black.
"I don't care if I was a C student, I had a sense of pride that most black children didn't have because they were not in a circle of pride," Mike shared. "The community was black. My teachers were black. So, by the time I met white children, I was an equal. I was already prepared and what I wasn't was unconfident."
Envy then chimed in with his perspective, which was totally opposite of Killer Mike's. He argued private education afforded him opportunities that other kids just didn't get. He said his education gave him opportunities to care for his children that he wouldn't have had if he attended public schools.
"I have my daughter in a private school who goes one of the top private schools in New Jersey. Her education is like none other. My son is a little different because he goes to private school, but he's also in the 'hood doing other things, he's playing football and basketball in Newark, so he gets that. But that education that he gets in those schools are unlike anything I've ever got in my life. Which gives him that advantage that most kids don't get."
"Well, first, I said 'if you are in an area where your children are being treated hostile," Killer Mike responded. "You a rich n*gga. You got white folk's money, so you're not going to endure the same hostilities that a working class black parent is," Mike stated.
"No, my kids have been called n*ggas. It's been hostile," Envy responded.
"Being called n***a when your dad got a Ferrari just don't hurt as much," Mike popped back cleverly.
Both Killer Mike and Envy got amped up as they argued their points and it was interesting, exciting, and insightful conversation.

Bow Wow was arrested in Atlanta last night for battery on a woman, and the woman was arrested too. Details on who she might be and what went down inside.
[UPDATE 2] Confirmed: Leslie Holden is Kiyomi Leslie. Kiyomi’s mugshot has been released in the battery case with boyfriend #BowWow. Cops said both were arrested because visible injuries were seen on both.
[UPDATE] Bow Wow was booked at the Fulton County Police Station and charged for Battery Substantial Physical Harm. His bond is set at $8,000. Leslie Holden was also charged with Battery, but no bail set. Bow's mugshot (above) shows multiple cuts and scratches on his face. Click thumbnails below:

Around 4:15AM this morning, cops were called to rapper's Bow Wow's location in Atlanta after some sort of dispute between him and a woman, according to TMZ. When cops arrived, they saw minor injuries on both Bow Wow and the woman. The both accused each other of battering the other. So cops arrested them both.
The woman has been identified as Leslie Holden.
While the site states they couldn't find what the connection is between the two, it may be because Leslie Holden could be a government name.
Bow Wow's on-again, off-again girlfriend, "Wild N' Out" personality & IG model Kiyomi Leslie, is also in Atlanta this weekend and was at the same pre-Bowl pop-up shop as Bow two days ago. Bow & Kiyomi were on-again as recently as December 2018.
While we haven't yet confirmed whether or not Kiyomi is KL's government name, it's not unusual for industry models to use industry pseudonyms.
We can't yet confirm or deny if the woman is Kiyomi Leslie. We do find it quite interesting that Leslie is part of Kiyomi's name, and she is currently in Atlanta and at the same event as Bow Wow.
Earlier in the night, Bow was at Shaquille O'Neal's SB event called Shaq's Fun House.
