Michelle Williams and her fiance Chad Johnson are taking their love to television!

The former Destiny's Child singer and the sports chaplin will let fans follow them on their way up the alter on their brand new reality sereies, "Chad Loves Michelle," set to premiere on the OWN Network in just a few months.

The couple - who met at a spiritual retreat in Arizona and got engaged in March after a year of dating - is super religious. They decided they are going to wait until they're officially married before they consummate their relationship/marriage.

“Having been together for a year and never in the same city for more than seven days, the newly engaged couple is turning to intensive pre-marital counseling to help prepare them for life together as husband and wife,” the press release reads. “Both are relocating to Los Angeles from different cities in the months leading up to their wedding, but not to the same bedroom.”

News of their new show comes on the heels of Michelle voluntarily admitting herself into a rehab facility after revealing her battle with mental health issues. Michelle and Chad will put their lives on full display as viewers will get to see the couple tackle everyday issues.

"Chad Loves Michelle" is set to premiere Saturday, November 3rd at 9pm EST.

Also coming to OWN: Will Packer's dating series "Ready to Love," hosted by comedian/radio host Thomas "Newphew Tommy" Miles, is two-night premiere on OWN Tuesday, October 23rd at 10:30pm EST and Saturday, October 27th at 10pm EST, and will air Saturdays at 10pm EST for the remainder of its series run.

"Greenleaf" is killing TV ratings, so it comes as no surprise the show has been renewed for a FOURTH season!

The announcement comes right after the megachurch-drama reached a season high. The show's September 12th episode brought in 2.3 million viewers. Wow!  It was the #1 telecast of the night for African American viewers across all of broadcast and cable.

Are y'all ready to see what Grace Greenleaf, Lady Mae Greenleaf and Bishop Greenleaf will get into on the next season? We sure are.

Also coming to television...

The Mackies are having a baby! And they'll be bringing their fans with them along the way as they gear up to welcome their first bundle of joy TOGETHER. Rem has a teenage son from a previous relationship and Pap is the father of three children.

Remy Ma and Papoose are bringing Black Love to their three-part VH1 special titled, "Meet The Mackies" where they'll share their pregnancy journey up until they welcome their little bundle of joy. You'll recall, Rem made a surprise announcement that they were expecting during their wedding vow renewal back in July.

"I’ve been eating right, working out, and preparing for this for almost a year. We are so happy; thank you to everyone that prayed for us and sent blessings our way," she wrote in an Instagram caption, revealing the baby news.

It has been a long road to get pregnant for the couple. In early 2017, Remy and Papoose revealed they suffered a miscarriage on "Love & Hip Hop." After learning more about her fertility issues, the couple decided to try IVF to get pregnant, and it worked! She's about 6 months along now.

The couple is keeping the sex of the baby a surprise until he/she is born. She responded to a fan in the comments section of her Instagram account about the sex of the baby:

Tracee Ellis Ross hasn't given up on spitting lyrics of rap songs from mumble rappers and everybody else. She still doesn't understand that ish they're talking about, but neither do we. So she's still on her T-Murda ish these days.

The "black-ish" star and 2018 Emmy nominee recently chatted up Chris Spencer on ASPIRE ICONS about everything from overcoming her challenges with self-esteem to her T-Murda alter ego. She even gives a shout out to us here at YBF for naming the persona. Ha! Gotta love her. Check it out above.

As perfect as the gorgeous red carpet slayer (and every day slayer, TBH) is in our eyes, even she has self-esteem struggles. So what hope do the rest of us have?! Tracee gets it though, and proves that you never, truly just "get over" those issues, no matter how perfect your life appears to others.

“Insecurity and self-doubt is a part of daily life and I’m a human being that has a vulnerable soul, and I do risky things in my career so that crops up all the time,” says Ross. “I think loving yourself is a daily activity that requires compassion and kindness, and it’s something I’ve learned how to do.”

Instead of becoming reclusive and introverted when experiencing shameful times, Tracee seeks counsel from those closest to her for the love, support and affirmation that she finds challenging to provide herself.

“Those are moments when I lean into other people - into my friends, those that can love me when I can’t love myself,” says Ross. “When I’m experiencing shame I share that with other people and they can hold space and sort of mirror back the larger truth of the experience than just what you’re seeing and feeling.”

Tracee recognizes moments of solitude to be a vulnerable and susceptible state for doubt and darkness to creep into your mind. We can DEF relate!

“When you are left with the self that you are, sometimes there are things that make you feel like you’re less than or not enough,” Ross declares. “And when left in the privacy of our own minds and between the ears, it can be a dangerous neighborhood in there.”

Suge Knight cops a plea to avoid a murder trial and now, he'll be spending the next 28 years in prison. Get the deets, plus get the latest on the father of NBA veteran Richard Jefferson getting gunned down in Compton inside...

Suge Knight has finally learned his fate. He'll be in prison for the next 28 years.

The Death Row Records exec pled no contest to voluntary manslaughter in the killing of Terry Carter. The judge sentenced him to 28 years in prison where he will get credit for time served. Suge has been behind bars for 3.5 years. After completing his sentence, he'll be placed on parole for 3 years.

The rap mogul entered the plea to avoid a murder trial that was set to begin next week. He was facing the possibility of life in prison. With time served, along with prison overcrowding, Suge could possibly get out in just over 10 years.

TMZ reports:

Suge's sentence is stiffer than a typical voluntarily manslaughter because he had a prior felony conviction in 1997. He also got an extra 5 years because the Carter killing was deemed a "serious and violent" felony. He got an additional year due to his truck being a deadly weapon.

Knight cracked a joke ... of sorts. Part of the judge's instructions to the defendant includes a phrase about the possibility of deportation following conviction, to which Suge said, "So, ICE can come and get me." There was a smattering of laughter.

Umm...OK.

Suge's son, Suge Jacob Knight feels like his father is being treated unfairly. He said he's majorly concerned with his dad's health, but since his dad is a fighter, he's trying to stay positive. He said his father doesn't deserve the treatment he's receiving in prison due to his health issues.

"It's time to give him break because it's unfair. It's unfair," Suge's son said.

You'll recall, the 53-year-old ran over Terry with his truck back in January 2015. Surveilance video captured Suge put his truck in reverse, hit one man (r Cle "Bone" Sloan), and then rolled over Terry, who died.

In unforunate news...

This has to be the worst!

The father for former Cleveland Cavaliers baller Richard Jefferson was killed during a drive-by in Compton, California on Wednesday (September 19th). It's reported, 65-year-old Richard Jefferson Sr. was standing outside of a liquor store in Compton when a car pulled up, opened fire, and then sped off. He was pronounced dead at an area hospital later that night.

It's unclear what the motive of the shooting is at this time, according to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department. Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting.

ESPN reports:

Richard Jefferson played 17 seasons in the NBA, winning a championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016 as a key role player off the bench. The 37-year-old forward is currently a free agent after averaging 8.2 minutes per game in 20 appearances with the Denver Nuggets last season and has started to pursue a post-playing career in broadcast journalism, appearing on ESPN and other networks.

Jefferson's parents split when he was young, and the basketball star grew up in Glendale, Arizona, with his mother. His father lived in California.

Jefferson and his father grew closer in recent years, sources told ESPN, with Jefferson, his wife and two children spending their summers in Los Angeles' South Bay, not far from Jefferson Sr.'s home in Inglewood.

So sad. We send our condolences to the Jefferson Family.

Nappily Ever After stars Ernie Hudson and Lynn Whitfield were spotted sharing a laugh during the shindig.

The modern day woman film  is an adaptation of the best-selling novel with the same name, written by Trisha R. Thomas.

“The film follows a woman with a seemingly flawless life — a great job, a handsome boyfriend who’s a doctor, and a meticulously maintained coiffure. But after an accident at the hair salon, each of these things starts to unravel, and Violet begins to realize that she was living the life she thought she was supposed to live, not the one that she really wanted.”

Sanaa, above looking flawlessly fierce in a green JOVANI dress, didn't cut any corners for the role, shaving her head completely bald for one riveting scene in the film.

Not only is Sanaa starring in the film, but she’s also producing it. Director Haifaa Al-Mansour (Wadjda) directed the film with. Marc Platt, Tracey Bing, and Jared Leboff produced alongside the YBF actress.

Gabrielle Union, who starred in Love & Basketball with Sanaa, came out to celebrate with her longtime friend. Gabby was all about some shoulder action in an ELIE SAAB off-the-shoulder gown. Her hair and makeup are on point!

Kevin Hart is frustrated and he has time NOT to be humble today.

The Night School actor and his co-star Tiffany Haddish stopped by Power 105's "The Breakfast Club" to chop it up about their comedy film thats set to hit theaters next Friday, September 28th.

When Kev said, "I have time to NOT be humble today," we knew ish was going to get real.

After Katt Williams bashed Tiffany during an interview last week (saying she doesn't deserve the success she has received), Kev had to get some things off his chest. And that's exactly what he did, straight talk, no chaser. Kevin went LETHAL on Katt and called him out on his ish!

"My frustration with Katt Williams comes from.... You keep pointing at, 'Hollywood, Hollywood, this, the white man, this, this, and this.' When do you take responsibility for your actions?" Kevin asked.

"You had the shot. You were the guy. You were set up to be the star. You didn't show up to work, you f*cked off promo shoots, you fucked off the promo fucking trips that they had set up for you. You became a risk to the studios, which is why the studios stopped f*cking with you."

Why was he a risk? "He chose drugs. Take responsibility for what you chose," Kevin responded. Spill that tea.

The Ride Along actor asked if Katt Williams ever used his platform to bring the comedians that are under him up (i.e. Leslie Jones, Luenell). He answered: Nope! And since he hasn't, he said Katt needs to stop sh*tting on those that are succeeding. He said he brought his people up and that makes him a "f*ckin' boss."

"So take responsibility for what YOU did. You f*cked you. No one else did," he said.

"Don't shit on my sister's light because you're not happy with your sh*t," he continued. "This sh*t is earned, it's not given. I don't give a fuck if you're a Tiffany Haddish fan or not. It's earned. Tiffany Haddish got years in the game. It's not an accident that Tiffany Haddish got an opportunity to star in a movie. It's not an accident that that character popped in a movie, written or not written. A character has to pop it."

During the EMMY Awards, Tiffany and Kat came face-to-face backstage and snapped pics. Tiff revealed he apologized to her about the interview. She said she didn't get mad because he didn't even have his facts straight.

"I still am a fan of his. I think he's hilarious," TIffany said.

When Tiff was asked what he said during his apology, Kev chimed in.

"It doesn't matter what he said. It doesn't matter what the apology was. It's not about the apology. Katt Williams is an amazing, talented comedian, which is why I'm so frustrated. I sit from afar and admire the man's talent. I don't like that he said anything negative towards a woman of color that's getting her shot," Kevin said.

He said he has forever been "the humble guy," but he has time to fact check everything Katt has said about his body of work. Katt said he sold 2.4 million tickets on his last comedy tour.

"That's more than Beyonce and Justin Timberlake combined. Do you understand how many tickets 2.4 million tickets are?"

 

Kevin gave props to those who came before him and then ran down his creditals, confirming his worldwide tour is on par with the likes of Bruno Mars, Jay Z and Beyonce.

"To throw out numbers like 2.4 million is ridiculous. That's false. It's not even close. Also to say 15 consecutive 100-city tours, FALSE. There's a Forbes list every year that comes out. Go back to 2007, 2006 and Katt Williams has never been on it."

He said he's speaking up because of what was said about innocent people who are working hard on their craft.

Kev also said Netflix specials aren't given to comedians by what they sell on the road. It's not about tickets, it's about your brand and your return. (Interesting.) He also revealed he kept his $40 million Netflix deal underwraps just because. Wow!

The Jumanji star said the only negativity he has received is from Katt Williams and Mike Epps.

"Those are two people who f*cked themselves over," he said.

Speaking of the crabs in a barrel mentality, Kevin also touched on how black people will complain about how we aren't receiving the same opportunites as white entertainers, yet, when someone of color starts getting opportunities, black people like to tear them down.

"I want to ask black people what we want," he said. " When the people of color get these opportunities, why are the people of color the ones tearing the people who are getting these opportunities down?"

What was said?

It didn't take Nick Cannon long to offer up a response to Kanye West's four-video Instagram rant where he went off on Nick, Drake, and model Tyson Beckford for speaking on his wife Kim Kardashian West.

Yeezy hopped on Instagram recently to issue a warning to the "Wild 'N Out" honcho to keep Kim's name out his mouth, especially when referencing her extracurricular activities, because it wasn't sitting right with his spirit.

Well, Nick isn't one to be pushed around by the Chi-town rapper. He started off welcoming the PABLO rapper back from the "sunken place," since 'Ye confirmed he was no longer lost. Then he proceeded to explain that he never said anything disrespectful towards his wife.

“First off, let me say welcome back ‘Ye from the sunken place,” Nick said in a video posted to his Instagram page. “It’s a beautiful thing. Glad you back with us brother. Nothing but love and respect for you. You know I’ve always had that. But I honestly gotta say this my dude. I’ve never said anything disrespectful or harmful to your — in my opinion — to your marriage or your union. I salute it. Keep it going."

After stroking Kanye's ego, he then proceeded to tell him that he's going to say whatever he wants, when he wants, and there's nothing he can do about it.

“But you not going to tell me what I can or can’t say. I’m a solid individual. Somebody ask me a question, I’m going to answer it to the best of my ability. I’m gonna give my opinion. Ain’t no harm, no foul. I know if it got your spirit feelin’ weird, holler at me. You know where I’m at. A man’s spirit is free but pride binds it at time. If you gotta let it loose, let it loose.”

I did Stand Up last night... FIRST TIME EVER! I opened for Dave Chappelle. I AM HOOKED.

Will Smith just crossed off something new on his bucket list! The actor/rapper performed his first stand-up comedy routine, opening up for EMMY winning comedian Dave Chappelle during his star-studded show at the Peppermint Club in LA. And he had his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, daughter Willow Smith, and mother-in-law Adrienne Banfield-Jones in the audience cheering him on.

During his routine, he shared with the audience that his 50th birthday was coming up and he has always wanted to do stand-up. He had cameras rolling as he was filming the his routine for a show called "The Bucket List."

The "Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air" alum cracked jokes about losing control of his house as his wife's "Red Table Talk" Facebook show has turned the garage into a control booth. He even cracked a joke about his ex-wife Sheree Fletcher being booked for the first episode.

Will also joked about his son Jaden Smith creating a song titled "Icon" and not letting him rap on the track

“He looked at me like I was the second-best rapper in the house!," he said. Ha!

"Boo'd Up" topped Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart for 14 weeks, becoming the longest running number one by a woman this decade. Woot! The track is currently 3X platinum and her new single “Trip” is quickly following suit. Her singles have caused fans and even other singers (Jacquees & T.Pain) to put their own spin on her tracks, creating remixes that have gone viral on social media.

The British songbird has also been nominated for two American Music Awards, Favorite Female Artist Soul/R&B” and Favorite Song Soul/R&B for “Boo’d Up.” Right on the heels of her own sold-out U.S. headlining tour, she will join Bruno Mars next month on his 24K Magic World Tour, kicking off her run in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center on October 4th.

19-year-old Amandla Stenberg is on the road of discovery, figuring out what she likes and what she doesn't like all while being watched under a microscope as a Hollywood actress.

The road to self-discovery wasn't an easy one, but The Hate U Give actress seems to be headed on the right path.

“Gender and sexuality are so fluid," said in her Seventeen magazine cover story for the October/November 2018 issue.

"It’s okay to change your mind a million times and figure out what works for you,” she continued. "It’s okay to take your time… I’d been out as bisexual, and people have known I’m queer for a long time. I saw some comments that made me chuckle, like, ‘Girl, we been knew!’ But I wanted to make it very clear that I have romantic love for women.”

While she's currently living in her truth - dating female musician King Princess (real name Mikaela Straus) - she had a hard time being open about her sexual preference due to, what she called, "internalized homophobia."

“I realized I had so much internalized homophobia and so much discomfort around hooking up with dudes,” she told the magazine. “I always knew that when I hooked up with girls, it was the happiest I’d been in any sexual dynamic.”

The Everything, Everything actress came out twice. Back in 2016, she revealed she was a "black, bisexual woman" during a Teen Vogue Snapchat discussion. Earlier this year, she came out "again" revealing she's just gay - not bi or pan.

"I love that we have this umbrella term of queer, and so many things can exist underneath it, but I realized that part of my journey was hiding underneath that umbrella, because I was scared—on a personal and a public level—to confront what I was. It was easier for me to say 'I’m bi' or 'I’m pan' as I was figuring it out. But I came to a place where I felt really proud of my sexuality, and I decided I wanted to share that pride.”

The Hunger Games actress talked about how she developed body confidence in Hollywood. It's no surprise she shared that she was pressured to lose weight as folks behind-the-scenes oversexualized her body. These days, the young actress - who described herself as "slim-thick" and "petite" - only works in spaces that make her feel comfortable.

"I try to only work in spaces now that make me feel comfortable. It’s challenging, but I’d rather be healthy and happy and love my body," she said.

The Dallas DA is possibly considering upgrading the manslaughter charge give to the white cop who killed Botham Jean to murder. Get the deets, plus see how Ted Cruz attacked Senate candidate Beto O'Rourke as he denounced the killing of unarmed black men inside...

Earlier this month, 26-year-old college graduate Botham Jean was gunned down inside of his own home after 30-year-old police officer Amber Guyer entered HIS apartment and shot him in the chest. Since the shooting, she has changed her story up several times, but the going narrative (as of now) is that she entered his apartment believing she was in her own apartment. When she realized someone was inside, she started shooting and ended up killing Botham.

Three days after the shooting, Amber Guyger was brought up on manslaughter charges. She turned herself in and was released two hours later after posting the $300,000 bond. As of now, she has been placed on paid administrative leave.

According to TV One's Roland Martin, Dallas County District Attorney Faith Johnson is open to upgrading the charges to murder:

While Botham Jean's family has been vocal about wanting the white officer's charges upgraded to murder, we caution the move being that, if the investigators don't have enough concrete evidence that Officer Guyger intended on killing Botham, she would get off scotch free. It's a tricky situation.

Also, people have been wondering why Officer Guyger is still employed by the Dallas Police Department. Dallas police chief U. Renee Hallissued a statement recently, explaining why no disciplinary action has been taken against Officer Guyger

"There is one overriding reason that I have not taken any administrative or employment action against Officer Amber Guyger. I don't want to interfere with the on-going criminal investigation into her actions.

"Here's why. As an employer, DPD can compel Officer Guyger to provide a statement during a DPD administrative investigation and those statements given to DPD could potentially compromise the criminal investigation.

"That is not a risk I am willing to take. We cannot let the criminal case be determined on a 'technicality' rather than the facts. An exhaustive and thorough criminal investigation is essential, and as soon as we are assured that conducting an administrative investigation will not impede on the criminal investigation, we will proceed."

Three additional search warrants have been served in the investigation into Botham Jean's death.

NBCDFW reports:

Two of the warrants request doorbell video from two addresses on Arch Place. The warrants were served on “Ring,” a California-based company that provides doorbell security cameras systems.

In a third warrant, investigators are seeking security camera video from ADT Security Services, for additional camera footage from an address on Arch Place.

This evidence is crucial to the investigation.

We'd like to note, nine protestors ended up spending more time behind bars for defending Botham than his killer. About 100 protestors gathered outside of the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX to protest the recent deaths of Botham Jean and of Oshae Terry, who an Arlington officer killed as he was fleeing a traffic stop.

After the original protest ended, nine of them started blocking the stadium's gates. They then proceed to stand in the middle of the street, locked arms and blocked traffic. The demonstrators were eventually arrested and charged obstructing a roadway, which is a Class B misdemeanor. Guess what? They all ended up spending two nights in jail. Arlington Police Sergeant Christopher Cookclaims the Arlington police didn't have the authority to set bond for Class B or high misdemeanors, so they had to be transferred to Tarrant County Jail and appear before a judge.

Now, we're not condoning the demonstrators breaking the law, but isn't it ironic they ended up spending more time in jail than the person who TOOK Botham's life?

Oh, and let's not forget how the Dallas police leaked the report that a small amount of marijuana was found in Botham's apartment as an attempt to tarnish his image and in a twisted way, justify his murder.

Incumbent Republican U.S. Senator Ted Cruz is running for re-election to a second term in Texas against Democratic candidate Beto O'Rourke and Libertarian candidate Neal Dikeman.  Texas is notoriously red, but maybe not for long?

Teddy is trying his damnedest to make his opponent O'Rouke appear to be a left-wing radical. However, his latest attempt totally backfired. He shared a clip of O'Rourke - who has been woke from the get and has publicly supported NFL players kneeling in protest - denouncing Botham Jean's murder during a town hall meeting inside the Good Street Baptist Church in Dallas recently:

In the clip above, O'Rourke pointed out how Botham's murder was an example of racial injustice when it comes to policing. Obviously, Cruz felt like sharing the clip would hurt his campaign (because, so many blacks), but in fact, it only made it better. His bad.

What's better than one baby? Twins!

Before hitting the court for the NBA's preseason set to kick-off next week, OKC Thunder player Russell Westbrook and his wife Nina Westbrook revealed some exciting news. They're expecting twins! And they're both girls! Aww...

The Westbrook household is about to go from a trio to to quintuple as they gear up to welcome two new babies, who will be the younger siblings of their 1-year-old big brother, Noah Westbrook.

"Being a Dad is more important for me than anything else," the NBA baller said in a cute, family YouTube video. "Family is always the most important thing for me. Regardless of you know what I do or how I do it, but it’s important that Noah knows I’m his Dad first and a basketball player or anything else after.”

In the clip, the couple talked about Nina's boutique, The Little Ark, that offers stylish and clever gifts, as well as fun classes and events for babies, kids, and their parents in Oklahoma City.

They then talked about how their son likes to terrorize the new family dog, and that's when Nina announced they are expecting two bundles of joy. Following her announcement, Russell confirmed its twin girls they are expecting.

It's midterm election season and forever First Lady Michelle Obama is doing her part to get people out to the polls to vote!

The former First Lady will be hitting the road to encourage potential voters to show up and show out at the midterm elections. The When We All Vote Week of Action will be held Sept. 22nd-29th.

FLOTUS,will host events through her new initiative, When We All Vote - a nonpartisan organization she launched in July, all across the country to register voters and to get them excited about the November midterm elections, raise awareness on issues and civic participation. An array of celebrities will be joining her on her journey.

Mrs. O, who serves as co-chair, has teamed up with nearly 20 black organizations - including nine predominantly black fraternities and sororities - that will hold events in their own communities. The National Urban League, the NAACP, Black Girls Vote, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and others have signed on to show support.

Democrats are working overtime to take back control of Congress from the Republicans.

Mrs. Obama's week-long action to get people signed up coincides with the 53rd anniversary of the Voting Rights Act, which gave African-Americans the right to cast a vote.

Over the weekend, Beyonce and Jay Z brought their "On The Run II" tour to the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles and everyone who's anyone came out to go "apesh*t" with the music legends.

The Carters are 20 years strong in the game and they're still just as relevant as they were when they first hit the music scene. They put on a spectacular performance before a sold-out crowd that included tons of celebrities in the audience...BOTH nights.

For the LA shows, Mrs. Carter pulled out a rendition of an iconic outfit from her stash, styling in a leather ensemble that closely resembles what she wore during her FORMATION world tour.

Nope, the devil aint gonna win tuh-day!  "Cosby Show" star Geoffrey Owens' glow up is on 1,000! Get the deets on all the new gigs he has lined up inside....

"Cosby Show" alum Geoffrey Owens, who played Elvin Tibideaux, was thrust back into the limelight several weeks ago when a woman took a picture of him while he was working at a Trader Joe's in New Jersey. He was between jobs and had fallen on harder times, so he nabbed a job at the grocery store to keep his bills paid. its definitely not uncommon for actors to work non acting jobs, seeing that only about 1% make a living off of solely acting.

The photo quickly went viral and folks were shaming him for bagging groceries. But, things quickly turned around for Owens, who received an outpouring of support from Hollywood. Tons of actors - even some who currently star on hit shows - shared their stories about times they worked non acting jobs to make ends meet.  Then, Tyler Perry first offered him a role on his hit drama series "The Have & The Have Nots."

Now, he's gearing up for a movie role.

The 57-year-old actor will join Michael Ealy(Think Like A Man), Mike Colter ("Luke Cage"), Tyrin Turner (Menace II Society) and Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby) in Deon Taylor's noir thriller, Fatale, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  Owens will be starring as an attorney in the film.

BlacKKKlansman star Damaris Lewis will also join the cast.

THR reports:

Fatale centers on a married man (Ealy) who is tricked into a murder scheme by a seductive female police detective (Swank). Lewis plays Ealy's character's wife, Traci, while Owens plays his attorney.

Taylor, who recently wrapped Meet the Blacks sequel The House Next Door, is directing from a script by David Loughery. Roxanne Avent and Robert F. Smith are producing for Hidden Empire Film Group, which is fully financing the movie. Endeavor Content is handling worldwide sales.

Said Taylor, "Geoffrey and Damaris are great talents with cool roles in Fatale that will show off their acting chops working opposite Hilary, Michael and the others. These will be memorable performances, for sure. We're excited that shooting is underway and have our game plan working to make an amazing movie."

After Tyler Perry welcomed him to TP Studios, pictures of the actor on set of the series in Atlanta began popping up on social media:

He's currently filming his recurring role for the show's 7th season, which will debut in 2019. It's unclear what his role on the show is as of right now.

In a recent interview, Owens revealed Bill Cosby's sexual assault legal battle took a toll on his finances. He claims that was one of the reasons he had to get the job at Trader Joe's.

“Yes, it impacted me financially,” Owens explained to PEOPLE magazine about his royalty checks. “At the time that the show was pulled, that did make a difference in our income. That was one of the elements that led to my getting to the place where I said to myself, ‘I have to do something’ and I was thinking, ‘What can I do?’ and the answer ended up being Trader Joe’s, which is actually a wonderful situation for me in many ways,” he added.

He worked there for 15 months before the viral photo changed his life.

“I just had to do something to support myself and my family,” he added.

Cosby was convicted on three aggravated indecent sexual assault charges back in April where he was accused of drugging and sexually assaulting former Temple University employee Andrea Constand. Each charge can carry a sentence of up to 10 years behind bars.

Dallas officer Amber Guyger - who shot and killed her neighbor Botham Jean in his apartment - was fired by the Dallas Police Department today. More inside...

Amber Guyger, the white police officer who killed her black neighbor Botham Jean, has been fired from the Dallas Police Department. Dallas Police Chief U. Renee Hall relieved the 30-year-old officer - who had been on the force for four years - of her duties after an internal investigation determined she "engaged in adverse conduct" when she was arrested on manslaughter charges.

We still want ot now if she was immediately tested for drugs and/or alcohol.

You'll recall, she was arrested for the fatal shooting of 26-year-old college graduate Botham Jean inside of HIS apartment on September 6th. She told investigators she confused his apartment for her own and when he didn't follow her verbal commands when the door was opened (she's changed her story about whether the door was ajar or if Botham opened it), she shot him in the chest, which resulted in his death.

Three days after the shooting, the former officer was brought up on manslaughter charges. She turned herself in and was released two hours later after posting the $300,000 bond. She was placed on paid administrative leave until today (September 24th). Previously, Chief Hall revealed she hadn't fired Amber from the force because she did not want to interfere with the on-going criminal investigation into her actions.

Since Botham's death, it seems like the DPD has been more concerned with not tarnishing Botham's image versus conducting a thorough murder investigation. According to Jean's family's attorneys, the police leaked information about marijuana supposedly being found in Botham's apartment as a smear campaign.

"The Jean family expressed satisfaction in this explanation and in Guyger's termination. We see it as an initial victory — well received on the day Botham Jean is laid to rest in his native country in St. Lucia," attorney Lee Merritt's office said in a statement, adding that they are committed to seeing a "proper murder indictment, conviction, and appropriate sentencing."

Jean's family also want Guyger's manslaughter charge upgraded to murder.

Also, the Botham case was brought up in the U.S. Senate race between Republican incumbent Ted Cruz and his Democratic challenger, Rep. Beto O'Rourke. Cruz called himself making O'Rourke look bad by reposting a video of his opponent speaking about the injustice since he was gunned down in his home.

Oh Jesse.  The "Grey's Anatomy" star just got himself into a SITUATION situation.  He's getting tons of backlash over his taste in memes to promote his new Emmett Till movie.  But is Black Twitter misinterpreting what he meant?  Deets inside....

Jesse Williams is about a quarter of a f*** up from being cancelled for good, let Black Twitter tell it.

The actor is set to make his directorial debut in an upcoming movie focused on the aftermath of Emmett Till's murder.

Deadline just revealed the news this afternoon, but Jesse may have already ruined it.  The trade publication reports:

Jesse Williams, one of the stars of ABC’s long-running series, Grey’s Anatomy, is marking his feature directorial debut with Till, a film centered around Mamie Mobley Till, the mother of Emmett Louis Till, a Black teen who was lynched after being accused flirting with a white woman in the Jim Crow-era South.

The film, which is being produced by Whoopi Goldberg, is based on a screenplay by Michael Reilly and civil rights filmmaker Keith A. Beauchamp.

The film is based on Beauchamp’s 2005 documentary, The Untold Story of Emmett Louis Till, which led the United States Department of Justice to reopen the Till case in 2004.

Till is about Mamie Mobley Till’s journey for justice following the brutal murder of her fourteen-year-old son in the heart of the Mississippi Delta in 1955.

Just as the news dropped, Jesse tweeted a now-deleted series of memes that included historical pics of a visibly distraught Mamie Till standing over her son's casket.  Jesse slapped the words from Nike's newest Colin Kaepernick campaign - focusing on sacrifice - on the pics as well.

“Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.”

Anything seen as commercializing death never goes over well, especially not when a black woman's pain is being used.   So Twitter read the actor the riot act, saying Mamie didn't "sacrifice" her son, her son was ripped from her life by racist whites:

Deadline recalls:

Emmett Till’s murder was seen as the impetus for the next phase of the Civil Rights Movement. At the time of his funeral, Mamie famously insisted on an open casket ceremony, exposing her son’s mutilated body and bringing attention not only to racially charged violence but also to the odious and barbaric practice of lynching.

The two white men who kidnapped and murdered Emmett were acquitted by an all-white jury. The men later confessed to the murder in an interview published in Look magazine, but due to the Double Jeopardy Clause of the Fifth Amendment, the men were protected from a retrial.

Carolyn Bryant-Donham, the woman at the center of Emmett’s case, decades later admitted to fabricating her testimony regarding her interaction with Emmett.

While the memes are a WHOLE mess, especially without properly conveyed context, we wonder if Jesse was speaking of Mamie Till's handling of her son's death as the sacrifice, as opposed to her son's death itself.

Mamie Till made one of the boldest, most selfless decisions after her son was beaten and killed at the hands of racist white men who believed a racist white woman's tale that Emmett did the "unconscionable act" of flirting with her.  While much of America in the 50's was busy trying to convince the rest of America that we, as a country, had turned a corner in Civil Rights and racism was a thing of the past (sound familiar?), Mamie Till wanted to make sure EVERYONE knew that racism was alive and well. 

She decided to hold an open casket, public funeral where media and the public were welcomed to view the evilness that resulted in her son's life being taken.  It is one of the biggest turning points in the Civil Rights era.  Mrs. Till sacrificed her peace, personal comfort and personal grieving to showcase the injustice in her son's death.

A few others seem to agree, even though we still believe Jesse didn't convey his message properly:

My guess is Jesse Williams was trying to articulate the sacrifices Mamie Till made to get justice for her son and to combat poverty as an activist she would later become. The movie is about the aftermath so that’s the only rationalization I could see.

Emmett Till was murdered but it wasn't until his mother sacrificed her privacy for an open casket funeral that his death got global attention. So in a sense, she sacrificed something for her beliefs.

An exploration of power and pulling back the curtain on cultural violence; of boyhood and maternity challenging America’s reflex to hide from itself; underdogs refusing to pretend that terror is freedom.”

Production starts Summer 2019 with the support of the Till family.  We hope Jesse gets his director act together by then and thinks through messaging much more thoroughly.

"ANTM" judge Janice Dickerson, who testified that she was sexually assaulted by Cosby, was present in the courtroom, along with other women who came forward with claims that Cosby sexually assaulted them. Up to 60 women have accused Cosby of sexual assault.

Back in April, a jury found the 81-year-old entertainer guilty on three counts of aggravated assault for drugging and sexually assaulting former Temple University employee Andrea Constand inside his Philadelphia home in 2004.

By the way, Bill's case is the first celebrity sexual assault trial since the #MeToo movement kicked off last fall.

During today's proceedings, Cosby's lawyers argued over whether it's constitutional to make the former Hollywood veteran register as a sex offender. Joseph Green, who represents Cosby, said the law was unconstitutional and that it could not be constitutionally applied to Cosby because it was punitive - and punishment without due process, according to CNN.

Attorney Green also argued Cosby is legally blind, and he's not fit to go to prison.

A Commonwealth Attorney responded with claims that Cosby is trying to "escape" the registration for sexual predators. They argued that the sex offender registration laws are not punitive. They said it's a way to help citizens and their children protect themselves.

Judge O'Neill ended up ruling that the Sexually Violent Predator Assessment and current PA law dealing with sex offender registrations was constitutional.

Kristen Dudley, a psychologist and a member of the Pennsylvania Sexual Offenders Assessment Board, then testified that Cosby SHOULD be labeled a "sexually violent predator" because he has a "mental disorder that involves urges toward non-consenting women." Dr. Dudley believes if given the opportunity, he would re-offend.

Bill's accuser, Andrea Constand, took the stand to deliver a victim impact statement (as well as members from her family, including her mother, father and sister).

"I have testified, I have given you my victim impact statement," Andrea said in court today. "You heard me, the jury heard me and Mr. Cosby heard me. All I'm asking for is justice as the court sees fit," she said.

The defense did not call any witnesses, but Cosby could possibly take the stand tomorrow during day 2 of sentencing.

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele requested a sentence of 5 to 10 yrs in state prison.

You recall, Cosby's first trial ended in a mistrial in June 2017, but prosecutors retried the case.

North rocked a black crop top paired with a red leather jacket and red leather skirt to rip the runway as the doll "Thrilla."

Kanye West is still in his hometown after announcing he would be living there permanently. For Sunday Funday, 'Ye and his 2-year-old son Saint West hit the field to throw the ceremonial first pitch ahead of the Chicago White Sox's game against the Chicago Cubs. They were serving up father-son vibes, rocking matching White Sox jerseys. Yeezy paired his with Heron Preston sweatpants.

By the way, the Cubs beat the White Sox, 6-1.

Sunni Dai is making a splash on the fashion scene and she's only 6-years-old!

Daila Beasley, better known as Sunni Dai, recently introduced her own kid's fashion show, dubbed Sunni Dai Kids, during New York Fashion Week. She curated a pop-up and runway show with celebrity kids and influencers in the mix for the kiddie fashion fun. YouTube stars the McClure Twins walked in her NYFW show.

The real-life YBF kid featured looks from Mia New York, D’Vander Clothing, Ashley Rose, LuLui’s Bikinis, Sprayground, Lil Xo, Dezzy Footwear, and Popgirl Pom on the runway. Each brand caters to kid friendly fashions that are inclusive of everyone, and that's uber important to the fashion mogul in the making.

Sunni's mom, LaTish Roach, dished to Bombshell By Bleu about how the idea came about. She said after she was having difficulty getting cast in roles, she came up with an idea that would allow her daughter to express herself creatively. 

Sunni is the youngest person ever to produce a fashion show production at NYFW and Miami Swim week. Woot!

"Sunni begin modeling at a young age and was often casted for older kids because of her size," Sunni's mom told Bombshell By Bleu. " She’s always been bigger and taller than kids her age. This limited her booking in the industry. So I decided to create a business that allowed her to express her love for the industry based on her size."

Good job mom!

"We chose designers based on their brand. Are they kid friendly, market to all ethnicities, sizes of youth, are they currently in retail, attend children trade shows, and exclusive to be shown only at our event during that time frame," her mother continued.

Also, Sunni is all about giving back. Some of the proceeds from her shows are donated to organizations she chooses. Loves it!

Boomerang is making a comeback thanks to Halle Berry and Lena Waithe, but it will not be a reboot. Get the deets on the new show, plus find out which YBF stars have joined the First Wives Club cast inside...

Don't call it a reboot! It's a sequel.

Halle Berry and Lena Waithe are teaming up to executive produce a sequel of sorts for the 1992 classic film, Boomerang. It was first reported to be a reboot, now it's being hailed as a sequel that will morph into an actual series, instead of a movie, according to Shadow & Act.

Can you believe its been 26 years since Boomerang hit theaters? The Oscar winner was featured in the film, starring opposite Eddie Murphy, and it ended up becoming her breakthrough role on the Hollywood scene. Now, the Oscar winner is looking to put her own spin on the classic with help from EMMY winning writer Lena Waithe.

“I’m thrilled to team up with Lena on this project as she is without a doubt a leading voice of her generation and a trailblazer in her own right,” Halle said in a statement. “I’m truly excited to be a part of bringing this iconic and beloved film to the small screen.”

It was initially developed as a reboot, now it's a sequel series. It's a fresh spin for the younger generation. Shadow & Act gives a quick synopsis:

The series will follow the lives of Jacqueline Boyer's (Robin Givens) son and Marcus (Eddie Murphy) and Angela Graham's (Halle Berry) daughter as they attempt to step out of their parents' shadows and make a legacy of their own.

“This is less of a reboot and more of a continuation of the original story," Lena said. "There’s no point in trying to remake a classic. It can’t be done. So we want to create something fresh that speaks to a new generation. We hope people will come to the show with an open mind and ready to embrace the new world we’ve created!"

Waithe ("The Chi") will co-write the pilot with Ben Cory Jones ("Insecure") and Dime Davis ("The Chi") will helm the piolet and will also be on board for future episodes. Jones will also serve as an executive producer and the showrunner. Busy man.

We're actually not mad at this one. Sometimes reboots can be epic fails, but putting a new spin on the movie for the next generation is a great idea. Will you be tuned in?

Speaking of movies turned into series...

"First Wives Club" just added some sexy chocolate to the cast.

Malik Yoba ("Empire"), RonReaco Lee ("Survivor's Remorse") and Mark Tallman ("Single Ladies") will be joining Jill Scott, Ryan Michelle Bathe and Michelle Buteau for the First Wives Club reboot. The 10-episode series will be a remake of the 1966 classic movie, First Wives Club. And Girls Trip co-writer Tracy Oliver is working her magic behind-the-scenes on the project in collaboration with Paramount Television.

Here's the breakdown of the men's characters (via Deadline):

Tallman will play David, Ari’s husband, a very driven politician running for the Senate whose ambition and ego often come before his wife and family.

Lee is Gary, Bree’s college-sweetheart husband, a dedicated teacher and father whose infidelity will prove to be a challenge for their marriage.

Yoba will portray Derrick, Hazel’s unfaithful music-mogul husband who is very entangled in her career.

Filming starts in New York City this fall to prepare for a 2019 premiere. "First Wives Club" will kick off Paramount Network’s new Thursday dramedy night in January.

Drake pulled up in the 504 last night after having to cancel two previous shows on the Drake & The Three Amigos tour due to illness. He came back with a bang....and Big Freedia. Ayyyeee!

The Young Money rapper was in YMCMB's original HQ of New Orleans last night, so he had to come correct. With a custom blinged out SCORPION jacket, the fully recovered Drizzy proved he learned his lesson about leaving out New Orleans legend Big Freedia from his previous video for "Nice For What". He brought out the Bounce queen and proud LGBT rights activist to do his thing during "Nice For What" (his voice is sampled on the track).

Back in July, Freedia revealed he had to hit Drake up about being in the "In My Feelings" video he was shooting in New Orleans. His voice is sampled on that track as well. Fans had all the criticism for Drake seemingly intentionally wanting Freedia to be heard and not seen. So he corrected his wrong and made sure Freedia got his wish:

"I decided to hit him up myself and was like, 'Why you didn't let me know you were in New Orleans?'" she told TMZ. "And he was like, 'I just got here. Why don't you come through? We're shooting a video tonight. I want you to get a few cameos.' So I did that."
 

Drizzy took it one step further last night and had the Queen Diva bounce all the a** on stage too. Check it:

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are creating their own lane in the royal family, proving that they are just as down to earth as any person you'd meet out on the streets.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex love PDA action and they always look like they're having such a good time together. The happily married couple made an appearance for the inaugural Coach Core Awards at Loughborough University in Loughborough, England recently.

Coach Core, part of the Royal Foundation, is an apprenticeship scheme that helps young people to build careers in sport. Their Royal Highnesses - Prince Harry, Prince William, and Kate Middleton - understand the power and impact sports can have on young people, so they sought to develop a new program using sports to help improve life chances. They launched the program in 2012.

Prince Harry could hardly keep his hands off his wife, who was styling in a ruffled Oscar de la Renta top paired with Altuzarra pants as they played ball with students in the program.

The former "Suits" star will be featured in the upcoming HBO documentary about Queen Elizabeth, titled "Queen of the World," where she will share details about her royal marriage ceremony to her husband Prince Harry.

In the clips that have been released, Meghan shares that the "something blue" she used on her wedding day was a patch of fabric cut from the dress she wore on their first date. OMG! How romantic. Ugh!

She also talked about how her tribute to the Commonwealth was a total surprise to Prince Harry. Each of the 53 Commonwealth countries were represented in the embroidery of the veil.

While Meghan played ball with her hubby, her friend Serena Williams was being honored at an event....

Serena Williams is getting her flowers while she's still here. The tennis superstar was honored at the 5th Annual Imagine Ball, presented by John Terzian & Val Vogt inside the Peppermint Club in LA recently. The 36-year-old had a few of her friends in attendance, including Destiny's Child members Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams and singer Nicole Scherzinger to help celebrate.

The 23-time Grand Slam winner looked amazing in her cheetah print dress from her own collection, which she paired with Chloe boots and her killer le.

How bomb is she? Kelly Rowland flexed in a silver Retrofête ensemble that infused comfort and style.

Her hubby Tim Weatherspoon wasn't far behind.

Michelle Williams, who will premiere her new reality show with her fiance Chad Johnson in November, kept it cute in an LBD and black sandals.

'Rena's hubby Alexis Ohanian was also in the mix to celebrate wifey.

Rapper Wiz Khalifa and comedian Chris Rock were also on the scene.
