Aretha Franklin's funeral is about to go down with several high profile singers lending their voices to lay The Queen of Soul to rest. More inside...

It's going to be a star-studded affair for Aretha Franklin's homegoing ceremony.

Several of The Queen of Soul's celeb friends will pay special tribute to the late singer at her funeral which will be held on August 31st at 10am inside the Greater Grace Temple in Detroit. It's reported the funeral will be private for only her family and friends.

Aretha's family announced there will be 19 performers during the ceremony, including Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia, Chaka Khan, Ronald Isley, Yolanda Adams, Shirley Caesar, the Clark Sisters and Jennifer Holliday, to name a few. (Full list of performers below).

Most of the singers listed to perform are longtime friends of the Queen and have also collaborated with her songs throughout her lustrous career. You'll recall, Aretha handpicked JHud to play her in an upcoming biopic.

According to USA Today, Bishop Charles H. Ellis III of Greater Grace will officiate the service, with the Rev. Robert Smith Jr. of Detroit's New Bethel Baptist Church as co-officiant. The eulogy will be delivered by the Rev. Jasper Williams Jr. of Atlanta's Salem Baptist Church.

It's not yet known if the family will decide to stream the funeral online for fans.

FOX Detroit reports public viewings have been scheduled to take place at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History on August 28th & 29th from 9am - 9pm. An additional viewing has been added for Thursday, August 30th at New Bethel Baptist Church from 12pm - 4pm.

As previously reported, the "Respect" singer passed away a week ago in her home in Detriot after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 76. It has been reported Aretha did not leave a will behind and that her partner of 30 years is allegedly looking to cash in on her fortune. Get those deets HERE.

It's official!

Phaedra Parks is returning to reality television and her resurgence is causing quite a stir in the Braxton camp.

The former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star will now be appearing as a friend to Traci Braxton on WEtv's "Braxton Family Values." The Braxton Sisters are currently not on the best of terms, and apparently, will not even be appearing on upcoming episodes this season.

We shared a sneak peek at the new season last week where Trina Braxton broke down in tears about how much they've grown apart.  According to Trina, the sisters barely speak or see each other anymore and it's tearing her apart. Everyone has a lot going on in their lives and their "sister time" has been affected.

Traci has seemingly found a friend in Phaedra, formerly of "RHOA," and they have been busy on the "Braxton Family Values" promo trail.  Interestingly, it seems Traci is the only sister doing promo for the new season.

TheYBF.com chopped it up with Traci, Phaedra, and Flavor Flav (who will also appear on the new season as a friend of Traci's) in NYC at a recent press event (which, yes, we found odd in itself). We're not exactly sure the REAL reason the other sisters weren't there, although it has been said that they decided to hault filming because they're demanding more money.

As everything gets sorted out, Traci seems to be stepping away from the sister mold to do her own thing. We know her and Tamar Braxton have been at odds, especially after Tamar axed her from her tour earlier this year.

Traci's friends, Phaedra and Flav, offered up some advice on how she should handle her ongoing feud with her sisters.

"I just told her family's first. While we are there to support her, nothing comes between your sisters. You can't let the outside put anything in your head because blood is thicker than water," Phaedra told YBF correspondent Unique Chapman.

Traci said she enjoyed having her celeb friends on the show, but she misses her sisters.

Now y'all know shade queen Tamar Braxton wasn't going to let someone new person come on the show without sharing her 2 cents about it to the masses. Even though she claims she's not even doing the show this season (she said she's only appearing in 2 episodes to support her sisters). Hmph.

Recently, Tamar met up with her sisters Trina and Towanda Braxton for a bite to eat. During their sister session, Tamar whipped out her phone to throw hella shade at "Phaedra Braxton." Oop! Apparently, she has an issue with someone coming on the show who ISN'T a "real" Braxton.

And like celebs love to do, she deleted the post.

Later, she hopped on Instagram Live to explain why she came for Phaedra, even though she claims she has no issues with her. In the clip, she said the show is now everything she's against.

"Ratchet television. Ratchet black television. This is nothing like what this whole show was designed to be. It was about five positive black women and that's not what it is anymore and I don't have time for that. And as ghetto, and as ratchet as everyone thinks I am, you can think whatever you want. But, I am nothing like that and don't want to be a part of nothing like that."

Umm...OK, Tay Tay. She said she was blindsided with news that Phaedra was being added to the show, but she doesn't feel like she's a good fit for the Braxton brand.

The happy couple hosted a "Back 2 School Field Day" event at Atlanta's Grant Park Recreation Center where they laced kids with free backpacks full of school supplies. Nice!

The 19-year-old and 27-year-old got up-close-and-personal with the kids and their families, joining in on the potato sack races, three-legged races, and egg spoon races. The event also included face painting, bracelet making, food and an ice cream truck. The event was co-sponsored by Lucci's record label, Think It's A Game Records.

Reginae's mom Toya Wright and her grandmother Anita Johnson-Andrews were also in the mix to show their support. Baby Reign Rushing must have stayed home with dad.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West are the proud parents of three adorable children, but are they gearing up for baby #4? Well, if we believe the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star, not yet.

When asked about the baby #4 rumors, which said she and Kanye have  embryo left that they're itching to use, she shut them down.  But made sure to plug in her reality show to find out the real deal:

"I don't know. I read that. I don't know. None of that was true," she told E! News. "I've been really open about it and talked about it on our show, so I don't know. We start filming season 16 next week, so if I think about it more and it's gonna happen, you'll definitely see it on the show,' Kim shared. 'But as of now, no."

The last embryo is reportedly a boy.

She also talked about her weight loss and revealed she's "motivating" 'Ye to work out with her.  She said that he'll be getting in the gym with her soon.

One of the most memorable stars who appeared on "My 600-LB Life" has passed away. And her daughter claims her death was not due to her weight. More inside...

"My 600-LB Life" season 6 star Lisa Fleming has passed away, according to TMZ. She was 50.

The 50-year-old Alabama woman, who weighed 704lbs at her heaviest and was bedridden, quickly became one of the most memorable stars on the show as she and Dr. Younan Nowzaradan got into several heated arguments about her weight.

If you watch the show, then you know Dr. Now does NOT play when it comes to helping his patients lose weight in hopes of getting them prepared for weight loss surgery. Dr. Now gives it to his clients straight up, no chaser and Lisa was NOT here for it. After she discovered maggots eating away at her skin, she decided to appear on the show to help her lose weight.

As she embarked on her weight loss journey, it wasn't easy at all. It was heart wrenching to watch.

Seven paramedics came into her home to remove her from her bed. “I can’t believe it’s come to this,” she said in the episode.“But at least I’m doing something about it before it gets to be too late.”

Lisa argued with the doctor on numerous occasions about why she couldn't lose weight. She wasn't always truthful about her eating habits (hiding food) and a lot of times, she blamed her weight gain on her boyfriend. He often brought her food she was NOT supposed to be eating even after the doctor and nutritionist gave her a eating plan to follow.

On one episode that aired earlier this year, when the doctor realized she wasn't losing any weight, he confronted her about it.  They argued intensely, and he basically told her she's either going to get with the program, or go back home to Alabama.

In the sad and emotional clip below, she tried to tell Dr. Now she couldn't afford groceries as well as pay her other bills. Then, she broke down.

"I don't know what else to do with myself, so I eat. I'd just rather you send me back to Alabama because it's not working," she said fighting back tears. "I feel like I failed myself. I failed my kids. I don't know how to fix it! I can't help myself," she screamed.

While it seems Lisa died due to the excessive weight on her body, her daughter Danielle Fleming claims her death had "nothing to do with her weight." In fact, she told TMZ, her mother had lost 200lbs on the show after undergoing weight loss surgery.

Danielle said her mom was sick before she appeared on the show and the various illnesses is what eventually took her life.

"At the end she was sick and her body was tired and her body just gave out," she told the site.

Danielle was not there when her mother passed away, but held her mother's hand for 4 hours once she arrived.

Extremely sad. Lisa is the second person who starred on the show that died this month. L.B. Bonner, who got up to over 600lbs, committed suicide two weeks ago, shooting himself in the head.

Our condolences go out to Lisa's family and loved ones.

Yes, chick is making some boss moves joining the current wave of diverse, ground-breaking artists redefining fashion and art photography.

Her work has garnered critical attention and with good reason. This year, W Magazine named her one of the “10 Young Photographers to Follow in 2018."

Big publications like The New Yorker also wrote about Arielle, seen atop at the Afropunk Toyota Green Initiative event at Nas' Sweet Chicks restaurant, sharing with readers her incredible journey from a teenager to professional photographer. Her work has also been exhibited in the Medium Tings gallery and the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center. Nice!

Speaking of black photographers making waves...

When Beyonce gives you the stamp of approval, you know you've made it.

Tyler Mitchell, a 23-year-old photographer, was tapped to shoot Beyonce for her epic (and extra black) VOGUE September 2018 cover. He's the first black photographer to shoot a cover in the magazine's 125-year history. And he's also one of the youngest to shoot for the magazine. Get it!

Shooting for VOGUE and making history is a huge deal, but it shouldn't shock you once you learn about his photog credits. Along with being a video director, his resume includes jobs at Condé Nast, Marc Jacobs, Converse, and he also has a history of working with the Knowles family.

“For so long, black people have been considered things,” Tyler told VOGUE in an interview. “We’ve been thingified physically, sexually, emotionally. With my work I’m looking to revitalize and elevate the black body.”

He shared how comfortable it was for him to shoot the Queen.

“When she sat down for me there was immediately the kind of comfort level you’d have with a friend, which was quite unexpected,” he explained. “You’d imagine someone as famous as Beyonce to be protective of her image, but she was really an open book—and that’s exactly what you want as a photographer."

The Atlanta native shot a visual exploration of modern black masculinity dubbed, "I'm Doing Pretty Hood in My Pink Polo" and he explains how he used his art to highlight the dark side of being a black man in America.

“In that series I wanted to incorporate the things that have been used against black men,” he told the magazine. “You see the dark side of how we’ve been victimized, but there’s a duality to the images,with their candy-colored walls.”

This young man GETS IT. We can't wait to see how he continues to slay the game in the future.

Mel B has found love after ending her nasty divorce from her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte. The "America's Got Talent" judge couldn't keep her hands and lips off her man as they were leaving "AGT" co-judge Simon Cowell's party in LA recently. Photogs snapped pics of her kissing on her man as they made their way to their vehicle. Simon received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, so she stepped out to celebrate.

Right after these pics, she released a statement saying she is entering a treatment facility to focus on her alcohol abuse.

The British tabloid The Sun reports:

A close pal (Rusty Updegraff) also told how she is “sex-crazed” — and slept with up to three men in one day in the wake of her bitter divorce from Stephen Belafonte.

Mel told the tabloid herself she is seeking treatment for alcohol and post traumatic stress, which we assume has been her emotional roller coaster of a divorce battle.

“The past six months have been incredibly difficult for me.  I’ve been working with a writer on my book, Brutally Honest, and it has been unbelievably traumatic reliving an emotionally abusive relationship and confronting so many massive issues in my life.

I am being very honest about drinking to numb my pain but that is just a way a lot of people mask what is really going on."

Sometimes it is too hard to cope with all the emotions I feel. But the problem has never been about sex or alcohol — it is underneath all that.

I am fully aware I have been at a crisis point. No one knows myself better than I do - but I am dealing with it.

I have made the decision to go into a proper therapy programme in the next few weeks, but it has to be in the UK because I am very, very British and I know that will work best for me.

I am still struggling but if I can shine a light on the issue of pain, PTSD and the things men and women do to mask it, I will do.

I am speaking about this because this is a huge issue for so many people.”

Mel, who has claimed in court that ex husband Stephen was physically and emotonally abusive, says she's been diagnosed with PTSD.

“I have recently been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder. I don’t want to jinx it, but so far it’s really helping me.

“I’m not perfect, and I have never pretended to be.

"But I am working on being a better version of myself for my kids - whom I love more than life itself - and for all the people who have supported me.”

Recently, the 43-year-old confirmed she was in love with a new man who gives her "butterflies" and makes her "happy." And that man is her hairstylist, Gary Madatyan. The singer hopped on Instagram to gush about the man in her life that's bringing her so much joy:

Back in October, Gary DENIED that he and the former Spice Girl were an item, despite being pictured together on several occasions (and looking more like a couple than just her hairstylist). But, he likely was just saying that since she was dealing with sorting out her divorce, that ended in November 2017. She didn't need any extra attention while dealing with that mess.

After welcoming their baby boy about 3-months ago, Jeremy "Prison Bae" Meeks and his baby's mother/girlfriend Chloe Green head out for a family vacay in St. Tropez. The couple was spotted holding hands as they took a stroll through the streets. They were joined by his son Jeremy Jr., whom he shares with his ex-wife Melissa Meeks.

They welcomed baby Jayden Meeks-Green in May but, didn'tannounce his arrival until June.

The couple - who has been dating for a little over a year- are fueling rumors that they're engaged. The 27-year-old Topshop heiress (rocking a lepoard print Topshop blouse) was seen wearing a huge diamond ring on THAT finger. She was first spotted wearing the ring earlier this month and she has it on during their vacation.

In very sad and unfortunate news, 22-year-old Eli "Trueboy" Clayton was reportedly fatally shot during a gaming tournament in Jacksonville, Florida. Details inside...

Another senseless act of violence happened in Jacksonville, Florida yesterday taking the lives of two innocent victims. The shooter is also reportedly dead.

According to reports, the "mass shooting" ended with two men shot and killed by a terrorist during the Madden 19 Tournament that was held at the Chicago Pizza & Sports Grille inside Jacksonville Landing. Police confirmed the shooter was the third person killed. Nine others were injured.

Family members and friends have named the two men who died: Eli "Trueboy" Clayton, 22, from California, and Taylor "SpotMePlzzz" Robertson, 27, from West Virginia. The police have yet to confirm the deceased.

The shooting was partially caught on video as the tournament was being livestreamed for fans to watch online. In the clip, you can see a red laser dot on Trueboy's chest before gunshots rung out. Other games spoke to news outlets revealing the shooter was acting "weird" after he was eliminated. They said he was wearing sunglasses and refused to shake hands after he was defeated.

The Daily Mail reports:

The gamer said that when he beat Katz on Saturday in the group round, he tried to shake his hand, but that Katz just stared back at him blankly.

He had shades on, he didn't speak to anybody. Even after we played… I went to shake his hand and just tell him good game and he just looked at me. He didn't say anything,' he said.

Another witness said Katz snapped after losing in the elimination round. The witness said he left the venue briefly, presumably to retrieve the gun from his car, and came back and started "blasting everybody" in "rampage mode."

We are not posting the heart wrenching video here out of respect for the victim's families and friends.  Pizzeria worker Braheem Johnson told USA Today:

"I just heard shots and I looked at the window and I see him," Johnson said. "Dude came in there, basically like, to kill, basically. He was just in his rampage mode."

Johnson barricaded himself and some customers in the kitchen and grabbed two knives, adding, "If you come into this kitchen, you're bound to get stabbed."

Authorities confirm 24-year-old David Katz of Baltimore opened fire on gamers playing in the tournament a day after he was disqualified from the tournament. The suspect, who Sheriff Mike Williams said used a single firearm, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The shooter also posted a message on social media before the shooting saying "he wanted to kill someone."

On EA Sports' website, Trueboy was said to be consistently one of the best in competitive Madden. He was playing to win the $5,000 grand prize and, of course, bragging rights.  The Jacksonville event was a regional qualifier leading to an October final in Las Vegas, with a top prize of $25,000.

The courts want Tamar Braxton to hurry up with her pending divorce from Vince Herbert. Meanwhile, Gucci Mane's baby's mother is gunning for more child support. Deets inside...

Tamar Braxton has something else to be worried about other than her sister Traci Braxton bringing Phaedra Parks to appear on "Braxton Family Values."

The courts want her to get a move on this divorce she filed against her estranged husband Vince Herbert. And if she doesn't, it could possibly be dismissed.

According to The Blast, if Tay Tay doesn't offer up some receipts, her pending divorce could be dunzo. The L.A. County court has reportedly warned the 41-year-old R&B singer that her divorce against her her former manager could be thrown out if she doesn't prove she served him the divorce papers.

The courts haven't heard anything from Vince, so she has to show proof that he was in fact served "to acquire a default judgement without his involvement needed." If she doesn't produce the receipts, then the case could get thrown out.

You'll recall, she filed for divorce in October 2017 after nearly 9 years of marriage, seeking "dissolution of marriage with a minor child." The couple shares their 5-year-old son Logan Braxton Herbert, who celebrated a birthday in June.It's also reported she's seeking primary custody of their son.

The couple fell on hard financial times when a lien was put on the their Calabasas mansion. According to reports, they sued the music producer and won a judgement for more than $104,000. However, Vince has yet to pay up.

44-year-old Vince, who is formerly part of Lady Gaga's management team, also owes SONY music label a whopping $3.7 million after settling a lawsuit about an advance.

There's whispers that the divorce is simply a business move to protect assets amid Vince's financial troubles. Now, it's just the waiting game to see if Tamar will bust a move.

We know Mama Evelyn Braxton is itching for Tamar to get the divorce done since she made claims that Vince literally tried to kill Tamar. 

By the way, a new episode of "Braxton Family Values" airs this Thursday at 9/8c on WEtv.

In other legal drama...

Gucci Mane's baby's mother wants more money in child support since the rapper was able to afford that luxe wedding for himself and his now wife Keyshia Ka'oir.

Now, she's looking to have her child support payments upped to $20,000/month since there has been a “significant change in circumstances” since they reached an agreement on custody and child support for their son - Keitheon (born in 2007) - back in 2011.

He was paying a tad over $2,000/month when they reached an agreement 7 years ago. But, his son's mother - Sheena Evans - claims that since he spends an excessive amount of money on jewelry and that he dropped at least $1 million for his lavish wedding, which is more than enough proof that he can start paying more in helping to financially take care of his son.

Not only that, she wants him to pay $15,000 for her attorney fees and wants him to take out a $5 million life insurance policy.

The Blast reports:

She explains their son needs a caregiver to watch him throughout the day and she can’t afford to hire one. As a result, she is unable to work or go to school at the moment.

Sheena also argues that since Gucci Mane was released from prison in 2016, he has thrived in music, movies, and his business ventures, including a reality show on BET.

Gucci’s baby mama takes issue with him spending a considerable amount of money on fine jewelry and says when the rapper recently got married, he spent in excess of $1 million for his wedding. She says this is proof that is is more than capable of paying more support to her than the current $2k a month.

Sheena is demanding at least $20,000 a month from Gucci Mane and wants him to have to take out a $5 million life insurance policy. She is also asking for $15k in attorney fees.

A judge has yet to rule.

After a fan TRIED TF out of the Carters this weekend in Atlanta, Beyoncé's repsonse was everything.

Umpteen stadiums slayed across the world with zero issues.  But when the Carters pulled up in Atlanta for night 1 of the On The Run II tour this weekend, that all changed. (*Bey's voice* Somebody's getting fiiiiireeeed)

At the end of their show Saturday at the Mercedes Benz Stadium, when Beyoncé & Jay-Z grabbed hands and walk off into their billionaire oblivion with "Apesh*t" playing, they were joined by an unwelcomed guest.

The super scary moment saw a man in a white tee nonchalantly hop on stage - on the front left side - and BOOK IT past the dancers to the very back of the stage where the Carters were still in mid walk-off.

It's unclear if he wanted to harm them, meet them, fan out, or if he was just having a psychotic Beyhive episode thinking he was about to have tea and chicken with the Queen.  Either way, the dancers were NOT trying to wait and find out.

Before security could even put paws on that man and ut the fear of God into him, Beyonce´s dancers went straight Third Ward Houston on that a** and went apesh*t on dude.

Security joined in a half second later with tons of people - dancers, band members and security - taking him to the ground. 

The crowd was unsure if the dancers themselves had gotten into a fight or if the Carters were in danger, but video footage soon showed exactly what went down.  Check it:

Odell Beckham Jr. celebrated with his teammates in the locker room today after inking a $95 million contract with the New York Giants making him the highest paid receiver in the league. See his celebration, plus details about Jemele Hill possibly leaving ESPN inside...

Odell Beckham Jr. is living his BEST life, and we're not exaggerating one bit.

The New York Giants wide receiver just inked the largest contract extension for a wide receiver...ever. Like, he's about to be rolling in dough.  All the dough.  Every flavor.

The 25-year-old NFLer has reportedly agreed to a five-year extension worth $95 million, with $65 million guaranteed with the Giants. The new deal makes him the HIGHEST paid wide receiver in the league, according to ESPN.  Those 17 games he's missed with the Giants clearly don't even matter.

The three-time Pro Bowler beat out Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown's 4-year, $68 million contract and also tops Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans' 5-year, $82.5 million (with $55 mill guaranteed).

To celebrate, Odell turned all the way up with his teammates, including Sterling Shepard and Roger "Otto" Lewis, dancing to the O'Jays' "For The Love Of Money." The accuracy. See the locker room celebration below:

So, get this. Other teams were looking to sign Odell, but nded up not being able to match the Giants' offer.

In fact, one team (that will remain anonymous) hired a private investigator to track him during the spring. According to ESPN, they hired the P.I. after a video featuring Odell in Paris with an aspiring model, a box of pizza and a suspicious white substance in the background. The PI didn't find anything and the team who hired the PI has not been identified.  We do know that it's been reported the Rams and the 49ers were interested in the wide receiver.

Odell will hit the field when the Giants go head-to-head against the Jacksonville Jaguars for the September 9th season opener. The young receiver did not play in the preseason after breaking his ankle in October.

He's also graces the cover of ESPN magazine's upcoming issue out soon.

With this size bag, we expect Odell to SHOW OUT this season. Congrats!

Is Jemele Hill leaving ESPN? That's the word on the curb and we wouldn't be surprised.

According to reports, the outspoken, "I'm-going-to-say-exactly-what's-on-my-mind" ESPN personality's exit was an "amicable departure/buyout." Writer/podcaster Jim Miller was the first to report:

You may remember the drama that kicked off between Jemele and ESPN after she called No. 45 a "white supremacist." It caught the attention of the White House and she was eventually suspended from her show with Michael Smith, "SC6." Remember when ESPN tried to have her taken off the air, but the other black hosts came together and rallied behind her? Hmph.

Following her suspension, she appeared alongside Michael for a few more months, then she announced she was making a move to ESPN's digital platform, "The Undefeated" in February 2018, which gave her an opportunity to speak more freely about a number of topics.

ESPN has not confirmed Jemele's departure and neither has she. However, she did post this over the weekend:

One source claims she's going to get the remainder of her $2.5M, 2-year contract, while another source says the buyout is closer to $6M.

Cardi B is featured in a new comedy skit as the wife of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., Coretta Scott King. And some folks don't find it funny.

The sketch, dubbed "Real Housewives of the Civil Rights Movement," is part of "Wild 'N Out" star Rip Michaels' new show "Off The Rip." In the clip, Bardi cracks jokes about MLK Jr.'s infidelity while spilling tea with other civil rights "housewives," including Malcolm X and Jesse Jackson's wives, along with Rosa Parks. There's even an "Iggy Azalea" cameo, who mentions she's the "white woman who slept with MLK Jr."

The "Bodak Yellow" rapper also stars in a "Ho Etiquette" sketch that some have called racist where she jokes about "cleaning your vagina and butt with a towel is a Puerto Rican bath, a Haitian shower or a Mexican spa day." The show is set to air on MTV.

The Carters' "On The Run II" Tour tops Billboard's Hot Tours list. And get this, the couple has already raked in over $150 million! They beat out other artists who are currently touring, including Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars.

They still have a month and a half left on the tour and Billboard estimates that they'll bring in at least $250 million!

If the estimates hold up, The Carters will have more than DOUBLED what they earned on the original 2014 "On the Run" Tour, which made $109.6 million. Take that haters!

Also...

Bey and Jay are launching a new scholarship program that will award one exceptional senior high school student, with financial needs, $100,000 to put toward their enrollment in a college or university for the academic year 2018-2019. And they're doing it through Bey's BeyGood initiative and Hov's Shawn Carter Foundation.

Qualified students must demonstrate academic excellence and show financial needs that would make it hard for them to enter a college or university for the academic year 2018-2019.

The recipients - students in OTRll Tour markets - will be chosen by the Boys and Girls Club of America. The markets will include Atlanta, where the OTRll Tour plays at Mercedes Benz Stadium tonight and Sunday, August 26, Orlando, Miami, Arlington, New Orleans, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Clara and Seattle.

The Carters have had a long history of helping students get college educations.

Bey created the Formation Scholars Award to help female students start or further their college education. This year, she announced the Homecoming Scholars Award, opened to qualified students, regardless of gender, to enter or continue their studies at one of eight HBCUs. Jay Z also has spearheaded college tours to HBCUs and provided scholarships to college bound students nationwide.

Trey Songz is being sued by the woman who alleges he physically assaulted her after the criminal charges were dropped. Get those deets, plus get the arrest deets about "Sweetie Pie's" star Tim Norman alleged physical assault inside...

Trey Songz isn't out the woods over that alleged domestic violence situation that he was allegedly involved in earlier this year. You may recall, Andrea Buera accused Trigga of violently attacking her during an All Star Weekend party after he allegedly became upset with her for talking to another man.

The R&B crooner turned himself into the LAPD back in March, but was eventually cleared on all misdemeanor and felony charges for lack of evidence. Even after that press conference she conducted with lawyer Lisa Bloom where she showed a slideshow of pictures of the alleged bruises.

While Trigga made claims that she's lying about the whole ordeal, Andrea said Trey put her in the hospital with severe bruises and a concussion.

Now, she's suing for her medical expenses and other damages.

"Mr. Steal Your Girl" hasn't responded to the suit just yet.

Welcome To Sweetie Pie's" star James "Tim" Norman just copped a new mug shot.

The reality star/restaurant owner was arrested on a charge stemming from a physical altercation last year where he's accused of PUNCHING an ex-employee. Yikes.

He was brought up on charges for misdemeanor assault by the District Attorney of Harris County, Texas. The Blast reports Tim punched former "Sweetie Pie's" chef - Horace Hodges - back in April 2017. Apparently, they were talking about paychecks and it escalated to Tim allegedly punching the man in his left eye.

The site reports Tim's ex/"Basketball Wives" star Jennifer Williams was in the restaurant when the altercation went down, but she told police she did not see what happened between the two. However, she did tell police that Tim told her he punched the former chef. Horace is looking to pursue charges, so the District Attorney's Office set things in motion to charge Tim over the incident. Also, Jennifer added Horace as a witness in her quest to get a permanent restraining order against Tim.

Tim was booked into the Harris County jail before he bonded out later after paying $500. He'll go before a judge later this month.

Tim always seems to be wrapped up in some type of drama, doesn't he?

Michael B. Jordan has been spending much of his time in Montgomery, Alabama filming a new movie, Just Mercy. It's a legal drama that he will star in as civil rights attorney Bryan Stevenson, who is the founder of the Montgomery-based Equal Justice Initiative. The company works to represent people who are wrongfully convicted or unfairly sentenced.

Anyhoo, the actor was leaving the set when he saw a group of "young kings" outside doing jumping jacks in in 90 degree weather! He said seeing those kids reminded him why he keeps going, so he had to stop and meet them.

The Black Panther star hopped out his whip and walked up the young men, who attend Valiant Cross Academy, to offer up some words of advice. "You gotta listen to your teachers," he told the young men. "Make sure you listen to your parents. Work hard ... just pay attention because school goes by real quick," he said before snapping flicks with the kiddies. 

The youngings were losing it when they realized the man who starred in Black Panther and CREED.

When we first saw this skit, we knew it was going to be a WHOLE mess. And it is.

Cardi B has been receiving backlash after starring in a new comedy skit as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s wife, Coretta Scott King.

In the sketch for the (possible) show, dubbed "Real Housewives of the Civil Rights Movement," Bardi makes fun of MLK Jr.'s infidelity as she sits with other civil rights "housewives," including Malcolm X and Jesse Jackson's wives, along with Rosa Parks.

"All these hussies want to sleep with my huuuusband," Cardi says in the clip. "But it's alright because I know he marches home to me."

The skit is from "Wild 'N Out" comedian Rip Michaels' upcoming show "Off The Rip," that is, if it ever sees the light of day.

Since the clip was released, folks have been sounding off about how disrespectful the skit is on social media, and dragging Cardi in the process.

Bernice King, MLK & Dr. King's daughter, took to her Twitter account to address the skit. She tweeted (then deleted): "On the 55th anniversary of #IHaveADream,’ a clip on @TMZ depicts my parents (Cardi B playing my mom) & great women of the CRM in a repulsive, false light," Dr. King wrote in a now-deleted tweet. "They paid an extraordinary price so people of color can have a platform- & this is how you use it. @iamcardib: Let's talk."

After causing a stir online, Cardi reached out to MLK Jr. & Coretta's daughter behind-the-scenes to issue an apology. Bernice tweeted:

Martin Luther King III, Dr. King's eldest son, also weighed in on Cardi's skit, calling it a "distraction" and said it's beyond offensive today, on the 55th anniversary of his father's "I Have A Dream" speech. We first spotted Beyonce rocking the Versace mini dress when she posted up a hot shot on her Instagram page back in July. In between hitting the stage for the "On The Run II" Tour, Bey served up model flicks while in Nice, France. She paired the mini shift dress with black and gold Versace leather sandals.

Did you think Aretha Franklin would be anything other than a diva...even after her passing? Well, her family is making sure she goes out in true diva style.

According to Linda Swanson, executive vice president of Swanson Funeral Home, The Queen of Soul will wearing something different for her funeral service on Friday (August 31st). Yes, QUEEN!

"It's a surprise," Linda Swanson said."Just natural changes in wardrobe that a queen would make."

We know Aretha would approve of this.

Fans have been flocking to Detroit's Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History to pay their respects over the two-day public viewing of her body. For the viewing, the Grammy Award winning singer wore 5-inch ruby patent leather Christian Louboutin pumps paired with a ruby red dress made of lace, decorated with a full tulle skirt and chiffon overlay. The dress had beading on the bodice and shoulders with a boat neck collar and chiffon bell sleeves. It's reported Aretha's family selected the ensemble.

"She is presented in a way that reflects her life and her legacy," Swanson said. "She is, indeed, resplendent in repose, as a queen should be."

The icon wore a red dress to symbolize her honorary membership in the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

Aretha's longtime publicist, Gwendolyn Quinn, explained that the official photo of Franklin - which we won't be reposting - in her caske,t was taken and released by the singer's family because they wanted "a respectful photo to share with her millions of fans around the world who could not attend the viewing." The shot is from behind, revealing her red dress and legs crossed at the ankles.

Also, for today's viewing, her clothes were changed to a blue ensemble.

The "Natural Woman" singer was transported to the museum in a white vintage Cadillac LaSalle, the same Cadillac used to transport Rosa Parks' body (when she died in 2005) and her father, Rev. C.L. Franklin (who died in July 1984).

Her body rests inside a solid bronze Promethean casket plated in 24-karat gold. It's reported the casket is lined with champagne velvet; her name "Aretha Franklin" is embroidered in gold metallic thread with "Queen of Soul" beneath. Late singers Michael Jackson and James Brown were buried in the same type of coffin.

After the masses paid their respects on Tuesday, Aretha's Delta Sigma Theta sorority sisters conducted an Omega Omega ceremony, a final tribute to deceased members. About one thousand Deltas came to the service dressed in black dresses and pearls to pay tribute.

The Detroit Free Press reports:

Standing in front of Franklin's gold-plated casket, they conducted a ceremony described as "a final act of loyal sisterhood." It included readings of poems and Bible verses, a performance by Detroit member Yolanda Day of the song "Don't Cry," and a eulogy by U.S. Rep. Brenda Lawrence that was peppered with fond memories of Franklin's love for cooking and talking politics.

Aretha Franklin's private funeral service will be held on Friday, August 31st at 10am inside the Greater Grace Temple in Detroit. It's reported the funeral will be private for only her family and friends. Portions of ceremony will be streamed online and on television (CNN & FOX News). The stream will come courtesy of the Associated Press.

We recently told you singers like Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson and Fantasia will be performing, amongst others. It has been recently reported that Ariana Grande will be added to the line up. No shade, but not sure if she was needed being that there are already 19 entertainers who are scheduled to perform.

Today is the last day for the public viewing at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, which will end at 9pm. An additional viewing will go down Thursday, August 30th at New Bethel Baptist Church from 12pm - 4pm.

As previously reported, the "Respect" singer passed away a week ago in her home in Detroit after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 76. It has been reported Aretha did not leave a will behind and that her partner of 30-years is allegedly looking to cash in on her fortune. Get those detailsHERE.

Kanye West made his way back to his hometown of Chicago this morning to issue an apology for wearing that MAGA hat and his "slavery was a choice" comment. Just in time to drop his new Yeezys. He also broke down in tears while talking about his downfall, his "beef" with Drake, and more. Get it all inside...

So, about those "slavery was a choice" comments and the signed MAGA hat he posted to his Twitter timeline. 'Ye said he's a new man and confirmed that we're going to feel the new impact of the new relationships, new ideas and exposure he has gathered since causing a sh*tstorm in the media by backing Trump and calling slavery a choice.

"I don’t know if I properly apologized for how the slavery comment made people feel. I want to take this moment right now to say I'm sorry for the one-two effect of the MAGA hat into the slave comment," he told the WGCI Chicago radio hosts this morning. "I'm sorry to people who felt let down by that moment. And I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to talk to you about the way I was thinking and what I was going through."

The PABLO rapper's apology had radio host Kendra G all choked up and teary eyed, and that urged 'Ye to give her a call. And, might we add, he's looking like that 2009 'Ye we miss.

"Your voice is so powerful, you have the ability to make changes for the African American community," Kendra told Kanye.

The "Ultralight Beams" rapper also addressed his silence after Jimmy Kimmel asked him if Donald Trump cares about black people. 

"I feel that he cares about the way Black people feel about him. And he would like for Black people to like him like when he was cool in the rap songs. And he will do the things that are necessary to make that happen because he's got an ego like all the rest of us, and he wants to be the greatest president. He knows that he can't be the greatest president without the acceptance of the Black community. It's something he's going to work towards."

Wanting people to like you has nothing to do with whether you respect them, but ok.

As he talked about his highly criticized rant about slavery at the TMZ offices, he said if he had the right people around him, it likely wouldn't have happened. He said he had people around him that could have stopped the situation, but they didn't.

"Don C is not around as much and the people who are around, who are starting to make money, just didn't care about me as much as Don C did. You don't have people that are continuously looking out for your best interest at all costs. I even had people around me at TMZ that could have stopped it."

Kanye broke down in tears while discussing the aftermath of his falling out with streetwear designer Don C.

"I believe that the downfall of Kanye West is directly related to Don C not being around," he continued.

'Ye said he told Don C he needs him so things like the TMZ situation won't happen to him. He thanked everyone who has been riding with him and assured fans that they are going to see a new 'Ye soon. Oh, he also cracks a joke about his ill-fitting sandals. Ha!

In the full interview, Yeezy said he spoke out about his political opinion because he has that right to do so as an American.

"I got love for everybody," Kanye said. "That was a statement of bravery and to not be in control and programmed. That, as a people, we have to have a monolithic thought because if we have a monolithic thought, we are easily controlled and could also possibly be easily eliminated. We have to think and voice our separate opinions.

Yes, and folks have a right to respond how they may as well.

He said he knows black people who voted for Trump, but they were scared to say they did out loud.  (Well, almost 3% of black men did and they very likely value the same ish or run in the same circles as Kanye so that's no surprise).

"That's some 1984 thought control, mind control, programming shit. Because I never voted in my life. And because my voice is so strong, i never even told people my opinion until after. I didn't want to influence it, but I have a right as an American to have my own opinion."

Switching topics, Kanye addressed his "beef" with Drake after his G.O.O.D. Music artist Pusha T bodied him in a rap battle. Ye's name was dragged into the drama where folks were saying he was the one who fed Pusha T information about Drizzy to put on wax. He called Drake insensitive for dragging him in the rap beef and he also said he never told Pusha to stop dragging him on diss-records.  Oh, and he's not about that "demon emoji" life either.

"I don't play like that, I don't play in that place. It ain't no beef. Ain't nobody got no beef. Nobody going to jail. I'm not calling nobody to do nothing," he said. "I don't do that. I make beats, I'm here for a reason. The universe is on my side."

"We all got love for Drake," he continued. "We understand he was upset about it, and I felt it was insensitive of him to stress me out in any way after TMZ while I'm in Wyoming, healing, pulling all pieces together." Ye was asked if reprimanded Pusha for his Drizzy diss track "The Story of Adidon," and he said he didn't.

"No, I didn't. Don't pull me into this conversation. I'm 'Ye. I got major things to do other than be telling him some information about Drake. I honestly don't care that much, in all honesty. I can't tell that man nothing. He his own man. Just don't bring me into it 'cause that's not what I do."

However, Yeezy did say he and Drizzy will make amends one day:

"We'll reconcile that one day because we got to. We got work to do because these voices are just too powerful," he shared.

All in all, 'Ye says he's a changed man these days.  He says he doesn't blame his mental disorder for his actions, but he is simply explaining it. He also now saw just how much black folks rode for him when he saw all the backlash for his recent actions:

“Thank you for ridin’ with me and I need ya’ll as a city to just have my back and I promise you, you gonna to see a new Ye. You gonna feel the impact of the new relationships and new ideas and exposure that I’ve gathered. It’s about to applied now.”

From the football field to jail?! NFLer Mychal Kendricks has found himself in a world of trouble and his life is about to change drastically. Get the deets about his $1.2 million insider trading scheme with a former 'black-ish' writer and how Teyana Taylor falls into the mix inside...

After trash talking his former Eagles teammates in the latest episode of "Hard Knocks," Mychal Kendricks is now the talk of the NFL...and well the Internet as well.

Cleveland Browns linebacker Mychal Kendricks, who was traded from the Eagles in June, is apologizing today after he was charged with insider trading by federal prosecutors to make nearly $1.2 million in illegal profits on four major investments four years ago, according to ESPN.

Former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. banking analyst Damilare Sonoiki has also been charged with assisting the NFLer in his investments. Sonoiki also wrote for ABC's “black-ish” in 2015 and 2016,

The Feds claim Sonoiki gave Kendricks information about upcoming mergers and acquisitions and Kendricks invested accordingly. Federal prosecutors said that Kendricks made $1.2 million via their arrangement. He reportedly gave Sonoiki $10,000 in cash and perks, including free Eagles tickets.

Shortly after U.S. Attorney William McSwain announced the indictments, Kendricks issued a statement apologizing for his irresponsible actions and that he didn't know all the details, but he "knew it was wrong."

"I would like to apologize," the 27-year-old NFL player said in the statement released via his attorneys. "Four years ago, I participated in insider trading, and I deeply regret it. I invested money with a former friend of mine who I thought I could trust and who I greatly admired. His background as a Harvard graduate and an employee of Goldman Sachs gave me a false sense of confidence."

"To this point, I had worked my tail off since I was 5 years old to become a football player," he continued. "I was drawn in by the allure of being more than just a football player. While I didn't fully understand all of the details of the illegal trades, I knew it was wrong, and I wholeheartedly regret my actions."

He also said he plans to repay all of the funds gained illegally, even though he "hasn't taken any personally."

Both Kendricks and Sonoiki face "substantial prison time" if convicted. CBS Sports writer Cody Benjamin spoke with a legal analyst who predicts Kendricks could spend 8-12 months behind bars:

Spoke with attorney/legal analyst David Weinstein. He estimates #Browns LB Mychal Kendricks is likely to serve 8-12 months in prison for insider trading. Advisory sentence would likely be higher but reduced by split sentence, house arrest, community service, etc.

The Browns issued a brief statement, saying they're aware of the situation and that Kendricks will not travel with the team to Detroit for Thursday night's preseason finale against the Lions:

Apparently, Kendricks was giving Sonoiki free tickets to Eagles games and he also paid for a “a luxury car service to drive Sonoiki approximately 180 miles to attend a event in York, Pennsylvania." Kendricks also invited "Sonoiki to the set of pop star Teyana Taylor’s music video, in which Kendricks made a cameo appearance," according to the indictment.

Kendricks and Sonoiki tried to keep their criminal activity on the low by conversing through Facetime and using code words via text messages:

Amandla Stenberg admits being biracial has given her "privilege" in Hollywood over darker skinned girls. Get into her interview, plus get the deets on Marlon Wayans playing six lead roles in a new Netflix comedy inside...

Amandla Stenberg is a biracial actress who regularly speaks out about racism, social injustices, gender inequality and the like. A few years ago, Black Panther producers hit her up for a role in the film. She agreed to audition for the role of Shuri, but eventually turned it down because she felt a dark skinned actress should play the role.

By the way, Letitia Wright ended up killing the role!

In her cover story for Variety's Power Of Young Hollywood issue, the 19-year-old actress admits Hollywood gives biracial actresses like herself, along with Zendaya and Yara Shahidi, privilege over darker skinned actresses. It's no secret anytime there's a spot for a lead black role, a lighter skinned actress is usually casted.

In a sense, lighter skinned actress are seemingly more "accepted" by an white audience because, let's face it, America is still racist AF.

"Me and Yara and Zendaya are perceived in the same way because we are lighter skinned brown girls," The Hate U Give actress told Variety. "We fill this interesting space of being accessible to Hollywood and accessible to white people in a way that darker skinned girls are not."

Amandla (above attending Variety's annual Power of Young Hollywood party) said she knows this is how the industry works, but she's looking to see a shift in how Hollywood shares stories on the big screen.

“I’ve been acting since I was a very little kid, so I have been aware of how the industry works,” she said.

“We’re at a turning point, but we have by no means fixed the misogyny of Hollywood or white patriarchy. But in terms of how we diversify our sets and diversify our on-screen narratives, I definitely think it’s a great time of change.”

We'd have to agree. A shift is definitely happening, but it's definitely not near where it should be.

The actress is about to hit the silver screen in a new drama titled, The Hate U Give, based on the 2017 best-seller about the Black Lives Matter movement. She'll play young teen Starr Carter, the ambitious heroine who witnesses a case of police brutality. As the film progresses, Starr must decide if it’s worth sacrificing her family’s safety to speak the truth and commit her life to activism.

“It’s portraying a really rich and deep black contemporary experience,” she said.

Again, why didn't Hollywood cast a non-biracial actress for this role? No shade to Amandla, but where do young, black girls fit into Hollywood? The Hate U Give will hit theaters October 19th. In the meantime, you can read her full interview here.

In movie news...

Marlon Wayans is returning to Netflix with another comedy. And this time, he'll be playing six lead roles in a new movie titled, Sextuplets. Lordt. Sounds like he's doing Eddie Murphy in The Nutty Professor. The comedian will be reuniting with his "Marlon" co-star Bresha Webb and it's expected to hit the streaming platform next year. Production starts next month in Atlanta.

Deadline gives a synopsis:

Written by Mike Glock, Rick Alvarez and Wayans, Sextuplets tells the story of Alan (Wayans), a man embarking on a personal journey to meet his birth mother before the arrival of his first child. When Alan meets his brother, Russell, he discovers that he was born a sextuplet and decides to seek out his four other siblings (all played by Wayans). Together, the two brothers set out on a road trip to track down the rest of the family that they’ve never known, and Alan quickly realizes he may have gotten more than he bargained for.

In a statement, Marlon praised Netflix for their diversity:

“Excited to be in business with Netflix on yet another project. I love how they embrace comedy and diversity. I am looking forward to doing the thing I love most… comedy," he said.

In case you missed it, he also fronted a stand-up special titled, "Marlon Wayans: Woke-ish" and starred in a comedy titled "Naked" on Netflix.
