 photo carl1.png

Does Evelyn Lozada's ex-fiance Carl Crawford have a new chick? We're not totally convinced, however, we all know how these business relationships can go sometimes. More inside...

Life after Evelyn Lozada isn't looking bad at all for Carl Crawford. He seems to have found himself a hustle two years after leaving Major League Baseball.

Now, he has his own record label, 1501 Certified Ent, that he runs in Houston. He has been seemingly grooming an up-and-coming female rapper named Megan Thee Stallion.

The Houston raptress is posted all over the record label's Instagram account with clips of her shows, having fun in the club (with Carl) and more. He posts some of his other artists as well, but it's clear who the main attraction is. You can listen to a few of her tracks here.

Look at Houston rapper Slim Thug, who has been catching heating for his ridiculous comments about Ciara & Russell Wilson, all up in the mix.

Not only does he assist in her career, it seems he may possibly be assisting in other areas of her life as well. There are rumors that she's his new chick, but it may only be "business" (at least for now) between these two. While he's helping her take off in the music industry, he may be helping her with a few other things as well.

 photo carl2.png

They recently went on a shopping spree at the Gucci store.  Of course.

Mmhmm...

And she recently gave him a Happy Birthday shoutout on her Instagram:

Again, it could just be business, but we wouldn't be surprised if something else were to come from this business situation.

Meanwhile...

His ex-fiancee Evelyn is glowing and shining on the 'Gram.

 photo renapost1.png

When it comes to pregnancy and postpartum, Serena Williams reminds us that she's just like every other mom. Go inside for her extra candid confession...

This hasn't been a good week for Serena Williams.

The tennis star suffered a huge loss last week when she was defeated by British player Johanna Konta during the San Jose's Silicon Valley Classic. She then withdrew from this week's Rogers Cup in Montreal, citing personal reasons.

Based on her latest beautifully transparent post, the reason is Postpartum related.

On Instagram, the 23-time Grand Slam champion revealed she's struggling with "postpartum emotions" nearly a year after giving birth to her baby girl Alexis Olympia.

“Last week was not easy for me. Not only was I accepting some tough personal stuff, but I just was in a funk. Mostly, I felt like I was not a good mom,” the 36-year-old captioned on Instagram.

She said she spoke with her mom, sisters and friends about her feelings and they all let her know that her feelings are normal. A lot of moms go through it. She said even though she has been with her daughter every day since she has been born, she still felt like she hasn't been a good enough mom.

“It’s totally normal to feel like I’m not doing enough for my baby,” she explained. “We have all been there. I work a lot, I train, and I’m trying to be the best athlete I can be.”

The four-time Olympic gold medalist, who almost died after giving birth due to complications after undergoing a c-section, reminded mothers everywhere they are the REAL MVPs and that she suffers through the same emotions.

“You are the true heroes,” she said. “I’m here to say: if you are having a rough day or week ― it’s ok ― I am, too!!! There’s always tomm!”

By the way, Baby Olympia turns 1 on September 1st.

Check it:

Malia Obama was spotted all boo'd up with her boyfriend Rory Farquharson in London. Peep their coupldem shots and get more deets about her British BAE inside...

School is out for and Malia Obama is out in these streets living it up on summer break.

In newly surfaced pics, the 20-year-old Harvard student was seen packing on the PDA with her British BAE Rory Farquharson while in London last month. And she's seemingly all wrapped up in love.

The couple was walking through an underground station when they stopped for a quick make out session:

They were reportedly heading to The Bridge Theater to see Alan Bennett's new production "Allelujah!" Photogs say she puffed on a vape as they left the theater before taking a romantic stroll over the capital's Tower Bridge (atop).

The former First Daughter met Rory at Harvard University. We first spotted him kissing Malia during a Harvard-Yale football game in November 2017. According to the Daily Mail, Rory used to be the head boy of Rugby School, one of the top public schools in the UK. And he may be well off as one year of tuition, along with room and board, is well over $42,500 a year. Sheesh.

Check out more pictures of the couple here.

It's also reported that Rory has ties with the royals as his 2nd cousin was the Queen's Assistant Master of the Household at Buckingham Palace. After having over across the pond with her British BAE, Malia has returned to the States. She was spotted rocking a black lace bra underneath black overalls in NYC last week:

The twosome were back in NYC this weekend spotted grabbing dinner with friends.  Get your life Malia!

Aint nothing to a real one.  And Beyoncé is just that for her perfect essay in Vogue that might be the most relateable & necessary thing every 30-something YBF chick needs RIGHT NOW.

Beyoncé is sharing it all. She's at the point in her life where she's learned some lessons, and she's starting to apply them unapologetically.  While Beysus may be the queen of all queens to most of us, with never even a piece of a hair weave track or wiggery out of place even while slaying an entire stadium, she revealed she's been going through some ish.  Yessss Bey, you know we feel you.

The sexy, apologetically thick mama of 3's MILF confidence didn't come easy, even though it surely seems it did.  Chick has a world of resources at her fingertips, why wouldn't it?  But she just reminded us that being a black woman means suffering & surviving through some sh*t no matter how much money and fame your black woman self has.  She gets it.  And us.

In her historic and iconic (we don't care who says otherwise, fight us) September 2018 VOGUE magazine story, the "Boss" chick preached a whole sermon. We've never read something more relatable from a woman of color on a super mainstream platform.

While she was given unprecedented control over her entire shoot and story, y'all know that doesn't mean she was going to suddenly give us an interview (something she hasn't done in YEARS).  She, once again, gave us a update on her life as a grown ass mother, wife and responsible icon, in her own words.

No, she's not pregnant.  Biology and organ shifting affects Beyonce, too. Let her live.  Yes, she's intentionally lifting as she climbs and putting black creatives in the spotlight.  Yes, that's her own hair in this spread and many times on the OTRII stage.  And yes, she grew up with a family dynamic that damn near ruined her own relationship.

Our fave sticky-note, Facebook post, IG caption worthy parts that damn near had us in tears are words to live by, for sure.

On embracing her post-babies body after her c-section and labor trauma:

I was 218 pounds the day I gave birth to Rumi and Sir. I was swollen from toxemia and had been on bed rest for over a month. My health and my babies’ health were in danger, so I had an emergency C-section. We spent many weeks in the NICU. My husband was a soldier and such a strong support system for me. I am proud to have been a witness to his strength and evolution as a man, a best friend, and a father. I was in survival mode and did not grasp it all until months later. Today I have a connection to any parent who has been through such an experience. After the C-section, my core felt different. It had been major surgery. Some of your organs are shifted temporarily, and in rare cases, removed temporarily during delivery. I am not sure everyone understands that. I needed time to heal, to recover. During my recovery, I gave myself self-love and self-care, and I embraced being curvier. I accepted what my body wanted to be.

On embracing her body and being one with her FUPA

After six months, I started preparing for Coachella. I became vegan temporarily, gave up coffee, alcohol, and all fruit drinks. But I was patient with myself and enjoyed my fuller curves. My kids and husband did, too.

I think it’s important for women and men to see and appreciate the beauty in their natural bodies. That’s why I stripped away the wigs and hair extensions and used little makeup for this shoot.

To this day my arms, shoulders, breasts, and thighs are fuller. I have a little mommy pouch, and I’m in no rush to get rid of it. I think it’s real. Whenever I’m ready to get a six-pack, I will go into beast zone and work my ass off until I have it. But right now, my little FUPA and I feel like we are meant to be.

On showing the world that they, too, can find and hire black creatives for their own good.

When I first started, 21 years ago, I was told that it was hard for me to get onto covers of magazines because black people did not sell. Clearly that has been proven a myth. Not only is an African American on the cover of the most important month for Vogue, this is the first ever Vogue cover shot by an African American photographer.

It’s important to me that I help open doors for younger artists. There are so many cultural and societal barriers to entry that I like to do what I can to level the playing field, to present a different point of view for people who may feel like their voices don’t matter.

...

If people in powerful positions continue to hire and cast only people who look like them, sound like them, come from the same neighborhoods they grew up in, they will never have a greater understanding of experiences different from their own. They will hire the same models, curate the same art, cast the same actors over and over again, and we will all lose.

On ending her broken relationship family cycle

I come from a lineage of broken male-female relationships, abuse of power, and mistrust. Only when I saw that clearly was I able to resolve those conflicts in my own relationship. Connecting to the past and knowing our history makes us both bruised and beautiful.

I researched my ancestry recently and learned that I come from a slave owner who fell in love with and married a slave. I had to process that revelation over time. I questioned what it meant and tried to put it into perspective. I now believe it’s why God blessed me with my twins. Male and female energy was able to coexist and grow in my blood for the first time. I pray that I am able to break the generational curses in my family and that my children will have less complicated lives.

On bossing up and flourishing in her womanhood glow-up

There are many shades on every journey. Nothing is black or white. I’ve been through hell and back, and I’m grateful for every scar. I have experienced betrayals and heartbreaks in many forms. I have had disappointments in business partnerships as well as personal ones, and they all left me feeling neglected, lost, and vulnerable. Through it all I have learned to laugh and cry and grow. I look at the woman I was in my 20s and I see a young lady growing into confidence but intent on pleasing everyone around her. I now feel so much more beautiful, so much sexier, so much more interesting. And so much more powerful.

On singing the black national anthem at Coachella

One day I was randomly singing the black national anthem to Rumi while putting her to sleep. I started humming it to her every day. In the show at the time I was working on a version of the anthem with these dark minor chords and stomps and belts and screams. After a few days of humming the anthem, I realized I had the melody wrong. I was singing the wrong anthem. One of the most rewarding parts of the show was making that change. I swear I felt pure joy shining down on us. I know that most of the young people on the stage and in the audience did not know the history of the black national anthem before Coachella. But they understood the feeling it gave them.

It was a celebration of all the people who sacrificed more than we could ever imagine, who moved the world forward so that it could welcome a woman of color to headline such a festival.

On raising a black son as a black mother

I want him to know that he can be strong and brave but that he can also be sensitive and kind. I want my son to have a high emotional IQ where he is free to be caring, truthful, and honest. It’s everything a woman wants in a man, and yet we don’t teach it to our boys.

I hope to teach my son not to fall victim to what the internet says he should be or how he should love. I want to create better representations for him so he is allowed to reach his full potential as a man, and to teach him that the real magic he possesses in the world is the power to affirm his own existence.

You can read her full essay over at VOGUE, as told to fellow YBF chick and journalist Clover Hope.  And swipe through the gallery for the rest of Beyoncé's stripped down fashion spread, shot by the first black photographer to shoot a VOGUE cover, Tyler Mitchell.  All black creatives, and it's perfect as ever.

 photo solangevanityfair.png

After Beyonce broke the internet with her VOGUE September 2018 cover, her mother Tina Knowles Lawson is serving up a few tidbits about her art collection in Vanity Fair.

Both of her daughters, Beyonce & Solange, are big art lovers. And now we know why. Their mother is obsessed with black art and she made sure to introduce them to it at an early age growing up in Houston.

“When my kids were growing up, it was really important to me that they saw images of African-Americans,” Tina said. “I’m so happy that I did, because both of them are really aware of their culture, and I think a lot of that had to do with looking at those images every day, those strong images.”

Tina, above in her living room with Kimberly Drew, the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s social-media manager, has an extraordinary collection that includes works by artists ranging from Elizabeth Catlett, Romare Bearden, and Henry Ossawa Tanner—the turn-of-the-century African-American ex-pat who garnered huge success after moving to Paris—to more contemporary works by Toyin Ojih Odutola, Kenyatta A. C. Hinkle, and Lawson’s own niece Dominique Beyoncé.

“I love collecting and knowing the history of the artist,” says Lawson, who has always seen her relationship to art as more spiritual than material. In front of a painting by Kermit Oliver, she delivers an impromptu trivia session on the Texan mixed-media artist: he’s the only American in history who designed scarves for Hermès, yet he nevertheless chose to work as a mail sorter at a Waco post office. “It kept him normal,” she explained.

The NYC rapper and his baby's mother are currently bringing sand to the beach in the Dominican Republic on what looks like a BAEcation. Last year, he was bashing her on social media as a "deadbeat" mom after she dragged him on social media. Now, they're back on good terms after reconciling earlier this year. Good for them. Oh a a difference a year and some coins make.

We know their daughter Kiari is loving it.  See the coupledom things they're up to above.

Mara Brock Akil been on the woman asking a man for his hand in marriage wave. Get the deets on her proposal to husband Salim Akil, plus deets on former "Cosby" star Joseph C. Phillips' wife ending their 20+ year marriage inside...

Over the past few years or so, it seems more women are dropping down on one knee and asking their man's hand in marriage. It may have been going on back in the day, but we didn't see/hear about it as much. But now, with social media, it seems there's a new trend where women are the ones taking the first step in securing a married life.

While some women claim they would NEVER ask a man to marry them, there are some women who don't mind going after what they want. And "Love Is __" showrunner Marak Brock Akil is one of them.

In the new OWN series "Love Is __," the Mara Brock Akil and her husband Salim Akil (who is an executive producer of the show) are letting viewers in on their love story that started over 20 years ago. While there are situations they've added to the show to make it more interesting, there are A LOT of things that happen between their characters, Nuri & Yasir, that happened in real life. Like that time Mara asked Salim to marry her! In fact, she asked him after only dating for 3 months.

"It's 90% truthful and 70% factual," Mara dished to the LA Times. "The essence is true and the facts are manipulated. Because, at the end of the day, we have to tell a story. And as unique and wonderful as our story is, it could get boring if you go literal."

On the show, we see Yasir chasing after Nuri, but eventually the tables turn.

"[Though] I can't wait to get to the episode where I propose to him, because I did."

Oh?

If you're wondering why Mara decided to pop the question...

"Love is achievable," Mara said. "Everything you want is achievable if you define it and design it for yourself based upon your values and what's important to you. And that's how Salim and I have done it, in both career and family."

Salim Akil, showrunner of the CW’s “Black Lightning," added,

“It’s ‘inspired by.’ That is the best way to say it. Clearly, they’re not us. Clearly, there’s actors involved and there’s writing. It is a television show. Because it could’ve been like that, but it wasn’t.”

Yeah...nah.  Peep a clip of Salim talking about Mara popping the question below:

Ladies, would you ever consider asking your man to marry you?

In breakup news...

 photo cosbystardivorce2.png

After 23 years of marriage, former "Cosby" star Joseph C. Phillips (who has been moonlighting as a "black conservative" talking head) is going down Splitsville Lane.

According to The Blast, the wife of the "13 Reasons Why" star filed for divorce on July 19, citing irreconcilable differences. Apparently, they've been separated since last November. Damn.

Below is the tea on the break up:

Phillips — who played Lt. Martin Kendall, husband of Lisa Bonet‘s Denise Huxtable — had been married to Nicole since 1994. The couple has three sons: Connor, Ellis, and Samuel.

Nicole is seeking joint custody of Samuel (he is the only one of the three children that is a minor) and is asking the court to not allow Joseph to be awarded spousal support.

Hmm...she's asking the court to not allow Joseph to be awarded spousal support? Bloop! Hey, there's THAT trend too.

Fatman Scoop gives the inside scoop on how the "Level Up" remix, also featuring Missy Elliot, came about. And Ciara's hubby Russell Wilson offered up his own edits that actually made the cut. More inside...

Now this is the story all about how the "Level Up" remix came about.

CiCi reunited with Fatman Scoop and Missy Elliott for the remix of her new dance track that's taking over the airwaves and social media with the #LevelUpChallenge. The last time these three artists were on a track was on CiCi's 2005 hit "Lose Control." Missy also collaborated with Ciara on "1,2 Step" and "Work."

Fatman Scoop hopped on Instagram to share the "process" of how the "Level Up" remix came about. He said the mom-of-two hit him up about 4 months ago to hop on a new track she was working on. The producer was scheduled to go to London in two days, but he dropped everything and hopped on a flight to Seattle to record the track. He linked up with Ciara inside a studio owned by Microsoft co-owner Paul Allen:

A MUST READ!!!! THE STORY BEHIND THE LEVEL UP RMXI The "process" behind the Level Up Remix. About 4 Months Ago, I get a random call from a 404 number. Since NO ONE ever calls me from Georgia (i don't know why) I didn't pick it up right away. I get a text like two minutes later like "pick up fool!!! Its Ciara" So I pick up the call and Cici is on the other line like I need you to come to Seattle to get on this song. She sends me a 15 second clip, so I can have a idea of the song. I have to go to London in 2 days, so I get up fly out there, sleep for 3 hours and then go to the studio. Now this isn't just ANY studio, this is the studio of the dude who is the co owner of MICROSOFT Paul Allen. Tomorrow, Ill tell you what happened, how it was and what happened when her HUSBAND Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks showed up.....

A post shared by Fatman Scoop (@fatmanscoop) on

Once he got there, he started recording his adlibs when the "Level Up" singer's husband/Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson paid a visit. Not only did he come in to hear what they were cooking up, he also offered up some suggestions to make the song better.

"I start to do my parts (in this video) and Russell Wilson from the Seahawks comes in," Fatman Scoop recalled. "So he is listening to it and says, why don't you say this?' So I asked him, 'do you see me coming into the huddle and telling you what to do at your job?' The room starts laughing so loud. But what he said DID MAKE SENSE!!!

Ha!

"So you know what? I went in there and said it! Credit Russell Wilson as a WRITER on the remix!"

Check it:

A MUST READ - PART 2 The "Process" of the Level Up Remix So I am writing my parts, me and Ciara just getting up on old times talking about Lose Control, Relationships and Marriage. Anyone who knows me from my days of doing my sex and relationship show on MTV knows I'm a fucking MANIAC when it comes to that stuff so we started talking about marriage and stuff and 2 hours just blew by with us just laughing and talking shit. I start to do my parts (in this video) and Russell Wilson from the Seahawks comes in. So he is listening to it and says, "why don't you say this?" So I asked him, "do you see me coming into the huddle and telling you what to do at your job?" The room starts laughing so loud. But what he said DID MAKE SENSE!!! So you know what? I went in there and said it! Credit Russell Wilson as a WRITER on the remix! Ciara LOVES and TRUSTS that man. Even with her music. Me and Russell then started talking about the finer points of YELLING. Me on stage and him in a HUDDLE when 60,000 people don't want your team to hear the play. I gave him some pointers being the loudest guy in the room (he was a close 2nd....) I wanted him to throw me a pass the way he would throw it to a real receiver but he said it would probably break one of my fingers, so i said FUCK that....and kept ti moving. Tomorrow Ill show you the RESULTS of our work!

Y'all, grab a seat and  mug because D.L. Hughley and his wife LaDonna Hughley are about to blow your mind. Get the deets on his wife financially taking care of a woman who had his baby (outside of his marriage) that eventually died inside...

This story literally feels like a page out of a fiction drama or something we would see on Lee Daniels' "Empire." It's shocking AF.

D.L. Hughley's wife takes the term "ride or die" to a whole new level.

The comedian recently sat down with VLAD TV where he got real candid about his childhood. In the interview, he revealed several things about his past, like how he lost his virginity to a 20-something-year-old at the age of 13, how his mother mistreated him, and more shocking details about his 30+ year marriage to his wife LaDonna Hughley.

 photo DLHughleywife.png

Years ago, the comedian opened up about cheating on his wife . It's no secret he was a habitual cheater. He even revealed one affair produced a baby while he was still married to his wife. D.L. tried to keep the baby news on the down low until he was ready to tell his wife and kids, but life sped up the process. And quick!

D.L. said his 9-month-old baby was killed by his mistress' boyfriend. He said he had prayed to God, asking him to "take this off me." And then instantly, "my prayer was answered in the worse possible way," he said.

However, after the baby died, he STILL didn't tell his wife about it. It wasn't until years later. He couldn't stand the guilt, so he eventually told her about the baby he had behind her back. Then after that, the mistress came back saying she needed money.

"Years later, the girl - it jammed her up too like it did me," he explained. "She started asking for money. She needed some money. And I told her my wife would have to take care of it. Because I couldn’t."

So he put the aftermath of his f*** up on his wife.

"So, she and my wife started talking and my wife started giving her money," he continued. "The condition was that she could never ask me and my wife to take care of her, so my wife took it from my allowance that I’ve never gotten back." Allowance? Hmm...maybe she handles all of his finances. D.L. confessed he doesn't know if his wife is still giving his former mistress money because he can't do that either apparently. "So I don’t know if she’s still giving it to her or not. But I know that I don’t get that money anymore. And I can’t go, ‘Are you still?..” I can’t do that," he shared.

D.L. shared that one day he was getting off an airplane when he saw that his wife AND the mistress was there. He then explained that the woman was the mother of the child that died and he said his wife told her, "Sorry for your loss."

In case you were wondering, the mistress' boyfriend - who allegedly killed the baby - did end up serving jail time, but he's out now. D.L. said he felt the man who killed his child didn't get enough time in prison for his crime. He said he felt like someone robbed him of something.

"Every time something good happens to me, I think about it," he said.

Nicki Minaj may not want to say anything about her brother's rape case, but her mom, Carol Maraj, sure is. Deets on her tell-all interview, plus check out the City Girls' new "Period" video and the trailer to their upcoming documentary inside...

Nicki Minaj has been radio silent about brother Jelani Maraj's rape case. In November, the 38-year-old brother to the Young Money rapper was found GUILTY of sexually assaulting his former stepdaughter (who was 11 or 12-years-old at the time) in his Baldwin home.

The "Chun-Li" rapper hasn't spoke about the case publicly, however, she did go visit him in jail shortly after he was convicted. In December 2015, Nicki posted Jelani's $100,000 bond, but she never took the stand to testify on her brother's behalf. Her mother did though.

The guilty charges carry the potential for 25 years to life in prison.

Now, Nicki's mother Carol Maraj is seemingly gearing up to tell everyone what really went down behind-the-scenes. She hopped on Twitter to announce she's giving an interview about the case to spill deets "they don't want you to know." Check it:

Looks like folks can tune in via YouTube on Saturday, August 11th at 12pm. And she listed a few other dates and times to see the interview. Did the QUEEN approve of this?

What's interesting is that her mother decides to speak now as Nicki rolls out her QUEEN album. As you know, she pushed it back for a third time and it will be released to the masses on August 17th. It was supposed to drop August 10th after it was delayed from a July 29th date.

Hmm...we don't see this interview helping Nicki.  At all.

By the way, the Queens chick is about to launch her own radio show via Apple Music called "Queens Radio." Below are the deets:

We know folks would love for her to address this interview her mother is scheduling to do, but we doubt she will. Will you be tuned in tomorrow?

JT isn't the only one dealing with legal issues. Yung Miami has accused her baby daddy of violating a court order by harrassing, stalking and threatening her. Yikes!

The Blast reports:

Yung Miami says Jai Wiggins has been calling her on the phone and making threats over social media, allegedly threatening to snatch her hair extensions out of her head.

The former couple has a tumultuous history, that includes allegations of domestic violence. Going back to 2015, Yung Miami detailed multiple instances where Wiggins allegedly punched and yelled obscenities at her. In one case, she claims he ripped her wig off of her head during a tirade.

The last, and possibly most violent incident happened in October 2015 when Wiggins allegedly pulled Yung Miami out of a car and repeatedly punched her in the face and head. Police were called during that fight and the rapper claims she was transported to a hospital for facial injuries, which included a contusion to her eye and cuts to her lips and face.

The hip-hop star was eventually granted a longterm protective order against Wiggins, which required him to stay 500 yds away from the rapper, as well as attend a program on domestic violence prevention.

The City Girls star was also awarded sole custody of the couple’s son. Wiggins has not been able to take care of his obligations, however, and was just accused of violating the court order by failing to complete his domestic violence and parenting programs, as well as skipping out on paying his required fines.

He’ll be required to show up to a future hearing and explain the possible violations.

Sheesh! We'll likely see her address this on the documentary as well.

When the nonstop thirst traps on IG ain't working.

Houston Texans baller DeAndre Hopkins and Iggy Azalea are playing games right now. PR stunt or nah?  Deets inside...

 photo iggyman.png

Iggy Azalea has been busy on Instagram lately posting up thirst trap after thirst trap likely in an effort to nab a new baller fan or two. And it seemed to have worked because a few days ago the Australian rapper was dishing on the radio that she and Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins were in a relationship.

While playing a game on Y100Miami, she was asked if she preferred the Houston Texans or the Miami Dolphins. She picked Texans. Then, the radio host asked her if she was dating Texans baller DeAndre Hopkins and she responded, "Yeah, we're in a relationship."

Take a listen below:

A post shared by Y100miami (@y100miami) on

A few days before her interview, DeAndre himself confirmed they were indeed in a relationship. He posted a picture of himself on the football field with the caption,"My Aussies call me legend.” The Australian rapper hopped in his comments section and responded, "I could think of a few other things to call you.”

Then, a fan straight up asked DeAndre if he was Iggy's boyfriend and he said YES. Peep the receipts (via Sports Gossip):

Hmph.

Now -- all of a sudden -- they're both claiming they are single. This morning, DeAndre posted this on his IG stories:

Iggy stays playing herself. Maybe she should lay off trying to get with athletes. It's been two years since calling off her engagement to NBA player Nick Young and she's still doing the most. Girl, get your life.

Oh, and this could just all be a PR stunt. She recently released a new EP titled Survive The Summer, so there's that.

A woman Ludacris helped out in the grocery store is working on "paying him back."

Of course, the rapper doesn't need anything financially, but she's doing her part to help someone else like he helped her.

The Atlanta woman - Therra Jaramillo - fell on hard times after her husband died of brain cancer. She was having a hard time paying bills and providing for herself (and her rescue dogs), so a friend gave her a gift card to Whole Foods to pick up some groceries. When it was time to pay, she didnt have enough.

The rapper was standing behind her in line and decided to front her $375 grocery bill.

"He turned to me and he said, 'I said I got this.' And I looked at him, and he said, 'All of this, don't put anything back.'," she shared.

She didn't have a clue who he was until the cashier tipped her off that Luda was a famous rapper.

Therra knows the rapper doesn't want the money back, but she decided to show her appreciation by supporting his foundation. She started a fundrasier on her Facebook account to get people to donate in her honor. As of the time of this post, she has raised $1,175!

Chris Paul just made the biggest donation ever to his alma mater Wake Forest University's athletic department. Meanwhile, LeBron James is singing praises to the highest of heavens caping for black women like never before. Everything inside...

LeBron James and Kevin Hart aren't the only ones pouring back into their communities.

Throughout the years, NBA player Chris Paul has always been one to give back. And his most recent donation just went down in Wake Forest University's history.

The Houston Rockets point guard is donating $2.5 million to Wake Forest Basketball, making it the largest donation ever by a former basketball student, athlete or any alumnus under the age of 35.

The 33-year-old North Carolina native's gift will help transform the men’s and women’s basketball clubhouses with expanded and enhanced locker rooms, nutrition resources and treatment areas. The new Chris Paul Locker Room for the men’s team will be named in his honor

 photo chrispauldonate2.png

“Giving back has always been important to my family and me, and Wake Forest is part of my family,” the father of-two said of his most recent gift to support the Wake Will Lead campaign.

“The recent investments towards improving Wake Forest Athletics are amazing, and now is the time to give back in a meaningful way. The locker room transformation project inspired me, because that’s where players build relationships and create a unifying camaraderie that is the foundation of success on the court. Forming lifelong friendships with your teammates is one of the most rewarding aspects of sports,” he said.

Paul and Wake Forest Director of Athletics Ron Wellman teamed up to make the announcement at the Chris Paul Family Foundation Charity Golf Classic in Winston-Salem (above) before a crowd that included nearly two dozen former Wake Forest basketball student-athletes and coaches.

His philanthropic impact on the Winston-Salem area also includes an endowment for scholarships at Wake Forest. In 2007, Paul established the Nathaniel Jones Student Scholarship in memory of his grandfather and mentor, which awards two scholarships (one athletic and one academic) annually to deserving students, with a preference for those from Forsyth County.

In 2013, Wake Forest retired Paul's No. 3 jersey, which now hangs in the rafters of Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

NICE!

Issa Rae Was Almost A Lyft Driver, But She Got DENIED + There's Nothing 'Insecure' About Her Stunning EBONY Mag Cover

 photo BlueIssy1.jpg

Issa Rae was almost a Lyft driver, but they pumped the breaks on that. Find out why she never got behind as a Lyft driver, plus check out her stunning cover and spread for EBONY magazine inside...

Before Issa Rae's "Insecure" series blew up, the show's creator was trying to get some extra coins by being a Lyft driver. Yes, even AFTER the first season of "Insecure" had already debuted.

Just two years ago before all of the "Insecure" fame and accolades, the two-time Golden Globe nominated actress tried her hand as a part-time Lyft driver.

“I rented a car to write the first episodes [of the second season of the show] in December, and the rental car that I had, I drove it all the way to Malibu,” Issa told Page Six.

“I bought a full tank [of gas] but I didn’t use it. So I thought, ‘I’m not returning this car with all this gas. I paid for it — I’m just going to lose money.’ ”

While her hit HBO series was gaining momentum in the media, she still was regular ol' Issa - a chick who wasn't about to let a full tank of gas go to waste. And we're not mad. So, before she returned the rental, she thought she could make some quick cash by driving folks around. But, Lyft said NOPE!

“So I filled out the application. I got the sticker [to go on her car from Lyft] and then I got denied because I had some stupid traffic violation in 2014.”

Bloop!

It still worked in her favor though. She told the "Insecure" writers about the experience and it became inspiration for the series.

“I told the writers how I tried to do that and they found it hilarious. And they asked, ‘What if people recognized you?’ But I wasn’t even thinking about that, because Season 2 [of ‘Insecure’] didn’t even come out yet. And it was in Malibu so I thought that I would be OK.”

She added, “There are so many creative people using ride sharing as a means to make some additional income, and Issa definitely needed that extra income.”

Imagine grabbing a Lyft and Issa is driving! Ha!

While you won't see the 33-year-old actor/writer driving for Lyft these days, if you're NYC, you may catch a glimpse of her out in the streets while on the promo trail for season 3:

 photo kanyekimmel.png

Kanye West made an appearance on late night television last night and nothing was off limits. As expected, he talked about his infatuation with Trump, shared his porn preference (shocker) and he also talked about embracing his bipolar disorder. Get it all inside...

Kanye West has everyone talking about his late night interview on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" because, well, he's 'Ye all day.

The 41-year-old rapper covered a wide range of topics in his 20-minute interview with the late night TV host, including his love for Trump, his porn preference, bipolar disorder, fashion (duh) and many other topics.

And he was cocky as ever, per usual. At point during the interview he asked the audience to hold their applause because "everything I'm gonna say is gonna be amazing." Sighs...

 photo kanyekimmel2.png

Based on what he was saying about why he chose to support 45, it sounds like he is just trying to go against what everyone else is doing. He shared everyone around him was telling him he shouldn't support Trump, but he didn't care. He wasn't going to let anyone "bully" him into thinking he had to dislike Trump. And he said it took a over a year to get up the courage to wear that "Make America Great Again" hat, but he did it and didn't care what the consequences were.

“As a musician, an African American guy on Hollywood, all these different things, everyone around me tried to pick my candidate for me,” the PABLO rapper said. “And they told me every time I said I liked Trump I couldn’t say it out loud or my career would be over, I’d get kicked out of the black community because blacks are only supposed to have a monolithic thought, we can only be Democrats.”

“I said it right before I went to the hospital and when I came out I had lost my confidence. The confidence to take on the world and the possible backlash. It took me a year and a half to have the confidence to stand up and put on the hat no matter what the consequences were,” he said in reference to the MAGA hat.

He added, “What it represented to me was not about policies — it represented overcoming fear and doing what you felt no matter what anybody said. You can’t bully me, liberals can’t bully me, the news can’t bully me because at that point if I’m afraid I’m no longer Ye. I actually quite enjoy when people are mad at me about certain things.”

Jimmy then brought up about how 'Ye was quick to call out George Bush for not liking black people, a comment he made at a 2005 benefit for Hurricane Katrina relief. Then he asked, "What makes you think that Donald Trump does or any people at all?"

Yeezy stared off into space with a long pause before Jimmy took it to commercial.

Check it:

Kimmel asked 'Ye if his attitude towards women have changed since having daughters, North& Chicago West. Nope.

“Nah, I still look at PornHub,” he revealed. “Black on white, obviously,” he continued.

No surprise there. He married a white porn star and worships that aesthetic so, makes sense.

Then, there's a joke about double masturbation. Whew, chile. Peep the clip below at the 1:50 mark:

The Grammy Award winner also opened up about embracing his bipolar disorder. At the age of 5, Ye said he had a blackout episode. However, his mother, Donda West, never fully medicated him and he's thankful for that because, "I might have never been 'Ye."

For his interview last night, he said he wanted to be in a calm state. However, during his infamous "400 years of slavery was a choice" TMZ interview, he revealed he was "ramped up" state and said it was "awesome" that people got to see him in that state.

"It's [Bipolar disorder] not an opposite. It drives more of how you really feel. So I think it's important for us to have open conversations about mental health especially with me being black because we never had therapists in the black community, we never approach taking medication."

He said people need to be able to freely express themselves without fear of judgement.

Dave Chappelle made his way to Spike Lee's BlacKKKlansman LA premiere where Yara Shahidi and Kelly Rowland shut the red carpet down. Corey Hawkins and his BlacKKKlansman co-stars were also in the mix. Flicks inside...

 photo EC1_8373.jpg

Before Spike Lee& Jordan Peele's BlacKKKlansman film takes over the box office this weekend, the cast, crew and other celebrities made their way inside the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills for the LA premiere of the film.

 photo EC1_8312.jpg

While Dave Chappelle isn't in the movie, he came out to support his homie Spike Lee, who directs the film. If you watched "Chappelle's Show," then you may remember a sketch he did where there's a blind black man who's the leader of the KKK group. It all ties in with the movie, as it's based on a true story about an African-American detective (John David Washington, "Ballers") and his Jewish partner (Adam Driver) who team up for an undercover mission to infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan in 1979.

 photo PremiereFocusFeaturesBlacKkKlansmanReden7AkrtO2j9l.jpg

It's set in the 70s, but it's quite timely for everything that's currently going on in America.

 photo EC1_8092.jpg

It's reported there will be a lot of digs at Trump throughout the film and we can't wait to see them. In one scene, a KKK member talks about embracing an “America first” policy. The film draws comparisons to Trump and and former Grand Wizard David Duke (Topher Grace, "That 70s Show"). The ending scene also features real footage from the Alt-Right (deadly) protest that went down in Charlottesville in August 2017 that Spike said"ties the entire movie together in the most profound and emotionally effective way."

BlacKKKlansman has also been receiving rave reviews online, which makes us even more anxious to see it.

Back on the carpet...

Nicki Minaj rounded up all her female celeb friends (or her camp did) to debut her Queen Radio show on Apple Music hours before releasing her fourth studio album QUEEN...early. On one track, the Young Money rapper goes the f*** off on the industry and folks are losing it. Everything inside....

Finally, Nicki Minaj has released QUEEN after several announcements that her fourth studio album would be pushed back.

It was originally supposed to drop June 29th, then it got pushed to August 10th. A few days ago, she hopped on Instagram to announce QUEEN was dropping August 17th. However, last night she revealed she was going to drop it on its 2nd original date, August 10th. Whew! So yeah, it's finally here.

The third track, "Barbie Dreams," already has her Barbz in a frenzy. Chick went THEEEEE f*** off and had some Biggie inspiration in the background. She sampled the late rapper's "Just Playing (Dreams)" and fired shots at every-damn-body!

The Young Money rapper does down a long list of rappers she has smashed or tried to. We're still not convinced everything she rapped is 100% true, since this is something male rappers do often just to make for good bars, but it definitely makes for a good "diss" track. The 35-year-old rapper didn't hold anything back when referencing her sometimes "boo thing" Drake and her ex-boyfriend Meek Mill.

“Drake worth a hundred milli/always buying me sh*t/ but I don’t know if the p**ssy wet or if he cryin & sh*t /Meek still be in my DMs/I be having to duck him I used to pray for times like this Face a** when I f*ck him.”

Damn! The NYC raptress called out 50 Cent, Fetty Wap, Lil Uzi Vert, Odell Beckham Jr., Desiigner and Young Thug, who "stole her dresses and sh*t." Bloop!

Nicki also called out DJ Khaled for saying he doesn't eat the box.

"I had to cancel DJ Khaled, we ain’t speaking / Ain’t no fat nigga telling me what he ain’t eating."

We DIE! Chick must have been in her Myx Moscato-fueled bag chile.

On "Ganja Burns," fans believe Nicki fired a shot at fellow female rapper Cardi B. Wait, didn't they squash their beef at the Met Gala? Hmph.

"They done went to witch doctors to bury the Barbie/But I double back, kill bitches, bury the Bardi," she rapped.

She's either saying "Bardi" or "body," but it def sounds like Bardi. Fans are going back and forth about it on social media. She probably made it intentionally ambiguous.

QUEEN totes features from Lil Wayne, Eminem, The Weeknd, Ariana Grande AND Foxy Brown.

Pretty girls love rap!

Last night, the Pinkprint rapper debuted her "Queen Radio" show on Apple Music's Beats 1 ahead of the release of her new album. Foxy Brown, one of Nicki's closes female rap friends, called in to the show to chat and revealed she and Nicki wrote the song "Coco Chanel" together.

On the show, Nicki said she finished the project just three hours prior to arriving to the Beats 1 studio.

Outside of celeb phone calls, she ended up with a room full of her celebrity friends. She acted as if the ladies joining her was a surprise, but we doubt that. Her girl gang included, Kelly Rowland, Lauren London, Winnie Harlow, Normani, Justine Skye, Sevyn Streeter, Riley Burruss (Kandi Burruss' daughter), Cassie, Draya, Tami Roman and Kim Kardashian West. Y'all know she likes to prove celebs stan for her.  We get it, we get it.

Rapper Yo Gotti was also in the studio.

The "Chun-Li" rapper said she was going to cry from all of the love shown.

During the show, Nicki said she was one of the first people ever to name her fans, saying only her Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga were doing it when Twitter first started.

"Now everybody names their fans," she said.

Apparently, all of the "hate" Nicki has been receiving has helped catapult her career. while talking to Kim K. about why they get so much hate online (of course), she said the hate made her "super duper popular". Oh.

"There's so much evil on the internet," she said. "Why can't people just chill and laugh? Suck some d*ck or something."

Girl...

PRESEASON BLITZ: NFL Players Are Still Protesting & Trump Is BIG MAD + Cam Newton Confronts Former Teammate Kelvin Benjamin & It Did Not Go Well [VIDEO]

Football is back! And so are the players' national anthem protests. As expected, Trump is mad and he's working his Twitter fingers overtime. Find out what he said, plus see a semi-heated exchange between Cam Newton and his former teammate inside...

Football is bizack!

NFL players took the field for the first night of the preseason last night.  A number of players took a knee or raised their fists during the national anthem, STILL protesting racial inequality. Yes, we all know the NFL doesn't want them to kneel - and especially 45 - but they did it anyway. And we're here for it.

Before the game, the NFL issued a statement that said the new rules about penalizing players for protesting was on hold, however, they "expect" all of the players to stand during "The Star Spangled Banner."

Well the NFL can expect whatever the hell it wants, because the players are going to do what they do.

Super Bowl winning Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins (above) held his fist high in the air before the reigning Super Bowl champs' preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. His teammate/cornerback De'Vante Bausby also raised his fist.

It's reported Eagles defensive end Michael Bennett walked out of the tunnel as the anthem played. Teammate Chris Long reportedly "placed his arm around Jenkins' shoulder" during the song.

Remember when Malcolm Jenkins whipped out those cue cards with a powerful message? If not, click HERE.

Miami Dolphins wide receivers Kenny Stills (above) and Albert Wilson took a knee during the national anthem ahead of their game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Dolphins defensive end Robert Quinn also raised his fist.

As we all know, the national anthem protests started in 2016 by former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick in an effort to bring awareness to police brutality, racial and social injustices. It has never been about disrespecting anyone in the armed forces, especially since so many players have law enforcement and military members in their own families. But that's the narrative "THEY" will want you to believe.  Colin has since been blackballed from the league.

Of course, Trump hopped on Twitter to bash all of the players who decided to take a stand despite all of the controversy. He said everyone who protested should be "suspended without pay."

"The NFL players are at it again - taking a knee when they should be standing proudly for the National Anthem," he tweeted. "Numerous players, from different teams, wanted to show their “outrage” at something that most of them are unable to define. They make a fortune doing what they love......"

In the next tweet he wrote, ".....Be happy, be cool! A football game, that fans are paying soooo much money to watch and enjoy, is no place to protest. Most of that money goes to the players anyway. Find another way to protest. Stand proudly for your National Anthem or be Suspended Without Pay!

Last we checked, football players are not private citizens as it relates to government.  So calling for a private citizen to suffer consequences for not pledging allegience in any way is unconstituitional, fascist and lame.  We're so over this ...person.

Former NFLer Randy Moss posted a racist Instagram message to prove yet again why these men are using their platforms for the greater good:

In other NFL preseason news...

A heated exchange went down between Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and his former teammate Kelvin Benjamin (who now plays for the Buffalo Bills) before they hit the field last night.

Cam pulled up on Kelvin after finding out what he said about him in a recent interview with The Athletic last week. After getting traded, Kelvin said he was happy about the trade and that Carolina was never a good fit for him in the first place. Not only that, he said being on the team with the former MVP hurt his career. Oop.

"I mean, I felt like I would’ve been even more successful if … I don’t know, man … If I would’ve … Looking back on it, I should’ve just been drafted by somebody else. I should’ve never went to Carolina. Truly, I just think Carolina was bad for me. It was a bad fit from the get-go. If you would’ve put me with any other quarterback, let’s be real, you know what I’m saying? Any other accurate quarterback like Rodgers or Eli Manning or Big Ben — anybody! — quarterbacks with knowledge, that know how to place a ball and give you a better chance to catch the ball. It just felt like I wasn’t in that position."

Yikes. Those were fighting words, saying he lacks knowledge and he's inaccurate.

Watch Cam try to check Kelvin over the comments before their preseason game above. By the way, the Panthers beat the Bills, 28-23.
