NEWS YOU CAN USE: Alleged Tinder Killer/Rapist CAUGHT After Reportedly Attacking Women In Multiple States

 photo tinderkiller.png

Another completely unfortunate story to remind us all to be extra careful in these internet dating streets.  A man used Tinder to reportedly rape and murder women across several states. Get the deets on how the monster was caught and more inside...

Listen up! This is a story everyone should learn from especially since online dating has seemingly become the new norm when it comes to meeting new people.

A 27-year-old man was arrested in Los Angeles for allegedly sexually assaulting and trying to kill a woman there. The suspect's name is Danueal Drayton of New Haven, Connecticut (above). He has been accused of using online dating sites, like Tinder, to target victims.

Now, authorities are piecing together a timeline of events that could reveal Drayton has been torturing women across the nation.

 photo tinderkiller2.png

He's wanted in NYC for the murder of a 29-year-old nurse in Queens named Samantha Steweart (above). She was found dead a few weeks ago after allegedly meeting Drayton on Tinder. The NY Post reports:

Cops found Samantha Stewart just after 9 p.m. Tuesday at her Jamaica home on 145th Road near 167th Street — with trauma to her neck and head, cops said.

The 29-year-old nurse was wrapped in a white sheet on the floor of her bedroom — with her teeth knocked out and her tongue hanging out of her mouth, her distraught relatives told The Post.

Samantha's brothers discovered her dead inside of her home.

Samantha died of “manual strangulation,” according to the City’s Medical Examiner. Her death is being investigated as a homicide.

A 23-year-old Brooklyn woman also claims she was raped by Drayton after reportedly meeting him on Tinder on June 17th.

The NY1 reports:

The woman told investigators they met at a Dunkin Donuts on Third Avenue in Gowanus. She says they later bought wine and went to an office in Sheepshead Bay, where the suspect allegedly choked her, causing her to pass out. The woman told detectives when she woke up, she found Drayton sexually assaulting her, an ordeal that went on for hours.

Detectives were able to link DNA from the alleged rape scene to DNA discovered at the scene of the murder. The evidence concluded it was likely the same person who had committed both crimes.

After committing the crimes in NYC, Drayton reportedly jetted to Los Angeles where he held another woman captive against her will after a date. Heavy.com reports:

They tracked him to an apartment in north Hollywood, and alerted Los Angeles officers to his location.

The LAPD arrested arrested Drayton in the middle of the afternoon on Tuesday, July 24. Investigators found a woman with him, who they say Drayton was holding captive. She had been tied up against her will. Prosecutors say the woman and Drayton had gone out on a date before heading back to her apartment.

According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Drayton has been charged with attempted murder, forcible rape, sexual penetration by a foreign object and false imprisonment. Jail records show that bond was set at $1.25 million in the Los Angeles case. Drayton has not yet been changed for the alleged crimes in New York.

It's reported Drayton has a criminal history with violence in the past. In June 2018, he was arrested after an ex-girlfriend accused him of choking her at Inwood Park in Nassau County. He later slashed the woman's tires and reportedly sent threatening messages on Facebook. His bond was set at $1,000 (on June 5th), but for some reason the judge dropped the bail requirement (against advice from the district attorney NOT to) and he was released.

Back in 2011, he was also arrested for an alleged strangulation.

Now, police are encouraging any other potential victims to come forward. He has reportedly been using dating sites to lure in his victims and there may be several more women out there who have been assaulted by him.

Our condolences go out to all the the victims' loved ones.

We've got to be extra careful who we let into our homes because we all know it's not safe out here, especially for black women. Period.

In unfortunate news, Kanye West's dad Ray West has been diagnosed with cancer and 'Ye is tweeting about his suicidal thoughts. More inside...

Ten years after Kanye West's mother Donda West died following a cosmetic procedure, the rapper is now dealing with news that his father, Ray West, is suffering from a disease that could possibly take his life.

 photo kanyedad3.png

Ray's wife, Cheryl Carmichael West, revealed to RadarOnline that Kanye's dad has stomach cancer.

“His dad is sick with stomach cancer,” Ye's step-mother confirmed, adding Ray was diagnosed last spring. “He’s getting treatment and from what I understand the treatments are working.”

He was diagnosed last year around the time of the 10th anniversary of Donda's death. Prayers up for Mr. West!

We hope the diagnosis doesn't trigger Ye into his old habits. As you know, the PABLO rapper revealed he was onceaddicted to opioids after having liposuction and we all watched as his life seemingly spin out of control in front of our eyes. We watched the onstage rantsin shock and then eventually Ye was hospitalized for over a week to get treatment.

Right before news about his dad surfaced, Kanye hopped on Twitter and revealed that he had suicidal thoughts in the past. He said after watching a documentary about the life of late fashion designer Alexander McQueen, who committed suicide in 2010, he felt connected with the designer's journey.

Peep the tweets below:

But...

Sigh.

Last week, it was reported the "Ultralight Beam" rapper was hospitalized with the flu. His wife Kim was spotted taking him to the ER and he has been released and is currently recovering.

Prayers up for the West Family.

NETFLIX IS THE WAVE: Kenya Barris, Shonda Rhimes & (MAYBE) Beyonce Are Cooking Up Projects + LeBron James' Barbershop Talk Show Makes HBO Cut

ABC Studios have officially lost their top drama and comedy producers, Kenya Barris and Shonda Rhimes, to Netflix. And Beyonce may also be hopping on the Netflix wave. Get those deets, plus get the latest on HBO picking up LeBron James' barbershop talk show inside...

 photo netflixkenya.png

ABC Studios has lost TWO important creatives and they're both taking their talents to Netflix.

It has been confirmed Kenya Barris has exited his deal with ABC Studios and will score a hefty new deal with the streaming giant, Netflix.

According to sources, the "black-ish" creator and Girls Trip writer was greatly dissatisfied with the broadcast affiliated studio, so he decided to chuck the deuces. Since first signing with the Disney-owned studio in 2015, Kenya has become its top comedy writer-producer. No surprise there.

THR reports the writer/producer could possibly become the next mega-producer to ink a nine-figure overall deal with Netflix, following Shonda Rhimes and Ryan Murphy. YAS! Get those coins!

“I’m very grateful to Patrick Moran and his team at ABC Studios, who have supported me every step of the way as I created the worlds of Black-ish, Grown-ish and now Besties. It has been an incredible ride including a Peabody and Golden Globe win, Emmy nominations, and many other accolades. But most importantly, they’ve allowed me to realize my dream of creating my own shows and I’m so proud of the work we’ve done together," Barris said in a statement Friday. "No matter what, the studio has never wavered in their support of my creative vision. Leaving is bittersweet, but between my series on the air and projects currently in development, I know I’ll continue to work with ABC Studios for a long time.”

Kenya's deal with ABC Studios ends in August. However, he will still "remain the executive producer on all of his shows, 'black-ish' on ABC; 'grown-ish' and the upcoming 'Besties' on Freeform, and will continue to work on the ABC Studios projects he has in development," according to Deadline. Nice!

This actually isn't too much of a surprise after we heard about ABC yanking Kenya's NFL/national anthem protest episode over "creative differences." Hmph. Now, he'll have all the freedom to do what he wants.

Congrats!

Speaking of Shonda and Netflix...

 photo netflixshonda.png

Shonda Rhimes was also offered a nine-figure deal with Netflix and decided to make the move in August 2017. Now that the dust has settled, she's revealing her line up of shows set to premiere on the streaming giant.

The new Shondaland is gearing up to bring a good amount of interesting stories we can't wait to see.

“I wanted the new Shondaland to be a place where we expand the types of stories we tell, where my fellow talented creatives could thrive and make their best work and where we as a team come to the office each day filled with excitement,” Shonda said via press release. “Ted and Cindy and everyone at Netflix have been incredible partners in making that happen. This is Shondaland 2.0.”

Here's a list of the upcoming shows she has in store (all titles are working titles):

Untitled Shonda Rhimes Project: Based on the New York Magazine article How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People by Jessica Pressler. Manhattan makes a new friend like no other. But is she the stuff American dreams are made of or is she New York's biggest con woman? Is it a con if you enjoy being taken? * Shonda Rhimes (EP) will create the series.

Untitled Bridgerton Project: Based on Julia Quinn’s best-selling series of novels, this smart feminist take on Regency England romance unveils the glittering, wealthy, sexual, painful, funny and sometimes lonely lives of the women and men in London's high society marriage mart as told through the eyes of the powerful Bridgerton family. * Scandal veteran Chris Van Dusen (EP) will adapt and showrun the series.

The Warmth of Other Suns: Based on Pulitzer-Prize winning author Isabel Wilkerson’s award-winning book of the same name, this powerful groundbreaking series tracks the decades-long migration of African-Americans fleeing the Jim Crow South in search of a better life in the North and the West between 1916 and 1970. *National Humanities Medal recipient, MacArthur Genius Grant recipient and 2-time Drama Desk winning playwright Anna Deavere Smith (EP) is set to adapt.

Pick & Sepulveda: Set in the 1840s against the surreal and sensual backdrop of the then-Mexican state of California, the series tracks the end of an idyllic era there as American forces threaten brutality and war at the border to claim this breathtaking land for its own. *Emmy-award writer Janet Leahy (EP) will create the series.

Reset: My Fight for Inclusion and Lasting Change: Netflix and Shondaland have acquired the rights to Ellen Pao’s groundbreaking memoir detailing her life and career, including the lawsuit she brought against her former employer that sparked intense media scrutiny, shook Silicon Valley to its boys’ club core and pre-saged the Time’s Up movement.

The Residence: Netflix and Shondaland have acquired the rights to Kate Andersen Brower’s brilliant nonfiction book The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House, which offers a vividly accurate insider’s account of White House residence staffers and the upstairs downstairs lives they share with the First Families at one of the most famous homes in history.

Sunshine Scouts: In this darkly comedic half-hour series, an apocalyptic disaster spares a rag-tag group of teenage girls at sleepaway camp who must then summon their moxie and survival skills to weather the fallout and ensure all that remains of humanity abides by the Sunshine Scout Law. *Writer/actress Jill Alexander (Co-EP) will create the series.

Hot Chocolate Nutcracker: This documentary offers a behind-the-scenes look at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy’s award-winning reimagining of the classic ballet, The Nutcracker. This staged contemporization – with its inclusive cast of all ages and its blend of dance traditions – has further cemented Debbie Allen’s legacy as one of the greatest forces for good in dance. *Oliver Bokelberg (DP/Director Scandal) will serve as director, cinematographer and producer.

Y'all ready for Shondaland 2.0?

That's right, Beyonce! There's talk that Bey is currently working on her seventh solo album, following the release of her collaboration album with her hubby Jay Z, Everything Is Love.

According to The Sun, Mrs. Carter has been secretly filming several videos for the alleged upcoming "visual album" while "On The Run" with her hubby in Europe. She recently wrapped up the 18-date European leg and is now showing out in the States. (She performed in Washington D.C. for the 2nd time last night).

According to sources, much of the production will reportedly be shot within the ruins of the Roman Colosseum.

“Beyoncé has been hard at work on her next solo album and it is shaping up well,” one source shared with The Sun. “She wants it to be even more ground-breaking and visually impressive than Lemonade, which is why she is scouting out locations which will really wow people.”

Instead of dropping the visual album on HBO like she did for LEMONADE, it's being reported she's eyeing a deal to drop the visual album on Netflix.

“She wants it to be even more ground-breaking and visually impressive than Lemonade, which is why she is scouting out locations which will really wow people," the source explained.

Queen Bey's team is currently negotiating the deal with the streaming giant.

“They offered a seven-figure sum for Lemonade but contractual obligations with HBO and Tidal meant it didn’t happen," the source continued. B"ut they are willing to pay through the roof this time because Beyonce still has massive pulling power.”

If she does cop this deal, it will definitely NOT be a "Netflix and Chill" type night with your boo. It's going to be a "call all of your girlfriends and have a sleepover" type ordeal and we're HERE for having our edges snatched yet again.

LeBron James, who recently inked a 4-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, is still putting in work OFF the court.

The Lakers baller and his homie/business partner Maverick Carter are gearing up for the release of their barbershop-set talk show, "The Shop," on HBO.

According to THR, the network ordered a handful of episodes of the new talk show that's set to premiere in August.

The first episode, which was shot last week in West Hollywood's Barber Surgeons Guild, will feature a conversation between King James, Maverick, rapper Snopp Dogg, NY Giants baller Odell Beckham Jr., New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green, Los Angeles Sparks star Candace Parker and comedian Jon Stewart.

“This show is real, it’s candid and it’s the essence of conversation,” King James explained to THR.“And we know with social media and text being the way people communicate, the form of conversation, actually talking, is kind of a lost art.” Very true.

THR reports:

Each episode will assemble a mix of personalities in a barbershop for unconstructed, frank talk while the cameras roll; the conversation will then be whittled down to 30-minute episodes.

“I still regret giving my 14-year-old my name.” - @KingJames

This and more real, unfiltered conversation with @OBJ_3, @mavcarter, and more in UNINTERRUPTED’s unscripted series THE SHOP.

First episode dropping 8/28, exclusively on @HBO. pic.twitter.com/zIoxEgBnJn

— UNINTERRUPTED (@uninterrupted) July 26, 2018

"When I was a kid, being in barbershops meant listening to adults talk about sports, clothing, politics, music, everything happened in the shop," says James. "It was so real and so candid — no one had a sense of, well I can’t be myself here. That’s how The Shop became an idea."

So far, the NBA superstar is slated to appear in at least the first three episodes of The Shop. HBO Sports has left the episode order somewhat vague given James' day job, so it’s unclear when the second episode will air.

Check out a few clips from the first episode below:

"The Shop" premieres August 28th at 11pm EST on HBO. Will you be tuning in?

HE KILLED IT! Kendrick Lamar's Philosophical Crackhead Character 'Laces' Dominates 'Power'

Kendrick Lamar made his acting debut on "Power" last night and he totally NAILED it! More inside...

Kendrick Lamar totally dominated television last night.

The Grammy award winner made his acting debut in the "Power" episode "Happy Birthday" last night and he def was the episode's breakout star. The Pulitzer Prize winner played a crackhead named "Laces." But Laces isn't your typical junkie on the street. Laces is smart - book smart and street smart - and will drop knowledge at the drop of dime....all while asking for money, of course. And he also speaks fluent Spanish. Get it K. Dot!

 photo kendrick2.png

In one scene, Laces tried to sell 50 Cent's character Kanan some gift cards. That didn't work. However, Kanan ended up giving him a gun to sell for money. He literally popped up in about 3 scenes and we wanted so much more! K. Dot really embodied his role. He's like the neighborhood crackhead everyone loves, but knows he can't be trusted.

Anyone else having déjà vu? His character reminds us of "Bubbles" from HBO's "The Wire."

While on the "Power" press tour at the Television Critics Association, showrunner Courtney Kemp revealed how having Kendrick star on the show came about. Apparently, Fif's relationship with the west coast rapper is how he ended up making an episode-stealing cameo:

“What happened was [50 Cent] was like, ‘Kendrick had mentioned he wanted to be on the show,'” she explained. “And then I got on the phone with Kendrick and said, ‘What do you want to play?’ ‘Cause that’s my favorite thing to ask an actor. ‘What do you want to do that you’ve never done before?’ That’s my favorite question. And then he said, ‘You know, I’d like to play’ — well, he didn’t say ‘drug addict,’ but he used a different word [laughs]. But so then we created the character Laces.”

And there you have it.

Peep a few clips from his appearance below:

 photo lebronteaser.png

It's a BIG day for LeBron James and some kiddies in his hometown of Akron. Today is the day Bron's "I Promise" public school opens! And the kids' reactions having us grabbing a tissue.  Go inside to see how their first day of school went down...

LeBron James just keeps proving why he's the ultimate model athlete and role model. He had a vision to open an elementary school to serve underprivileged students in his hometown of Akron and he did JUST that. The superstar athlete teamed up with The LeBron James Family Foundation and Akron Public Schools to create a school focused on STEM, hands-on, problem-based learning.

Today is the first day "I Promise School," which is a part of Akron Public Schools, opens up for 240 third-and-fourth graders. The school is expected to expand each year, going to second and fifth grades next year until is reaches grades first-eighth by 2022. Students were selected for the elementary school via a lottery.

 photo lebronschool2.png

The school is an extension of LeBron's "I Promise" program where students make promises to go to school, do their homework, listen to teachers, ask questions, find answers, be respectful of others and live a healthy life.  Rules to live by at any age.

Here's a little info on how the school will operate:

The classrooms will hold 20 students for every teacher, and 12 teachers have been hired for the 2018-19 school year. There are 43 academic staffers, including a principal, assistant principal, four intervention specialists, tutor, English as a second language teacher, music instructor and a gym teacher. IPS is a certified STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) school. The school day is long – 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and so is the school year, lasting July 30-May 17 – and there will be a seven-week summer school. Students will be served breakfast, lunch and a snack daily.

King James had all the first-day-of-school feels last night before the big day:

Take a peek inside the I Promise School below:

We KNOW the kids are loving every bit of this. Who wouldn't want to get up everyday and go to school here?

Here's how the school is designed:

The entrance to the school features a split staircase with the IPS and LeBron James Family Foundation logos. High on the walls at the entrance are 114 sneakers worn by James. The corresponding pair will be sold by Upper Deck and proceeds will help fund the school and the foundation.

The bottom floor of the building features a mural of James, Muhammad Ali, Jackie Robinson, Jesse Owens and Martin Luther King Jr.

The walls of the school are lined with photos of James and children at foundation events. Students will be stocked with school supplies, and teachers will have the tools they need, including a faculty lounge stocked with snacks and beverages and access to workout trainers.

This little boy's reaction makes it all worth it:

And peep a clip of 3rd graders reciting the #IPROMISE for the first time in their new home with Principal Davis:

OMG! WE LOVE THIS!

In the clip below, the four-time NBA MVP explains how much this school means to him:

Where are the tissues?!! This is AHH-MAZING! And we hope other celebs will see what Bron is doing and follow in his footsteps. His legacy will live on long after basketball with all the philanthropic work he puts in.

Over the last six years, LeBron has helped over 1,100 kids in Akron with an array of initiatives. You’ll recall, he also teamed up with the University of Akron and provided four-year scholarships to qualifying students within his “I Promise” program.

 photo monyettacoparenting.png

It can be hard when it comes to co-parenting with your ex, but it can be done. Monyetta Shaw has it figured out and she's sharing tips on how to keep it all the way classy. More inside...

Ne-Yo, Monyetta Shaw and Ne-Yo's wife Crystal Smith are "blended and blessed." And Monyetta wants the same for other couples struggling to co-parent.

Over the weekend, Ne-Yo, Crystal, Monyetta, and another guest (who we assume is her man) linked up to have some fun with the kiddies! We all know the backstory about the former reality star and her R&B crooner ex. Monyetta and Ne-Yo, who were formerly engaged, went through a nasty break up and she publicly claimed he forced her (or convinced her) to have her tubes tied after the birth of their 2nd child together, Mason Smith, in 2011. They also share a a daughter named Madilyn Grace Smith, who they welcomed a year earlier.

After their break up, Ne-Yo got with Crystal Smith, married her and they ended up having two children together, Shaffer Chimere Smith, Jr. and Roman Alexander-Raj Smith. Things got messy between Monyetta and Crystal via social media, but it seems they've both come to a place where they can get along and co-parent. Hey, it's all about the kids, right?

While sharing a blended family photo from a Kidz Bop show this weekend, Monyetta revealed an excerpt from her upcoming book about keeping it classy while co-parenting, and it's expected to drop this fall. It'll be the follow up to her 2016 book, Bigger Than Me.

Read Monyetta's tips below:

I was thinking about the perfect caption for this pic but the excerpt below from my upcoming book .....Keep It Classy, Co-parenting strategies for unstoppable Moms and devoted Dads says it best! “There are no hard and fast rules on how to keep it classy either. Adopting the right mindset will definitely guide your steps. But, keeping it classy won’t be defined by the kind of clothes you wear, car you drive or how big or small the place you call home is. Your career and zip code are all irrelevant. You’ll define what keep it classy means to you and your family—however you envision it to look, sound and feel is entirely your choice. What does matter is how you and your ex communicate with one another in the presence of your children before, during and after your breakup. Our behavior and attitude at this crucial time shapes their feelings about themselves and future relationships. This is our opportunity to teach them valuable life lessons about love, friendship, coping with disappointment and conflict resolution.” #keepitclassybook OUT THIS FALL For me it’s quite simple. My kids come first & it’s extremely vital for me to set a positive example. Trust me, they are paying close attention!! And THAT makes every decision & every move that I make easy! Now don’t get me wrong. It’s a process & on any given day a different set of challenges can arise. But if you are truly doing what’s best for your children & coming from a place of love....... it will all come together! God is amazing! —Monyetta Shaw #familyfirst #biggerthanme #biggerthanus #blendedfamily #blendedandblessed #funfamilyday #kidzbopambassador #kidzbop

Beyoncé Just Got Unprecedented Control Over Her VOGUE September Cover, So She Hired A Black Photographer To Make History With Her

 photo Screen Shot 2018-07-30 at 6.40.46 PM_zps0hnidsv4.png

Beyoncé has reportedly nabbed the cover of VOGUE's September 2018 issue, and also got total control over how entire spread, which no cover subject in VOGUE's history has ever gotten.  We also hear she's making history with a black photographer.  Because, Beyonce.

Deets inside.

For the first time since 2015, Beyoncé will reportedly bless VOGUE magazine with a cover shoot, and according to sources, she received unprecedented control over it all.  Y'all know she's not doing ISH without her own team having complete creative control.  That track "Boss" made the Carters' album for a reason.

With rumors swirling that the upcoming September issue will be Anna Wintour's last, it sounds like the British fashion head honcho is changing it all the way up to go out with a bang.

Page Six reports the Lemonade queen will indeed be September's cover subject, but it's unclear if she'll be doing an interview, an essay of her own, and whatever else the Queen dreams up.  But what we do know is that young photographer Tyler Mitchell shot her spread (which supposedly took place back in April). Nabbing Tyler for this gig is a big f'ing deal, because that makes him the very first black photographer to ever shoot the cover of VOGUE magazine.

EIC Anna Wintour typically goes for traditional, often used photographers for her shoots, like Mario Testino who shot Beyonce's September 2015 spread.  But, this time around, Beyoncé flexed her power (and blackness) and made sure she had more control than anyone ever has.

The Huffington Post reports:

“The reason a 23-year-old black photographer is photographing Beyoncé for the cover of Vogue is because Beyoncé used her power and influence to get him that assignment,” the source said.

Yossss sis!  THAT is how it should be.

Being black and fabulous shouldn't just stop with you once you make it.  Beyoncé & her husband Jay-Z often tap tons of black creatives to slay in the limelight with them (Beychella, anyone?!).  Hiring black creatives, talent, etc. shouldn't solely be the responsibility of mainstream media, and no one knows that better than The Carters who have an immensely inclusive team surrounding them.

Instead of waiting for corporations, mainstream media and more to dig their heads out the sand and find talent of color, black celebs like The Carters do it themselves.  And for that, they can take all our money on this latest OTR II tour.  Where's the merch?!

LEGAL WOES: Floyd Mayweather Is Being Sued For $650K Of $1.6M Interior Design Job + Viacom Wants The Game To PAY UP $20M After Lawsuit

 photo floydsued.png

Floyd Mayweather and The Game both have lawsuits on their hands. Get the latest on their new legal woes inside...

Over the last week, Floyd Mayweather has been going AT IT with 50 Cent on social media. But, maybe he should be more concerned about this new lawsuit being filed against them rather than going to war on social media.

Floyd Mayweather is being accused of NOT fully paying an interior designer to redesign his new Beverly Hills mansion. So, the designer is suing for over $650,000 for services rendered that weren't compensated.

The Blast got their hands on court documents that reveal Palumbo Design was reportedly hired to oversee the cosmetic design of his Beverly Hills mansion. Apparently, the boxer paid $1 million to have the home renovated, but suddenly stopped payment and never coughed up the $650,000 that was still owed. Not only that, Floyd allegedly started to ignore the company's attempt to get the money owed.

The site gives the breakdown of how it all went down:

The company claims Mayweather was clearly pleased with the work, pointing to the fact that “he frequently posted pictures on social media for his tens of millions of followers bragging and touring his redesigned home, recently acquired furniture, and other redesign work” that they did.

The company says Mayweather agreed to pay for all furniture, rugs, art, décor, window coverings, textiles, and all other items and furnishings selected, plus pay a pre-tax 25% design commission.

Around February, while they were working to complete Mayweather’s master bedroom, Palumbo says they were still waiting to be paid on a $150,000 invoice. When they asked his team, they claim they got the runaround and were told to wait to submit another invoice until after “visible progress” had been made on the home or an impressive looking room was finished for Mayweather.

They waited to send the next invoice but they claim no payment was made, despite numerous assurances. Palumbo says they kept working on the home for months and keep asking where the payments were … with no luck.

The head of the company even spoke to Floyd Mayweather on the phone and says the boxer never disputed the invoice but apologized, claiming he was dealing with personal matters. His team eventually started questioning them on the cost of work done and items purchased.

Palumbo says they have yet to be paid and are suing for the entire $657,037.36 plus interest owed.

Pay the people!

We can't dictate how folks spend their money even when they spend excessively (because hey, if you work hard, you have every right to have nice things). We just hope he also spends excessively on things that help the communities who need it, since those same folks likely pay to watch your matches.

In other legal woes...

 photo thegamesued.png

Viacom seems to still be pissed with The Game following their legal dispute.

They already defeated the west coast rapper (real name Jayceon Taylor) in court earlier this year and now they want him to PAY for it.

The company is reportedly seeking to be reimbursed by the rapper for the court costs they racked up to defend against the rapper's $20 million lawsuit that he brought up against the company after an alleged sexual assault that went down during filming of his former dating show, "She Got Game." He felt they should have been liable for the $7.1 million judgement he was hit with by the alleged victim, Prsicilla Rainey.

It cost the company $35,729.50 and they want The Game to pay it in full.

The Blast reports:

The Game argued Viacom should cover the bill due to them casting Rainey on the show, despite knowing she had a criminal history. He claimed they knew of her multiple felony arrests for battery and that she suffered from mental health issues.

Viacom denied they should be liable for the $7.1 judgment and sought to have the entire case dismissed.

On June 5, the judge came back with his decision and sided with the media company by dismissing The Game’s case.

The judge has yet to rule on if Jaceyon will have to pay up or not. Hmm..how do you think he/she will rule? They both make good points.

Everything is all good between Jay Z and Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney, thankfully. And since everything is all good in the hood, the Made In America Festival will go down in its original location for years to come.

It was up in the air on whether or not Hov's Made In America Festival would return to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway following this year's event. The annual festival has been held at that location since 2012, however the city was trying to shut it down.

In an open letter published in The Philly Inquirer, Mr. Carter accused the mayor of "evicting" him and the festival, but, the mayor eventually had a change of heart.

A few days ago, it was confirmed that the Made In America Festival will continue to be held at Benjamin Franklin Parkway for "years to come." After both Roc Nation and Mayor Kenney released a joint statement confirming the news, Hov and Mayor Kenney linked up for a meeting before the "On The Run II" Tour stopped in the City of Brotherly Love last night:

“We are happy to announce the Made in America festival will continue at the heart of the Philadelphia, the Benjamin Franklin Parkway for many years to come," Desiree Perez, Chief Operating Officer, Roc Nation said via press release. "After a candid and constructive discussion with the Mayor, we are confident any miscommunication is corrected, and we are proactively addressing any concerns. We are committed to bringing the best experience possible to Philadelphians and all music lovers as well as the continuing prosperity of the city.”

“I am greatly appreciative of everything that Made in America has done for the City of Philadelphia and I remain committed to its continued success," said Mayor Kenney. "The Made in America festival belongs in Philadelphia – the birthplace of our country – and I’m optimistic that we can turn an unfortunate misunderstanding into a positive outcome and even stronger event. I look forward to working with Roc Nation and Live Nation, and maintaining this Philadelphia tradition for years to come.”

The Made In America Festival will go down September 1st & 2nd where Nicki Minaj and Post Malone will headline. Meek Mill, Janelle Monae, Miguel and more are also hitting the stage. More deets HERE.

After meeting with the mayor, Hov hit the stage with his wife Beyonce, who changed her hairstyle - bringing the braided ponytail back to the stage:

Months After Tisha Campbell Filed For Spousal Support, Duane Martin Goes & Does The Same Thing!

Apparently, Duane Martin isn't going down without a fight! He is now seeking spousal support from his estranged wife Tisha Campbell-Martin. Deets inside...

Looks like things are getting ugly between Duane Martin and his estranged wife Tisha Campbell-Martin.

Five months after Tisha filed for divorce and then spousal support from Duane (after 20+ years of marriage), the "All Of Us" actor is now reportedly filing his own paperwork. He too wants spousal support! Sheesh.

Luckily, they don't have to worry about fighting over their two children, Xen (16) and Ezekiel (8), since they've both agreed on joint custody. But damn, this spousal support thing is going to be a doozy. The "Martin" alum accused her estranged husband of hiding his money, but he claims those rumors are "patently false," according to The Blast.

The couple also filed for bankruptcy in 2016 after raking up $15 million in debt. We're not sure how this all will play out.

We still don't know the real reason these two have called it quits. Sucks though.

Looks like Tisha is keeping her mind off things by hanging out with her longtime homie Tichina Arnold:

ICYMI: Octavia Spencer Will Star & Produce Netflix's Madam C. J. Walker Limited Series, LeBron James To Produce

 photo octaviamadame.png

Octavia Spencer and LeBron James are teaming up for a limited series about black hair care mogul Madam C.J. Walker set to stream on Netflix. Deets inside...

We're praising the TV gods for Netflix!

The streaming giant just copped a new limited series that will share the story about how Madam C.J. Walker built her black hair care empire. She's the FIRST (real) self-made female millionaire in America and one of the most successful African-American female business owners of all time. So yes, this story NEEDS to be told.

Oscar winning actress Octavia Spencer will star and executive produce the eight-episode series, which is based on the book, "On Our Own Ground" written by Walker's great-great granddaughter A’Lelia Bundles. She will also serve as a consultant for the show.

Variety reports:

The series will recount the untold story of how Walker, a black hair care pioneer and mogul, overcame hostile turn-of-the-century America, epic rivalries, tumultuous marriages and some trifling family to become America’s first black, self-made female millionaire.

Walker, the daughter of slaves, was orphaned at age seven, married at 14, and widowed at 20. She spent two decades laboring as a washerwoman, earning $1.50 a week. Everything changed, though, following Walker’s discovery of a revolutionary hair care formula for black women. By the time she died in 1919, she had built a beauty empire from the ground up, amassing wealth unprecedented among black women.

“Black Nativity” helmer Kasi Lemmons will direct the pilot and also exec produce, and Nicole Asher will write. Janine Sherman Barrois and Elle Johnson will also serve as executive producers, along with SpringHill’s Maverick Carter, and Zero Gravity’s Mark Holder and Christine Holder. The project hails from Warner Bros. Television.

LeBron's production company SpringHill Entertainment is excited about teaming up with Octavia for the project as they delve into television and expanding the Lakers' player production portofolio.

“It’s so exciting for all of us to keep building SpringHill, see it mature, and continue to find its voice. We are really focused on growing with authenticity and substance,” SpringHill rep (and LeBron's close friend) Maverick Carter said. “For us, this is totally about great stories and great partners. Partnering with Octavia to tell the story of Madam C.J. Walker is the ideal first project for SpringHill to take an important step into scripted drama.”

NBA FIGHT! Word On The Curb Is That Draymond Green & Tristan Thompson Got Into A Brawl During ESPY Afterparty

 photo drayTTteaser.png

A whole NBA showdown went down in the club after the ESPY Awards. How ironic. Get the deets on Draymond Green vs. Tristan Thompson inside...

 photo drayTT1.png

Two weeks ago, we spotted several NBA ballers on the LA party scene after this years ESPY Awards. Lakers baller LeBron James, Golden State Warriors player Draymond Green, Cleveland Cavaliers player Tristan Thompson and Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant were spotted outside of Delilah nightclub.

What we didn't know at the time is that Draymond and Tristan got into a whole FIGHT in the club. Allegedly.

 photo drayTTfight2.png

If you were keeping up with the NBA Finals this year, then you know Warriors baller Draymond Green and Cavs baller Tristan Thompson were throwing mad shade at one another.

After the Warriors won Game 4, Tristan apparently tried to shake Draymond's hand and he DISSED him. Not only that, Draymond shared with the world what he said to Tristan when he tried to shake his hand during the Warriors' Champsionship parade. Shady boots.

Check it:

So here's what supposedly went down when these two got in the same room together following the Finals.

 photo drayTT2.png

According to FOX's Jason McIntyre, Draymond went up to Tristan to allegedly try to apologize for his behavior during the Finals. Apparently, Tristan wasn't trying to hear it, but Draymond continued to apologize, saying "Come on, I didn't mean it." Right after he said that, all hell supposedly broke loose. He said Tristan punched Draymond, however Draymond didn't fall.

Peep the tweets:

Well damn. There's also rumors floating around on Twitter that claim LeBron and Kevin broke the fight up. We're not sure how true that is, but it isn't too far fetched being that King James is cool with them both.

Tristan has gone through a lot in the media (all due to his own cheating, f*ck boi behavior) and it sounds like he took all of his frustration out on Draymond...IF Draymond was really sincerely apologizing. Sounds like King James is stuck in a weird place because, friendship.

"She is not real, doctor f*cked up on her right hip," he continued.

It didn't take long before the KKW Beauty honcho caught wind of Tyson's remarks. She decided to clapback in the comments what seemingly seems like shade against his sexuality:

During Kim's interview on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" she was asked about her sister Kylie Jenner's success and rumors that she's on her way to become a billionaire.

Mrs. West made sure to insert that her husband Kanye West is already a billionaire.

“I would say my husband is [a billionaire]. That makes me one, right?," she asked.

Wasn't it revealed Kanye was like $53 million in debt a few years ago or....

While it may have seemed like she may have been joking, she wasn't.

Sources tell The Blast that 'Ye has received several offers for investments and potential buyers of his Yeezy company. However, he hasn't decided how much, if any, he wants to part with...yet. The sources also claim that his Yeezy company with Adidas was evaluated close to being worth $1.5 billion.

GED Program For Parents, Food Pantry For Families & Everything Else LeBron James Has To Say About His I Promise School

Here's everything you need to know about LeBron James' I Promise School inside...

While LeBron James is taking his talents to the Los Angeles Lakers, he's leaving behind an incredible legacy in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.

The four-time NBA MVP accomplished a HUGE feat when the doors of hisI Promise School, which is a part of Akron Public Schools, opened a few days ago.

What makes the I Promise School unique is that the school is a part of the Public school system and is NOT a charter school. Often times, celebrities back charter schools or open private schools, but this public school was created for at-risk students.

"It’s not a charter school, it’s not a private school, it’s a real-life school in my hometown,” he told ESPN. “And this is pretty cool.”

King James knows exactly what it feels like growing up as an-risk student in Akron. While in the fourth grade, James missed 83 days of school as he and his mother moved from one couch to the next. King James credits sports and a team of mentors who helped him attend school everyday of fifth grade, which was the first year he played organized basketball.

Now, 240 third and fourth graders will not have to experience some of the things he did as they work towards becoming the inaugural class of the I Promise School. And guess what? King James and his LeBron James Family Foundation are going to make sure they are covered in all aspects, not just academically.

The I Promise School will provide GED classes and job placement assistance for parents and guardians of students who attend the school. The school will also provide a food pantry for the parents of students. This isn't the first time LeBron has helped parents to get their GEDs. Before launching his school, his foundation helped parents in Akron to finally nab their GED certificate throughout the years.

In an interview with CNN's Don Lemon, LeBron said he wanted to create a family atmosphere for the students. The school's hours are 9am to 5pm with an extended school year that runs from July through May. LeBron said they extended the school hours and the school year to keep the kids away from all of the drug/gang drama that's going on in their neighborhoods.

The school will also provide free breakfast, lunch and snacks before they go home for the day, free uniforms and free transportation. They'll also have access to a fitness trainer. He also gave every incoming student a bicycle since he used to ride his bicycle to explore different neighborhoods of Akron.

Also, once the students complete the program and graduate from high school, LeBron will cover their FULL tuition at the local public college, University of Akron. Nice!

During his CNN conversation, LeBron touched on race in America and how our president has been trying to use sports to divide us - something that usually brings people from all backgrounds together.

“We’re in a position right now in America where this race thing is taking over," he said. "One, because I believe our president is kind of trying to divide us. What I’ve noticed over the last few months is that he’s kind of used sports to kind of divide us, and that’s something that I can’t relate to because I know that sports was the first time that I was around someone white."

He continued, “And I got the opportunity to see them and learn about them, and they got the opportunity to learn about me and we became very good friends… Sports has never been something that divide people; it’s always been something that brings someone together.”

King James also opened up about if he'll ever get into politics, the hardships of growing up black in America and more. Peep the full interview below:

King James also sat down with ESPN where he gushed about his new school and everything about joining the Lakers franchise:

Three years after Bobbi Kristina Brown lost her life, her father is giving back to the community in her honor. Bobby Brown (along with his wife Alicia Etheredge and daughter Hendrix Brown) joined city officials in South Fulton, Atlanta and Fulton County to honor Bobbi Kristina's legacy with three proclamations in her honor.

 photo BobbyBrownBobbyBrownWifeAliciaEtheredgeJqorLM6PXEIl.jpg

The New Edition singer is developing a non-profit domestic violence shelter in memory of his late daughter Bobbi Kristina. "The Bobbi Kristina Serenity House" will lead the way in empowering all communities about the perils of Domestic Violence, according to the website.

The shelter will also offer a 24-hour crisis intervention line, an emergency transitional shelter access to resources/referral services, and advocacy for social change with expert support services for victims and survivors.

 photo BobbyBrownBobbyBrownWifeAliciaEtheredgearwBY9FVQWel.jpg

“Our family lives with the pain every day of losing my beautiful daughter, Bobbi Kristina, to domestic violence,” the singer said in a previous statement. “She loved Atlanta and in her memory, we are proud to announce the formation of the Bobbi Kristina Serenity House. Our initial goal is to help educate women and men of all ages, by creating a 24-hour crisis intervention line and emergency transitional shelter.”

In 2015, 22-year-old Bobbi Kristina, daughter of the late Whitney Houston, was found unresponsive in a bathtub inside her Georgia home. Unfortunately, she died six months later after being in a coma. Nick Gordon, her boyfriend at the time, was looked at as a person of interest following her death. Later, he was found responsible for her death in a wrongful death lawsuit brought on by her estate where he was ordered to pay $36 million.

While losing BK is extremely hard on Bobby, we're glad he has found a way to honor her life.

By the way, "The Bobby Brown Story" premieres on September 4th at 9/8c on BET. Also, Bobby will be heading out on tour with Ronnie, Ricky & Mike in September.

A mother-daughter collabo is in the works!

Jada Pinkett Smith and her daughter Willow Smith are currently working on a collaboration track and the Girls Trip star is spilling deets about what fans can expect.

In an interview with Billboard, the 46-year-old actress revealed she and her 17-year-old daughter are working on a new track titled "Dear Father." And this isn't the only track they plan on working on together.

"I actually have a song with Willow that we did together," Jada spilled to the site. "It’s called “Dear Father” and we are still working on it. But it’s pretty dope. Willow has always wanted to do some stuff with me. She grew up with Wicked Wisdom on tour so it’s always been her dream to play with the band and play with me on stage. It’s really fun. So we’re thinking about doing four songs or something."

Are you ready for the mother-daughter music they have in the works? Could be interesting.

Rihanna Makes HERstory As British VOGUE September 2018 Cover Girl, Talks Staying THICK (But These Eyebrows...)

 photo rihvogue1.png

To kick off the new fashion season, Rihanna graces the cover of British VOGUE's prestigious September issue under the direction of editor-in-chief EdwardEnninful. And we wonder if her pencil thin eyebrows are going to kick off a new trend. Also, she opens up about losing weight, but keeping her "thickness." Everything inside...

Another history making moment for Rihanna!

The Bajan beauty just made HERstory as the first black woman to land the cover of British VOGUE's coveted September issue in the publication's 102 years of existence. Yep, she did that!

 photo rihvogue22.png

It's British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful's first September issue since landing his spot back in August. And he knew he had to come up with something special as this is the most influential issue in VOGUE's calendar year.

"I always knew it had to be Rihanna,” British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninfulsaid about his first September issue. “A fearless music-industry icon and businesswoman, when it comes to that potent mix of fashion and celebrity, nobody does it quite like her.”

No lies told.

 photo rihvogue33.png

Inside, the 30-year-old singer - who slays in expensive threads like Prada, Alexander McQueen, and even her own Savage x Fenty - opens about getting back in the gym, but wanting to keep curves.

“I hope I don’t lose my butt or my hips or all of my thighs," she shared. I’ll lose some but not all."

Those aren't the only curves she's worried about.

"And I think of my boobs, like, ‘Imma lose everything, everything goes!’ But, you know, it comes with a price. You want to have a butt, then you have a gut.”

Ha! Wherever she falls on the scale, RiRi is always serving up a slay worthy moment.

Rumored to be dating billionaire Hassan Jameel, the Grammy Award winner has some dating advice for her Navy.

“I think a lot of people meet people and then they’re dating the idea of what the person could become, and that person never shows up and then they’re just mad disappointed.

"A person can always get better, they can always get worse, but you’ve got to be fine with what you met them as,” she continued.

Facts. Anyone else ever been here? We sure have.

She also dished on keeping her circle small:

“I’m very picky about friends. I don’t like to open myself up to everyone and so when you find people who are great and loyal, you don’t want to let go of that. I’ve been out here on my own since I was a teenager, so these people become like your family.”

Preach Rih!  Words to live by.

 photo rihvogue44.png

With the 400-page September issue annually setting the tone for the upcoming fashion season, we wonder if the pencil thin eyebrows she's rocking on the cover will become a new trend. We sure hope not.

Edward Enniful also shared a clip of his interview with Rih where he talked about working with her on the September issue:

After wrapping up another season of "The Voice Australia," Kelly Rowland brings her gorgeousness inside VOGUE Australia's August 2018 issue.

Inside, the former Destiny's Child member chopped it up about how moms like Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez were her inspiration to get back on her grind. She also dished on ditching her fitness routine while in Australia, almost missing out on a great husband, on wanting to meet her estranged father, Coachella and more.

Below are the highlights:

On Beyonce and J.Lo helping her find her confidence after having her son, Titan:

“I was like coming into that, people trying to say that women can’t be fly after having a baby,” she says. “But J. Lo defied that and said it’s not the case, Bey did it … all these women do it and I was like: ‘Fuck it, I’m going to do that too.’ And that’s when I started to pick up the pace a little bit. Then I got into the studio and started to find the groove and now the groove is there, it’s rolling.”

On not working out while filming the singing competition show Down Under:

“Since I’ve been here I have not worked out once,” she says with a laugh (she laughs a lot). She does boxing and pilates, and lifts weights. “I like to run track as if I were an Olympian. I went from doing all of the above before I left to doing nothing.

On almost missing out on marrying her now-husband Tim Weatherspoon:

“At the beginning, I was scared of the idea of loving one person. I was nervous about being with one person for the rest of my life. I’d had the worst relationships and I was so scared and said: ‘How about we take a break from dating?’ and he said: ‘What if we took a break from dating and God sent you a guy and that guy was me?’ And I was like click! I hung up the phone. I was scared, because I knew he was my husband in that moment. And I almost ran away from that, but I just embraced it. Marriage is awesome, it has its ups and downs, like anything in life, but it’s incredible. My husband is my rock, my best friend. He believes when I don’t, believes that anything can work and that anything is possible in such a positive light. I think he’s a freak sometimes, no-one can see things like that, but he’s a realist and he’s positive and he’s an asshole, but I love him for everything he does, like in the cutest way of an asshole.”

On wanting to meet her estranged father Christopher Lovett:

“I don’t know my dad. I last saw him was I was seven or eight: I haven’t seen him since then. I do want to know him, meet him, know his background for the sake of my son. I don’t know, I’m just nervous to make that phone call. Tim has spoken with him on the phone. Just talking about it gives me butterflies.”

On the new wave she's on creating new music:

“If I feel it or think it and it touches me in some way, then I think it’s going to do that to somebody else, too.” There are six tracks that she’s in love with, but she wants five more. “The record about my mother I have yet to put into words, and it will be the hardest record I will ever write …”

On what fans can expect from her new album:

“It’s about love, loss and gain and whether it’s professional or with family or whatever, it’s just honest. I had no choice but to be honest and authentic with this record: it’s about friendship and marriage.” The album has a title, but it’s too soon to disclose, although she hints that it’s actually super-connected to Australia. “This country has inspired me in so many ways, so many.” The “awesome” artwork for the album cover was found here, too.

On rehearsing for her surprise Coachella performance with Bey and Michelle Williams:

“We rehearsed like crazy. I would go back to LA and we would be in rehearsals. They were intense. It was so much fun. When we finished I was sad, thank God Michelle and Bey were still in town, so I could still see them. It spoiled me all the time we were able to spend together, but that creative time is pretty remarkable when we are together. It really is. What a blessing, right? And we still love each other. We were laughing at that one day. We were getting ready, but our kids were running around. That’s the fun part; it’s the sweetest thing: they are going to be friends, because we are all so close. Coachella was awesome.”

Aww!

Speaking of Michelle...

Thank you ALL sooooooooooooooo much for every message of love and support sent! My family, friends and fiancé have been AWESOME! Sitting here reflecting on the past two weeks. I had no plans of what I was going through being public BUT now that it is I have a made an even BIGGER commitment to the mental health awareness area. So many people are suffering, hurting, hopeless, lost and don’t see a way out but there is. Depression sucks, but my faith in God and my commitment to doing the work to stay well is my way out! You have to do the work even when you’re tired and feel the heaviness. Take one step at a time! Don’t overwhelm yourself. If you can just get up out the bed and brush your teeth and shower.....DO IT. For people dealing with depression , that is a HUGE step! Now don’t be depressed AND stinky.....pick a struggle! (y’all know I had to add some humor) Anyhoo.....I love you all very much! Talk soon! (yes I need a fill and my roots need to be flat ironed....bye.....I haven’t lost my humor) Oh......Miss Tina cooked a HUGE meal for me the other night too, I just wanted to make y’all jealous!

According to reports, Kelly and Bey didn't waste any time getting in contact with their former Destiny's Child bandmate Michelle Williams after learning that she checked into a mental health facility to treat depression.

Sources tell TMZ, Bey & Kellz reached out to Michelle to let her know that they were there for her and that the ladies were quite sad hearing about their "sister" battling depression. However, Beyonce's mom Tina Lawson made sure to keep her belly full.

Stay strong Michelle!

Pastor John Gray Explains That Pastor Meeting With Trump Where Another Black Pastor Called 45 'The Most Pro-Black President We've Ever Had'

Pastor John Gray is speaking out after he and a group of black pastors met with Donald Trump yesterday and got dragged for filth for it.  Especially since one pastor even hailed 45 as the "most pro-black president in our lifetime." Oh? More inside...

The Saints and Aints are on fire today after a group of black pastors met with Donald Trump for yet another "faith leaders meeting", aka photo op. Trump sat down with a group of inner-city pastors from all over the country during a White House roundtable last night that reportedly focused on prison reform efforts.

Trump fed them his lies, per usual, telling them that his administration has been working hard to help prisoners re-enter society and find work after serving a prison sentence.

"When we say hire American, we mean all Americans," Trump said.

Hmph.

The conversation took an interesting turn when black Ohio pastor Darrell Scott, who was an early Trump supporter, dubbed 45 as the "most pro-black president of our time."

"This is probably the most pro-active administration regarding urban America and the faith-based community in my lifetime," Scott told the group, adding, "This is probably going be ... the most pro-black president that we've had in our lifetime."

Come again? Then, he goes on to attack President Barack Obama, because you know folks can't get their point across about 45 without bashing the actual most pro-black President in the meantime.

"This president actually wants to prove something to our community, our faith-based community and our ethnic community. The last president didn't feel like he had to," he added, saying of Obama: "He got a pass."

Check it:

And what pass was that? Maybe we missed something because Obama was dragged relentlessly EVERY SINGLE DAY of his presidency simply for trying to make the nation a better place. Which is far better than what we can say about Trump and his racist, classist and gas-lighting rhetoric. Whether you agreed with Obama's policies or not, you can't take away the fact that he wanted a more unified nation. We can't say the same for Trump.

Also, we hear Pastor Scott is allegedly on Trump's payroll, so there's that.

As expected, black folks are dragging these pastors on social media, just like they did when Kanye West, Steve Harvey and more black celebs took a seat at the photo-op table with Trump.

South Carolina megachurch pastor and tv star John Gray has been catching backlash for praying with Trump during the meeting. Now, he's responding to the drama letting folks know that God instructed him to attend the meeting, and that he did so for the greater good.

Oh?

He also made it clear that he was not the pastor praising Trump during the meeting.  Oh, and he made sure to turn his comments off on the Instagram post. Check it:

Optics. It’s never about what it is. It’s about what it looks like. My wife @grayceeme told me “If you go, no one will hear what you say. They won’t understand why you’re there. And any good that could come out of it will get lost in translation.” Wise words from a loving, discerning wife. I had not one thing to gain by being there. Not. One. But I asked the Lord when I was asked to be present in this initial meeting about potential prison reform-that could greatly end up benefitting many people who look just like me-Lord, Do you want me in that room? My first mind was no. The pain of so many is too real. The hurt. The isolation. The sense of disenfranchisement. The real hate that has bubbled to the surface of the national discourse. I myself have been vocal about my personal disagreements with key policy decisions of this administration. I have everything to lose. Credibility. Reputation. Every natural inclination says stay home. Don’t get played. But I did the one thing I can’t shake: I prayed again and asked God. Do you want me in that room? My attendance gives the answer. My heart was pure as was my motive and intention. But the pain of those who have been hurt is real. And I would be a dishonorable man not to acknowledge that. But I will honor what I believe was the mandate on my life to be there and available to God should He choose to give me voice. This post is in no way attempting to invalidate the visceral reaction of those who can’t imagine why I would be in the room. The question becomes who did Jesus turn away from? This said, I went to this meeting to listen. And I do pray for comprehensive prison reform so people can have the second chance they need. And I also understand the pain and questions. May my heart translate beyond the optics. (OH YEAH, the pastor who said the current president was the most pro-Black president ever WAS NOT ME-so get that STRAIGHT) love y’all. This post is closed to comments. This my heart. It needs no commentary. #swipeleft

While he wasn't the one who made the comment about Trump, he damn sure didn't speak up or challenge him in that moment. Silence speaks volumes too.

Pastor Jamal Bryant, who was not there, weighed in on the meeting:

Thoughts on these pastors meeting with Trump, again?
