The patriarch of the legendary Jackson family, Joe Jackson, has died after his battle with pancreatic cancer. We have the full story inside.
At age 89, Joe Jackson has succumb to his battle with pancreatic cancer. Reports state he passed away at an L.A. hospital at 3:30AM Wednesday.
The famous talent manager, credited with creating and giving the world the Jackson 5 and heavily contributing to the development of the solo careers of Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson, has been battling several health issues over the last several years.
Last week, his aggressive cancer diagnosis was revealed as family flocked to be by his side. In 2016, he was hospitalized for a high fever, which he seemingly quickly overcame. A year before that, he suffered a stroke and three heart attacks. His health has been in a turbulent state ever since.
Joe has been both famous and infamous for his methods in developing the careers of all the Jacksons, who have definitely become musical legends and solidified their place in music history.
The King of Pop himself said in a 2003 interview with ITV that his father often beat him and his siblings and emotionally abused them while growing up, all under the guise of whipping them into star shape. Joe admitted to the accusations, but never apologized for them.
The family, including both a daughter born outside his marriage to Katherine Jackson and grandkids, has had a sometimes volatile relationship over the years with Joe, amongst themselves, and with the press. He and Katherine have lived apart for years, but remained married. Paris Jackson and others have posted loving messages about Joe and his health after his cancer diagnosis was revealed.
Joe was often by his children's side through adversity - like during Michael's child molestation trial. MJ's estate issued a statement on Joe's death saying:
“We are deeply saddened by Mr. Jackson’s passing and extend our heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Katherine Jackson and the family,” the statement read. “Joe was a strong man who acknowledged his own imperfections and heroically delivered his sons and daughters from the steel mills of Gary, Indiana to worldwide pop superstardom.”
It continued, “Mr. Jackson’s contributions to the history of music are enormous. They were acknowledged by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002 in a proclamation naming him as Best Entertainment Manager of All Time; he was inducted into Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame in 2014 and his son Michael acknowledged him with a Joe Jackson Day at Neverland.”
The 9th anniversary of Michael's death was earlier this week on Monday.
Our condolences go out to the entire Jackson family.

The 38-year-old actress put Drake and his f*ck boi tendencies on BLAST after she revealed he stood her up on a date. Come on, Drizzy!
“I really don’t have a lot of time for it, but when somebody asks me out on a date that I’m interested in and like hanging out with, I will clear the schedule. I will make some time,” Tiffany explained.
Tiff and Drake met after she starred in his "Nice For What" video, which dropped in April. She said after filming the video they started texting and set a date to get up.
“He’s like, ‘Man, I’m so excited about the video.’ I said, ‘Man, I’m excited about the video too,’” she recalled. “He was like, ‘We should hang out some time,’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’m down to hang out. I’m cool to hang out. You let me know.’ And he was like, ‘Let me take you to dinner.’ And I was like, ‘That sounds good,’ and he was like, ‘OK, cool, cool. We’ll make it work.’”
So, she's hype! Chick is getting everything in order to link up with the Young Money rapper.
“Shoot, I go get my mustache waxed, you know what I’m saying? Get my armpits waxed, got me a nice little dress,” she explained.
Then, ish went left.
“Then I’m like, ‘So what time are we heading out? Are you sending a car? Like, where are we going?’” she recounted. “And then he’s like, ‘Oh, man. My bad, family emergency. I’m in Canada right now.’”
Ahh, hell naw!
“I could have made $100,000 today, but I was trying to see what that D do,” she said. “But all right!”

Netflix's Strong Black Lead channel just launched a new Facebook Watch series, dubbed "Did We Just Become Best Friends", where Netflix stars sit down and have a one-on-one convo answering questions and uncovering lesser known facts about themselves.
Kicking off the series, "The Chi" creator Lena Waithe and "Stranger Things"/"The New Edition Story" star Caleb McLaughlin chat about TV girlfriends, how they have crossed over to entertain different audiences (and the "unicorn" black audience who's in the know), and more. Ugh, we love them.

Cardi B and Offset celebrated the upcoming arrival of their baby girl with a huge Bronx Fairytale Bardi Shower in Atlanta. Flicks and videos of Cardi hitting the dance floor inside...
This baby shower has been stressing Cardi Be out:
Baby shower planning makes me not even wanna do a wedding shit Soo overwhelming
— iamcardib (@iamcardib) June 24, 2018
But, it all came together perfectly for her and her newly revealed HUSBAND Offset.
Last night, the parents-to-be hosted their Bardi Shower: A Bronx Fairytale-themed baby shower in Atlanta. And it was totally fit for a princess. The soiree featured all shades and hues of pink roses that covered the space. The party also featured a Bardi Baby Book Library that was filled with kiddie books like "The Cat in the Hat." Aww!
SHe flew 60 of her friends and family in because she's unable to fly back to NY for her second shower. Doctor's orders!
Guests sipped on pink drinks that were served in the Bardi Baby Bodega, there was a live band and even dancing ballerinas. They clearly went all out. The Invasion of Privacy rapper told Rolling Stoneshe didn't want a typical baby shower that started earlier in the day. She wanted to celebrate her new bundle of joy late, Caribbean style.
“I want a lit baby shower,” she said. “My baby shower’s not starting at no 5:00. My sh*t is going to start at 9 p.m. because that’s how I celebrate, that’s how Caribbean people celebrate. I don’t like baby showers that be at 5 p.m. in the backyard, eating, cooking hors d’oeuvres. Nah.”
The "Bartier Cardi" rapper showed off her baby bump in a nude Tom Ford bustier ruched tulle gown that she accessorized with bold jewelry around her neck and on her hands. Quite Bronx of her.
Singer Monica and her husband/NBA baller Shannon Brown came out to celebrate Baby Bardi.
"No better person to experience this level of joy ! My brother @offsetyrn I’m happy for you & appreciate you asking my family to join yours in such a sacred celebration! Blessings !! The Nawf with The Soufside... #NoTypo," Monica captioned.
Y'all know Mo is friends with everybody.
The Code Red singer also snapped it up with Cardi's sister Hennessy after meeting her for the first time:
Before making their way to the shower, the Browns snapped it up for an impromptu photoshoot outside:
"Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" star Rasheeda was also in the mix.
Peep the videos from the shower - including Cardi living her best life on the dance floor. In heels:
Looks like Baby Bardi will be here any day now. Congrats again to the MARRIED couple!
After celebrating his new bundle of joy, Offset and the Migos release their new video for their chart topping track "Narcos" where Quavo makes his directorial debut. Check it above.

Family, friends and people in the Bronx community came out to lay 15-year-old Lesandro Guzman-Feliz, known to his friends and family as Junior, to rest after he was stabbed to death by gang members. The story has brought heart wrenching emotion to people all arund the county. We have the latest on his funeral, the now arrested suspects, Junior's incredible family, and the outpouring support from celebs and the community.
Hundreds of people came out to pay their respects at the funeral service held for the innocent 15-year-old teen boy, Lesandro Guzman-Feliz (affectionately called Junior), who was brutally murdered by a group of gang members. His murder was a tragic case of mistaken identity.
Junior's violent death was captured on video that has gone viral. Since then, it has touched folks from all over who are sick and tired of the senseless violence. Mourners joined Junior's family for his funeral held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church to say their last goodbyes. He'll be buried at St. Raymond’s Cemetery on Southern Boulevard.
The pallbearers wore Yankees jerseys in honor of his favorite baseball team and Junior was dressed in one (an Aaron Judge jersey) as well. As they carried his casket into the hearse, the people lining the street outside chanted "Justice for Junior!" Family and friends wore t-shirts bearing Junior's face and the hashtag #JusticeForJunior on the back.
Junior's life was tragically cut short when a group of men - allegedly members of a large gang - dragged him outside of a Bronx bodega and began stabbing him with knives and machetes last Wednesday. We now know it was an unfortunate and completely senesless case of mistaken identity.
When the suspects stopped and escaped, Junior tried to run a few blocks to St. Barnabas Hospital, but unfortunately, he didn't make it. He bled to death on some steps right across the street from the hospital without any help from anyone standing nearby. The eartbreaking video was captured and spread online as well.
A total of eight men, who have been identified by police as members of the Trinitarios gang, have been arrested and charged with murder for Junior's death. Six of the men were captured in Paterson, New Jersey and extradited to New York. The other two men were arrested in New York.
After his death, it was reported one of the gang members posted a Facebook post saying they didn't mean to kill Junior. Apparently, they were after another boy who looked like Junior. Police believe they mistook Junior for a young man who posted a sex video that featured a sister of one of the gang members. Junior had nothing to do with it. He dreamed of one day becoming an NYPD detective and was a part of the force's Explorers Program.
It's impossible to watch the story unfold without feeling an overwhelming sense of hurt, disgust and anger. The NY Post spoke to Junior's parents at the wake:
“My heart is broken, really broken,” said Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz’s dad, Lissandro Guzman, at the teen’s wake at the R.G. Ortiz Funeral Home in Mott Haven.
“He’s my son, but he’s also like my best friend.”
On the 38-year-old father’s left hand was a fresh tattoo depicting his son’s face above the message “R.I.P. 2018.”
Guzman-Feliz’s mom said the seven reputed Trinitario gangbangers who hacked her son apart with a machete and knives “changed me inside.”
“This changed my heart. I feel different, they kill me,” Leandra Feliz wailed. “My heart is not the same.”
Below are a few videos from the funeral and burial. The family also had an open casket viewing this week:
Before the funeral...
LaLa and Carmelo Anthony, who've both lived in NY most or all of their lives, came together to go visit Junior's mother at her home in the Bronx Monday.
And La La did so on her birthday.
I just landed from LA & came straight to the Bronx to say a prayer & pay my respects to Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz. I had chills in this spot. So much love out there tonight for him. This innocent boy and his family have been on my mind & my heart nonstop...it’s heartbreaking what happened to him. I’m posting this because I have a platform to spread love and light on his life because most of what u see on the gram is the horrific way he died. Praying for you Junior and your mom and your whole family. Would love to help his family in anyway I can. If anyone can connect me pls do. There is also a go fund me account. This hurts Rest in heaven & be at peace Junior #justiceforjunior #justiceforjunior
Also, Melo was the teen's favorite basketball player.
"This is what I wanted to do for my birthday today," LaLa captioned."Thank you to the gram for connecting me to this family. I wanted to offer our love and support to Lesandro 'Junior’s' family. His sister @__octobersveryown__ reached out and told me he loved Melo. So I asked Mel to go with me. I can’t imagine this type of pain and sadness. His family is strong and may God bless them forever. Seeing his family smile when we walked through that door is something I will never forget. Putting my arms around his mom is something I will never forget. Being in his room is something I will never forget. Pls go to his sister in laws page @c0co__amor to donate to this family. (& before it starts...we did more than bring jerseys and sneakers) just do what YOU can even if it’s $1.. this family will be in my heart forever #justiceforjunior #justiceforjunior"
Harlem rapper Dave East also paid the family a visit.
So sad and senseless.

Terry Crews put toxic masculinity on blast while advocating for sexual assault victims on Capitol Hill yesterday. Find out all he said, plus find out why fans are dragging 50 Cent and Russell Simmons inside...
Terry Crews mustered up the courage to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Captiol Hill yesterday as he advocates for a bill that will give sexual assault victims certain resources to help them.
The "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" actor shared his own personal story about how he was sexually assaulted by a high-powered Hollywood executive (William Morris Endeavor talent agent Adam Venit) at an industry party in 2016 and how the encounter made him feel.
“The assault lasted only minutes, but what he was effectively telling me while he held my genitals in his hand was that he held the power. That he was in control," he shared with the committee.
Terry was there to speak on behalf of the Sexual Assault Survivors' Bill of Rights, which he said said “gives survivors the right to have time to distance themselves from the immediate trauma before making the difficult decision to report the assault to law enforcement.
He put toxic masculinity on blast, specifically pointing out how this way of thinking is destroying our society.
“This is how toxic masculinity permeates culture. As I shared my story, I was told over and over that this was not abuse. This was just a joke. This was just horseplay. But I can say one man’s horseplay is another man’s humiliation. And I chose to tell my story and share my experience to stand in solidarity with millions of other survivors around the world. That I know how hard it is to come forward, I know the shame associated with the assault. It happened to me.”
— NowThis (@nowthisnews) June 27, 2018
The 49-year-old actor also said he wouldn’t do an “Expendables 4” after a producer attempted retaliation. Sen. Chuck Grassley asked Terry if he received any retaliation for speaking out and he said the Expendables producer called his manager and "asked him to drop my case for me to be in the fourth installment of the movie, and if I didn't there would be trouble."
Oh, he tried it.
He previously revealed the producer is Avi Lerner. Not only that, he noted that Avi Lerner and Millennium Films were being sued by a former executive for sexual harassment. He decided to take a stand as well, launching a lawusit against Adam Venit after the Los Angeles County district attorney's office decided not to file charges against him.
“I’m not a small or insecure man, but in that moment, and in this time following, I’ve never felt more emasculated,” he said. “As I watched women and colleagues in my industry come forward to share their #MeToo stories, this shame washed over me again and I knew I needed to act.”
Here's his full speech below:
Then, THIS happened...
50 Cent hopped on social media to clown Terry and Russell Simmons (OF ALL PEOPLE) joined in on it.
The "Power" star/producer posted a meme of Terry that read,“I got raped, my wife just watched.” And then below that, another pic of the actor with a rose in his mouth that said “gym time.”
Russell, who has been accused of sexual assault by several women recently, had the audacity to post a laughing emoji under the meme. Umm..sir. Please have several seats. Oh yeah, and Russell actually asked Terry to drop his case against Adam behind-the-scenes. He dropped that bomb via Twitter, sharing the message the Hip Hop mogul sent him.
Fif also posted this:
Folks are ripping into 50 Cent and Russell for their recklessness:
shit like this is the reason men don’t come forward as victims of sexual assault often. 50 Cent is publicly mocking Terry Crews, allowing Russell Simmons (friends with Crews’ abuser who tried to get him to drop the charges) to openly laugh at him. pic.twitter.com/J16TUvDUYi

And you know what This cat @50cent is a shinning example of toxic masculinity and the reason a lot of brave men feel they can’t share their feelings and trauma cause you niggas have antiquated world views. FUCK @50cent you mad Vivica aint pegging you anymore? And fuck @UncleRUSH

I know Power comes back in a couple days @50cent but to use Terry Crews’ situation to troll is very distasteful.
— . (@KHALEAL___) June 26, 2018
I am so ENRAGED at what happened to #TerryCrews and the fact that @50cent has the guts to make fun of him or what he went through, DISGUSTING, absolutely revolting, #ToxicMasculinity and people with the same mindset as @50cent are a huge part of what is wrong with this world.

Good for him.
It was date night for John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner. See what the couples were up to, plus see flicks of Kelis and Blac Chyna supporting Amber Rose, and shots of Lil Kim in bed with Paris Hilton inside....
When they're not trolling each other online, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are having fun in these L.A. streets.
John and Chrissy seem to have found the perfect balence between career, kids and carving out some alone time. They do just as much playing as they do working. The couple stepped out to attend the GENERAL PUBLIC x RH Celebration at Restoration Hardware in L.A.
The couple made their rounds, snapping it up with daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, her wife Portia de Rossi, Kris Jenner and Kris' boyfriend Corey Gamble.
On Instagram, Chrissy was trolling John over his resemblance to the cartoon character Arthur. First, she posted a picture of their daughter Luna holding an Arthur doll and captioned it, "Luna and daddy." Then, she posted an Arthur/John Legend mashup and captioned it with the lyrics to the show’s theme song. The R&B crooner had to draw the line on that one. He hopped in her comments section and wrote, "Enough is enough." Ha!
Later, Chrissy posted another meme that made fun of her long legs:
A few days before...
John & Chrissy enjoyed a pasta date night at Madeo restaurant in Beverly Hills. They couldn't resist the Italian cuisine, carbs and all.
As for another couple...
Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner are still going strong despite constant rumors that they're broken up. The new parents were spotted holding hands in the backseat of their vehicle after partying at Poppy Nightclub in West Hollywood.
At an event in L.A. recently...
Singer Kelis came out to celeb hotspot Bootsy Bellows in West Hollywood to celebrate with Amber Rose for the launch of her Simply Be Edited collection.
The blue haired pop singer was tapped to perform, DJ Duffey was on the 1s and 2s and Amber's bestie Blac Chyna came out to support. Of course.
Say what you want about these two, but they always support one another and that's refreshing to see.
The Lash Boutique owner rocked a peach two-piece number that she accessorized with a Chanel bag.
"Love & Hip Hop" star/rapper Dream Doll was in the mix.
Singer Justine Skye stuck a few poses in a green high-slit Laquan Smith dress.
"Insecure" star and new dad Sarunas Jackson also came out to party with Amber.
Kelis hit the stage to perform a few of her tracks, including “Trick Me,” “4th July,” “Acapella” and her hit “Milkshake."
“All women should have access to clothes that make them feel sexy, stylish and confident,” Amber Rose said in a statement.“I hope that everyone who wears the collection will feel empowered to love their bodies, celebrate their curves and be the best versions of their true selves.”
The "How To Be A Bad B*tch" author debuted 25 pieces from the summer collection, including crop tops, leggings and bodysuits. And it's catered to everyone, offering sizes 6 to 32 and prices range from $25 to $40. Her line highlights a “sexy aesthetic” for women with “killer curves.” Nice!
At another party...
Lil Kim hopped in bed with Paris Hilton during her Boohoo collaboration party that was held at Delilah in West Hollywood Kimmy hopped on the mic and had everyone dancing on their feet as she performed "The Jump Off" and "It's All About The Benjamins."
“That was f*cking hot!,” Paris Hilton said on the mic. These two go way back as they used to hit the club scene together years ago.
Looking good Kim.
Paris Jackson, Michael Jackson's daughter, was also on the scene. We'd like to note this party happened before her grandfather Joe Jackson passed away.
"LAHH" star Dream Doll was also in the mix for the fun.

Yes, Sammy Sosa is lighter than he was a few years ago. And yes, he's walking foolywang material for bleaching his own skin to "have a better life." But he could care less about what critics have to say. Get into his latest eyebrow raising statements inside...
Over the years, folks have been dragging and clowning former MLB star Sammy Sosa for his appearance. Honestly, claling out his actions aren't wrong, but there is a wrong and right way to do so. We guess. Self hate is nothing to praise and folks need to keep it 100. Especially when kids are privy to the mess.
He's definitely lighter than he was some odd years ago and he admitted in 2009 that he was using a “bleaching cream” that “whitens” his skin. He said he was using the cream to "soften" his skin and admitted that it had caused his skin to change color, but he was adamant that he wasn't "racist." Whatever that would entail in his case.
Now, he's defending himself from all of the backlash he has received over the years for bleaching his skin.
The retired baseball player, who is now a resident of United Arab Emirates, popped back in his cover story in Sports Illustrated's newest issue .
“Look at what I am today,” Sosa told Sports Illustrated. “This is my life, and I don’t take garbage from nobody. I do whatever I want.”
Oop! Basically, mind your damn business.
— Sports Illustrated (@SInow) June 27, 2018
The former MLB outfielder hasn't been back to Chicago since the Cubs banished him over his alleged use of steroids. It's reported he would be welcomed back with open arms if he issued an apology. However, that doesn't seem like it's ever going to happen.
“I never failed a drug test,” Sosa responded. “So why are you asking me about that, when they don’t have nothing on Sosa?”
Speaking of his alleged steroid use, it totally ruined his son's life.
His 21-year-old son, Sammy Sosa Jr., was once an MLB prospect, however he never made it to the big league. He was bullied as a child after his father was accused of using steroids. He said his peers would constantly taunt him, calling him "steroid baby." He ended up quitting baseball because the bullying became too much for him. He never told his dad about it either.
Junior said he doesn't speak to his father about what people say about him online either.
“It doesn’t affect him, but I’m sure he feels a certain way,” Junior said. “Like, ‘Man, I gave so many years and so much hard work for you guys, and now you want to undermine all that because of some decisions I’m making — some personal decisions that don’t affect you at all?’ ”
You can read Sammy's full interview here.

After labeling herself "Beyoncé Squared", chick flips her ish and calls in her entourage in for a booty bootcamp, then threatens to replace them. This, after telling the fitness instructor to cure one complaining bridesmaid's FUPA. She told another bridesmaid "she aint gotta eat everyday!" Who would do it?!
We're still obsessed with this foolywang mess of a show. Sue us.

Michael Rainey Jr.'s career is taking off as he's starring in the new action thriller 211.
TheYBF.com chopped it up with the fresh face about his role in the film and how it compares to his character Tariq in "Power," his feelings about cops these days and more. Get it all inside...
Michael Rainey Jr.'s acting career is taking off and it's showing no signs of slowing down. TheYBF.com got the chance to talk with the 17-year-old actor who's making a name for himself in Hollywood and on the silver screen.
For his latest project, Michael plays a young civilian, named Kenny, who gets caught in the middle of one of the longest and bloodiest bank robberies in police history in a new action thriller titled 211, starring opposite Cory Hardrict and Nicolas Cage. The film was actually inspired by a real bank robbery that happened in Los Angeles in 1997, dubbed the "Battle of North Hollywood."
We asked Michael, if his (annoyingly problematic) "Power" character 'Tariq St. Patrick' was in his 211 character Kenny's shoes, what would Tariq do if he was caught in the middle of a police shootout with brutal bank robbers?
"If Tariq was being bullied, it would be a totally different story," he told TheYBF.com. "I wouldn't even want to talk about that. Tariq would have bugged out. That would be cool to see how Tariq would handle it."
Wouldn't it? Tariq probably would feel right at home if he was involved in a shoot out with police with the way he's been acting on the "Power" series.
In his personal life, the young actor said he hasn't really had any interactions with police, so he doesn't really have an opinion on them. However, he's quite aware of everything going on, particularly with black people.
"I don't really have a outlook on cops because I don't encounter police," he explained. "But, I see the bad cops and I see good cops as well, so I really don't have a set outlook. If I encountered bad cops, then obviously I would have a bad outlook on them. If I had a good experience, I would have a good outlook on them."
With Drake's new album SCORPION dropping tomorrow, Michael's got an opinion about the rapper's beef with G.O.O.D. rapper Pusha T. He said he wasn't picking sides, but he def feels like Pusha murdered Drizzy on wax.
"I can't even say I'm on a team, but I'm not even going to lie, Pusha did body Drake," he said. "OMG! I don't even know why Drake fans are trying to argue that. He murdered him. I'm still waiting for Drake's response, but I don't think he can top Pusha's diss." We agree.
By the way, the youngin' isn't stopping at acting. The YBF Teen is about to make his directorial debut. Yes, before he's even 18.
"This summer I'll be directing a short film," he revealed. "It's going to be my first directing job." Michael will be making his directorial debut this summer as he'll helm a street drama about a kid with an older brother who has gone off the wrong path.
That's all the details he would spill about the project, but we're interested in seeing what he comes up with.
211 is in theaters now!
Also, catch Michael in the new season of "Power," which returns on July 1st at 9pm EST on STARZ.
ESPN has released the sexy bodies in this year’s Body Issue so we’ve rounded up the hottest YBF athletes for some eye candy. Peep the barely there pics inside…
It's that time of year again when ESPN unveils several barely there flicks of professional athletes killing it in their respective sports. And our round up of YBFers making the cut for the Body Issue's 10th anniversary will surely get you hot.
New York Giants running back Saquan Barkley is heating things up with his titillating spread. To achieve a body like his, it definitely takes a lot of effort and hard work in the gym.
The No.2 draft pick, who was drafted in April, isn't a stranger to tough, intensive workouts and said his favorite part of his body to train is his lower body. And we can tell! The 21-year-old athlete also offered up some advice to aspiring football stars.
"I'd say more lower body," Saquan told ESPN about his favorite body part to train. "My favorite part is max-out days because everything just comes together, you know? You can throw some weight around and challenge yourself and beat yourself. But right now, I've been taking more of a different approach [to lifting], working on more explosive stuff. Not a crazy amount of weight but more firing up and working on jumps and exploding off the ground and efficient movement that translates to the football field. That's the big thing that I've been focusing on. If I ever have to tell a kid who is training what could be a main thing he should focus on, it would be that -- efficient movement that translates to the football field. Not putting 600 pounds on his back, maybe 400 or 500, 355, or whatever's reasonable for you, and then controlling the weight down but exploding up with jumping out of your shoes. Those are the new things that I've been really packing in."
We'll see what he brings to the Giants organization when the NFL's preseason kicks off in Auust.
Sprinter/Long Jumper Tori Bowie is a force to be reckoned with as she burst on the scene at the Rio Olympics, winning three medals. Soon after, she copped the title of the World's Fastest Woman when she finished in first place in the 100 meter run at the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London. She did it in 10.85 seconds. Not only that, she's also making a splash in the fashion world as she was featured in a Valentino campaign last year.
The 27-year-old is doing it all and looking damn good while doing so.
"I train my entire body to be strong," she told ESPN. "To be a professional athlete, we need every part to be strong -- the core, the legs, arms. If I could pick one body part, I'd probably pick my thighs, my quads. I feel they're the strongest part my body."
Growing up, she had issues accepting her body even though she was always lean.
"It has taken some time to be able to adapt to being so lean and strong and looking really manly. I have had some insecurities there, but over time I'm starting to accept it and embrace it, because this is the figure I have to have and the strength I have to have in order to be able to do my job. It has taken me some time to grow out of it. The older I get, the more comfortable I get."
Another YBF chick killing it in sports...
Soccer superstar Crystal Dunn is shining bright in the ESPN Body issue. She's only 25-years-old and has already amasses a long resume of accomplishments, which include being the NCAA national champion (with the University of North Carolina in 2012), FIFA Under-20 World Cup champion (2012), and the youngest player to win the National Women's Soccer League MVP and Golden Boot (in 2015, at age 23), just to name a few.
Standing at only 5 feet, 2 inches, Crystal once feared she was too short for the game. However, she was able to find an advantage with her short stature.
"People are so surprised about how small I am compared to other players," she shared with ESPN. "They hear I'm not tall, but when they see me in person, they're like, "How are you competing at a top level?" The funniest thing I hear now while taking photos [with fans] is "Wow, you look so much taller on TV." At first, it wasn't easy. In the early stages, when I realized I was going to be probably the shortest player on the teams I was on, it was hard. I felt like girls were getting recruited over me strictly because of their height, and it made me self-conscious. I had doubts about my height and size on the pitch."
"But I grew -- I mean, I matured -- and understood you can't have it all. I know tall people who want to be shorter. You want what you don't have. Once I understood that, I learned to take advantage of my body. Lucky for me, the ball is only in the air a handful of times a game and that doesn't define success. At 25, I accept who I am. I am not the biggest, but that doesn't mean I can't be the quickest or the smartest and find other ways of being successful."
So motivational! #BlackGirlMagic
Yasiel Puig, right fielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers, is looking like a whole meal! Forget those peanuts. This is STEAK and potatoes.
As amazing as his body looks, the 27-year-old isn't one who likes to go to the gym too often.
"I don't like to go to the gym or anything like that," the Cuban-born player said. "Everything that I have is because God gave it to me. But I have to try to take care of my body a bit more. I am still young, so I can still abuse my body, but not that much."
Yasiel said he sometimes feels like he's from another planet because the hits he endures would certainly knock out some of his teammates.
"I don't consider myself from this world. Sometimes I think I come from Mars because some of the knocks I take on the field that would leave some of my teammates, or any other person, in pain don't hurt me. I can take it and keep playing. When my trainer gives me a massage, I tell him, 'Hey, I don't feel anything.' He says, 'Look, I've treated many clients, and all I have to do is just touch them and they are screaming. With you I have to keep going.' Even he realizes and says, 'You must not be from here.'"
Ha! We'd like to give him a massage just to see something real quick.
For those of you who like their men tall...
Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns loves to work out and he loves the grind of his job. That's evident in his career leading up to the pros. He graduated high school early to join John Calipari at Kentucky, where he played his way into the No. 1 pick in the 2015 NBA draft.
Now, he's flossing his skills on the court and he credits his body for helping him to get to where he is today. At one point in time, he was told his body would get in the way of dreams, but he proved them all wrong.
"Growing up, I'd always been told that my biggest weakness was my body and how that was probably going to hold me back from accomplishing my dreams," he told ESPN.
"It's funny -- full circle now ... I got the chance to prove everyone from college, high school, middle school wrong. I was that chubby kid with not the flashiest body, and now I'm able to represent myself and my family and all the journeys and the trials and tribulations that I went through to get to this body."
Proves you can do anything you set your mind to, despite what everyone around you says.
And last but not least...
We had to add Jerry Rice, retired NFL wide receiver, to the list. The 55-year-old is a 3-time Super Bowl champion, a 13-time Pro Boweler and he has been inducted into the Pro-Football Hall of Fame. Even at his age, he's still got IT.
"I think I'm more muscular now than when I played football. I'm working hard on it. So many athletes just let themselves go after they stop competing. That was something I didn't want to do," he shared.
Gotta love it.
Before Uncle Drew hit theaters today, the cast hit the blue carpet for the comedy's NYC premiere. After the event, they hit the dance floor and were cutting up! Get it all inside...
Hollywood and professional basketball joined forces on the blue carpet at the Uncle Drew premiere held in NYC recently.
What started as a series of Pepsi commercials is now a whole movie. And it hit theaters today. The comedy follows a desperate basketball coach who goes tries his damnedest to fulfill a lifelong dream of entering (and winning) the Rucker Classic street basketball tournament in Harlem. Lil Rel Howery plays Dax, who's desperate to win the cash prize. After meeting Uncle Drew (played by Kyrie Irving), he embarks on a road trip to round up all of Drew's former basketball squad (including Shaquille O'Neal, Chris Webber, Reggie Miller, Nate Robinson and Lisa Leslie).
The Get Out actor stepped on the carpet, bringing his kiddies along for the ride.
“I got the chance to work with people I look up to,” Lil Rel told Variety. “It was surreal. To see them come into our world was great.”
Boston Celtics baller Kyrie Irving should have showed up in his Uncle Drew costume. Ha! Instead, he kept it dapper and suave on the carpet.
Former NBA baller/Uncle Drew star Shaq brought all of his kids with him to check out the family friendly comedy. Hmm...we wonder where his girlfriend Laticia Rolle was.
Aww! Love seeing this.
Three-time WNBA MVP Lisa Leslie looked angelic in a white dress with her kiddies. We're sure they loved seeing their mom made up like an old lady in the film.
Uncle Drew stars Reggie Miller, Erica Ash and Chris Webber hit the carpet for the basketball fun.
— Chris Webber (@realchriswebber) June 28, 2018
From what we're seeing on Twitter, folks are saying Chris Webber was THE funniest person in the film.
J.B. Smoove, who stars in the film and his wife Shahidah Omar served up coupledom vibes on the carpet.
“You would think these guys are only competitive on the court, but they have pride in all of their work,” J.B. Smoove told Variety. “They show up on time. They work hard, and they are committed to their characters.”
"EXTRA" co-host AJ Calloway, who has recently denied those sexual allegations brought against him, and "Entertainment Tonight" co-host Kevin Frazier linked up on the carpet.
Actor J.R Martinez was all smiles on the carpet.

We've got the rap gospel according to Kendrick Lamar in the newest issue of Vanity Fair. Find out what he said about using the n-word, politics and his thoughts on Kanye West's slavery comments inside...
2018 is looking real bright for Kendrick Lamar after he unleashed his critically acclaimed DAMN album. He copped the Pulitzer Prize for Music (and became the first rapper to do so) and he earned Rolling Stone's Album of the Year honor. Not only that, he has scooped up tons of awards, including several Grammy Awards this year.
The conscious rapper sat down with Vanity Fair to discuss his how his upbringing has influenced his music, why he defends his right to use the n-word, he explains why he hates talking politics and he even addresses Kanye West's problematic slavery and Trump comments.
Below are the highlights:
On how his childhood has helped shaped his music:
“What gives me an advantage in my upbringing is the duality of seeing one of the most beautiful moments of me being 6 years old, to the most tragic moment of being 13 or 14, and make that connection so the person [listening] can really see the conflict. It was a mindfuck, for sure. I would wake up one morning, and it would be cartoons and cereal and walking back from school. And at 4 P.M., we’d be having a house party ‘til 11 P.M. . .. and people [were] shooting each other outside the door. That was my lifestyle. And it’s not only mine; it’s so many other individuals’. And I wanted to tell that story.”
On why he feels he should be able to continue to use the N-word:
“Let me put it to you in its simplest form. I’ve been on this earth for 30 years, and there’s been so many things a Caucasian person said I couldn’t do. Get good credit. Buy a house in an urban city. So many things—’you can’t do that’—whether it’s from afar or close up. So if I say this is my word, let me have this one word, please let me have that word.”
On why he can't stand to talk to people about politics:
“I just get too frustrated.”
On his thoughts about Kanye West's slavery comments and his comments about Trump:
“He has his own perspective, and he’s on this whole agree to disagree thing, and I would have this conversation with him personally if I want to."
You can check out Kendrick's full interview here.
Peep the video below that chronicles how K-Dot went from just a kid from Compton to winning a Pulitzer Prize award below:
Does Kendrick Lamar offer up a good enough explanation to continue using the N-word? Or, do you think he - and everyone - should stop using it all together?

Tessa Thompson has heard y'all saying she and Janelle Monae are a couple, and she's not necessarily here to correct you. The Sorry To Bother You & Creed 2 star confirms her bisexuality, gushes about her rumored electric-lady-boo and being bullied for her mixed race in the new issue of Net-A-Porter. Plus, she's fab as hell in the fashion spread.
She's outspoken as hell about everything from #TimesUp to #MeToo to making it known black actresses deserve to occupy the same money-making spaces as their white counterparts.
Tessa Thompson told Net-A-Porter in the new issue:
“This is not just a job, this is my life,’ Thompson observes. “So, I’m like, how do I want to spend it? What do I want my story to be?”
She toys with using her platform to speak for others while till maintaining her privacy. So that would explain why she's outspoken about her sexuality, but still won't talk about her rumored boo thang, singer Janelle Monae. She starred Janelle's love interest in her Dirty Computer visual album and a few projects, and has walked the red carpet with her and been spotted on vacay being all cutesy.
“It’s tricky, because Janelle and I are just really private people and we’re both trying to navigate how you reconcile wanting to have that privacy and space, and also wanting to use your platform and influence,” says Thompson. “I can take things for granted because of my family – it’s so free and you can be anything that you want to be.
I’m attracted to men and also to women. If I bring a woman home, [or] a man, we don’t even have to have the discussion.” She pauses in her dissection of a chunk of avocado toast, and puts down her knife and fork.
That was something I was conscientious of in terms of this declaration around Janelle and myself. I want everyone else to have that freedom and support that I have from my loved ones,” she continues. “But so many people don’t. So, do I have a responsibility to talk about that? Do I have a responsibility to say in a public space that this is my person?”
We love that she recognizes her privilege of coming from a free spirited family where she can be so open about her sexuality, and keeps that in mind while encouraging others to live in their own truths.
Tessa doesn't flat out say they're dating or officially a couple, but she's not stopping others from saying it either.
“We love each other deeply,” she says. “We’re so close, we vibrate on the same frequency. If people want to speculate about what we are, that’s okay. It doesn’t bother me.”
Oh. We guess you gotta be close to somebody to do that sexy, girly, vagina pants-filled "Pynk" music video they starred in together:
Tessa's the daughter of a black Panamanian musician father, and a mother who is half-Mexican, half-white. Growing up on both coasts had her switching schools multiple times and she ws trying to find a place where she would fit in diversity wise:
“One school in particular was really racist, and I was having a lot of trouble with being bullied,” she recalls. “Kids just make do, they’re pretty resilient, but my mom really wasn’t okay with it.”
She also uses her blackness to push for more black actresses to land money making opportunities, like fashion campaigns. And no, it's not for trivial reasons.
“It’s become sort of a thing for actresses to be like, ‘A red carpet? Pshaw, I’d rather be in sweats,’ but I love to be in a dress,” she enthuses.
Thompson was shot for Rodarte’s FW18 lookbook along with Kirsten Dunst, Grimes and Rowan Blanchard. Were a large campaign to come her way, she “certainly would not say no. Campaigns allow you freedom. For a lot of actresses, it’s the way that they make most of their money,” she says. “And if you are a black woman, occupying that space and having that sort of visibility, internationally, is huge. There’s this idea that our faces don’t sell and so when we do get those campaigns, they show people that they do."
We still have more than 24 hours before "Power" is back on our TV screens. To hold us all over, TheYBF.com chopped it up with Omari Hardwick and he gets deep while explaining his problematic a**, on-screen son, "Tariq".
"Power" season 4 left us all in turmoil as "Tariq St. Patrick" (played by Michael Rainey Jr.) watched dirty cop Ray Ray take his little sister Raina's life in the street. And we all wanted to fight Tariq, who essentially let his innocent twin sister take the bullet meant for him.
After the murder, Tariq was still on some crazy ish, lying to police about what really happened to his sister. Well, he didn't exactly lie. He said he didn't know what went down, but we all know he was just feet away from his sister and watched her get gunned down in the street.
So who's to blame for Tariq's problematic a** decisions and unpredictable behavior? According to Omari Hardwick, it's Ghost's fault!
We chopped it up with the super talented "Power" star about why we should all be mad at Ghost for Tariq's reckless actions. He revealed that being a father, you pretty much failed as a parent if you can't trust your kid.
"Everything is about fathers and sons," Omari told TheYBF.com's correspondent James Terrell."That doesn't denote that it's not about fathers and daughters, but it's truly about fathers and sons. And certain ways of breaking cycles that have ill-fated, we know."
It feels like Tariq is going to take a turn for the worse and Ghost really isn't sure how to handle it, because his son is a reflection of himself. #Deep
"If I can't necessarily trust Tariq but so far, the light has to be shown back to me," Omari said. "He doesn't trust me. I haven't been honest with him. So we did want to see Ghost put his foot in his son's a**. The reality is, we come from a culture that often does a lot of physical show of punishment because we got and received a lot of physical show of punishment."
While fans may have wanted to see Ghost gather Tariq within an inch of his spoiled life, because that's how we all grew up, it seems to be more than that for Ghost. Omari said his co-star Lela Loren told him, "Ghost is not necessarily that into being honest," and he couldn't agree more.
"It's not about not knowing how to be honest, but it's about not being taught how to do it," Omari explained. "We root for Ghost, but we root for him because we do see that he's trying to figure out how to be honest. But how are you honest about the realities of that which you didn't want to do?"
Here's how Ghost sees it, according to Omari: Since Tariq's mom "Tasha St. Patrick" (Naturi Naughton) and uncle Tommy (Joseph Sikora) "wanted to do the drug thing," why should he have to tell him about something he didn't even want to do in the first place.
Hmm..what do you all think about that? Does Ghost just need to whoop Tariq's a** one good time? For the culture and off principle? Or, is it too late?! Maybe they need a heart-to-heart and a good whooping because Tariq is spiraling out of control. And we.can't.take.it.
In case you missed it, check out our interview with "Power" star Michael Rainey Jr. where he talks about how Tariq would handle the police in a different situation HERE.
We're hours away from "Power" returning for Season 5! Tune in tomorrow (Sunday, July 1) night at 9p ET on Starz & the Starz app.
A 15-year-old high school graduate was struggling to pay for college after graduating at such a young age, but it appears the Internet has pulled through for him! #RealLifeBlackExcellence
Get the latest on the super brilliant YBF teen, plus deets on twin brothers in New Jersey who were named co-valedictorians inside....
A teen prodigy in Greensboro, North Carolina accoplished a big feat when he graduated from Page High School earlier this month - two years early - while on a fast track to college that resulted in him graduating with an impressive 4.5 GPA. He plans on attending UNC in Charlotte where he'll major in computer engineering and minor in aerospace engineering in the Fall. Remarkable right? Indeed it is.
However, 15-year-old Ishmale Powell can't afford all the college expenses and has been turned down by every scholarship he applied for!
“That’s really worrying me," the disappointed teen told local station WFMY News. ”I’m not sure how I’m going to pay for tuition or anything because I come from a single-parent home and it’s been rough.”
Ishmale's father, Shawn Powell, is on a disability fixed income and is unable to afford the remaining $40,000 for room, board and other college fees. “I have been always on my son real hard and trying to make sure he does the right thing,” his father said.
Shawn is moving to the college town so his son can go to UNC from home. He said his son has $3000 in Pell Grant and $6000 from the UNC system for his first year of college. Sheesh. Gotta love the dedication. But this teen definitely deserves somebody's scholarship. Even if it's in the form of Go Fund Me:
A few days ago, Ishmale met with the UNC Engage Me! program. Engage Me! is a Lee College of Engineering diversity and inclusion program designed to successfully recruit, retain and graduate multicultural students with degrees from engineering, engineering technology, and construction management programs.
Today we met incoming freshman Ishmale Powell and his parents at SOAR - Meet the College (Engineering). We are excited to have him join the Niner Nation family.
— ENGAGE ME! (@UNCC_EngageMe) June 28, 2018
Ishmale started a GoFundMe page with a goal of $25,000 to help fund his college career. He met and exceeded his goal in 12 days, so it looks like he's covered for his first year.
Ishmale Powell, at 15 years old, just graduated high school with a 4.5 GPA and is on his way to college, but has yet to receive any scholarships to cover tuition.
He is trying to raise $25k.

As for more YBF teens killing it big academically...
Two New Jersey twins were celebrated for being 'la crème de la crème at Woodbridge High School.
Fraternal 18-year-old brothers Malik and Miles George were named co-valedictorians and they are now headed to their dream school together: Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
They took turns speaking during their oratory address to their graduating class of 400 classmates.
"It was an amazing experience," Malik said. "To have all four years to culminate that moment is an enriching experience."
It's no surprise the twins are headed for greatness. They both scored nearly perfect SAT scores and they don't have any grades lower than an A- in high school. The last time they received a B was in 3rd grade!
Now, they're living out their dream of attending MIT. They were so excited about the school, they applied early and found out they got in weeks before their birthday in December. SWEET!
"It was our dream school," Miles said. " We were looking at top ten schools and we fell in love with everything it had to offer."
Also, the day before the twins walked across the stage, their parents celebrated their 20th anniversary. Aww.
Congrats to the twins!

Drake's new 25-track A-side, B-side album dropped just one day ago and folks are definitely still in their bag about it. Find out why people are't buying his excuse for hiding his son, and if that was Bella Hadid he was rapping about smashing & ghosting...
After Pusha Tea lyrically murdered Drake rapping on "Story of Adidon" - with bass in his voice - "You are hiding a child!", Drake's response that he allegedly made before the diss track has folks scratching their heads.
On Champagne Papi's new Scorpion album, he confirmed multiple times he has a kid, but his lyrics on "Emotionless" have us like Chile Please. He seems to be more shamed about having a seed with a porn star (Sophie Brusseaux, above) than he is about smashing a porn star raw.
If Rihanna was his BM, Drake would’ve had the ultrasound pic as the album cover
— Rian Huntley (@dat916dude) June 29, 2018
“I wasn’t hidin’ my kid from the world/I was hidin’ the world from my kid.”
He explained in the next bars:
“From empty souls who just wake up and looked to debate/Until you starin’ at your seed, you can never relate,” he continues. “Breakin’ news in my life, I don’t run to the blogs/The only ones I wanna tell are the ones I can call.”
You hiding a child from the whole world he was born into? For how long? Till he's 18? 40? Also, it's possible to acknowledge you have a child and never expose them to the masses. Bey & Jay did it with twins for a whole year, and we have rarely seen them since. If they can do it...
On “8 Out of 10,” Drake spit “Kiss my son on the forehead.” Then on "March 14th," he starts re-defining what single fatherhood means. Apparently, it now means seeing your kid twice and possibly sending some money.
“Yesterday morning was crazy/I had to come to terms with the fact that it’s not a maybe,” he raps.
Then he confirmed it all with an MJ reference saying, “She not my lover like Billie Jean but the kid is mine.”
We guess he finally found time to get that DNA test.
It’s breaking my spirit
I hate when I hear it
I used to challenge my parents on every album
Now I’m embarrassed to tell them I ended up as a co-parent
Always promised the family unit
I wanted it to be different because I’ve been through it
Most people forgot about the Pusha diss track and now love Drake again. That's how it works. The hype is real and folks have been furiously writing down Instagram captions from his lyrics and lusting after his bearded zaddy-ness.
I can't seem to understand why the world feels like Drake was obligated to tell anyone he had a kid. who tf are y'all to him? lmao he's an artist! that's all. not a reality TV star. he doesnt own anyone anything. y'all swear these famous ppl signed up to live stream their lives
— (@thehomielina) June 30, 2018
Everybody ain't buying it though. Twitter's been on fire for like, 36 hours, with questions that need answers and shade.
I love Drake, but the baby was born in October and the paternity test was in March? Those are definitely deadbeat shenanigans.
— Kimberly Nicole Foster (@KimberlyNFoster) June 30, 2018
All these years I thought my mom didn’t take me out when I was a baby because I was ugly, she was just trying to hide me from my haters. Thanks Drake
— Michael Blackson (@MichaelBlackson) June 29, 2018
I don’t buy drake hiding his baby because of the internet, etc. it’s because his BM is a porn star
— Geneviève (@MsGenevieve_) June 29, 2018
Drake wasn’t protecting his son from the world. He was protecting hisself cus he didn’t want the world to know he got a thottie pregnant lmao.
If it was somebody he really wanted to have a baby with nigga would’ve posted the ultrasound nshit lmao
— Mike from Michigan (@Well_Damn_Jesse) June 29, 2018
Drake is really disgusted by who he had a kid with. Beige papi said, “Just trying to make sure I see him sometimes” about his kid. Yoooo. He a fr deadbeat. 2018 is wild.
— Bené (@beneviera) June 30, 2018
Drake: i didn't hide my Child from the world, i hid the world from my child.

Drake do be saying some basic shit, and y’all stans be just eating it up
— LUPUΣ REX (@drelatrell) June 30, 2018
Drake has the most passive aggressive misogyny I’ve ever seen lmao
— G (@LILUZIHURT) June 30, 2018
drake is def invincible after all this stuff. album dropped and it’s as if the pusha t dissed never happened
— ray polanco jr (@raypolancojr) June 30, 2018
Drake a good artists but he raps and sings about the same things he did in his past projects except for the shit about his child. Cole has a whole different inspiration for every one of his albums. Cole way better.
— ً (@bucktoothshawty) June 30, 2018
Anyway. There’s like four good songs on this album. Drake needs an editor. He’s like a writer who can’t let go of any of their words so an editor has to do it to make the piece reach its full potential.

Bella Hadid is also chiming in. Drake was rumored to have been smashing the model, who is his frenemy The Weeknd's ex.
He referenced a supermodel sister and her father multiple times, so it's only right folks jumped to the conclusion the rumor were true:
“You and your sister/Too hot to handle.” Bella’s sister, Gigi, is also a model. (From “Finesse”)
“I want my baby to have your eyes/I’m going against my own advice. Should I do New York? I can’t decide/Fashion Week is more your thing than mine.” Now, this could be Bella, or Rihanna, or someone else completely. (From “Finesse”)
“My house is full of supermodels just like Mohamed Hadid.”
Bella claims it aint her though:
Not me!!! that’s disrespectful. WHY CANT PPL BE FRIENDS W/o all the insinuation

She also said she wasn't getting back with The Weeknd. And then this happened.
And then there's this: Drake's Scorpion has broken Spotify records for biggest opening day with 132 million album streams globally and 80.5 million in the U.S.
Back on 6 God status.
We thought Damon Dash and Lee Daniels worked out their money issues a few years ago, but apparently tha aint so. And Dame wants.his.coin. Get the latest on their million dollar misunderstanding inside...
Back in 2015, we told you Damon Dash and Lee Daniels had squashed their money beef after Dame dismissed a multi-million dollae lawsuit against Lee in response to loaning the director $2 million for a few projects.
Dame had filed a $25 million lawsuit against Lee due to a dispute over ownership rights for films such as Precious, The Butler, and his hit FOX series “Empire.”
The Hip Hop mogul said he gave the famed director a loan for $2 million to help produce Lee’s 2004 project, The Woodsman. Dame said in return for the $2 milli, he was suppose to get executive producer credits, 50% rights on the film, and a guarantee that the investment would be repaid with interest from Lee. Dame also made claims that he brought on artists such as Kanye West to perform at venues where the film’s ads would run to help with promo.
Rather than being repaid, Dame shared he was offered a new deal from Lee where he would roll over the debt to other projects he was working on, such as the 2005 flick Shadowboxer. Dame accepted his offer and demanded credits, ownership and compensation. He argued Lee’s most recent works also fell under their contractual agreement.
In April 2015, both parties filed papers dismissing the lawsuit, but apparently ish still hadn't been worked out.
Earlier this week, Dame ran up on Lee at an Anita Baker concert to question him about his money:

Lordt. Dame's chill level was set to zero. While Dame was all riled up, Lee remained calm (the MOST annoying thing a person can do when you're redy to go at their neck) and told him he would give him his number to have a conversation later.
It wasn't over there...
After Dame pulled up on Lee, he also filed a $5 million lawsuit (yes, another lawsuit) against Lee for fraud. He reportedly sued Lee promised Dame he would make him an executive producer for a Richard Pryor biopic, as well as 5% of Lee's backend profits for the film, but then exited the deal. In the paperwork, Dame made claims that he and his lawyers have attempted to work out a deal with Lee, but were unable to.
Dame went on TMZ, labeling Lee a "culture vulture" and explained exactly why:
I don’t know why I have to go through this just to get the money I gave you bro @theoriginalbigdaddy or at least explain why your just not paying me...your a #culturevulture @culturevultures_book ...thank you @tmz_tv @tmzlive @vanlathan for the platform #staytuned whoever works with Lee please ask him about this don’t just look the other way...you make money off the same culture you steal from and we from the same place
Here's the full interview below:
Now, Lee is finally waving his white flag. He said in an interview with "Raq Rants" he's in a space where he can pay Dame the money he's owed.
He said, "We're gonna squash it -- and I feel good about it, he needs it right now and I'm happy to help him, 'cause he was helping me."
We peeped that queen level shade.
Check it below:
Dame caught wind of his interview and now, everything appears to be good. Hopefully.
We’re good bro...appreciate the honesty...time to move forward let’s forget the bubble gum shit and get the money... #staytuned @culturevultures_book available now thank everybody for all there support #honorablepeoplesticktogether @tmz_tv @deadline @foxnews @pagesix @vanlathan @vanityfair @voguemagazine @wsj @wwd @theshaderoom @worldstar
Well, there you have it.
Model and radio host Melyssa Ford just survived a near fatal crash involving an 18-wheeler on an L.A. freeway. The photos of the aftermath prove the scary accident VERY likely could have ended differently. Full story inside.
"Hollywood Unlocked" podcast host and actress Melyssa Ford is lucky to be alive after a horrific car accident Thursday that resulted in her needing surgery.
We're told the 41-year-old former video vixen was riding westbound on LA’s Ventura Freeway to Glendale when an 18-wheeler merged into her lane and clipped her back tire. The "impact sent her 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited into a tailspin and the vehicle flipped three times before landing upside down."
She was rushed to an L.A. hospital, where she is still under constant observation, after EMTs surrounded her while lying at the side of the freeway as she when she regained consciousness. TheYBF.com istold that the extremely scary situation "caused her to sustain serious head injuries, including a skull fracture, concussion and bleeding in her brain amongst other severe cuts and bruises."
She also has a 10-inch open wound that had to be surgically closed using stitches and staples in addition to several large gashes on her arms and legs.
Her rep tells us "God and her seatbelt saved her life" and "she's lucky to be alive." We're told she's "ok, but in bad shape."
She was found lying beside the crushed jeep covered in blood, and the pictures show just how extensive the damage is.
Melyssa was on her way to close friends Tank & Zena Foster's bridal shower. Happy to know she's alive and on the road to recovery, even though it's likely going to be a long one.

It's going to be a big season for Rotimi's character Dre and Joseph Sikora's character Tommy in the new season of "Power." The actors dropped some tidbits on TheYBF.com on what fans can expect and it may shock you. Get into it inside...
Season 5 of the hit crime drama series "Power" finally premieres tonight and we've got a little something to hold you over before your ears hear,"They say this is big rich town, yeaaahhh...."
Quick recap! In the season finale of season 4, Tommy (Joseph Sikora) found out that Dre had him set up and now he's out for blood. When Tommy gets a location on Dre, he found out that he was meeting with dirty cop Ray Ray, the man who gunned down young Raina in the street. Tommy ends up figuring out that Ray Ray is the shooter after Kanan tips him off.
Tariq ends up getting to Ray Ray's apartment first and ends up shooting him dead. Ghost, Tasha and Tommy rush the room moments after Tariq shoots Ray Ray. Ghost asked Tariq how did he know where to find Ray Ray and he told them Dre. That's the moment they both knew he had to be next on their hit list.
So, here we are. Wondering WTF's going to happen when season 5 starts.
Rotimi/"Dre" is about to emerge as the vilian we love to hate, and it's going to shock the sh*t out of you.
"I think this season, people are going to see how intelligent he actually is, how brillant he his, how calculated he is," Rotimi told YBF correspondent James Terrell during a recent sit down.
"But also, they're going to be able to respect that he didn't have a Ghost /Tommy relationship where his brothers learned from each other. He's going trial and error trying to figure out how to be this kingpin he's been wanting to be. So, the journey of that this season to see how he's going to handle it when everybody's against him is probably one of the most brilliant things Courtney [Kemp] has done this season."
This dynamic among Dre, Ghost and Tommy will be a doozy this season. And we can't forget Kanan (50 Cent) since he seemingly joined forces with Ghost and Tommy following Raina's death. Definitely not the three amigos you ever want joining forces against you.
Rotimi tells us he went back and studied Ghost's mannerisms from season 1 & 2 (come on, ACTING!), He wants fans to see he's similar to Ghost, but that he's his own man.
We've already seen the season premiere, and we gotta say, he nails it. That's what we call: Work.
As Dre tries to make his rise to the top of the drug game, Tommy is trying to figure out how to get his own ish together. He's looking for revenge and redemption and he'll do anything to get it.
"It's going to be life and death [for Tommy]," Joseph told TheYBF.com recently.
"This is going to be a huge season in many ways for Tommy. He's going to put it all on the line. But, we get to see a Tommy who has remade himself in his own image many times. I think this is the first season where he's going to remake himself in a new image. I think he has finally learned at least partially from his old faults and has capitalized them and will actually use some of the finesse he learned from Ghost, but essentially he's equal parts Kanan and equal parts Ghost."
He said Tommy is 99.8% exactly like Tommy was in the first episode of the first season, but there's an itty bitty difference. And that difference is EVERYTHING, and was "exciting for me to deliver."
Since we met Tommy, he has always been the trigger-happy, no-nonsense gangsta who would do anything Ghost asked him to do. "Canceling Christmas" for Tommy never seemed like an issue for him, except when he took the life of his then-pregnant girlfriend Holly. R.I.P.
He dished to us:
"The killing Holly scene was like probably my toughest day at work. That day at work was 12-14 hours, but just the killing Holly scene was 10 hours with a lunch break in the middle. I didn't eat. I was like ummm...."
Damn. We can't blame him. The scene was just as hard to watch.
Well folks, it's almost time! The new season of "Power" kicks off TONIGHT at 8pm EST on STARZ. Y'all ready?!
