Bill Cosby and R. Kelly are feeling the HEAT. Get the latest inside...
Following Bill Cosby's guilty verdict in his sexual assault case last month, the Kennedy Center has snatched TWO lifetime achievement awards from the actor, joining several other institutions.
The comedian/actor was the 1998 recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors, which is the lifetime achievement award given to artists who have made an impact on American culture. He was also given the center's Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in 2009.
“As a result of Mr. Cosby’s recent criminal conviction, the board concluded that his actions have overshadowed the very career accomplishments these distinctions from the Kennedy Center intend to recognize,” the venue’s trustees said in a statement, noting it was the first time the Kennedy Center had rescinded an honor in its 46-year history. Yikes.
The Kennedy Center's decision comes less than a week after the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which awards the Oscars, wiped his name off the member list. Academy board members said Bill violated standards of conduct adopted in response to Harvey Weinstein's sexual misconduct. They also booted Oscar winning director Roman Polanski.
Last week, the Television Academy, which awards the Emmy Awards, erased Cosby from its Hall of Fame. While he's gone from the Hall of Fame, a spokesman said there were "no plans at the present time to rescind his awards," which include a humanitarian prize and four Primetime Emmy Awards.
Right before he was set to go on retrial, Ohio State University snatched his honorary degree that he was awarded when he spoke at commencement in 2001. Cosby's alma mater Temple University, Yale University and several other universities ahve also scooped up his honorary degrees.

The #MuteRKelly campaign continues with Spotify giving the singer the boot.
The streaming service has removed Kellz from its playlists and will no longer promote the artist due to "Hate content" or "hateful conduct." Rapper XXXTentacion's music was also removed. Both Kellz and XXX have been accused of sexual misconduct.
The streaming service created a new policy “Hate Content & Hateful Conduct,” which was designed to “be consistent with (Spotify’s) distinct roles in music and media,” BBC reported.
"Hate content" is described by the company as "content that expressly and principally promotes, advocates, or incites hatred or violence against a group or individual based on characteristics, including, race, religion, gender identity, sex, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, veteran status, or disability.”
Users can still search for his music, however, Spotify will no longer promote it on recommendation features. Some debate as to why R. Kelly and XXX's music has been dropped, but not others?
Aishah White, a spokeswoman for XXXTentacion, sent an email to the NY Times for a comment, writing, “I don’t have a comment, just a question. Will Spotify remove all the artists listed below from playlists?” She included the names of 19 musicians, including Gene Simmons, Michael Jackson, Ozzy Osbourne and Dr. Dre, who have been accused over the years of sexual misconduct or physical violence."
Folks are raising the question of where the line is drawn between longtime accusations and legal guilt, even if majority do agree R.Kelly should be muted.
The #MuteRKelly campaign called for the singer to be boycotted and several YBFers have spoken out in support, including Lupita Nyong'o, Kerry Washington,Viola Davis and Ava DuVernay. Radio personality Tom Joyner promised he would not play any of R. Kelly's music before he retires next year. Kellz is scheduled to hit the stage in Greensboro, N.C. tonight.
As of the time of this post, the show will go on unlike his Chicago show that got canceled a few weeks ago.
Also, we have the latest in the newest R. Kelly sexual assault case, where a woman claims he gave her herpes, http://theybf.com/2018/05/07/r-kellys-alleged-sexual-misconduct-is-about... ">HERE.

Azealia Banks breaks down why she longer bumps to Cardi B, why she supported Trump and her thoughts on RZA speaking on that incident involving Russell Crow. Get it all inside...
Azealia Banks makes her first appearance on Power 105's "The Breakfast Club" where she readily discusses any controversy surrounding her. The Harlem native stays in the headlines for her outspoken opinions, however, she said she wishes folks would stop caring so much about her "shitty" opinions.
Speaking of opinions, the"212" rapper was asked to explain why she called Cardi B an "illiterate, untalented rat." The 26-year-old rapper said she felt a "culture shock" when Cardi started glowing up because we went from having meaningful conversations when Beyonce dropped Lemonade to reciting Cardi lyrics.
"When I look at black women’s culture as a whole thing and then you think about the media and the power that the media has," she said. "How the media had the power to get rid of me and the media has the power to make anyone the forefront."
She said Cardi is able to be a representation of black women, but a different type of black woman could never get away with what she gets away with.
“I think that it's very concerning to me that this conversation surrounding black women's culture," she explained. I feel like maybe two years ago, the conversation surrounding black women’s culture was really reaching an all-time high and we were really like discussing our power amongst ourselves, Beyoncé came out with Lemonade. There was just this really, really, really intelligent conversation going on nationally and then everything just kind of changed and then it was like Cardi B, you know what I mean?"
"I’m just talking about this caricature of a black woman that black women themselves would never be able to get away with. Like if my spelling and grammar was that bad, I'd be canceled. If Nicki Minaj spelled like that, they'd just be ragging on her all day."
"I think that when it comes to this female rap thing that we have, I just don't understand how we go from like...or just, not female rap thing, this black women's culture thing, I just don't understand how we go from Beyonce, Lemonade, Solange, Black Lives Matter, all these great conversations to....this."
The Harlem native said it's unfair for the women who are REALLY about the craft.
"I just don't understand like the extreme lack of couth. I've never seen that at the forefornt of female rap. I didn't know that the bar would be lowered so much. It's kind of like a culture shock. The bar went from Beyonce, Lemonade, this very extremely intelligent conversation..."
"When you're talking about this female rap thing. B*tches that really push their pen. Girls that live, sweat, breathe this art thing. I just feel like it's unfair to the real institution of female rap."
Hmmm. Every industry can be unfair, and being a star is VERY different than being an artist. Azealia's messages aren't necessarily wrong, generally speaking, but who she applies them to, the overgeneralizations and constant negativity that many folks complain about, don't necessarily always make them right either.
With the backlash Kanye West has been receiving over his Trump bromance, Charlamagne brought up the fact that the "Anna Wintour" rapper was one of the first black artists he remembered who supported Trump.
"I just wanted a tax break. Everybody keeps wanting to pin this love for Trump on me but that wasn't the point. Either way you go, you're getting f*cked. Wouldn't you want to get an extra $30,000 on your tax return?"
After he became president, she said Trump was being "sloppy" and that he's "cheapening the presidency." She said Trump reminds her of the adult Eric Cartman (South Park cartoon character).
So basically, like many Trump supporters, you got what you wanted and now you don't like it.
The "Ice Princess" rapper responded to RZA finally coming forward to admit that Russell Crow did in fact spit in her direction. He originally said it didn't happen when Azealia told everyone about how he spit AND choked her. The situation caused Azealia to not want to promote the movie she and RZA starred in, titled Love Beats Rhymes, and cut ties with the rapper/actor.
"I don't give a f*ck about RZA. He can call me when he has some money for me. If RZA was smart he should have just shut the fuck up...We have a movie to promote. Who’s gonna wanna see a movie in which the director has slandered the lead actress? Like, what the fuck are you thinking?"
Peep the clip below:
Recently, Banks took to her Instagram Stories to reveal she was sexually assaulted. She ended up deleting it, but the radio hosts asked her about it.
"I got GHB’d at a bar. I was staying at a hotel because I was doing press...I was just drinking and some guy came over and started buying me drinks.
"Envy: White guy?
"Banks: Of course...I highly doubt a black guy would drug me. Maybe he would. I don’t f*cking know...so white guy comes up. I’m already tipsy and he’s just buying me drinks. And I guess between then and there he dropped something into my drink. We get upstairs to the room and we’re drinking some more...So I keep trying to kick this guy out but he keeps sticking his tongue in my a**...And every time I tried to kick him out, he just went and started eating my a**...When someone’s tongue is in your butt, what the f*ck are you going to do?...and one thing led to another and things just—I just started getting heavy. My body just started getting heavy and I realized something was wrong. And I just started screaming and I kind of stumbled and kicked him out. And then I f*cking collapsed on the bed. And cried. Once I realized that I was on drugs that I didn’t know I was on. I never felt anything like that.

Gabrielle Union is super fun and super lit (at all times). But don't get it twisted. Chick also gets on her Mama Bear steez, pushes hard for heroines and isn't scared of sexual assault discussions. It's clearly rubbed off on the rest of her "Breaking In" cast too. Our exclusive chat inside...
From being uber protective of her fellow Clovers to acting like Mama Bear to save her onscreen (and off screen) kids, Gabrielle Union's wearing every hat these days. She put on her Executive Producer wide brim hat - which means she's putting her money where her mouth is to make sure this flick gets a push - for Breaking In, so we definitely needed to talk to her and the cast about it all.
TheYBF.com's Natasha Eubanks sat down to ki-ki with the actress & budding business mogul, her doppelganger movie daughter Ajiona Alexus (like, seriously, casting needs an award for nailing that), and producer and director Will Packer& James McTeigue. And yes, Gabrielle Union-Wade is THAT mom who goes up to her stepsons' school and is with the sh**s.
Nobody held back about why women empowerment was put on a pedestal in this film, and why sexual assault needs to be addressed on screen.
Check it out above.

Sanaa Lathan and Oprah are making a splash on the magazine circuit with their brand new covers. Peep the covers and get into their cover stories inside...
Sanaa Lathan is like that super dope chick that you love hanging out with because she's always a good time. So, when the Beyhive started to attack her as they did their "investigation" on "Who Bit Beyonce?!" we were a tad bit shocked. Tiffany Haddish started this witch hunt after she revealed someone, described as a drugged up actress, bit Beyonce on the face during a party at the end of 2017.
The "Shots Fired" star spoke out shortly after the Beyhive started to attack letting everyone know it wasn't her. Now, she's opening up about it her cover story for Health Magazine's newest issue.
"Yeah, it blew up," she said. "And I think it’s the most absurd thing I’ve ever been involved with. Thank God I’ve been in this business for 20 years and have had so many rumors about me. They used to devastate me in my 20s, but in order to survive in this business, you just have to let it roll. I adore Beyoncé. I would never do anything malicious like that—to her, or to anyone. It’s so bizarre."
We know she's glad this is behind her because the Beyhive can get ruthless.
The 46-year-old is currently single, but, being single doesn't define her happiness. While she said she would love to find a life partner, it doesn't control her outlook on life. She dates, but she is NOT settling for no any type of man for the sake of saying she has a man. Not mad at that.
"I always wanted—and I dream about having—a life partner, but I am completely happy, and I love my freedom," she spilled. "I do date, but I do not want anything less than something that’s amazing. And if it’s not gonna be that, I’m just gonna keep being my free- spirit self. I was talking to a friend of mine who’s around my age, and there is a thing when people look at you, and they’re like, "So..." as if you’re failing because you’re not married. I have so much love in my life. And maybe I will have a life partner. But I don’t know."
Can any of you relate? It's tough when people question you about where you are in life and don't know your struggle.
Sanaa is gearing up to star in an upcoming Netflix series Nappily Ever After, a romantic comedy film. For the role, the YBF actress had to shave off all of her hair and she shared all of the emotions she felt while doing it. "
"It was terrifying! But to me, it’s so much a part of her journey. My character is in crisis, and everything that she thought she knew is unraveling. So the emotions were all over the place for me—because I’m playing Violet, but I’m also shaving my head! It was actually really powerful and kind of weirdly cathartic and freeing. You know, I was crying, I was laughing..."
"It was kind of a perfect time in my life to do it. I have a lot of hair, and it’s thick. I was just so over it. [It feels like this is time] in terms of women of color coming into this amazing renaissance of owning who they are, and owning all of their beauty in whatever shape, size, color it is. There’s no more cookie-cutter, like, 'This is the ideal.'"
Kudos to her!
You can read her full interview here.
Be sure to see Sanaa Lathan star in the 4th season of "The Affair," premiering June 17th on Showtime.
On another magazine cover....
SNATCHED! Come through, Oprah.
The media mogul is covering the June 2018 issue of O Magazine looking like a snack. Weight Watchers approved, of course. However, fans aren't feeling the overdose of photoshopping.
Folks are all up and through her comment sections on her social media accounts, bashing editors for the extreme photoshop job. Check it:

We called it! Newlyweds Chanel Iman and Sterling Shepard announced their pregnancy just in time for Mother's Day! Get into their gorgeous maternity shoot inside...
Issa baby bump! Just two months after they tied the knot, model Chanel Iman and Giants baller Sterling Shepard have another life changing situation on their hands. They're expecting, and they're now sharing the news with the world.
We spotted a possible baby bump during their wedding festivities, and also wondered if the swiftness of the ceremony - which took place three months after their engagement - meant they were in a hurry because a baby was on the way. It seems like that may have been the case.
Sterling gushed on Instagram about the good news saying:
"My baby is making my baby! Happy Mother’s Day @chaneliman I love you mama"
And Chanel posted a few gorgeous maternity shots featuring her growing belly and her new hubby:
We both are blessed in many different ways, that our love has created a wonderful new life and can’t wait for this ultimate blessing to arrive. We thank God for allowing us this opportunity to become parents and can’t wait to hold our baby in our arms! @sterl_shep3 //SWIPE @jamesmacari @monicarosestyle @patrickta @amoycoutureny
The twosome met at Sterling's teammate Victor Cruz's birthday bash in November 2016. They were engaged about a year later, then married a little over three months after that.
A whirlwind, fairytale romance and a new baby. Congrats!
Taraji P. Henson had more than a few reasons to celebrate this Mother's Day. Her beau Kelvin Hayden put a ring on it! See the engagement announcement inside...
Taraji P. Henson is engaged!
Talk about one hell of a Mother's Day. The "Empire" star enjoyed a huge surprise on yesterday when her man/former NFLer Kelvin Hayden got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage!
The 47-year-old starlet shared the exciting news with her fans in a Instagram post, posting a picture of her new rock, writing,
"I said yes y'all!!! He started with the Cartier love bracelet BUT that was my #Mothersday gift and then he dropped to his knee and I almost passed out!!! #sheisofficiallyoffthemarket and she is sooooooooooooo HAPPY!!!!!! #GODIS."
Taraji and Kelvin have been secretly dating for about 2 years.
Not only was she celebrating Mother's Day and her new engagement, she was also celebrating her son Marcel Johnson's birthday:
Kelvin also laced Taraji a Cartier love bracelet:
We first caught wind of Taraji and Kelvin's romance when we first spotted them together on the beach in Miami holding hands in December 2015:
The Proud Mary star, who likes to keep her personal life private, didn't start posting pics of her man on her social media accounts until December 2017. Then, she started gushing about her man publicly in January 2018. And now, they're about to get married!
We assume Taraji isn't bothered by all those cheating allegations.
Congrats to the couple!

Cleveland Cavaliers baller George Hill wasn't going to let the NBA Playoffs keep him from receiving his college diploma. Peep a clip of the NBA player speaking during commencement, plus deets on Jamie Foxx receiving his honorary degree and Martin Lawrence gushing over his daughter Jasmin Lawrence graduating Cum Laude inside...
Ball is life, but so is education.
Cleveland Cavaliers player George Hill is currently balling out during the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. However, the 32-year-old wasn't going to let anything stand in his way to receive his college degree.
The Cavs point guard missed practice on Saturday before Game 1 against the Boston Celtics during the Eastern Conference Finals , but he had one hell of a reason to skip out on it. He was set to receive his college degree from the School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI and he also took part in the commencement ceremonies in Indianapolis. He was one of two student speakers to address the grauduating class.
It was a big day for the father of two, who's gearing up to get married this summer, as he is the first person in his family to graduate from college.

"It's not about how long it took, it's about finishing the job," he said
He said it was hard trying to find time in between practices and games to complete his assisngnments, but he was so focused on getting it done. He had been out of school for 15 years before he decided to cop his degree!

Speaking of graduations....
You can know call him Dr. Foxx!
Actor/singer/comedian Jamie Foxx (real name Eric Bishop) received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Jarvis Christian College. The Django star, a native of Texas, received his honorary doctorate from the historically black university in Hawkins for his activism and community service.
“Out of all the awards, this is the most special, to see your faces and where you’re about to go,” he said to the graduating class.
This weekend I received my honorary Doctorate from Jarvis Christian college in Hawkins Texas... my heart swelled with joy... thank u Dr Newman for selecting me. I am at your service. Thank u to my best friend Gilbert willie for being by my side and being a significant piece in our journey. As I accepted the honor I was touched to see the young faces in front of me ready to take on the world. God bless u... and as I took it all in I couldn’t help but think of my grandmother... and how I know she would be proud and smiling... miss your presence. But I know your there... #texasboy #grandmashands #iwishyourwerehere
After the ceremony, Foxx shared why it was so special for him to receive an honorary doctorate degree.
“Wow, there getting ready to take off and live their life in an incredible way and I had something to do with it, as far as giving them something encouraging to hold on to,” Jamie said.
The actor/singer/comedian stressed how important it is to not forget where you came from, telling the students coming back home was a privlege.
“With everything that’s we’re going through and things like that,” Foxx said. “If you can go back and stamp your flag of positivity, especially here at home, ain’t nothing like Texas.”
You can catch Jamie and his daughter Corinne Fox host season 2 of "Beat Shazam," set to premiere May 29th at 8/7c on FOX.
Another graduation that went down...
Proud dad moment!

Keep doin your thing. I love you so much! #Dukeuniversity #cumlaude," Martin gushed on Instagram about his daughter, who is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Martin, who's engaged to be married to his longtime partner Roberta Moradfar, shares his daughter Jasmine with Pat Smith, who's currently married to Dallas Cowboys Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith. It was a total blended family affair as Pat and Emmitt were also in attendance to show support.
Aww! Congrats Jasmin!
Jada Pinkett Smith and her mother/Red Table Talk co-host Adrienne Banfield-Norris hopped on a flight for a Mother's Day vacay and her mom has us rethinking life. Find out what we mean, plus soak in the first conversation between Jada and Will Smith's ex-wife Sheree Fletcher and her controversial Instagram post inside...
Mother's Day was yesterday and to celebrate, Jada Pinkett Smith and her mom/Red Table Talk co-host Adrienne Banfield-Norris hopped on a flight to paradise. The YBF ladies let their hair down and stripped down to their bathing suits for some fun in the sun.
During their R&R session, Jada and Adrienne made a video wishing all the mothers out there a Happy Mother's Day:
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms and Bonus Moms our there! To my mom @only1mrsn and my aunts and every woman in my life that has poured love into me... thank you @shereefletcher thank for simply always being willing to grow, to try, to talk and expand your heart. I’m grateful for you Queen it up today ladies!!!
Jada's 64-year-old mother slipped into a sexy two piece bathing suit and has us rethinking our ENTIRE lives:
Before celebrating Mother's Day, Jada, Adrienne and Jada's daughter Willow Smith hosted the premiere episode of their new talk show, Red Table Talk, where Jada invited her husband Will Smith's first wife/mother of his child Trey, Sheree Flectcher, on the show.
If you've followed the Smith Family throughout the years, then you know things weren't peachy keen when Jada first started dating Will. One big reason being that Will was still legally married to Sheree. The ladies sit down for the first time to reflect on their struggles to co-parent Trey in the beginning and they reveil some juicy stories that happened behind-the-scenes as they tried to blend their families into one.
The ladies have their discussion and then Jada watches the sitdown with her daughter and her mother to get their thoughts about it.
Peep their full discussion below:
They also conducted a live Q&A with fans following the episode. Check it below:
Since the sitdown between Jada and Sheree was released, Sheree has been posting up promo for the show on her social media accounts. She decided to take it a step further by posting an old photo of herself with her son Trey and Will when they were still together:
What seemed to have been an innocent #ThrowbackThursday photo has turned into a strong debate in her comments section: Should an ex post pictures like this one? Is it inappropriate to post photos with your ex when he/she (and you) has moved? Speak on it in the comments section!
Here are a few clips from Jada and SHeree's discussion that didn't make it to the original Red Table Talk episode above and below:

Chance The Rapper and Angela Rye delivered keynote speeches at two separate HBCU commencent ceremonies over the weekend. Get it all inside...
How's this for your very first college graduation?!
Over the weekend, Chance The Rapper attended his first ever college graduation. And he didn't just attend. The Chi-town native delivered the keynote speech at Dillard University, a historically black liberal arts school, in New Orleans. The Grammy Award winner also copped an honorary doctorate degree for his philanthropy and continued service to the youth. Nice!
Chance is only 25-years-old, but he is very wise beyond his years.
— Robert Collins (@DrRobertCollins) May 12, 2018
The Coloring Book rapper delivered a 20-minute speech before the 2018 graduation class, encouraging them all to be better than the legends who came before them and to fearlessly transcend them.
"Some people might find this kind of talk disrespectful, but it's exactly the opposite. The highest form of respect that we can pay to the people who came before us, the people who sacrificed for us and gave us everything, is to be better than them," he said. "Our parents, grandparents, ancestors sacrificed, not so that we can keep doing the same thing that they were doing but so that we can be better. To simply copy them would be almost an insult to their sacrifice."
— Joshua Williams IV (@TheJoshIV) May 12, 2018
He went on to explain how Michael Jackson "was the greatest" and "solidified his space in world history," but then explained how a kid from a younger generation would surpass him.
"Generations of little black kids have been mesmerized before the TV screen or YouTube, watching as Mike seemed to do the impossible. One of those little black kids would grow up to be someone especially amazing," Chance said. "She would do more than just copy Mike. She would surpass him. And now, I'm going to tell you about the greatest performance put on by the greatest performer of all time, and it wasn't Mike."
"Beyonce," Chance said and then the graduates went wild.
He continued: "In real time, in one fell swoop, she eclipsed every Grammy performance, every Super Bowl halftime show, every talent show," Chance said in his commencement address Saturday. "Literally, any performance from the beginning of time in contrast became outdated and obsolete."
"I realized that all of us have a responsibility to be greater than the people who came before us. We have a responsibility to be not as good as them or live up to their example, but to actually surpass them, even when it seems scary. We have to overcome that fear and be greater than our role models," he explained. "We have to erase the fear and stigma behind eclipsing our heroes."
— Dee-1; IG @dee1music (@Dee1music) May 12, 2018
The "No Problems" rapper also talked about how students shouldn't be afraid to go beyond what the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. achieved as he fought led the civil rights movement.
"If I were to say right now that someone in this room will do more for black people than Dr. Martin Luther King, a lot of people would find that offensive. But to the man who directly spoke to seeing over the mountaintop, knowing he might not get here with us, truth is it would be counterproductive to find complacency in where he brought us," Chance said in his commencement address. "Dr. King's service to the movement was movement. Sometimes by immortalizing someone in their accomplishments, we immobilize the very thing that they believe in. We have to create new moves."

The YBF attorney, who rocked a Self Portrait ensemble with Tom Ford pumps, spoke before a graduating class of 650 students, asking them real life questions that will need answers once they step out into the real world.
“Will your degree serve you or will you use your degree to serve others?" Angela asked. “My responsibility to you today is truth. My responsibility to you today is ensuring you are adequately equipped to survive in a 2018 America. And in the America we create together for the future."
Commencement is on its way! We can feel the excitement in the room! President/Chancellor Belton and Chairwoman Ann Smith were excited to meet @angela_rye. #WeAreSouthern#gradszn#SU18pic.twitter.com/8UBFewW2JV

Angela drilled into the graduates' heads that we can't keep talking about our problems, we must start taking action.
“We cannot keep talking about the problems, and not playing our respective parts to change them. Be the change. Be courageous. Be bold, like your lives, our lives, depend on it because they do. Create the community you know we can be. Create the country you deserve to see. Create the world in which you want to live," she said.
Perfect words to live by.
After walking across the stage at SU, this YBF graduate got engaged! Peep the sweet clip above.
Congrats to the graduates!

When you walk into work after having the best weekend ever....AND ready to show off your new ice. Get up close and personal with Taraji P. Henson's new engagement ring and luxe Mother's Day gift inside...
The newly engaged Taraji P. Henson was back at work today promoting the renewal of "Empire" at the Fox Upfronts. And that means it was the perfect time to floss on 'em with her new engagement ring.
Her new fiance, former NFLer Kelvin Hayden, popped the question this Mother's Day weekend with a diamond engagement ring, and he didn't stop there. He copped matching Cartier bracelets for the both of them. The tv/movie star rocked both to today's FOX Upfronts at the Beacon Theater in NYC.
Chick was all smiles in a spring-ready Altuzarra Fall 2018 dress and Louboutins, and you already know why.
The bronzed beauty was fresh off vacay, and based on Kelvin's hot shots, we can tell why she has some pep in her step.
Azealia Banks is still stirring the pot on social media and this time she's coming for Teyana Taylor. However, Tey isn't letting it go down like that. She has receipts! Deets on Azealia accusing Teyana of stealing "FADE" dance moves by choreographer Matthew Pasterisa inside...
Azealia Banks is back in the headlines for yet another social media beef, following her feud with Cardi B.
This time, she's gunning for Teyana Taylor. Why? Well, here's how it all started.
The "212" rapper uploaded a behind-the-scenes clip of her busting out new choreography for her new "Anna Wintour" video on Instagram. A fan wrote in the comments section that Azealia's dance moves reminds her of something Teyana already did and that's when Azealia accused Teyana of STEALING choreography for Kanye West's "FADE" video from choreographer Matthew Pasterisa, who she's currently working with.
Teyana Taylor caught wind of Azealia's shade and clapped back in an Instagram video. And she made sure everyone knew exactly who she was responding to by "@'n" Azealia and Matt.
She captioned, "@azealiabanks So I was too busy enjoying my Mother’s Day yesterday! But today is a new day! Junie is taking a nap so mama got ah lil bit of time TAHDAY!!!! WASSUP!!!! @bornready_matt give ya friend some clarity with all her inaccurate information, so she can stop spewing out all of this false information."
@azealiabanks So I was too busy enjoying my Mother’s Day yesterday! But today is a new day! Junie is taking a nap so mama got ah lil bit of time TAHDAY!!!! WASSUP!!!! @bornready_matt give ya friend some clarity with all her inaccurate information, so she can stop spewing out all of this false information.
Matthew then decided to share his side of the story, revealing he was given credit for the choreogprahy, but he was never paid:
10-1-11: I posted this Beyonce “End of Time” Choreography on YouTube. When I used to Teach Dance classes in a Basement. To make things very Clear I am very THANKFUL FOR THE VMA OPPORTUNITY And I Thanked you @teyanataylor Numerous of Times and Showed love. I’m Truly Blessed for it BUT Honestly, I didn’t know any thing about “FADE”, I didn’t Get any calls about it and I didn’t Receive any pay .... (SHE DID GIVE ME SOME CREDIT) I was truly hurt and Felt Stolen from .... I took it with a Grain of Salt and Continued to remain Humble. I’m not here to Drag anyone and this wasn’t intentional but the TRUTH IS THE TRUTH ! (NO WE DIDN’T GO TO Court)
The VII singer then posted up more receipts explaining to Matthew why he wasn't paid (she wasn't paid either) for "FADE" and threatened to release MORE receipts. Also, she explained how "very small portion" of choreography they originally created for Beyonce's "End of Time" did end up in the "FADE" video, but she made sure to give him credit for it.
2011 (video uploaded to YouTube a year later once we knew for sure it was not being used by bey) Why didn’t you respond directly to me Matt?? @bornready_matt First off, FADE was something that was VERY spontaneous! Anyone that knows how Kanye is, knows that spontaneous is his get down. Newsflash! I did “Dark Fantasy” 3 hrs before he had to turn in MBDTF, and guess what??? I was NEVER credited!!! That’s the difference, you were! But it was nonetheless still a good look & a Blessing for me, in which I recognized that, and didn’t feel so called “stolen from”. NOONE knew he was going to even put the video out! Therefore NOONE got paid!!! Not even Me!!! It was an amazing look for EVERYONE involved INCLUDING YOU!!! In which you prematurely jumped in your feelings thinking that you weren’t credited. Do I need to post screenshots of your apologies saying that you jumped to conclusions?? Do we need to open up that can of worms?? Do we need to post the screenshots of the convo between my mom/manager and your manager just yesterday?? This could have all been avoided if you would have checked your friend from the gate. And for the record, only a very small portion of our choreo that WE created that was used to present to Beyonce for “End Of Time”, but was never used because she got pregnant with Blu was even used. I was actually extending you a look, but you were being too narrow minded to even see your Blessing! WE’VE BEEN CREATING WHAT YOU CALL “our legacy” since 2005!!! Never forget! P.S. funny how you posted a video of you teaching a dance class doing this choreo, but if my memory serves me correctly, isn’t this the same time I submitted OUR video to @tytryone for consideration for Bey? IT WAS NEVER A SECRET THIS PORTION OF THE CHOREO WAS OLD AND WAS ORIGINALLY CREATED FOR BEYONCE! IVE SAID THAT IN EVERY INTERVIEW! And GO BACK AND READ YA OWN INTERVIEWS OF U ADMITTING WE CREATED THE CHOREO TOGETHER. U WANTED CLOUT HERE U GO! Enjoy! And you was just smiling in my face at the @juniebeenails salon opening! Lol a couple of months ago.
Basically, Teyana wanted Matthew to check his friend for spreading false information.
Later, Banks hopped on Instagram Stories to explain why she says the things she says (specifically when it comes to her opinions about other artists):
Hmm...does she have a point here?

Nas pulls the curtain back on his monthly expenses to prove he can't ay Kelis more child support. Get into his financial situation, plus deets on Joe Budden's TV deal with REVOLT following news that the media company laid off a third of its employees inside...
The child support battle between Nas and Kelis continues!
We thought it was near the end since the rapper and singer was able to agree on a custody arrangement for their 8-year-old son, Knight Jones. However, the amount of child support Nas should cough up a month is still being debated.
Right now, the Queensbridge rapper pays the "Milkshake" singer $8,000/month in child support. However, Kelis filed paperwork for an increase since she believes Nas makes way more money than he did when the child support order was first set into place.
Now, Nas is whipping out receipts to show he is not able to pay more than the designated amount he's set to pay. He filed legal documents to disclose his income in an effort to show the judge his financial responsibilities.
The "Hate Me Now" rapper reportedly brings in $175,000 per month various sources (music, investments, etc.) and has more than $8.3 million in cash in his bank account. His monthly expenses total $76,834.04, which includes $20,245.70 that goes to helping out family members, including his father. He also pays $15,000/month in rent.
Now that Nas has laid out his finances, its up to the judge to determine if Kelis will get that increase.
A few weeks ago, Kelis revealed dark secrets about her failed marriage to Nas, accusing him of physical and verbal abuse. In case you missed, catch up HERE.

Joe Budden has a new job!
After teasing fans about a possible collaboration with Diddy's REVOLT, it's official. Joe Budden has inked a deal with Diddy's REVOLT TV to host his brand new show titled, "State of the Culture."
According to REVOLT, "State of the Culture" will look to “deliver raw, unfiltered, and informative debates and interviews where Budden digs deep with prominent celebrities, artists and personalities.” Budden will host, create and produce the show, which is set to premiere this summer.
“Finally, Joe Budden is officially part of the REVOLT family,” REVOLT chairman Sean “Diddy” Combs told Billboard. “Joe has an authentic approach and he’s never afraid to speak the truth. His many talents deserve a platform that pushes the culture forward and we are excited to produce next-level content with him.”
“It was important to partner with a company that recognizes the growing need for our voices and ideas to stream freely without interruption. That was a much prettier way to say, we bout to be with the shits,” Joe Budden told Billboard. “Thank you to my business partner Ian Schwartzman and REVOLT for the opportunity to highlight my brutal honesty, passion and integrity. I love REVOLTING!! Together, we will continue to take this thing to heights unseen.” Last year, Budden cut ties as a co-host for Complex's "Everyday Struggle." Since his departure, he had been fielding offers. He eventually ended up at REVOLT.
Congrats! Will you be tuning in?
News about Joe Budden's new gig comes on the heels of reports that REVOLT laid off a third of its employees. The media company sent pink slips to about 50 staff members in a reconstructing effort to focus on content production operations.
According to Variety, the plan is to reorient the content production operation to deliver a broader range of short-form and long-form content encompassing lifestyle and culture, fashion, art, comedy, and social justice. The company will concentrate most of its content operations in Los Angeles while maintaining a sales office in New York.

We're barely into the week and Cardi B is already having a week from hell. The pregnant rapper unleashed a series of tweets explaning what went down in the mall fight video that has gone viral. She's also apologizing for offensive language in her lyrics on Rita Ora's new track, "Girls." Deets inside...
Following an online feud with Azealia Banks and deleting her Instagram account, Cardi B is still trying to put out fires on social media.
Over the weekend, a video of the pregnant rapper arguing with a group of people outside of a store in a mall in Las Vegas last month went viral. It wasn't quite clear at the time why the "Cartier Bardi" rapper was engaged in a verbal alteration with "fans," but now we know what went down, at least, according to the mom-to-be.
Peep the clip below:
According to The Blast, Cardi ran into a group of fans outside of the Fendi store at The Shops at Crystals in the CityCenter complex on April 27th. One of the people in the group, Lolita Beckford-Dawkins, spoke to The Blast about the incident, saying Cardi ignored them when she was asked for a photo. Eventually, they got a reaction out of Cardi after someone in the group yelled out,"F*ck Cardi! You ain't sh*t."
In the clip that has gone viral, we see Cardi yelling at the group of people from inside the Fendi store as security tried to keep everyone separated. Some of what Lolita said is true. Someone did ask Cardi for a picture and she did refuse. However, she said fans need to learn to respect a person's privacy, especially a pregnant person.
After the incident, the Invasion of Privacy rapper hopped on Twitter to respond to rumors that the fight was over her wanting to shut down the store for a private shopping spree.
In a series of now deleted Twitter posts, the 25-year-old entertainer explained a man asked to take a picture with her and she declined. After she said no, the man and his friends followed her as she made her way to her next destination and that's when ish went left.
“I was walking to the store and the man asked for a picture and I said no!” she wrote in the tweets, she wrote. “Then he took out his phone, got next to me, and my security told him, ‘She said no!’ Then the guy and his girl started calling me a wack a** b*tch so I started barking.”
“I walked all the way to the store and they still followed me trying to argue with me,” she continued in the now deleted tweet. “If I respectfully told you I don’t want to take a picture, your drunk ass shouldn’t get close to me and disrespect my decisions, space or privacy.”
A fan responded to Cardi's tweets accusing her of never snapping pics with her Bardi Gang members, in which she responded, “I always take pictures with fans. If I don’t have no makeup, in a rush, not in the mood, I’m not obligated and not everybody is YOUR FAN. Clearly.”
Damn. Can a pregnant woman shop in peace?!
This isn't the first time Cardi has had some issues with overzealous fans since announcing her pregnancy. Cardi B's security team was accused of brutally beating a fan who was seeking an autograph after the 2018 Met Gala.
That's not the only drama Cardi is involved in.
Folks have been bashing her for what some have deemed "offensive lyrics" in Rita Ora's new track "Girls," also featuring Bebe Rexha and Charli XCX. It's a sexually fluid track that explores a woman who enjoys kissing other women.
On the track, Cardi raps:
Now I could be your lipstick, just for one night (one night)
Girls just wanna have fun and have their funds right (yeah)
I mean, say my name, say my name, say my name (say my name)
It tastes good just rollin' off your tongue, right? (Hurrr)
I put this MAC on your lips, so pucker up (mwah)
We ain't never heard of you 'cause you ain't done enough (no)
And I don't gotta introduce myself (Cardi)
I'm too sexy, I seduce myself (Bardi)
Seven-figure, never need a nigga (nope)
I steal your bitch, have her down with the scissor
Tonight, I don't want a dog, I want a kitten (eoooaaawww)
I might French a girl from Great Britain
A few LGBTQ artists, including singer Kehlani, spoke out publicly against the song, calling its lyrics problematic and exploitative.
every artist on the song is fantastic, and very much loved and supported by me... by all of us. but this isn’t about talent. it’s about choice.
— Kehlani (@Kehlani) May 11, 2018
and don’t make this personal.
i have an incredible song out with one of the artists, and would love to work with the other three as well. & have met them all and respect them.
there. were. harmful. lyrics.
period. love y’all.
— Kehlani (@Kehlani) May 11, 2018
Now, Cardi is offering up an apology to anyone she may have offended due to her ignorance and opened up about her own "experiences" with women:
Listen to “GIRLS” by Rita Ora ft me @BebeRexha@charli_xcx .We never try to cause harm or had bad intentions with the song .I personally myself had experiences with other woman ,shiieeett with a lot of woman ! I though the song was a good song and i remember my experience .
— iamcardib (@iamcardib) May 15, 2018
Back in January, Cardi defended her fiance Offset's homophobic lyrics, but that didn't go over well.
Meanwhile, Rita Ora also offered up an apology.
— Rita Ora (@RitaOra) May 14, 2018
The British singer then explained to Billboard that folks are taking the song out of context and that it's "not that deep."
"I just really wanted to show a side of me that just represents freedom and the belief [that you should] really be what you want to be," she said. "It’s not actually that deep. It really is just about that. It’s a free message, and for me, really fun. It’s just a fun record."
When you know better, you do better.
Queen Latifah, Tina Lawson and Boris Kodjoe offered up words of wisdom when they took the stage to deliver speeches at a few college commencement ceremonies. Get into their speeches inside...
Just call her Dr. Owens from now on!
Queen Latifah (real name Dana Owens) was awarded an honorary doctorate from Rutgers University, the largest institution of higher education in New Jersey, and she was tapped to give the keynote address.
"Say hello to the Honorary Dr. Dana Owens. Thank you Rutgers University and congratulations to all of the graduates of the class of 2018!,” the NJ native excitedly wrote on social media.

During her speech, the rapper/actress/producer reflected on how New Jersey helped shaped her into the successful woman she is today.
"This place has shaped me," the "Jersey Girl" said during her speech. "Whether its been your home for 4 years or 40 years or something in between, you carry it with you just as I have. Long before Living Single and Set It Off and Chicago, it's lessons that I learned here at home that made me who I am. You may not realize it today, but you will over time that the love you find in family in every size, shape and makeup is a powerful teacher.”
Take a listen to her speech below:
In June 2011, Queen delivered the keynote speech at Delaware State University. Now, she's an honorary Dr.!
By the way, Queen Latifah is tapped to hit the stage during this year's ESSENCE Festival in New Orleans for the first time in July.
Inspirational philanthropist and fashion designer Tina Knowles Lawson was tapped to deliver the 2018 baccalaureate ceremony keynote for University of Southern California Baccalaureate graduates. However, Mama Tina wasn't all that excited about giving the speech.
Why? Well, she didn't think her speech would be accepted since she didn't attend college. After sharing her fears with her husband Richard Lawson, she realized she had gems to offer the 2018 graduating class even though she didn't attend a four year university or college.
The one you feed!!!!Which wolf do.you feed ? I faced my fears and spoke at USC . When I told my husband I don’t want to speak there I didn’t even go to college why would they want to hear what I have to say ? My husband said to me , no you don’t have a college degree but you certainly have a doctorates degree in life ,or you might just inspire someone who has shared the same challenges as you. So as always when there is something in my life that I am afraid of , and that I feel that I need to conquer, I got along with the business of doing the darn thing. #faceyourfears I thought i must add that i wished i would have experienced College it is one of life’s greatest gifts . I encourage every young person to experience it
“When I told my husband I don’t want to speak there I didn’t even go to college why would they want to hear what I have to say,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “My husband said to me, no you don’t have a college degree but you certainly have a doctorates degree in life, or you might just inspire someone who has shared the same challenges as you. So as always when there is something in my life that I am afraid of, and that I feel that I need to conquer, I got along with the business of doing the darn thing.”
And she did it! Mama Tina also talked about the importance of mentoring in her life and how it affected her role as Beyoncé and Solange’s mom.
Peep her speech below:
At another commencement ceremony...
Actor Boris Kodjoe returned to his alma mater, Virigina Commonwealth University (which he attended on a tennis scholarship), to deliver the commencement address. The "Code Black" actor graduated in 1996 with a degree in marketing. And he was inducted into the VCU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2017.
“Dear Class of 2018, I implore you, you must give yourself permission to fail in order to experience the privilege of success,” he started off saying. “There’s no success without failure because there’s no triumph without adversity, no diploma without a lesson learned.”
He talked about how his journey from a discriminated-against German teenager to VCU to Hollywood actor helped shaped his willingness to step outside of his comfort zone.
“You have been blessed with an education that has ensured your academic development and your social awareness, an education that has given you knowledge and ignited your curiosity of the world and all of its people beyond these grounds, an education that has nurtured your confidence, fortified your integrity and expanded your socially conscious mind.”
Peep a clip from his address below:
Oprah delivered the keynote address at the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism over the weekend.
“You will become the new editorial gate-keepers, an ambitious army of truth-seekers who will arm yourselves with the intelligence, with the insights and the facts necessary to strike down deceit,” she said. “You can answer false narratives with real information and you can set the record straight.”

The estranged wife of Sandy "Pepa" Denton's boyfriend Aundre Dean is still talking. She claims her husband left her after giving her an abortion ultimatum. Receipts inside...
A week after Sandy "Pepa" Denton and her new boyfriend Aundre Dean were put on blast by his estranged wife Jordyn Taylor, she's back at it again!
The estranged wife hopped on Instagram to reveal her husband left her in December after giving her an ultimatum: Either get an abortion or they're getting a divorce.
You'll recall, there were discrepancies on when Aundre and Jordyn split since they posted family flicks from their gender reveal (it's a girl) and Christmas pics on their social media accounts back in December. Jordyn confirms they split after he gave her the ultimatum.
Now, Jordyn is trying to pick up the pieces with her two children and move on. In her post, she admitted that there were red flags in their relationship, but she thought they could work through them. She said she's not going to speak on her estranged husband's relationship with the rap legend ever again.
Here's what she said:
Pepa Pig though?!
Meanwhile, Pepa has erased all of the posts of her man on her account, but he hasn't. He just turned the comments off. Pepa nor Aundre have responded to Jordyn's claims. However, Aundre is promoting his new music:
Salt-N-Pepa will be hitting the stage of this year's Billboard Music Awards where they will be celebrating their 30th anniversary of being the first female rappers to make the Top 20 on Billboard Hot 100. They're set to perform with En Vogue. Nice!
You don't want to miss! Janet Jackson is also hitting the stage for her first televised performance in 9 years. The 2018 Billboard Music Awards go down Sunday, May 20th at 8pm EST on NBC.
T.I. was just arrested for his drunken behavior and allegedly assaulting a security guard outside of his home. Deets inside...
When T.I. came home around 4AM this morning, he got into some sort of altercation with the security guard who mans the gated community T.I. and fam live in.
Apparently, he forgot his key, and the security guard would not let him through the gates. TIP and a friend reportedly got into an argument with he guard that was so heated, cops were called. We guess the guard may be new since T.I. has lived there for several years.
When cops arrived on the scene, T.I. was arrested by Henry County PD for simple assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. He was all smiles in his mug shot:
Law enforcement told TMZ:
T.I. was, in fact, allowed into his gated community after an initial argument with the guard, but then returned on foot shortly afterward to confront the guy again.
We're told that's when cops were called to the scene, and ended up arresting him.
The "Live Your Life" rapper reportedly never made physical contact with the security guard, but the guard "feared" he would.
We're also told T.I. did NOT make physical contact with the security guard, but the guard feared he would be hit during the dispute. Under GA law, that constitutes an alleged simple assault.
What type of law...
Don't cry too much for TIP. He's already been released on bail.

The 2018 Cannes Film Festival is dripping with celebrities and we've rounded up flicks and videos of what your faves are up to. See 50 Cent and John Travolta cut up, plus flicks of Lupita Nyong'o, Donald Glover, Ava DuVernay and more inside...
This unlikely broamnce between 50 Cent and John Travolta is likely the best thing that has happened this year at the annual Cannes Film Festival. The rapper and Hollywood actor popped up on the red carpet together for the screening of Solo: A Star Wars Story during the 71st annual Cannes Film Festival at Palais des Festivals yesterday.
The Stars Wars flick is being dubbed as the biggest movie of the year, so tons of celebs hit the carpet for the screening. Do you think it'll surpass Black Panther's box office success?
While everything was prime and proper on the red carpet, the afterparty scene got super LIT. Fif was tapped to perform during for the film Gotti’s afterparty. That's when John Travolta hit the stage to show he still has it. Check it:

HA! Get it, John.
Back on the carpet...
Donald Glover made his way on the carpet to promote his role in the Star Wars film - the biggest role he has accepted thus far in his career. The "Atlanta" creator/star will play a young Lando Calrissian.
“When I heard they were making these, I told my agent, ‘If they’re making anything with Lando in it, I have to be Lando,’” Donald said in a recent interview.
“And he was like, ‘I hear you. I don’t like your odds,’” he said.“That was exactly what I needed to hear. I really auditioned like it was the only role I wanted in the world. It really was.”
Full circle moment.
Thandie Newton was also on the carpet as she stars in the film as Val Beckett, which makes her the first woman of color to lead a Star Wars cast. Woot!
The stunning 45-year-old actress paid homage to several YBF actors who have starred in Star Wars films. She wore a Vivienne Westwood dress that featured pictures of Samuel L. Jackson and John Boyega on it.
Model Winnie Harlow shut the carpet down in a dramatic look by Jean-Louis Sabaji. The look was clearly inspired by the film and we're loving ALL of it. True Hollywood glam.
Model Maria Borges showed off in a blush silk multi-tiered gown for the screening.
Actor Joonas Suotamo made his rounds on the carpet in the Chewbacca costume.
Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters May 25th.
At another screening...
Filmmaker Spike Lee is shaking things up at the Cannes Film Festival with the screening of his new movie, Blackkklansman, which is based on a true story.
The famed filmmaker, wearing knuckle rings with love and hate on them, hit the red carpet alongside the cast, including Corey Hawkins, Adam Driver, Jasper Paakkonen, Laura Harrier, Topher Grace and John David Washington.
According to Deadline, "BlacKkKlansman follows a black detective named Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) who infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan, even becoming phone pals with the notorious David Duke (Topher Grace) in order to thwart a suspected attack. Adam Driver plays the detective who subs for Stallworth in his face-to-face meetings with the KKK."
During a recent chat with the press, Lee talked about how timely the film is with the Trump era and the rise of the Alt-Right as well as how he decided on the film's final scene. At the end of the film, Lee added actual footage from the Alt-Right protest in Charlottesville which took the life of 32-year-old paralegal Heather Heyer.
“Right away, I knew that this had to be, you might use the word ‘coda’ for the film. But I had to do something first. I was not going to put that murder scene in the film without her blessing," Spike - photographed above with his wife Tonya Lewis Lee and their kids- said.
Lee asked Heather's mother if he could add the scene and she gave him permission.
“That was a murder and we have a guy in the White House who had a chance to say we are about love and not about hate and that motherf***er did not denouce the Klan, the alt right and those Nazi motherf***ers.”
In such a “defining moment,” Trump “could have said to the world, not just the United States of America, that we were better than that… We look to our leaders. They give us direction to make moral decisions. This does not just pertain to the United States. This right wing bulls*** is all over the world and we have to wake up and we can’t be silent.”
No. lies. told.
