But nah.  Solange Knowles hopped behind the camera and directed the video, which seems to pick up where her "Cranes In The Sky Part 2" left off.

SZA serves up classical dance moves (she's a trained dancer, in case you didn't know) to her CTRL album offering, all set in a parking garage and outside of a skyscraper.

When it comes to fatherhood, black men have a negative representation in society. But, that’s not to say there aren’t any good black dads out there. We know there are. And this viral video proves that.

Acers Gill, a Lexington, Kentucky native, made sure he was there to see his 2-year-old daughter perform for her winter dance recital. The real-life YBF dad stood on the side of the stage for the Kiddie Kapers & Company Dance Program recital held at the Norsworthy Auditorium to cheer on his baby girl.

While the dance teacher was also on the sidelines to help the baby ballerinas with their dance move, Acers' daughter was fixated on him to guide her as he performed their choreography to a T. Someone in the audience caught the daddy-daughter cuteness and uploaded the video. Now, it has gone viral!

“I don’t even know what to think about it because for me, anyone who knows me knows that’s just me being me, being a parent,” Acers told InspireMore.com. “I do that daily. That’s nothing unusual.”

While he didn’t see what he did as a big deal, he hopes the video inspires other young fathers to step up and be in their kids’ lives in all aspects.

“Maybe [this video is] a blessing within itself for the male figures and father figures out there.”

One of our fave YBF dads gives us another reason to love him.

Cleveland Cavaliers baller LeBron James had his daughter Zhuri James and wife Savannah James cheering him on during a recent match-up against the Chicago Bulls.

King James went from a beast on the court to a super caring dad in a matter of seconds. During a timeout, little Zhuri must have asked her dad for some candy. So, a mic’d up LeBron went around asking everyone in his sight if they had any candy, so he could gift it to his daughter. He finally found some, and a security guard made the special delivery for him.

Kendrick Lamar and his Top Dawg Entertainment family hosted their fourth annual toy drive in Watts, California yesterday (December 21st). The Grammy Award winner and his TDE roster put on a free concert for fans that brought unwrapped toys to be distributed for underprivileged children in the community. Gotta love when our YBF celebs give back.

This year, K-Dot brought his homie Rihanna to help him perform their joint single “Loyalty.”

After vibing off each other’s energy, RiRi went on to perform a few of her own tracks, including her verse on DJ Khaled’s “Wild Thoughts,” and her rap verse on N.E.R.D.’s “Lemon” track.

The “Work” singer performed in a white oversized Calvin Klein denim jacket, a Tom Ford jacket and skirt, a vintage Dior bodysuit, and Off White “For Walking” knee high boots. And as you can see, the crowd soaked in every bit of it.

We’re just days away before Christmas and LaLa Anthony made sure to make it a bright one for hundreds of young ladies.

Last night, the “Power” star hosted her “Winter Wonderland” event to give back to 250 young girls enrolled in the Girls Inc of NYC non-profit in the Bronx. And chick came bearing gifts. Some banging a** gifts. We’re talking Apple and Brand Jordan type gifts.

“I’m blessed to be in a position to use my time and resources to make a difference in young people’s lives,” LaLa said via press release. “Not everyone can call their friends at Brand Jordan and Apple and ask for product to donate."

“It always feels good to give during the holiday season, but I think it’s even more important to GIVE BACK to those who are not only less fortunate but who are working hard and deserve it, than the young women of Girls Inc of NYC,” she continued.

Not only did the hot mom bring some cool gifts, she also brought several of her celebrity friends to provide entertainment. Her list of cool friends included, “Power” co-stars Michael Rainey Jr. and Joseph Sikora, rappers Lil Yachty, Dave East, Young M.A., A-Boogie, Maino and Jim Jones. DJ Clue was on the 1s and 2s to keep the party lit.

There were also some political heads in the building, including representatives from Mayor Bill de Blasio and Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr office. They presented LaLa with certificates of recognition, while NY Senator Gustavo Rivera, who represents the Bronx, actually attended the exclusive event. Nice!

While most of us are freezing to kick off the winter season, “Bachelorette” alum Rachel Lindsay and her fiancé Bryan Abasolo decided to heat things up.

The lovebirds jetted to Miami for some fun in the sun. Who wouldn't want to frolick in the ocean and lay out on the beach for a pre-Christmas BAEcay?! Sign us up.  The 32-year-old attorney flossed her curves in a white one-piece with the slogan “Fiance” written in gold letters across the front. Chick is clearly excited to be heading down the aisle soon.

While a wedding date hasn’t been confirmed just yet, Rachel recently said the ceremony will happen sometime next year.

These two could hardly keep their hands off one another while taking a dip in the ocean.

After they trek down the aisle, kids are definitely in their plans. “We’re both eager to have that family unit. I’m ready to start our life together and I think that’s going to be a beautiful thing,” Rachel told PEOPLE. “We’re ready. He’s going to be a great dad,” she added.

On a movie set...

Nick Cannon and Chris Brown are cooking up a new project together.

The “Wild ‘N Out” host will be writing, directing, producing and starring in a new indie film about women’s street basketball titled, She Ball. Breezy will be flexing his acting chops and basketball skills, starring opposite the former “America’s Got Talent” host.

Chris and Nick were spotted filming scenes of the new movie on a basketball court in Venice, California.

According to Variety:

“She Ball” follows the love of the game through the struggles of Avery Watts, played by Cannon, who enlists the baddest women’s streetball league in the city to help him save the embattled Inglewood Community Center, which he manages, all while trying to raise his seven-year-old daughter.

Cedric the Entertainer, Evan Ross, and Rebecca De Mornay are also starring in the film.

“I’m very excited for this film. It’s something powerful for the culture, uplifting for the community, and the film’s main objective is to empower women! It’s going to be Ncredible!,” Nick gushed about the film.

The 37-year-old entertainer and his Ncredible Entertainment imprint are teaming up with Demetrius Spencer of One Media Worldwide and Ball Up, the entertainment studio behind the streetball league, to make the film.

Nick has also rounded up real-life female basketball players from the WNBA, Ball Up and the Basketball Beauties League, including Melody Rae Kandil, Jaliyah Manuel, and former Harlem Globetrotter Tammy Brawner.Faizon Love, K.D. Aubert, Luenell, and Marla Gibbs will round out the cast.

Also, Cannon will join forces with Baby “Birdman” Williams for the soundtrack.

Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. And this young, black college student did exactly like. Get the details on Nayzia Thomas finishing her final exam before giving birth to a healthy baby boy inside…

What labor?

19-year-old Nayzia Thomas was determined to finish up the fall semester with good grades. So much so, she fought through labor pains to finish one of her final exams.

A picture of the Kansas City college student, who attends Johnson County Community College, sitting in a hospital bed completing her psych exam in dissociative identity disorder online has gone viral. Since then, everyone has been sending her well wishes and congratulatory messages for pushing through to the finish line, both personally and academically.

“It’s the perfect explanation of my life,” Nayzia captioned the viral post. “Yes i’m about to have a baby, but final SZN ain’t over yet.”

It’s reported Nayzia gave birth to a health baby boy named Anthony on December 12th at 1:30pm, weighing in at 6lbs 15oz and he was 21 inches long. The real-life YBFer (whose hair is laid by the way) was able to turn in her completed exam before Anthony made his early arrival. Not only that, chick was grinding hard even before she learned she was pregnant, working three jobs and attending classes at the community college. Get it!

“It was hard to focus, but I had such a motivation to finish before I brought my son into the world, so that he could be my only focus,” Nayzia told the Huffington Post.

All her hard work paid off as she ended the semester with a 3.5 GPA.

After having her baby boy, the young mother suffered a health scare after losing too much blood, but she and baby are doing good now.

Meek Mill is still behind bars, but that didn’t stop his son and his ex-girlfriend sharing the stage in his hometown of Philly.

Grammy nominated rapper Lil Uzi Vert wrapped up his Christmas Tour in Philly last night and he brought out a few special guests. One of them being Philly rapper Meek Mill’s son, “Papi.”

Meek’s mini me hit the stage to rap his father’s verse on his “Dreams And Nightmares” track. Papi appeared to be a bit overwhelmed by the crowd and it didn’t help that he was awaken minutes before he got out on stage.

As you know, Papi’s father is currently behind bars for violating his probation.

Earlier this month, Judge Genece Brinkley denied Meek Mill bail, labeling him a "danger to the community” and a “flight risk."

Meek's recent probation violation is tied to his 2008 conviction on drugs and weapons charges.

Keke Palmer dropped a treat for her fans just in time for Christmas.

The YBF singer/actress gifted her fans visuals for her new song “PREGAME.” The video treatment shows Keke and her girls getting dressed in a luxe mansion before heading out to a party. It’s the perfect track to listen to while you and your homies get all dolled up before heading out for a night out on the town.

The 24-year-old entertainer told PAPER magazine the visuals were a gift to her fans before she drops some new music in 2018. It’s unclear when exactly she’ll release her new musical offerings, but be on the look out.

Eminem is also gifting his fans a little treat right before Christmas. He dropped the video treatment for his new single, “Walk On Water,” featuring Beyonce. The track is cut from his recently released LP, Revival. While Bey lent her vocals for the track, she did not appear in the video.

In the clip, a vulnerable Em is shown trying his damnedest to pen his next song as a class of Eminems type away jibberish on old school typewriters. Nothing makes sense until one of the Slim Shadys type “Stan.” In another scene, Marshall Mathers walks over frozen water through a snowstorm.

After a tumultuous year, Mel B is looking to end it on a good note, leaving everything bad in 2017, including one of her tattoos.

Now, when most people want to get a tatted name of their ex off of their skin, they usually either get a cover up or do laser removal. Not Mel B.

The former Spice Girl has reportedly CUT her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte’s name off of her skin. Literally. This news comes days after her divorce from Stephen was finalized on December 15th after 10 years of marriage.

The “America’s Got Talent” judge told PEOPLE she had a surgeon slice his name off of her rib. The tattoo once read, “Stephen, till death do us part you own my heart” tattooed down her side. Not anymore.

The procedure required her to receive 13 stitches and then she will undergo a laser to minimize the incision scar. Sheesh!

As you know, Mel must pay Stephen $15,000/month for the next three years in spousal support and they will share custody of their daughter. They’ll also split the proceeds from their $8.9 million LA mansion.

After wrapping up her “State Of The World” tour in Atlanta last week, Janet Jackson is in full mommy mode.

The51-year-old singer was spotted cradling her 11-month-old baby boy Eissa as she made her way to the pool in Miami Beach.

Baby Eissa looked worn out as his mom held him close to her chest.

This will be the singer’s first holiday season as a single mother with her baby boy after calling it quits with her husband Wissam Al Mana back in January. She's currently in the process of divorcing him after 5 years of marriage.

We're jealous. Janet and baby Eissa will be enjoying warm weather while we freeze.

We’re at the end of 2017, but it’s still a year of firsts. And we’re here for it all.

Meghan Markle just became the first fiancée to join the Royal Family for their traditional Christmas Day Church service at the Queen’s Sandringham estate.

The former “Suits” actress walked arm-in-arm with her soon-to-be husband Prince Harry as they trekked from Sandringham House to St. Mary Magadalene Church. And she looked like she was born to do this.

The soon-to-be duchess rocked a long, wide collar SENTALER wrap coat in camel, a brown Philip Treacy hat, a Chloe pixie bag, and brown suede Stuart Weitzman boots.

Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Princess Anne, Princess Royal, Prince Andrew, Duke of York, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and a pregnant Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, joined the happy couple on the short journey to the church.

The 36-year-old humanitarian will not be a fiancee for long. She’ll become the Duchess of Sussex in May 2018 for a fairytale church wedding at the historic St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.

This Christmas didn’t go down without some drama for Cardi B and her fiancé Offset. Apparently, the Migos’ rapper’s phone was hacked and a video of him cheating was leaked. Nude videos of Cardi were also exposed. Are they still together? Find out inside….

Cardi B’s career and love life extended to higher heights this year as she made Billboard history and got engaged. But, it appears 2017 isn’t ending on the best note for the NYC raptress and her Down South boo.

Someone was able to hack into the Migos rapper's phone and found a video of him in a hotel with a mystery woman who isn’t his fiancé.

According to Fameolous, the video was taken back in September when Cardi and Offset were dating. Fans quickly noticed the shoes and outfit in the video was the same ensemble he wore during a concert back in September. The site reportedly spoke with Cardi directly, and she allegedly confirmed it is Offset in the video.

It’s unclear if Cardi knew beforehand that Offset was cheating, but she made a post on her Instagram in October that hinted she may have found out then. She posted up a selfie with a text overlay reading, “Single.”

Soon after, she reported back to social media to explain the post, saying she was upset about something and overreacted.

“So listen babes, I exaggerated a lil bit ’cause earlier I was really upset and the Bronx girl in me always have to go to the extreme. I came to my senses now. I’m sorry…Waffle House on me?," she wrote.

Not too long after her IG drama, Offset proposed to her onstage during Power 99’s Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia on October 27th. And she ended up gifting him a Roll Royce for his birthday a few weeks ago.

Before the video of Offset in the hotel room leaked, Cardi posted this cryptic message:

After opening the first box, Kim said she responded,“That’s so sweet. Thanks.”

But, Ye had something up his sleeve.

The engagement comes weeks after Eva and Michael announced they’re pregnant with their first baby together. It’ll be Eva’s second child as the 33-year-old shares 3-year-old daughter Marley Rae with her ex-Kevin McCall. Surprisingly, Kevin hasn’t commented on her engagement like he did when she announced she was 5-months pregnant last month. It’s always hard to lose a loved one and it seems it’s even harder when it happens during the holidays.

Unfortunately, Rihanna has to deal with a loved taken away during what’s supposed to be the happiest time of the year.

According to local reports, 21-year-old Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne was walking through a track near his home when a man approached him. The man reportedly shot him multiple times before fleeing the scene.

He was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

RiRi posted up a tribute to her cousin in total shock being that they had just spent Christmas together. The "Work" singer also called for an end to gun violence. 

"RIP cousin... can't believe it was just last night that I held you in my arms! never thought that would be the last time I felt the warmth in your body!!! Love you always man! #endgunviolence," she wrote on Instagram.

So sad.

What's worse, he was killed on the same day as her Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Matte Lipstick Collection dropped.

Cardi B isn’t going to let hackers get the best of her.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper has lawyered up and she’s coming after whoever hacked into her fiancé Offset’s phone and release videos of her in the nude.

Cardi's attorney, Scott Mason, says the videos were illegally obtained, which means they have a suit on their hands. And her team is doing an full investigation to catch the leakers.

We told you several videos from Offset's phone were released over the holiday weekend. One video sparked headlines that Offset cheated on Cardi. In the clip, viewers saw a naked woman (who was NOT Cardi) in the bathroom rubbing her butt in a hotel bathroom while Offset recorded. Fans were able to piece together when the alleged cheating happened based on his outfit. It was revealed that he cheated on Cardi in September after fans matched his outfit in the video to an outfit he wore for a concert. Soon after the video was leaked, the “Bartier Cardi” rapper confirmed it was Offset in the leaked video.

There were also a few videos of Cardi dancing butt bald naked that was leaked online as well. There are rumors that one of the videos was the beginning of a sex tape.

However, the cheating scandal hasn’t caused Cardi and Offset to break up. They went on Instagram Live and posted up a faux sex tape to clap back at the haters. These two…

Rapper Jim Jones woke up to the most devastating news on Christmas morning. Unfortunately, his mother’s house caught on fire. Luckily, everyone was able to get out unharmed, but it was a huge blow to his family as it was the house he bought his mother when he first started making money as a rapper. He said so many memories were made in that home as it was the home his son grew up in.

However, he said the greatest gift was that everyone was about to get out of the home safe and sound. Peep the clip above.

According to a local news report, the blaze broke out in the Lantana Avenue home in Englewood, N.J around 5:15 a.m. Monday (December 25th). Three people sustained minor injuries.

Solange has opened up about a health issue she has been dealing with for the last few months, which has caused her to cancel her New Year’s Eve performance at Afropunk. Get the deets inside…

It’s with sad news that Solange will not be hitting the stage for her scheduled New Year’s Eve performance at Afropunk Fest in South Africa. The reason? An illness she has kept under wraps.

Today, the “Cranes In The Sky” singer revealed she has been “quietly treating and working through” an autonomic disorder. The 31-year-old singer didn’t reveal the specific type of disorder as the term autonomic disorder is a blanket term for a breakdown of the autonomic nervous system.

“It [has] been a journey that hasn’t been easy on me...Sometimes I feel cool, and other times not so cool at all. It’s a complicated diagnoses, and I’m still learning so much myself, but right now, my doctors are not clearing me for such an extended lengthy flight, and doing a rigorous show right after.”

Earlier this year, the Grammy Award winner had to cancel two concerts. She was tapped to headline at Florida State University’s homecoming concert, but she ended up having to cancel due to a “medical condition.”

She continued:

“I can’t put into words how saddened and sorry I am that I am unable to perform for you guys this NYE, there is simply no other place I wanted to be than there with my family to bring in 2018 with you.......but I give you my ABSOLUTE WORD I will come back with AfroPunk and deliver this performance.....as it is so extremely important to me to connect with the people who have so closely inspired me in so many ways.”

Solo revealed several festivals she performed at during the summer and fall knew about her condition and kept it confidential. She thanked them for going out of their way to make sure she was comfortable.

“This past year has been one of the most fulfilling of my life...Performing this record and experiencing the energy exchange with you guys has been astounding, and I’m so excited about continuing to do the work I feel so absolutely humbled and appreciative to be doing next year. It gives me life.”

However it’s so important to me for the people in South Africa, a place that has tremendous meaning to me and that has given me SO SO MUCH, to know why I won’t be performing at Afro Punk this NYE. The past five months I have been quietly treating, and working through an Autonomic Disorder. It been a journey that hasn’t been easy on me... Sometimes I feel cool, and other times not so cool at all. It’s a complicated diagnoses , and I’m still learning so much myself, but right now, my doctors are not clearing me for such an extended lengthy flight, and doing a rigorous show right after. I can’t put into words how saddened and sorry I am that I am unable to perform for you guys this NYE, there is simply no other place I wanted to be than there with my family to bring in 2018 with you.......but I give you my ABSOLUTE WORD I will come back with AfroPunk and deliver this performance.....as it is so extremely important to me to connect with the people who have so closely inspired me in so many ways. I can’t thank Afro Punk enough for their support, and to all of the other festivals this past summer/fall who have known about my health, kept it confidential, and gone out of their way to make me feel supported while doing these shows. As a part of the self care that I’ve tried to encourage this past year, it needs to start with myself, and I’m looking forward to doing a better job of this 2018. This past year has been one of the most fulfilling of my life... Performing this record and experiencing the energy exchange with you guys has been astounding, and I’m so excited about continuing to do the work I feel so absolutely humbled and appreciative to be doing next year. It gives me life.

We hate hearing this. We pray she remains healthy and we don't expect nothing but greatness in 2018.

The Afropunk organizers also issued a statement regarding Solo’s canceled performance, telling fans:

“We would like to thank Solange for her ongoing support, and for sharing this year with us at AFROPUNK festivals around the world. It is incredibly important to those of us at AFROPUNK that she recovers and remains in good health. Her music and spirit has been a place of great comfort and inspiration to us as a community. And of course we are incredibly saddened that she will no longer be performing at the inaugural AFROPUNK Joburg this weekend.”

“Solange was greatly looking forward to being a part of this historic occasion, and as her statement makes clear, she has vowed to come back to Johannesburg with AFROPUNK at a later date.”
