Former NFLer Warren Moon Sued (AGAIN) For Sexual Harassment – Woman Reveals Crotch Grabbing, Getting Drugged, Sleeping In Same Bed On Business Trips, Threats Of Firing

Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon is being accused of sexual harassment…AGAIN. Details inside…

Another day, another sexual assault accusation at the hands of a wealthy man who likely believed he could get away with it. Even after already being accused previously.

One of Warren Moon's former female employees from his sports marketing firm has pulled the trigger on a lawsuit, accusing the former Vikings player of sexual harassment and sexual battery.

According to ESPN, the woman – named Wendy Haskell–claims Moon made "unwanted and unsolicited" sexual advances toward her while she was working for Sports 1 Marketing as Moon's assistant. The lawsuit, filed in Orange County, lists Moon as president and co-owner of the Irvine, California-based company.

She details several incidents where he was hella inappropriate. He allegedly drugged her, touched her genitals while she was sleeping and even removed her bathing suit without her permission.  And there's plenty more.

ESPN reports:

The lawsuit alleges that soon after Haskell was hired in July 2017, Moon demanded that she "submit to a variety of unnerving sexual and perverse controlling arrangements, including sleeping in the same bed with him on all business trips, providing him unfettered access to the bathroom every time she showered, wearing skimpy lingerie while in the obligatory single room, obtaining prior approval for her wardrobe, and being subjected to continuous unwanted and unsolicited sexual advances."

According to the lawsuit, Moon drugged Haskell's drink without her consent during a business trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Haskell said she began feeling strange and asked Moon if he had put something in her drink, which he then admitted to doing, she said, telling her he did so because he thought she wasn't "having fun." On the same trip, according to the lawsuit, Moon pulled off Haskell's bathing suit while they were on the beach, despite her pleas with him to stop.

On another business trip to Seattle, she said, Moon grabbed her crotch while she was sleeping.

After rejecting another one of Moon's alleged sexual advances, Haskell said Moon wrote in an email to her the following day that if she wasn't comfortable with his demands, he would "find someone who doesn't have inhibitions about the job."

Wendy got fed up with his sexual advances, so she wrote an email to the company’s CEO, but they did nothing to address the matter. In fact, they demoted her and cut her pay.

Moon has denied the allegations, in a text sent to Seattle’s King 5 TV. He also has taken a leave of absence from his role on Seattle Seahawks radio broadcasts.

This isn’t the first time he’s been brought up on sexual harassment allegations. Back in 1994, a former Vikings cheerleader sued him after she said the then QB offered her money for sex. He also allegedy came to the bar she worked to make moves on her. Moon claims he didn’t do it, and they ending up settling the lawsuit out of court.

The following year, Moon was arrested after he was accused of slapping and choking his wife in his Texas home. His wife ended up having the charges dropped and they ended up getting a divorce.

First Look At ‘WAGS Atlanta’ + Oprah Sells Majority Of OWN To Discovery + Jordan Peele Is Bringing Back ‘Twilight Zone’ Series

0

 photo oprahjordan.jpg

Oprah is making some business moves behind-the-scenes at the OWN network. But not everyone's a fan.  Meanwhile, Jordan Peele is gearing up to bring back a classic series. Also, we have the first look at the upcoming "WAGS Atalanta" inside...

Some new Georgia peaches are ready to take over Atlanta.  As if we needed more wiggery and heavy makeup with a side of shade.

Who are we kidding....BRING IT!

Right after we kick off 2018, we’ll be introduced to some new wives and girlfriends of professional atheles on E!’s upcoming series “WAGS Atlanta.” Look out “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

The series follows the relationships and glamorous lifestyles of Ariel Anderson, Niche Caldwell, Kierra Douglas, Kaylin Jurrjens, KeshaNorman, Brandi Rhodes, Shuntel “Telli” Swift, Sincerely Ward, and Hope Wiseman. These nine tight-knit Atlanta-based wives and girlfriends of today’s hottest professional athletes live life unapologetically, with no boundaries and no filters within the infamous social life of Atlanta.

The new series kicks off Wednesday, January 3rd at 10pm EST on E! In the meantime, check out the first sneak peek above.

As for new business dealings...

 photo oprahdiscovery.jpg

Talk about money moves, Oprah just banked some new millions, but it cost her.

Discovery Communications has reportedly paid Lady O $70 million to take majority interest in the OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, according to the LA Times.

Up until now, it was a 50-50 split between Oprah and Discovery, but the new deal gives Discovery Communications an additional 24.5%, almost holding nearly 75% of the company.

Lady O isn’t dumping OWN any time soon. She will remain the CEO of the network. Fun fact: This is the first time she has sold k in OWN since it launched in 2011.

“Creating OWN and seeing it flourish, supported by Discovery and a rapidly growing group of the finest storytellers in film and television, is one of my proudest achievements,” Oprah said in a statement.  “I’m thrilled with the network’s success and excited about this next chapter in our partnership.”

Discovery Chief Executive David Zaslav also released a statement about the deal:

“This transaction allows Discovery and Oprah to unlock more value from our partnership; extends once more her commitment to the network; and lets us continue our strong work together to nourish OWN viewers with the content they love."

So hopefully ladies and gentleman, “Queen Sugar” and “Greenleaf” aren’t going anywhere.  But not everyone's convinced.

There's been rumblings around the net that Oprah selling her stake in such a successful network at such a (relatively) low price could mean something else.  Also, not everyone is here for a black head honcho giving up majority control of a black-focused media empire to a mainstream (i.e. white) conglomoration.  Will our voices be watered down and controlled, which was exactly the reason for the need for OWN and channels of the like in the first place?

Time will tell...

In other television news...

 photo peeletwlight.jpg

Life after Get Out is busy for Jordan Peele.

The comedian/filmmaker is teaming up with Simon Kinberg and Marco Ramirez to do a reboot on the classic throwback TV series “The Twilight Zone.” And we’ll get to see it on a CBS All Access, a new streaming platform from the network. The original series aired for five seasons on CBS, from 1959-1964.

Here’s how Jordan will have his hand in the series:

It hails from CBS Television Studios in association with Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Simon Kinberg’s Genre Films. Jordan Peele, Simon Kinberg and Marco Ramirez (Sons of Anarchy, Daredevil, The Defenders) will serve as executive producers for the series and collaborate on the premiere episode. Win Rosenfeld and Audrey Chon will also serve as executive producers, along with Carol Serling, widow of The Twilight Zone creator Rod Serling, and Rick Berg, manager of the Serling literary estate.

“Too many times this year it’s felt we were living in a twilight zone, and I can’t think of a better moment to reintroduce it to modern audiences,” said Peele.

No lies told.

NO PICTURES PLEASE! Beyonce & Blue Ivy Make A Target Run + Bey's Real Life Doppelgänger Says She’s Constantly Mobbed By Fans & We See Why!

 photo beytargetlookalike.png

Beyonce is just like us! See pics and videos of the singer making a Target run, plus meet her lookalike inside...

 photo beytarget.png

Sometimes Beyonce just likes to do some regular ish. And we can’t blame her. We love a good Target run.

Yesterday, the Grammy Award winner, her daughter Blue Ivy and who appears to be Mama Tina (pushing Blue Ivy) made a shopping run in one of our fave retail stores, Target, in San Clemente, California. Mrs. Carter tried to disguise her appearance, but she’s going to need more than a pair of sunglasses to trick the BeyHive.

And it looks like we know at least one Christmas item she’ll be picking up this holiday season. The “Love On Top“ singer was seen strolling down the bicycle aisle while pushing the red cart. She was also spotted looking through the little kids clothing section. Hmm...we wonder if she picked up a few things for Blue, Sir and Rumi.

An eager fan was even able to capture a quick video while they were getting their shop on:

A post shared by Beylite (@beylite) on

No lie, if we were in that Target, we probably would have lost our sh*t.

Speaking of Bey...

 photo beylook4.png

No, this is not the real Beyonce. But it sure as hell looks like it.

 photo beylook3.png

Her name is Brittany Williams and she lives in Detroit, Michigan. On Instagram, she goes by the name of SurB and she has been gaining notoriety for her undeniable resemblance to Beyonce. She’s a spitting freakin' image!

While she looks like Beyonce, she claims she doesn’t try to look like her and that it’s all “coincidental.” We’re not sure about that one (girl, those highlights and color are def intentional), but she sure is pulling it off. She chopped it up with the DailyMail to describe what life is like when you look like an international superstar. And it may not be all it's cracked up to be.

 photo beylook2.png

“I get approached all the time; whether it be on planes, at the airport or while attending events,” she said. “I've also been chased, had pictures taken of me without my consent and pranks done without me knowing. A group of women once chased me and my friend to our car and began singing ‘Single Ladies,’ beating my friend's car with the heels of their shoes until we rolled down the window and took a picture with them. Most people are generally friendly though and just want a picture, they often say I look like a younger version of Beyoncé.”

 photo beylook5.png

Brittany said she sings, dances and writes just like the real Bey. At first, she said the comparison would bother her, but now she has come to accept it.  We can think of plenty of worse things in life...

“We both have southern roots. My parents and her parents look like they could be related. She sings, dances, writes and I am gifted in the same ways; we're both strong dominant women, fearless, and God fearing.”

 photo beylook1.png

Brittany even dressed up as Beyonce in her “Love On Top” video for Halloween and totally nailed it.  Obvi.

Here's a video of Brittany reciting some poetry she wrote. She looks like Bey, but she doesn't sound anything like her:

When Trap Rapunzel meets Trap Selena, you get that "Motorsport" video.  We've got it inside, plus the hilarious reactions to Nicki Minaj's pink braids that drag on the floor and Cardi B taking over Jeremy Scott's fragrance launch....

Nicki Minaj served up pink microbraided inches, and we mean INCHES, thanks to famed hairstylist Kim Kimble and her style team led by Kendra Garvey, all for the new "Motorsport" vid.

Kim revealed it took 36 hours to create the look, which we saw her original version of in blonde and a tad wee bit shorter on Beyoncé in Michelle Williams' "Jesus Say Yes" video. We saw a longer length version in the Lemonade epicness as well. This has GOT to be a wig, but the hair braiders haven't yet confirmed if it is.

Black Twitter & 'em couldn't handle all the fabness from Trap Rapunzel.  As Nicki celebrates her 35th birthday today, she's getting meme'd all over the place, but in the best ways.

Speaking of Cardi B, Trap Selena took her talents to Miami last night.  She partied it up and performed for Moschino designer Jeremy Scott's fragrance launch during Art Basel.

We hear Cardi and VIPs sipped on Tanqueray No. TEN bottle service before a special performance by the Bronx babe which was exclusively livestreamed by TIDAL. She also brought out G-Eazy to surprise the crowd with their "No Limit" banger of a collabo. Chick is putting in WORK.

Just when she thought this year couldn’t get any better, it does.

Serena Williams became a first-time mom when she gave birth to her adorable daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. in September. Then, she married the love of her life Alexis Ohanian in New Orleans in November.

Now, she has two new big feats coming down the pipeline to top 2017 off as one of the best years of her life.

After gaining the title of mother and wife, the tennis superstar will now be gunning after another title. The 36-year-old has reportedly entered the 2018 Australian Open to compete in the first Grand Slam of the next year. And she’ll be defending her title as she took home the trophy last year WHILE pregnant with baby Alexis. Grand Slam #24 is in the works!

Last night, the tennis star popped up at Eva Longoria's Global Gift Gala held at the Nobu Eden Roc Hotel in Miami to help raise funds to go towards the hurricane relief efforts. That snapback is in full effect.

Oh, and it gets better...

Not only is her personal life on cloud 9, she’s also being honored in a MAJOR way for the strides she has made in the tennis world. Serena will have the largest building at the Nike World Headquarters named after her. YAS! She made the announcement via Instagram. See what she said above.

With everything going on in her career, Serena's first priority is her baby girl. She shared an intimate moment with her fans about how she feels when it's time to stop breastfeeding.

Aww! We're sure some of the YBF moms can relate.

Comedian Hannibel Buress just became content of what we're sure will be his own next stand up act.  Watch how his confrontation with cops in Miami went left and landed him in jail early this morning inside...

 photo DQtMrTNW4AA_x52_zps9vsgnvue.jpg

After rising to fame after bringing those Bill Cosby drugging rumors to light (again) during his comedy routine, Hannibal Buress is now caught up in his own drama.

The comedian/actor was seen outside in the Miami streets around 2AM getting hemmed up by police, and can be seen repeatedly asking them what he's being detained for.

The confrontation became more heated, and he was physically pushed into a police car when he refused to get in himself.

Interestingly, the cops told him he was being arrested for "trespassing," but TMZ was told by a jail source that he was booked for "disorderly intoxication."

Hmmm.  Did the cops simply not have probable cause to cuff him and noticed he seemingly had a drinky drink and slapped that charge on his record?  You can watch a couple videos taken by eyewitnesses on the scene below:

After posting a $500 bond, he was released at 6AM this morning.

TWEET & DEFEND! Chris Brown, Cardi B. & More Reach Out To Help Bullied Kid Who's Going Viral

When a Knoxville, Tennessee school kid went viral this weekend after telling his emotional bullying story, both everyday people and celebs starting offering up words of support and taking action.  See what Chris Brown and others said inside...

How horrible!

We all have heard how much a problem bullying is both online and offline, and now, little Keaton Jones is another face of the movement to make it all stop.

Keaton's mother posted a video of her son after school recently asking why his classmates are bullies.  He was bullied tot he point where he wouldn't eat lunch, because kids would pour milk on him and make fun of his looks to the point where he is shaking and crying.

It's sad to watch, but seeing athletes, actors and people around the net stand up for what's right is definitely a good thing.  Some people have even set a plan to go up to the school on Tuesday and meet up with little Keaton.

Chris Brown posted the video and words of support:

And other YBF celebs are also speaking up:

SZA is the ultimate weekend ting.  And she proved it this weekend while performing magical new arrangements for her songs "Love Galore" and "The Weekend," plus getting everybody in their feelings by using a gospel choir.  Ha!

We've got the performances, as well as Michael Che's "Gretchen" you GOTTA see, inside...

SZA pulled up on Studio 8H Saturday night to be the musical guest for the James Franco-hosted "SNL" episode. She killed it, as expected.  But the fact she had a whole choir to back her up during "The Weekend" rubbed some folks the wrong way.

We guess everybody ain't here for sidechick gospel.

It was LIT over on our IG all weekend about this. Join the convo HERE.

Check out the gorgeous singer-songwriter killing it below:

And yeah, yeah, yeah. We've heard the "It's not a sing abut being a side chick" convoluted argument. But nah bruh. We have yet to comprehend a better understanding. Let it be what it's about and leave it alone so we can jam out in ignorant bliss.

The Grammy-nominated chick also unveiled an unreleased verse for "Love Galore":

Loves it.

In other SZA news, expect the video, directed by Solange Knowles, to drop any day now.

Yassss!

Also on the episode, "Weekend Update" host Michael Che threw on his wiggery to become "a white woman named Gretchen" so he could get a taste of what life is really like being a liberal ass white woman in America.

It.Was.HILARIOUS.

SEAHAWKS VS. EVERYBODY! Players FIGHT On The Field & Jaguars Fan Almost Caught Some Hands From A Player + Cam Newton & Fam Serve Up Christmas Vibes

0
0

 photo seahawkfight.jpg

The Seahawks vs. Jaguars game got SO heated punches were thrown and one player even tried to climb in the stands to fight a Jags fan. See everything that went down, plus the cute Christmas flicks from Cam Newton and his family inside…

Yesterday’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and Jacksonville Jaguar had EVERYONE in their feelings.

Tensions were running HIGH, resulting in an all out brawl in the middle of the field between the NFL teams and one NFL player let his emotions get the best of him.

As the Jaguars tried to run out the clock, Seahawks defensive ends kept rushing the line, and that’s when the brawls began breaking out.  The refs rushed in, throwing flags and did their damnedest to break it up, but it took a while. There were punches thrown and everybody was getting a lick in.

Check it below:

After the brawl was finally broken up, Seahawks' defensive lineman Quinton Jefferson was ejected (along with Sheldon Richardson) from the game. As Q made his way to the locker room, Jags fans began throwing soda and beer at him, which only set him off even further. Dude got so mad he tried to climb the wall into the stands to fight whoever threw the drinks. Luckily, Seahawks personnel were able to hold him back:

After the Jags closed the game with a 30-24 victory, Quinton spoke with the media to explain why he went postal (via ESPN):

"Folks in the stands was throwing beer and throwing soda, whatever. I mean, I don't know what I'm supposed to do," said Jefferson, a second-year player. "I'm a human just like anybody else. I'm a man just like the other man in the stands. I'm not going to let somebody disrespect me, throw a beer on me.

"Just because I'm playing football, I'm still a human being. I'm still a man. I'm out there playing a game, and at the end of the day, it's a game, and I'm a man. I'm not going to let somebody disrespect me like that."

Asked if he felt it was right to attempt to go into the stands, Jefferson responded: "I don't know. Was it the right call for him to throw beer on me? I'm just wondering if it was the right call for him to throw a beer on me. Just saying."

Hmm…we see both sides. The fan throwing drinks at him was MAD disrespectful and as a human being we can see why he got so upset. On the flip side, he is at work and should try to remain as professional as possible. So, do you think he was justified for his outburst or nah?

On a sidenote, the Jags stadium DEF needs to up their security game.

Don’t Piss Remy Ma Off, Because Chick Will EXPOSE You With Receipts! Ok, Azealia Banks?

0

 photo remyabanks.jpg

It’s another rap beef for Remy Ma as she and Azealia Banks went at it via social media over the weekend. Sip the tea inside….

The pettiness was at an all time high on social media when Remy Ma and Azealia Banks got into it.

It all started when Banks posted up a quote made by Remy about how “dry” the female rap game is. As expected, the Harlem native didn’t appreciate the Bronx raptress’ comments so she addressed it on her Instagram. At first, Azealia called Remy a “confused Nicki Minaj Stan,” but then she changed her caption to what's written below:

Oh, and Banks wasn't done there. She also hoped on Instagram stories, dubbing Remy as an "auntie" and begged her stop writing "Nicki Minaj love letters" as songs and she also encouraged Rem to stop with gangsta bullsh*t because that no longer works in 2017. Peep the clips below:

Well, Rem had time and decided to respond to Azealia's social media dragging with receipts. The "All The Way Up" rapper posted a series of text messages that Azealia sent her where she basically praised her as the best female rapper in the game.

Then, Remy hopped on IG Live to show she didn't delete any messages, sharing video of her text messages with the time stamp. She called Azealia a STALKER. In the video, Remy was trying to get her team to help her blast Banks, but they weren't with it. Even her husband Papoose asked her to stop, but she had to prove a point.

Shonda Rhimes Says ‘We’re Reclaiming Our Time’ Amid Sexual Assault Controversy While Accepting A MAJOR Award, Plenty Of Celebs Show Support At THR Breakfast

Shonda Rhimes keeps a few inspirational gems in her back pocket. And she offered up some good words while she accepted an award at the THR Women In Entertainment Breakfast. Catch them inside…

The Hollywood Reporter hosted its Women In Entertainment Breakfast to give props to all of the “bada**” women snataching wigs and taking names in the entertainment industry. And since they were celebrating trailblazing women in the industry, its only right television producer Shonda Rhimes received an award.

 photo HollywoodReporter2017WomenEntertainmentwBeTUIdv5SFl.jpg

The Shondaland honcho hit the stage to receive an award and while accepting the honor she wanted everyone in the audience to know how "creative and badass" the women of entertainment are.

The first guest editor of The Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment issue said:

"I thought it was a regular thing. I mean, Oprah [Winfrey] had to have done it. Beyonce, clearly. Meryl Streep? Definitely. Obviously.”

It’s a pivotal moment in time for women as hoards of women are stepping forward to BLAST many high-powered men about how they were sexually assaulted. And those times where women kept their mouth shut about it are long gone. She continued:

"This lightning-fast, brightly lit, 'We handmaids are over these red hats, Westeros is ours, we are reclaiming our time, we’re swinging our "Lemonade" baseball bats, we are all Wonder Women now because guess what, women are just so DONE with this molester-y hot mess that makes you feel you can put your creepy hands on us so there’s the door because you have got to GO' reckoning moment in time."

"My daughter told me to ask for a story on powerful women and their teenage daughters," said Shonda. "I heard horror stories at a baby shower and that turned into an article on how working women are treated in this business when they are pregnant. I railed against what turned out to be a really great story about boots. I did a big interview. We talked about sexual harassment and abuse and what can be done. I tried as hard as I could to stalk Jennifer Lawrence to find out how she does it, but THR got a restraining order. And I loved every single minute of all of it."

Working on the issue, Shonda said she felt like she had to be very protective of women and how the issue would portray them.

"And I ended up with this very protective feeling for you, my fellow women in entertainment," she said. "Protective of how this issue would portray you. After all, in our business, how we portray women tells the world who women are. I just want the world to know how powerful and creative and badass and original you all are."

Loves her! Peep a clip from her speech below:

Well That De-Escalated Quickly: Bullied Kid Keaton Jones' Mother Ripped Of Go Fund Me, Flew Confederate Flags & Talked Ish About Blacks. Black Twitter Took Back Sympathy.

 photo DQu5JYmUIAYHpVj_zpss4nftoaa.jpg

If you were boo-hoo'ing about the bullied kid who went viral, Keaton Jones, or donating to his random Go Fund Me, the tables have definitely turned. And we can all thank the P.I.'s at Black Twitter. Deets on Keaton's seemingly racist family and their possibly fraudulent activities inside...

Ugh.  Just when we were all the way in our feelings over poor little Keaton Jones after his extremely emotional video recounting his bullying experience at school, we find out there's more to the story.  Way more.

After an outpouring of love, support and offers to fly out from celebs and people all around the net, somebody did some digging.  Keaton's mother Kimberly Jones, who originally shot the video, was quite public about her feelings about black athletes and the south on her Facebook page.  The same black athletes and southerners who were more than happy to offer up their time and money to make Keaton feel better.

Kimberly shared pics of the Tennessee family holding up the confederate flag and statuses shading black athletes who were kneeling during the national anthem. Oh?!

Not only that, an Instagram account claiming to be her popped up and athletes like professional MMA boxer Joe Schilling reached out to her via that. According to Joe, the person on the other end, who claimed to be Kimberly, said she'd rather receive money to the Go Fund Me she started than his offer for little Keaton to come visit him.

When he asked what the money was for, the person said for Christmas presents because she's "poor."

Oh?!

The convo quickly turned racial with the person asking Joe why he's not helping out his fellow white person.  And more racist statement were spewed from that account.

Joe put the account on blast (swipe above) and the internets lost it.

Now, that Instagram account and that Go Fund Me (which raised $58,249) are in question about their authenticity.  Go Fund Me shut down the campaign, as well as a second one that was started.  Neither were started by Kimberly herself, but by people allegedly "close to her."

Another Instagram account claiming to be Keaton himself posted a message saying he apologizes for his mother's actions.  Keaton's sister, whose Twitter has been verified, claims the accounts are not their mother's.

But since the Facebook account that posted a few racist statements has been confirmed as hers, that was enough for folks to turn their backs on the situation. Keaton was a trending topic on Twitter all day Monday.

Many celebs who first reached out now say they are disgusted by the mother, but still are here for Keaton because he's innocent in this. Others are washing their hands of the whole suspect situation, calling into question whether this was all just one big scam. In the meantime, there's always plenty of bullying causes and families who have lost children to bullycide who you can reach out to. A few are below:

Humanity aint ish in 2017.

ROOTING FOR EVERYBODY BLACK: Issa Rae, Mary J. Blige, Sterling K. Brown, Daniel Kaluuya & More Turn Up For Their Golden Globe Nominations!

0

 photo gg noms_zpstoqe7fnu.png

The Golden Globes are on the borderline of getting their own #SoWhite campaign, but the YBF folks who did nab a nomination are thrilled AF. Find out who's headed to the ultimate movie & tv award show red carpet inside...

Come thru with the second nomination, Issa Rae! Our fave "Insecure" chick nabbed her second Golden Globe nomination as lead actress in a comedy series.  Yassss!  Both she and her on screen bestie Yvonne Orji celebrated saying:

Issa was nominated last year in the same category, so hopefully this second time is the charm.

Director Jordan Peele didn't get a Best Director for a Comedy nod like he TOTALLY should have, but his flick Get Out is officially nominated for Best Picture in the Comedy or Musical category (that category choice was a strategic move that clearly paid off). And lead actor Daniel Kaluuya also nabbed a nomination for Lead Actor in A Comedy or Musical.

Daniel's co-star Allison Williams is celebrating as well:

Mary J. Blige landed two nominations - one for her supporting role in her new movie Mudbound, and one for her original song "Mighty River" from the film. She was also nominated in the Best Original Song category in both 2007 and 2012, so let's see if she can pull it out this go round.

Mary caught up with Entertainment Weekly right after the noms were announced Monday morning.  Here's what she said:

MARY J. BLIGE: Oh my god, it feels amazing! I can’t stop thanking God. I can’t stop praising God. I can’t stop being happy. I’m just so grateful — too grateful. It’s a beautiful thing.

Where were you when you found out about your nominations?
I was in bed. I’m in L.A., so it’s early still.

Did someone wake you up with the news?
No, my publicist was blowing me up, and I answered the phone. She excitedly told me everything, and I just woke up screaming and thanking God.

Nice!

While Tracee Ellis Ross got snubbed this year (even though she's killing it as new mom again Rainbow on "black ish" this season), the hit ABC series got another nominaton, and so did Anthony Anderson.

Speaking of leading men nabbing tv nomination, we hope Sterling K. Brown has it in the bag this year:

The "This Is Us" star was nominated for his Best Supporting role as Chris Darden in The People vs. O.J. last year. The show itself nabbed a Best Drama Series nomination as well. Definitely well deserved.

No blacks were nominated in the director category (no women either) or in the leading actress categories.

A few other YBF folks will be twirling down the 2018 Golden Globes red carpet.  Denzel Washington nabbed a nom for his leading role in the drama Roman J. Israel, Esq., Raphael Saadiq shares the Best Original Song nomination with MJB, and Octavia Spencer was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the drama Shape of Water.

Congrats all around!

VOGUE COVER GIRL! Lupita Nyong’o Is Trying Out Pole Dancing & This Is What She Said About Her Love Life

 photo lupv1.jpg

Another year, another VOGUE cover. Peep Lupita Nyong’o flexing her yoga kills, plus find out what she said about her new pole dancing hobby and her love life inside…

Our fave Lupita Nyong’o is super busy these days. She’s currently on the promo trail for Star Wars: The Last Jedi and will soon be promoting Black Panther. In between, she’s filming Americanah and a comedy/horror film called Little Monsters.

While she has a lot going on, she was able to squeeze in time for a photoshoot and interview for VOGUE magazine’s January 2018. When VOGUE calls, you answer. And that she did in such a flawless way. Yoga pose? Check! Yoga pose on a paddleboard effortlessly? Double check!

 photo lupv2.jpg

For the cover story, the Kenyan beauty revealed she has picked up a new hobby. And it’s likely something you’d never guess the Yale School of Drama alum would partake in. Pole dancing! She said a male friend talked her into going to a strip club, a fancy one in Midtown. After seeing the girls’ acrobatics, she said she had to learn.

“It was incredible and sexy, and I thought, I need to learn how to do that,” the 34-year-old told the magazine. And we’re not even mad.

With learning all these new sexy dance moves, is she learning for a special man in her life? VOGUE asked and she answered.

“You can ask, but you definitely won’t get an answer,” she responds.“There have been rumors and rumors and rumors about my love life. That’s the one area that I really like to hold close to my heart.”

Bloop!

 photo lupv3.jpg

The Oscar winning actress also briefly touched on the sexual assault scandals that are plaguing the entertainment industry following her lengthy op-ed NY Times piece she wrote about how Harvey Weinstein made advances towards her.

“Now that we are speaking, let us never shut up about this kind of thing.”

She’s absolutely right. Now that these men are being exposed, women are feeling empowered to speak up about how they have been degraded as well. And this is the only way to combat the same thing happening to our daughters.

You can read her full interview here.

EXTRAS:

1.  Well damn.  In lieu of its annual pre-Golden Globes party, this year CAA is helping to establish a legal defense fund for sexual harassment cases.  The awards ceremony afterparty will still take place Sunday night.  STORY

Six months after giving birth to twins, Beyonce is back to serving up hot shots from her personal stash.

Mrs. Carter took to her website and Instagram account to share a slew of new photos showing off two stylish ensembles we’d love to add to our wardrobe.  If we had that type of cake and leg definition...

And, it will not come cheap. Both outfits combined cost more than $20,000! Sheesh!

Posted up along side her husband Jay Z (who's currently on tour) inside their private jet, the “Perfect” singer rocked a Balenciaga "Alek" shirt, black Saint Laurent "Niki" over-the-knee crystal boots, a MCM Berlin trunk cross body bag, retro Ray Ban sunglasses, and a Y/PROJECT tulle wrapped hoodie.

Time will tell...

In music news...

 photo beyp10.jpg

This may be hard to believe, but Mrs. Carter hasn’t had a No. 1 single on the Billboard 100 in 9 years. Yep, not since her solo track “Single Ladies” debuted in December 2008.

We doubt she cares, because she's been making the music SHE wants to -- not focued on radio hits - for the last decade or so now.

Still, she’s back at the top now.

Bey’s “Perfect” duet with Ed Sheeran just landed at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. According to Billboard, the single reportedly sold 181,000 downloads, according to Nielsen Music. In terms of streaming, the songs charted with 34.9 million U.S. streams.

Congrats!

While making his way down the carpet, Kevin was asked what he wanted from Santa this year and he actually answered very openly, touching on his rough patch with that sex tape extortion scandal.

“Have I been naughty or nice? That’s definitely a tough question for Kevin Hart right now, it was a tough year for me,” Kevin told PEOPLE. “I had some bumps in the road,” he continued in a more serious tone. “But the good thing is you take great steps backwards to take great steps forward. So now, I’ve recovered from some not nice times and now what I basically want is for Santa to know that I’m doing good and I’m doing better. Just to know I’m good guy.”

Let's hope he learned his lesson.

COVER KILLERS: Russell Westbrook, Taraji P. Henson, Venus Williams & Yvonne Orji Serve Up Black Excellence This Holiday Season

Russell Westbrook, Taraji P. Henson, Venus Williams and Yvonne Orji have new magazines covers this holiday season. Get into them inside…

 photo rwespn2.jpg

Look who’s ready for Christmas!

Oklahoma City Thunder player Russell Westbrook is celebrating this Christmas with a brand new cover for ESPN The Magazine ‘Tis The Season issue. He graces not one, but two holiday-themed covers.

Aww! This will be his son Noah Westbrook's first Christmas!

 photo rwespn1.jpg

Inside, the new dad talks about the holidays and family traditions as his upcoming Christmas home game approaches.

ESPN: Has becoming a daddy changed you?

Russell Westbrook: I think the moment we knew we were having Noah was the moment it changed me. For the good, obviously. You start to think about the things that best benefit him. Everything in life revolves around him.

ESPN: Do you look at your job differently now that you're a dad? Are some things less important, more important?

RW: Yeah, you know what, it's a balance. I like to get to the gym early. I get here first and work on my game. But Noah wakes up really early, and I might have been gone on the road for six or seven days, and he hasn't seen me in a while. Then I'm staying at home. Which is OK, because that's more important to me than anything. That's just something I've had to get used to.

ESPN: Has anything surprised you about being a dad?

RW:The FOMO [fear of missing out] is a big thing for me. I never used to have that problem, but I've got it now. This season we were on the road a lot early. We'd go on a three-game road trip and then come back, then go another five or six games. My wife does a great job of constantly keeping me updated. But that's my biggest thing -- "Ah, I'm missing something." That's why when I get home I'm all, "Noah, let's do whatever."

You can read the rest of his interview here. Russell's two covers hit newsstands this Friday, December 15th.

The Thunder will go head-to-head against the Houston Rockets on Christmas night at 8pm EST.

Taraji P. Henson bosses up for a new cover and spread for IRIS Covet Book.

Inside, the “Empire” star is interviewed by Pam Grier where she opens up about how important it is for women to unite and stand together in the cut throat entertainment industry, especially for blakc women.

Below is an excerpt from the interview:

You know, recently there has been a lot of press exposing the reality of treatment of women in Hollywood/entertainment. Tell me about your thoughts on women supporting women in the industry.

Well, I’ve always been a big supporter of women, even before I got into the industry. I just think overall that that needs to be the narrative. Not just in the industry, but in the world, because art imitates life. If we’re artists, then we need to be setting examples for the world. That’s how I was raised, that’s all I know.

My mother was one of five sisters, so I grew up watching sisterhood. I’m real tight with all of my cousins. We never snitched on each other. We all got in trouble together, and we all went down together. We learned that from our mothers, watching them and how close they are. So, of course I’m going to be like that with other women. I don’t understand hating another woman.

We go through so much as women. Why am I, another woman, going to add to the stresses that women already have? Why would I do that?

Yeah, why tear each other down competitively? We should be supporting each other as women.

Yeah, why would you want to be that selfish? God didn’t make you the only human. He certainly didn’t make you the only female and he certainly didn’t make you the only female actor. How can I learn if I don’t have my counterpart’s work to watch? You know what I mean? I’m so happy with what’s happening right now in the industry. All of my friends are working. All of them.

What advice would you give to young women coming to Hollywood?

Be very clear and know why you’re coming to Hollywood. Whatever that dream is, don’t let anyone deter you. Keep focused on your bigger picture, stay in your lane, do not compare yourself, put in the work, do unto others as you would have them do unto you, and don’t take no shit!

That's right ladies. You heard Taraji, "Don't take no sh*t!"

But I think if I wanted normal, then maybe I wouldn’t have become a tennis player because nothing is normal about it, I enjoy all of it. That’s what helps me to balance it all—you find joy, and you figure out how to make it work.

On interior designing: I think it all started probably at about 18 when I got this letter in the mail, soliciting me to go to a design school in Tampa. That really kind of got me to think about what I wanted to study and do afterwards. When you’re doing commercial design, most states require a license, my goal was always to be a licensed interior designer, that was always my end goal. V Starr Interiors, based out of South Florida, tackles both residential and commercial spaces with a fresh Floridian aesthetic. “Our philosophy is not complicated: we do it right and we do it on time,” reads V Starr’s website, where you can view all the firm’s recent projects, including the new suites, and outdoor decks for Chicago’s Midtown Athletic Club.

On winning: “My goal is to see someone else win it! I don’t wanna win!” she jokes before taking a more serious tone. “There’s never another goal, never another goal, especially for me. I’ve won before, I know what it takes, and I know what it’s like,” But, she adds, she also knows when to accept defeat. “I don’t dwell on the past either,” she says. “The past is the past—I’m [just] looking for the next [win].”

How important is it to create content even when no one is watching?

If you build it they will come. I think it is so important to continue to put out your art, talents, and gifts because you have no idea who is going to watch it. We are in such a digital age right now that something you put out just for fun or just for your friends can land in the desk/email/dm of somebody who can do something with it. Somebody can become a new fan and help your voice be heard in a way you never expected. That is what happened with me in 2008. I put out a really silly sketch right before I went to Liberia to do public heath (not entertainment related) and that was the thing Issa saw back in 2008. She said “Oh, this girl is really funny.” Cut to 2015, she lets me know HBO picked up her show and (…) she thinks it would be a good idea for me to perform. That seed was sown back in 2008, when nobody was checking for me. You have to keep working and keep putting it out there. It makes you better. I put out stuff that I don’t know if anyone is going to watch but its helping me become a better editor. Whenever I create something I can say, “Nope I want that shot. Nope I need it to cut off right there.” because I’m practicing getting my thing so tight. Practice makes perfect.

How did you know your were funny?

I didn’t know I was funny! I found myself praying and I heard the Lord say, “Do comedy.” I said “No”, and he was like “What else you got?” I replied, “All these rhetorical questions Jesus, I don’t appreciate them.” But, he was right. I didn’t have anything else. It was at that moment I chose (…) to trust him and take him at his word. I had been reading my bible and the stories sound real nice but if you don’t put action towards them then they are just stories. After that, I wrote a five minute sketch about what’s funny growing up Nigerian in America. Before I knew it, people were laughing and asking me if I host weddings. (…) Because I was a clean comic, I would get asked to perform at churches. I didn’t even know comics were broke and the Lord knew I needed a really good entryway. If I found out how broke artist are, I would have been like “No, I have two parents that love me and goat meat at home, why would I live this other life!” I started making $500.00 for a three or five minute set at churches and I was like “I’m never going to med school.” I don’t know a doctor making $100.00 a minute. That gave me the gusto to feel like “Oh, I’m funny, I could be funny and I can get paid and make a living off this.”
