Dave East and Chris Brown join forces to put visuals behind Dave’s hit single, “Perfect.” The track is featured on the duo’s Paranoia: A True Story and it gets heavy rotation on the radio these days.

Now, the fellas bring the track to life in a new Arrad Rahgoshay directed video treatment. The Harlem native told Rap-Up the visuals paint a story where he’s fighting temptation from different women.

Rap legend Scarface stepped out to show love to other musical titans, Lauryn Hill and Nas. The duo brought their concert it to Sugar Land, TX and the Houston native came out to see them light up the stage.

Gabrielle Union shares a very intimate part of her life involving her multiple miscarriages. Read the heartbreaking details, plus check out Jennifer Hudson in Cosmopolitan inside…

Gabrielle Union is opening up about her life like she never has before in her upcoming book, We’re Going to Need More Wine.  Something her fans will learn, is that her decision to not have children hasn't necessarily been her decision...at least not since she's been re-married.  She does want children of her own with her husband.

In the book, the 44-year-old actress (who celebrates a birthday this month) talks about longing to have a child with her NBA hubby Dwyane Wade. But, it hasn’t been easy by any means.

The “Being Mary Jane” star has gone through several IVF cycles and has suffered approximately 9 heartbreaking miscarriages over three years. An excerpt from her book was released via PEOPLE and here’s what she wrote:

“I have had eight or nine miscarriages. For three years, my body has been a prisoner of trying to get pregnant — I’ve either been about to go into an IVF cycle, in the middle of an IVF cycle, or coming out of an IVF cycle.”

While the miscarriages were devastating, Gabby and D. Wade “remain bursting with love and ready to do anything to meet the child we’ve both dreamed of.”

Originally, Gabby didn’t want to have kids, especially with a budding acting career. But, after becoming a stepmom, she realized she wanted one of her own.

“I never wanted kids,” she told the magazine. “Then I became a stepmom, and there was no place I’d rather be than with them.”

“For so many women, and not just women in the spotlight, people feel very entitled to know, ‘Do you want kids?'” she continued. “A lot of people, especially people that have fertility issues, just say ‘no’ because that’s a lot easier than being honest about whatever is actually going on. People mean so well, but they have no idea the harm or frustration it can cause.”

Here's to hoping that Gabby can one day have her dream come true.

When it comes to speaking out against racial injustices, Zendaya has never been one to shy away. Even before she became the mega YBF actress that she is now.

Gracing the cover of GLAMOUR magazine’s November 2017 issue, the 21-year-old actress sat down with fellow YBF actress Yara Shahidi for a #BlackGirlMagic interview.

The “woke” superstar revealed when she first signed on to act on the Disney Channel, she was behind-the-scenes making demands for all the little girls who don’t see themselves represented on television. She championed for an all black family to star on the series and they made it happen.

The “K.C. Undercover” star explained to Yara:

“I didn’t feel like there was any other choice. I was like, ‘If I’m going to do this, this is how it has to be.’ There needs to be a black family on the Disney Channel. A lot of people who aren’t people of color can’t quite understand what it’s like to grow up and not see yourself in mainstream media. And you know, there is so much work left to be done. I’ve talked about this before, but can I honestly say I would be in the position I’m in if I weren’t a lighter-skinned black woman? No.”

Yes, Daya has been fighting the good fight even before she made it big.

Oh, and there’s more.

Disney execs originally had planned to title Daya’s show “Super Awesome Katy,” but she was SO not with it. She told them the titled was “wack” and popped off about her character’s name, asking,“Do I look like a Katy to you?” Bloop! They changed the character’s name to K.C. after that.

Growing up with both of her parents as teachers, it’s no surprise seeing the young star advocate for technology in schools. She spoke about the lack of technology in schools while promoting a new documentary titled, “Without A Net,” which explores tech in schools.

There’s talk about Kandi and her husband Todd Tucker’s Old Lady Gang restaurant and its not good.

There were reports that Kandi and Todd’s Old Lady Gang restaurant received a “C” rating from the Georgia Department of Public Health for health code violations on August 24th.

But it didn’t take her long to whip things back in shape. Three days later, the restaurant received an “A” rating. And she has receipts:

Kandi spoke with LoveBScott and here’s what she had to say about it all:

“Our score is an A. Yes, it was a C for like three days, but for minor things like, someone in the kitchen didn’t have their hair net on — or we ran out of paper towels by the sink. We immediately corrected those things and our score returned to an A.

My thing is this — I can’t believe the one thing people choose to overlook is the fact that our score IS an A.

We love our customers. We do whatever we can to make sure they have an amazing experience. When it comes to cleanliness, we’re more than on top of things. The only complaint I’ve ever received from customers about OLG is the fact there’s a long ass wait!”

There are rumors swirling around the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast’s trip to Spain. Was Kenya Moore not invited? Did Porsha Williams leave or did producers snatch her invitation from her? Oh, and Eva Marcille is joining the ladies this season. More inside…

Before season 10 of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” kicks off next month, there are still a few things up in the air about what viewers can expect.

Word on the curb is that producers decided NOT to invite Kenya Moore on the girls’ trip to Barcelona. Production sources tell TMZ the former Miss America shot scenes insinuating she would be attending the trip, but producers allegedly snatched her invite.

Our sources say Bravo told Kenya she needed to film scenes leading up to the trip with hubby Marc Daly, but he wasn't down. Producers felt she was just making more excuses for Marc's lack of participation, so the invite got yanked.

'Housewives' get paid per episode, and now Kenya will miss out on some big paychecks.

Yikes. There were even rumors that she got fired, but she addressed those and said she's still on the show.  Kim Zolciak made it clear today that she hopes she quit the show.  She said on "Extra":

“I don’t know Kenya enough to care or ever have a relationship.” Of the rumors that Kenya is leaving the show, Kim said, “I can only hope that Kenya quits the show… Let’s just hope Kenya quits the show.”

This sounds a lot like the rumors about production allegedly giving the newlywed an ultimatum to either shoots scenes with her new husband Marc Daly or get the boot.

Then there's this...

There were rumors that “RHOA” producers asked Porsha Williams to LEAVE after she allegedly got into some type of altercation with friend-to-the-show Marlo Hampton.

However, Porsha is singing a different tune. She hopped on Instagram to sort of clear up the rumors, saying she left instead of being asked to leave. Check it:

Either way, she was only there for part of the trip it seems.

“Top Model” alum Eva Marcille will be returning to television. She’ll be joining the ladies on “RHOA” for the 10th season, set to premiere November 5th on BRAVO.

The 32-year-old mom expressed her excitement about joining the cast telling Us Weekly, "I'm so excited to join NeNe [Leakes] and the ladies for the 10th season of RHOA. Atlanta and America, get ready!"

She’s not getting an official peach, but she’ll serve as a friend of the show.

We wonder if she’ll bring her daughter Marley Rae and her Atlanta politician boyfriend Michael Sterling on the show.

Oh, Cam. Why must you make this so hard? Find out why folks are calling the Panthers QB SEXIST after comments made to a female reporter inside…

Y’all know we love some Cam Newton around these parts. But, the Carolina Panthers QB continues to make it hard for us to just lust after him, especially when he makes comments like he did in a recent press conference.

Jourdan Rodrigue, a Charlotte Observer beat reporter, asked Cam about wide receiver Devin Funchess running routes and how he felt about it. Cam’s response was sexist AF.

“It’s funny to hear a female talk about routes, like, it’s funny,” he responded. And then he chuckled a bit after he said it.

*straight face*

She's not just a reporter, but she's a SPORTS reporter.  She literally talks about sporty things, including routes, for a living.  We fail to see what was so comical about her question.

Cam should have known folks, especially white feminists, would drag his ass for filth.

What’s funny about a woman talking about football? There are several female reporters who cover football every single day. We're actually surprised this even came out of his mouth being that he's very calculated about what he says and never wants to step on anyone's toes. 

But, there is always that interview where he said he didn't think racism was an issue when it came to his mistreatment as a black Quarterback.

After the conference, Jourdan hopped on Twitter to air out her frustrations that came from the NFLer’s comments. She tweeted:

I don't think it's "funny" to be a female and talk about routes. I think it's my job.

I spoke with him after and it was worse. I chose not to share, because I have an actual job to do today and one he will not keep me from.

Panthers director of communications Steven Drummond claims he spoke with Cam and Jourdan and that Cam apologized, but she is saying the opposite.

"This afternoon, I did my job as an NFL beat writer and asked Cam Newton a question about one of his receivers," Jourdan explained. I was dismayed by his response, which not only belittled me but countless other women before me and beside me who work in similar jobs. I sought Mr. Newton out as he left the locker room a few minutes later. He did not apologize for his comments."

Former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White came to Cam's defense on social media.  Shocking (not!).  Men tend to stick together when it comes to matters of sexism.

So far, Cam has yet to apologize.  The comment, at best, was condescending.  And when you're in a position of leadership and put on a pedestal as spokesperson in many brand arenas, you're held to an even higher standard.  He's big on setting examples for kids, and this is NOT a good example to set. Comments like this are completely unnecessary and, quite frankly, beneath him. 

the fact Cam nor Roddy see the blaring issue with the comment, made at a public press conference, reeks of privilege.  There's this tendency for many men not to recognize their male privilege, similar to how whites have a tendency to not recognize their white privilege.

Nick Cannon (pictured above yesterday heading out of "TRL") did a comedy show at Georgian Court University and while the students thought it was great, the administration didn’t.

The “Wild N Out” host did a comedy set at The Strand theater during the Catholic university's reunion and homecoming weekend. Lordt. Apparently, his stance on social issues touched a nerve with the school’s administration, saying his performance “crossed the line” and was “offensive. “

University President Joseph R. Marbach issued a letter of his disapproval to the staff and students. Someone sent the letter to Nick and he posted it on Twitter, with a response. Here’s what he had to say:

Idris Elba got under everyone’s radar when he first starred in the hit HBO series “The Wire” as Stringer Bell fifteen years ago. Now, he’s a bonafide Hollywood titan.

The British actor played an American man in the series and has starred in several American roles since he burst onto the scene. He played the part so well, a lot of people didn’t even know he was British.

Well, he stopped by “The View” during his press tour for his upcoming film, The Mountain Between Us, where he revealed he perfected his American accent in the barbershop. Genius.

“I used to go to the babrshop to perfect my accent,” he said. “If you want to talk about the basketball game in an English accent, it doesn’t come off as good.”

Facts.

The British hottie also talked about growing up in London but staying true to his West African culture, his off jobs before he became an actor, working in the frigid weather for The Mountain Between Us and more. Peep his full interview below:

Former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder will have his life and work come to life in a brand new CBS series titled, “Main Justice.”  We're here for this.

Mr. Holder as teamed up with famed producer Jerry Bruckheimer for the legal series inspired by him. The script is being written by Sascha Penn (“Survivor’s Remorse”) and executive produced by Holder and Bruckheimer.

Deadline gives us a synopsis of the new series:

Centered around the U.S. Attorney General, the show takes us into the tumultuous world of the 5th floor of the Department of Justice where he takes on the biggest legal and investigative cases in the country all while being the youngest person to ever hold such an esteemed position.

We wonder how close the series will mirror his life being that he’s the first African-American to become the Attorney General of the United States after he was appointed by President Barack Obama in 2009.

Late American graffiti artist Jean-Michel Basquiat will have his life before fame told in a documentary titled, Boom for Real: The Late Teenage Years of Jean-Michel Basquiat. The Sara Driver documentary debuted at the Toronto Film Festival and now it will hit movie theaters in 2018.

According to Deadline:

The docu follows Basquiat’s life pre-fame and how New York City, the times, the people and the movements surrounding him formed the artist he became. It includes never before seen works, writings and photographs, and offers insight from the likes of Nan Goldin, Jim Jarmusch, James Nares, Fred Brathwaite (aka Fab Five Freddy), Lee Quiñones, Luc Sante and others to tell the story of Basquiat and his downtown New York — before AIDS, President Reagan, and the real estate and art booms.

Jean-Michel Basquiat died at the age of 27 in August 1988 after a heroin overdose in his art studio in Manhattan's NoHo neighborhood.

In case you missed, “black-ish” aired its BLACKEST episode yet, Solange stunned in NYC and Swizz Beatz launched his new clothing collection with his wife Alicia Keys. Get it all inside…

When ABC was doing promo for the season 4 premiere of “black-ish,” they refused to show any clips from the episode because they said it was THAT good. Well, they weren’t lying.

The premiere episode of “black-ish” season 4 was the BLACKEST, and we mean the blackest television episode we’ve seen. Ever.

The show has always been black, but this episode was super black.   It explored Juneteenth (the end of slavery) while hilariously educating the masses. It was definitely one of those episodes that would make SOME uncomfortable, but it was MUCH needed and appreciated.

In the episode, the Johnson Family attends a school play for the younger children (Diane and Jack) at their elementary school. It was a play about Christopher Columbus “discovering” America. As expected, dad Dre had an issue with it his children participating and stops the production.

“I can’t believe you would honor a slavetrader like Columbus and not celebrate Juneteenth,” Dre said.

Dre felt like there weren’t enough black holidays, so he teamed up with Aloe Blacc to create a musical about Juneteenth.

The episode featured the Johnson Family dressed as slaves educating the masses on what slaves built and there was even Hamilton-inspired set. There’s also a School House Rock-style animated song by The Roots.

“black-ish” creator Kenya Barris chopped it up with Entertainment Weekly about the premiere episode where they asked how did this episode even get approved for television. Here’s what he said:

“It’s interesting. It’s one of those things that people are going to love or hate. I feel like one of the interesting things to me is the notion that it makes people uncomfortable is the ironic thing. Yeah, the episode talks about how talking about slavery makes white people uncomfortable, I get that. At the same time, it’s not indicting of anything contemporary. It really is more indicting, if anything, of black culture and being afraid of making of other people uncomfortable, and thus disregarding our own past. I think that was sort of the pitch to the network. But I do think it’s a swing that I’m really proud of.”

A woman is accusing Nelly of raping her on his tour bus. And he was arrested this morning. Deets and receipts inside…

Nelly (real name Cornell Iral Haynes, Jr.) was arrested in Auburn, Washington this morning after a woman went to police with accusations that he raped her on his tour bus.

According to reports, the woman claims she met up with the “Country Grammar” rapper, who’s currently on tour with pop duo Florida Georgia Line, on his tour bus ahead on his performance in Ridgefield, Washington tonight.

The unidentified woman specifically pointed out Nelly as the person who raped her and said the alleged act went down Saturday morning around 3:45AM.

Apparently, there was probable cause, so he was booked on second-degree charges and was brought into custody around 7:00AM.

Nelly should just stay off tour buses. In 2015, he was arrested on felony drug charges when police pulled his tour bus over and allegedly found marijuana and MDMA. He lucked up in that situation where he didn't have to do any jail time since he had a clean criminal record.

By the way, Nelly's girlfriend Shantel Jackson is starring in E!'s upcoming show, "The Platinum Life," set to premiere next week. The time of this "story" seems a bit suspect. Thoughts?

Issa Rae, Yvonne Orji, Donald Glover, Brian Tyree Henry, Lil Rel, Janelle Monae, Jidenna, Amandla Stenberg, Luke James, Tessa Thompson,Mack Wilds and more enjoyed a fun night together for a kickback in Atlanta where they ate lemon pepper wings, pizza and sipped on some bubbly. Oh, and there were several dance offs that went down as well.

Jackson, who plays Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, shared two photos from the event. [In one photo it shows] Jackson with Anthony Mackie, who plays the Falcon, and Laurence Fishburne, who will debut as Bill Foster, known as the hero Goliath in the Marvel Universe, in Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Nelly is a free man after he was arrested on rape allegations and he’s speaking out. Find out all he said inside…

Rapper Nelly has been released from jail after a woman accused him of raping her on his tour bus. And now, he’s speaking out about the situation.

In a series of tweets, the “Country Grammar” rapper claims he’s completely innocent and that HE is the victim. The 42-year-old entertainer (above performing in Auburn before the alleged incident) said he’s confident he’ll exonerated once all of the facts are in. He even apologized to his loved one, including his girlfriend Shantel Jackson, for putting himself in an embarrassing situation where he could be victimized.

Nelly also made it clear that he wasn’t brought up on any charges and a bail was never issued for his release.

Feels like déjà vu.

Another big company creating an ad that’s racially insensitive and another weak “a**” apology. Anyone else tired of this ish?

This time, it was Dove who tried it. Apparently, the company put up an ad on Facebook where a black woman in a brown shirt is seen pulling her shirt over her head and magically transforms into a white woman in a white shirt. After the white woman appears, she takes her shirt off and a third woman appears.

Colin Kaepernick has finally addressed those ridiculous rumors that said he would stand for the national anthem if given another chance in the NFL. See what he said, plus how 49ers player Eric Reid is reacting to Vice President Mike Pence staged game walk out inside….

Over the weekend, it was reported by a CBS reporter that Colin Kaepernick would STAND for the national anthem. But, that was FAR from the truth.

Before Colin could speak on the issue, the reporter came back to retract his article, claiming he didn’t discuss the issue with Colin when they spoke.

Reporter Jason La Canfora issued a series of tweets clearing up what he meant, saying he was replaying previous reports about Kaepernick. Whatever. The story still came out and it was absolutely false. Sounds like someone was looking for their 15 minutes of fame.

The former San Francisco QB took to his Twitter to address the rumors, but in a subliminal tweet. It’s pretty obvious what he’s referring to, using a quote from Winston S. Churchill:

Vice President Mike Pence decided he would attend the Indianapolis Colts VS. San Francisco 49ers game yesterday. Then, he was “outraged” that NFL players took a knee during the national anthem and left the game. So, he didn’t know this was going to happen? After the game, 49ers safety Eric Reid reacted to VP Pence leaving the stadium after players kneeled during the anthem, dubbing it a “PR stunt.” And we’d have to agree.

"He knew our team has had the most players protest. He knew that we were probably going to do it again," Reid said, according to a video from Jennifer Lee Chan, a reporter for NinersNation.com. "This is what systemic oppression looks like. A man with power comes to the game, tweets a couple of things out and leaves the game with an attempt to thwart our efforts."
