We’re getting close to the premiere of the 2nd season of the hit NBC series “This Is Us.” And to hold us over until the new season premieres on September 26th, we’ve got the first look at the new season. Of course, it’s emotional as hell.

In the new sneak peek, we see Randall (played by Sterling K. Brown) questioning his mother Rebecca (played by Many Moore) about how she and her husband Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) decided to adopt him after he was left in front of a fire station.

Rebecca opens up and tells what really happened the day they lost one of their triplets and decided to bring baby Randall home. Initially, Rebecca was against adoption, but Jack insisted that baby Randall should be a part of their family.

The 2nd season will also explain (finally!) how Jack died and Sylvester Stallone will also appear in a guest-starring role.

Be sure to make a stop at the store and rack up on boxes of tissues. “This Is Us” returns September 26th at 9pm EST on NBC.

In movie news...

Another one! Issa Rae has signed on to star in the upcoming Black Lives Matter-inspired movie, The Hate U Give. The drama is an adaptation of Angela Thomas’ debut YA novel, which was inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement.

The “Insecure” star will be joining Amandla Stenberg, Regina Hall, Common, Algee Smith, Russell Hornsby and Lamar Johnson.

The story follows a 16-year-old girl named Starr (Amandla Stenberg) who grew up in a poverty-stricken slum, but now attends a suburban prep school. After she witnesses a police officer shoot her unarmed best friend, she's torn between her two very different worlds as she tries to speak her truth.

According to Variety, Issa will play April, the activist that helps Stenberg’s character find her voice and speak up.

Algee will play Starr’s friend, Khalil, Regina Hall will play Starr’s mother, Russell Hornsby will star as Starr's father and Lamar Johnson will play Seven, Starr's older brother.

It’s interesting to note, a bidding war ensued after Angela’s book, The Hate U Give, started making its rounds. FOX 2000, Temple Hill and State Street landed the rights to the film after battling with several studios and production companies.

Chyna's attorney Lisa Bloom is addressing rumors about Chy and her ex-fiance's Rob Kardashian's "custody war." It was reported that Dream Kardashian's parents were scheduled to hash out their issues in a custody hearing next month, but Lisa Bloom said that's not the case. She told E! News:

"There are many false statements in this article, which I told TMZ, but they published it anyway. I was present and witnessed the entire non-event."

Fergie’s solo sophomore album is coming on the heels of new that she’s no longer a member of the Black Eyed Peas. Her new album Double Dutchess is expected to drop September 22nd.

The Dutchess is tapping more so in the Hip Hop realm based on these two newly released tracks, one featuring Rick Ross and the other Nicki Minaj.

On the Yonni and JP Did This- produced track “Hungry,” featuring Rick Ross, Fergie taps into her inner rapper and spits a few bars in the cinematic clip. It’s directed by Brazilian artist Bruno Ilogti and features some wild lighting and dance moves.

Cleveland Cavaliers baller J.R. Smith is sick and tired of athletes speaking negatively about their peers in the media. And he’s not afraid to call them out on it.

First, he aired out his frustrations in a video on UNINTERRUPTED where he discussed people criticizing Colin Kaepernick for kneeling during the national anthem.

"We supposed to be all in the same boat," he said."Everybody come from their own struggles and their own situation. Everybody trying to prosper and do better in life. We don't need to drag one another down. That's corny to me."

LeBron James knows how it feels to have his jersey burned, so we’re not surprised he feels empathy for another NBA star who’s currently going through the same thing.

The four-time NBA MVP took to Twitter to defend his new teammate Isaiah Thomas. In a big blockbuster deal, Isaiah was traded to the Cavaliers and Kyrie Irving was traded to the Boston Celtics. Celtics fans have been burning Isaiah’s jerseys in response to the trade. Well, King James has something to say about it.

Tyler Perry reveals why he's taking care of the man who abused him as child. Meanwhile, a white woman in a viral video is explaining why she had to "lay hands" on a racist white woman. Get it all inside...

It takes a strong person to forgive someone who abused them in the past. It takes an even stronger person to take care of their abuser.

A man Tyler Perry thought was his father abused him as a child. Now, the famed filmmaker is taking care of the man who brought so much turmoil to his life.

During a recent episode of “Oprah’s Master Class,” Tyler gets candid about his life where he revealed he financially supports the man who physically and verbally abused him as a child.

“Number 1, my mother asked me to because she loved him,” Tyler shared. “And secondly, as terrible as he was, and as horrible as he was, he never once left us. We were never hungry. And every time he’d go to work, all week, he’d bring all the money home.”

While he’s financially supporting Perry Sr., he explained they don’t have a relationship. And never will.

“I’m giving him what he gave to me," he explained. "I had shelter, I had food. He has shelter, pretty nice shelter, and any food that he wants to eat. What I missed from him, being in a relationship, is also what he’s missing from me now. So, he doesn’t have everything. He has what’s easy.”

Don't start none, won't be none.  This white racist woman found out the hard way.

The woman in the teal dress got her a** whopped after mouthing off racial slurs toward a Haitian security guard inside a La Quinta hotel in Coral Springs, FL.

The woman in the teal dress Is 39-year-old Summer Cortts and she has been charged with disorderly conduct and inciting an affray (fight) after she got HER behind handed to her.

23-year-old Colleen Dagg witnessed Summer berating the security guard, so she stepped in. Their verbal argument turned physical when Summer got in Colleen’s face and hit her. All hell broke loose after that. Colleen laid them paws on her while hotel employees watched before breaking it up. Peep the clip above.

After the beat down went viral on social media, Colleen has been dubbed “Becky Knuckles.” Ha! She took to her Twitter and explained why she went total bad a** on Summer:

Now, you can pick up pieces from her line in the mall. She just debuted her She by Sheree line at Nordstrom and is offering up exclusive, limited-edition creations for men and women.

Of course, she’s selling t-shirts with her infamous sound bite, “Who Gone Check Me Boo,” alongside designs by other cultural icons including Muhammed Ali, Coca-Cola, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Prince and Michael Jackson in the Pop-In@Nordstrom x Hanes store.

“I’m super excited to finally be able to share this milestone and Nordstrom collaboration with fans!," Sheree said in a press release. "Extremely grateful to Nordstrom and VP of Creative Projects Olivia Kim for curating this amazing opportunity putting She by Sheree’ front and center at Nordstrom.”

Dave Chappelle is happy as hell these days. He just celebrated his 44th birthday, this year marks his 30th year in showbiz, AND he just recently wrapped up his “Dave Chappelle: Live From Radio City” residency that concluded on his actual birthday (August 24th).

To celebrate, a star-studded crowd gathered to celebrate the one and only Dave Chappelle at TAO Uptown for an unforgettable evening presented by Tanqueray Number TEN. As Dave was presented with his custom Tanqueray birthday cake, he was joined on stage by his wife, Elaine. He professed his love for her, calling her the love of his life. Aww!

Chokwe Antar Lumumba proves if at first you don’t succeed, you'll still get yours if you keep trying. He just made history as the youngest mayor elected in Jackson, Mississippi. More inside…..

Here’s a testament to not giving up. Things don’t always go the way you planned the first go around, but sometimes when you give it another try, your heart’s desires can come into fruition.

Chokwe Antar Lumumba became the youngest (and quite possibly the hottest, TBH) mayor in the history of Jackson, Mississippi after being sworn in at the Jackson’s Convention Center Complex last month. #RealLifeYBF

The 34-year-old beat incumbent Mayor Tony Yarber after losing to him in a special election in 2014. It was a tough loss - Chokwe’s father left the mayor seat vacant after he passed away after serving less than a year in office.

By the way, that’s his beautiful wife Ebony Lumumba looking on as Court of Appeals Judge Latrice Westbrooks administered the oath of office. Come thru black love!

During the swearing in, the new mayor became overcome with emotion speaking about his late father, standing in the same place his father did when he was sworn in as mayor years before.

“A son only holds his father’s hand for a short while, but he holds his heart forever,” he said. “I can’t help, but to be emotional today.”

Aww! Such a full circle moment.

As devastating as it was that he did not get that seat in 2014, he said it was a blessing in disguise.

“I’m actually grateful that we lost the election in 2014, not because the sincerity was not there, not because we didn’t believe we would have done a good job, but, we’ve been able to appreciate far more what’s going on with the city of Jackson, and I’ve been able to appreciate more within myself,” Lumumba shared during an interview with “Democracy Now!”

He continued, “People have to remember, in 2014, not only did I bury my father in a two-month time span and then enter into an election, my wife was pregnant with our first child. And so there was a world of change. You had a first-time candidate, who had not run for junior class president, much less mayor of a city. And so, we’ve been able to, you know, gather more information and position ourselves better.”

Good for him.

You would think they were besties if you only saw their post-fight press conference. That wasn't the case during last night's fight though where Floyd Mayweather and Connor McGregor literally threw all the punches to get a TKO ending. Find out how celebs are going nuts inside...

IssaTKO!  Floyd Mayweather officially nabbed his 50-0 record when the ref called the match in the 10th round last night during the fight of the year....possibly the decade thanks to all the hype.

Irish MMA fighter Connor McGregor proved to be more of a bonafide opponent than most folks thought, but he ran out of steam toward the 10th round.  And it was a wrap.

McGregor may have landed a punch...maybe two.  The quick on his feet Mayweather dodged most punches and definitely landed a few of his own (you could see Connor's black eye at his fight after party).

At the post-fight press conference, they exchanged niceties after berating each other for months.

Floyd said, "McGregor is a lot better than I thought he’d be."

Floyd also confirmed he's retiring on his perfect 50-0 record: "This was my last fight, for sure. I chose the right dance partner."

By the way, can we discuss Floyd's head to toe custom Philipp Plein pre-fight and walk out looks?

Everyone who’s anyone was in Las Vegas last night to see Floyd Mayweather TKO Connor McGregor making him the undefeated champ (50-0).

When we say everyone was in the mix, we mean EVERYONE.

One of our fave couples pulled up on the pink carpet looking like royalty. Four-time NBA MVP LeBron James escorted his wife Savannah James inside the T-Mobile Arena and they both were dressed to kill.

As he made his rounds, the Cleveland Cavaliers baller linked up with Diddy, his son Christian Combs and rapper Nas for a photo-op.

It was a special day for Cassie. The singer/model celebrated her 31st birthday yesterday. Before they went to the fight, the Hip Hop mogul surprised her with a birthday cake while singing Happy Birthday to her.

31 looks great on Cass.

Yes GAWDT. Nas is so damn fine. The Queensbridge rapper posted up on the carpet at the VIP pre-fight party inside the T-Mobile Arena before nabbing a seat next to Diddy to watch the fight go down.

Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman was in the mix for the fight festivities. 

Comedians Jamie Foxx, Steve Harvey, and Cedric The Entertainer were sprinkled throughout the arena, likely cracking jokes and making people laugh.

Another day, another f*** boi story.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell is out in these streets doing the absolute most. The NFLer allegedly got another woman pregnant while he was engaged to a woman named Mercedes Dollson. The other woman is allegedly a former RAMS cheerleader named Cherise.

For the last four years, Le’Veon and Mercedes (above, with their daughter) have been in a relationship and they welcomed their daughter in January 2017. There has been talk that Le’Veon keeps a new chick around, but now it’s rumored he may have impregnated one of them.

Word on the curb is that Cherise recently gave birth to a son that is believed to be Le’Veon’s. They allegedly hooked up back in November when Cherise flew out to Pittsburgh. Oh, and it gets worse. It’s alleged that he and Cherise had sex in the home he shared with his former fiancée while she was visiting family in California. Whet?! Chile…

And get this. If you look at the timelines of when these babies were born, it means he got Cherise pregnant while Mercedes was about 7-8 months pregnant. Gross.

Not only that, another woman came forward saying she was messing around with Le’Veon around the same time and he allegedly told her that Mercedes was only living with him to watch his dogs. He also supposedly denied his daughter. We can’t.
