RISE UP!

The city of Atlanta was beyond TURNT yesterday after the Falcons DOMINATED the Green Bay Packers, 44-21, in the NFC Championship. Yep, the Falcons are SUPER BOWL BOUND. And if they take it all the way, it'll be their first Super Bowl win...ever.

The Falcons kept the lead the entire game and at one point, were leading the Packers by 30 points. So, you can imagine what the energy was like in the Georgia Dome yesterday. Not to mention, this was the final game to be played in the Dome before its demolished and turned into a parking lot for the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium that’s currently under construction.

Falcons lovers Ludacris and Jermaine Dupri were tapped to put on for their city during halftime. And that they did. The duo hit the stage to perform their classic track “Welcome To Atlanta”.  Guess we're going to get this performance every other day until the Superbowl, y'all know how lit and proud ATL folks are.

R&B crooner and Falcons lover Usher was in the mix, just like he was last week. He was spotted on the field snapping it up with “GMA” anchor Michael Strahan, his ex-wife Tameka Foster’s son Ryan Glover (in the middle next to Michael) and Ryan Glover Sr. (next to Usher).

Atlanta Hawks center Dwight Howard got a day off from the basketball court, so he made sure to turn out for the football fun.

By the way, Dwight and the Hawks will hit the court against the L.A. Clippers tonight at 7:30pm EST inside Philips Arena.

Bow Wow (aka Shad Moss) got the celebration going with Usher, Da Brat, Jermaine and the homies.

DJ Infamous was also in the mix, hitting the field with Bow Wow and Jermaine Dupri.

Engaged couple Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka'oir (aka The Wopsters) came out for the football fun. They'll be bopping down the aisle in October to say their "I Dos."

And Hollywood veteran Samuel L. Jackson decked out in his Falcons jersey was also in the stands.

Noticeably missing from the festivities: Self-proclaimed Falcon fan Future.  He surely made it to games when they played the Seahawks though.  And yes, he was in town.

It’s always a good time to give back to those less fortunate. Especially when its a nor'easter going down like in NYC.

On Saturday, the LOX rapper rolled up to Penn Station with hundreds of bags of clothes and food to pass out to those in need. Jadakiss got right to work, grabbing bags off the truck and going through each bag to hand out items to those waiting for a blessing.

While Jada was in the giving spirit, he can’t take all of the credit. He gave a shoutout to his niece Chas (above) for organizing the event. He wrote on Instagram, “The Genius behind the whole movement! My niece "Chas " 3rd year strong !#filthyamerica (it's beautiful) so is she'”

On Saturday, while millions of women (and men) gathered to protest Donald Trump becoming president, gospel singer Vicki Yohe decided to show her full support of the new president. FYI -- If you don’t know who Vicki is, she sings “Because Of Who You Are” and she has a strong following of black Christians.

Anyhoo, Vicki posted a picture of a “white Jesus” carrying some suitcases with the caption, “On my way back to the White House.” She captioned the picture, “March all you want, protest all you want, President DONALD J. TRUMP is our President for at least four years, no weapon formed against him will prosper! You know you are doing something right when there is so much opposition!!! #excitingtimes.”

White gospel singer Paula White is no different. She too has a huge black following, but is a strong Trump supporter. In fact, she’s his spiritual adviser and has been for the last 15 years.

During the presidential inauguration on Friday, Paula White was invited to lead everyone in prayer for the invocation. NPR got the chance to chat with her after the ceremony, and here’s some of what she had to say about Trump:

MARTIN: Can we talk about why some people are surprised about your connection to President Trump? I mean, you have a large multicultural following. For example, you've been a keynote speaker for years at MegaFest, which, for people who don't know, it's a very large spiritual gathering led by the well-known African-American preacher, author T.D. Jakes. I'm sure you know that many people have felt that Donald Trump has made demeaning and even racist remarks about people of color for years now, not to mention questioning former President Obama's birthplace for years. And I'm wondering if you've ever talked to him about these remarks and how your congregants feel about those remarks.

WHITE: Well, first off, I've had the opportunity to know him for 15 years. And so knowing him on a private level, I know that there is not racism or prejudice in him. You can ask President Trump that question directly. But from my experience, it's...

MARTIN: Well, his questioning President Obama's birthplace was not something that was secret, nor that - was that a media invention. And many people experienced that as his questioning his legitimacy as president and as racist.

WHITE: No, I understand many people's hurt and many people's position on things. And I do understand that. I think that that is a great question to ask him about.

MARTIN: Can I ask you also about another sensitive issue, which is you've talked openly about being a survivor of sexual assault. And by now, of course, most people know about that "Access Hollywood" tape where then-candidate Trump bragged about grabbing women by their private parts. And I wondered how that struck you, and if you ever had occasion to talk to him about that, and what you think all that means.

WHITE: Absolutely. Immediately I talked to him; when I say immediately, probably within the first few hours of that release or sooner. He was very contrite, very embarrassed. And again, knowing the person, when he said, I am a changed man, I believe, and - or a better man - and I can say that over 15 years I've watched a man grow and I've watched a man change. And I think he - it's something that he took responsibility and ownership for and something that he was deeply bothered by.

A changed man? Where?  We'll wait....

Nothing really new here.

Rapper Future was spotted hitting the party scene in Atlanta over the weekend. And he wasn’t alone. He brought his son Prince’s mom Brittni Mealy along with him to Compound to turn up.

Seeing these two together isn’t much of a shocker as Future always seems to “come back” to her. You’ll recall he “reunited” with her shortly after calling it quits with Ciara. There were rumors CiCi called off the engagement because he allegedly cheated on her. It's not totally clear who he was cheating with, but yeah you catch our drift.

Maybe he was celebrating Ciara dropping her $15 million defamation suit.

Comedian Aziz Ansari ruffled some feathers after his appearance on “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend.

The “Bob’s Burgers” star dedicated his opening monologue to how America is adjusting to Donald Trump becoming president. He compared people liking/voting for Trump to the way people still listen to Chris Brown’s music (given his legal/personal issues).

He said:

“Hey, man! I’m just here for the tunes. I’m just here for the tunes! I don’t know about that other stuff. I just like the dancing and the music. I don’t condone the extracurriculars.”

Then, he joked, "If you think about it, Donald Trump is basically the Chris Brown of politics. And ‘Make America Great Again’ is his ‘These hoes ain’t loyal.’”

In rappers who went too hard news...

All that Instagram flexin’ with guns could land Soulja Boy behind bars…for YEARS.

Last month, the police raided Soulja’s house and found guns inside that led up to his arrest for felony possession of an assault weapon. He ended up being released on a $35,000 bail. But, it appears Soulja has picked up more charges.

According to TMZ, the L.A. County D.A. hit him with TWO felonies – possession of an assault weapon AND being a felon in possession of a firearm. He landed the assault weapon charge for having a Mini Draco AR-15. Needless to say, it’s illegal to have that type of weapon in California.

The “Crank That” rapper, who’s gearing up for a boxing match with Chris Brown, also copped a misdemeanor charge for allegedly receiving stolen property. Cops claim one of the guns found in the rapper’s home was reportedly stolen from a cop’s car.

Soulja will have his day in court and if he’s convicted, he’s facing nearly four years in jail. Damn homie.

Maybe he'll get that street cred he's been longing for after all.

There are new developments in Blac Chyna’s pursuit of officially becoming a “Kardashian” after filing legal documents to use the surname for entertainment purposes.

According to the Daily Mail, Chyna was served with a notice of default from the Patent and Trademark Office on January 20th to let her know that she doesn’t have much time left to bust a move.

You’ll recall, the Kardashians tried to block her from trademarking the name Angela Renee Kardashian in fear that it would tarnish their brand. The notice said that since she did not file a response to the Kardashians, she has 30 days to do so or a judgment will be entered on behalf of the Kardashians by default.

After the news broke that the Kardashians were trying to block Chyna from using the Kardashian name, Kris Jenner and their lawyers came out to say it was a huge mix up and that their lawyers automatically oppose anyone who tries to use the name.

Well, 30 days from the 20th haven’t gone by yet, so she could still file to respond.

The soon-to-be Mrs. Kardashian is looking to get back down to her original weight of 130 pounds. She credited breast feeding and breast pumping for how she lost the LBs so quickly.

She filed for divorce from Dot Da Genius last August, citing irreconcilable differences. While that marriage has gone down the drain, Jhene said she’s open to getting married again.

While La La Land is getting most of the publicity today due to tying for the most number of Academy Award nominations ever, 14, black actors also came out on top nabbing a record 6 nominations! Black talent was nominated in other categories as well.

Most YBF nominees this year are first timers, and three out of the five Best Actress nominees are also YBF chicks.  Get it!

Fab chick Ava Duvernay nabbed her first Oscar nomination.  Her 13th documentary nabbed the Best Documentary category, as did fellow black filmmakers Raoul Peck's I Am Not Your Negro and Ezra Edelman's "OJ: Made In America."  By the way, Ezra's father is well-known Georgetown Law professor and Harvard Law grad Peter Edelman. His mother is well known activist, Spelman grad, Yale law grad and founder and president of the Children's Defense Fund (CDF)Marian Wright Edelman.  She is the first black woman ever admitted to the Mississippi state Bar.  #BlackExcellence

Naomie Harris of Moonlight nabbed her first Oscar nod.  She's facing off against two time Oscar nominee Viola Davis (Fences) and Oscar winner Octavia Spencer (Hidden Figures) in the Best Supporting Actress category. 

Ruth Negga is a first time nominee for her starring role in Loving.  The Ethiopian-Irish YBF chick is facing some stiff competition in the Best Actress category.  Natalie Portman (Jackie), Meryl Streep who just nabbed her 20th nomination for Florence Foster Jenkins, Emma Stone (La La Land) and Isabelle Huppert (Elle).

Taraji P. Henson was snubbed in the Best Actress category, and seems to have been snubbed for her Hidden Figures role all awards season.  Interesting.

Mahershala Ali nabbed his first Oscar nod for his role in Moonlight!  He's set to battle it out in the Best Supporting Actor category, while Oscar winner Denzel Washington (Fences) was nominated for Best Actor.

And there's one interesting category we're also keeping our eye on this year: Best Cinematography.  New York native Bradford Young just became the first black nominee in the category as head cinematographer for Arrival.  Congrats!

The Best Picture competition is extra stiff: “La La Land”, “Moonlight”, “Fences” (four), and “Hidden Figures” (three) are battling it out against “Arrival,”  “Hell or High Water”; the subtitled tear-jerker “Lion”; “Manchester by the Sea,” and “Hacksaw Ridge.”

Y'all must have talked little Ella out of mommy's womb right on time, because just a week after our IG and Twitter followers went nuts over the fact Keshia Knight Pulliam's was still pregnant in the latest pic we posted on social media, the actress just gave birth.

Keshia shared the news with her fans last night and even gave a sneak peek at her new little bundle of joy.

As you know, Keshia's ex-husband Ed Hartwell made a petty claim that Ella may not be his.  Hmph.  He hasn't yet commented on the birth.  As messy as this divorce has been, we just hope this situation doesn't end up on Maury now that little Ella is here.

Jermaine Jackson Jr. and his longtime "Shahs of Sunset" star girlfriend Asa Soltan Rahmati gave birth to a baby boy.  His name is a combination of his parents' names. Asa made the announcement on IG about baby Soltan Jackson saying:

Lovers. We gave birth to our precious son on January 20th 2017. His name is Soltan Jackson and we are completely in Love with him. Mami, Baby, and Daddy are all doing well. We’re patiently waiting to see the BET miniseries "The New Edition Story," a biopic that will give fans a behind-the-scenes look from their humble beginnings to their rise to fame. But before we get into their journey to the top of the music charts, the legendary R&B group was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday. Woot!

New Edition members Ronnie DeVoe, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant and Johnny Gill (and their families) were all in attendance for the ceremony to accept the 2,600th star on the Walk of Fame.

The group was created in 1983 in Boston, Massachusetts and ended up mesmerizing audiences for more than 30 years with their vocal harmonies, choreographed shows and lively performances. New Edition was the blueprint for boy bands that followed. The group garnered 18-multi platinum albums, nabbed 4 American Music Awards, 14 No. 1 records and countless Billboard Top 20 hits, according to the Walk of Fame website.

Breaking away from the band, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins and Ronnie DeVoe found success with their group Bell-Biv-DeVoe. Meanwhile, Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant also found success with their solo careers.

It’s a long time coming, but the group is finally getting the recognition they deserve.

In very sad news, WorldStarHipHop found Lee “Q” O’Denat has reportedly died. He was 43. More inside…

The media world was shaken today with news that WorldStarHipHop founder Lee “Q” O’Denat passed away last night. He was 43.

According to TMZ, Q died in his sleep Monday night. Details on the cause of his death are still unclear, but sources tell the site he died of a heart attack. An autopsy is scheduled for later today that will officially confirm how he died.

As you know, Q founded one of the top Hip Hop sites on the Internet which was launched in 2005. The shocking and outrageous videos posted on the site quickly rounded up a huge following over the last 10+ years.

This is the last post posted on Q's Instagram. We're not sure if he had his social media accounts to post automatically, but the message falls in line with what he has coming down the pipeline. 

It was recently announced that WorldStarHipHop inked a deal with MTV for a new series on the MTV2 network.

MTV made the announcement earlier this month reporting:

The wildly popular WorldStarHipHop.com comes to life in the groundbreaking new series hosted by All Def Comedy Jam's Chris Powell. Straight from the World Star VIP Lounge, comedian CP will be joined by other comedians, correspondents and cultural tastemakers to provide laugh-out-loud commentary on some of the funniest clips from the award-winning digital destination. Original sketches, man-on-the-street segments and celebrity guests from the hottest names in rap and hip-hop will round out the weekly series.

As of now, “WorldStar TV” is still set to premiere February 3rd at 11/10c on MTV2.

You heard Reggie Bush allegedly has a mistress, named Monique Exposito, and that she could possibly be pregnant with his baby. Now, Monique’s husband is coming out swinging. He’s spilling some hot tea about his estranged wife’s affair and more. Deets inside…

The drama between Reggie Bush and his alleged mistress continues.

By now, you’ve heard that the married Detroit Lion running back allegedly cheated on his wife Lilit Avagyan with a woman named Monique Exposito, allegedly got her knocked up and allegedly offered her millionsto get an abortion. It’s still unclear if Reggie actually offered her millions to terminate the pregnancy, but we do know Monique IS pregnant.

Monique, who is a Miami nightclub waitress, is very close to her due date, reportedly set to give birth in February.

Now, Monique’s husband (yep, she’s married) is jumping in the mix. And he’s looking to be DONE with everything involving Monique.

The woman’s unidentified husband has filed divorce papers and Reggie’s name is sprinkled all throughout the paperwork. He’s convinced Reggie is the father of her unborn baby because he didn’t sleep with her during the time of conception. And now, he wants Monique to gather up any and all details that would prove Reggie IS the father, and not him.

TMZ reports:

He's named Bush several times in his divorce papers and is demanding she hand over any documentation proving he could be the father ... such as DNA tests, confidentiality agreements or payments he may have made to her.

The husband also notes he didn't have sex with his wife around the time of conception -- so there's no way HE could be the daddy.

It’s being reported the husband’s lawyer reached out to Reggie’s camp in hopes of working out a deal privately, but apparently that never happened.

Meanwhile...

Lilit Avagyan’s friends are extremely worried about her after news broke that her husband Reggie Bush allegedly cheated on her…and possibly got a chick pregnant. Her friends tell us that she’s trying to stay strong for the sake of their family, but they’re concerned how it’s affecting her.

Sources close to her circle tell TheYBF.com that Lilit is having a hard time coping with rumors that her husband Reggie Bush CHEATED and possibly got another woman pregnant.

We’re told Lilit is “incredibly hurt and embarrassed,” but she’s trying to stay strong to keep her family life as normal as possible for their two children, Briseis and Uriah.

The source tells us:

“She has good days and bad days. [We’re] trying to be as supportive as possible, but we just don’t understand why she hasn’t left him yet! We keep telling her once a cheater, always a cheater [especially] since he has quite the reputation from previous relationships.”

According to the source, Reggie allegedly confessed to cheating on her, but assured his wife this was the FIRST and ONLY person he has ever cheated on her with. Mmhmm...

He also supposedly told her that it would never happen again.

While he allegedly admitted to cheating, it's unclear if he actually got the other woman pregnant and we still don't know if he actually offered the other woman $2-$3 million for an abortion. The source did say that Lilit confirmed to them that Monique is in fact pregnant with Reggie’s baby.

Just messy!

Well, despite all of the drama, it appears Reggie and Lilit are still together after spending Christmas and New Year's together with their babies:

Guess we'll have to wait and see what the DNA reveals once the baby is born.

Opting for a bold color, Meagan turned heads in a bright yellow strapless flowy gown. 

Written and directed by Nzingha Stewart, Love By The 10th Date appears to be the perfect chick flick to watch with your girlfriends. Kelly Rowland, Keri Hilson and Kelle Stewart join Meagan in the rom-com.

Below is a synopsis on the film:

Love By The 10th Date follows Gabby (Good), Nell (Stewart), Billie (Hilson) and Margot (Rowland) who balance their dating adventures alongside their career ambitions at an upscale digital magazine in Los Angeles, under the watchful eye of their editor, Maureen (Cat Deeley).

Star Kelly Rowland didn’t disappoint when she popped up at the film’s premiere screening. The R&B singer, who will soon add author to her resume, pulled off a chic striped look by designer Jamie Wei Huang styled with YSL heels and a black fedora. 

Last week, Kellz recorded the audio recording for her new book “Whoa Baby,” so be on the look out for the book’s release soon.

Paris Jackson opens up for the very first time since her father Michael Jackson passed away seven years ago. She's 18 now, and she's ready to talk.  Find out why she feels her father was murdered and why she identifies as black inside…

It’s been seven years since music icon Michael Jackson passed away in his L.A. home. And now, for the first time ever, his daughter Paris Jackson is opening up about her father.

Growing up, Michael tried his hardest to keep all of his children, including Prince and Blanket, out of the limelight. People remember Michael hiding the kids' faces with masks and blankets to keep their identities sealed. Paris recalled what life was life growing up having Michael as a dad and it was all good things.

The 18-year-old covers the newest issue of Rolling Stone where she opened up about her life as kid saying:

"We actually had a pretty normal life. Like, we had school every single day, and we had to be good. And if we were good, every other weekend or so, we could choose whether we were gonna go to the movie theater or see the animals or whatever. But if you were on bad behavior, then you wouldn't get to go do all those things."

She opened up about her father’s death accusing AEG Live and Dr. Conrad Murray (who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in her father's death) for her dad’s untimely death. She said it’s more than obvious that her father was murdered.

"Because it's obvious. All arrows point to that. It sounds like a total conspiracy theory and it sounds like bullshit, but all real fans and everybody in the family knows it. It was a setup. It was bullshit." She said “a lot of people” wanted him dead.

“AEG Live does not treat their performers right,” she explained. “They drain them dry and work them to death,” she shared.

Paris also talked about how her father would hints that people were trying to kill him.

“He would drop hints about people being out to get him. And at some point he was like, 'They're gonna kill me one day.'" (Rolling Out notes: Lisa Marie Presley told Oprah Winfrey of a similar conversation with Michael, who expressed fears that unnamed parties were targeting him to get at his half of the Sony/ATV music-publishing catalog, worth hundreds of millions.)

Growing up, the media questioned if Michael was indeed his kids’ biological father. Paris doesn’t have any doubts that MJ is her biological father. In fact, she identifies as black.

"I consider myself black," she said, adding later that her dad "would look me in the eyes and he'd point his finger at me and he'd be like, 'You're black. Be proud of your roots.' And I'd be like, 'OK, he's my dad, why would he lie to me?' So I just believe what he told me. 'Cause, to my knowledge, he's never lied to me.”

She continued, "Most people that don't know me call me white. I've got light skin and, especially since I've had my hair blond, I look like I was born in Finland or something."

To further prove her point, Paris compared herself to actor Wentworth Miller, who has a black dad and a white mom and looks very similar in completion and eye color as herself.

Growing up, Paris didn’t have a relationship with her mother Debbie Rowe, but eventually linked up with her after her father’s death after researching her online. She said when she was about 10-years-old, she asked Prince about their mom.  He revealed her name was Debbie.“And I was like, 'OK, well, I know the name,” she said.

La La, who plays Ronnie Devoe's mother in the movie, rocked a sheer black Thai Nguyen dress for the big night at Paramount Theater.  Slaying all up and down this carpet.

'Next' group member Robert Lavelle "RL" Huggar is officially a dad again!

He and his wife of three months, Lena Huggar, welcomed little Rory this week in Atlanta.

The newlyweds shared their baby girl's name last week when they snapped a cute pic of themselves preppeing her nursery.

Both posted the above cute sneak peek. 

It looks like Lena gave birth on or around the same day as her good friend Keshia Knight Pulliam. 

RL, who has an older son from a previous relationship, gushed on Monday:

At 9:16pm my baby @ourrorystory came into this world. I'm going to love her, protect her, & show her how amazing God is!

And new mom Lena said:

Get ready for a new documentary about a group of Baltimore teen girls on a journey to accomplish their goals post-graduation. Fox Searchlight just picked up ‘STEP’ for a cool $4 million. Deets inside…

Good news!

Fox Searchlight just scooped up a new documentary titled STEP for $4 million. STEP was a huge hit at the Sundance Film Festival and the production company didn’t waste any time to acquire the rights. Fox Searchlight also bought the documentary for distribution and remake rights as well.

According to Deadline, the Amanda Lipitz-directed film follows a step dance team at The Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women, dubbed the “Lethal Ladies.” The charter school was created in 2009 and its mission is to send every student to college despite living in the tough streets of Baltimore.

With the first class gearing up to enter its senior year, it's do or die. The documentary follows three seniors along with the step team as they navigate through their final year of high school and prepare to go to college.

The site reports:

The film, which features Blessin Giraldo, Cori Grainger, Tayla Solomon, Gari McIntyre, and Paula Dofat, follows three irrepressible seniors and their “Lethal Ladies” step dance team as they navigate a nerve-wracking college application process and the trials and tribulations of the tenacious young women, as well as their mothers, an unstoppable college counselor, and a no-nonsense step coach.

The Lethal Ladies did their thing at the Sundance Film Festival, serving up a powerful Black Lives Matter message to the audience:

The Sports Illustrated model rocked a white bikini top underneath the mini romper and a badge that said “Chrissy Plant Manager.”

After a few shots, she burst into laughter before catching a grip to strike more poses.

In celebs give back news... 

Not only does Solange sing about it, she IS about it.

After rocking the stage at the Peace Ball last Thursday, Solo made a surprise stop at black-owned bookstore Sankofa Video Books & Café to meet with fans in the area. She didn't just do a meet-and-greet, she also dug deep into her pockets and purchased a whopping 250 books for Howard University students and guests in attendance.

The “Cranes In The Sky” singer had originally planned to speak at Howard University, but the school was closed for the presidential inauguration. That’s when she decided to reach out to the bookstore to host her event there and the rest was history. She posted about the meet-and-greet on her Instagram page hours before the event and hundreds of people, mostly Howard students, flocked to the bookstore hours later.

“I think that now more than ever we have to invest in community and fellowship,” Solo said as she greeted the crowd.

The singer offered up words of encouragement to always strive to do their best and how meeting them inspired her as well. Peep her speech below:

Rumors about a threesome between Porsha Williams, Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker have been a hot topic in these Internet streets. While Porsha denies ever having a threesome with her “Real Housewives of Atlanta” co-stars, there WAS a kiss.

During an interview with PEOPLE, Porsha sets the record straight. She said,

“I have no want to be with Todd whatsoever. There was a night when we were in the club and I was super drunk with beer goggles and there was a kiss. There was fun in the club, but there was nothing where anybody went home with anyone.”

So what about her friend Shamea? Did she have a threesome with Kandi and Todd?

“My friend Shamea has never told me anything like that has happened with Kandi. As far as what else Kandi is doing with her personal life, watch the rest of the show. It will come out.”

Oh? We wonder what it is.

In legal news...

We told you Steve Harvey fired off a new lawsuit to countersue a former employee who tried to extort him for $5 million over videos where Steve allegedly went on “racist rants.”

A Dallas man named Joseph Cooper, who is a videographer who once worked with Steve, went after the television show host for $5 million over some tapes he has of Steve allegedly going off about white people that were recorded over 20 years ago. Joseph claimed the “Family Feud” host spewed hateful comments about white people, saying things like “spit on white people” and “go assault white women” during some of the shows he performed at a Dallas comedy club.

Steve showed up in court today in North Texas to argue who owns and can release the footage. Joseph filed the original suit claiming he owns the tapes and should be able to profit from them. He came with receipts, saying Steve signed a contract to reflect his claims, but the judge called it “ambiguous.”

Steve took the stand where he said,“I just have this cloud over my career that he’s created over me—he’s just relentless. I’ve got more to lose as I get bigger and in this business, image is everything.”

Apparently, Joseph has been shopping these tapes around for years, passing them off to potential employers of Steve trying to convince them NOT to hire him for gigs.

Joseph also took the stand testify. He offered up an apology to Steve for some of the phone calls he made in the past, but he’s adamant about getting paid for the videos. He’s suing for breach of contract and wants a cool $10 million in damages.

Sheesh. More money, more problems.

Ish is about to GO.DOWN. And we’re here for ALL of it.

The Ocean’s Eight ladies, including Rihanna, Sandra Bullock, Sarah Paulson and Awkwafina, were spotted hopping out of a white van in Central Park in NYC yesterday to shoot new scenes for the upcoming flick.

Braving the rain, all of the ladies were dressed in all black as they stepped out the back of a can. It appears the ladies are planning some of type of heist or something.

Details about the plot of the film has remained under wraps, but based on the pictures from the set we’ve seen so far, we believe RiRi is going to play some type of tech genius. If they’re planning a heist, the “Work” singer’s role will play a big part in pulling off a heist. We also know that there’s going to be a Met Gala scene that will feature cameos from the Kardashian Klan.

Hmm…maybe the ladies are planning to take over the Met Gala!  We won’t find out until June 8, 2018 when the movie hits theaters, unless more details trickle out before then.

In other movie news....

Days after it was announced he signed on as an executive producer (through his Freedom Road Productions), Common made sure he was front and center at Netflix’s Burning Sands premiere held at the Eccles Center during the 2017 Sundance Film Festival.

Not only is he an executive producer, the Oscar winner is also contributing an original track for the film. He wrote “The Cross” ft. singer-songwriter Lianne La Havas that will be performed during the close credits of the film. Karriem Riggins, Robert Glasper and Samora Pinderhuges also co-wrote the track.

“I’m grateful that Freedom Road is a producing partner on this and it was an honor and a joy to create a song for a movie that I’m inspired by,” the Chi-town rapper told Deadline.

Burning Sands will follow the journey of fraternity hazing through the eyes of one pledgee who finds himself torn between honoring a code of silence or standing up against the violence of underground hazing.

The cast -- including Trevor Jackson, Alfre Woodard, Serayah and Chiké Okonkwo ("Being Mary Jane"/Birth of a Nation) were also in attendance:
