Nelly's sexy self rolled into The Breakfast Club this morning to chat about why his career isn't on top of the game anymore and why he continues to stay mum about his girl Ashanti.  And he offered up some subtle threats to Charlamagne after getting grilled by him about his "cold career".   We've got the interview and highlights inside.  Plus, Rick Ross makes an appearance on "Chelsea Lately"....

Nelly's got his seventh studio album coming out this fall, M.O., so he's making his promo rounds.   And he's talking about why he stays mum on Ashanti, how he feels about not being #1 in the game, and more.

On beef with Flo Rida

Nelly says the song "Apple Bottom Jeans" was not originally his like people think, it was indeed Flo's. There's no beef with Flo even though it seems like the now bald rapper jacked his style. Nelly says he respects the fact Flo was a fan of his and made his own mark on music.

On his "cold career"

Charlamagne questioned him--several times--on how he felt about his career not being at the top like it used to be. Nelly got slightly offended and said that's his opinion. But a career has ups and downs--as long as you're around that's what matters.

On his relationship with Ashanti

"Like I said before, me and baby girl are real cool. It's not going to change until we want to change it."  Nelly said people think it's only his decision on whether or not they discuss their relationship publicly--it was a mutual decision.

On his ventures outside of music

Apple Bottom Jeans is still around with two stores in Dubai.  It's been around for 10 years and the only urban female clothing line around for that long.  He still owns Troop brand and just opened a school in St. Louis.  He's also making an appearance on Queen Latifah's upcoming CW music competition show "The Next".  He also may do the actual tv show "Househusbands" with Kevin Hart.  And he still has his part ownership of the Bobcats.

On loving "Love & Hip Hop ATL" and if he would work with Joseline

"You know what; I think it's made for TV. When people get upset about that show, I think they taking it seriously and there's nothing to be taken seriously about that show, it's entertainment. I tune in to laugh. I think Stevie J is made for television!"

"Yeah, I would [laugh and hang up if Stevie J asked me to work with Joseline.] I definitely would, but you know what, I'd tune in to watch him get on the phone and ask."

The two started off the convo about sex--of course.  Chelsea hilariously said she loves big black men.  And Ricky proposed an elopement--but said he wants to skip the paper work.  Chelsea said she's ready to upgrade from 50 Cent to Ricky Rozay.  Ha.

Ciara was in Cancun, Mexico last weekend where she served as "Maid of Honor" at the wedding of her BFF Yolonda Frederick (next to CiCi) and Sean Thompson.  Yolonda has been Ciara's makeup artist for years, as well as Jennifer Hudson's.

She attended both a welcome dinner and bachelorette dinner at the Hotel Barcelo Maya Beach Resort and posed it up with friends.

Tameka Raymond has announced plans to honor her son Kile Glover after his passing.  She is creating a Fund to increase water safety for families. Details inside and photos from the funeral...

We told you earlier about the funeral of Kile Glover in Atlanta today, and earlier this morning, Tameka Raymond announced her next steps to honor his legacy.

Tameka was seen carrying her youngest son Naviyd from the church after the services.  And Kile's father, Ryan, was also see leavign the church.

 She tweeted:

"I appreciate the hundreds, perhaps thousands of prayers. I'm so grateful to you guys. Kile was the most fun, creative, sweet, respectful boy.  Many have asked where to send flowers, but in Lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a contribution to the Kile Glover Fund @ Bank of America.  Our goal to to increase water safety- thru implementing laws, policies & education. The streets are buzzing that Jennifer Williams may be dating R&B crooner Maxwell.  We do know the two have been friends for a while and have hung out on several occassions over the past couple years in group settings.  But things seem to be becoming more about the two of them rather than about their group of friends.

"American Idol" judge Mariah Carey (shown above in her official "Idol" promo pic) just signed on for Lee Daniels' The Butler which has begun shooting in New Orleans.  Former "ANTM" star and actress Yaya DaCosta was also added to the cast.  

The film is based on the true-life story of Eugene Allen, who worked as a butler in the White House from 1952 to 1986, serving under eight presidents. 

Mariah and Yaya will join other YBFers like Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey and Jesse Williams who've already begun shooting.  And music for the film will be composed by the legendary Quincy Jones.  This may be good...

And on tv.....

Season three winner Emmitt Smith will return to "DWTS" this season (Sept. 24th) for its "All-Star" edition.  The NFL legend will be back on the floor dancing it up yest again. Unfortunately, he's the only YBFer returning... so far.  There's still a chance Kyle Massey will get voted back on as well.

Rozay rolled up to "106 & Park" today and performed for the crowd after receiving a long winded call of congrats from Diddy.  He also played a game with the fans to see if he could recognize his own lyrics read to him from fans.

Today in London, (if you weren't watching the live feed and missed all the spoilers today--damn you NBC!) gymnast Gabby Douglas led the 2012 US women’s gymnastics team to an Olympic team gold medal. 

The final round just aired in the US, and emotions were high as the Fab Five beat out Russia (silver) and Romania (Bronze).  The entire team--Jordyn Wieber, Gabrielle Douglas, McKayla Maroney, Alexandra Raisman, Kyla Ross--did a fabulous job in all parts of the competition.

It's the US first team gold medeal since Dominique Dawes helped the Magnificant Seven to that #1 spot in 1996.

Also, New Yorker and TEAM USA Women's Swim teammember Lia Neal (shown on the far left) won a bronze medal in the women's 4x100-meter relay race recently. 

And Cullen Jones won a silver medal in the men's 4x100m freestyle relay recently as well.

By the way, Michael Phelps won the silver in the 200 butterfly and gold in the 4x200 freestyle relay today for USA. As a result, his name his going in the history books as the most decorated Olympian in the world with 19 medals total. That number couldclimb to 22 by the time these Olympics are over. WORK!

After Day 4, US medal count is in second place with 22 total, 8 Gold.  China is leading with 23 medals total, 13 Gold.

Singer Brandy has revealed photos taken on the set of her "Put It Down" video shoot with Chris Brown.  And we've got the lovey dovey flicks inside.  

Brandy and Chris Brown got hugged up on the set of her Hype Williams-directed video for her single "Put It Down." In the video, shot earlier this month, Brandy will stand in front of two Ferraris and perform a dance routine choreographed by Frank Gatson Jr.

On Monday, Snoop Dogg announced via a press conference this week that he will be changing his name to "Snoop Lion" because of a spiritual awakening he had in Jamaica recently. Could that spiritual awakening have anything to do with the ridiculousquantity of ganja he likely smoked.  While in Jamaica working on his new reggae album Reincarnated, the rapper visited a Rastafarian priest who inspired him.

He explained what led to the spritual awakening saying,

"I want to bury Snoop Dogg, and become Snoop Lion. I didn't know that until I went to the temple, where the High Priest asked me what my name was, and I said, ‘Snoop Dogg.’ And he looked me in my eyes and said, ‘No more. You are the light; you are the lion.’ From that moment on, it's like I had started to understand why I was there.”

He later added, 

"I have always said I was Bob Marley reincarnated. I feel I have always been a Rastafari. I just didn't have my third eye open, but it's wide open right now."

Rick Ross chatted it up with The Breakfast Club this morning and talked about his new album, new whip and working with Dr. Dre.  Oh, and that baby mama drama too.  Deets inside.....

Rick Ross visited Power 105 1's "The Breakfast Club" this AM to discuss his new album God Forgives I Don't.   He bragged about his success saying, "No other rapper is seeing money like me" and revealed he just spent $1.2Million on a Maybach coupe.  How frugal of him.

He hinted that he "may" sign his MIA homie Trina to his label because he wants to see her succeed.  He also said working with legends like Andre 3000 and Dr. Dre really inspired him, and he knows he put out a good classic album.

And when it came to the subject of baby mamas and the woman who claim he fathered her child, he said, "I Never met the woman in my life!"   He said he knows all the women he is intimate with and he is working with his lawyer to make sure no other groupies pop up and claim they are pregnant.  Sigh......

And following in Kanye's footsteps, he revealed he will be designing his own sneaker.  Since he's been working with Reebok lately, that may just be his new sneaker home.

Last night, Kevin Durant joined LeBron James and other Olympic teammates at Funky Buddha nightclub in Mayfair.  The team had just beaten Tunisia by over 50 points to advance to the next tournament round.  That calls for a celebration!

And Carmelo also took some time off the court to hang with the fellas.  His wife LaLa just arrived in town tweeting, "Touchdown....LONDON!!!!!"  We're sure the "Full Court Life" cameras will be in full force as well...

Olympic Delegate Dominique Dawes (shown above watching tennis several days ago with the First Lady) recently showered the 2012 US Women's Gymnastics team with praise.  She said the girls deserve credit for winning "gold" in another country and that she's sure an all-around champion will emerge from the bunch.

She added that she and her 1996 teammates, known as the Magnificent 7, are very proud of the girls for finally bringing Olympic Gold back to the U.S. But she also addressed the comparisons folks are making about which team was better.

On what true power is:
My definition of power is being able to move, and live, and do the things that you aspire to do and that you believe are part of your purpose to do, without letting other people's opinions or judgements manipulate your direction, without getting discouraged when a door closes, and just kinda having a good sense of self, and knowing who you are, and being strong in your walk with God. All of that, to me, is what power is.
