Kerry Washington is back in action in a major way after popping out baby #2.  She served what is now our favorite red carpet look of hers to date this past Golden Globes night, and we've got every detail on it inside...

When you're back with your post-baby body looking bomb, you want the world to take notice.  And that we did.

Kerry Washington braved the rainy Golden Globes night with a dramatic switch up from her usual.  The "Scandal" star and GG nominee (for Confirmation)  went dark, sexy and with a gilded flair.

Her golden sheer lace & embroidered dress is Dolce & Gabbana's first couture creation ever.  So it's only right a tv queen debuted it properly.

 photo KerryWashington74thAnnualGoldenGlobeFW_sAZ4-bF4l_zpswco0dpu6.jpeg

The straight, highlighted hair and vampy lip with super embellished Sophia Webster shoes and Dolce & Gabbana clutch all worked for us.  The OPI spokeswoman's perfect mani didn't disappoint either:

Gorge!

She snapped a pic with our other fave of the night, Lily Collins, who rocked Zuhair Murad Couture:

Perfection.

Kerry also chopped it up with red carpet host Jeannie Mai about what we can expect when "Scandal" returns with TGIT January 26th (yeah, it got pushed back a week because of Trump):

These ladies went from interviewing celebs on the red carpet to working the carpet themselves at the Golden Globes.  Catch up with Tracey Edmonds, Karrueche Tran and Zuri Hall...

Karrueche Tran is living out her dreams these days. She put the re-ignited beef with Chris Brown behind her and hit the Golden Globes red carpet as an E! fashion correspondent.  Whoever her agent/team is needs a raise.

While we're loving her makeup, the hair is a no-go for us.  The dress fits her body like a glove though.

Correspondent Tracey Edmonds also came out to pull double duty:

Janelle Monae Is A Goddess, And She Just Proved Why

  photo JanelleMonaeClutchesHardCaseClutchOY3kn759sQXl_zpsqqjqyob0.jpeg

She already blew our minds with her surprisingly flawless acting skills in Hidden Figures.  Then, she did it again when she twirled onto the Golden Globes red carpet in a custom creation she helpeda legendary design house make.

More on Janelle Monae inside...

We totally see Janelle Monae winning a solo Golden Globe in the VERY near future.  She's that good. She killed her role as engineer Mary Jackson in the now #1 movie in the country Hidden Figures.  And the other night, she took our breath away with all that class.

 photo 74thAnnualGoldenGlobeAwardsCocktailReceptionkalHrhuc_XLl_zpslwdh1ujo.jpg

Janelle rocked a custom Armani Privé gown that was a collaborative effort with the design house.  The gorgeous star was at the Globes for her other huge movie of the year, Moonlight.  Yep, chick definitely started at the top when it comes to her acting career.

So perfect.  The Wondaland honcho had everybody in their feelings when she took the stage in complete awe when Moonlight won for Best Picture this past Sunday night.  (Catch up HERE!)

Janelle also reached out to Jenna Bush Hager who caused a sh*tstorm on Globes night when she (repeatedly) blended together two of the biggest movie of the year. #HiddenFences doesn't exist, obviously, but Janelle thanked her on Twitter for her apology:

Where On Earth Is Derrick Rose?! The NBA Star Went Missing Before The Knicks Game, Here's The Update

0

 photo derrickmia.jpg

Everyone’s wondering where Derrick Rose has gone? He was M.I.A. at the NY Knicks games vs. the New Orleans Pelicans last night and no one knows where he is. More inside…

Where is Derrick Rose?! That’s the question that was on everyone’s mind inside Madison Square Garden last night, including his coaches and teammates.

NY Knicks star point guard Derrick Rose was a no-show, no-call at last night’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans. They could have used him too. The Pelicans defeated the Knicks 110-96, making it the Knicks' eighth straight lost.

Derrick was absent from the game and officials didn’t have a clue where he was. Now, new details on his disappearance are emerging.

According to ESPN, Derrick had some family issues he needed to tend to in his hometown of Chicago.  He also was in contact with Joakim Noah and a few others by the end of the game.

Knicks point guard Derrick Rose went missing from the team Monday without permission but later reached team officials, telling them he had a family situation and had returned to his hometown of Chicago, sources told ESPN.

Rose missed Monday night's loss to the Pelicans, and the Knicks had grown concerned enough earlier to check on him at his apartment, sources said.

Publicly, the reasons remained a mystery after the game, with coach Jeff Hornacek saying "everything will become clear later on" and teammate Joakim Noah saying Rose was OK.

"I mean, I don't really want to talk too much about it because I don't really know what the situation is," said Noah, who has played with Rose since 2008 as his teammate in Chicago before coming to New York along with Rose prior to this season. "Obviously Derrick is one of our better players. And when he is not here it is tough. But I am just happy that everything is OK with him."

When asked if Rose's health is OK in light of his absence, Noah replied, "Yeah. He's OK ... I think it's a relief for all of us."

We've learned his ex Mieka Joi and their son PJ were on a flight back home from vacation last night. Mieka was posting like normal on social media.

We hope his family is OK.

But for real tho. Can we fight with Thomas too? Because the potential of the makeup session...

I'm from New York."

An eyewitness said one of Jamie's friends popped back saying“F*ck you! I’m from Oakland.” That’s when ish hit the fan and the man reportedly lunged at Jamie. It’s said Jamie grabbed the guy, put him in the chokehold and took him down.

Peep a clip of the melee below:

The man who started the altercation was kicked out of the establishment. Meanwhile, Jamie and his crew were allowed to stay. Its reported celebrities Nicole Murphy and Cuba Gooding Jr. were also in the mix when the fight went down.

Now, Jamie is addressing the issue while shamelessly plugging his new movie Sleepless.

He posted up a funny Instagram video showing off his “injuries” and calling out for peace. “I just want to address what happened on Saturday man from my perspective," he said."All I was trying to do man was keep my own things.”

He said, “I'm just f*cking with you all! 2017, we don't want no violence, we don't want to get hurt. But if you want to see me whoop some a**, y'all know what you gotta do. Come check me.”

You’ll Have To Wait An Extra Week To Get Your “TGIT” Fix Because, Trump + President Obama Praises Diverse Golden Globes Nominees In Thoughtful Note

 photo tgit2.jpg

TGIT fans aren’t going to want to hear this. The "Grey's Anatomy," “Scandal,” and “How To Get Away With Murder” line up has been pushed back a week. Find out why, plus read the thoughtful letter President Barack Obama wrote to the Golden Globe nominees inside…

Ugh! Just when we got excited about the return of our favorite shows, the lineup gets pushed back.

So here’s the deal. “Scandal” season premiere and the return of “How To Get Away With Murder” and “Grey’s Anatomy” have been pushed back a week. Shonda Rhimes’ TGIT lineup was originally scheduled to air January 19th. Now, we won’t get our TGIT fix until January 26th.

So what caused the push back? You guessed it, Donald Trump.

ABC News will be covering the presidential inauguration with “20/20” special titled, America’s First Family: The Trumps Go to Washington.” It’s set to air Thursday, January 19th at 10pm EST. The network issued a statement about the move saying, “The move was made in order to accommodate the ABC News special and to ensure that TGIT returned with three original episodes.”

Reruns of “Scandal” and “HTGAWM” will air at 8pm and 9pm before the Trump special.

Sorry kids!

In other presidential news…

 photo obamaletter.jpg

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama couldn’t attend this year’s Golden Globe ceremony, but they sent well wishes to the nominees in a thoughtful letter that was printed in the award show’s program.

POTUS thanked the nominees for using their talents to bring diverse tales to the big and small screen.

He wrote:

“Michelle and I send greetings to all those attending the 74th annual Golden Globe Awards. Film and television have captured audiences for generations — transforming the art of storytelling and challenging our understanding of society. Using the big and small screens to bring diverse tales to life, actors and actresses and creative visionaries behind the scenes have inspired us to find deeper meaning in our shared humanity.”

“Tonight's nominees have devoted their talents to helping us celebrate our triumphs and illustrate our flaws. By enabling us to see ourselves in each other and creating a space for the many narratives that reflect our rich and collective history, they remind us of the power of our voices and ideas and the ways they can shape our world for the better. As you gather to recognize this year's nominees, I wish you all the best for a memorable evening.”

National Geographic shared cool never-seen-before pictures of POTUS snorkeling in the Pacific Ocean on a September trip. Photographer Brian Skerry hopes the picture of POTUS swimming in the ocean will draw attention to ocean conservation efforts. You can check out more shirtless POTUS flicks and the accompanying article in the February 2017 issue of National Geographic magazine.

#SIBLINGGOALS: Beyoncé INTERVIEW'd Solange About Their Sisterhood, Mommyhood & Childhood -- And It Was Perfect

0

 photo bey solange interview_zpsojc1tl58.jpeg

Solange Knowles Ferguson was interviewed by her sister for the new issue of Interview mag, and it was everything we didn't even know we needed....

They've been serving effortless #siblinggoals for like, two decades.  Now, we get a peek into how regular -- well, maybe not SUPER regular -- day to day conversations between Beyoncé & Solange go down.

 photo 3ad32b46-7232-455a-b0e2-a99772fb1cae_zpsutrxcobv.jpeg

Solange revealed that for the new issue of Interview, she HAD to have her big sis put on her journalist hat for her big story:

"After interviewing my mother and father for A Seat At The Table, it feels like full circle to have chosen my sister to interview me for Interview Magazine. It is one of my favorite talks to date."

So here's our favorite parts -- they're totally just like us, until they're not (because they're legit superstars):

BEYONCÉ: Are you exhausted? I know you had a parent-teacher conference ...

SOLANGE: Yeah, I actually had to fly to Philly because there were no flights left to New York. And now I'm driving from Philly to New York. Well, I'm not driving, but ...

BEYONCÉ: You have to drive? From Philly?

SOLANGE: Yeah. But it's not bad. It's only an hour and 40 minutes.

Yep, they talk about their parent-teacher conferences and travel plans like other sisters.

BEYONCÉ: And, honestly, growing up, how did I do as a big sister?

SOLANGE: You did a kickass job. You were the most patient, loving, wonderful sister ever. In the 30 years that we've been together, I think we've only really, like, butted heads ... we can count on one hand.

Bet we can guess what that one time was...

BEYONCÉ: I remember thinking, "My little sister is going to be something super special," because you always seemed to know what you wanted. And I'm just curious, where did that come from?

SOLANGE: ...I guess a part of that was being the baby of the family and being adamant that, in a house of five, my voice was being heard. Another part is that I remember being really young and having this voice inside that told me to trust my gut.

Swoon!

BEYONCÉ: One of my proudest moments as a sister was when I was able to introduce you to your hero, Nas, and you cried and acted a fool. I was so surprised that Mrs. Too-cool-for-everything was acting a fool.

When your big sister knows your life.

 photo 17e10eef-0014-4ae1-8cc5-d8393499ba42_zps4kumuvis.jpeg

Solange on the overwelming response to ASATT:

"...I just feel so much joy and gratitude that people have connected to it in this way. The biggest reward that I could ever get is seeing women, especially black women, talk about what this album has done, the solace it has given them."

Solange on her and Beyoncé's childhood in Houston:

"I remember reading or hearing things about Master P that reminded me so much of Dad growing up. And they also have an incredible amount of love and respect for one another. And I wanted a voice throughout the record that represented empowerment and independence, the voice of someone who never gave in, even when it was easy to lose sight of everything that he built, someone invested in black people, invested in our community and our storytelling, in empowering his people. You and I were raised being told not to take the first thing that came our way, to build our own platforms, our own spaces, if they weren't available to us."

Solange on what she learned from her sister:

"Getting to be in control of your own narrative. And, at this point, it should be an expectation, not something that you're asking permission for."

EXCLUSIVE: “Being Mary Jane” Star Raven Goodwin HATES The Curvy Girl Label, Reveals Her New Healthy Lifestyle

 photo raven2.png

“Being Mary Jane” star Raven Goodwin isn’t one for labels. She prefers to be her authentic self without having to be put into a box. The YBF chick also dished to us about her new healthy lifestyle. Get it all inside…

“Being Mary Jane” star Raven Goodwin is gearing up for the season 4 premiere of the hit BET series that’s set to premiere tonight. TheYBF.com caught up with the 24-year-old actress for a chat where she dropped a few gems that caught us by surprise.

For starters, Raven hates labels. Because, why have labels when you can just be you?

The YBF actress, who’s currently enrolled in film school, tells us that no matter what “label” people put on her, she’s going to be her authentic self.

“I don’t categorize myself,” she tells TheYBF.com.“I’m a woman. I’m a black woman. No matter my size, shape or whatever, my gift is to act. That’s my gift. That’s one of my many purposes that I’m going to live out and I’m going to accomplish.”

She continues,

“I’m just Raven. If I want to keep the weight, I’m going to work. If I lose the weight, I’m going to work. I love showing love to girls who look up to me who may be plus size. That’s what I’m here for. But at the same time, all of the labels make it difficult for us to just exist.”

So true. It's easy to get caught up in labels and then lose focus on what’s really important.

Her advice for young girls trying to make it in the entertainment industry?“Be authentic as possible.”

We’ve been stalking Raven’s social media pages, and she looks AHH-mazing these days. We had to ask her about her diet/fitness routine.

The YBF Chick tells us,

“I’ve been in and out of the gym. I do yoga from time to time. I was Pescatarian for two years and then I went on a bit of a meat binge. Now, I’ve transitioned into veganism. I’m going to try it for six months and see how I like it. I love cheese. I’m a cheese kind of girl, so I don’t know. I’ll probably end up being a lifelong Pescatarian nine times out of ten.”

We doubt she'll be going to any Waffle Houses anytime soon.  HMPH.

 photo raven1.jpg

With Gabrielle Union and BET settling Gabby’s multi-million dollar lawsuit (that she actually filed to help out her co-stars as well), what does Raven have to say about it all?

“I rock with Gab. I love Gab. She rocks with us. I don’t really know what’s going on. I’m just letting them work that out. I’m always going to rock with her.”

And since we love a good celeb crush around these parts, we had to ask Raven her TOP THREE celeb crushes.

“Idris Elba, Michael Ealy and then…I’ve always had this thing for Mos Def. I just love his swag.”

Yummy!

Check out Raven in the Season 4 premiere of “Being Mary Jane” tonight at 10pm EST on BET.

A surprise shoutout at the Golden Globes turns into a No. 1 hit on the music charts the next.

Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) had the best Golden Globes Night EVER, winning two Globes the first time ever being nominated for his FX series “Atlanta.” And he shared the wealth.

During one of his acceptance speeches, he thanked Atlanta rap trip Migos for making “Bad & Boujee,” dubbing it one of the greatest songs ever. During his backstage speech, he explained why he gave them shoutout during his speech on stage.

“I think they’re the Beatles of this generation and I don’t think they don’t get a lot of respect outside of Atlanta. There’s a generation — sort of like the YouTube generation — that I came up with. There’s a generation of kids growing up with something that’s separate from a whole group of people. And honestly, that song [“Bad and Boujee”] is just fly. There’s no better song to have sex to.”

By the way, Migos made a cameo in episode three of “Atlanta”.

Well…that shoutout solidified Migos’ new single as a No. 1 hit. “Bad and Boujee” featuring Lil Uzi Vert, shot to the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, dethroning Rae Sremmurd's "Black Beatles.”

Talk about a nice come up.  It looks like Hov's been a fan too.

We wouldn't be surprised if Donald and the Migos hop in the studio to create some new heat for the show.

Rapper Fetty Wap has a sex tape that he’s trying his damnedest to keep from seeing the light of day.

Apparently a “model” named Alexis Skyy (below) has the tape and is threatening to leak it, shopping it around to the highest bidder.  At least that's what Fetty is accusing her of:

 photo Screen Shot 2017-01-10 at 6.01.35 PM.png

The "Trap Queen" rapper has issued cease and desist letters to Alexis and several media outlets, banning them from releasing the video. If Alexis decides not to follow Fetty’s wishes, he’s going to sue.

Take a peek at the cease and desist letter here.

Interesting, Alexis says she's devastated by the tape "getting out":

 photo 844x1500.jpeg.ace3039a0f4945c3b767cab0a7a08c3d_zpsn79cggey.jpeg

Fetty's baby's mother Masika came for her saying she's trying to go the Kim K. route:

Fetty might be a little late though. This video of his alleged sex tape popped up online today. We're not posting it, but you can check it out here.

Sighs...the foolery is at an all time high so far in 2017.

Gabrielle Union DRAGS KellyAnne Conway For Coddling Trump & Addresses The “Hidden Fences” Fiasco

 photo gabf4.jpg

Y’all know Gabrielle Union isn’t one to hold her tongue on topics she feels are important. And she let Donald Trump and his campaign manager KellyAnne Conway HAVE IT during an appearance on “The View” today. Find out what she said inside…

Gabby made her media rounds this morning ahead of the season 4 premiere of “Being Mary Jane” tonight. She stopped to chat it up with the ladies on “The View” today about Donald Trump’s response (he called her a “Hillary flunky”) to Meryl Steep’s commentary about the president-elect during her Golden Globe Award speech.

Gabby noted how Meryl Streep never mentioned Trump by name, but clearly her words obviously touched a nerve. Hmph.

“She talked about someone who openly mocked a disabled reported, so if you weren’t somebody that openly mocked a disabled reporter, you wouldn’t have your panties in a bunch,” she said.

Facts.

Meryl received tons of backlash for bringing politics to the awards show, but Gabby offered up the perfect response to Trump about the criticism.“Honey, you’re a reality show," she said."If you got a publicist and you care about the ratings of the Apprentice, you’re in entertainment. So, you’re one of us, honey.”

Did she tell any lies tho?

The 44-year-old actress also ripped into Trump’s campaign manager KellyAnne Conway for coddling Trump’s ways. You’ll recall, KellyAnne encouraged Americans to “look into his heart” and not necessarily at the things he says/have said. Her response?

“I once looked into his heart. It grabbed my butt.”

Bloop!

Peep the full interview below:

Gabby is hot on the promo trail and looking fabulous while doing so.

Gabby worked the sidewalk catwalk in a color-blocked Dion Lee pre-Fall 2017 coat paired with Pierre Hardy sandals.

This look is perfection.

The real life WAG also stopped by "Good Morning America" to dish on her big move to Chicago with her NBA hubby Dwyane Wade and their kids, the new season of "Being Mary Jane" and more. Peep the clip below:

Rihanna can literally wear a trash bag and make it look good. Go inside to peep her latest flicks, plus find out the real reason Derrick Rose was a no-show for the Knicks game last night inside…

Walking billboard alert!

If its one thing Rihanna knows how to do its rocking her own threads in the most stylish of ways.

The “Work” singer was spotted braving the NYC cold weather to make her way inside Tao for dinner last night. Keeping it comfortably cute, the Bajan beauty rocked a gray oversized fleece jumpsuit from her FENTY x PUMA collection paired with patent leather Balenciaga ankle booties. She finished her look with a VETEMENTS X Canada Goose reversible camo parka to keep warm.

 photo RedRihanna2.jpg

Be careful Rih!

In music news, RiRi took over Nielsen’s Top 10 list of on demand audio streams. And she did it with her homie-lover-friend Drake.“Work,” featuring Drake, “Needed Me” and Drizzy’s “Too Good” made the cut.

Congrats!

In sports news...

NY Knicks baller Derrick Rose went AWOL before the Knicks hit the court against the New Orleans Pelicans at Madison Square Garden last night. No one knew where he was. Even Knicks head coach Jeff Hornacek had no idea where he was. He didn’t call, text, send a smoke signal…nothing.

There were rumors that the star point guard had jetted to his hometown of Chicago to handle a family emergency. And the rumors were true.

Speaking with reporters today, Derrick revealed a family emergency came up (something to do with his mother) and he just had to make it home to tend to the issue. “I just had to get to my family,” he said.

We guess a quick text to the folks who sign his checks just wasn't in the cards.

He said he spoke with his teammates and coach after the game and apologized. Everyone totally understood and everything is good. Peep the clip above.

Derrick will be fined by the knicks and he WILL play in tomorrow night's game in Philly.

LIVE STREAM: Grab Your Tissues, President Barack Obama Gives His Final Farewell

 photo czmftqauqaaqram_zpshu15ospy.jpeg

The Obama Family is back in Chicago tonight where it all started.  Watch POTUS' final farewell inside.

President Barack Obama broke tradition and decided to give his final address to the nation not from the White House, but from the place he calls home -- Chicago.  He plans to express his gratitude to the people who showed him hope and change were possible. It's poetic, and we're all the way in our feelings.

He constantly reminded us that yes, we can.  Now, we tell him that yes, he did.  Thank you, Mr. President.

One last time.  For the history books.

The #WhereIsSasha Question Finally Answered

 photo BarackObamaPresidentObamaDepartsWhitenbDK5_1nzVcl_zpsirinb14y.jpeg

While most folks were crying their eyes out while watching President Obama give his final farewell to the nation Tuesday night, Twitter lost its collective mind trying to figure out where Sasha Obama was.  The mystery has been solved.

Sasha, 15, is a sophomore at the prestigious DC private school, Sidwell Friends, was not looking for Trump's tax returns or throwing a teenaged fit.  She wasn't grounded (that we know of) or any of the other foolish responses folks came up with when the #WhereIsSasha went viral.

It is a bit odd the youngest Obama was not present in Chicago for one of the biggest nights of her father's career, especially since she's been at pretty much every one of her dad's big speeches.  We figured it was something school related, and that it was.

While new high school graduate Malia Obama doesn't have classes to worry about until next fall when she starts school at Harvard, Sasha is still trekking her way through high school.

A senior administration official said Sasha missed the speech because she has a huge exam in the morning.

Ah, those pesky high school tests.

POTUS didn't leave out Sasha when talking about his family in his speech, though.

"Malia," Obama said, gesturing to his eldest daughter, "...and Sasha, under the strangest of circumstances, you have become two amazing young women. You are smart and you are beautiful but more importantly, you are kind and you are thoughtful -- and you are full of passion. And bore the burden of years in the spotlight so easily. Of all that I have done in my life, I am most proud to be your dad."

Mystery solved.  Now, back to our regularly scheduled program of tears....

WATCH: President Obama's Farewell Speech (And 9 Moments That Made Us Ugly Cry)

Tears, and more tears.  We've got President Obama's full farewell speech inside, plus the emotional moments that did us in.

President Obama walked out at Chicagos' McCormick Place to U2's "City of Blinding lights," the same song he walked out to when he announced his candidacy in the same place almost a decade ago.

He gave a farewell speech that's definitely going down in history as one of his best speeches to date.  You can watch the full 51 minute speech above.

Here's 9 moments that made us break out into the ugly cry:

 photo BarackObamaPresidentObamaDeliversFarewellQzW_NQ9Ka3rl_zpsqkclt7p3.jpeg

His tribute to First Lady Michelle Obama and their daughters that had him wiping away tears.   Malia cried too.

"Michelle...Michelle LaVaughn Robinson of the South Side...for the past 25 years you have not only been my wife and mother of my children, you have been my best friend.

You took on a role you didn’t ask for. And you made it your own with grace and with grit and with style, and good humor.

You made the White House a place that belongs to everybody.  And a new generation sets its sights higher because it has you as a role model.

You have made me proud, and you have made the country proud.

Malia and Sasha, under the strangest of circumstances you have become two amazing young women.

You are smart and you are beautiful. But more importantly, you are kind and you are thoughtful and you are full of passion.

And you wore the burden of years in the spotlight so easily. Of all that I have done in my life, I am most proud to be your dad."

If you're wondering where Sasha was....

 photo BarackObamaPresidentObamaDeliversFarewellbZdqbU3j14wl_zpswoxtz97a.jpeg

That love for Uncle Joe

"To Joe Biden, the scrappy kid from Scranton who became Delaware’s favorite son. You were the first decision I made as a nominee, and it was the best.

Not just because you have been a great vice president, but because in the bargain I gained a brother. And we love you and Jill like family. And your friendship has been one of the great joys of our lives."

 photo BarackObamaPresidentObamaDeliversFarewell-dbglN0TB_Jl_zpsyyjktlnx.jpeg

Crowd chanting "4 more years!"

Obama: "I can’t do that."

One step forward, two steps back.

"The work of democracy has always been hard. It has been contentious. Sometimes it has been bloody. For every two steps forward, it often feels we take one step back. But the long sweep of America has been defined by forward motion, a constant widening of our founding creed to embrace all, and not just some."

When POTUS reminded us that Yes, we did.

"If I had told you eight years ago that America would reverse a great recession, reboot our auto industry, and unleash the longest stretch of job creation in our history — if I had told you that we would open up a new chapter with the Cuban people, shut down Iran’s nuclear weapons program without firing a shot, take out the mastermind of 9-11 — if I had told you that we would win marriage equality and secure the right to health insurance for another 20 million of our fellow citizens — if I had told you all that, you might have said our sights were set a little too high."

When POTUS also reminded us that we have to carry on.

"In 10 days the world will witness a hallmark of our democracy. No, no, no, no, no. The peaceful transfer of power from one freely-elected President to the next. I committed to President-Elect Trump that my administration would ensure the smoothest possible transition, just as President Bush did for me."

When he read those receipts

The wealthy are paying a fair share of taxes. Even as the stock market shatters records, the unemployment rate is near a 10-year low. The uninsured rate has never, ever been lower.

Health care costs are rising at the slowest rate in 50 years. And I’ve said, and I mean it, anyone can put together a plan that is demonstrably better than the improvements we’ve made to our health care system, that covers as many people at less cost, I will publicly support it.

When he addressed race relations head on, and nailed it.

"After my election there was talk of a post-racial America. And such a vision, however well intended, was never realistic. Race remains a potent and often divisive force in our society.

Now I’ve lived long enough to know that race relations are better than they were 10 or 20 or 30 years ago, no matter what some folks say.

You can see it not just in statistics. You see it in the attitudes of young Americans across the political spectrum. But we’re not where we need to be. And all of us have more work to do."

The art of empathy

"Hearts must change. It won’t change overnight. Social attitudes oftentimes take generations to change. But if our democracy is to work the way it should in this increasingly diverse nation, then each one of us need to try to heed the advice of a great character in American fiction, Atticus Finch, who said “You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view, until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.”

For blacks and other minority groups, that means tying our own very real struggles for justice to the challenges that a lot of people in this country face. Not only the refugee or the immigrant or the rural poor or the transgender American, but also the middle-aged white guy who from the outside may seem like he’s got all the advantages, but has seen his world upended by economic, and cultural, and technological change.

We have to pay attention and listen.

For white Americans, it means acknowledging that the effects of slavery and Jim Crow didn’t suddenly vanish in the ’60s; that when minority groups voice discontent, they’re not just engaging in reverse racism or practicing political correctness; when they wage peaceful protest, they’re not demanding special treatment, but the equal treatment that our founders promised.

For native-born Americans, it means reminding ourselves that the stereotypes about immigrants today were said, almost word for word, about the Irish, and Italians, and Poles, who it was said were going to destroy the fundamental character of America. And as it turned out, America wasn’t weakened by the presence of these newcomers; these newcomers embraced this nation’s creed, and this nation was strengthened."

You HAVE To See White Actor Joseph Fiennes As Michael Jackson In First ‘Urban Myths’ Trailer

0

 photo urbanm1.jpg

Yes, this is real. We told you white actor Joseph Fiennes would be portraying Michael Jackson in a new TV special. And here we are. Peep the first “Urban Myths” trailer inside…

 photo urbanm2.jpg

Around this time last year, we told you the Brits were creating a TV special that will feature the late Michael Jackson. And we also told you they casted a white actor to play him. The shade of it all.

Despite all of the negative backlash, the show is still set to air.

 photo josephmichael.jpg

Fiennes will play the late Michael Jackson in a half-hour comedy special set to air on Sky TV entitled “Urban Myths,” formerly titled "Elizabeth, Michael, and Marlon."

"I'm a white, middle-class guy from London - I'm as shocked [about the casting] as you might be," Fiennes said. "It's a light comedy look. It's not in any way malicious. It's actually endearing. And the more I actually looked at Michael - it's great, as an actor, to have so much to copy and look at in interviews - the more I kind of fell in love with him."

The show will also star Brian Cox as Marlon Brando and Stockard Channing as Elizabeth Taylor. The premise: A comedy telling the story of how Michael, Marlon and Elizabeth all took a road trip together out of NYC to escape 9/11. Wait..what?

According to Vanity Fair, Elizabeth's friend Sam Kashner said in his book, Elizabeth Taylor’s Closing Act, that Liz told him this car trip actually happened. Apparently, Michael was having concerts at Madison Square Garden September 7th and September 10th, so he invited his friends Marlon and Liz to attend. Interesting.

Peep the trailer below:

Did he nail it?

"Urban Myths" premieres Januar 19th on the UK's Sky Arts.

Ugh! The tears are still trickling down since President Barack Obama wrapped up his farewell speech. And we weren’t the only ones in tears. Hollywood was also up in their feelings last night. Peep their reactions inside…

Last night was super emotional for many of us as President Barack Obama delivered his farewell speech to the nation where it all started: Chicago.

It’s hard to accept the fact that President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and the Obama Girls will no longer be in the White House. And we’re not the only ones having a hard time coming to terms with it.

Black Hollywood is also mourning POTUS leaving office and they reacted to his farewell speech on social media last night. Their reactions are just like ours. HEART.BROKEN.

Basketball Hall Of Famer Allen Iverson is coming out of retirement to play and coach in Ice Cube’s new BIG3 basketball league. Those deets, plus details on Jamie Foxx's newest gig inside….

 photo iversonb.jpg

Just when you thought Allen Iverson was done with basketball, he surprises us all with a new announcement.

Today, the retired NBA player announced he will be playing and coaching in Ice Cube’s newly formed BIG3 basketball league. Yep, arguably one of the biggest superstars in basketball is returning to the limelight, but in a different capacity.

 photo big1.png

Cube’s BIG3 League will feature recently-retired NBA players who still has some sauce left and want to play on a competitive level. The league will shine light on players like Kenyon Martin, Rashard Lewis, Mike Bibby, Roger Mason Jr. and more. The rapper said the league is an outlet for players who don’t quite make NBA guidelines, but don’t want to play overseas or work in league media.

The rap legend has partnered up with former NBA Players Association Deputy executive director Roger Mason Jr., who’s leaving his post, and other investors to help build the league.

According to NBC Sports, BIG3 will consist of eight teams with five players each (including an ex-player as coach as well as a team captain) that will duke it out on the court 3-on-3. The league is expected to kick off in late June and they will play for 10 weeks as they tour the country together. Fours games are expected to be played each week, in each location, which will feature a festival atmosphere with musical acts and entertainment.

A press conference to announce A.I.'s participation and what fans can expect from the league was held today:
