After months and months (it's been -- or felt like -- years overall, who are we fooling?) of campaigning from Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and Republican candidate Donald Trump, it’s finally time to cast your vote and have your voice heard.

This is arguably one of the most important and historic elections in our lifetime, so let's properly decide the best candidate to lead our country for the next four years

We’ve sat through countless debates between to the presidential hopefuls, now it’s time to have our voices heard. This is your American right and thousands before us fought for us to have this right.  Let's honor those who came before us, as well as ourselves, and get to the polls.

Remember, most polls close by 9p (some close earlier so PLEASE check your state's hours).  If you're in line by closing time, they MUST let you vote.  Don't back down, don't waiver, don't do ish but stand there and make sure you cast your ballot.  [NBC has a comprehensive 2016 Voter Guide with the phone number to the voter issue hotline (866-OUR-VOTE), do's, and don'ts].

It’s official! Prince Harry confirms he’s in a serious relationship with actress Meghan Markle. With the announcement, he shares he’s concerned about her safety and that the media has crossed the line! Details inside….

We told you Prince Harry had a new girlfriend. Now, it’s official.

Today, the 32-year-old British royal issued a statement to confirm he’s dating “Suits” actress Meghan Markle. But that’s not all he had to say. He went IN on the media and cyber bullies for harassing Meghan and her mother.

The prince reportedly instructed Kensington Palace to issue a one-page letter via his communications secretary, Jason Knauf, addressing his relationship and those spewing hate and racists comments. It reads:

"The past week has seen a line crossed. His girlfriend, Meghan Markle, has been subject to a wave of abuse and harassment. Some of this has been very public — the smear on the front page of a national newspaper; the racial undertones of comment pieces; and the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments."

Prince Harry fears for her safety and privacy now that everyone knows they’re in a relationship. So, he has issued security agents to keep Meghan and her mother safe. The letter continued:

"Some of it has been hidden from the public — the nightly legal battles to keep defamatory stories out of papers; her mother [Doria Ragland] having to struggle past photographers in order to get to her front door; the attempts of reporters and photographers to gain illegal entry to her home and the calls to police that followed."

“Prince Harry is worried about Ms. Markle’s safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her."

"It is not right that a few months into a relationship with him that Ms. Markle should be subjected to such a storm. He knows commentators will say this is 'the price she has to pay’ and that 'this is all part of the game'. He strongly disagrees. This is not a game — it is her life and his."

Several media outlets have written up stories with racial undertones. (FYI -Meghan’s mother is black and her father is white). Being that Meghan, 35, was born in L.A. and her mother wears dreadlocks, several media outlets have disrespectfully drawn up stories with harsh criticism.

By the way, the Royal Family issuing such a statement now allows for Meghan to be protected under the Family's secret security, this according to ABC News.

Prince Harry goes against the grain drawing up such a statement, but it’s definitely much needed. The letter concludes:

"He knows that it is unusual to issue a statement like this, but hopes that fair-minded people will understand why he has felt it necessary to speak publicly. “

That’s right Prince Harry! Clap back at the racist trolls who continue to spread their hate. Why won’t they let them live?!

R&B singer K. Michelle and “Empire” star Jussie Smollett hopped on the campaign trail on behalf of Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. The two singers trekked to HBCU Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina to speak to the students about the importance of social consciousness, social activism and exercising their right to vote.

It was an important stop as North Carolina is a swing state in this election.

K stopped to hold babies and chat it up with the students. Holding all of those babies certainly cause K to get the baby fever feels. On Instagram she captioned, "Can't wait! #babyfeverisreal."

She did say she wanted to start a family with her new boyfriend Dr. Sims.

The "Love Em All" singer made sure to stop for a cute pic with her sorors.

Chance The Rapper led hundreds of young people to an early voting site the night before this year’s election.

In an effort dubbed the “Parade to the Polls,” the Chi-town native lead concertgoers to cast their vote early last night after attending a free concert he headlined in Grant Park in support of Hillary Clinton in Chicago.

IT.WAS.EPIC.

According to ABC 7 Chicago, Cook County officials reported that early voting numbers have broken 2008 records, noting a 24% increase from 8 years ago. Nice!

Today is Election Day!

R&B singer Ashanti joined the ladies on “The Real” today (she's guest co-hosting all week) to share why voting is so important to her and everyone in her family.

The Grammy Award winner shares that her grandfather was side-by-side next to civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the famous march in Selma, Alabama in 1965. She opens up about how her grandfather was beaten as he marched on in an effort to change the laws so African-Americans could have the right to vote.

“My grandfather actually marched with Martin Luther King, [Jr.] and there’s a picture of him that we have in our house,” she shared. “He’s holding his shoes up with holes in them and there’s a whole article. They spat on him. They beat him. And he marched… down Selma for us to have that opportunity, you know what I mean? So that has always been instilled in my entire family. As soon as everyone turned 18, grandpa, go out there and do what you need to do.

Will Smith’s ex-wife Sheree Fletcher and his friend Charlie Mack are paying tribute to Will’s father, Willard Smith Sr., after his passing. More inside…

In sad news, it appears Will Smith’s father Willard Carroll Smith Sr. (above, left) has passed away. It's unclear how he passed away.

The Hollywood actor’s ex-wife Sheree Fletcher posted a tribute to Will’s dad reflecting on how much of a great man he was. She shared a photo of her son Trey Smith (Will, III) along with his dad and granddad:

What was meant to be a cute video of her son turned into a whirlwind of negative backlash.

Earlier today, budding actress Amber Rose posted a video of her 3-year-old son Sebastian (whom she shares with Wiz Khalifa) waiting to get a manicure and pedicure at the nail salon.

“Hey pumpkin, are you excited to get a pedicure and a manicure?,” the “How To Be A Bad B*tch” author asks her son. He happily responds, “Yeah.”

Amber commented that she and Wiz are raising Bash without having to worry about gender roles. In fact, Wiz wears nail polish himself.

In the clip, she continued, “It’s going to be so cool. What color are getting your nails?” Bash replies “Orange!” Then Amber says, “Orange, like a pumpkin. OK.”

She captioned the video, "Pumpkin nails with Mr Skully Bones #HalloweenisNeverOveratOurHouse We encourage our children to paint, draw and be creative so why block them from their creativity when it comes to self expression? Fuck society standards and gender roles! Let your children be great!"

Rihanna is busy shooting scenes for the upcoming Oceans 11 spin-off, Oceans Eight. Still donning her faux locs, the Bajan beauty joined actresses Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett to film new scenes for the all-female flick yesterday. 

We’re still not exactly sure what role RiRi will play in the film, but these new pics offer a little insight.

It appears Rihanna will star as some sort of tech savy character as she was spotted wearing a pair of headphones while sitting down on a bench with a laptop in her lap.

Today...

While Rih can’t vote in the presidential election today since she’s legally a citizen of Barbados, she showed up on the Oceans Eight repping for Hillary Clinton. She took a picture of herself wearing a Hillary Clinton t-shirt (that she wore last month) and made a new t-shirt with the logo, “I’m With Her. And Her” written across the front.

Rih also posted the picture above to her Instagram with the caption, "#VOTE bih." You heard her!

On the west coast...

A makeup-free Christina Milian was spotted taking a casual stroll through West Hollywood yesterday. The fresh face actress/singer, who stars in the new FOX series “Rocky Picture Horror Show,” donned a white Nike long-sleeved shirt, gray leggings and black sneakers for her outing.

The singer, who’s rumored to be dating Nick Cannon again, ran a few errands with her friend (above) before linking up with her bestie Karrueche (not pictured) at Wakano for lunch.

In a recent interview with TooFab, C-Milli dished on whether she wants her daughter Violet to follow in her footsteps and get into the entertainment business.

“Who knows!,” she said. “With me, I knew what I wanted early on and I wanted this from the early stages in my career. I think it’s all about the kids and helping build guidance for them and guiding them in the right direction without any pressure. Helping them recognize their dreams.”

She added, “If she wants to do it I’ll do it! I’ll go behind her and help her out, but we’ll take out time.

In gossip news...

Idris Elba was just romantically linked to Madonna (which he strongly denied). Now, the rumor mill claims he’s hooking up with supermodel Jourdan Dunn. But, we’re not totally sold on this rumor.

It appears this pic is what may have caused the rumors. The sexy actor was seen whispering in Jourdan’s ear backstage at the MTV EMAs on Sunday and is now trying to say they’re “hooking up.”

Sources tell Daily Mail the 44-year-old British actor seemed to be “very flirty” with the 26-year-old model at an MTV EMA afterparty in Rotterdam. They supposedly left the party at the wee hours in the morning holding hands. That could be true, but Idris has a type and model figures ain’t it. Just sayin…

Political commentator Van Jones perfectly articulated our feelings last night when much of America simply could not.  While the outcome of the 2016 election has much to do with racism, it's not the only reason why we now have a President Trump.  Still, the racial aspect should indeed be addressed.  See Van Jones' white-lash explanation inside...

Last night, as the election results became clear that the 45th president of the United States would very likely be Donald Trump, CNN commentator Van Jones broke down one of the pressing reasons behind the results. He explained on the talking-head panel:

"We've talked about everything but race tonight. This was a white lash against a changing country. It was a white lash against a black President in part. And that's the part where the pain comes. And Donald Trump has the responsibility tonight to come out and reassure people that he is going to be the President of the people he insulted and offended and brushed aside. When you say you want to take your country back, you've got a lot of people that feel they're not represented well either."

Preach!

He goes on to say he understands race is not the only issue at hand, but we agree in that it should not and can not be ignored.

Van also explained why it's hard to be a parent in America right now, since everything you teach your child not to be -- a man who exhibits the bullying and disgusting behavior you tell your kids not to do -- was just awarded the Presidency.

Rick Ross is speaking out about his tax woes. He owes $5.7 million in unpaid taxes, but Rozay says it’s a misunderstanding. Deets inside…

Rick Ross is in trouble with Uncle Tom.

According to reports, the MMG honcho (real name William Roberts II) owes the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) $5.7 million in back taxes from 2012 – 2014. He owes $4.6 million for 2012 and just over a half million in 2013 and 2014. A lien has been issued and if he doesn’t pay up soon he can reportedly face jail time.

Rozay and his team feel confident that the issue can be resolved, claiming that a former accountant did an “incorrect filing”. He issued a statement (via his rep) to address his IRS troubles saying:

"I've been fortunate enough to experience financial success on a large scale through both my music career and my many business ventures. With this type of financial success comes financial responsibility. As artists we are blessed to be able to make money, but on the same note, are held accountable for our federal tax obligations just like everyone else. I am fully aware of my current dealings with the IRS. “

He continued, “This issue arose from an incorrect filing by a prior accountant for the 2012 tax year. My new team of accountants have corrected the prior filing, and as anyone who has dealt with the IRS understands, it is a process. We have already satisfied a large portion of these issues and I can assure you that we are working very closely with the IRS to bring a full resolution shortly and will continue moving forward in a positive direction!"

Once his nemesis 50 Cent (who had his own share of finanical issues) got wind of his legal woes, he started his petty campaign on his Instagram page.

He did it again!

Michael Ealy and his wife Khatira Rafiqzada welcomed a baby girl under the radar. Yep, they’ve just expanded their family to a family of four.

Back in 2014, the “Secret and Lies” star and his wife welcomed their son, Elijah (now 4), under the radar. And they’ve successfully done it again. Michael and Kerry Washington certainly take the crowns for keeping their personal life private.

The Hollywood actor stops by the “Steve Harvey Show” today to reveal the big news. Michael and Steve have a dad-to-dad moment dishing on being fathers to their daughters.

Michael gushed,“I just discovered a whole new love. I’ve never, ever felt this way before. I was wondering if I could love another child as much as I love my son. What I realized within hours of my daughter being born was that not only do I love her just as much, if not more. It’s a special kind of protective love.”

Aww!

The 43-year-old star revealed he’s scared of the day his daughter will walk down the aisle to get married. He said if he’s blessed enough to experience that moment (his daughter getting married), he would be extremely grateful. He also pointed out that he has played several crazy characters that have prepared him to deal with the boys when his daughter starts dating. Ha!

To call the presidential election of 2016 a shocker would be an understatement! Now that it is over, here’s how Americans cast their vote by race gender and more inside.  It may shock you, or you may have expected exactly this scenario.

In arguably one of the biggest Presidential upsets in American history, Republican candidate Donald Trump has won the election and is now our president-elect. Yeah, it hurt to even type that, but it’s a fact. Not to mention, Congress will be run by the Republican party as they will keep control of the House and the Senate.

So how did we get here?

Well, for starters Trump nabbed a surprising 276 electoral votes. Throughout the night, it was a very tight race that kept us on the edge of our seats.  Many of the swing states were anywhere from .01% difference of a vote to 1% difference.

According to the breakdown of votes, Trump had A LOT of silent support.

Not surprisingly, 58% of white voters voted for Trump and 37% voted for Clinton. White voters make up 69% of the electorate, according to exit polls.

WHITE WOMEN voted 53% (some earlier reports originally said over 60%) for Trump and 43% for Clinton.

Hillary received 88% of the black vote.  And she also received about half of the millennial vote.

This statistic proves black people shouldn’t be solely blamed for the lost in the election, even though media has been trying to place some of the blame on African Americans. What’s shocking (or maybe not so shocking) is that so many white women still voted for Trump despite the ugly, sexist things he has said about women.  We have our thoughts on why this occurred, but that's neither here nor there now.

According to MSNBC, 49% of White voters with college degrees gave Trump  their vote, Clinton copped 45% of that group. Hmph.  As previously predicted, white voters with no college degree voted in droves for Trump -- to the tune of 67%.

29% of Latinos voted for Trump. Shocker.

Voters earning less than $50,000 a year gave Clinton 52% of their vote, while 41% of that group voted for Trump. Meanwhile, 49% of voters who earn more than $50,0000 year voted for Trump and 47% voted for Clinton.

So you see, Trump had several supporters who made their voice heard loud and clear at the polls.

Oh, but get this.

There are new reports that Hillary holds the popular vote over Trump with several “left-leaning” counties votes yet to be counted. As of Wednesday morning, according to the Washington Post, Clinton has 59,383,245 votes and Trump has 59,209,854.

As the election wrapped up, the 25-year-old immediately hopped on social media to celebrate Trump’s shocking victory. In so many words, she’s “proud as f**k”:

Of all people, one would think Colin Kapernick would have voted. But apparently, that’s not the case.

A reporter asked the San Francisco 49ers quarterback if he already voted or if he planned to vote later on Tuesday and he answered NO to both questions.

Yes, the same Colin who has launched a nationwide silent protest during the National Anthem to raise awareness to social injustices.

While we get he wasn’t a fan of either Trump or Clinton (like many were), we’re surprised he didn’t head to the polls to exercise his American right. A right people like him didn't have. A right his ancestors fought for HIM to have. Similar to the same rights he's fighting for today.

It’s just a bit mind boggling…especially when the solution to the issue he's fighting lies in the laws of the land that citizens VOTE for people to establish and uphold.

One time for the co-parenting skills!

Ne-Yo and Monyetta Shaw joined forces to celebrate their daughter Madilyn’s 6th birthday and their son Mason’s 5th birthday.  Ne-Yo’s new wife Crystal Renay and their son Shaffer Smith Jr. (SJ) were also in the mix to celebrate with the kids.

Looks like Crystal and Monyetta -- who have notoriously been at each other's throats all year -- played nice.

The R&B crooner and former “Atlanta Exes” star threw the joint party at Stars and Strikes bowling center in Atlanta over the weekend. The guests enjoyed bowling, laser tag and arcade games.

"The party was a success because our kids had a great time," Ne-Yo told US Weekly."That's what it's all about. No beef, no bad blood, no shade ... we are grown. This is what it looks like when grown-ups act like adults."

Well good for them.

Ever since the M’s were little, they’ve thrown joint parties for them since their birthdays are close together. (Madilyn’s birthday is November 12th and Mason’s birthday is October 9th). They said it’s easier to throw one big bash due to Ne-Yo’s busy schedule.

"Ever since the M's 2nd and 3rd birthday, Ne-Yo and I decided on a joint party for them because of dad's busy schedule and the fact that their birthdays are close," Monyetta revealed. "They actually love it because they are pretty much inseparable and BFFs. So we've made it our little tradition. ... It was important for us to throw their birthday party together, as we have before, to continue to set a positive example for our kids and to let them know that no matter what, they are loved and celebrated."

Blac Chyna is gearing up to give birth to her baby girl whom she will share with her fiancé Rob Kardashian. Chyna’s mom Tokyo Toni posted a video after her daughter picked her up from the airport in a new Rolls Royce.

Word on the curb is that Chyna will deliver her daughter via a planned c-section any day now.  And her mom has been popsting about being in town for the birth. Not only that, she will give birth in the same hospital suite as her soon-to-be sister-in-law Kim Kardashian West at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Oh, and it will be nothing short of amazing. Chyna and Rob have rented out a luxury hospital suit that’ll cost them a cool $4,000 a night.

President Obama attemted to heal the hearts and minds of America today during his first address to the nation since Trump's Presidential win.  Get it all inside, plus Hillary's concession speech and the telling words from Bernie Sanders.

After historic election night ratings to the tune of 71.4 million viewers, President Obama took it to the Rose Garden today to congratulate President Elect-Trump and to confirm he has invited him to the White House this Thursday to have their first meeting about transfer of power.

While Obama spoke, White House staffers were seen sobbing behind the cameras.  The White House Pool Report states:

At least 150 WH staffers came out to hear Obama speak. They lined up in the garden behind the press, listening intently. When he was done, they applauded for a solid minute, at least. Your pooler saw three staffers crying, and many others with closed eyes or staring up at the sky.

The mood here is somber and quiet. Your pooler asked one aide in tears what was going through her mind; she said “I’m just sad,” before walking away. When it was suggested to another aide that today was bittersweet, the aide replied, “I don’t know about sweet.”

Obama said during his speech:

Now, it is no secret that the President-elect and I have some pretty significant differences. But remember, eight years ago, President Bush and I had some pretty significant differences. But President Bush’s team could not have been more professional or more gracious in making sure we had a smooth transition so that we could hit the ground running. And one thing you realize quickly in this job is that the presidency, and the vice presidency, is bigger than any of us.

He spoke about his won team being emotional about the election outcome, and the words he told them:

So I have instructed my team to follow the example that President Bush’s team set eight years ago, and work as hard as we can to make sure that this is a successful transition for the President-elect -- because we are now all rooting for his success in uniting and leading the country. The peaceful transition of power is one of the hallmarks of our democracy. And over the next few months, we are going to show that to the world.

I also had a chance last night to speak with Secretary Clinton, and I just had a chance to hear her remarks. I could not be prouder of her. She has lived an extraordinary life of public service. She was a great First Lady. She was an outstanding senator for the state of New York. And she could not have been a better Secretary of State. I'm proud of her. A lot of Americans look up to her. Her candidacy and nomination was historic and sends a message to our daughters all across the country that they can achieve at the highest levels of politics. And I am absolutely confident that she and President Clinton will continue to do great work for people here in the United States and all around the world.

Hillary Clinton, who seemed to be pushing through behind much expected sad eyes, spoke about healing.  She also spoke about winning in another way -- with instilling the confidence in little girls to even try to shatter ceilings.  She did not give the speech at her Jacob Javitz Center party location last night in NY, but she did address the nation this morning:

Hillary's Democratic primary opponent Bernie Sanders also chimed in, threatening to oppose Donald if he does not uphold his end of the bargain:

“Donald Trump tapped into the anger of a declining middle class that is sick and tired of establishment economics, establishment politics and the establishment media. People are tired of working longer hours for lower wages, of seeing decent paying jobs go to China and other low-wage countries, of billionaires not paying any federal income taxes and of not being able to afford a college education for their kids - all while the very rich become much richer.

To the degree that Mr. Trump is serious about pursuing policies that improve the lives of working families in this country, I and other progressives are prepared to work with him. To the degree that he pursues racist, sexist, xenophobic and anti-environment policies, we will vigorously oppose him.”

Hollywood veteran Will Smith is back to work after reports that his dad Willard Carroll Smith Sr. passed away. The 48-year-old actor was spotted on set of Netflix’s upcoming fantasy film title Bright, a cop thriller with fantastical elements.

Ready to shoot his scenes, Will was dressed in a police officer uniform for his role as officer Scott Ward. Famed director David Ayer will helm the film. David also directed Suicide Squad that Will also starred in.

Bright follows a world where magical creatures live side by side with humans and the police have a division that handles crimes handles magic. Will’s character is forced to work with Orc (Joel Edgerton) to find something that unsavory elements are prepared to kill for – a powerful wand, according the THR.

Almost sounds like a Men In Black-esque film.

On the carpet, he was all smiles alongside his on-screen wife Gemma Arterton.

Killer Mike broke down this election in one of the best ways we've seen. He explains why poor white people have always felt they had a leg up on even the "best" black person because, racism. This caused them to rarely ever join with their black brothers and sisters to lobby and advocate for pay wage increases and other benefits of workers. They saw their savior as Trump, even though Trump has proven time and time again to value (and send his business to) the very undocumented and/or foreign workers that those same white workers have an issue with.

He sat down with Ashanti and the co-hosts of "The Real" to break it all down saying:

I think poor white people are mad because the system that promises you something based on that isn’t ever going to give you that…

I knew people were mad, mad enough to do things I hadn’t expected them to do. So I saw people who looked like me and you say they were voting Trump and that scared me….

“I didn’t vote for (George W.) Bush, but he was a good, honorable man with whom I had political differences, so I didn’t vote for him. I am disappointed, shocked and shaken at my core by what has transpired tonight. I gathered around the TV with my family and loved ones, ready to celebrate history being made. My daughter had this little blue dress on. I was ready to pop the Martinelli's and hold her, watching Hilary Clinton become the first female president of the United States of America. But...It didn't happen. I had a sick feeling in my gut, riddled with anxiety as the polls started coming in. After hours of a growing pit in my stomach, it was over. I left the TV, grabbed my daughter and took her to bed. But now, as I'm laying next to my her as she sleeps, I remember. Remember what I have control over and what I don't. I don't have control over Donald Trump becoming president. That has been decided. But what I do have control over is where I go from here. I will teach my daughter to love. All people, regardless of the color of their skin, gender, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or where their birth certificate says they're from. I will teach her how important it is to be an advocate for humanity. Not just the portion of humanity that benefits her. I will teach her non violent communication. That in the face of hatred we must love each other even harder. Not give in. Not get discouraged or feel like our progress in the past is void. Keeping fighting for all of us, with an emphasis on those that and have been the most affected by systemic oppression. I will teach her that when she is silent during moments of injustice, she is siding with the oppressor. I will teach her that walls divide people, and by their nature cannot bring us closer. And that just because someone holds the most powerful position in the world, does not make that person right, just or fair. Donald Trump is not raising my daughter. I am. Zendaya is in her prime and she doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. On top of being an actress, she’s making a name for herself in the fashion world (with her new clothing and shoe line) and she dabbles in the studio to bring some heat to the music scene.

Right now, she’s busy working on the acting wave as she shoots scenes for the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming where she’s the female lead. Yes, chick is ready to take over the silver screen in a major way.

For the cover of The Hollywood Reporter, the 20-year-old starlet served up some vintage Hollywood glam in a long sleeved chiffon gown, posing it up alongside co-star Tom Holland.

In the cover story, the super woke actress, who launched her new clothing line last week, claps back at those who have a problem with her playing a role in the superhero film because of her race. Some folks are up-in-arms because they believe Daya will be starring as Mary Jane. But, that may not even be the case.

“People are going to react over anything,” Daya responded. “But nothing [about who she is playing] is fact. It's like, you guys are just making shit up at this point and then reacting to it. Whenever we were on set, one of us gets some random character name [on the call sheet]. [Bloggers were] like, ‘Oh they must be so and so.’ And we just crack up about it, because it's like, ‘Whatever you want to think. You'll find out.’ It's funny to watch the guessing game. But of course there's going to be outrage over that because for some reason some people just aren't ready. I'm like, ‘I don't know what America you live in, but from what I see when I walk outside my streets of New York right now, I see lots of diversity and I see the real world and it's beautiful, and that's what should be reflected and that's what is reflected so you're just going to have to get over it.’

YES Daya, they will DEAL.

She gave a little insight about her character and whether she will be romantically involved with Peter Parker. She said:

“No [laughs]. My character is not romantic. My character is like very dry, awkward, intellectual and because she's so smart, she just feels like she doesn't need to talk to people, like ‘My brain is so far ahead of you that you're just not really on my level.’ So she comes off very weird. But to me, she is very cool because she's deep. She's always thinking about something, always reading. I like that. And I also like that I don't really have to do anything for hair and makeup. I just get to walk in and walk out.”

The “wise before her time” young adult also talked about turning her SnapChat into a much-needed African-American History class:

“I like to post selfies and fun things that I'm working on. But recently my Snapchat has become like a history class. I have become an African-American history professor. I thought, ‘People are going to be so irritated.’ A lot of kids don't even learn some of this stuff in school. Like how is it that some of my fans are learning more about black history on my Snapchat in second increments than in school? I feel like if you have a platform, it's your obligation to talk about how you feel. To me there's no excuse to be ignorant anymore. Everything is at your fingertips. You can't pretend like you're not seeing innocent black men being killed. We have videos, and they're circulating all over the internet. Or you can't pretend you're not understanding things about politics or hearing what people are saying who are our presidential candidates. It's an interesting time. And I feel like it's allowing us millennials to really take over.”

That's right. Take them to school Daya!
