First Lady Michelle Obama is no stranger to hard work, especially when it comes to harvesting fresh fruits and vegetables.

Yesterday, FLOTUS invited students to the White House for a harvesting event of the White House Kitchen Garden on the South Lawn. The garden was started by FLOTUS back in 2009 because we all know she’s all about healthy eating. Fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden found its way on china plates at State Dinners and even local soup shops.

Rolling up her sleeves and getting dirty, FLOTUS joined the students in the garden to pull fresh greens from the garden. And her husband President Barack Obama was right by her side.  They just celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary this week too!

Hey Alonzo Mourning!

If you thought Michelle’s garden would disappear after she and her husband leaves the White House, guess again. It is now a permanent feature on the White House grounds.

According to NPR, the W. Atlee Burpee home gardening company and The Burpee Foundation have contributed $2.5 million to the National Park Foundation to maintain the garden for at least 17 years. Woot!

Along with the kiddies, Mrs. Obama also invited everyone who helped with her Let's Move! initiative that she launched in 2010 in an effort to get kids to exercise more and eat healthier meals.

R&B singer Ashanti was sitting pretty in a super cute flirty black frock.

The songstress launched her "Drink Up Ashanti" campaign to encourage folks to drink more water in partnership with the Let's Move! campaign.

She had some fun making SnapChat videos with some of the students at the event. Fun times. 

BONUS:

Yesterday, President Obama granted clemency to another 102 individuals all serving long prison sentences for nonviolent drug offenses. Most of prisoners are in jail for conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute.

For all the haters you can see things are still going strong in their marriage despite what folks were saying when Beyonce dropped her LEMONADE visual album. YBF actress Tika Sumpter, who’s currently expecting a baby girl, just nabbed a new gig and she’s playing a mayor of a major city. The Southside with You actress has joined the cast of a CBS drama titled, “The 313.”

Written by Tracy McMillan ("Satisfaction," "Mad Men") and produced by Michael London, “The 313” (which is Detroit’s area code) is about a sex scandal that brings down the current administration, according to Deadline. A 29-year-old female City Council President (Tika Sumpter’s character) suddenly becomes the Mayor of Detroit and has to figure ish out after every goes array.

Sounds interesting. We’ll keep you posted when more details emerge.

Now that Diddy has wrapped up his Bad Boy Reunion Tour, he has time for his lady Cassie.

You’ll recall, the twosome hit a rough patch in their relationship when a huge argument resulted in the cops being called to Cassie’s home. They eventually hashed out their problems, got back together and the Hip Hop mogul threw her a huge celebrity birthday bash to celebrate her 30th birthday. And they’ve been rocking it out together ever since.

Yezzy’s back on the road!

Kanye West, above in SoHo recently, returned to his hometown of Chicago last night to resume his PABLO Tour at the United Center. He hit the stage for the first time since his wife Kim Kardashian West was robbed at gunpoint by five men dress as police officers in Paris while thieves took over $10 million in jewelry. He ended up having to reschedule two of his PABLO dates to be with his wife.

Normally outspoken, the 39-year-old rapper hardly said anything during his scheduled appearance. He didn’t address the robbery, nor did he say how his wife is doing. Yeezy didn’t say much of anything except, “It’s good to be home.”

Proving the show must still go on, Ye rocked out during his set as he floated over eager concertgoers to perform his catalog of hits.

As for an update on the Kim robbery...

The hotel concierge, who was allegedly held at gunpoint and led robbers to Kim, has reportedly published an open letter to Mrs. West.

He wrote the letter for French celebrity magazine Closer where he said,“Dear Kim: When you feel the cold steel of a gun at your neck, it is the moment when remaining calm can mean the difference of life or death, both our lives. I hope you are feeling better.”

This is the guy Kim told police remained strangely calm as she was being robbed. Police are still baffled at how easily he was able to guide the robbers to Kim's luxury bedroom.

Rapper/actor T.I. will be bringing his talents to VH1’s new Hip Hop series “The Breaks.”

Donning a tailored suit, the “DOPE” rapper was spotted shooting scenes in Manhattan with actor Wood Harris. Tip and Wood also starred in Ant-Man together. After shooting his scenes, Tip made his way to the MetLife Stadium in NJ to perform at Beyonce's last FORMATION World Tour stop.

Rounding out "The Breaks" cast is Teyana Taylor (who will star in a recurring role), “90210” star Mack Wilds, lead star Afton Williamson, “Power” star Sinqua Walls, “Ballers” star Antoine Harris, “The Magicians” actor David Call and “Sex & The City” star Evan Handler. It's expected to premiere in January 2017.

"Power" season 3 just wrapped up and production for the next season is already underway!

LaLa Anthony was spotted reading her script while showing off her abs in a black crop top as she walked on set in NYC.

Her co-star Joseph Sikora joined her to shoot a scene together. On the show, LaLa's character Keshia vanishes after we see Tommy enter her salon.  Did Tommy kill Keisha? Ahhh..we're itching to know!

New York Jets safety Marcus Gilchrist pulled off the perfect proposal. He took his girlfriend/mother of his daughter to see Beyonce’s final FORMATION World Tour concert at MetLife Stadium (where the Jets play) in New Jersey Friday night.

After the show, he jetted to the locker room to ask his woman for her hand in marriage. He had it all planned out too. The NFLer stood inside of a heart of rose petals as Nicole surprisingly walked in. She joined him inside the heart and he got down on one knee to ask her to marry him. Of course she said YES!

Blac Chyna is due to have a baby girl soon, but that’s not slowing her down any.

Yesterday, the reality star met up with her mom Tokyo Toni to spend some quality mother-daughter time on Toni’s birthday.

They were spotted riding through L.A. with Chyna behind the wheel of her purple Huracan Lamborghini that was gifted to her by her fiance Rob Kardashian.

After hanging out with mom....

Chyna and Rob took Chyna's son King Cairo to a petting zoo where he had loads of fun feeding and petting all of the animals.

He even got a chance to ride a pony.

Rob wasn't feeling Chyna using the head flower filter.  Ha! Looks like these two have put their issues behind them and are continuing to move forwrd with their relationship. Just a few more weeks before their new bundle of joy makes her arrival.

It's almost time for Adrienne Bailon and Israel Houghton to trek down the aisle to say "I Do." But before they head down the aisle, the happy couple celebrated their love with friends.

Yesterday, Adrienne and Israel were seen arriving at The Fig & Olive restaurant in West Hollywood to party it up at their wedding shower with friends.

It was a total celebration to champion their love for one another and to celebrate the beginning of their new life together.

The bride-to-be flossed her curves in a white lace midi dress paired with nude sandals for the special occasion. Werk!

Israel isn’t the only person in his family jumping the broom. His daughter Mariah Houghton recently married her love Byron Rideau in a beautiful wedding ceremony.

There were reports that Tamar Braxton and her husband Vince Herbert were involved in another domestic dispute, following the incident that went down in Atlantaearlier this year. It was reported by the Daily Mail that a few months ago, Tamar and Vince got into a heated argument that resulted in Tamar’s sister Toni Braxton calling the police to their Calabasas home.

Well, they seem to have kissed and made up from that incident. The Herbets stepped out for dinner with friends at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills last night. And there was a special theme for the dinner. Everyone had to dress up as their favorite Toni Braxton look.

Tamar explained on Instagram, "No that's not @tonibraxton last night we all dressed up as our fav Toni Braxton living legend look.... "Listen girl" #hewasntmanenoughforme I think I did pretty good...do I look like her?"

Did she nail it?!

Sounds like the family got up to spend some time with Toni following her recent health scare. Toni was scheduled to hit the stage on Oct. 8th in Oakland and Oct. 9th in L.A., but those dates have been postponed until Jan. 28th & 29th. She has been released from the hospital and reportedly doing well.

Shonda Rhimes hit up Twitter to express her disgust over Donald Trump’s sexist comments about women. Former "Grey's Anatomy" star Eric Dane jumped in and things got awkward. Peep their exchange inside…

Y’all know #TGIT creator Shonda Rhimes doesn’t hold her tongue when it comes to speaking out for women’s rights. So, it was no surprise to see the “Grey’s Anatomy” showrunner expressing her disgust over the lewd comments about women made by presidential hopeful Donald Trump in a leaked video from 2005.

Shonda tweeted her frustrations over men not condoning Trump simply because that they have wives and daughters. What’s wrong is wrong and she wants men to admit that. She tweeted:

For whatever reason, former Grey’s Anatomy star Eric Dane, who quit the hit ABC series in 2012, responded to his former boss' tweet in a bizarre way. He fired off:

Shonda simply responded, "Um?" Yeah, we're just as confused.

Later, Eric came back to Twitter to clear the air. He has no issues with Shonda and in fact agrees with what she was saying:

Then, Shonda responded to Eric's clarification tweet saying:

Solange brought a new vibe to the music scene with the release of her third studio album A Seat At The Table. The album was years in the making, but Solo unleashed it for the masses on September 30th and since then, she has been praised by her peers (including her big sister Beyonce) for creating a great body of work.

On Friday, the soulful songstress, decked out in a coral pleated gown, invited her friends to pull up “a seat at the table” at a listening party in New Orleans. The night was filled with Solo’s newest tunes as guests mellowed out and conversed with one another about the new LP. Solange’s Saint Heron team was on the scene to celebrate.

Since its release, A Seat at the Table jumped to the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200. And get this, for the first time ever, Solo and Beyonce have albums on the Billboard 200 list. In fact, it’s reportedly the first time sisters have appeared on the list together. #BlackGirlMagic

Several YBF legends made their way to the 2016 Carousel Of Hope Ball held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel yesterday to honor individuals who have made significant contributions in the fight against the disease.

EMMY winner Regina King (who won the Outstanding Supporting Actress Award in 2015 and 2016) was front and center in a purple and gown for the festivities.

R&B singer-songwriter Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, who was recently voted off "Dancing With The Stars," brought his fiancee Nicole Pantenburg along as his date to honor the legends.

Hollywood veteran Samuel L. Jackson and his wife LaTanya Richardson was all smiles on the carpet.

Dr. Dre has lawyered up and he’s ready to take Sony to court if they release Michel’le’s upcoming biopic that shows him beating the R&B singer to a pulp. Get the deets inside…

With less than five days before the premiere of Michel’le’s LIFETIME biopic, her ex Dr. Dre is issuing threats to keep the movie from seeing the light of day.

Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le is the TV film that will take viewers inside the life of R&B singer/former reality star Michel’le. She has always been vocal about her ex/son’s father Dr. Dre being abusive towards her in the past. And the movie will share all the grimy details. In the movie, Dre is a monster, punching Michel’le in the face and even pulling a gun out on her.

But, Dre isn’t having it.

Dre’s legal team fired off a cease and desist letter to Sony demanding they pull the film. And if they decide to show it anyway, Dre is taking them to court.  And we all know he will follow through on that ish.

In the letter, Dre reportedly DENIES ever abusing Michel’le when they dated 30 years ago. He said she never hinted at abuse or violent behavior from him, she never sought medical attention from the abuse and she never filed a police report. So basically, he’s saying it her word against his.

Last year, after much backlash for how Straight Outta Compton left out Dre's reported abusive behavior, he issued an apology to "all the women he hurt."

Dre’s legal team also issued a warning to Michel’le as well.  But we doubt the singer is scared.  She did an interview on "Wendy Williams" not too long ago and she said if Dre were to try to sue her, she would welcome it. She said depositions would have to be made (by her, him and friends) and that’s when the truth would come out.

This could get ugly.

Tristan Thompson’s ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig celebrated her son’s upcoming arrival with her cousin Eniko Hart and family at her baby shower yesterday. Now, folks are wondering did Tristan leave his PREGNANT girlfriend for Khloe Kardashian? Tea inside….

Cleveland Cavaliers baller Tristan Thompson has been spending much of his free time with his new main squeeze Khloe Kardashian. He allegedly left his girlfriend Jordan Craig for Khloe, but it was (loosely) kept under wraps Jordan is expecting, until now.

Yesterday, Jordan celebrated the upcoming arrival of her son, whom she's naming Oliver, alongside her family and friends, including her cousin Eniko Hart.

The mom-to-be glowed in a glittery gold and chiffon gown as she beamed with joy at the intimate shower before changing into simple white maxi dress.

Eniko posted the group pic above with the caption:

It runs in the family. Hmm...is she dropping a baby hint of her own? Time will tell...

Now, sources say Tristan and Khloe actually met at Kevin Hart and Eniko’s wedding in August 2016. It's said Jordan was WITH Tristan at the wedding and pregnant at the time (she wasn’t quite showing yet). You’ll recall, rumors about Tristan and Khloe dating started popping up in September 2016, so it’s very possible that’s where the two met. Quite shady.

We also know Kevin and Eniko are friends with Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian West, which may be why Khloe -- who was on a past episode of "Real HUsbands of Hollywood -- was at the wedding. Back in July, Kev appeared on Kim’s SnapChat one Sunday as they ate a “soul food” meal together with Terrence J, his girlfriend Jasmine Sanders and more.

It's still unclear if Jordan's baby is actually Tristan's as Jordan hasn't specifically said it, but we're going to go with yeah...he is. Especially if they were together and a couple at the wedding just a couple months ago.  He certainly is ON ONE for leaving his pregnant girlfriend for another chick.  The fact said other chick makes more rounds with very taken men than a little bit is the icing on the cake.

Lupita Nyong’o and Aja Namoi King are two of Hollywood’s “IT” women nabbing a spot on ELLE’s “Women In Hollywood” list. And we couldn't agree more.  Go inside to peep their covers and more….

It’s that time of year again when ELLE magazine honors the hard working women in Hollywood. And this year, YBF chicks Lupita Nyong’o and Aja Naomi King are taking over the prestigious list.

Heating up the magazine circuit, Lupita and Aja floss that flawless melanin on each of their respective covers for the Women In Hollywood issue for the first time. It’s SO refreshing to see two YBF actresses gracing the cover of magazines like ELLE, take over the box office AND kill it on the television circuit.

The Oscar winning actress looked amazing in an embellished Dolce & Gabbana jumpsuit, while the Birth of a Nation star kept it cute in a polka dotted Calvin Klein Collection dress.

Inside, Lupita opened up about using her platform to show little girls everywhere you can have dark skin and STILL make it in Hollywood. She said, “I grew up with a very limited mirror of myself. I watched a lot of TV, but the people on it were always light skinned. And now I have a platform that takes me into people's houses and onto the pages of their magazines."

Yes, little YBF girls can look to Lupita and see ANYTHING is possible!  That's what matters.

We've pretty much been obsessed with Aja Naomi King since she first graced our screens on "How To Get Away With Murder."  Now the rest of the world is catching on to this bad YBF chick.

Many actresses go beyond being just in front of the camera. They also go behind-the-scene to tell the stories they want to share with the world. And that’s what cover girl Aja would like to do.

She told ELLE,"I want to write, I want to direct, I want to produce—I want to inhabit what I think it means to fully be an artist. I always wanted to do that, but I didn't think I had the tools. Now I look at Viola [Davis] and I look at Nate [Parker] and I look at Shonda [Rhimes] and it's like, You just do it. You just begin, you know?"

Alicia Keys said she was going to take over Times Square. And that’s exactly what she did last night.

Still makeup-less and full of positive vibes, the multi-Grammy Award winning singer took center stage in the middle of the Big Apple to perform her catalog of hits (along with a few new tracks) in celebration of her upcoming studio album Here, set to drop on Nov. 4th.

The R&B sonsgtress performed "If I Ain't Got You'", "No One," "Fallin'," "You Don't Know My Name," "In Common," and new songs from her upcoming album including "Holy War," "She Don't Really Care," and her new single "Blended Family" (What You Do For Love)" featuring A$AP Rocky.

As you all know, Alicia has been on the women empowerment wave for years. She recently dropped a new track from her LP titled "Blended Family (What We Do For Love)" where she salutes her blended family with her husband Swizz Beatz. Alicia and Swizz's ex-wife/son's mother Mashonda even joined forces for the video treatment. 

During her performance, Alicia took a moment to address Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump’s sexist comments he said about grabbing a woman by her “p****” in a leaked video from 2005. Alicia didn’t have many words…just one gesture!

Hip Hop mogul Jay Z graced the stage with his presence to perform “Empire State of Mind.” And y’all know the crowd lost it.

Sexy Nas popped up on stage for a duet of "One Love" and "She Don't Really Care."

Q-Tip duetted with Alicia on "You Don't Know My Name."

Alicia brought out singer John Mayer for a mash up of "If I Ain't Got You" and his song "Gravity" with Questlove playing the drums.

For the encore, Alicia celebrated the music and activism of John Lennon in honor of his birthday. Times Square was illuminated with social justice messages in the style of Lennon's iconic "War Is Over!" visual across the giant digital billboards.

And of course..

Her hubby Swizz Beatz and their kids were in the audience.

Peter Gunz rounded up several of his baby mamas’ (including frenemies Amina Buddafly and Tara Wallace) along with their kids for a family reunion of sorts. Go inside to peep their blended family pics, plus Big Sean and Jhene Aiko shutting down break up rumors inside…

Well this is interesting to say the least.

It appears “Love & Hip Hop: New York” star Peter Gunz has been listening to Alicia Keys’ new track “Blended Family.” Yesterday, the former rapper posted up a series of pics on his Instagram page of his blended family with four of six of his babies' mamas, including his “LAHH” co-stars Amina Buddafly (his current wife) and Tara Wallace.

The father-of-10 (yes, 10) united his huge family at Latin & Soul restaurant Get Soul in NYC for a Sunday Funday. And we hear, the cameras were rolling to capture all of their special moments for the reality show. He posted up the flick of his children’s mothers with the caption:

“Not that I'm the best dad it's that they have the best Moms !! 4 of the Beautiful mothers of my Kings and Queens...”

Oh.

Some will saying "Oh, how mature of them to do this."  Others will say a litany of curse words before saying 'Nah.'

It looks like they may have met on more than once occasion as Amina and Gina seem to be wearing different outfits and their hair is different. Either way, they were all gathered together at some point.

We just hope he isn't trying to do a reality show spinoff.  We've seen THAT concept try to launch, and fail. 

In another shot, Amina is seen holding her daughter Cori while Gina, who is the mother of Peter's son Brandon, cradles baby Bronx who was born back in August.  Gotta love a switcheroo pic...

Peter also posted a picture of Amina holding Tara's son Gunner, who was born in February of this year, shot by Tara. He first posted the picture with the caption, "World Tour and Baby Gunner... bliss."

Folks started sounding off in his comments section, mostly with judgemental opinions. Peter then posted the picture again, lashing out at all the haters captioning, "Sad how people talk shit about a photo that @iamtarawallace took... My kids will know and love one another as long as I'm alive no matter how adults feel about one another or me for that matter... love is in the air don't hate on it embrace it.. goodnight world"

There has also been rumors that Tara could possibly be pregnant AGAIN with Peter's baby. With these folks, you just never know.

In coupledom news....

Looks like Big Sean and Jhene Aiko (aka TWENTY 88) are still going strong, despite recent rumors that said the two had called it quits. The rumor mill claimed Sean and Jhene broke up after she caught him cheating with an Instagram model.

But, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Over the weekend, the “Souled Out” songstress joined the Detroit native in Las Vegas for a show at Drai’s. Pics of the twosome all snuggled up together popped up on social media as they took the stage:

Jhene hopped on a private jet to party it up with Big Sean for his brother's birthday and he seemed happy that she came out, posting a picture of her smirking on his SnapChat.

Nate Parker’s Birth of a Nation debuted in theaters this weekend.  Unsurprisingly, there are conflicting reports on whether the slave revolt film bombed at the box office or not. Decide for yourself inside…

Birth of a Nation, the slave revolt film about Nat Turner, finally hit the box office this weekend after much anticipation.

It was the film everyone was talking about after Fox Searchlight acquired the film during the Sundance Film Festival with a record-breaking $17.5 million deal. But, the Nate Parker scandal shadowed the film when a 17-year-old rape case (that Nate was acquitted of) resurfaced.

Birth of a Nation ended the weekend raking in an estimated $7.1 million in the U.S. and Canada, placing at No.6.  While some outlets wasted no time calling it a flop, that actually isn't the case based on the expectations.

It’s being reported the studio had hoped to bring in at least $10 million, but Fox Searchlight’s senior vice president of domestic distribution Frank Rodriguez seems pleased with the turn out, especially since Hurricane Matthew shut down a significant number of theaters over the weekend.

“A ‘disappointment’ would’ve been if we came in with $5.8 million or $6.1 million,” he said.

Just a quick search on Google, you’ll see plenty of headlines saying the movie BOMBED at the box office. That’s a bit of a stretch. While it didn’t do as well as it possibly could have done, it definitely didn’t bomb. Analysts projected it would bring in $7 million to $9 million, so it would likely depend on who was reporting how it did at the box office on whether it performed well or not.

Seems like it fell in right in the middle. Do you think Nate’s rape case had anything to do with the box office numbers? Or, do you think this would have been the turnout without either of the above?

The stunning Oscar winner slayed in a rainbow bustier and baby blue lunchbag pants from Rosie Assoulin’s Resort 2017 collection.

The flawlessness that is Lupita stopped to greet fans and sign autographs and then snapped it up with her co-star David Oyelowo:

David's wife Jessica Oyelowo and their kids hit the carpet with the YBF actor to show support.

He also greeted fans, snapping selfies and engaging in small talk:

The American Music Award nominations were announced yesterday morning via livestream, and Drizzy, who kicks off his Euro leg of his tour in January, is making headlines for leading the pack with 13 nominations.  It sets a new AMA record for most nominations in a single year, surpassing Michael Jackson’s previous record of 11 nominations in 1984.  Sheesh!  This guy is playing no games.

He's not the only one taking over.  His on again off again boo Rihanna copped seven nominations while Beyoncé nabbed four.  Bryson Tiller, our trapsoul crush, Fetty Wap and The Weeknd earned three nominations each.

The Artist of the Year category is a beasty one -- Adele, Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Drake, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Twenty One Pilots, Carrie Underwood and The Weeknd.  The winner will be chosen from fan vote.
