Don't worry about where Erykah Badu's baby daddy Jay Electronica's next meal is coming from. Word has it that he has landed a rich heiress and is allegedly the cause of her divorce! Deets inside....

Popular indie-rapper Jay Electronica (aka one of Erykah Badu's three rapper baby daddies) is caught up in the international gossip mill as the rumored cause of the pending divorce of uber-rich heiress Kate Goldsmith and her husband Jimmy.

Kate, an heir to the Rothschild banking dynasty, was allegedly confronted by her husband recently after he found intimate texts between she and Jay.  A source close to the couple said, 

‘Ben is heartbroken, devastated and thoroughly miserable,’ a friend of the couple said. ‘He suspected Kate was cheating on him because she has been behaving increasingly erratically for some time.

‘She is obsessed with this chap called Jay Electronica who is one of her clients. She is always on the phone to him and out with him until four or five in the morning most nights. Sometimes she even stays with him.

‘Ben was paranoid about their friendship months ago, but when he confronted her about an affair earlier this year she denied it.
‘Then last week he found a series of texts and email messages. They were very intense messages planning sexual liaisons."

Jimmy recently spoke out saying, ‘I’m pretty shell-shocked by everything. All I am thinking about now is my children.’

Jay, who last tweeted a photo of Kate on May 21 saying, "@KateRoundtable, at the Watch The Helicopter tour," has not spoken out about the alleged affair. 

But if his tweets are any indication, something may be going on as he said recently, #LoveIsOnTheWay.

Actress Niecy Nash has lots to celebrate!  Not only does the fab & funny chick have her own reality show and is she the new star of the upcoming TV Land sitcom "The Soul Man," but she recently celebrated her 1 year anniversary with her hubby Jay.

Lauryn Hill made a surprise appearance at Summer Jam 2012 over the weekend. See pics and video inside and find out what L Boogie said about never being scheduled to perform with Nicki Minaj.

While rap icon Lauryn Hill was said to be performing with Nicki Minaj (according to Nicki's tweets( during Summer Jam 2012 before her cancellation, Lauryn actually hit the stage with Nas during his set.  She took the crowd through verses of “Ready or Not," and “Lost Ones” before ending with Nas on “If I Ruled the World.”

And when asked about performing with Nicki....Lauryn was just as surprised as anyone else since she never had plans to do so!  But she did say she respected Nicki's decision to not perform.

She posted to her twitter today, 

No disrespect to Nicki, but I need to clear up an inaccuracy. I was not scheduled to be a special guest on her set at Summer Jam, I was invited by Nas to perform with him. I don't have details on exactly what transpired between the station and the artists, but I do support artists standing by their beliefs, and walking with integrity. We have to find a better way to commercially exploit music, while giving artists their proper respect. This cannot be done while taking their contributions for granted, or trying to control the scope of their growth and power through threats and fear tactics. We can do better than this, there is a better way, or else 'we' (the proverbial we) find ourselves in danger of being hypocrites!!!

Sexy actor Mehcad Brooks returns to the small screen on USA's "Necessary Roughness" this week.  See his new promo pics and find out what he said during his interview on "The Talk"....

If you fell in love with Mehcad Brooks' "TK" star NFL character on USA's "Necessary Roughness" last season, the actor is gearing up for season 2 starting Wednesday.

He recently spoke about his role saying, "TK and I are really different. Like he, he’s not even a dude I would hang out with. Tell you the truth. But I’ve known guys like that and it’s just about really you know, taking five minutes to believe your hype... There’s no boundaries, you’re put on a pedestal by society, so that means you’re above the societal mirror which means you can’t even really look at yourself in a realistic light."

He added, "TK is actually based on Keyshawn Johnson, who I don’t know from a can of paint. So, I based it on other guys that I know in the league... And I based it on my dad who was a wide receiver in the 70’s and 80’s... and then also based some of it on myself in my young 20’s. Like you know, what if I had 85 million dollars and I was that stupid?"

The show promises more sexiness from the lovable "football player with issues" and lots of pecs.

And earlier today, Mehcad stopped by CBS' "The Talk" to promote the show and talk about his "True Blood" stint.  He revealed that some fans used to ask him to "bite" them like his vampire character did on the show.  Then he joking revealed, "I actually did bite a lady in New York!"  Lucky her......

He also talked about his humble beginnings waiting tables and said you should be nice to everyone on your way up the ladder because you never know where people will end up.

"I added one vegetable to each meal with my diet for awhile -- but then I went right back to eating McDonald's and pasta and stuff like that too! So really its just having a balance of eating great and staying hydrated."

The drama came to a head tonight on Funkmaster Flex's Hot 97 show as Nicki Minaj called in guns a-blazing to discuss Sunday night's Summer Jam debacle.  Flex dropped a few bombs about not understanding why she's under Lil Wayne's spell and allowed him to control whether she would perform.  Nicki maintained that neither Flex nor Rosenberg should have disrespected her on a worldwide platform as she was the only woman on the 2012 Summer Jam bill....

The most telling exchange between the extremely heated discussion was Nicki expressing why she felt she was disrespected while Flex maintained it had nothing to do with disrespect.  Only opinion. And she should have performed anyway as the fans were the only people let down.

Nicki: "My fans at Summer Jam didn't appreciate his comments, nor did my fans watching the live stream appreciate those comments. This wasn't just about the 2000 people there. This was being live streamed to the world."

Flex: "I get it. Maybe that wasn't the best time to make that comment before you touch the stage. But that is what Rosenberg said and that's his opinion."

Nicki: "It's not about his opinion. I have opinions about DJs about Hot 97 and Hot 97. But I would never come on your stage about your fans before. I've traveled all around the world and people come with 1 agenda--and that's to have a good time. Not to have their favorite artist be ridiculed. When you invite someone to their home you treat them with respect."
 

Before the Barb flipped her wig even more, she responded to folks who said she was simply scared to go on stage after the diss:

"I am not a quitter," Nicki screamed.  "I don't back down from anything--including when people talk about me. Wayne gave me a valuable lesson last night about knowing their worth. After that disrespect, after a man goes on stage and disrespects me and calls my music bullshit and says this isn't real hip hop--I still was going on stage. SHAME ON ME. Wayne Tweeted before he called me and said Nic, we not doing that."

Flex maintained that the diss was not about women and she should have performed anyway. "I believe the show should have happened.."Wayne and Khaled and Wayne should have performed. Why couldn't you go against him and touch the stage?"

Nicki responded, "I don't go against the president of my label. before I had you or radio, I had Wayne. When Wayne says we as a Team ain't going on that stage, then I'm not going on that stage. I stand behind his decision. Because as a woman, it doesn't matter what people say about you, but when you put in work--I put in my work--those jokes shouldn't have been said…..Why aren't you addressing Wayne?"

Flex said he's not scared of Wayne and Flex shed some light to the listeners on his personal relationship with Nicki that goes way back.  He said he never had to go through Wayne to get to her. "You always were independent and used to come up to the stations years ago. I've never known you to be a person to move under Lil Wayne. Why couldn't we resolve this from 4p when this first started to 9p--in 5 hours? That's the first time we've ever talked and Wayne over ruled you."

Nicki maintained: "For [Rosenberg] to single out the only female on the bill? That was some bitch ass shit. If you a man, then go up there and talk about a man. If all you do is take shots at women…First of all you don't know me."

"I'm not saying you went at me because I was a woman, I'm saying you shouldn't have dissed me BECAUSE I'm a woman. I'm the only female representing on the Summer Jam Stage. You don't see the big difference?"

Flex asked, "Did Lil Wayne make the right decision in pulling Young Money off the stage?"  Nicki didn't say yes or no, but did spell out R-E-S-P-E-C-T.  But she did say she was happy that Foxy Brown was by her side as a sister all night.

Flex spoke on Rosenberg's behalf (why Nicki couldn't talk to Rosenberg directly is beyond me) saying he wasn't attacking her or her albums, but he simply had an opinion about not feeling the one record in comparison to the rest of them.

"Do you know where I've performed at?  Where I used to perform 4 nights a week. I had 200 people rolling with me.  There isn't a b*tch alive who God has created on this earth who could scare me out of performing.  I get money!"

She went on about being #1 in four countries.  And having 3.5 mill records sold total (both of her albums together and calculating in singles in some way she tried to explain).  She explained this is why she has to go beyond "the hood" and make pop records.  Even if people don't like it.

She also mentioned she'll be doing a free show for her fans this summer.  But Flex maintained Hot 97 may have been at fault last night--and egos were involved--but Young Money was at fault too.  And the people are who suffered since they didn't see Nicki, Khaled, and everyone else at Summer Jam.

As reality stars Chad Ochocinco and Evelyn Lozada film them wedding show "Ev & Ocho," producers have hit a snag since the fanciest hotels in Miami have all rejected the couple, according to TMZ.  

Places like the St. Regis, The Ritz and Breakers have all rejected the couples' request to host wedding festivities for fear of fighting, drinking tossing and putting a poor reflection on their establishments.  Womp Womp.

Perhaps the hotel owners didn't watch the "BBW" Reunion last night and see that Ev is trying to become "a better example."

Rumor has it that Kim Zolciak's landlord, Kendra Davis, is evicting her from the McMansion she's renting for her "Don't Be Tardy for the Wedding" reality show.  But Kim says it ain't so and they will be voluntarily moving.  Doesn't Kim always find a way with words to conveniently clear up some drama?  Just sayin'.  Get the deets on the rental drama inside.....

Kim Zolciak and her hubby Kroy Biermann are responding to rumors that they are being evicted from their home (by landlords Kendra Davis (who served as Kim's interior decorator and her husband) saying it's just a real estate deal gone sour.  You may remember that after Kim was confronted by Marlo Hampton at the "RHOA" reunion taping (and she previously alluded to buying a home--not renting one like she actually is) when Kim said that she and Kroy were in the process of buying the home featured on the show....but that ish went left.  

Kim and Kroy got pissy once they found out that the $3M home (sale price) was really valued at $2M and owners Kendra and Antonio Davis had "jacked" up the price.  I thought that was called making a profit....but whatever.

So after Kim and Kroy nixed the deal, they say Kendra started trashing them on Twitter.  Kim tweeted, Oh! So now I dont pay my rent LMAO...Ppl will say anything for attention. I know if ppl werent paying me Id have a lawyer not twitter court

As it stands now, the ladies ARE NOT friends and Kendra is ready for Kim and Kroy to move.  Kendra tweeted,

"Well she dreamed of trash until she realized she couldn't afford it! LOL. As long as she gets out I don't care what she says!"  She added, Truth always prevails! I'm going to continue to conduct business the way I always have. But be clear! It will all reveal it's self in time!

Kim and Kroy are still at the home and renting on a month-to-month basis as their lease was up May 31.  So clearly....this mess aint over.

UPDATE:  According to lease documents recently obtained by TMZ, it turns out Kim is in violation of the leae and is living in the home illegally.

Kroy sent an email to the landlord dated March 29, 2012 that they didn't plan to renw......so the lease officially terminated May 30.  But they are still in the house.  Under terms of the lease, they're considered squatters  and the lease says they are required to pay $600 for every day they illegally stay.  ANd of course Kendra says they haven't paid a cent.  

Kendra sent Kim and Kroy a letter today telling them they're in the house illegally and must vacate immediately, and if they don't she'll see them in court.

Sigh....a mess

Say it aint so!  Rumor has it that Kimora Lee Simmons has split from Djimon Hounsou and part of the "issue" was money.  Get the deets inside....

Today, the NY Daily News alleged that JustFab.com Creative Director Kimora Lee Simmons and her actor hubby Djimon Hounsou are headed toward a split, if they haven't split already.  A source close to the couple told the newspaper, “Djimon walked out on Kimora,” and they had a “big fight over money.”

The source said their money issues started when Russell Simmons stopped funding the pair’s lifestyle.  Kimora does seem to be downsizing as she has listed her $5.9M LA mansion for only $4.7M.  

But Kimora recently tweeted about her "alleged" financial issues saying, “Wow, I put 1 of several properties I own (+ DONT live in) on the market & now apparently my whole life is fallin apart?!” Rumors, Rumors ...”

And far as the breakup goes......responses have not been forthcoming.  When asked about a split, Kimora's spokeswoman said only that “Kimora has a beautiful family life.”  And Djimon's spokesperson said he was unavailable for comment because, “Djimon's been working in Vancouver for the past few months.”

Hmmm......

The source also added that “Kimora and Djimon were fighting on New Year’s Eve.  He is a calm, super-nice person and she’s such a diva.  I couldn’t believe they got together in the first place.”

If they have split, they won't be able to keep this quiet for very long.  We shall see.

Nicki Minaj called into The Breakfast Club to discuss her Summer Jam 2012 cancellation, her fight night phone call with Funkmaster Flex, and she also threw some shade at Lil' Kim. Deets inside......

"I'm not pulling the female card, but I was the only female on the bill!"  Nicki Minaj called into The Breakfast Club earlier to discuss the disrepectful (according to Nicki) remarks made by HOT 97 personality Peter Rosenberg at Summer Jam 2012.

"You should think about that before you attack the only woman on the bill.  Something should kick in.  This girl....I may not like one or two songs but she's holding it down for every female in Hip Hop at this moment."

During the discussion, The Breakfast Club came to Nicki's defense commenting that the male DJs rarely "go at" male hip-hop stars and many viewed Peter as being sexist.

DJ Envy added, "Lil Wayne made the perfect decision; I would've pulled her a long time ago. They belittle women, and let's be serious they're the number 8 morning show in the market." WOMP.

Nicki said she doesn't expect an apology though. "Everybody makes mistakes, but you have to own your mistakes. And that's the problem. When you don't own it, people feel like you can do this in the future and get away with it."

Nicki added that she learned a valuable lesson about self-respect and her own worth over the weekend.  "What I don't do is perform in a place where they don't respect me."

Nicki also said that a performance with Foxy Brown at Summer Jam 2012 had been planned for months and that Foxy was very supportive of her decision to cancel her show.

She also threw shade at Lil' Kim (surprise, surprise) when DJ Envy said he heard a rumor that Nicki had planned to stage a "funeral scene" featuring a Lil' Kim look-a-like. Before he could even finish, Nicki cut him off saying, "That's not even in my character. Please stop spreading rumors giving people false hope that they are still relevant."

She continued, "I am not about to bring death on my stage. My stage is about life and love. Period."

She also reiterated that she will soon do a free show for the NY/NJ area to make it up to her fans.

If you ever wondered what heroin, crack, and crystal meth sounded like set to music, the cast of "The Wire" got together for a funny clip with Funny Or Die where they sing about America's failing drug war. Watch it inside.....

The folks over at Funny Or Die’s just dropped a funny clip reuniting The Wire’s Michael Kenneth Williams, Sonja Sohn, Larry Gillard Jr., Andre Royo and Felicia “Snoop” Pearson.  In “The Wire: The Musical,” the cast is depicting America’s failing drug war through the magic of song. Something for you "Wire" fans.

R&B singer Teairra Mari has posted an interview clip where she discusses her struggles in the music business and her upcoming projects.  See the interview inside as well as Kanye West popping off on a fan for shining a laser during his performance and Luke James' video for "Mo' Better Blues."

Teairra Mari, who stole many scenes on VH1's Love & Hip Hop, has released a new interview clip for her fans to explains where she's been and what she is up to.  In the clip, she discusses the ups and downs of her career thus far, working with Rico Love and the time she spent with Roc-A-Fella.

Talented crooner (and New Orleans native) Luke James, who opened for Beyonce during her Revel concerts, has dropped a new video for his song "Mo' Better Blues." The BJ Coulter and Christian Bennett-directed video features the crooner singing to her lady under blue and red lights.  Luke, who's written for Britney Spears and Chris Brown, is currently working on his Made to Love album.
