The ridiculously sexy Michale Ealy, who stars as cop Travis Marks on USA's "Common Law," is getting his due in Hollywood with a successful blockbuster film and now a second season of his tv show.  He's aso learned a few things about dating--like why he shouldn't date women in the industry anymore (which means there's hope for the non celebs out there!).  Check the highlights below:

On why he doesn't date industry chicks

“I’ve been done with [dating industry women].  You do it for years and years and years—theater, television, film. It’s a workplace thing... But the difference for me now is that I’m mature enough to know that this is a work thing. The minute we stop production, I’m not going to feel this way anymore.”

On why his past relationships were a bust

“I think there was a part of me that was just attracted to the crazy.  I tended to involve myself with women that brought drama. And I had a bit of a savior complex. I thought I could save them from whatever daddy issues or cheating issues [they had].”

“In the past, I was definitely known as a guy who took himself and his relationships a little too seriously. I won’t say that I always knew how to have a lot fun.”

Oh Michael.  I'm sure there's more than a few chicks who can teach you how to not take yourself so seriously boo....

About her fourth album she's working on, Kel revealed to the magazine:

“I am more excited going into it this time than last time [her third solo studio album, Here I Am, came out in 2011], because I have a concept.  I’m making this album for my ladies, oh, yes, and it is strong. All of the producers I’ve been working with get the concept so much that they brought in a little more aggressive—and sometimes masculine—approach, but there is a really incredible top line: I want to tell women how incredible we are, how our intuition is so spot-on. Sometimes we don’t listen to it, but it is the thing that can actually make us happier.”

And why she's so grateful for her Destiny's Child start:

“Destiny’s Child was a huge part of my career, and I think it’s only natural for people to refer to Destiny’s Child when referring to any of us.  For people to call us one of the greatest female groups of all time—are you kidding me? Beyoncé and Michelle are two incredible women and deeper than what the public sees. Destiny’s Child, to me, was a sisterhood and a kinship that the three of us shared. You want people to respect that you have your own identity as an artist, but they also remember how they met you.”

As if walking through Dallas buck naked wasn't enough, Erykah Badu has teamed with indie-rock band, The Flaming Lips, for another NSFW video.  

This go round, Erykah recorded "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face," with the band and brought her sister Nayrok along for the ride.  

Directed by George Salisbury, the video features Erykah nude in a tub.......but it's her sister who shows all her T&A covered in glitter and cream.  And of course, some folks have some things to say about it on Twitter.

Fab chick and "Reed Between The Lines" 39-year-old actress Tracee Ellis Ross was seen leaving the Soho Trump hotel with her 29-year-old record exec boo Bu Thiam (Akon's brother) yesterday.

The twosome kissed goodbye before Bu hopped in a cab.  Bu, who also hosts MTV's "Hip Hop POV", has been dating Ms. Ross for a while now.  Lucky guy.

They were also spotted earlier in the day grabbing lunch in Soho.  WORK Tracee.

Despite their fame, the duo is very hush hush about their romance and seem to maintain a low profile.  Tracee explained in a recent interview, “I am not going to hide my relationship, but I am not talking about it. When you do that, you invite other people and their opinions and issues in. You can’t discover the person on your own.”

Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. turned himself in yesterday to begin a 3-month jail stint in Las Vegas for assaulting his baby mama back in 2010.  Get the deets inside....

We told you earlier about Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s conviction for assaulting his baby momma, Josie Harris, in front of two of their children in September 2010.  Yesterday, Floyd turned himself in at the Clark County Regional Justice Center to begin his 3-month jail stint at the Clark County Detention Center (minus 3 days for time already served) in downtown Las Vegas.  

Prior to turning himself in, Floyd has been on fairly good behavior, even being credited by Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa with attending weekly domestic violence counseling sessions.

His BFF rapper 50 Cent commented on the situation saying, "He'll be all right.  It's an uncomfortable situation for everyone.  Everyone has a different version of the same story.  It's no different than anyone going through a divorce and how your friends can become your vested enemies."

And don't assume that Floyd will get the star treatment from his prison mates.  He'll be housed in a solo cell (with no television) and will only be allowed out for one hour day.  Depending on his behavior, he could eventually be granted a few hours of exercise everyday with other inmates.

Queen Latifah has just publicly denied that the May 19th performance at Long Beach’s Lesbian & Gay Pride event was her "coming out." Deets inside....

On May 19, actress/rapper/HSN mogul Queen Latifah performed at the 2012 Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride Event.  And , of course, folks around the net assumed this was her way of "coming out of the closet."  Now, she's addressing the rumors that she "came out" during her performance.  She told Entertainment Weekly,

“That definitely wasn’t the case.  I’ve never dealt with the question of my personal life in public. It’s just not gonna happen.”

But don't take Queen's statement as a diss to the LGBT community.  She continued,

“To me, doing a gay pride show is one of the most fun things.  My first show that paid more than $10,000 was in a gay club on New Year’s Eve in San Francisco. Tupac happened to be in town, so he came to kick it with me. This was the early ’90s. And the boys were like, ‘Take your shirt off, Tupac!’ He wasn’t doing that. But we had a blast in there.”

Queen also addressed the bullying that many people in the community experience, saying,

“I know that the most important thing and the only thing I have to give is love. When people are going through hatred and bullying, the biggest thing to fight that is love.  So that’s all I encouraged my audience to do that night: to share their light and share their love. Period.”

After filming "End Of The World" with Seth Rogen in New Orleans, Rihanna made a quick detour to NYC to visit her sick grandmother Clara "Dolly" .

She was seen with her grandfather Lionel arriving at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

She tweeted, Came to NY, just for this moment right here!'.  Sweet.

Previously, Rihanna and Coldplay released a tour version of their "Princess of China" video.  And now they are back with an official cinematic video. “The final concept is a movie trailer to an old Kung-fu film. I get to play a bad samurai bitch. I get to play a cute little geisha bitch,” said Rihanna.

Hot 97 just royally f'd up. Just one hour away from hitting up tonight's Hot 97 Summer Jam stage, Lil Wayne CANCELLED Nicki Minaj's headlining performance!  Why? Because the station's host Peter Rosenberg said a disrespectful diss about her "Starships" track just minutes ago.  DRAMA...

Peter Rosenberg (pictured below), Hot 97's often controversial host and MTV's "Hip Hop Squares" host (who calls himself the Jewish Johnny Carson) just messed with the wrong ones. 

Tonight live from the 2012 Summer Jam stage, Peter said about headliner Nicki that she better not perform that "wack ass Starships" track.  And said "We about that real hip-hop, not ‘Starships.’”  It's one thing to have your personal opinion...but dissing your headlining artist who most of the big crowd is there to see anyway?  That's a No No.

Needless to say, Lil Wayne didn't take kindly to that ish.  He, along with al of the Young Money crew--Tyga (who performed earlier), DJ Khaled, Baby, etc.--literally just landed their private G5 jet at Teterboro in Jersey when he heard the diss.  And we're told from a member of Nicki's camp that Wayne instructed ALL of the Young Money artists to NOT go on stage. 

Wayne confirmed minutes ago tweeting: “Young Money ain't doing summer jam.”

Nicki, who was excited about making history as Summer Jam's headliner tonight, quickly changed her mood tweeting:

Wow. U niggaz just fucked up history. But the President has spoken. #YMCMB

I go above and beyond for my fans. But won't ever go against wayne's word. What he says, goes.

YM artist Jae Millz tweeted his pissiness saying: "Radio personality with NO personality... f--- n---a!!! & u ain't even black..."

And Nicki to responded, "Not blak but on blak radio dissin blak women."

Nicki's extra pissed because she had a crazy lineup coming out during her set.  Her camp confirmed to The YBF that Drake, Tyga, Beenie Man, 2 Chainz, and tons more were all slated to hit the stage with her.  

We also confirmed that the Head Barb was surprising the audience by bringing out Foxy Brown during her set!  Oh wells. 

We're told the only way Weezy will change his mind is if Rosenberg apologizes.  And Nicki's camp tells us (as of 8p EST) they are still at the hotel--which is 1 hour away from Festival Village where Summer Jam is going down.  Nicki was scheduled to go on at 9p. Until then....

Rihanna, who was spotted (above) hitting up her fave eatery Giorgio Baldi last night in her Jeremy Scott for Adidas tee and leopard sneakers, got extra fresh with the reporter during her ESQUIRE UK interview that delved semi-deep into the Chris Brown "incident."  Find out what Rihanna said about working with her ex and why she POPPED OFF at the reporter when he asked her why she did it...

We told you earlier about Rihanna's hot ESQUIRE UK cover and spread, but we had no idea how hot and heated the interview was.  Rihanna was questioned about her working relationship with Chris Brown and the message it sent to fans around the world.

The "Birthday Cake" singer (shown above in a large t shirt and animal print shoes at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica) expressed that she was tired of discussing Chris and wished society and journalists would let the incident go so everyone can move on.  She added that there is nothing wrong with her working with Chris and it DID NOT signal that they were back in a relationship.

Then, a seemingly annoyed RiRi turned the tables on the magazine, calling them "trivial," and asked why they don't ask questions fans really want to know?

She also threw MAJOR shade at the end and let the mag know she did four other interviews.....and they probably better questions.

Esquire: What has been the Twitter response to the Chris Brown remixes?
Rihanna: Some love it, some hate it, some love it but hate that we did it. But the response in the end has been incredible.
Esquire: Was that [the recording session] the first time you’d seen him in a while?
Rihanna: When would we have seen each other? We’ve both been working and touring. [changes the subject]. This is really good food.
Esquire: It proved quite a controversial thing.
Rihanna: Well…definitely. Definitely. It caught me a little off-guard to be honest…especially the amount of…negative attention. Because it never occurred to me how this was a problem, you know. It really didn’t.
Esquire: Because enough time had passed that it was OK?

Rihanna: I thought people were gonna be surprised that we finally did a record together, but I didn’t see how people could think it was a bad thing, you know? In my mind, it was just music.
Esquire: Some people felt it sent the wrong message.
Rihanna: [Angrily] What was that? What message would that be?
Esquire: You’d gone back to someone who put you in the hospital.
Rihanna: [Getting angry] Oh really? Did I?
Esquire: Well… yes.
Rihanna: Did I? Did I? Did I?

Esquire: You went and recorded with him, yes.
Rihanna: Okay. In a completely professional environment. And on a complete professional note. I mean, if I went back to him [as a girlfriend], then that’s a whole different discussion. And if I ever do, then that’s something that y’all have to talk to me about when – if – that ever happens. Until then, look at it for what it is. I think a lot of people jumped to an assumption that was incorrect and they ended up looking stupid.
Esquire: The assumption you were dating again?
Rihanna: Because of a song. How stupid. If I was together with every collaborator I worked with… f-ck my life.
Esquire: Still, the lyrics didn’t do much to dispel that impression. His opening line is “Girl I want to fuck you right now/been a long time/I’ve been missing your body”. You reply: “Remember how you did it/If you still want to kiss it/Then come and get it”.
Rihanna: That was the tone before he was even on the record. You think it was going to be about hopscotch or jump rope?

Esquire: So neither of you for a minute thought “This is going to put the cat among the pigeons”?
Rihanna: I could never see anything wrong with making music.
Esquire: Maybe the thing is that as an artist your personal and private life are intertwined, and you’ve already played on this. The first song you put out after the beating incident was “Love the Way You Lie”, about domestic violence.
Rihanna: Absolutely. But Love The Way You Live was me as an artist working with Eminem as an artist, telling our stories individually. On a track together. I’m lost. I’m confused as to what you’re trying to get at.
Esquire: That it’s hard to separate the person who’s been the victim of domestic violence and the pop star singing about domestic violence.
Rihanna: I know. And that’s how f-cked up society is. There’s a lot of sh-t y’all can’t get over. Y’all holding your breath on a lot of stuff that doesn’t matter. When you realize who you live for, and who’s important to please, a lot of people will actually start living. I am never going to get caught up in that. I’m gonna look back on my life and say that I enjoyed it – and I lived it for me- and God. This is turning into a tacky interview. What do you really want to talk about? I’m not here to [talk] about messy sh-t.

Esquire: It’s just what’s been making the headlines recently.
Rihanna: OK! So do you want to talk about everything on Google? Or do you want to talk about stuff that my fans want to know? Let’s get to the real stuff. The stuff that’s important.
Esquire: What do your fans want to know?
Rihanna: You tell me, as a journalist. You’re asking the questions and I give you the answers. I can’t give the questions too.
Esquire: I’m sorry it’s upset you.
Rihanna: It hasn’t upset me. It upsets me that you keep asking the same kind of questions about stuff that’s trivial. What’s there to talk about? Are all your questions like that? Let’s move onto the next one.
Esquire: It’s just that you haven’t given an interview for a while. A lot has happened.
Rihanna: You think I haven’t given an interview for a while? I did four this morning.

Now, Rihanna is one of your good friends, but from a role model standpoint, how do you view her influence to younger people?

EVELYN:  We became cool on Twitter [laughs], and she’s cool! She lives her life and does what the fawk she wants and I love that about her. It’s tough because all of a sudden your supposed to be perfect and a role model to everyone and not live your life and I think she does what she needs to do, she’s young and having fun. Growing up I didn’t necessarily say oh my god look at Madonna I want to be just like her, I just loved her music. I feel like people put so much pressure on these celebrities and it’s like I think parents should be role models and if you don’t want your kids watching these things then don’t. Like my daughter is almost 19 and she will tell you that growing up she had parental control for the TV, because of HBO etc. In my eyes, Rihanna can do no wrong, I think she’s an amazing artist. She’s gorgeous, handles her business, and lives her life with no apologies.

Does she come to you about… let’s say, the drama that’s been happening with Meek Mill, Drake and Chris Brown?  

EVELYN:  We don’t discuss personal things like that. It’s just, if I happen to be in her city or she’s in mine, we’ll hang out.

Rappers Nicki Minaj and Foxy Brown were spotted partying together in NYC at her own private "afterparty".  Check out the pics inside and what Rosenberg had to say about his "diss"....

Nicki Minaj may have cancelled her headlining performance at Summer Jam 2012 last night after Rosenberg's diss, but it didn't stop her from partying in NYC with folks like Foxy Brown and Cam'Ron.  As we reported earlier, Foxy was going to be one of Nicki's special guests she brought out during her set.
 

Though Lil' Kim thinks Nicki has an issue with other femcees....the new Barb seems cool with Foxy.  Kim popped off on Twitter saying don't believe the hype as this is just another example of Nicki playing mokey see monkey do to compete with Kim.  Since Kimmy brought out several female rappers at her shows recently. 

Nicki tweeted,

Foxy cam'ron beenie and spragga benz in here gettin bent w/us. We 200 deep. Dancehall on blast!!!!

Nicki also partied with Beenie Man.

And about that Young Money Summer Jam drama, there is now video of Hot 97 Morning Show host Peter Rosenberg dissing Nicki (which lead to the cancellation).  He disses her "Starships" song and says it's not real Hip Hop.

In response, Nicki tweeted, 

Wow. U niggaz just fucked up history. But the President has spoken. #YMCMB," and "I go above and beyond for my fans. But won't ever go against Wayne's word. What he says, goes."
 

And Rosenberg held his ground today tweeting:

Sexy "X Factor Australia" judge Mel B flaunted her post-pregnancy bod in Sydney over the weekend.

The Jenny Craig spokeswoman is a walking billboard for the company as she showed off what hard work and dedication lead to...even after 3 kids.  She spent the day hugged up with Stephen as they got extra lovey-dovey.

The duo went on a yacht ride near the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

It looks like they're keeping that mariage fresher than fresh.  Get it!

Papa Jay-Z and Mama Beyonce were spotted hopping out of their Range Rover in Paris with Baby Blue Ivy in tow.  The twosome are still in the City of Lights as Jay takes quick trips to surrounding cities and Belgium for his Watch The Throne tour stops.
