Plenty of your fave YBF celebs will be starring on new shows and return for new seasons on the FOX network. Peep flicks of Sanaa Lathan, Keke Palmer, Queen Latifah and many more, plus deets on their new roles inside….
Leading lady Sanaa Lathan strolled up to the FOX Upfronts presentation at Wollman Rink in NYC yesterday looking better than ever, which is hard because she hardly ever disappoints.
Serving up style and grace, the gorgeous 44-year-old actress sure knows how to slay in something as simple as an LBD. Simple, yet stylish.
Moving from the big screen to the small screen, Sanaa will be starring in an upcoming series titled “Shots Fired,” along with Stephan James (SELMA, Race) and Mack Wilds (“The Wire,” The Secret Life of Bees). Sanaa and Stephan's characters are Department of Justice investigators who are looking into the shooting of a white teenager at the hands of a black cop in a small Southern town.
Love & Basketball filmmaker Gina Prince-Bythewood and Empire executive producer Brian Grazer will helm the television series. In case you missed, check out the trailer HERE.
Sanaa’s Perfect Guy co-star Morris Chestnut was front and center since he’s the lead star of the medical drama “Rosewood” that has been renewed for season 2.
The hottie was joined on the carpet by actress Natalie Martinez, who will be starring on NBC’s new pilot “A.P.B.”
Now that it’s official, Keke Palmer will be returning for the upcoming 2nd season of the horror series “Scream Queens.”
The “Enemiez” singer turned up the sex appeal posing it up in a black lace crop top paired with black flared trousers.
Television host and actor Terrence J was on the scene to celebrate his brand new unscripted dating series called “Coupled.” It’s set to premiere on FOX tonight at 9/8c.
Producer Mark Burnett, who produces the new dating show, was also in the mix to celebrate.
“Empire” co-creator Lee Daniels has a new show in the works, so it was only right he snapped it up with the series’ stars on the blue carpet.
The drama follows three young female singers (played by Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, and Brittany O’Grady) who move to Atlanta with a dream of making big in the music industry as a girl group. We can expect Lee's new series to make it's debut in 2017, but in the meantime, peep the first trailer HERE.
Queen Latifah stars in Lee's new series "Star," along with Lenny Kravitz, so she hit up the event. Queen is looking a bit trimmer these days.
The "Empire" crew was in the building:
Jussie Smollett, Bryshere “Yazz” Gray (who’s gearing up for the New Edition biopic) and Serayah all stepped out to show some Lyon Love. The Hip Hopera has been renewed for Season 3.
Oh, Ta'Rhonda Jones made an appearance in this ensemble...
And newlyweds Trai Byers and Grace Gealey were all smiles as they hit up their first red carpet event as a married couple.
Grace kept it chic in House of CB, Mason by Michelle Mason and Jimmy Choo heels.
Looking rather dapper there Trai!
Singer/reality star Christina Milian is gearing up for her role as Magenta in the upcoming “Rocky Horror Picture Show.” She worked the carpet in this flirty frock that she topped off with a high side ponytail. Are we feelin' it?
"Orange Is The New Black" star Laverne Cox was also on the scene as she will be starring alongside C-Milli in the upcoming thriller series.
Laverne was all about showing some skin in a black cut-out mini with fringe by RVNNYC that she paired with Stuart Weitzman heels and a Nathalie Tra clutch.
If you missed the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" trailer, check it out HERE.
Cuba Gooding Jr., who starred on the hit FX series “The People vs. O.J. Simpson,” made an appearance.
Straight Outta Compton star Corey Hawkins is gearing up for a role in the upcoming drama mystery "24: Legacy" set to premiere February 5, 2017.
Terry Crews, who hosts "World's Funniest" series, kept it dapper in a crimson suit.
Legendary comic Damon Wayans is joining the FOX programming line up to star in the “Lethal Weapon” remake.
Inside....
Lee got cozy with his leading ladies Taraji P. Henson (who skipped the carpet) and Queen Latifah.
How cute is Yazz's little niece Cataleya? Adorbs!
We wonder what Lee has in store for the upcoming third season.
As TJ made his rounds, he caught up with YBF chick Keke Palmer.
Then, he snapped it up with the young fellas. Fine young men!
And caught up with Morris and Terry as well.
After the presentation...
TJ and Sanaa hopped in a ride for the afterparty festivities.
Fab times!
