In honor of Mother’s Day Weekend 2016, TheYBF.com would like to salute all the new and expecting mothers celebrating this weekend.

Whether it’s your first official Mother’s Day or you’re celebrating Mother’s Day again with a new baby, we’d like to honor all the strong moms out there making it happen.

“Scandal” star Kerry Washington will be a new mom again after confirming her pregnancy last week at the illustrious Met Gala. The 39-year-old starlet is already mom to 2-year-old Isabelle Amarachi Asomugha, whom she shares with husband Nnamdi Asomugha. And now, she’s gearing up for another exciting journey of motherhood, adding a new bundle of joy to her family fold. How exciting!

Tyra Banks is celebrating her first Mother's Day after trying for years to have a baby.  With the help of a surrogate, she's now able to relish in being called Mom.  Tyra gushed on her Instagram page:

I'm hearing, "Happy Mother's Day" and I can't believe how lucky I am! Of all the fashionable hats I wear, I love being a #mother the most. #HappyMothersDay from me and my mama to all the wonderful women of the world!

New mom again Tiny Harris hosted her annual Mother's Day brunch at Pageant in Atlanta yesterday to celebrate all the amazing moms in her life.

Mother-daughter duo Toya Wright and Reginae Carter brought the floral fab for the Mother's Day festivities. Cute.

Fab mom-of-two Monyetta Shaw, styling in a strapless floral frock,was also in the mix to celebrate.

Always showed us the power in having a vision. Grew up with not much at all, 6 sisters and brothers in a 2 bedroom house. Didn't have a degree, but ALWAYS the smartest sharpest woman in the room. Started a business in her garage and turned it into a lil empire, a space for women to feel empowered and beautiful. My sisters and I had a spare room in the salon, because you refused to have someone else raising us. Came to work with you every day and got to see the power of having a vision and working hard as hell to see it come to life. Had such an incredible tribe of women (Vernell, Cheryl, Angie,) around also showing us the power of being loving, hardworking, graceful women and mothers. Always gave us freedom and learned that me and my sisters were all different and had different needs, so took us to 3 different schools every day. Let me wear my crazy ass outfits and loud tap shoes to places, when I know sometimes people told you you should make me change. Let me blast my crazy music when I know sometimes you just wanted a quiet house. When I wanted to start petitions, or speak to the principle about issues, you were always right beside me. When I wanted to shoot a video in South Africa and didn't have a budget, you were right there with me being the assistant, assistant, director and let me use alllll your miles for plane tickets. All of that only for me to grow up and hear stories and find out I was just being a little Tina, lol. I didn't even mean to write this all, I've already talked to you twice but daaaaaaaaannng Tina, back at it again with the bomb bomb mommy hood.

The Karadashian saga continues! Blac Chyna is getting her coins in formation after filing legal documents to claim her Kardashian name. Meanwhile, on last night’s episode of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” they showed Lamar Odom lying in a hospital bed (after previously saying they weren’t going to bring cameras inside) after his drug overdose. Pics and deets inside…

Now that Blac Chyna is carrying the only heir to the Kardashian name and she’s engaged to be married to Rob Kardashian, chick is getting her ducks in a row to be sure her dynasty is protected.

The LASHED boutique owner has reportedly filed legal documents to claim the name Angela Renee Kardashian. Her government name is Angela Renee White, but that will be changing soon.

She filed the paperwork to cover the market for entertainment services, television appearances, movie appearance, living as a “social media celebrity” and party hosting, according to TMZ.

Sounds like Chyna has learned a thing or two from soon-to-be mother-in-law Kris Jenner.

And then there's this:

During last night’s episode of “KUWTK,” the show aired the first pictures of Lamar Odom lying in a hospital bed hooked up to machines as he recovered after a drug overdose. You’ll recall, the Kardashian Klan said they weren’t going to film Lamar during that time. Hmph.

Yes, it's possible they used footage that someone else took.  But um, yeah....

They showed the former NBA baller with tubes coming out of his nose and his eyes closed, seemingly unconscious. Apparently, it was a video shot on a phone where Lamar was seen vibing out to Kanye West who stopped by his bedside to rap and sing for the troubled athlete.

In another scene, we see Lamar taking his first steps as being assisted by hospital staff. The episode also showed a healthy Lamar chopping it up with Ye after he was released from the hospital:

We wonder if Lamar really approved of any of these images being shown on the show being that he hardly wanted anything to do with the show during happier times with his wife Khloe Kardashian. 

As he continues on the road of recovery, it appears Lamar may be hitting a rough patch. There are new pictures of Lamar sitting at bar at the Beverly Center Sunday afternoon (Mother’s Day). He’s seen drinking from a glass and it appears it could be Cognac You can see the bartender holding a bottle of some alcoholic beverage. Sighs...

Lamar seems to have a thing for drinking on holidays. He was also spotted hitting up a bar on Easter Sunday after attending church with his wife’s family.

UPDATE:

Now folks are saying Lamar decided to clear the photos of him laying in a hospital bed to be aired on "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."

According to TMZ, production sources tell them Khloe took the pics and videos of him on her cellphone to show him his progress once he recovered. They claim once Lamar got better he decided to show them on the show and that he signed off on them as well.

Hmm…we’re not buying it.

R&B songstress Alicia Keys returned to “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend to perform, not once, but twice for a special Mother’s Day episode.

The 35-year-old mom took us to church when she debuted her brand new song “Hallelujah.” She sang,“Hallelujah, Hallelujah, let me in. I’ve been praying, but I’m paying for my sins” as she played the melody while standing behind a piano.

For another performance, A. Keys lit up the stage with yet another new single. She performed the Illangelo-produced track "In Common," a cut from her upcoming sixth studio album.

After being snubbed by the Tony Awards this year, Jennifer Hudson wrapped her Broadway stint as Shug Avery in “The Color Purple” last night.

JHud made her Broadway debutin December 2015 and have been wowing audiences ever since. The Oscar/Grammy winner gave her all for her final performance as the nightclub singer at the Bernard Jacobs Theatre.

The R&B singer/actress will be replaced by Tony Award winner Heather Headly and she’s expected to hit the stage tomorrow (May 10th).

Sexy stars Terrence J and Michael B. Jordan linked up to help raise money for charity this weekend.

TJ and Michael, who happen to be good friends, attended the 2016 Orange Ball: A Night of Superheroes event for Lupus LA’s largest fundraising event of the year held at FOX Studios. TJ, who hosts a new FOX show titled "Coupled," was tapped to host the event.

For a charity he holds close to his heart, the CREED star made sure he was in attendance as he is a Lupus LA ambassador. When Michael learned that his mother Donna had lupus, he became an advocate for the organization to help spread awareness about the disease as it affects over 1.5 million Americans.

The YBF men had some fun snapping pics and chatting it up at the elegant street party before recognizing this year's honorees:

It was a successful night as the organization raised over $400,000 for lupus research and local patient programs. Nice!

Pulling double duty...

After hitting the Lupus LA event, Michael B. Jordan made his way to the City Year Los Angeles Spring Break event held at Sony Studios. He caught up with “Empire” star and singer Serayah. Hmm…they would make one good looking couple.

Oscar winner Octavia Spencer was also on the scene to party it up at the spring break event.

The 142nd Kentucky Derby was held over the weekend in Louisville at Churchill Down were a handful of YBF celebs stepped out in their Sunday’s best.  Even K.Michelle flipped the script and was all covered up but showing those curves. We've got them all inside...

R&B songstress K. Michelle, who currently stars on “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” showed off her trimmed figure in a black flared pencil skirt and champagne crop top finished with a nude and black wide brimmed hat.

The reality star and singer met up with her friend Shane Meredith for the horse races that lasted the entire weekend. She always said she wanted a man. We kid, we kid.

“Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” engaged couple Ray J and Princess Love brought the coupledom fab, hitting up several events during the derby races.

The couple had loads of fun, snapping several flicks for Instagram:

No word on when Ray and Princess will trek it down the aisle to exchange their "I Do's," but we'll keep you posted when we learn something new.

“CBS This Morning” host Gayle King celebrated Mother’s Day with her kids KirbyBumpus and William Bumpus Jr. at Churchill Downs. They too, were dressed to the nines. Gayle's son is a cutie.

CNN's Don Lemon was in the mix.

“Satan’s Sisters” creator Star Jones and her dategot dressed up to attend a few events going down at Churchill Down.

If you haven't heard, Star is creating a scripted series loosely based on her time as a co-host on "The View." Actress Vanessa Williams is set to star in the show and it will be premiereing on VH1 in 2017.

After serenading the audience at the VH1 “Dear Mama,” event, Boyz II Men singer Nathan Morris brought his mother Gail Harris as his date to watch the horse races. We love a man who loves his mama.

Nathan's band mate Shawn Stockman and his wife Sharonda Jones were all smiles on the red carpet.

And Miss Kentucky Clark Davis kept it cute in a floral frock before making her rounds.

Disney starlet Zendaya knows a thing or two about switching her style up and still looking effortlessly fab. And her look at the Humane Society of the United States' to the Rescue Gala at Paramount Studios was no different.

The Cover Girl ambassador stunned in a hot pink suit by Christian Siriano and Simon G jewelry for some sophisticated swag. The 19-year-old actress/singer pulled her hair back into a low bun and finished her look with a gorgeous face beat.

Jhene Aiko, half of superduo TWNETY 88, also went for an androgynous look. The R&B singer styled it up in a navy and white striped pantsuit before introducing the evening’s performers, Kesha and Diane Warren.

"Empire" stars Gabourey Sidibe, AzMarie Livingston, Rafael de la Fuente and show creator Lee Daniels came out to show their support for their cast mate Kaitlin Doubleday who tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Devin Lucien over the weened.

The intimate outdoor wedding ceremony went down at the Ventana Inn & Spa in Big Sur, California. Not only were they celebrating a wedding, it was also Gabby's birthday. This is the second "Empire" wedding following stars Trai Byers and Grace Gealey's wedding a few weeks ago. It was reported none of the "Empire" cast was in attendance for their ceremony. Hmph.

In baller news, its rumored Steph Curry will be named the NBA’s MVP for the 2nd year in the row. Get the deets, plus Serena Williams reveals how she ended up in Beyonce’s “Sorry” video inside….

Is Steph Curry going to repeat history for the 2nd year in a row? Possibly.

NBA sources tell ESPN the Golden State Warriors point guard will be named Most Valuable Player for the 2nd straight season. As an overwhelming fan favorite and with the Warriors’ record breaking 73-9 record, it comes as no surprise.

We hear the official announcement will be made in the next few days. Guess we shall see.

As for an update on Steph’s injury, he has been upgraded to questionable for Game 4 against the Portland Trail Blazers tonight. Steph has been since he sprained his right MCL after slipping on a wet spot before Game 4 against the Houston Rockets of the first round at the Toyota Center.

Fingers crossed!

Tennis superstar made a surprise appearance in Beyonce’s “Sorry” video, a cut from Bey’s LEMONADE visual album. And chick was serving all types of cake as she twerked and body rolled for her life in the visuals.

Now, she’s dishing on how it all came about and how Bey coaxed her into dancing. She spilled on how her cameo came about telling Billboard,

“I have known the director since I was like nine years old. I know Beyonce pretty well, so they were like, 'We would love for you to be in this particular song. It's about strength and it's about courage, and that's what we see you as.'"

Mrs. Carter wanted Serena to feel the music and be her authentic self like she’s in her room dancing in front of the mirror while no one else is looking. She said,

"She told me that she just wants me to dance, like just be really free and just dance like nobody's looking and go all out. So that wasn't easy in the beginning, but then it got easier. ... I thought that particular song on the visual album was really a strong song, and it was also really fun at the same time."

Naiyana Garth and Idris Elba attended London's House Of Fraser British Academy Television Awards 2016 over the weekend.  Interesting, since they supposedly split up back in February.

It looks like they reconciled, or The Sun -- Britain's homegrown tabloid -- had it all wrong in the first place.

We're not sure WTF is going on inside Lauryn Hill's camp as of late, but it all seems to be a disaster.  The latest inside...

Lauryn Hill is in straight 'I don't give a f**k mode', so it seems.  After showing up over two hours late to her Chastain Park show in Atlanta recently and almost missing her own concert, she sent out an apology to the fans.  Well, not really an apology, but more like a lame excuse.  Lauryn explained why her severe tardiness (which led to her show getting cut off 30 minutes in) wasn't really her fault.  She said she's late for her shows not because she doesn't care about her fans, but because....her energy sometimes isn't aligned with the time the show is scheduled to go on.

The challenge is aligning my energy with the time, taking something that isn't easily classified or contained, and trying to make it available for others. I don't have an on/off switch. I am at my best when I am open, rested, sensitive and liberated to express myself as truthfully as possible. For every performance that I've arrived to late, there have been countless others where I've performed in excess of two hours, beyond what I am contracted to do, pouring everything out on the stage.

Because I care so deeply about the artistic process, I scrutinize, have perfectionist tendencies, and want space made for spontaneity, which is not an easy process, with the many moving parts on the road. Some days we are more successful than others re time. However, the vitality that is infused into the performances is always appreciated by the audiences, who may not know exactly what it took to accomplish. What hasn't been touched upon by the media, I'm sure, are the hundreds of people who rushed the stage and stayed in excess of an hour after the show ended last night, just to connect.

Our challenge is to figure out the best way to accommodate the vitality, spontaneity, and spirit that make the performances worthwhile and special to begin with, while also making that experience available and accessible to others. If I didn't Love and respect the art, I wouldn't be doing this. The audience and I should have that in common.

My true audience knows emphatically that I care. It isn't possible to affect people in any deep and meaningful way without putting sacrificial time in.

I have nothing but Love and appreciation for the fans in Atlanta, and regret not being able to give you a full show. We are figuring out a plan to make it up to you, and will announce details as soon as we have them.

Fans' ticker money surely aligned with Lauryn's pockets though, didn't it?  When an artist charges money for a concert, yes, there is an expectation fans will be getting an actual concert.

But it doesn't stop there.  Lauryn just announced her Baltimore show, set for this Thursday, is cancelled!

She was set to rock the stage at Rams Head Live after announcing the date earlier this month.  Now, a message about the artist appears on the venue's website saying the show has been canceled "due to unforeseeable circumstances."

Hmph.

She's set to perform tonight in Richmond, VA.  We'll see what happens....

Oprah and Usher got kissy during a charity event in NYC last night. Peep their flicks, plus get the deets on Denzel and Pauletta Washington raising over $17 million for the Smithsonian Museum inside….

We love a party with a cause.

Last night, media mogul Oprah and R&B crooner Usher linked up at the Robin Hood Foundation’s benefit in NYC. And it was all love between the two as the “Good Kisser” singer showered Lady O with kisses on her cheek.

Wealthy donors put their money where their mouths are, raising over $61 million to help fight poverty in the Big Apple. Nice!

Usher was on hand to perform at the event.

In other news, Lady O is gearing up for a new role in HBO’s The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks that she’s also executive producing. The film is based on Rebecca Skloot’s non-fiction book and it will follow Henrietta Lacks, an African-American woman whose cells were used to create the first immortal human cell line.

According to Deadline, the story will be told through the eyes of her daughter, Deborah Lacks (Winfrey), as it chronicles her search to learn about the mother she never knew and to understand how the unauthorized harvesting of Lacks’ cancerous cells in 1951 led to unprecedented medical breakthroughs, changing countless lives and the face of medicine forever.

Filming for the passion project is expected to begin this summer. No word on when the movie will premiere, but we’ll keep you posted.

In other do-gooder news...

Thanks to Denzel Washington and his wife Pauletta Washington $17 million was raised for the Smithsonian Museum of African American History and Culture!

According to Variety, the Washingtons opened up their home in L.A. to host the fundraising event for one of the President Barack Obama’s major priorities.

The site reports:

Early in his presidency, President Obama insisted that all monies needed to complete the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture be raised before his exit from The White House at end of 2016. Authorized by Congress in 2003, the museum stands on a five acre-site on the National mall, near the Washington Monument, and boasts a $540 million dollar price tag.

The federal government contributed $270 million, leaving the Smithsonian and others in the community to raise the remainder. The museum reported raising just over $252 million dollars last month –not far from their $270 million goal. The museum is set to open on September 24 of this year, with President Obama cutting the ribbon.

Over the years, Denzel and Pauletta have donated more than a whopping $55 million for the museum that will feature Harriett Tubman’s hymnal, Nat Turner’s bible, Emmett Till’s original coffin as well as Louis Armstrong’s trumpet.

Media mogul Oprah Winfrey is the largest individual donor to date dropping over $21 million to the site. “TGIT” creator Shonda Rhimes pledged a cool $10 million for that project that will feature a 355-seat theatre named after Winfrey and a gallery in Shonda’s name.

Some type of way Birdman is getting mad respeck (no error) from the singing ladies.  There's ANOTHER R&B chick he's supposedly smashing (or at least he did in the past) that you won't believe.  Deets inside....

Cash Money head honcho Birdman has been linked to his fair shares of bad chicks and singers.  From fashion chicks like Kimora Lee Simmons to singers like Keyshia Cole and several in between.  Now, he supposedly has more than a little something something going on with...Toni Braxton!

48-Year-Old Toni Braxton performed at Artist Spotlight at the 2016 Grammy Park at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn on Sunday night.  According to a leaked pic, 47-year-old Birdman was there too...hugged up backstage with the sexy "Braxton Family Values" star.

According to TMZ, the two had the whole area closed off, but some type of way, this picture "got out."  The pic seems quite posed and intentionally taken, but what do we know.

The site claims Birdman and Toni have hooked up in the past but kept it on the DL.  And it's unclear if they got that old thing back Sunday night, but they were definitely backstage together at her show:

We're told backstage was sealed off so very few people could see them together, but this pic of the rendezvous got out.

Sources tell TMZ ... Birdman left with his entourage to go clubbing. It's unclear if he and Toni had a "run-in" later, but we're told they've been close for years ... and have hooked up in the past.

Our sources say they're trying to keep it on the DL, and up until now they have.

Don't forget....Mr. Birdman is currently shooting a reality show for BET.  So, yeah...anything for promo.

In movie and television news, a screening of the upcoming "ROOTS" remake went down in Atlanta last night that brought out T.I. and Phaedra Parks. Lee Daniels has pulled out of directing the upcoming Richard Pryor biopic and “A Different World” will reunite on the “Steve Harvey Show.” Get it all inside….

Last night in Atlanta, rapper T.I., along with producer Will Packer, hosted a screening for the upcoming "ROOTS" reboot set to premiere on the History Channel in a few weeks. Tip will be featured in the slave film as Cyrus.

The Atlanta elite gathered at the Center for Civil and Humans Rights to peep the first episode of the miniseries, followed by a panel discussion about the new show.

”Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks came out and was all smiles during the event.

The “Roots” miniseries will premiere Memorial Day airing over four consecutive nights at 9pm EST on May 30th, nearly 40 years after the original film premiered.

The four-night, eight-hour event series developed by HISTORY is a historical portrait of American slavery recounting the journey of one family and their will to survive and ultimately carry on their legacy despite hardship.

Along with Tip, the cast includes Forest Whitaker, Laurence Fishburne, Anika Noni Rose, and Roman Armstrong as Kunta Kinte.

“Empire” creator Lee Daniels is throwing in the towel on the Richard Pryor biopic. Word as it the Oscar nominated director, who brought films like The Butler& Precious, has pulled out of directing the project supposedly due to his busy schedule working on “Empire” and his new show “Star.”

Production sources tell THR, The Weinstein Co. is no longer waiting for Lee to clear up his schedule and is currently searching for another director. Filming was supposed to begin in March, but was reportedly delayed due to Lee’s demanding schedule.

The Weinstein Co. then set a new date in October to start filming, but Lee allegedly asked for it to be pushed back and The Weinstein Co. wasn't willing to wait. They’re expecting to keep the October date with a new director. The show must go on!

The film includes a star-studded cast, including funnyman Mike Epps as Richard Pryor and Oprah Winfrey as his grandmother.

On yesterday's show...

90s groups Salt N Pepa and Kid N Play appeared on the show to take us on a trip down memory lane. Cheryl “Salt” James, Sandra “Pepa” Denton and Deidra “Spinderella” Roper opened up about how the group came together and the struggles they faced in the earlier part of their career.

Pepa also dished on the real reason she rocked the asymmetrical blonde cut that everyone copped in the late 80s/early 90s.

He became the 11th player to win back-to-back MVP awards, following LeBron James when he won in 2012 & 2013 with the Miami Heat.

The new MVP is fresh off an incredible win last night after hitting the court for the first time since he sprained his right MCL a few weeks ago.

The 28-year-old baller helped his team to victory during overtime of Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Portland Trail Blazers at the Moda Center in Portland. The final score was 132-125 and Steph, who’s arguably the best shooter in the league, put up a cool 40 points. The Warriors are leading the series, 3-1.

Speaking of points, Steph holds the record for the most 3-pointers made in a single season with 402 made shots. He leads the league in scoring with 30 points average per game, shooting 50% from the floor, 45 percent from 3-point range and 90 percent from the foul line in a single season. Boss!

Well look who has a new ‘do!

“Being Mary Jane” star Gabrielle Union strolled into the America Airlines Arena in Miami last night rocking four long cornrows with blonde tips. Chick showed off her abs in a white crop top that she paired with distressed jeans and white sneakers.

We all know how Gabby gets down at the games, so chick had to be sure she was dressed comfortably to jump, scream and shout as she cheered on her husband Dwyane Wade and the Heat as they battled it out against the Toronto Raptors in Game 3 of the NBA Semifinals.

During her cheer session, she stopped for a moment to chat it up with Miami Heat baller Amar'e Stoudemire’s wife and fellow WAG Alexis Stoudemire. Both Gabby and Alexis were also partying it up together at Hyde inside the arena after the game.

Heat baller Chris Bosh's wife Adrienne Bosh, who gave birth to twin boys Phoenix and Lennox in March, was also in the stands.

By the way, the Heat beat the Raptors in overtime with a final score, 94-87. The series is now tied up, 2-2.

On the heels of the announcement that 49-year-old singer Janet Jackson is expecting a baby with her husband Wissam Al Mana, Janet’s ex-husband James DeBarge is making claims they allegedly had a secret child together. Do we believe it? Decide for yourself inside…

Less than a week after news broke that 49-year-old singer Janet Jackson, who celebrates a birthday next week, is pregnant with her husband's Wissam Al Mana's baby the rumor mill has now gone into overdrive.

Rumors have circulated for years that Janet had a secret love child that no one knew about. Now, her ex-husband James DeBarge is supposedly putting those rumors to rest...IF what he's saying is true. We're not exactly sure if we're buying it. 

In a new interview with RadarOnline, James opens up about a woman who reached out to him a few years ago claiming she is the alleged daughter Janet had back when she was a teenager with James. Janet and James tied the knot back in 1984 only to have their marriage annulled a year later.

“Someone had contacted me. She spoke to me by email,” says James. “The first time was two years ago. I have not been able to directly see her face-to-face.”

James claims Janet isn’t expecting her first child because she supposedly gave birth to a bay girl that she kept a secret and allegedly gave her up for adoption. He says he believes the woman could be his child because she told him things that only he and Janet knew. He spills:

“She did but without saying [it]. She was angry because another child was trying to come forward and say that she was our child. So she did out of anger.”

“She described as much as she could tell me because she was very fearful at the time,” he continued. “She was very angry about people running with this story about this [other child] being my baby. She got very angry. She’s like, ‘Papa I want to help you out.’ She had so much of personality and she was so accurate with everything she was saying, it was only things that I and Janet know. No one else but god, me and Janet.”

Hmm…if she was given up for adoption as an infant, what exact details would this woman know that only he and Janet knew? Anyway, he claims the woman’s adoptive mother confirmed she was Janet’s daughter right before she passed away.

James also claims he had a hunch that Janet secretly had a baby, but he wasn’t sure, so he supposedly went out to search for this alleged child. He tells the site:

“I hadn’t known [that Janet had a baby]… not for sure. I went on a search. Someone went through some serious changes to make it impossible for me to find. This had to be some serious inside work being done with the paperwork. Someone was working with them.”

As for how the hunch of Janet being pregnant came about, James’ mom Etterlene DeBarge told Star magazine back in 1994 that she KNEW Janet was pregnant because she went away for a period of time, came back and then said she wanted to end her marriage with James.

In the article, she allegedly said, “I saw Janet before she left, and from what I could see, she was definitely pregnant,” Etterlene DeBarge told the magazine. “She wasn’t fooling anyone.”

The timing of this alleged interview is has us raising our eyebrows and giving the uber side eye. There have been times when certain sites have even made up interviews for hits and we’re not sure if this is one of those times.

Take it with a grain of salt until those receipts are leaked...

A group of African-American female cadets at West Point are now being investigated after a picture of them holding up their fists in a pre-graduation photo goes viral. More inside….

THEY don’t want to see us succeed. By any means necessary.

16 African-American female cadets at the United Sates Military Academy of West Point are being investigated after their pre-graduation photo (taken last month) went viral. Folks are up in arms that the black cadets held up their fists in what appears to be the Black Power salute.

It’s a long tradition at the school that groups from graduating class snap a "Old Corps” photo in their historical-style uniforms in front of Nininger Hall. The poses are typically poker-faced and stern, but not this year. These ladies decided to pay homage to their culture with the raising of their fists.

Now, the young cadets, who are set to graduate later this month, are being investigated to see if they violated the school’s honor code or a Department of Defense rule about political activities while in the Armed Forces. As written in the Army Command policy, soldiers (including cadets) may "register, vote, and express their personal opinion on political candidates and issues, but not as a representative of the Army." They are not allowed to show any political statements while in the military.

According to CNN:

The photo gained national attention last week when a blogger popular among some in the military wrote about it after multiple cadets sent in the photo, according to the blog's author. In posts on his blog and on his Facebook account, John Burk called the image a "completely unprofessional" reference to the Black Lives Matter movement. The Facebook post drew hundreds of comments and was shared more than 1,400 times.

In days since, scores of alumni have lined up in support of the young women, who have not spoken publicly about the photo or been identified by West Point. Meanwhile, the school said it is investigating whether the photo violates the military's restrictions on political expression.

Lt. Colonel Christopher Kasker, spokesman for the school, did not specify whether the inquiry could result in disciplinary action for the cadets, who were described by Fulton and others who knew them as athletes and campus leaders. One black female graduate of the academy is speaking out to show her support. Mary Tobin is a mentor to some of the women in the photo and she said their picture has nothing to do with politics.

Mary Tobin, a black female graduate of the academy, said she is a mentor to some of the women in the photo and has spoken to them since the investigation was launched. She said the pose had nothing to do with politics and that they "weren't doing it to be aligned with any particular movement or any particular party."

In a Facebook post titled “This Is Not About A Fist,” Mary defends the young cadets for their clenched fist photo. In part, she said she would have not advised them to throw up their fists in the picture due to this racist world we live in, but she fully supports them.

"I refuse to allow my young West Point sisters to be railroaded, ostracized, demonized, degraded, and humiliated without speaking up on their behalf. They are proud. Point blank. And while I would not have advised them to display 'the fist' while taking this traditional picture, my advice would've been solely rooted in the fact that we exist in a very racially and politically charged environment and not everyone will understand what you meant." None of the young ladies have publicly addressed the picture."

 

THEY will always have an “issue” when someone unapologetically celebrates their blackness. Thoughts?

She's pregnant!  The TONY Award winning 45-year-old Broadway star and tv actress Audra McDonald is about to welcome a brand new baby in the world with husband Will Swenson.

She has one daughter, Zoe, with her previous husband Peter Donovan, and now she and her husband of 4 years will have one of their own.

Audra, who stars in the HBO TV Movie (based off the Tony Award winning Broadway show) Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Gril, made the announcement on social media.  And she's totally shocked about it all:

The soon-to-be married couple snapped it up with a few of Chy's new emoji figures.

Fans are speculating that Chy and Rob are having a baby boy based on some of Chy's new emojis.

In one of the emoticons, Chy is holding a baby that is peeing on Rob, which would indicate the baby may possibly be a boy. Only boys can urinate that way. And in another emoticon, a stork is carrying a baby boy in a blue "Kardashian" blanket. Mmhmm....

Before Chy and Rob hit up the event, Rob gifted his soon-to-be wife with 28 bouquets of flowers and 28 cards to celebrate her 28th birthday. She shared her gifts on SnapChat saying, “Oh my God, I just walked into the kitchen, and I'm seeing all these flowers from Rob! Twenty-eight different cards." How thoughtful.

Ja Rule just proved he’s NOT the one to play with.

The “Thug Lovin’” rapper hit the stage at Harrah’s Pool After Dark in Atlantic City last weekend where a fan decided to throw a beer can on stage. He/she had perfect aim too.

As Ja performed his track “New York,” someone threw a beer can at him hitting him in the head! And it was all caught on camera (obtained by TMZ). The NYC rapper stopped his set to find the culprit offering up a $1000 reward.

Someone pointed out the can-thrower in which Ja said, “You threw that? Come here so I can slap the sh*t out of you!”

Then, he cocked his hand back and slapped the piss out of them. Yikes!
