By now, you’ve heard of Super Bowl MVP Von Miller. But you probably haven't heard about this of the Broncos baller.  You're going to love it.  Check it inside...

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller Jr. nabbed the Super Bowl MVP award after the Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers (who also had an amazing season) at Super Bowl 50 earlier this month. Now, everyone who didn’t already know wants to know who is Von Miller?

In one word: Nerd! In the best way possible.

No, we’re not calling him names. The 26-year-old is a self-proclaimed nerd who wears large “nerdy” glasses and loves watching the National Geographic channel.

“I was a nerd," Von wrote in an article on The Players’ Tribune. “You think I’m joking. I’m not joking. I’m talking nerd. I still watch NatGeo. I love NatGeo.”

So what’s with the glasses he's always seen wearing? “These glasses are not a fashion statement," said Von."I’ve been blind without them since I was a kid. Now it’s cool. In ’99, it wasn’t cool.”

Talk about not letting obstacles stop your greatness!

Not only is he a nerd, but he's a farmer too! He has a chicken farm in his hometown of DeSoto, TX, and you can grab a few organic eggs if you'd like. How cool is that?

Before he became this year’s Super Bowl MVP, the Texas A&M alum was a scrawny 5th grader living in Texas who begged his parents to play peewee football. At the time, his dad felt he wasn’t ready, telling him he was too skinny to play. He gave up on asking his dad after he kept turning him down, so he started begging his mom. She eventually got tired of him asking and signed him up (and hid it from his dad until his team won the championship). The rest was football history.

Growing up, he had three close friends who, ironically, also all now play in the NFL. San Francisco 49ers defensive end Tony Jerod-Eddie, Miami Dolphins defensive end Damontre Moore and Denver Broncos running back Cyrus Gray all went from the sandbox to the National Footbal League. The guys joined Von in his written piece where they reflected on the time they tried to sneak out of the house to see some girls, or as Tony recalled “Von’s girlfriend.”

Von and Tony lived together while they were in high school after Tony’s mom decided to move from DeSoto, TX. While they aren’t blood brothers, blood couldn’t make them any closer.

One night, Von snuck in Tony’s room to persuade him to sneak out with him. Von, Tony and Von’s little brother all snuck out of the house, but Von didn’t disarm the security alarm like he thought he did. They get outside, put Von’s mom’s car in neutral and pushed it down the driveway until they got far enough away to start the engine without Von’s mom (Gloria) hearing.

As they started their late night stroll, all of their cell phones started ringing and that’s when they realized they were caught!

Tony explained:

"Our phones were supposed to be off. We were on some pay-as-you-go thing. Von’s mom was supposed to re-up the phones a few days later. And now they were popping off. That’s when we knew."

Totally busted!

They said when they got back to the house, all of the lights were off, like a scene straight out of a horror flick. When they walked in, Von’s dad was sitting in the dark. Soon after, Tony revealed they all got their asses handed to them.  Ha!

Von further reflected on the moment and their longtime friendship saying:

"Band of brothers. We were in it together. From DeSoto to Texas A&M to the NFL. Me, Tony, Cyrus and Damontre. All went to A&M. All made it to the NFL. Think about that. Four friends who played on the same hot, crunchy grass field in DeSoto, made it all the way to the League."

Sweet!

Ava DuVernay is taking her directorial talents to Disney for a new film titled A Wrinkle in time. Get the latest on Ava’s newest gig and find out what Tia Mowry Hardrict said about transitioning to reality TV inside….

Fab directress Ava DuVernay is reportedly gearing up to helm a new project. According to Deadline, Ava has officially signed on to direct Disney’s adaptation of Madeleine L'Engle's classic A Wrinkle in Time, with a script written by Frozen’s Jennifer Lee.

Below is a description of the book:

A Wrinkle in Time is the story of Meg Murry, a high-school-aged girl who is transported on an adventure through time and space with her younger brother Charles Wallace and her friend Calvin O'Keefe to rescue her father, a gifted scientist, from the evil forces that hold him prisoner on another planet

That’s not all….

The SELMA director has also been offered to helm a film by DreamWorks titled Intelligent Life, where Oscar nominated actress Lupita Nyong’o is reportedly attached to the film. We're certainly here for that!

These are just two more projects added to Ava’s already full plate. She’s also working on a film about Hurricane Katrina with David Oyelowo and she's finishing up Queen Sugar series on OWN that she wrote and is executive producing alongside Oprah.

In a new interview…

Tia Mowry Hardrict has been heating up the kitchen since her departure from the hit sitcom “The Game.” She’s the star of her own cooking show that also serves as somewhat of a reality show. Her show is about her real life and how she juggles being a businesswoman, mom and wife.

In an interview with the Miami Times during the Food Network & Cooking Channel’s South Beach Wine & Food Festival, Tia opened up about how her career is changing parallel to what’s going on in her life. She said,

"What I'm personally going through is what inspires me. As a teen, I did Sister, Sister, and a lot of the themes were based on what teens were going through — dating, bullying, and peer pressure. Then I went to college, and I traveled around the world and experienced this transition into young adulthood and knew heartbreak, dating, and wondering what you wanted to do with your career, which was like my character in [the TV comedy] The Game."

The actress-turned-TV-chef wants other mothers out there to know that if she can handle juggling the many different hats she wears on a daily, so can you! She explained,

“I am a working mom, and I have to balance and juggle a family and a career. I'm not playing a character, so I want people to see that if Tia can do this, so can they."

Transitioning from scripted television to reality TV has been pretty much smooth sailing for Tia because she’s in total control of her show. She talked about not allowing this industry to comprise her morals and being the boss behind her new project. She said,

"My number one rule is that I do not allow this business to define who I am. With that said, there are a lot of producers out there who believe, and it is true to some point, that confrontation and drama gets ratings. But it's not about trying to fit that mold. It's about me being who I am. I believe I bring authenticity. I never tried to shape and change myself to fit what's now and what's hot. I had creative control to say that this is not the route I want to go. I am here to inspire."

Loves it!

Tia also offered up a few healthy eating tips for those who live a fast-paced life (don’t we all?). She shared,

"Know that this is going to take more time than grabbing a slice of pizza or opening a can of tuna, but know this will be a better choice." She also suggests stocking your fridge with staples. "What I like to do on Saturday or Sunday is go to the grocery and get fruits, vegetables, rice, pasta, and chicken broth." A good time-saver is to purchase chopped carrots, celery, onions, and garlic. "The only thing you have to do is toss them into a pan with a protein."

We love her advice on preparing your meals ahead of time and staying consistent. It definitely aint easy. You can read her full interview here.

The twosome linked up with Smile Train, an international children’s charity, to travel to Haiti today. They went to visit a few kiddies, as well as doctors and staff, who were having cleft lip and palette surgery.

“Real Housewives of New York” star Kristen Taekman, who will not be returning next season, and Miss USA 2015 Olivia Jordan also came along on the charity mission. They had fun snapping and chatting with children who had successfully recovered from the procedure.

Fab directress Ava DuVernay and CREED director Ryan Coogler will be hosting a FREE event in Flint, Michigan to help raise awareness to the lead-water crisis the city is battling. The kicker? It’s going down on the same night the Oscars will be airing. Take that, take that! Coincidence? We don’t think so.  But Ryan claims it was. He said they chose that date because it fell on the final weekend of Black History Month.

WONDLAND honcho Janelle Monae, “Grey’s Anatomy” star Jesse Williams and comedian Hannibal Buress will be joining in on the festivities.

The event, hosted by Hannibal, is dubbed as #JUSTICEFORFLINT where Flint residents will get the chance to share their experiences on stage in front of a live audience.

Ryan Coogler dished on the event in a statement saying,

“With the #JUSTICEFORFLINT benefit event we will give a voice to the members of the community who were the victims of the choices of people in power who are paid to protect them, as well as provide them with a night of entertainment, unity and emotional healing, Through the live stream we will also give a chance for people around the world to participate, and to donate funds to programs for Flint’s youth.”

The star studed event is set to go down at the Whiting Auditorium this Sunday.

Kerry Washington and the “Scandal” cast got a surprise visit on the set yesterday. Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton dropped in on the set as Pope & Associates filmed an upcoming episode of the show. Gotta love it!

Kerry showed her support of Clinton and captioned, “A good friend came by set today. Proud to say... #imwithher."

Kanye West is back to his Twitter antics, this time aiming his frustrations at music producer Bob Ezrin and throwing in a little shade at Taylor Swift. Conveniently, he debuted a new track “Closest Thing To Einstein” last night as well. Get it all inside….

Kanye West went on yet another Twitter rant late last night slamming music producer Bob Ezrin. So what set him off? Apparently, the music producer, who has worked with acts like Lou Reed, Alice Cooper, Kiss and more, penned a harsh critique of Yeezy that pissed him off.

The 66-year-old producer called Yeezy’s music unmemorable compared to legends like Jay Z, Biggie and Tupac. He went IN, saying Ye’s greatest achievements aren’t in music. He said his greatest achievements have been in the form of “excessive behavior, egomaniacal tantrums and tasteless grandstanding.” Hmph.

Well, Ye caught wind of Bob’s open letter and decided to respond…via Twitter. Of course.

In a series of tweets, the “No Parties In L.A.” rapper popped off demanding Bob to NEVER speak to him ever again and that he’s tired of old people commenting on music. He also threw some shade at other artists (we assume at Taylor Swift) who are recognized for their works, while his albums go unnoticed. After all his foolishness he then says “all positive vibes.”

After his Twitter rant, he hit the stage at Yo Gotti’s album release party at 1Oak in L.A. last night where he unleashed yet another one of his rants. The "Mercy" rapper started going off about people who look at him differently since he revealed he was in debt. He confirmed, yet again, that he talked to Taylor Swift before he released the track “Famous” where he called her a b*tch. He also talked about Louis Vuitton backing out at the last minute after they signed a deal. Oh, and he also said Amber Rose never stuck her fingers in his booty because he doesn't play like that!

Fab chick Keke Palmer has been front-and-center at many events that have been going down in L.A. recently. And last night, she hit the scene to party it up at Vantiy Fair and FIAT’s Young Hollywood Celebration held at Chateau Marmont.

It’s fun to watch Keke change up her style and rock different looks. The 22-year-old actress struck a pose in a red button-up blouse paired with gray patterned tie-waist culottes. Are we feelin’ it?

Making her rounds, the "Grease Live!" star bumped into "Modern Family" actress Ariel Winter along with her boyfriend Laurent Gaudette, and Ariel's co-star Nolan Gould.

Still no word on if Keke will return to "Scream Queens" since it was renewed for a 2nd season.

“Empire” starlet Serayah is another YBF chick that has been on the move. After hitting up NYFW and making media rounds on the west coast, the singer/actress got dolled up to attend the Young Hollywood Celebration. Serayah kept her look simple, rocking a black strapless Vivienne Westwood dress embellished with a few insect brooches and black strappy sandals.

Going from off-Broadway to the big stage, Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o and the “Eclipsed” cast were all smiles after wrapping up the first preview of their stage play on Broadway at the Golden Theatre in NYC last night.

As the crowd gave a standing ovation, Lupita stood alongside playwright and actress Danai Gurira to soak in the well-deserved praise. “Eclipsed” made Broadway history as the first all-black, all-female cast and team. #BlackGirlMagic!

Previews of the show will run until the official opening night on March 6th.

Prima ballerina Misty Copeland made her way to the Golden Theatre to show her support.

Singer/Broadway star Deborah Cox was also in attendance to check out the phenomenal play.

Oscar winning actress Lupita Nyong’o, playwright Danai Gurira and the “Eclipsed” cast are ready to make their mark on Broadway all while slaying a new magazine cover.

The history making all-female, all-black cast and crew, led by Broadway’s only two black lead producers, graces the newest cover of UPTOWN magazine and it is breathtaking! All of this #blackgirlmagic in one shoot is almost too much for us to handle.

The cast wrapped up their first Broadway preview at the Golden Theatre last night. And now, they’re dishing to UPTOWN on what it’s like making Broadway history, how important it is to tell the untold stories of black women, and why this project is so near and dear to their hearts.

Lupita Nyong'o on being drawn to Eclipsed:

"I was first cast as the understudy in the role I’m playing now so it was the very first role I under-studied and it was the very first role that I was assigned to at Yale. I was just drawn. I thought it was an incredibly engaging and riveting story and I was just dumbfounded that I never experienced anything like it before -- five African women telling their stories and each of the women are so distinct from the other one. And it was so funny and also heart-breaking at times. It was just a very powerful story."

Lupita on making history:

"I’m very proud to be part of a milestone of a production that is all female...and to be a part of a production like none other that has been on Broadway and is also changing the narrative of what is possible on Broadway."

Danai Gurira on telling the story from the women's perspective:

"Creating this play was an act of love. I got on a plane from New York to Ghana and from Ghana to Liberia and I was broke ... but I knew I had to do it, my heart felt really driven to tell the stories in the voice of the women. I was crazy."

Danai on why telling stories like Eclipsed are important:

"That for me is really the most important thing, the exposure of these voices. Honestly, the reason why I write what I write is because it’s kind of inexplicable the silence and the lack of representation around these types of women and these stories. That’s kind of the thing that excites me the most is the idea that we’re breaking that type of barrier with these types of women and hearing these particular voices on The Great White Way. It’s really time to break through those barriers and show that there isn’t a reason for the lack of representation or the under-representation."

Pascale Armand on making women's voices heard:

"There are no men ... You’re seeing the story from the female perspective ... being able to tell this story and not have a male voice in it is just wonderful because most of the time women’s voices are silent. And so being able to speak for ourselves and tell the story the way we want to is wonderful and it’s something we haven’t seen in a long time."

Zainab Jah on how close "Eclipsed" hits home:

"I read it and I said I know exactly who she is. When I first went to the audition, I asked Danai was it based on real-life women and she asked me ‘How do you know that?’ and I told her that I knew much about their stories ... I have family members, one female cousin, who were involved in the war and I haven’t seen them since the war. So this character was really real to me."

Akosua Busia on why her involvement in "Eclipsed" is personally important:

"This work resonated with me because of the work I’ve been doing with the refugee camp for Liberians. Ghana was one of the countries they fled to. Danai’s writing is so specific and although, as an actress, you cannot put every [thing] on that stage, you have to do your best and bring some kind of homage to the people who went through that."

Saycon Sengbloh on telling the story of her countrywomen:

"I’m really proud. I think it’s really awesome to be a part of something like this, in terms of making history."

Now that it’s off-season, NFL free agent Reggie Bush has some extra time on his hands. The running back was spotted after a workout session with his wife Lilit Avagyan in L.A. yesterday.

Reggie will be turning 31 next week. We wonder what his wife and children have planned to celebrate his birthday.

Since saying “I Do” over the weekend, Ne-Yo and his pregnant wife Crystal Renay are gearing up for their reality TV debut. The couple will give an inside look at their engagement party on BET’s upcoming show “About The Business.”

Crystal stars on the reality show that will follow a tight-knit group of Hollywood professionals who are navigating life in L.A. Other castmates include “Born Again Virgin” star Eva Marcille, celebrity stylist EJ King, public relations consultant Sparkle Holmes, marketing guru Danielle Crawley.

After a cancelled performance and some delayed tour dates, Rihanna was on the scene for the 2016 BRIT Awards to rock the stage at the O2 Arena.

Folks were wondering if she would make it to the awards ceremony after she cancelled her Grammy performance at the last minute and pushed back some dates for her upcoming ANTI World Tour. There were conflicting rumors on the real issue behind it all, some claiming there were production issues while others said it was bronchitis.

Either way, she was front-and-center on the red carpet ahead of the festivities. The “BBHMM” singer sashayed down the carpet in a lavender tiered Armani Prive couture gown from the Spring 2016 collection. She topped her look off with a black, sleek bob and accessorized with Jack Vartanian diamond earrings and Casa Reale diamond bracelets and ring.

Then she hit the stage in a frilly white ensemble...

...with a special guest. Drake made a surprise appearance to get it poppin'.

RiRi put in work on Drizzy as he rapped his verses.  We see she's been working on those skills...

And the crowd loved every minute of it! The chemistry is there, but we respect them just being friends.  Allegedly.

Michael B. Jordan has signed on for the remake of crime thriller The Thomas Crown Affair. Get the deets on his new gig and find out when Nate Parker's slave revolt film Birth Of A Nation hits theaters inside…

Following a stellar run at the box office, Michael B. Jordan is ready to tackle his next project.  And we're ready to drool over watch him doing it.

According to THR, the sexy CREED actor is teaming up again with MGM for a remake of heist thriller The Thomas Crown Affair. Insiders say Michael came up with the idea, pitched it to MGM execs, and the deal was made.

This time, Michael will be working behind-the-scenes to help develop the film. It’s still early in development, so he may just play a role or make a cameo, but that has not been confirmed.

The crime drama was originally released in 1968, followed by MGM making the first remake in 1999. The film follows a businessman who conducted robberies on the side. An insurance investigator started tracking him down and somehow the two began a love affair.

In other movie news...

Nate Parker’s Birth Of A Nation took over this year’s Sundance Film Festival winning two TOP awards (U.S. Grand Jury Prize & the Audience Award) AND landing a record-breaking $17.5 million deal with FOX Spotlight. YAS!

Now, the most talked about film at Sundance has been given a release date for the masses. The slave revolt drama is expected to hit theaters October 7th, positioning itself for an Oscar nomination. October is prime time for films gunning for an Oscar. By the way, Nate wrote, produced and directed the passion project that was 7 years in the making.

After stopping by the White House for a screening of her new show a few days ago, the YBF actress is now on the promo trail for the upcoming slave drama series “Underground.” The YBF chick dished on what fans can expect before the show premieres March 9th at 10/9c on WGN America.

During her interview, she also talked about growing up in showbiz with her siblings. She said after a recurring role on “Family Matters,” ABC studio execs wanted to give Jurnee her own spin-off show, but her mom rejected the idea. She said her mom was exhausted with 5 kids in the entertainment industry and said the only way she would agree to another series is if all of her children could star on one show.

For the audition, Jurnee revealed she and her siblings performed Public Enemy's "Shut 'Em Down" together. Ha! It must have worked because they all nabbed a role on the sitcom “On Our Own.”

Later, she talked her unique name and how people are constantly pronouncing it wrong.

Rapper A$AP Rocky is speaking out following reports that said he was JUMPED by three men in a hotel elevator in New Zealand yesterday.

The Harlem native hopped on Twitter posting a picture of his face to show he was not harmed during the assault. A$AP down played the incident calling it a “lil scuffle” and that he’s still pretty:

Sources on the scene tell TMZ, A$AP entered an elevator with some chicks when three men tried to board the elevator with them. It’s reported A$AP told the men there wasn’t enough room for them to get on and that’s when all hell broke loose.

The men allegedly started punching him in head and face while he supposedly tried to protect the women that were on the elevator. The guys supposedly yelled out “F*ck A$AP!” as they were assaulting him.

The fight continued until hotel security broke it up. Cops soon arrived on the scene where they caught one of the men and booked him for assault and resisting arrest.

Glad he's OK! And it's a good thing the culprits didn’t mess up his face now that he has been booking modeling gigs.

Another update on a celebrity brawl.....

Former Philadelphia Eagles baller LeSean McCoy can thank his lucky stars.

According to the Buffalo News, LeSean isn't expected to be brought up on charges for his involvement in a brawl with a few cops in Philly this past Super Bowl Sunday.

We showed you the leaked video of the Buffalo Bills baller tussling with the off-duty officers outside of Recess nightclub. It was reported that two of the officers had to seek medical attention after the incident.

Now, a source has come forth to reveal LeSean will likely dodge any charges, although no official decision have been made as the investigation continues. The source did say one of his homeboys will likely face charges for the altercation. It’s unclear at the moment on the extent of his possible charges.

LeSean, take this as lesson learned!

Fresh from his TIDAL announcement, T.I. stopped by V-103 in Atlanta to dish on his upcoming bundle of joy with his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris.

The ATL native revealed he and his wife are expecting a baby….

GIRL!

Aww. The couple will be welcoming a baby girl to their clan. And she will be here very soon.

Tip shared the baby's due date is April 20th. Baby girl has about two more months to bake before she makes her grand arrival. This will be the couple’s second daughter together after delivering a stillborn baby girl (whom they named daughter Leyah Amore Harris) back in 2007.

The new baby will join her siblings Zonnique (Tiny’s daughter from a previous relationship), Messiah, Domani, Deyjah (T.I.’s kids from previous relationships), King and Major.

Tyga opens up about his beef with Drake and his controversial relationship with Kylie Jenner in a new interview. Meanwhile, Elton John is bashing Janet Jackson for not singing live during her concerts. Bloop! Deets inside….

Tyga came under a lot of scrutiny for his relationship with reality star Kylie Jenner. The 26-year-old west coast rapper started dating the reality star before she hit the legal age of 18 (which she celebrated last August). They were often spotted out together, but remained mum on their relationship up until she became legal. 

T-Raww has kept quiet about the backlash, until now. In a candid interview with radio personality Shay Diddy at 106 KMEL in San Francisco, he opened up about how he's handling being criticized for dating an underage girl.

“I don’t know,” Tyga said. “It’s kinda hard to talk about that because people are gonna bash. I didn’t understand it though because I’m like, ‘This person is a really good person.’ It’s almost like, the devil keeps trying to tell me something to not follow God, just let God do what he want to do. So, I don’t really know how to speak on that because it’s just something I have to deal with. A lot of things in life, you just gotta deal with it as it comes. That’s what I learned.”

What he fails to realize is the negative backlash had nothing to do with whether Kylie was a good person or not. Folks were going in about his relationship because he is a GROWN man dating a child. Interestingly enough, he said he feels like his age is what helped him help her get through the public scrutiny.

“Me being older than her, I’ve been through a lot more things, so I can help her more with it,” Tyga said. “Even though she’s been more in tabloid media limelight than I have been, I can see that because I know what type of person she is. I know what she deals with.”

Oh.

He’s still missing the fact that at one point he was messing with a CHILD and that’s why people had so much to say about their relationship. People had a problem with them dating because there's this little law called statutory rape. Hmph.

Changing subjects, the "Rack City" rapper also dished on his beef with Young Money labelmate Drake and how the media played a big part in their feud. He also shared how Kanye West helped them squash their beef and resolve their issues.

“It was really never no problem,” said Tyga. “It was miscommunication. It was media. Then, once you get into the petty game, it’s just like let’s be petty all day. It was just media and stuff. We never really had a problem. Over time, people grow apart. You don’t know what the other side is feeling…and you just lose that communication with somebody. And then, we just linked up. Ye [Kanye West] put us in the room when he had, I think it was Yeezy Season 2, and we just chopped it up for a long time about a lot of stuff.”

Later, Tyga talked about how Justin Bieber put him on to SnapChat. Can you guess what attracted him to the social media app? Girls!

“I was in the studio with Justin Bieber”, the “Ayo” rapper said. “It was like three years ago. We did this record and he was like, ‘Bro, are you on Snapchat?’ I was like, ‘What is that?’ He was like, ‘Snapchat. Girls, they can send you pictures and you can delete them and it deletes.’ I was like, ‘What is that?’ He set my Snapchat up for me and I never knew how to use it so I never used it…I had it for like three-and-a-half years. I just never knew how to use it. [Now] Snapchat’s cool.”

We find it odd that he revealed he joined SnapChat to bag chicks while talking about his relationship with Kylie. Maybe she’s unbothered by it.

The "Stimulated" rapper also talked about never meeting his dad, a new movie he’s producing, his reality show “Kingin’ With Tyga” getting renewed for a new season and more.

Chile! Elton John is NOT here for Janet Jackson lip-syncing during her shows.

The shady singer, who collaborated with Janet on his album Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida, sat down with Rolling Stone to give his opinion about critics calling Janet’s show the “greatest show ever.” And he held NOTHING back.

"You know, f*cking music magazines writing a review of Janet Jackson saying, 'This is the greatest show – four and a half stars,’” he said. “It's f*cking lip-synced! Hello! That's not a show! I'd rather go and see a drag queen. F*ck off."

SAVAGE!

Janet isn’t the only star Elton has called out about lip-syncing. Back in 2004, the Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter went OFF on Madonna for doing the same thing. He said,

“Madonna, best live act? Fuck off,” he said. “Since when has lip-syncing been live? Sorry about that, but I think everyone who lip-syncs on stage in public when you pay like 75 quid to see them should be shot. Thank you very much. That’s me off her Christmas card list, but do I give a toss? No.”

The kicker? Daya’s dad Kazembe Ajamu Coleman escorted the twosome around as they hit up each afterparty. Papa Coleman had us in tears when photogs caught up with them and asked if Daya and Odell were dating. His response? “WE are just friends!” Ha!

Since then, Papa Coleman chopped it up with TMZ and said Odell was the perfect gentleman, calling him courteous and respectful. Check it:

Now, the new Cover Girl ambassador is dishing on her “situationship” with the NFL wide receiver. Daya stopped by Hot 97 to chit-chat with radio personality Nessa about her current relationship status. When asked if she and Odell are officially an item, she said,

“My dad said it best, ‘It’s the audition phase!’ It’s an interview. I’m getting to know you. I don’t know yet.”

She then laughed and joked with Nessa about the viral video with her dad and said she appreciates him looking after her.

“Look, I love it,” said Zendaya. “You have to have someone around you like that. I’m cool with it. Just because you’re in the NFL don’t mean you get a pass. You still have to go through dad.”

After hitting up the Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon, Kelly Rowland was back on the scene to hit up another event.

The gorgeous singer stepped out to attend the Cadillac Oscars Week Celebration at the Chateau Marmont hotel for a night of fun.

Before making her way inside, the fab mom sizzled in a chic black jumpsuit and black sandals on the carpet giving chicks a run for their money. Werk!

The upcoming “Chasing Destiny” host celebrated her 35th birthday last week with a star-studded affair. Kelly’s former bandmates Beyonce and Michelle Williams came out to celebrate with her. We loved the mini DC reunion.

Still no word on when "Chasing Destiny" will premiere on BET.

In the meantime, Kellz has been working hard in the studio on some new music while taking care of her baby boy Titan.

Well this is a shocker! MSNBC host Melissa Harris Perry is boycotting her own show. And she has plenty of reasons why. Find out inside….

MSNBC anchor Melissa Harris Perry is making a bold statement. She is refusing to return to host her own show after claims that the show was taken away from her and loss of editorial control.

The Wake Forest professor, who hosted the weekend program on MSNBC since 2012, sent out an email to her staff this week explaining why she decided to walk away from the show she put so much effort into.

She writes,

"Here is the reality: our show was taken — without comment or discussion or notice — in the midst of an election season. After four years of building an audience, developing a brand, and developing trust with our viewers, we were effectively and utterly silenced. Now, MSNBC would like me to appear for four inconsequential hours to read news that they deem relevant without returning to our team any of the editorial control and authority that makes MHP Show distinctive"

Melissa takes it THERE demanding she will NOT be used as a tool. She says she would love to continue hosting her show if she’s given creative control as she once was, but she’s not willing to return until there is a change. She continued,

“The purpose of this decision seems to be to provide cover for MSNBC, not to provide voice for MHP Show. I will not be used as a tool for their purposes. I am not a token, mammy, or little brown bobble head. I am not owned by Lack [NBC News Chairman Andrew Lack], Griffin [MSNBC President Phil Griffin], or MSNBC. I love our show. I want it back. I have wept more tears than I can count and I find this deeply painful, but I don’t want back on air at any cost. I am only willing to return when that return happens under certain terms"

In fact, she hasn’t heard much from the "powers that be" after countless forms of communication on her end to get an official update on the state of her show. And she’s hurt that MSNBC doesn’t see her potential.

“I have hosted a weekly program on this network for four years and contributed to election coverage on this network for nearly eight years, but no one on the third floor has even returned an email, called me, or initiated or responded to any communication of any kind from me for nearly a month. It is profoundly hurtful to realize that I work for people who find my considerable expertise and editorial judgment valueless to the coverage they are creating.”

But, she isn’t letting the MSNBC bigwigs define her worth. She’s very confident in the woman she is and doesn’t plan on compromising that at any cost.

"While MSNBC may believe that I am worthless, I know better. I know who I am. I know why MHP Show is unique and valuable. I will not sell short myself or this show. I am not hungry for empty airtime. I care only about substantive, meaningful, and autonomous work. When we can do that, I will return — not a moment earlier. I am deeply sorry for the ways that this decision makes life harder for all of you. You mean more to me than you can imagine."

Sucks.

In a phone interview with The NY Times, she had this to say about the ordeal:

“It is perfectly fine, 100% reasonable and perfectly acceptable for MSNBC to decide they no longer want the M.H.P. show. But they should say that, they should cancel the show, they should stand up. And maybe it would be rewarded with huge ratings, but they shouldn’t kill us by attrition and take us off the air without telling anybody, including us. That for me is what’s painful and difficult.”

We agree.

It's still unclear if the show is/will be cancelled, but we do know you won’t be seeing Melissa on air until the network makes some major changes. KUDOS to her for standing up and making such a bold move as this!

Our fave pre-Oscar event was the most lit place to be Thursday afternoon.  Essence Magazine hosted its annual 'Black Women In Hollywood' brunch, sponsored by The Lincoln Motor Company, at The Beverly Wilshire where all of our faves came out to honor three outstanding women in the television and film industry: Tracee Ellis Ross, Entertainment Attorney Nina Shaw and the legendary Debbie Allen.

Before tears were cried by everyone in the room during the emotional acceptance speeches, the red carpet was LIT with melanin and fierceness.

Meagan Good kept it super pretty in this hi-low watercolor print dress and a fresh face.  She was on hand to present an award to budding actor Thais Francis.

Letoya Luckett gave us life in this gorgeous white jumpsuit and green snakeskin Jimmy Choo shoes.  The actress' show "Here We Go Again" is definitely a cute look.  Have you watched?!

Speaking of green, writer/creator Mara Brock Akil gave us young and fresh cuteness in this fab Christopher Kane skirt and strappy silver heels.

The R&B songstress, who turned 35 recently, was spotted taking a stroll in Hollywood with her baby boy Titan and a friend. It was a laid back outing as Kellz wore a baggy green shirt, denim shorts and flop flops while hiding behind a pair of sunglasses.

Jennifer Lopez had all eyes on her as she sizzled in a fire red catsuit at the "American Idol XV" Finalists party held at The London Hotel.

On the carpet, she told reporters she was having second thoughts about wearing the daring jumpsuit, but her team persuaded her into rocking it. And it’s a good thing they did. The "American Idol" judge looks AHH-MAZING!

JLo was also spotted in a blush pink tulle Valentino dress and Giusseppe Zanotti sandals as she made her way inside the "American Idol" studio before hitting the judging panel. Have you all been keeping up with with final season?

Blac Chyna, who has been making headlines over her relationship with Rob Kardashian, was spotted solo to run an errand. She was all smiles, rocking neon green wiggery, making her way inside a bank in Calabasas. Chick making sure those coins are right.
