Serena Williams Dishes Relationship Advice & Admits She Had No Idea What “Netflix & Chill” Meant

Serena Williams is dishing love advice in Harper’s Bazaar’s February 2016 issue…just in time for Valentine’s Day. Come inside for the relationship gems she dropped and more inside…

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, tennis superstar Serena Williams is dishing love advice to a few hopeless romantics with relationship dilemmas.

In the February 2016 issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine, the 21-time Grand Slam winner shares some awesome advice about staying true to yourself while in a relationship. A reader in a new relationship wrote in about questioning her self-esteem and confidence, so Rena reassured her on how to stay confident and stong. She said,

“First you need to identify where the self-doubt is coming from. I think that goes back to always being yourself from the beginning. Be confident of your inner strength and beauty, and that will be reflected on the outside. My mom always taught my sisters and me to be ourselves and to stay true to who we are.”

Good advice.

 photo serHB1.jpg

So what’s Serena’s key to being sexy?

“Being sexy is really about how you carry yourself. Strength and confidence equal sexy,” she said.

Well she never lied. She looks AMAZING in the shot above.

One reader needed advice on how to upgrade her man’s wardrobe. Rena had a solution to that:

“Show him
images from magazines and Pinterest that you think would look nice on him, but more important, make sure that you like who he is as a person. I like a man who has a unique style. I'd hate for him to fit into a mold or to blend in with the other guys.”

Then, one reader asked Serena if she was naïve for believing “Netflix & Chill” really meant chilling while watching Netflix movies. The 34-year-old athlete responded,

“I have to tell you, I thought the same exact thing. When I say "Netflix and chill," that's what
I mean. I guess you and I are just old-fashioned—if you can call Netflix old-fashioned!”

Ha!

You can read the rest of her love advice here.

In sports news, Serena will hit the court for the 2016 Australian Open to defend her title this Monday. Good luck Rena!

Yesterday, the 22-year-old actress spoke at a panel discussion during FOX’s 2016 Winter TCA tour held at the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, California. She was joined by her cast mates Julianne Hough, Kether Donahue and Carly Rae Jepson, along with executive producer Marc Platt and director Thomas Kail to chop it up with journalists about the new musical.

Also on the scene...

 photo kpf5.jpg

Well hello there gorgeous!

 photo kpf6.jpg

After hitting the TCA’s for her new show “Shades of Blue” the day before, “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez was a vision in a winter mesh multi-inset dress for the singing competition show’s TCA panel yesterday.

 photo kpf8.jpg

During the panel, she leaned in to chit chat with the show's host Ryan Seacrest and fellow judge Keith Urban before speaking to reported about "The Farewell Season."

It was previously reported this season would be the show's last and final season, but Ryan Seacrest isn't totally convinced. When asked if he thought Idol would eventually return to television during the panel, he responded, "When you’ve got a franchise that has this kind of heritage … and generates X amount of millions of people and sustains — does that mean it’s the end? I’m not so sure."

IF the show was brought back again, they at least have one judge who would consider returning. “Hypothetically, if that happened, ‘American Idol’ has a special place in my heart,” Jennifer Lopez said.“I would always consider.”

DO-GOODERS: Fetty Wap Puts A Smile On A Kid’s Face Who’s Battling A Brain Injury + T.I. Loves The Kids

Fetty Wap and T.I. are still in the do-gooder spirit following the holiday season. Come inside to see how they put a smile on a few kiddies' faces….

A video posted by LaLa (@lala) on

Rapper Fetty Wap did something major! Not on the music charts, but for a well-deserving little boy.

10-year-old Anthony Skipper, dubbed “Superman Anthony,” is a huge Fetty Wap fan who’s battling Hypoxic Anoxic brain injury. He’s currently being treated for his condition, but before he suffered from his injury, he always wanted to meet the "Trap Queen" rapper.

Since his injury, budding actress LaLa Anthony fell in love with him and has been a guardian angel to him and his family (he has 3 younger siblings) so to speak. When she found out Anthony loved Fetty, she called him up and the Patterson native delivered!

Fetty made a personalized video for Superman Anthony greeting him by name, saluting him for being a fighter and then sent up prayers for a speedy recovery. Check Anthony seeing the clip for the first time above. Aww…

We started reading up on Anthony and found out his condition is very rare, but can happen to almost anyone. Here’s his story below:

On August 29, 2015, 10 year old Anthony Skipper suffered a near-drowning accident via seizure while bathing and rescued by his 8 year old brother Willie. He was given CPR by his mother and revived with help from medical personnel. He was without oxygen for at least 15 minutes before EMT got a pulse. Anthony now suffers from Anoxic Brain Injury and has to learn all basic life functions over. He is currently on a ventilator and requires oxygen as well. While in the hospital, Anthony attempted to breathe on his own and he did well! Until one day his lungs filled with fluid and collapsed causing him to get a trach put in his throat. Unfornately it has caused him not to be able to swallow so he has to be suctioned often (placing a tube in his throat to get the secreations out). Anthony has endured so much in his short life on earth. Being born 1 lb 4 oz, having 4 surgeries before the age of 1 and being told several times he wasn’t going to make it. But by the grace of God he is still here FIGHTING!

His mom is currently unable to work due to having to care for Anthony while raising three other children on her own. It has to be tough. The family has set up a Go Fund Me account asking for assistance as they nurse their son and brother back to health. You can donate here.

Tip loves the kids!

T.I. swooped into the DMV area for a performance at the Filmore Silver Spring yesterday. And he had a few friends who tagged along with him. He invited two kiddies to rock out with him on stage as he performed his catalog of hits. The kids looked uber excited to have been given the chance to meet the Atlanta rapper AND hit the stage with him.

The "Whatever You Like" rapper posted the pic above on Instagram and captioned, "1time 4da Real.... Dey rocked wit me da whole show!!!! #DMVwasLIT!!!!! #BankRollMafiaLife #HustleGangOverErrrthang"

Let's give it up to the YBF celebs who continue to give back...even during "off season."

Nicki Minaj & Meek Mill Get Cutesy Courtside At Sixers Game + Meek Starts Beef With 50 Cent + Rihanna Hints At GRAMMY Performance In New CBS Promo

Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill were cuddled up courtside at the Sixers vs. Trailblazers game in Philly last night. Peep their coupledom pics and also check out Rihanna starring in a new CBS promo that suggests she may perform at this year’s Grammys inside…

Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill couldn’t spend New Year’s Eve together to ring in 2016, but they’re getting in lots of coupledom time recently to make up for it.

Last night, the “Anaconda” actress and the MMG rapper took their seats courtside inside the Wells Fargo Center in Philly to watch the Philadelphia 76ers go head-to-head against the Portland TrailBlazers.

The twosome was all wrapped up in love as they smiled and laughed with one another during the game. At one point, Meek was caught hitting the Dab as Nicki laid her head on his shoulder blowing kisses at the cameras.

 photo nmm3.png

 photo nmm2.png

Nicki and Meek couldn’t spend NYE together because Meek is currently on awaiting sentencing after violating his probation, so he couldn't meet her in Vegas for their scheduled show together. A judge ordered him to stay in Philly until he’s due back court in February for sentencing.

 photo nmm4.png

While waiting to find out how much time (if any) your boyfriend might receive is nerve wrecking enough, but Nicki seems to be in good spirits. We see she's still rocking her birthday diamond on THAT finger although she claims she's not engaged.

Speaking of Meek..

 photo Screen Shot 2016-01-17 at 6.39.24 PM.png

The Philly rapper released a new EP titled 4/4 where he goes in on his old enemy Drake. On the track "I'm The Plug Freestyle" (a remix to Drake & Future's "I'm Da Plug") he pops off at Drizzy about not writing his rhymes...again. Meek spit, "Jumpman, Jumpman, Jumpman / Ain't nobody tell 'em this ain't what they want, man / You ain't really write it, I'm like, ‘Who's your stuntman?'"

But that's not the only person Meek came for on his new EP. He also fires shots at 50 Cent another rap beef.

On the track "Gave Em Hope," the Philly rapper starts talking about someone who likes to start ish on Instagram. He starts letting you know who he is referring to in the next few lines rapping, "I got 50 reasons say you're taking dick / And it's 50 reasons I should kill, nigga."

While he didn't drop his name, the "50" references are clear. He also raps, "You know the game, if you cosign a rat, you forever a rat / We were never with that / You tried to go 'Money' May with that paper, but now you in debt cause you never were that"

Meek is reportedly referring to Fif being cool with a "rat". The rat he's referring to is allegedly the groundskeeper Rick Ross allegedly pistol whipped over the summer. Apparently Fif posed in a picture with the groundskeeper at one of his EFFEN events.

Take a listen to the track below:

So, in true 50 Cent style, he started going in on Meek via his social media page:

 photo Screen Shot 2016-01-17 at 6.41.17 PM.png

He captioned, "LMAO Hey shit head, your career is over already.you better focus on getting Nikki pregnant so you can at least get child support girl. new meek emoji lol"

 photo Screen Shot 2016-01-17 at 6.41.59 PM_1.png

Another caption said, "But your honor, I'm not a gangsta, I'm just retarded. Look I went at DRAKE, FUTURE, and 50cent. Smh Shit head! #EFFENVODKA #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO"

By the way, Toronto city councilor Norm Kelly, who loves throwing jabs at Meek, also fired shots at the Dreamchasers rapper on Twitter:

#OscarsSoWhite: Jada Pinkett Smith, Ice Cube & More GO OFF About The Oscars Shutting Out Actors Of Color

 photo JadaPinkettSmith73rdAnnualGoldenGlobedi06qWxopAal_zpsqk3uxy6i.jpg

Now that #OscarsSoWhite has swept the net, A-list celebs are stepping up to co-sign.  Find out what Jada Pinkett Smith, Ice Cube, Chris Rock and more said about it inside...

No black actors, or any actors of color, were nominated for any of the major or acting categories for the upcoming Academy Awards.  For the second year in a row.

In a time where performances from the Concussion, Dope, Straight Outta Compton casts -- just to name a few -- were top of the line, it seems like a possible intentional slight toward folks of color.  Even the Academy President, Cheryl Boone Isaacs (who is black), says she was disappointed.

Jada Pinkett Smith took notice that her husband's performance in Concussion was ignored.  And so were all people of color.  She took to her Facebook page to ask if we should boycott.  The tv and film star recently said:

At the Oscars...people of color are always welcomed to give out awards...even entertain, but we are rarely recognized for our artistic accomplishments. Should people of color refrain from participating all together? People can only treat us in the way in which we allow. With much respect in the midst of deep disappointment, J.

Hmph.

Chris Rock, who signed on to host months ago, isn't shy about blasting the Academy either.  He posted the below promo with a hilarious caption:

The #Oscars. The White BET Awards.

A video posted by Chris Rock (@chrisrock) on

"The #Oscars. The White BET Awards."

Ha!

Ice Cube rolled to Angie Martinez's show on Friday.  And it was a doozy.  He was his usual no-holds-barred self and said maybe they should have added a slave to SOC in order to get a nomination.  Bloop.

 photo Screen Shot 2016-01-17 at 12.53.24 PM_zps4styb8xr.png

Lastly, producer of Ride Along 2, Will Packer, put his 2 cents in.  Before catching up with Kandi Burruss and baby Ace Wells Tucker yesterday, he called for more scripts for more black actors in general.  But he also says it's unfair to those white actors who earned their nominations who are being overshadowed by the #OscarsSoWhite narrative.

Hmmm, we think they'll be fine.

Here's his statement in full:

I want to congratulate all of the Academy Award nominees. These people are quite deserving of being recognized as the best in their field this year. I especially want to congratulate screenwriters Jon Herman and Andrea Berloff who had the unenviable task of bringing the complex true story of 'America's Most Dangerous Group' to life in Straight Outta Compton. Your nomination is well deserved.
But who I REALLY want to applaud are some other actors, directors and producers who were at the top of their game this year. A list that includes, but is not limited to, Idris Elba, Michael B. Jordan, Will Smith, John Boyega, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Tessa Thompson, Audra McDonald, Adepero Oduye, Samuel L.Jackson, Oshea Jackson Jr, Jason Mitchell, Corey Hawkins, F. Gary Gray and Ryan Coogler. Yes, they made us laugh. Yes, they made us cry. Yes, they made us angry. Yes, they made us think. Yes, they are all black. No, not one was nominated for the movie industry's highest honor. I also give extra special props (and I can understand if you think this comes with a little bias) to a team that I think was egregiously overlooked by The Academy—Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, F. Gary Gray and Scott Bernstein - what you did was incredible. Many people have no idea about the YEARS that you labored to bring an incredibly challenging and complicated biopic to the big screen. Most have no idea of ALL the seemingly insurmountable obstacles that you had to navigate to make Straight Outta Compton a reality. But I'm not giving you props for that. I know firsthand how incredibly difficult (and what a small MIRACLE) it is for EVERY single movie to get made. No, you get major props because you overcame those odds AND... the movie was GREAT. It was absolutely freaking EXCELLENT. Without a doubt one of the BEST producural efforts of the year. Even though I'm definitely disappointed that The Academy voters did not see it so, I take great solace in knowing that that's not why you made the movie. The impact is undeniable and your legacies are cemented. Congratulations.

To my ‪#‎OscarsSoWhite‬ folks who are angry at the absurd lack of diversity highlighted yet again by this year's Oscar noms. Trust me, I get it. Those of us in the industry who labor to make the best content we can are especially sensitive to a perceived systemic bias against a group of people or type of film. One thing I will say, is that The Academy's voting record is only part of the issue. These films/performances and the scripts that drive them often go into development YEARS before they are released and thus in Oscar contention. We need more content produced by, written by, directed by and featuring filmmakers and actors of color being given the greenlight. We need them to start moving forward this year so in 2019 there are quality projects in contention! Although there were multiple performances and films that existed this year(and were overlooked), we still need more. We need those of us in the industry, and those outside trying to get in, to continue to push Hollywood to create opportunities for these films so that we have more than a handful each year.

To my Academy colleagues, WE HAVE TO DO BETTER. Period. The reason the rest of the world looks at us like we have no clue is because in 2016 it's a complete embarrassment to say that the heights of cinematic achievement have only been reached by white people. I repeat—it's embarrassing. It's unfair to the performers of color who sacrificed so much, laid it all on the line AND DELIVERED with their projects this year. It's also unfair to the white actors, writers, producers and directors who gave everything they had to create career defining content only to have it marred by the fact that a lack of diversity calls into question the legitimacy of The Academy's choices.

I applaud Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs for her recent attempts to bring more diversity to The Academy. I applaud Producer Reginald Hudlin on his attempts to make the Oscar ceremony feel as inclusionary as possible. I look forward to working with them both to be a part of positive change going forward. WE must do better. We will. And make no mistake, we have. Even in the midst of this year's disappointing results I am emboldened by the fact that we had new and exciting diverse voices and performers along with tried and true veterans that were at least in the conversation. Strides have definitely been made. And it's not lost on me that this very weekend the movie that just might supplant one of the highest grossing movies of all time for the #1 spot at the box office is a movie that has two stars, a director and a producer who happen to be black. Happy MLK Weekend everybody.

Kevin Hart and Ice Cube have another blockbluster film on their hands. The dynamic duo totally swept the box office this weekend dethroning Star Wars: The Force Awakens. More inside….

Ride Along 2 is a hit! The hilarious sequel took over the box office this weekend landing in the No. 1 spot. And get this, the comedy flick was able to knock action thriller Star Wars: The Force Awakens out the No. 1 spot after sitting there for four weeks straight. Nice!

 photo LED2.jpg

Ride Along 2 raked in a cool $34 million the first 3-days in theaters and is estimated to bring in $39.5-$40.5 million over the four-day weekend. This is Kevin Hart’s SIXTH No.1 opener and it is the NINTH No. 1 opener for Ice Cube (as an actor) and producer Will Packer. CONGRATS!

While the sequel is doing great at the box office, it didn’t top to the original movie’s box office numbers that raked in $41.5 million it’s opening weekend. But, it wasn’t that far off.

Meek Mill just dropped new visuals to his track “The Trillest” amid a rap beef with 50 Cent. Come inside to see his new visuals with his boo Nicki Minaj and 50’s latest Meek diss memes.

Also, Kanye West just dropped a new track “No More Parties In L.A.” featuring Kendrick Lamar.

This has been an eventful weekend for Meek Mill…to say the least. He dropped his new EP 4/4 that started a firestorm of Internet slander by none other than 50 Cent. We’ll get to more on that in a few.

The Philly rapper rested his “Instafingers” long enough to drop his new visuals for his track “The Trillest,” a cut from his Dreams Worth More Than Money album that dropped last year.

In the clip, we see Meek and his girlfriend Nicki Minaj doing regular coupledom ish while on the “Pinkprint” tour, like making a run to the store and playing on an arcade basketball game. We also see Meek hanging out with his homies and rocking out on stage. Peep the video below:

In other Meek news...

We told you Meek and 50 Cent were “online beefing” after the MMG rapper came for Fif on a track off his 4/4 EP. In so many words, Meek called 50 a RAT and y’all know Fif isn’t going to let that ish fly. The Power star has been roasting Meek on Instagram since he found out about the diss. Meek popped back, reading the NYC rapper for filth, but that hasn’t stopped 50 from his continued antics.

Below are his newest memes and clap backs:

 photo mkv1.png

 photo mkv3.png

50 captioned, "LMAO I'm Mad I don't get the kill for my record, this is one for the books. Shit Head."

 photo mkv2.jpg

The "Power" star and producer even dug up some old tweets by Meek:

 photo Screen Shot 2016-01-18 at 1.17.45 PM.png

He captioned, "I Guess when your a sh*thead, you forget things or change your mind because there's so much sh*t going on in your Head. #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO"

A video posted by 50 Cent (@50cent) on

Oh Fif....

By the way, 50 isn't the only one STILL going in on Meek. Toronto city councilor Norm Kelly still has NO chill and fired another diss at Meek:

Ha!

In other music news....

 photo nmpla1.jpg

Kanye West missed the mark on Friday for his #EveryFriday series, but he made sure to drop some new tunes soon after for his fans.

For his latest musical offering, he joins forces with west coast rapper Kendrick Lamar on “No More Parties In L.A.” On the 6-minute Madlib-produced track, the Chi-town rapper addresses issues like fame, fatherhood and he even calls out his cousin that stole his laptop again. He also mentioned his theiving cousin on his recently released track “Real Friends.” That cousin must have really gotten under Ye's skin.

Kanye’s wife took to Twitter to explain why his track didn’t drop on Friday saying, "I soooo didn't mean to lie to you guys about GOOD FRIDAYS coming back. Kanye flew to Italy for a Yeezy Season 3 fitting. He flew Noah ["40" Shebib] out with him so he could finish "No More Parties In L.A." & wrote 90 bars on the plane there!!!”

Take a listen below:

Yeezy has confirmed he will be dropping his new album SWISH on February 11th during NY Fashion Week.

While Dr. King's famous quotes about peace, love, justice and equality are floating around the internet all day today, the Nobel Peace Prize Organization just released the famed orator and civil rights activist's full Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech from 1964.

At the age of 35, King (pictured above receiving a birthday cake from Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis), was the youngest man to have received the Nobel Peace Prize.  It's not surprising that the man who made his entire life's purpose a search for equality and justice, put the prize money in a much needed place. He announced that he would turn over the prize money of $54,123 to further the civil rights movement.

The speech is a rare find, usually only pieces of the speech are heard and this is the organization's first time formally releasing the speech in its entirety.

Check out a snippet below, and get the full actual video of the speech HERE.

Jada Pinkett Smith Posts New Video To Say She's Boycotting Oscars + Spike Lee & More Speak Up

 photo Screen Shot 2016-01-18 at 4.08.12 PM_zpsf1daqywn.png

Jada Pinkett Smith is taking things another step forward by actually boycotting the Oscars.  There's a few other A-listers doing the same.  Get the deets inside and what Jada said in her new video...

Jada Pinkett Smith is back on her Facebook page today, this time with a video talking about her plans to boycott the Oscars.

Recently, she posed the question about what we, as the black community, should do as a solution to constantly being overlooked by mainstream organizations.  Now, she's taking it one step forward and saying she and Will Smith will not be attending, nor watching, this year's Oscars.  She also said maybe it's time blacks took their money and put it in resources that benefit us as a community. She says begging and pleading diminishes our power.

Sounds great in theory, and we can only hope The Smiths, arguably one of the richest couples in Hollywood, actually put their money where their mouths are.  It'll also be interesting to see exactly which "resources" the money should feed into.  And it'll be even more interesting to see just how many black celebs attend this year's NAACP Awards and other Award shows that cater to people of color.

Check out the video in its entirety below:

We must stand in our power.

Posted by Jada Pinkett Smith on Monday, January 18, 2016

Niecy Nash doesn't think that a boycott is necessarily the solution.

“I don't know if avoiding it altogether is going to help, but I just think we have to continue to move forward,” the Getting On actress told ET.

“We have this awareness and this spotlight -- we've got to look at other work. There’s other work out there that I think was missed. We’ve just got to do better.”

Spike Lee, though, co-signed the boycott.  The latest recipient of the Honorary Oscar wrote on his Instagram:

#OscarsSoWhite... Again.

I Would Like To Thank President Cheryl Boone Isaacs And The Board Of Governors Of The Academy Of Motion Pictures Arts And Sciences For Awarding Me an Honorary Oscar This Past November. I Am Most Appreciative. However My Wife, Mrs. Tonya Lewis Lee And I Will Not Be Attending The Oscar Ceremony This Coming February. We Cannot Support It And Mean No Disrespect To My Friends, Host Chris Rock and Producer Reggie Hudlin, President Isaacs And The Academy. But, How Is It Possible For The 2nd Consecutive Year All 20 Contenders Under The Actor Category Are White? And Let's Not Even Get Into The Other Branches. 40 White Actors In 2 Years And No Flava At All. We Can't Act?! WTF!! It's No Coincidence I'm Writing This As We Celebrate The 30th Anniversary Of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday. Dr. King Said "There Comes A Time When One Must Take A Position That Is Neither Safe, Nor Politic, Nor Popular But He Must Take It Because Conscience Tells Him It's Right". For Too Many Years When The Oscars Nominations Are Revealed, My Office Phone Rings Off The Hook With The Media Asking Me My Opinion About The Lack Of African-Americans And This Year Was No Different. For Once, (Maybe) I Would Like The Media To Ask All The White Nominees And Studio Heads How They Feel About Another All White Ballot. If Someone Has Addressed This And I Missed It Then I Stand Mistaken.

As I See It, The Academy Awards Is Not Where The "Real" Battle Is. It's In The Executive Office Of The Hollywood Studios And TV And Cable Networks. This Is Where The Gate Keepers Decide What Gets Made And What Gets Jettisoned To "Turnaround" Or Scrap Heap. This Is What's Important. The Gate Keepers. Those With "The Green Light" Vote. As The Great Actor Leslie Odom Jr. Sings And Dances In The Game Changing Broadway Musical HAMILTON, "I WANNA BE IN THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENS". People, The Truth Is We Ain't In Those Rooms And Until Minorities Are, The Oscar Nominees Will Remain Lilly White. (Cont'd)

Filmmaker John Singleton caught heat for his new story in Variety magazine.  He said the issue is the lack of black films all around.  After folks tried to come for him, he went to his Instagram to clarify:

Let me make one thing clear.... When I speak on a subject my views are my own. I don't comment on any view for attention or to be accepted. This morning an article appeared in Variety about the controversy of this years Oscars and no black nominees... The uproar is valid. But I took another view and spoke about how there are so many slots to be nominated and many choices for talent to be honored... Every year there are movies that don't get an Oscar nomination... And every year we end up remembering the ones that didn't get consideration more than the nominees or winners... Boyz n the Hood, Do the Right Thing, weren't nominated in the years they were in consideration but these films are classics now.. To folks that want to Boycott the Oscars that is a valid position to have... The real fight I think is to support each other as artists and a collective to make more films... It's seems black folks in Hollywood rally when something like this happens but when young filmmakers need to be supported... New visions need to be financed and discovered everyone is looking for self... Let's have solidarity terms of doing good work and supporting each other as artists...that's what I bang on.. The demographic of Americais constantly evolving and changing so will all its institutions including the Oscars.

Still....#OscarsSoWhite

Meanwhile their co-stars are in Miami....

Last night, Phaedra Parks, her son Dylan and Kim Fields attended a watch party with congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson to check out last night’s episode.

On the show, there was a segment where the ladies were invited to chop it up with several prominent members of Congress. Unfortunately, Kim’s son was sleepy and a bit cranky, so she had to excuse herself. Sheree tried to check her, but Kim said she felt she had nothing to be sorry for. She was caring for her child and that's her priority.

But, she’s seemingly making up for it now. After hanging out with congresswoman Wilson last night, the “RHOA” stars attended the 23rd Annual MLK Scholarship Breakfast at Jungle Island. The scholarship program was organized by Congresswoman Wilson and it money raised will go to 81 scholars to help them with their higher education.

FEEL GOOD NEWS: Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas Plays FIRST NFL Game In Front Of His MOM

 photo dtmom1.png

Get your tissues! Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas is currently on cloud 9. Not only did he and his team advance to the Conference Championship game, but he also played his FIRST NFL game in front of his mother! Find out how President Barack Obama made it happen inside…

Sunday’s divisional game was an emotional one, but for more reasons than one.

The Denver Broncos knocked out the Pittsburgh Steelers, 23-16, during the NFL’s divisional round as teams try to beat their opponents to make it to the Super Bowl. The Broncos were victorious with a win. And for wide receiver Demaryius Thomas this win was super special…a day he’ll live to remember forever.

The playoff game was the very first NFL game his mom, Katrina Smith, allowed to attend. President Obama pardoned the 46-year-old non-violent first-time offender over the summer where she had served 15 years in federal prison.

Katrina got locked up back in 2000, when Demaryius was just 12-years-old, on drug trafficking charges. Since being released, she wasn’t able to travel. But, this past Sunday was the first day she could leave, so she made her way to see her son out on the field. Aww….

 photo dtmom2.png

And mama came to rep here baby. She rocked a customized jersey with her son's number and her nickname across the back.

After the win, quarterback Peyton Manning gifted Katrina with the game ball. Sweet!

Demaryius talked to reporters after the game and couldn't help but gush over how happy he was that his mother was there. "It's very special,” he said. “She came out, got to see us win a game, her first time here, her first time seeing me play. It felt great, a really special feeling."

Loves it !

Major congrats to the Broncos AND the Carolina Panthers to advancing to the Conference Championship game. The Broncos will battle against the New England Patriots and the Panthers wil go head-to-head against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Who do you have?

In a new video...

Jeezy is honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a powerful new video titled, “Sweet Life” featuring WONDALAND honcho Janelle Monae.

Debuting on CNN today, the “Sweet Life” video treatments helps bring awareness to police brutality, criminal justice reform and Hip Hop becoming a global presence. The Atlanta rapper talked about the new visuals telling the news network,

“Ever since I came into this music game, I’ve tried to make motivational music, whether you’re on the corner hustling or in the corner office making power moves. ‘Sweet Life’ is no different, but it’s a bit more of a personal track because I rap about my own trials and tribulations. I wanted this video, with Janelle Monáe, to show what could have happened to me and does happen to African Americans every day.”

Nice. “Sweet Life” is a cut from his latest album Church in These Streets that dropped in November. Check get the visuals above.

SAVAGE -- Janet "Original Aunt Viv" Hubert Just SNAPPED On Jada Pinkett Smith (And Will) About That Oscars Boycott

Straight from the hallowed halls of her kitchen, Janet Hubert -- the original Aunt Viv from "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" -- is popping off (again) about the Smiths. Find out how she snapped inside...

"I find it ironic that somebody who has made their living and has made millions and millions of dollars from the very people that you’re talking about boycotting just because you didn’t get a nomination...? That’s not the way life works," said Janet Hubert in response to Jada Pinkett Smith's call to boycott the Oscars.

Bloop.

It's no secret Janet Hubert isn't checking for anything close to Will Smith.  She has blasted him on numerous occasions for his alleged actions she found unforgivable when they both starred on "Fresh Prince."  Apparently, she wanted the cast to band together to hold out for more money - just like the "Friends" cast did a few years later.   Will wasn't having it, according to her, and took his coin and went on about his business.  She also once accused him of being part of the reason she was replaced by Daphne Reid.

Fast forward to Monday night when Janet caught wind of Jada's Oscar boycott video.  She posted a rant, as well as her own video, in response.

 photo Screen Shot 2016-01-19 at 12.10.59 AM_zpsafzgejyy.png

Chile. There's more.

When someone in the comments of her below video accused her of just being a bitter Betty, she popped back with this:

 photo Screen Shot 2016-01-19 at 12.03.48 AM_zpsqgjm8z1p.png

Lordt.  Check out her full video response below where she reads for filth:

BONUS: Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs put out a statement Monday night to address the uproar about the lack of diversity among the Oscar nominations:

I’d like to acknowledge the wonderful work of this year’s nominees. While we celebrate their extraordinary achievements, I am both heartbroken and frustrated about the lack of inclusion. This is a difficult but important conversation, and it’s time for big changes. The Academy is taking dramatic steps to alter the makeup of our membership. In the coming days and weeks we will conduct a review of our membership recruitment in order to bring about much-needed diversity in our 2016 class and beyond.

As many of you know, we have implemented changes to diversify our membership in the last four years. But the change is not coming as fast as we would like. We need to do more, and better and more quickly.

This isn’t unprecedented for the Academy. In the ‘60s and ‘70s it was about recruiting younger members to stay vital and relevant. In 2016, the mandate is inclusion in all of its facets: gender, race, ethnicity and sexual orientation. We recognize the very real concerns of our community, and I so appreciate all of you who have reached out to me in our effort to move forward together.

J.Cole and Creed director Ryan Coogler had a brief discussion on stage, and some revealing things occurred.  One big reveal in particular, J.Cole is already married!

Cole and his longtime girlfriend Melissa became around or a bit before January of last year, and we never heard anything else.  So it makes sense that the twosome could have already gotten married by now.
