Oh, what a night!  Rihanna, draped in champagne Dior, hosted her 2nd annual Diamond Ball last night in Hollywood.  Check out the fab list of stars she brought in to raise millions for her Clara Lionel Foundation honoring her grandparents, and what she said about kids and their education.

The second annual Diamond Ball to benefit the Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF) went down last night at The Barker Hangerin Santa Monica.  Rihanna tapped her fave celebrity friends to come out in their best Black Tie gear and pay up for a cause.

After last year's fabulous inaugural Ball raked in tons of mula, the gorgeous pop star brought out the rich and fabulous folks in Hollywood to do it again. 

The CLF was founded in 2012 by Rihanna to honor her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite. The Foundation works to improve the quality of life for communities globally in the areas of health, education, arts and culture. Rihanna's inspiring history of service to others continues in CLF's mission, programs and partnerships.

Rihanna told the crowd last night about why she created a global scholarship,"I don't believe it's fair children carry the burden of financing their education."

So why not tap your super rich friends to support your cause?

Kevin Hart was tapped to host the festivities, which included an auction.  He rocked a D Squared tux while his fiance Eniko rocked a sexy satin slip dress by Juan Carlos Obando.

Rihanna hit the carpet with her family.  Her aunt and little cousin Majesty were front and center with her in front of the cameras.

Will and Jada Pinkett Smith hit the carpet looking like royalty.  Just freakin' gorgeous.

We remember seeing her with her husband Tim Leissner and baby Wolfe Lee a few months ago in Beverly Hills making a stop at the store to make sure things were running smoothly.

Baby Wolfe Lee Leissner and big brother Kenzo Lee Hounsou were there to support mom's newest project.

Radio host Downtown Julie Brown was also in the mix. Kenzo is getting so big and he's so adorable.

The Perfect Guy starlet Sanaa Lathan stepped out to support her friend’s new KLS boutique.

The 44-year-old stunna got white HOT in a spaghetti strapped shirt and hip-hugging skirt that showed off her amazing curves. She finished her look with a pair of black caged sandals and a long textured bob.

YAS! Serve Sanaa. She smized for the gawds as she posed it up alongside composer/classical pianist Chloe Flower.

All three ladies had a girls' chat session where they shared plenty of laughs.

At another event on the east coast....

Supermodel Chanel Iman turned heads when she showed up at the Jordan x Public School fashion presentation at Terminal 23 in NYC. The 25-year-old, who celebrated a birthday last week, slipped into a mini printed dress and a hot pair of black thigh-high PVC boots. She accessorized her look with a blue Dior mini bag.

The DOPE star made it a girls night out with her model friend Stephanie Bertram-Rose.

On the front row, the Victoria's Secret model linked up with her bestie Heidy De la Rosa.

Then, rapper Fabolous took his spot on the front row before the show. Fun times.

Last night was the official opening night of the Broadway musical "The Color Purple" at the  Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. At the end of the show, Broadway newbie Jennifer Hudson was overcome with emotion after a stellar performance.

Alice Walker, who wrote the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, received a standing ovation.

“The Wiz Live!” actress Shanice Williams got cute in a purple frock to check out the hit Broadway musical.

"Being Mary Jane" star Maragret Avery was also on the scene for opening night. She played Shug Avery in the 1985 film.

“Orange Is The New Black” stars Uzo Aduba, Laverne Cox and Samira Wiley (who all looked amazing) came out to show support of their friend/co-star Danielle Brooks for her Broadway debut as Sophia, the role played in the film version by Oprah.

“Empire” star Gabourey Sidibe took a break from the Golden Globe celebrations to peep the show.

NBC anchor Tamron Hall looked stunning in a white long sleeve dress and gold peep toe pumps.

"CBS This Morning" host Gayle King kept with the purple theme rocking a lavender dress and deep purple clutch.

Broadway star Patina Miller got glam in a pink jumpsuit and sandals.

JHud slipped into this sexy strapless plum purple gown and sashayed down the carpet at the show’s after party held at the Copacabana.

The Oscar winner was joined on the carpet by her fiance David Otunga, their adorable son David Jr. and JHud's nephew, all rocking blue and black suits. Adorbs!

Then the Grammy winner snapped it up with her co-stars Cynthia Erivo (who needs a Tony for her role in this STAT) and Danielle Brooks.

Lupita Nyong’o is heavy on the promo circuit for her upcoming film Star Wars film. Find out her most recent spottings inside…

One of our fave YBF chicks has been busy on the promo trail for her brand new sci-fi thriller, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o appeared on “Live with Kelly & Michael” this morning (that was pre-taped) to dish on her crafty side and, of course, her new film.

The 32-year-old starlet started off talking about these shot glasses she hand pained for her friends. Yes, chick is crafty with her hands. She said for her birthday one year, she wanted to give her friends gifts, so she decided she would paint these shot glasses and give them away as gifts. Lupita said she invited about 50 people over and by the time she got to her 5th glass, she wanted to jump ship and quit! Ha!

But, she ended up painting all 50 glasses and gifted them to her friends. Cute.

The 12 Years A Slave actress then went on to talk about Star Wars. Everyone has been really hush-hush about the film, so she didn’t give much.

"Well, I'll tell you what I'm allowed to tell you," she said. "I play a pirate, Maz Kanata, who is a colorful character with an interesting background."

For her new role, Lupita had to use motion capture where she would have to get covered in dots everyday with cameras attached to her head. But she said, she enjoyed playing a character that didn’t focus so much on her body and to transform into another being. She said,

"You know, it was really exciting for me. After doing 12 Years a Slave, which was so much about my body, it was a relief and new ground to do a character that was not about my body at all and to have that freedom to animate a character that is not limited by my physical circumstances. It was something I always wanted to do. It offered a very interesting acting challenge for me.”

The Kenyan beauty said she was very familiar with Star Wars before doing the movie. In Kenya, Star Wars would come on when they were out of school for holiday, so she knew all the films.

Keke Palmer debuted a new ‘do last night. She has been rocking the cropped ‘do for a while now, but for last night’s event, the “Scream Queens” star added in a few gray streaks to make her bang pop on the purple carpet for the Ui CULTURE APP Launch Party at TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood. She's kinda giving us a Porsha from "Empire" vibe. What y'all think?

The 22-year-old is gearing up to play Marty Maraschino in the live production musical  "Grease" set to air January 31st on FOX.

Now we know why Nicki Minaj rolled to court with Meek Mill yesterday for his probation violation hearing.  It wasn't just to support, chick TESTIFIED on his behalf.  But wait till you hear the story these two tried to tell the judge...

Nicki Minaj went to court yesterday to cut for her man Meek Mill.  Hard.  Now that the judge is threatening to throw Meek back in jail for probation violation, court records now document why.

Not only did he travel out of town when he wasn't supposed to, he seemingly submitted WATER for his latest urine drug test.  He said it was because he's been drinking so much water and protein drinks because....he's now a BODYBUILDER.  Chile...

Nicki co-signed for him.

TMZ reports:

According to legal docs, during a drug test Meek handed the lab tech a specimen that turned out to be cold water. Meek allegedly told the tech it looked that way because he had just consumed a lot of water, adding he was a bodybuilder and drank protein shakes that make his pee appear that way.

Nicki testified that Meek was telling the truth about his drug test, and said if she knew the protein shakes would make his urine appear like water, she would not have let him drink it.

And Nicki insisted to the judge, Meek doesn't do drugs and did not fake the test.

Nicki told the judge her thoughts about the accusations the prosecutors were throwing.

"She's not going to be the one sleeping alone if he goes to jail. I am," Minaj told the judge. "He's not perfect, but I can't believe how much he's changed."

She continued:

"He doesn't have a lot of structure. He can be irresponsible," said Minaj, who was sworn in under her birth name, Onika Maraj. "Since I've come in his life, I think I've been working on that a little bit. ... He's just getting accustomed to being an adult."

Meek's attorney says Meek and Nicki are seriously considering marriage.

Lane Bryant has an answer to this week's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.  Since the plus fashion brand wants the world to know that there's more than one type of sexy, they decided to show it and tell it.  Check it inside...

While the Victoria's Secret Angels strutted the VS Fashion Show runway on CBS this week, Lane Bryant stepped their #ImNoAngel campaign up a notch and held their own fashion show on social media.

The brand is pushing the notion that while women who sizes 0, 2, and 4 are incredibly sexy, so are women who are sizes 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 and every other size there is.  They company is taking issue with Victoria's Secret excluding women of different sizes all while calling it the sexiest night on television, especially since the average size woman in the US is a 12-14.

The campaign is meant to make all women feel included in the rhetoric around what is deemed sexy and beautiful.  They stirred up some major talk around the concept, both supporters and opponents.

Some of Hip Hop’s finest gathered to party and check out the new reality series “Growing Up In Hip Hop” starring a few celebuspawns of some legendary artists. Peep the red carpet arrivals inside….

A new reality show is coming to WEtv dubbed “Growing Up Hip Hop” and it will follow the next generation of Hip Hop royalty by looking into the lives of the "kids" of Hip Hop's legends. The cast includes Angela Simmons, Romeo Miller, Damon "Boogie" Dash, Kristinia DeBarge, Egypt Criss, and TJ Mizell. Angela & Romeo (along with his dad Master P) are also executive producers of the show.

Last night, WEtv held a premiere party in NYC for the brand new series and it brought out the cast and their famous parents.

Shoe designer and fashionista Angela Simmons, who’s currently enrolled in FIT, rolled up to the event rocking a beautiful Nigerian custom dress by Tope of Frock It Rock It in collaboration with her stylist Kanayo Ebi.

The fashion designer, daughter of rap pioneer Rev. Run and niece of Russell Simmons, seems excited about apearing on the new show.

Our YBF correspondent James Turner caught up with the fab chick on the carpet where she sort of dished on her relationship status these days. She said, “I mean maybe you guys should watch and find out [laughs]. I mean not really…maybe sorta..maybe not.” Mmhmm. She said we'll get to see a lot more relationship stuff and career stuff, things we don't normally see on her social media timelines.

We then asked her what has she learned from starring on the show, in which she said, “I think I learned a lot about the culture, which really influenced my entire life. Fashion, and everything around me. I’m really grateful for the musical experience I’ve learned from being around Hip Hop.”

She also dished on what she has coming down the pipeline saying, “I have a faux fur line, Foofi Faux Fur, which I partner with Sonya Richard Ross. She’s my partner and we own the company together.”

Angela's brothers Diggy and Russey Simmons came out to support their big sister.

Recording artist Romeo Miller, son of Master P, also stopped to chop it u with us. He talked about feeling like the veteran of the group and dropped a few nuggets of knowledge for his cast mates. He said,

“I’m like the grandpa [of the group]. The thing I always tell them is to stay focus. You got to have tough skin in this business. A lot of people see the glitz and glamour, but they don’t see everything behind the scenes."

"I don’t care if you are a NBA player, a doctor or a football player, you put in work to get where you want to get. A lot of people don’t see that. So in this generation, we live in the social media day in age. People are going talk trash and try to knock you down, so you got to have tough skin and follow your dreams nobody else is living your life for you.”

He's looking to make a return to the music scene. We're sure his girlfriend Toneata Morgan will be a few appearances on the show.

Romeo's pops came out to support his first born. We wonder if he's still pursuing his family-centered reality show.

Romero’s sister Cymphonique Miller also hit the carpet with her brother.

Dame Dash's son Damon "Boogie" Dash hit the carpet before partying it up. Remember when we saw him slinging cookies in L.A.? He's on the path to be the best businessman he can be following in the same entrepreneurial steps as his dad. He's already to a good start as the co-founder of Chipz Cookies, as well as a record label and NYC art gallery.

Rap royalty TJ Mizell, son of Jam Master Jay of Run D.M.C., was all smiles on the carpet. We will see him follow in his dad’s footsteps as a disc jockey as he tries to make a name for himself on the show.

Egypt Criss, of Sandra “Pepa” Denton from Salt-N-Pepa and rap icon Treach from Naughty By Nature, snapped it up with her mom and her mom’s bandmate Cheryl "Salt"James on the carpet.

Egypt is following in the footsteps of her parents pursuing a music career, but with her mom being so overprotective they bump heads a lot.

50 Cent’s son Marquise Jackson popped up on the carpet. While he won’t be appearing on this reality series as a official cast member (he may pop up in a scene or two), his girlfriend Tyler Royale is appearing on a Hip Hop related MTV docu-series.

Rap Queen Lil Kim got all dolled up for the event.

The 41-year-old rap pioneer kept it extra sexy in a black body suit with a sheer skirt, a black belt to cinch her waist and a red printed mini fur coat.

"The View" co-host Raven Symone hit up the event to celebrate her 30th birthday. Why Raven Symone? Just why?

And look who got an invite! Pattie LaBelle's sweet potato pie superfan James Wright Chanel was in the mix.

Engaged couple Ray J and Princess Love were all wrapped up in love on the carpet. Ray stopped to chat with us about why he decided to stop drinking, what he would tell his younger self, and his upcoming projects. Check it:

On making the decision to stop drinking:

"I just needed to stop. I was having a good time. You just reach a peak! When I reach a climax on something, I know I need to give it up”

Is there anything you would go back and tell your younger self?

“Take a little more time and understand the art of it. Focus on your talent, the singing, and put together great songs. Listen to some of the producers that were really trying to get me to go certain ways like Pharrell and Rodney Jerkins. Just listen to them more creatively on the music side other than that I’m happy with everything.”

On his new projects:

“I have a new single out called 'Curtains Closed' on iTunes and I’m more focused on executive producing more shows, putting more shows out. WEtv and I are in a big business deal right now. We have a show called ‘Driven to Love’ coming out. I been out here in New York for 2 months driving in a car and hooking people up”

Actor Taye Diggs came out to party it up with the YBF celebs and their kids.

Salt-N-Pepa looked cute. Glad to see they are still friends.

And Raven was gifted a huge three-tier gold cake to celebrate her 30th birthday. Fun times!

R&B singer Ciara shut down the blue carpet at today’s Billboard Women In Music event held at Cipriani 42nd Street in NYC. The 30-year-old stunna sashayed down the carpet showing major skin in a Versace number with a train.

Chick was serving all types of gorgeousness and her face was naturally beat for the gawds.

CiCi had the honor of presenting rap star Missy Elliot with the Innovator Award during the ceremony. It was a special reunion as the two reunited after collaborating on her hit track "1, 2 Step."

A. Keys rounded out the trifecta photo-op during the ceremony.

"Empire" star Jussie Smollett, who recently shared a few love scenes with A. Keys, got dapper in a brown suit on the clue carpet.

"TODAY" show host Tamron Hall is slaying the hell out of this black leather mini dress. Werk!

Well, things certainly got interesting between reality star Masika Kalyasha and rapper Fetty Wap. Masika is 6 months pregnant and claims Fetty is the father! Fetty says she’s nothing but an industry groupie and wants a DNA test. Chile…deets inside…

Over the weekend, former “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” star Masika Kalysha revealed she’s six months pregnant! Yep, chick will be welcoming a new bundle of joy in just a few months. Sounds like this would be one of the happier times in her life, but it’s obvious she ALREADY has baby daddy drama. Allegedly.

FYI -- That's Fetty above on crutches (after he was hit by a car on his motorcycle) heading inside Jingle Ball.

Masika took to Instagram to make her pregnancy announcement showing off her growing belly in a sexy bra and panties set, with a sweet caption AND she tagged the Paterson native rapper. She wrote:

Further confirming Fetty IS the father, she stopped by Power 106 in L.A. to dish on pregnancy and to show off her bump. Oh..and to reveal who the baby's daddy is. She said:

Photogs caught up with Masika right after she left Power 106 to probe her more about the pregnancy. She said when she told Fetty she was pregnant his reaction was very calm. When asked about marriage, she didn’t rule it out in the future. Then she said, “It just depends on this ring.” Oh? Ok. Sighs….

Chick seems super confident, but unfortunately for her, her alleged sperm donor is saying the total opposite. According to TMZ, Fetty told them she was nothing more than a jumpoff…an industry groupie of sorts and that he needs a DNA test to PROVE he’s the father. He doesn’t deny they hooked up, but he said he won’t believe he’s the father until he has proof.

He also hopped on Twitter and ranted (then deleted):

Was she cheating?  Not necessarily.  She's actually been injured for a while now and catering to knee and shoulder issues.

Serena came clean on a video later saying, “I didn’t run the whole way this year but next year I will.”

Her big sis Venus also came out to support.  Sweet!

The evening was held on the rooftop where guests could mingle under the stars while being treated to a champagne lounge, Casper cabanas, spiked hot cocoa, a s’more/candy bar, photo booth and more. Sounds fun.

Zendaya’s dad Kazembe Ajamu Coleman (who also serves as a part of her security detail) was in the mix. And look who he bumped into: Drake’s dad Dennis Graham! Papa Graham stays everywhere.

Funnyman and father-of-two Jamie Foxx came out to support the children’s toy drive.

“Variety” star Karrueche Tran was all smiles with her bags of gifts for the kiddies.

The "Being Mary Jane" star simply titled the pic "Wade Weekends."  She's been busy in Atlanta filming her new Holiday movie A Meyers Christmas.  We're not sure if the afro was for one of her roles, but it's a cute look on her.

Cutie Tristan Wilds, or Mack Wilds that is, is gearing up for his new VH1 movie "The Breaks."  Check out the extended trailer inside, plus YBF folks reacting to their Critics' Choice Award nominations...

Last night, Mack Wilds, and his castmates Afton Williamson (the solo YBF chick holding it down), David Call and more hit up The Red Rooster in Harlem for their premiere event.  The hip hop driven original movie looks like something the hip hop heads who still like MTV and VH1 would watch.  Here's the synopsis:

Three friends (Mack Wilds, Afton Williamson and David Call) united by their love of hip-hop, as they work to make their big mark in the music industry. Premiering on Monday, January 4th, 2016, “The Breaks” takes viewers back to the summer of 1990 in New York City where the music industry’s artists and hustlers intersect in the dance clubs and the street corners of the city. They discover lives can be broken as fast as legends can be born. VH1’s “The Breaks,” is based on journalist Dan Charnas’ book “The Big Payback,” a narrative history of the hip-hop business.

By the way, Method Man is in the movie and plays Mack's character's father.  And yes, he's still fine as all hell.

While YBFers barely nabbed any film nominations, they racked up in the TV sector for the Critics' Choice Awards.

Tracee Ellis Ross was nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy Series and she congratulated the rest of her cast as well saying:

Amazing news to wake up to!! @blackishabc received 4 @criticschoice award nominations! Congrats to @anthonyanderson, @jeniferlewis4real, and @kenyab_in_imax3d! Go Team #blackish!!!

Anthony nabbed a Best Actor in a Comedy nod, Jenifer Lewis was nominated for Best Guest Actor/Actress in a Comedy and their show "black ish" grabbed the Best Comedy Series nod.

Straight Outta Compton nabbed a Best Ensemble nomination in the film categories.  Viola Davis and Taraji P. Henson will face off for Best Actress in a Drama series while "Empire" nabbed a Best Drama Series nod.

Even "The Wiz Live" nabbed 4 nominations.  Shaniece Williams, who played Dorothy, was nominated for Best Actress in a Made for TV or Limited Series, Ne-Yo and David Alan Grier were both nominated as Best Supporting Actor in the same category with MJB for Best Supporting Actress in that category, and finally the show itself nabbed a nomination as well.

Niecy Nash and Regina King were both nominated for their tv roles in "Getting On" and "The Leftovers." Remember Bokeem Woodbine?

He was nominated and will be competing against David and Ne=Yo for his role in "Fargo".

Well look who’s still playing nice for the sake of the kids!

After burying the hatchet during the last “LAHH: Atlanta” reunion episode, Mimi Faust and Stevie J’s wife Joseline Hernandez are still on good terms. So much so, Joseline was front and center at Mimi and Stevie’s daughter Eva Giselle’s 6th birthday princess themed bash in Atlanta recently. Just one big happy, blended family. Good for them.

Stevie and Joseline jetted into Atlanta from L.A. where they have been filming their upcoming spin-off series. If you haven’t heard, the couple received eight episodes in a half-hour VH1 spin-off series premiering Winter 2016. We will see Joseline work on her music career while trying to build a bond with Stevie’s children. Meanwhile, Stevie will head back to the studio and reconnect with old friends in the music industry.

Little Eva was the princess for the day looking cute in her little cream dress and gold slippers.

Eva's big sister Sade and big brother Dorian came out to celebrate with their baby sister. Too cute.

Eva had a special guest for the birthday festivities: Princess Barbie!

NBA baller Rajon Rondo has issued a public apology to the LGBT community after yelling anti-gay slurs at one of the NBA’s top referees Bill Kennedy. Deets inside…

Sacramento Kings guard Rajon Rondo has issued a public apology to LGBT community for screaming and yelling anti-gay slurs at one of the NBA’s top referees Bill Kennedy.  Actually, some folks say it wasn't an apology at all.

Rajon was suspended for one game after he was ejected for unleashing anti-gay slurs at Billy during the Celtics vs. Kings match-up at the Mexico City Arena on December 3rd. SIDENOTE: Rajon use to play for the Celtics for much of his career.  So this match-up was a heated and anticipated one.

According to reports, Rondo, who's making $9.5 million this season, is the third NBA player to be punished for the use of anti-gay slurs, but the first to be suspended. It's going to cost him a cool $86,300 in game salary for the suspension. Whoa!

Billy ejected Rajon with consecutive technical fouls and that’s when Rajon totally lost it. He started screaming at Billy, “You're a motherf*ckin’ f*ggot! You're a f*ckin’ f*ggot, Billy!"

Yikes.

In a clip, you can see Rajon coming after Billy yelling once he ejected him. Then you see his teammates step in to pull him away. Check it:

Now Rajon wants to make things right (as best he can) and apologize. He took to his Twitter yesterday and said:

My actions during the game were out of frustration and emotion, period!

While he did explain, we noticed he didn’t directly apologize to Billy. Hmph.

Following Rajon’s anti-gay rant, Billy decided to come out as a gay man to encourage other men and women in sports who may struggle with their sexual orientation. Over the weekend he told Yahoo Sports,

"I am proud to be an NBA referee and I am proud to be a gay man. I am following in the footsteps of others who have self-identified in the hopes that will send a message to young men and women in sports that you must allow no one to make you feel ashamed of who you are."

NBA commissioner Adam Silver is in full support of Billy and issued a statement showing his support. He said,

"I wholeheartedly support Bill's decision to live his life proudly and openly. Throughout his 18-year career with the league, Bill has excelled as a referee because of his passion, dedication and courage. Those qualities will continue to serve him well both as a game official and as a positive influence for others. While our league has made great progress, our work continues to ensure that everyone is treated with respect and dignity."

So...about Rajon's suspension...do you think his 1-game suspension was harsh enough? Was his apology was sincere? Speak on it!
