At today's 47th NAACP Image Awards Nomination Press Conference held at the Paley Center in Beverly Hills, a handful of YBF celebs stepped out to announce the 2016 nominees.

The categories and nominees were announced by upcoming Southside With You star Tika Sumpter, “black•ish” kiddies Marsai Martin and Miles Brown, "Born Again Virgin" actress Danielle Nicolet and "Scandal" star Guillermo Díaz. In addition, the event was live streamed and special commentary was provided by "Entertainment Tonight" reporter Nischelle Turner

Tika, who has wrapped up filming Southside For You as a young First Lady Michelle (Robinson) Obama, slipped into a cute black laser cut frock to help announce the nominees. She's a chick who hardly ever disappoints on the carpet.

The YBF chick star starred in the HBO Bessie biopic that has been nominated for the Outstanding Television Movie, Mini-Series or Dramatic Special award. Also, her co-stars Queen Latifah, Michael K. Williams and writer Dee Rees have nabbed nominations.

Cuties Marsai and Miles melt our hearts every time we see them. They are so adorable. Both of them nabbed nominations. Marsai is up for the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series award and Miles is up for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series award. Congrats to them! 

Their co-stars Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Marcus Scriber, Laurence Fishburne and creator Kenya Barris all nabbed nominations too.

Speaking of kiddies...

The young lady who voices Doc McStuffins, Laya DeLeon Hayes (above), has been nominated for the Outstanding Children’s Program Award. Woot!

Back on the carpet...

Danielle looked very classy and elegant in a black pencil dress and black peep-toe pumps.

A leather dress can sometimes be a hit or miss, but TV reporter Nischelle Turner made it work.

Anika Noni Rose and Queen Latifah have new television projects coming down the pipeline. And we’re here for both. Deets inside…

Dreamgirls star Anika Noni Rose will be popping up on one of our fave television series. The gorgeous YBF actress will be bringing her talents for a recurring role on the hit STARZ drug drama “Power.”

According to Deadline, Anika will play LaVerne Thomas, a streetwise cop from the neighborhood where Ghost and Tommy grew up. Can’t wait to see how her character will throw in twist in the plot.

The Princess & The Frog star has been busy on the scene. She recently wrapped up filming in a "Roots" reboot with Forest Whitaker for the A&E miniseries. The same series we told you T.I. recently signed on to do. She’s also gearing up to star in a new German action thriller titled The Blue Mauritius, set to debut in 2016.

No official date for Season 3 of "Power" has been announced yet, but we can probably expect it air in June 2016 as the other seasons always premiered in June.

Another YBF chick who copped a new role...

Queen will join “Empire” creator Lee Daniels for a music themed project coming to FOX.

A few months ago, we told you about the new another musical drama created by Lee Daniels tentatively titled “Star.” When the new first broke, Deadline reported the name of the new series will be “Star.” Now, they’re calling it an “untitled project,” so we're not sure if "Star" is the official and final name of the new series or not. But we do know the series is currently in the works.

Set in Atlanta, "Star" is a drama that centers around three girls who are coming together to form a band and all the drama and conflict they encounter on their rise to the top. Queen is set to play the owner of a beauty salon who will become like a “den mother” of some sort for the group.

Deadline reports:

“…the pilot follows three young women (Demorest, Destiny, O’Grady), who form a girl group with hopes of making it big in the music industry, and the choices with which they’re faced along the way. Queen Latifah anchors the cast as Carlotta, the owner of an Atlanta beauty salon, with an amazing voice, who will become a surrogate mother to the three girls – even though she doesn’t approve of their musical dreams.”

Joining Queen will be three newbies Jude Demorest (Dallas), Ryan Destiny (Low Winter Sun) and Brittany O’Grady (The Messengers). Production begins this month in Atlanta.

Lee will co-write and executive produce the series with "The Whole Truth" creator Tom Donaghy and he'll also direct. THe musical drama pilot is the first project from Lee's overall deal with 20th Century Fox TV.

The funny thing is, my character is so different from who I am in real life.  I know people will find that hard to believe because I work as a model and actress and my character is all about glamour, but I'm so different.  I'm so fantasy football.  Right now I have on no makeup [and] I'm about to take my daughter to the aquarium.  I am so different from my character.

Looks like LaLa Anthony did some digging in her closet for a recent appearance. Decide which time she rocked the green leather ‘The Row’ dress and blue Christian Louboutins best inside….

“Power” star LaLa Anthony has been super busy these days. She’s been booking new gigs left and right and has been heavy on the promo trail for her upcoming projects.

On her most recent press run, the New York Times best-selling author stopped by AOL’s BUILD to chit chat about her role in the “Unforgettable” series, family life and more. During the conversation, La revealed she’s turning one of her books, The Power Playbook, into a feature film. And she’s teaming up with Queen Latifiah to make it happen. Nice!

For the chit chat, the 36-year-old got dolled up in a green leather dress by The Row paired with blue caged watersnake Christian Louboutin sandals. She accessorized her look with a black belt to cinch in her waist and she pulled her hair back into a low bun.

But this wasn't her first time rocking this dress and shoes:

LaLa rocked the exact same look at the 12 Years A Slave premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival back in 2013. She styled her look a bit differently then, accessorizing with a gold Stella McCartney waist belt and her long golden wavy tresses cascading past her shoulders.

Wale opens up about Kendrick Lamar ignoring his phone calls on Twitter, which started up a social media storm. Find out what he said that had one of K Dot’s homies come at him and check out the HILARIOUS video of Erykah Badu fake apologizing to Iggy Azalea inside…

It wouldn’t be Wale if he didn’t drum up some type of controversy (whether intentional or not) after the announcement of the Grammy nominees.

This time, the DC bred rapper made a comment about west coast rapper Kendrick Lamar, who leads the pack with 11 Grammy nominations this year. A fan suggested Wale and Kendrick should hop on tour together and Wale’s response came with a dose of hurt tea. The MMG rapper said he hasn't talked to K-Dot since his last Grammy nomination.

He tweeted:

Well a rapper named Jay Rock from Kendrick’s TDE camp got wind of Wale’s comment and decided to go IN. Peep his tweets (read from the bottom up):

Well damn.

After receiving online backlash, Wale decided to hop in the comments section on The Shade Room’s IG account where he cleared up his statement about Kendrick. He said he has no beef with Kendrick and blames "people" for stirring the pot. He wrote,

“I’ll step in the room again. Ppl will try to stir the pot.. But that’s just the way the “industry” is now. I just said I been able to reach homie for quite some time. But times where people stir the pot its easy to take things negatively. There’s no beef. No way I could even bark up that tree.. My business isn’t strong enough.. That’s like bringing a… Ah nvm u guys get it lol. I got respect for Jay Rock as he felt like maybe I was slighting..But I’m very very upfront when there’s… “shade” (see what I did there).. I deliver it priority mail when it’s necessary.. I’m sorry to inform, that there is none right now. I know people will stir the pot and I understand Jay Rock’s position.. I answered a fan question with an honest answer.. I sure hope there is a place for honesty amongst us moving forward. Mariah Carey kicks off her 2nd annual Christmas concert series in NYC AND announces a new Christmas special coming to the Hallmark network. Meanwhile, Mo’Nique and her husband Sidney Hicks are gearing up to debut a new podcast about their open relationship. More inside…

We all know Mariah Carey is a huge Christmas lover. And for this year’s festivities, she’s celebrating in a major way.

Yesterday, MiMi – spotted looking fab in all black in NYC— kicked off her second annual "All I Want For Christmas Is You" concert series at the Beacon Theatre (presented by Hallmark) in NYC.

Last night's performance was the first of many and chick brought her signature sound. Her vocals were on point.

Glad she appears to be doing well after she was rushed to the hospital last week falling ill from the flu.

Mariah will hit the stage for a series of dates to perform tracks from her iconic Christmas catalog.

The remaining dates are December: 9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, and 18.

MC has another treat for her fans this holiday season. The Grammy Award winning songstress announced that Hallmark will be premiering a musical event, “Mariah Carey’s Merriest Christmas,” on December 19th at 10pm ET. The musical event will air the same day her new film A Christmas Melody, that she’s starring and directing, will premiere. The one-hour special will air immediately following her Christmas film. MC is clearly all about the Christmas take over.

Fans can expect Mariah to belt out her holiday hits along with a duet with Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds. According to Billboard, Emmy-winner Kelsey Grammer and “Mike & Molly” actor Billy Gardell will also perform.

YBF chick Tia Mowry Hardrict wants you to know she’s NOT pregnant and that the extra weight is a result from good eating on her cooking show. In other news, Nick Cannon reveals he has yet to meet his ex-wife Mariah Carey’s new beau James Packer, but would love to make it happen. Get the deets inside…

For a while now, fans have been speculating whether or not Tia Mowry Hardrict is with child. Ever since her twin sister Tamera Mowry Housley gave birth to her daughter Ariah over the summer and Tia looked like she could possibly have a baby bump, rumors have been circulating that Tia is pregnant. Well, she wants you to know that she's currently NOT pregnant. And she credits an extra 15lb weight gain to good eating on her Cooking Channel cooking show.

Tia already clapped back at online trolls who have been body shaming her on social media.  P.S. Not everyone was body shaming, but some were and that's unfortunate.  Others were genuinely inquisitive since Tia was SO public about her fitness and diet journey and we all saw her fab results.

Last month, we showed you the Instagram post she put up denouncing the pregnancy rumors. And now, she’s clapping back once again in a new interview.

While speaking with HuffPost Live, the upcoming “Rosewood” star revealed she has gained about 15lbs as a result of her cooking show and that she’s not pregnant with baby #2, she’s just living good. She said,

“I am not pregnant. I am just happy. I’ve gained these extra 10, 15 pounds because of my cooking show.”

The former "Sister, Sister" star said she’s not focused on her body weight right now and she's happy with herself.  And we love that.

“I’m just enjoying life,” she said. "When I want to drop the pounds, I will, but right now I’m happy with who I am,” she continued.

She then went on to talk about how it’s unfortunate that online trolls continue to body shame her and that it needs to stop. She said,

"But it is a form of body shaming, I will say that, and it's pretty unfortunate. We live in a society that is so obsessed with being perfect. Why can't we just be us? We need to be more supportive with body images, especially with women, showing that all sizes are beautiful. And I'm talking about in magazines, advertisement[s] in regard to what's sexy and what's not sexy. We all need to be a little more supportive of each other. I think if we start there, we'll see a difference."

In another new interview….

“America’s Got Talent” host Nick Cannon appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” recently on a press run for his new film Chi-raq. While chopping it up with the daytime TV host, he was asked if he had the chance to meet his ex-wife Mariah Carey’s new billionaire beau James Packer, in which he revealed he has not.

Although MiMi and James have been hot and heavy since the summer and James has been seen with their twins Monroe and Moroccan, Nick has yet to personally meet him. But, Mr. NCredible said he would love to meet him and thinks it would be cool. He told Ellen,

“I haven’t [been able to meet James], but I want to though. I think that would be cool. It’s still like, we’ve all talked about it and stuff. It seems like it’s cool.”

While he hasn’t met James yet, he said everything between him and MiMi is good. He continued,

“We make the kids the number one priority. For them to see their parents together and for everybody to get along and have a great time. It’s such a beautiful experience.”

The conversation then changed to his own love life. A few days ago, Nick was spotted on a dinner date with Eddie Murphy and Michael Strahan’s ex-Nicole Murphy. The two reportedly enjoyed a dinner together and went furniture shopping afterwards over the weekend. While it appears something could possibly be up between the two, Nick told Ellen,

“I’m not ready for that. I’m not. You going to hood me up with somebody, Ellen?”

Following his statement, he then addressed his multiple dates he has been spotted on. He explained,

“I wouldn’t say dating. I mean, I have friends and we hang out, but I’m not ready to do anything seriously, especially because I’m really trying to make sure I can establish being in my kids life and working. I’m always so busy, so if I’m not working, they’re my number one priority.”

“Crazy Talk” is a new show on OXYGEN. But, word on the curb is that Tanisha Thomas may have already been AXED from the show. Decide if you believe it inside…

So we have a bit of tea we'd like to spill today. We’re hearing reality starlet Tanisha Thomas has already left the brand new show “Crazy Talk.”  In fact, she MAY have possibly gotten fired.

Let’s bring you up to speed a bit…

Tanisha Thomas rose to reality world fame when she first appeared on the hit OXYGEN show “Bad Girls Club.” She was the loud mouth, tell-it-like it is, no filter chick that didn’t take any crap from anyone. She quickly became a fan favorite and went on to host several reunion shows. "Pop Off Son!"

Since then, she has appeared on a few other reality shows (“Tanisha Gets Married,” “Marriage Boot Camp’”), and also recently earned a spot as a co-host on OXYGEN’s new show that premiered in September titled, “Crazy Talk.”  She's also changed her image for the good. She still has a little fiestiness in her, but as she would say, the Lord isn't through with her yet.

On the nationally syndicated series, Tanisha and her co-host Ben Aaron inject their raw and hilarious banter into some of the most outrageous and most watched clips from reality television shows and around the Internet.

Sounds good right?

Well it was…up until recently. Supposedly.

Sources tell us that Tanisha was ALLEGEDLY fired on the set of “Crazy Talk” at Stamford Media Center in Connecticut recently. Oh?

So what happened? Was the show cancelled? Nope, the show has NOT been cancelled, but Tanisha is supposedly no longer apart of it. The reason? We hear she didn’t fit the demographic they want to reach for the show.

We noticed a fan snapped a pic with her for social media on the set a few weeks ago.  The fan revealed it was one of her last shows.  Also, the show's Twitter account and new promo pics now only show Ben as the host.

So either the parting was amicable, or she got the axe.

IF this is true, Tanisha hasn’t said anything about it, nor has OXYGEN. We've reached out to show producers and Tanisha's team with no response.

Guess we will just have to wait and see....

Well, what do we have here? It appears Diddy and "ex" Kim Porter were spied leaving a sex toy/lingerie store recently. Oh?! Meanwhile, Drake’s dad Dennis Graham was spotted dining with a lady friend in L.A. Pics inside….

After rocking out at Hot 97’s Christmas concert over the weekend, it appears Diddy jetted to his other home on the west coast for a little retail therapy with his baby mama Kim Porter. And they weren't just doing any regular holiday shopping for the kids, the twosome had something special in mind.

The photographers who snapped the pic thought it was Cassie and labeled her as such. But, upon closer inspection, we noticed it’s actually his “ex” Kim. It's definitely Kim. Her shape, skin tone and hair confirm it's her.

Diddy and Kim were seen leaving the sex toy/lingerie store Hustler Hollywood in L.A. yesterday. While they both were seen leaving the store separately, y’all KNOW they came together. Hmm..were they there to purchase a few items for them to use or nah?

Both of them left the store empty handed, but if they did pick up a few items, we're sure Diddy has someone on payroll carry the bags.

It's interesting to note, his current girlfriend Cassie is overseas filming a new movie. Hmph. Guess this is that 15% of the love contract with Cassie where he does whatever he likes.

Drake’s dad Dennis Graham was spotted heading inside celeb hotspot The Nice Guy club with a chick on his arm in West Hollywood last night.

If you follow his dad on Instagram, then you have figured out by now the 6 God’s pops is quite the ladies' man. He posts tons of pics of himself all hugged up with a slew of pretty ladies. But, it looks like (at least for now), one lady has his attention. Wonder who she is.

The struggle is real when Drake’s dad is out here pulling chicks while some of us can’t even get a good morning text. Ha!

Are we closer to the release of Rihanna’s ANTI album? We surely hope so.

The Pop princess just unlocked the 4th room in her ANTIdiaRy campaign series in partnership with Samsung. Rih has been teasing fans with the new series in anticipation of her 8th studio album. In the fourth installment, Rih is seen with a tattooing what appears to be a message in Braille on the forehead of a mysterious man. Blue paint oozes from his face and drips to the ground in the semi-gory clip.

The "BBHMM" singer is gearing up for her ANTI World Tour with special guests The Weeknd& Big Sean for the European leg. Plus, her rumored boo Travis Scott will join her for the North American leg. Rihanna will start her world domination February 26, 2016 in San Diego at the Viejas Arena. Tickets are on sale now.

Also, Rihanna's Diamond Ball will go down tomorrow night in NYC with performances by Kevin Hart and Lionel Richie. We're sure it will be another star-studded affair for the books.

In movie news...

We told you Toni Braxton is turning her memoir Un-Break My Heart into a LIFETIME biopic.  Now, we have the first sneak peek at the young actress who will be playing the gorgeous R&B singer.

Newbie Lex Scott Davis will be playing the 90s superstar in the LIFETIME TV movie. And from the looks of it, she’s accurately channeling Ms. Braxton. She looks good, let’s hope she can deliver.

Here's the network’s synopsis:

Based on Grammy® Award-winning singer Toni Braxton’s popular memoir, Un-Break My Heart is the authorized life story of the wildly talented artist, who has fought through a severe chronic illness, financial troubles and divorce while navigating her son’s autism and family struggles. Un-Break My Heart is the never-before-told story of the measures Braxton took to make herself and her family whole again, serving as an inspiration to people around the world. Braxton will executive produce the film, which begins production later this year. Un-Break My Heart is also executive produced by Craig Baumgarten (Twist of Faith), Erik Kritzer (The Runaround) and Marcus Grant, written by Susan McMartin (Mom, Two and a Half Men) and produced by Link Entertainment. Vondie Curtis Hall (Abducted: The Carlina White Story) will direct.

Here's a flick of the cast of Braxton sisters, including Tiffany Hines (Tamar Braxton, obviously), Skye P. Marshall (Towanda Braxton) and Courtney Scott Wright (Traci Braxton). No word on who is playing Trina and Mama Evelyn just yet.

The SAG nominations are in, and the Straight Outta Compton cast is on the list! The fellas have been nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. 

O'Shea Jackson, Jr., Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell will be facing off against the casts of Beasts of No Nation (starring Idris Elba), The Big Short, Trumbo, and Spotlight.

Idris will be having a big night as well.  Not only was his Beasts of No Nation film nominated in two categories, he himself was nominated twice as well for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in the film and Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries for "Luther."

Also nabbing nominations for their epic seasons on their tv shows: Viola Davis for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series in "How To Get Away With Murder" and Uzo Aduba for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for "Orange Is The New Black."

The "Only" rapper, who's up for a GRAMMY in the Best Rap Album category, rocked two massive diamond rings last night. One of the rings look like the ring her boyfriend Meek Mill gifted to her ealrier this year and she was rocking it on her RING finger. You'll recall, Meek gave Nicki this huge heart shaped diamond ring that had everyone speculating if they were engaged.

As for the other ring sitting pretty on her first finger, it appears to be yet another gift from her beau:

The comedic music video shows FLOTUS and Jay Pharoah busting a few dance moves inside and outside the White House as they rap about good reasons one should go after higher education. "MC FLOTUS" dropped a few bars about growing up and making it out of Chicago, rapping:

"South Side Chicago, we all know/We had to do overtime every night to make it tomorrow/And everyone could really make their dream true/ Hey kid, listenin' in Michigan, that could be you!”

Season 4 of “Tamar & Vince” premieres tonight. And we’ve got a sneak peek at the premiere episode.

Cameras followed Tamar Braxton on her recent world domination as she co-hosted “The Real,” released her new album Calling All Hearts, went on tour, joinied “Dancing With The Stars” competition on top of being a wife and mother. Chick was booked to capacity, which eventually landed her in the hospital.She ultimately ended up quitting "DWTS" to focus on her health.

Tonight’s episode will show the moment Tamar’s husband Vince Herbert revealed she would be joining “DWTS” and how her world went from 0 to 100 real quick.

In the sneak peek clip, Tamar asks Vince what he thought about her first performance on “DWTS” with her partner Val Chmerkovskiy. Vince congrautales his wife saying she did very good for her debut performance. Meanwhile, Tamar opens up in a confessional about how nervous she was for the first performance. Check it out above.

In the latest round of 50 Cent vs. Rick Ross “beef,” the G-Unit rapper, who recently dropped The Kanan Tape mixtape, is taking shots at the MMG honcho over his latest album sales. Rozay released a new album titled Black Market last week and apparently the album sales are laughable to Fif.

In a new clip posted to his ThisIs50 YouTube account, the “Power” star and executive is seen in a radio studio looking down at his phone as he reads off the current album sales numbers for Rozay’s latest musical offering.

“Is that a rock or a brick?” he asked twice. “Thirty-four thousand, three-hundred, and eighty-eight copies and you know they went and bought some. He had to buy some. Anybody would have panicked.” 50 said Rick Ross bought at LEAST 15,000 of his own CDs to help bring the numbers up. Bloop!

He also said "Power" would be returning this summer and that he has two new shows in the works.

Nicki Minaj opens up about advice she has received from Beyonce and Jay Z, whether she and Meek Mill are engaged and what it’s like living in L.A. with her beau in a new interview. Meanwhile, the Philly rapper appeared in court this morning for a possible probation violation. And Nicki was by his side. More inside…

Nicki Minaj is currently living life in the fab lane as far as her music career goes. Chick has been selling out arenas worldwide, she has her own clothing line, her own perfume, she’s currently up for three Grammys, she’s starring in new films (Barbershop 3 & Ice Age), and she has seemingly found love. It appears she's on cloud nine, outside of the online Twitter spat and Award show beefs with Pop stars.

Most recently, her personal life was shaken up with recent news about her brother being charged for allegedly raping a 12-year-old. And the latest bad news she has received is the possibility of her boyfriend Meek going to jail. We’ll get to that later.

Sitting down with Billboard in her new L.A. mansion that she shares with beau, she opens ups about the good things she has going on. The Grammy Award winning raptress dishes on relationship advice she has received from Hip Hop power couple Beyonce and Jay Z and how their conversations have helped her and Meek's relationship. We're sure Mr. & Mrs. Carter had plenty of tips to share on how to naviagte as a couple in the limelight. And now that Nicki and Meek have taken their relationship to the next level living together, we're sure a whole new world of relationship kinks have to be worked out.

The “Anaconda” raptress also talks about her upcoming ABC sitcom about her childhood, she touches on politics (is she #TeamHilary or #TeamTrump), dabbing back in the mixtape world and more.

Below are the highlights:

You’re wearing a diamond on your ring finger.

Yeah. Meek gave me that.

Is it an engagement ring?

He and I are not engaged. But he said he would like to give me three rings before we get married. My birthday’s coming up, and he better get the new one, because he got [the first one] for my last birthday. So let’s see what happens.

You’re in a high-profile relationship. That presents some unique challenges. Is this something you and Meek discuss?

Yeah, we speak about it. We actually spoke with Jay Z and Beyoncé about it, too. After our show at [Brooklyn’s] Barclays Center [in October], we had dinner together. They were so giving with advice. I love them so much. It was just a beautiful conversation to have with people we love and we look up to as a couple. They’re so strong.

Is there anything you would care to share from that conversation?

I’d rather keep it private. I know Meek -- he understood a couple things that I was explaining to him more when we spoke about it in front of them. We were all laughing so much. It was very late -- you know when you get so tired, and it’s just like the giggles portion of the evening?

I don’t know what’s going to happen with he and I. I just know right now we are really, really enjoying each other’s company. So, shout out to everybody in the world that’s just trying to find love or be happy. Everybody should have someone to hold at night. It really, really changes your energy. I find that my energy is very different afterward -- if I’m in the bed with him, just hugging him all day. It’s just, like, something about love. You transfer it. It’s infectious.

Do you miss New York?

I love it [in Los Angeles]. I spoke to Beyoncé about it, because she came out here recently too. She said exactly what I used to say when I first moved here. We just feel happier. She was saying that simple things that would normally feel like a task, they don’t [feel that way] out here. She told me it’s not bothersome to get up super early and have to take Blue to school, because it looks so beautiful. I’m a New Yorker, but there are times in New York when you wake up and it’s, like, a dreary day. I know my London fans can identify with this. When I’m in London or Paris, I think the same thing. Part of the beauty is in the grayness -- but it’s an acquired taste.

You’ve been working on a sitcom for ABC about your childhood. How’s that going?

I am maybe too involved. Two days ago I was in casting. I’m going back tomorrow. I found one girl who I’m obsessed with who might play me, and someone who could rival her. So I’ve been coaching them both. I do a beat, let them rap. I do little dances with them. It has been magical. I didn’t even know I had it in me, but I love children so much.

Do you watch Empire?

I remember seeing the first episode and being like, “Oh, my God. I wasn’t expecting it to be this real and dope.” But I haven’t seen it in a while.

What do you think of Hillary Clinton?

I support her as a woman. Am I convinced that she should be the next president? I still want to be open-minded about everyone. Obviously, I identify with her struggles as a woman. I identify with the fact that when she’s in that room and there are nothing but men there -- there’s sometimes something in her that must feel intimidated. But I think that she uses that and turns it into a strength. Because that’s what I’ve always done. And so I love her for sticking it out. She has gone through horrifying things, even within her marriage. She has been brave and weathered the storm. And continued being a boss. That’s something that every woman should feel inspired by, no matter if you’re voting for her or not.

You’re from New York, so you also must have an opinion on Donald Trump.

(Laughs.) There are points he has made that may not have been so horrible if his approach wasn’t so childish. But in terms of entertainment -- I think he’s hilarious. I wish they could just film him running for president. That’s the ultimate reality show. [The interview was conducted prior to Trump’s Dec. 7 comments about halting immigration by Muslims into the United States.]

Have you heard Missy Elliott’s new record, “WTF”?

Yeah -- I think it’s great. I think she’s great.

Speaking of mixtapes, you began your career as a mixtape artist. Do you ever want to just release a mixtape and destroy the game?

I’ll definitely drop a mixtape. I have to. I want to touch a couple of beats that I wasn’t on. I could have bodied a lot of the records that came out in the last year. But the main thing is, I have to set an example for female rappers. I’m at the top of that food chain, and it’s important to lead by example… It’s important that you are bigger than your music. Some fans are going to fuck with me for the rest of my life because they know where I came from. Fans know my struggle. How hungry I was. That I was not settling, I was not giving up. I was on everybody’s beat. I was ruthless.

Meek Mill had to appear in a Philadelphia courtroom earlier today for allegedly violating his probation. And he could reportedly be facing JAIL TIME (again). And his boo Nicki Minaj was right by his side:

TMZ reports the Philly rapper is currently on probation for a drug and gun charge back in 2009. As of November 1st of this year, the MMG rapper reportedly was required to obtain a travel voucher to leave the state of Pennsylvania.

While it’s unclear where exactly he went that was in violation, it's noted he was in attendance at the American Music Awards in L.A. last month. If he is found to have violated, he could go to jail. That would suck. He just came home from jail around this time last year. 

Meek hopped on Instagram to send a message to his fans before heading to court. He claims he's on probation for something he did when she was 19 (2006, not 2009 like TMZ reported) and that he's currently in a hard fight for his freedom. Check it:

This all comes two days after Nicki celebrated her 33rd birthday and he gifted her a massive new diamond ring.

August Alsina got all up in his feelings and spewed his frustration at his record label Def Jam. Find out what set him off and check out Jidenna’s new visuals “Long Live The Chief” inside….

While this should be a joyous time for R&B crooner August Alsina with his upcoming album set to drop tomorrow, dude was far from happy late last night/early this morning! The New Orleans native went slam OFF on Twitter, spazzing out on his record label Def Jam.

Why? Well, it appears Def Jam made some type of clerical error and his soon-to-be released sophomore album, This Thing Called Life, was sent to Vevo early and was made available for streaming. Problem is, his official release date isn’t until tomorrow (December 11th). So, August did what most celebs do these days and aired his frustrations out on social media.

The “No Love” singer hopped on Twitter and sent a big, fat “f*ck you” to Def Jam and to explain to his fans he had nothing to do with his album leaking early. He tweeted:

After some reflection, he came back to publicly apologize via his Instagram claiming he tweeted those things out of frustration and, in fact, has a great deal of respect for his Def-Jam family. He said he was just extremely disappointed his album leaked. He wrote:

It’s worth noting, Vevo has since taken down his album stream. Well good.

After celebrating his record label WONDALAND’s 1st year anniversary, Jidenna drops some new visuals.

The WONDALAND artist saw major success with his “Classic Man” track which earned him Grammy nomination for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. And now he’s ready to take over the music scene with another track and video titled “Long Live The Chief.”

Kim called on one of her good friends and former “Living Single” co-star Erika Alexander to be her matron of honor for the ceremony. Sounds like a good idea right?
