Hollywood starlet Zoe Saldana is opening up in a new interview, serving up her thoughts straight talk no chaser.

The Avatar star graces the cover of LATINA magazine’s December 2015/January 2016 cover stunting in a Valentino tiered lace and tulle mini.

Inside, the 37-year-old mother of twins chops it up about the controversial biopic on legendary songstress Nina Simone, immigration and how she’s balancing her career and motherhood. And she holds nothing back.

Below are the highlights:

Do you feel personally affected by the immigration debate?
This topic of immigration hurts because I don’t want to be angry anymore. I don’t believe that what anybody else is saying is true about me or my people. I’m kind of embarrassed when you see all of these people talking on national television, and it’s like, “Oh my God, if your grandfather were alive today, when he came here from Ireland, from Italy, escaped the f--king war in Russia. You’re rotting his name to shame. It doesn’t matter how much money you have, or how many degrees from Ivy League schools. You’re such a bigot. You’re such a hick right now.” People have to be open to the reality of what’s happening in our country.

There’s something exciting happening around the U.S., where more people are reckoning with Latino culture.
The only true American here is the Native American. Everyone else is a transplant. We’re going through the exact same thing the Italians went through, the Irish, the Jews, and the Asians. In different ways, but it’s been very similar. After a while, people acculturated, and they only found solace by literally accepting themselves and going, “Whatever. Esta soy yo.” They were like, “This is my new country, but I’m going to keep this from my old, and I’m gonna blend it all.”

On whether she has decided to support a presidential candidate in 2016:

[Shakes her head.] No. When it comes to politics, I like to exercise my civilian right to be private. I’m going to vote, but I’m not a political person. I’m an artist. I’ve been really busy with motherhood and working, so, starting this November, I have a full year to do my work and my research [on the candidates.] My mother was a huge advocate about el voto. If you’re her neighbor and you’re running, she'll vote for you. My grandmother was always like, "Before you open your mouth, know what the f--k you’re going to say. If not, ‘shut up.’"

Let’s talk about your role in the Nina Simone biopic, which hasn’t been released yet. How did you prepare?

I read as much as I could and spoke to as many people who knew her, who interviewed her. I listened to her voice, to her tone. She was angry, and rightfully so. She was a black woman born ahead of her time. Her soul, her spirit was never able to accept or adapt to the heartbreaks that life was giving her. Those are means for insanity. She was bipolar, and at that time, very little was known about bipolar disorder. A lot of people were self-medicating through substances, and she was doing it with alcohol. I wanted to understand all those things, and see what that was going to bring out of me. I never wanted to judge her. There was a lot of criticism when you were chosen to portray Nina, but you were adamant about playing her.

I needed to walk her path. As a woman, it wasn’t difficult to empathize with another woman. But I needed to be very isolated. I moved out of my house for three months. I wasn’t really talking to anybody that I knew. I just needed to be all things Nina. It was so intense, and everything happened really fast. The people behind the project weren’t my cup of tea. The director was fine, but there was a lot of mismanagement, which is why we’re still here three years later. And I’m still trying to fight with everybody to get the movie finished. Nina deserves better.

On balancing her work life and home life:

You come home, you spend time with your family, you stay a little extra after the dinner has been eaten. Y tu hablas. Conversas con tu familia. It’s very important, because by the time you go back to work, it doesn’t feel like work. There’s a separation between being physically tired and being fatigued overall. I don’t like being fatigued. But when my mind is tired, I’m not… no estoy balanceada. No gusta porque me pongo triste.

The #TGIT honcho has dropped a massive 117lbs to date! That’s an amazing feat and we congratulate her on her weight loss success. She credits her weight lost to moderate exercising and smaller portions But, as you likely already know, it wasn’t an easy journey.

There was a defining moment in her life where she decided she HAD to take control for a better and healthier version of herself. And she shares that enlightening moment in her upcoming book, Year of Yes: How to Dance It Out, Stand In the Sun and Be Your Own Person.

In an excerpt, she reveals there was one time she got on a plane, sat in her First Class seat (which are bigger than your average seats) and could NOT fastened the seat belt. She wrote,

"In 2014 I get on a plane to New York. I'm a fancy TV writer. So I have a big first-class comfy seat. I grab the seatbelt and - well it's gotta be broken. Right? RIGHT? I do not have a broken seat belt. I am literally too fat for a first-class airplane seat belt. I have been saying yes to being fat.”

The Golden Globe winner continued,

“I'm not cutely chubby. Or nicely plus size. I am massive. Look, I believe everyone has a right to love their body in whatever size and shape it comes in. But I don't FEEL good.”

Rather than wallow in her sorrows, she decided to do something about it and has made a change for the better.

“[Now] when I walk past the mirror I think, "Who is that?" The girl in the mirror is a size she hasn't been since she was 16 years old. But it's me. That girl looks happy. All it took was the right kind of yes.”

Has our good girl gone bad? We’re not exactly sure. But there are rumors circulating the Internet that Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o isn’t playing nice with her cast mates on the Broadway bound play “Eclipsed.”

Sources are spilling tea to the Daily Mail saying the 12 Years a Slave starlet isn’t the nice and sweet person she portrays to be. In fact, they say she’s a “b*tch” and has the biggest diva attitude off-stage.

Yesterday, the Kenyan beauty was spotted eating soup with her cast mate Pascale Armand outside the Public Theater.

We’re not sure how true these rumors are but we do find it quite coincidental that Lupita is seen having lunch with a cast mate being we haven’t seen her hanging out with cast mates before. But then, it could all just be a huge rumor. The source told the publication Pascale was one of the cast mates who couldn't stand the sight of Lupita.

Hmm...what do you all think? Is Lupita's camp doing damage control or nah?

WHOA! Supermodel Jourdan Dunn is telling Victoria’s Secret how she really feels…allegedly.

The tweet above (that she allegedly posted and deleted) popped up on Twitter earlier today where she said, “Feeling so much better about not doing BS ... sorry I mean VS now that Rihanna isn’t doing it also.” Bloop!

The British beauty is clearly shading the lingerie company all while announcing she will NOT be walking in this year’s VS fashion show. We hear it’s set to be taped next week.

Interestingly enough her announcement comes a day after it was announced that Rihanna would be cancelling her performance and that Kendall Jenner IS walking in the show for the first time. Hmph.

Any guesses on why she decided to drop out? (IF true, of course).

It's Scorpio season and Nelly isn't slowing down on the birthday fun. The St. Louis rapper celebrated his 41st birthday (YES, 41!) a few days ago. And to continue with the birthday celebration, he and his girlfriend Miss Jackson jetted to Las Vegas to party it up.

"The Fix" rapper-turned-reality star took a break from the studio to hit the red carpet at DUB magazine’s SEMA soiree held at the Foxtail Nightclub. He's currently working on his eigth studio album on his new label Records.

Chick has been heavy on the promo trail promoting her new television series and her E! reality show, "Christina Milian Turned Up," which is set to premiere a new season November 3rd.

Before wrapping up the screening, the R&B chick snapped it up with her cast mates Kelly Jenrette, Paget Brewster, John Stamos, Josh Peck and Ravi Patel.

Kiddie #9 for Eddie?  Yep, it's happening.

The legendary 54-year-old comedian and his 36-year-old girlfriend of four years have confirmed they are having a baby.

Eddie's rep issued a statement to "Entertainment Tonight" to share the good news.  The baby is set to make its arrival May 2016.

The newest tiny tot will be joining a slew of siblings, thanks to Papa: Eddie’s oldest children are 26-year-old Eric, with Paulette McNeely, and 25-year-old Christian, with Tamara Hood. Additionally, with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy, he has Bria, 25, Myles, 22, Shayne, 21, Zola, 15, and Bella, 13 -- and his youngest is 8-year-old Angel whose mother is former Spice Girl turned tv star Melanie "Mel B" Brown.

Sheesh!

Eddie, who won the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor recently, seems to be curbing his recluse ways as of late with those daily coffee runs.  Maybe a baby will give him even more reason to get back in the mix of the outside world.  Plus, his upcoming role in Lee Daniels' Richard Pryor biopic will surely get him in front of the cameras much more often as well.

August Alsina sat down with "The Breakfast Club" for a very candid, and quite emotional, interview about his family drama, having suicidal thoughts and dealing with depression, why he groped a woman on stage during a performance, Chris Brown suggesting therapy and more. Highlights inside…

Singer August Alsina is giving a inside look at what life is like for him these days. If you’ve been keeping up with the New Orleans native, you know he’s been making headlines for things like groping up a fan onstage during a performance, his eye surgery and his family drama. Yes, dude has been going through it.

Through it all, he’s making a return to the music scene with his upcoming sophomore album This Thing Called Life, and it’s scheduled to drop December 11th.

To promote his new LP, the 23-year-old singer sat down with Power 105’s “The Breakfast Club” this AM to chop it up about a number of things...and he held nothing back. 

The conversation turns dark (and quite deep) when he reveals he's had suicidal thoughts and is dealing with major depression. (He even painted the walls in his room black).

August also reveals Breezy once suggested he get therapy.  Oh..and yes he's rocking his real hair. #NoShade to Fetty Wap.

From that text message from his cousin blaming him for killing his brother, to his multiple surgeries, to his severely strained relationship with his mom…he lets us all the way in.  Check the highlights below:

On his female cousin popping off on him in a text and accusing him of killing his brother:
“I posted that to put other people on game to see how it is out here. That’s not a he that’s a SHE. Everybody feel like I should do this and do that for them and they are just angry. I can’t do nothing about that. The people that’s suppose to be here for you, I don’t have that aspect in my life. It’s ROUGH when your own people can talk to you like that."

On his cousin saying she was going to expose him:
"All that sh*t about exposing me or whatever. It’s nothing you can tell the world about me because they already know. I live my truth so that you can’t use that sh*t against me. This fame sh*t has my family going a whole different f*cked up direction. What they don’t understand, ain’t no coming from that sh*t. The same person texted me back after that message like ‘Oh, we family, we not suppose to hold grudges against each other. And I still love you.’ Man, f*ck you b*tch. I can’t f*ck with you.”

On not having family:
“To be honest, I don’t have no family. I’m my family. It’s just me. I have my brother, but he figuring his life out. I got my nieces, that’s my family.”

On his strained relationship with his mom:
“My mom is a queen for one reason, she gave me life and she raised me. I can never take that away from my mom. We all have issues."

"My mom is my mom. I don’t expect people to really understand the situation with my mom and her kids. Sometimes we go years, months without talking to her. I applaud my mom for doing all that she has done for us as a parent, but I think that sometimes the mother side gets pushed to the side. I just imagine me having a kid and my kid being an artist and in a song my child sings‘I try to buy my mama love she don’t appreciate me.’ My reaction isn’t to go online to explain myself to the world. My reaction is…let me see what’s wrong with my child because I’m the parent and you’re the child. I feel like a regular person to my mom, not her son.”

On having suicidal thoughts:
“I have thoughts about that sh*t. I just remember being super, overly depressed. Not knowing how to deal with the sh*t. Not having a mother to talk to, my father is dead. I don’t have anyone out here to teach me sh*t. I’m doing all this on my own. I went through so many surgeries, my mama didn’t even check on a n*gga. I’m damn near dead and losing my vision and you don’t check on your kid? It teached me when I have a child is when I’ll have a family. That’s why I put “Song Cry” out. This is my truth. People can take that as depressing or looking for attention, but I’m just giving you my reality. Everybody else is out here living this fantasy world."

On if he still feels like he wants to kill himself:
“[Pause] Hmm..I don’t know man. I’m just kind of all over the place. I’m not just out here moping and depressed. We alive. We breathing.”

On talking to Chris Brown about getting therapy:
“I was talking to Chris about it one time. I sat down and did that [therapy] before, it’s just not my thing. I’m not into it. I help myself over time. It just take me a longer time to go through it and figure it out.”

On groping a woman's breast on stage in Baton Rouge:
“It was the part where I call a lady on stage. To be honest, when I saw the video I didn’t even know, I had no idea that was even happening. I grabbed her titty. She had this sequin dress on and I couldn’t even feel. I talked to her because that’s what media do…make you out to be a monster. She was actually more upset for me because she was a real fan. Don’t try to corrupt my fans. Do I look like a n*gga who pressed to grab a titty? That moment was very innocent.”

On always being sick:
“I’m just a sickly man and I just have to accept that sh*t. I’m good. I been taking care of myself better than before. Not only that, I’m in a better place spiritually and mentally. The last surgery I had was on my sinuses. I basically couldn’t breathe out one side of my nose, so they had to break it."

“I feel nothing. I don’t feel anything. It’s just whatever with me at this point. I done been through so much sh*t I just have to play the cards how they come.”

On if he was sickly before getting into the industry:
“The industry just amplified it. The industry put my sickness on steroids.”

On doing drugs:
“Let me be clear, I don’t do coke. I don’t snort cocaine.”

On This Thing Called Life album trailer:
“At the end of the day I think that’s when we do the most of our thinking. That’s when my mind races the most. I just wanted to put that reality on wax because I think a lot of people hide from that sh*t. A lot of people are just living a lie and want to make it look good to the world. I’m teaching myself everything!”

A few of your fave YBFers tapped into their fashionable sides for Balmain x H&M VIP pre-launch in West Hollywood. Chris Brown hit the carpet before checking out the new collection of clothes in the show room.  

Breezy’s homie Tyga surprisingly left his girlfriend Kylie Jenner behind to attend the event.

While the “Loyal” singer was having fun, more negative reports surrounding CB hit the ‘net.

According to TMZ, a 28-year-old female insurance agent named Jakaria claims she was roughed up by Breezy’s homies recently. She claims she was hospitalized for whiplash after hanging out with Chris and his camp at the Palms Casino Resort early Sunday. Here’s how it allegedly went down:

She says everyone had to leave their phones with his security, and when she went to pick up her 2 phones, his team thought she was trying to steal someone else's.

That's when Jakaria says Brown's security guard got violent, grabbing her by the hair, shaking her around and throwing her to the ground. She says the guard tried to stomp on her but someone mercifully stepped in.
Jakaria says she got home but realized she was in bad shape so she called an ambulance. Doctors told her she had whiplash.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ cops took a battery report and they're looking into the incident.

“Complications” actress Jessica Szohr was in building making her rounds nabbing a photo-op with singer Anderson Paak and Omarion.

Ben Carson is pulling out all the stops to get the young black vote. In an unconventional approach, the republican candidate made a rap ad hoping it will help him gain young voters. Take and listen and get your laugh on with Jason Derulo inside…..

Well if this isn’t some foolery here.

Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson is gunning for the young vote.  And we can't help but think he wanted to throw in the word "black" in that sentence as well. He wants the demo's vote so badly, he decided to go an unconventional route for his newest radio ad.

He’s rapping! Well kinda.

No we’re not making this up. Dr. Carson dropped a cool $150K for the radio play, which he has dubbed “Freedom,” where he joins forces with Aspiring Mogul.

This is actually happening.  Everywhere.  A 60-second spot is expected to debut in two weeks in select cities, including n Miami, Atlanta, Houston, Detroit, Birmingham, Alabama, Jackson, Mississippi, Memphis, Tennessee and Little Rock, Arkansas.

So why a rap? Ben said he decided to do the rap because he wanted to reach the young voters on their level. He told ABC News,

“Reaching them on a level they appreciate and follow and see if we can attract their consciousness about the election. They need to get involved and express their voice through their vote.”

Kim Fields stopped by the “Wendy Show” to chat it up about her new gig on “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Find out why she decided to do the show and how she had to get schooled on “shade” inside….

You may remember Kim Fields as the prissy roommate Régine Hunter from “Living Single” or maybe you remember her as the funny-loving student Tootie Ramsey from “The Facts of Life.”

Well, these days the 46-year-old actress is starring in a hit BRAVO reality show. Granted, it’s one of the largest (if not the largest) reality franchises in tv history, but did Kim really need it?

Hitting the promo trail before the new season premieres November 8th, actress Kim Fields sat down with Wendy Williams to chop it up about her journey. 

The former “Living Single” star revealed she decided to do the show because the opportunity came at the right time in her life. She and her husband Christopher Morgan had been offered reality shows in the past, but they passed them up for various reasons.  When the "RHOA" offer came along, it came at a good time in her life, so she decided to go for it. She said, “Go big or go home. If you’re going to put your toe in the water, put your toe in the Atlantic or Pacific.”

In a funny moment, she said she had NO idea what shade was before she started the show! She said she knew of the show, but her world has been caught up with kids’ stuff. (FYI—She’s the mother of two sons, Sebastian and Quincy) She said, “When I’m talking they’re like ‘Oh, that’s shade” and I’m like ‘Oh Jesus NO! I just don’t know” Ha!

Lastly, she confirmed some “Facts of Life” tea. Actress Charlotte Rae, who played Mrs. Garrett on the show, wrote in her autobiography that producers kept a scale behind-the-scenes for the girls to weigh themselves. Kim confirmed that it was true and that they were always dealing with people talking about their bodies. Ugh!

Amazingly, Game's package wasn't the only thing people noticed in his IG posts seen 'round the world -- because a spokesperson for Ethika tells us sales have erupted more than 500% for the 2 styles the rapper sported.

We're told Game doesn't have a deal with the skivvies co., but they did send him some swag in August. With the huge sales boost ... Game's gonna be so vein.

Alicia Keys' annual Keep A Child Alive Black Ball was a success last night with tons of celebs coming out to support the cause and make their presence known on the black carpet.  Go inside the fabness at the HammersteinBallroom last night inside...

Last night at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, Alicia Keys hosted her 12th Annual Black Ball, emceed by actor, comedian and director, Chris Rock!

The celeb-packed night celebrated the work of KCA and helped to raise the necessary funds to provide treatment and care for children, youth and families living with and affected by HIV in Africa and India.

Before last night's big event, Keep a Child Alive’s Black Ball raised over $24.9 million for children and families affected by HIV.  Nice!

Alicia made a gorgeous appearance in a sheer black gown with her supportive husband Swizz Beatz right by her side. 

A beautiful look for her, even with the leather jacket.  The singer and philanthropist gushed on social media about the big night yesterday saying:

Last night, the blonde bombshell got decked out in some Moschino threads to party it up for Jeremy Scott’s Longchamp 10th anniversary soiree held at a private residence in Beverly Hills.

We told you about Serena Williams quickly transforming into Super Woman and chasing down a man who tried to snatch her phone during dinner. And now, video footage of the incident has been released. Was she dining with rumored beau Alexis Ohanian? Decide inside….

21-time Grand Slam winner Serena Williams is not to be messed with on the tennis court OR off! One guy learned the hard way when he tried to swipe her phone as she was eating dinner with a friend in San Francisco recently.

She explained every detail of the bizarre eventon her Facebook. And now, video footage has been released from the restaurant’s surveillance camera. Yep, we get to see it all go dooooown.  Plus, did we just get proof that those rumors about a new beau could be true?

In the clip, we see Serena dining with a man who closely resembles her rumored new boo Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit. Moments later, a man walks up beside their table, stands there for a few, then swiftly walks away. The 6-time Wimbledon champ realized her phone had been swiped, so she quickly jumped into SuperRena mode and chased him down.

Once outside, she confronted the man where he peacefully handed her the phone back and Rena walked back inside the restaurant. Ha!

Chris Brown just dropped a new single.  Find out how he talks his girl into letting him sex her back to sleep inside...

As the premiere date for his upcoming Royalty album approaches (Nov. 27th), we're going to be seeing plenty of moves from Chris Brown. 

Breezy just released his brand new single "Sex You Back To Sleep," and it's the typical seduction track -- mixed with an upbeat pop sound -- we've come to know and appreciate from the VA native.

The single man croons about that one companion he's itching to see as soon as his plan touches down...and he has strict instructions for her to stay up and wait for him, even if she's half asleep.  He also asked her to call in sick to work the next day so they could handle Round 2. Use those PTO days if you have 'em!

T-Boz is addressing pissed off fans who donated funds for a new TLC album. Find out what she said and get the deets on SWV’s reality show inside….

Last week, Twitter was ablaze after angry fans started hurling frustrated tweets about the alleged upcoming TLC album. The problem? Folks donated their coins, but have yet to receive an album…365+ days later.

TLC member T-Boz called into the Rickey Smiley Morning Show to promote her upcoming performance dubbed “T-Boz Unplugged” on December 6th. She’s set to hit the stage at the Avalon Hollywood with special guests SWV and Da Brat. It will be hosted by YBF teen Zendaya and all the proceeds from the event will go support sickle cell research.

After chatting about her performance, she finally addressed the online backlash. She said she didn’t stiff her fans. In fact, she has been keeping them updated with emails on the happenings of the album and that if people would do their research they would know that. She explained,

“This is the thing if people would do their research because everybody who donated, we’ve sent emails weekly. And on top of that, we did a press release. The problem with people…I refuse to address ignorance because there’s a lot of followers out there. They see one comment and they just jump on the bandwagon and don’t do their research."

She added,

“And at the end of the day that’s what I find really disappointing. Especially with our people. It’s mostly our people doing it and you don’t ever see other races on the internet dogging other people out the way black people do each other. It’s embarrassing and it’s unfortunate to me. I did the press release. What y’all should be worried about is your lack of knowledge and your ignorance. The information has been there.”

Oh?! She still didn’t announce when the album would be released though.

Another reality show is biting the dust.

WEtv’s “SWV Reunited” has been cancelled after two seasons. SWV singer Coko took to her Instagram today to officially make the announcement. She said SWV was kept in the dark about whether the show would be renewed again, but reassured SWV fans this isn't the end for them. She said:

The former Roc Nation artist and "4 AM" singer made the big announcement via an Instagram snippet of a new music visual where she shows off her growing baby bump.  She says she wants it all.

Last night, 25-year-old Tyga and his 18-year-old girlfriend Kylie Jenner were spotted out and about in West Hollywood. And you can’t help but notice how familiar they look. VERY familiar.

It appears T-Raww and his reality star girlfriend took a few pages from Kanye and Kim's fashion book. They both were seen rocking looks identical to what we’ve seen from the Wests before:

The “Stimulated” rapper had his Yeezy look down to a T. He rocked a similar green bomber Ye was obsessed with wearing for a while. He finished his look with earth tone colored jeans and t-shirt and black boots.

Meanwhile, Kylie channeled her big sister’s latest pregnancy obsession: all black everything. She finished her look with a black leather jacket and hid her face behind a pair of sunglasses. These two have said publicly The Wests (individually) are their "idols," so....

After their night out, Tyga and Kylie went back to Calabasas to continue their date night. Kylie shared a clip on SnapChat of their movie night set up, complete with big, fluffy pillows, candles lit and the fire place going.

Is one of the last married couples on “Real Housewives of Atlanta” headed to Splitsville Lane? We’re not sure. But, where there’s smoke, there’s fire.

Rumors are circulating that Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas are having issues. That’s not new news. We all saw him getting super flirtatious and feeling up on a chick in the bar over the summer. Even though they tried to put on a united front, you KNOW they addressed that ish (which we will see in the new season).

Aparently in the premiere season 8 episode (going down this Sunday), a certain statement was said.  During a conversation between Cynthia and her sister Malorie, the former model reveals she’s no longer attracted to her husband of five years.

Malorie asked,“Are you attracted to Peter, even with his clothes off?”

The 47-year-old reality star responded, “No.”

Oh?

Cynthia then adds, “Physical attraction is important, but I am more attracted to Peter’s mind."

Mmhmm…we will get to see it all unfold on the season 8 premiere this Sunday at 8/7c on BRAVO.

Halle Berry headlines and candids have been running rampant on these Internet streets since the Hollywood vet filed legal documents to divorce her husband Olivier Martinez after two years of marriage.

It has been well over a week since news broke that Halle and Olivier are calling it quits. And now, Halle is breaking her silence for the first time.

Earlier this week, the 49-year-old actress trekked to a charity event benefiting domestic violence prevention and intervention organization Jenesse Center in Beverly Hills. During her appearance, she stopped to chop it up with “EXTRA” where she broke her silence for the first time amid divorce proceedings.

For the most part, it appears she’s doing ok and staying strong for her kids. She said,

"I'm doing okay, I really am. I, I keep pushing and I'm really happy to be here because whenever you're going through anything in life, when you step outside yourself and focus on others, that's always the best remedy for any situation that you'd rather not be dealing with."

The mother-of-two certainly seems to be well put together since the filing. She has been spotted out with her daughter Nahla, she dressed up as a pirate with her daughter for Halloween (little Maceo had the chicken pox!), and hit some red carpet events since the split. You have to say strong for the kiddies. 

The Oscar winning actress teamed up with Entertainment Industry Foundation to celebrate the center's 35th anniversary at the swanky affair. The Jenesse Center is an organization dedicated to domestic violence prevention and intervention.  Her involvement is something Halle holds close to her heart having to deal with domestic violence in her home growing up. During her speech at the benefit for Jenesee Center she opened up saying,

"I saw my mother battered and beaten many years of my life and I felt helpless. And that's what connects me to this organization. I have an understanding, a knowing. I feel like I have something that I can impart to these women. It seems like I've overcome it, but I really haven't. In the quiet of my mind, I still struggle. So while I'm helping these women, I'm helping myself through it, too. And that's largely why I'm here."

Wow. We can’t help but wonder if these issues have affected her own personal life as an adult. Either way, it’s nice to see a YBF celeb using their platform for the greater good.  We're sure it’s therapeutic for her as well.

Michael B. Jordan is on a promo run for his brand new movie Creed.

Oh, hey hottie.  Creed opens up on Thanksgiving, so star Michael B. Jordan is making his promo rounds....and he looks damn good.

He attended Fight Night (presented by Under Armour) in DC last night.  His director -- who also directed him in Fruitvale Station -- Ryan Coogler was right by his side along with the legendary Michael Buffer as Michael copped a customized CREED robe.

The "Friday Night Lights" and "The Wire" star is all grown up...and we love it.

Today, he jetted to Philly (where the movie was shot) to promote the film during a press conference with Ryan and castmates Sly Stallone and Tessa Thompson:
