Rap's power couple Meek Mill And Nicki Minaj headed out of Lure Nightclub in West Hollywood last night.

Though they both look somber in the pics, we're sure Meek and Nicki turned up when they were inside the club.  Why shouldn't they be happy?  Meek is still riding the biggest waves of success in his short career. His latest album Dreams Worth More Than Money held onto the #1 on Billboard for a second week and of course...he's dating the baddest chick in the game.  He should have a permanent smile.

We spotted "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" star Ray J arriving at Craig's restaurant for dinner in Melrose, CA.

Ray J, who made a cameo on the season premiere of "Hollywood Divas" as a friend of Shar Jackson and Countess Vaughn, recently opened up about sister Brandy'sNY train ride where her singing was ignored. Ray thinks Brandy is a big jokester and it was all a prank.

At LAX.....

Fresh from her train ride in NYC, we saw Brandy arriving at LAX yesterday.  The 36-year-old star, who's received rave reviews as Roxie Hart in the Broadway musical “Chicago,” is currently working on a new BET rom-com titled "Zoe Moon."

The UPTOWN Magazine cover girl was so happy to touch down in LA that she took a selfie while passing through TSA. Check out her phone...

Baller J.R. Smith broke out his post-modern skateboard as he arrived at LAX.

Perhaps J.R. is on his way to Cleveland to work out a deal?  For now, he's still a free agent, but we hear he's really hoping to sign to the Cavaliers again.

Ciara and her boyfriend, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, took over the carpet at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Sports Awards 2015 at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion on Thursday in Westwood, California.  Cheek kisses were flowing...and maybe a few other things for the 'celibate' couple.

Even Baby Future made a super cute appearance.  Ciara kept it cute and casual in a leopard Bouchra jacket, Rag & Bone heels and Barbara Bui Official heels. [Loving Ciara's look?  Buy it for yourself over at @eicstyle!]

Less than 24 months since their reconciliation, Monique Mosley, the wife of famed producer Timbaland, has filed for divorce...again.  More inside...

For the second time in less than two years, Monique Mosley, the wife of Timbaland, has served him with divorce papers. Us Weekly confirms that Monique filed the divorce petition on June 22 in a Florida court.

In case you didn't know, Monique and Timbaland (aka Timothy Mosley) work together on the Fox series "Empire" where he is the show's music producer.  She serves as the wardrobe stylist.  So.....it will be interesting to see how that plays out for Season 2. SIDEBAR - Many of the clothes worn by Taraji P. Henson come straight from Monique's closet!

In her previous divorce petition (October 2013), Monique requested life insurance, money for private schooling, summer camp and vacations (see that post here), so we expect her to go after his new "Empire" wealth too this time around.  Was this always her plan in order to get more money?  Who knows.

On social media, both Tim and Mo have been silent about their personal life, but, Monique did retweet a post about staying out of their business.

The couple, who briefly reconciled in 2014, are also the parents of Monique's son Demetrius, 12, from a previous relationship.

Brandy worked the staged in Bryant Park yesterday for a free lunchtime series, performing alongside her “Chicago” co-stars. Meanwhile, Evan Ross and his pregnant wife Ashlee Simpson were spotting bumping around L.A. More inside...

If you happened to be grabbing lunch in Bryant Park yesterday, you totally lucked out.  Outside of killing the stage at the Ambassador Theatre on the longest-running American musical on Broadway, Brandy took her talents to the NYC streets yesterday.

B-Rocka and her “Chicago” co-stars provided afternoon entertainment for 106.7 LITE FM’s Broadway in Bryant Park, a free lunchtime series featuring on-and-off Broadway performances throughout the summer.
 

The 36-year-old star wowed the audience with a few performances from the Tony Award winning show, including performances of hits “Roxie” and “All That Jazz.”

Looks like it was just as flawless as B's actual Broadway performance. You can catch Brandy as Roxie Hart in the musical up until August 2nd, which will end her debut Broadway stint.

On the west coast....

Newlyweds Evan Ross and his very pregnant wife Ashlee Simpson were spotted bumping along in L.A. yesterday.  Chick looks ready to pop!

As they left the mall, Evan and Ashlee shared a hug before making their way to their waiting vehicle. Aww...

With their baby girl looking to be making her arrival VERY soon, the twosome was likely picking up a few items for their new bundle of joy. You can never buy enough when shopping for a little princess.

And the countdown begins! Little Baby Ross will be here before we know it....

The 2015 Kids' Choice Sports Awards show were held last night and attended by several YBF celebs and their kids. See pics inside...

Last night, Nickelodeon taped the Kids' Choice Sports Awards at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion in Westwood, CA, all hosted by NFL baller Russell Wilson.

 The live broadcast of Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Sports 2015 will encore Friday, July 17, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) and in case you missed it, watch Ciara and  Russell kissing on the red carpet and doing the Nae Nae on stage during the show here.

Former New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter attended the awards with his nephew, the adorable Jalen Jeter-Martin.

While play a few games outside the pavilion, the Jeters bumped into NFL player Greg Jennings. 

Derek was given the Legends Award during the ceremony for his talent, integrity and sportsmanship on and off the field.

Jalen got to meet ESPY Breakout Athlete winner Mo'Ne Davis too! This pic is ridiculously cute.

Derek proved he's a fun dad during the show.  He allowed himself to get slimed and the kids loved it. 

NBA Champion Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors showed up with fan favorite and press conference champ Riley Curry.

Riley was on hand to watch her dad get three awards (CLUTCH PLAYER OF THE YEAR, BEST MALE ATHLETE, SICKEST MOVES).

Nick is making headlines for a little dispute with his ex-Mariah Carey.  OK Magazine reports that Nick is against Mariah taking their kids Roc and Roe to Australia to meet her new boyfriend's family.  Tsk Tsk.  We hope this isn't a sign of jealousy.

When the President of the United States actually shows he gives a damn and makes historic moves, you can’t help but feel a sense of hope. Well that’s what President Barack Obama is doing after becoming the first sitting president to visit a federal prison in the pursuit of prison reform. Get the deets on his notable visit inside….

As the end of his presidency nears, President Barack Obama is clearly focused on leaving behind a legacy he can be proud of.

On Thursday, POTUS made history books as the first sitting president to visit a federal prison on his quest for criminal justice reform. Our Commander-in-Chief jetted to the Federal Correctional Institution El Reno in Oklahoma to visit a few inmates who are currently behind bars at the medium-security prison for drug offenses.

President Obama sat down with 6 prison inmates to get insight on what led to their current situation: life behind bars. And he found that the young men he spoke to were much like him when he was an adolescent. As you may recall, our President was a marijuana smoker during his teenage years, so he reportedly said he saw a lot of himself in the young men. 

After his sitdown with the inmates, President Obama shared with reporters,

"When they describe their youth and their childhood, these are young people who made mistakes that aren't that different from the mistakes I made and the mistakes that a lot of you guys made.”

While he saw much of himself in them after they shared their stories, he realized these men didn’t have the resources nor were they given a “second chance” to try and get their lives on track like he did. He added,

"The difference is, they did not have the kind of support structures, the second chances, the resources that would allow them to survive those mistakes."

"It's not normal. It's not what happens in other countries. What is normal is teenagers doing stupid things. What is normal is young people making mistakes."

Very true.

Later, POTUS was given a tour of the facility, where he was shown where the inmates spend much of their time…inside a cell. While viewing their sleeping quarters, he said,

"Three full-grown men in a 9-by-10 cell. Overcrowding like that is something that has to be addressed."

Earlier this week Obama was lobbying to eliminate mandatory minimum sentences for nonviolent drug offenders. On Monday, he reduced federal prison sentences for 46 nonviolent drug offenders, where 14 of those inmates are currently serving life terms. While his efforts are commendable, it’s going to take bipartisan support to push legislation through the government to help reduce unfair sentences given to those doing long prison sentences for nonviolent drug-related crimes.

As you know, black men make up a disprortionate percentage of the American jail population; 40% to be exact, which is three times their proportion in the nation’s population. And that’s a problem President Obama is working to fix.

Christina Milian is still hard at work at her Pop Up shop, while her bestie Karrueche Tran was spotted on the red carpet at a charity event in Hollywood yesterday. On the east coast, Laverne Cox spent her evening exploring fashion in NYC. Peep their candids inside….

Christina Milian has been really hands-on since the opening of her ‘We Are Pop Culture’ pop up shop in West Hollywood.  At least, according to pictures.

A few days ago, she proved she's not one to shy away from a little hard work. She was busy making sure the showroom was spotless as she swept (in heels) around the shop. Yesterday, she returned for a behind-the-scenes look at a photoshoot that was going down on the grounds.
 

With everything going on with her rumored boo Lil Wayne (lawsuits, shoot-outs, etc.), it appears she’s keeping busy and staying focused on her own projects. We assume C-Milli and Weezy will be celebrating one year of their coupledom status. You’ll recall, we first learned of their budding relationship around this time last year when they showed up at the 2014 ESPY Awards holding hands.

We haven't heard much about the twosome spending time together lately...so we wonder if everything is still smooth sailing in paradise.

C-Milli’s bestie Karrueche Tran got glammed up in a nude Nookie bodycon dress to attend the Matt Leinart Foundation's 9th Annual Celebrity Bowl For Charity at Lucky Strike in Hollywood yesterday.

We wonder if Kae called up Chris Brown after his home was ransacked by masked gunmen…you know…since she hasn’t completely ruled out the idea of them getting back together and all.

“Orange Is The New Black” star Laverne Cox is still living life in the fab lane in NYC. She has been busy hitting up several events, including a recent screening of the mystery drama flick Irrational Man (which hits theaters today). Yesterday, she was front and center for the launch of the “Dino Tales” and “Safari Tales” games at the American Museum Of Natural History along with her "OITNB" co-star Dascha Polanco.

Later in the evening, she made her way to the Wilhelmina Models’ New York Fashion Week Men’s S/S 2016 party at Marquee (above).

We've got an update on Bobbi Kristina, and things are getting sadder by the day. Find out why some outlets are preparing for the worst inside....

Since Wednesday evening, photographers and cameramen camped outside of Peachtree Christian Hospice have photographed a constant stream of Houstons and Browns coming to pay their respects to Bobbi Kristina (see photos here). 

And because several outlets have reported seeing family members wiping away tears and leaving with somber faces, it's caused some to speculate about the fate of Bobbi Kris whose been fighting for her life since she was found unconscious on January 31st.

According to the Daily Mail, the most alarming sight was the erection of a white tent this week against the back exit of the hospice.  Later, a hearse backed into the tent. Of course there are other families at the hospice, but the presence of Houston and Browns since Wednesday has heightened dramatically.

The tent was erected late Wednesday evening and completely blocked views from all angles (see those pics here). The Daily Mail says the hearse showed up soon after the tent appeared and after Bobbi Kris' loved ones began arriving. While the tent could be connected to another family, we also know the Houston/Browns are concerned about photos of Bobbi Kristina's body being removed from the hospice being splashed across the tabloids.  Someone has already "shopped" a photo of Bobbi Kris while in her coma to the tabloids.

Because the Houston/Brown families have kept silent about Bobbi Kristina's exact condition since the family statement they put out in June, we will have to wait for an official announcement. But it looks grim.

In the meantime, family friend Tyler Perry published an open letter today urging fans to give the family space and privacy - and to stop speaking death on the living. He said,

This morning I woke up with Whitney on my mind. I couldn't help but think about all that she must have dreamed for her child. I know this was not her dream... And as difficult as this time is for the people that love both Whitney and Krissi, what makes it more egregious is the blatant disrespect, lies, and ignorance that are rapidly printed in this awful time. For some reason, it has become human nature in our society to look for, seek out, and celebrate darkness, glory in tragedy, and enjoy reading and reporting it.

It makes me sad to know that everybody wants to be the first to report something awful. So much so, that they find it OK to speak death onto those who are still alive. May I ask you all to please show some decency and respect? Not only to Krissi's family, but also to the other families that are there in this place. Not only is Krissi at the center but there are several other families who are grieving the loss of their loved ones at the same time. It's heartbreaking to think that even in a time like this, this child is still not allowed any peace. I assure you, the family will issue an official statement if something changes. Until then, can we just pray for Krissi, and the Houston and Brown families?

Before Elle Varner and the likes, there was Vivian Green...the emotional & soulful R&B hottie singing about the real-life pains of love and relationships that we all could relate to.

Now, the 31-year-old is back with her fifth studio album Vivid (8/7).  Fresh off the release of her first single off the album, "Get Right Back To My Baby" (#GRBTMB), she gave us the remix to premiere here on TheYBF.com. 

But first, we had to catch up with the gorgeous Philly native and do some grown-woman-talk. Here's what she's learned about love and relationships since going through it on her previous albums:

We fell in love with you in the "Emotional Rollercoaster" days...and we still bump the track while going through drama.  Has the way you deal with romantic relationships now changed?  What can you share with your fellow ladies about what you've learned about love and relationships since the release of your debut single?
"My debut single was 12 years ago and I was 19 when I wrote it; so naturally my perspective on love is completely different. I'm a different person. That single was about my first love and I was a vulnerable young girl who didn't know anything. Now, I'm a grown woman four albums in, with a fifth (Vivid) on the way.  There were many life lessons along my journey. I'm definitely not the woman who's on Emotional Rollercoasters; not at all.

Since my first two singles: "Emotional Rollercoaster" from A Love Story and "Gotta Go Gotta Leave" from sophomore album Vivian, I've learned to never give all of my power away when in a relationship. I think this is KEY for women because we often give too much to our own detriment. Always leave some for yourself. I've also learned being single is a great time to learn about yourself.  It's good for reflection and growth."

How are you balancing staying true to your sound and the pressure of the illusion that an artist MUST have a radio record to "succeed"?
"I was afraid of my current single "Get Right Back to my Baby" at first because it's my first up-tempo single and I was nervous the fans wouldn't feel me. I'm so glad the response has been great! I honestly never felt pressure from radio. What is difficult is staying in your given "lane" or "sound," because as a creative person you want to do more than the box you were put in will allow. This is my biggest creative challenge. Sometimes I want to make music that's not R&B/Soul, but my fans most likely wouldn't feel me. As far as radio goes, I think the landscape of the industry has changed and artists don't necessarily always have to depend on radio to be successful, for example Janelle Monae, Goapele, Tech9, and Eric Roberson. So nowadays, you can have a career outside of radio which I think is cool for new artist. The industry is definitely changing.
 

Since artists are constantly inspired, which Sounds and artists are influencing your music at this very moment?
"I'm inspired by life when I create, and the artists that I grew up listening to will always be my musical inspirations.  That includes Stevie Wonder, Babyface, Michael Jackson, Whitney, Toni Braxton, Holland Dozier Holland to name a few."

The 43-year-old flawless fem is gearing up for the release of the romantic thriller, The Perfect Guy, also starring sexy YBF gents Morris Chestnut and Michael Ealy. So much sexy in one film.

The Perfect Guy will hit theaters September 11th, one week before she celebrates her 44th birthday, increasing the “flawsomeness” of the 40+ baddie club.

RiRi took a break from the studioand the gym to dine at trendy restaurant Mercer Kitchen in SoHo last night.  And we LOVE when she plays up her sexy sweet side. Freakin' stunning.

Chick was her usual free spirited self, rocking a white high slit floral dress while going braless underneath and her hair in wild, tousled curls. We're actually diggin' her flower child 90's steez she has been on lately.

As much as she has been in the studio and with the release of the visuals for her "BBHMM" track, one can only hope R8 will be released soon.

It looks like EJ had a bit of a 'tude when he pumped out of the club.  He gave one photographer "the hand."

Tyson Beckford is also in NYC this week.  He's in town for NYC's Men's Fashion Week and last night, he partied at the Electric Room.  Although Tyson's Polo Ralph Lauren days are long behind him, he's still one of our favorite male models of all-time.

British Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton was seen leaving his Soho hotel and heading out to dinner at Tao restaurant.  While in town, he reportedly got a new tattoo and famed tattoo parlor Bang Bang (the same place Rihanna goes).  Check out pics here.
 

Of course, clothes lover Amar'e Stoudemire didn't miss out on the fashion week activities. We spotted the new Miami Heat baller at the Jeffrey Rudes presentation at the designer's SoHo store.

As Tyrese’s new studio album Black Rose climbs the charts, the R&B crooner reveals he wrote the entire album for his ex. And he desperately wants her back! More inside…

Tyrese has been on the promo trail something heavy for his newest album Black Rose. If you follow his Instagram, postings, you see he’s been doing a lot of grassroots marketing to promote his new LP, including singing on the bus and shooting mini videos with homeless people.

On his quest for a No. 1 album (which is currently #1 in twelve countries), he has also been heavily participating in conventional forms of advertising, hosting meet and greets and doing interviews for radio and TV. So this morning, he stopped by Power 105’s The Breakfast Club to chop it up with the radio hosts about his sixth studio album, dubbing it his final LP.

While chopping it up with the Breakfast Club hosts, he made it crystal clear this album (which by the way is independent) was written for the woman he spent the last five years in a relationship with, much like Robin Thicke did with his Paula LP to try and save his marriage with his now ex-wife Paula Patton. (Let’s hope, for Tyrese’s sake, he’s more successful than Robin).

According to Ty, Black Rose will be his last album due to a judge granting him more custody with his daughter Shayla Gibson. He said he can’t be out in these streets weeks at a time after asking a judge to grant him more time with his daughter, so he decided to put fatherhood first and solely focus on continuing to build his special bond with his daughter.

So what inspired Ty to release a new R&B album? He revealed he was in a relationship for over five years where he “effed” it up. He said he did some things he’s ashamed of and now he’s hoping to make it right.

While talking about his new single “Shame” (which features Jennifer Hudson), he talked about how his personal life put him into overdrive in his musical career after his girl decided to leave him (which we assume is over infidelity situations). Break-ups always seem to have that effect. He explained,

“And that’s where the inspiration for the song ‘Shame’ came from. It’s a song about being honest, transparent and vulnerable. For it to be No. 2 on Billboard right now, its just confirmation that when you do things from your heart, it affects hearts.”

It’s clear his break-up has inspired some good music, considering how his album is currently climbing the charts. But apparently, the music charts aren’t the only thing he’s after. He wants his girl back! And isn’t afraid to show it. In fact, he hopes the interviews he’s conducting while promoting the album will help him get back good with his main chick. He said,

“My girl been gone for like 10 months. I don’t like coming home and my girl ain’t there. I don’t like it. I been doing interviews to figure out what I can say and do to get my girl back. I’m ashamed.” When asked if he wants his girl back he said, “I do!”

Later, he talked about pride and ego being the No. 1 relationship killer.  So Ty has seen the light and wants his girl back…by any means necessary. Gotta do what you gotta do.

In the interview, he also talks about racial barriers in the music industry (comparing how urban stations will play artists like Sam Smith & Justin Timberlake, but Pop stations won’t play his records), why R&B music is dying, and he talks about working with “Empire” star V. Bozeman through his Voltron label to help complete her debut album. So, we can probably put the dating rumors to rest.

Russell Wilson and Ciara are in love and they want the world to know.  But with both of them recently hopping out of previous relationships....and both of them talking so much about this relationship, we're wondering if it's too soon?  Or is it all just right?  Let's talk about it...

Let's talk about love.  Russell and Ciara's love.  She met him on a Monday, took him to the White House on a Tuesday and starting picking out China patterns on Wednesday.  In addition to revealing the deets of their non-existent sex life, Russell gave a fawning interview about Cici that made us scratch our heads.  Now....we're not cynics.  We BELIEVE in Black Love, but Russell told "Extra"'s Renee Bargh last night:

"I don't think we're taking things slow, I think we're just trying to always put each other first, it's gonna be a great thing and I love her to death."

No shade.....but we've seen Ciara's track record and she's the Flo-Jo of love. We watched the relationship with 50 Cent progress quickly and well....that whole Future situation. The girl loves to be in love....but seems to pick the wrong fellas.

Still, we wouldn't be surprised if she finally got it RIGHT with Russell.  They're adorable together.

But then there's this: Ciara is FRESH out of a failed relationship with Future and she's a single mom to a tiny tot, plus the ink on Russell's divorce papers dried recently, and he was just hugged up on a mystery chick just a month or two before he and Ciara got linked at the hip.

It's none of our business...but for conversation's sake....do we think these kids are moving too fast with what they're revealing to the media?  Or is fast love GOOD love....because it's raw and real?

We root for love...but we'd hate to watch Ciara rush down the aisle and end up being Russell's 2nd ex-wife.  #jussayin.  But...we'll be honest....a couple that can "Nae Nae" together definitely may have a future together. No pun intended.

In legal woes news….Jeremih was busted by police for DUI…on his birthday! Meanwhile, a judge plans to move forward with the $5 million lawsuit filed against 50 Cent by Rick Ross’ baby mama, even after Fif filed for bankruptcy. Deets inside…

One sure way to mess up a birthday celebration is getting arrested! Jeremih knows all too well.

The R&B crooner brought in his 28th birthday behind bars after he was arrested by police for driving under the influence. Uber anyone? Here’s what happened….

According to TMZ, authorities in San Fernando Valley pulled the “Planes” singer around 2:15 am Friday morning. Once police realized his judgement was impaired, they booked him for misdemeanor DUI and was hauled off to jail. Jeremih ended up spending the night in the big house, but was released around 11am after posting a $15,000 bail.

Luckily, he got out in time to hit the stage for J. Cole’s “Forest Hills Drive Tour” in San Diego last night.

In other legal woes news....

50 Cent tried it…but failed! You’ll recall, the NYC rapper filed for bankruptcy days after Rick Ross’ baby mama Lastonia Leviston filed a $5 million lawsuit against him for posting up a sex tape online. Get those deets HERE and HERE.

He recently spoke to E! News explaining why he decided to file for bankrupcty saying,

"I'm taking the precautions that any other good businessperson would take in this situation," 50 told E! News at his Southpaw junket Monday. "You know when you're successful and stuff, you become a target. I don't wanna be a bulls eye. I don't want anybody to pick me as the guy that they just come to with astronomical claims and go through all that."

In an attempt to have the lawsuit thrown out, Fif had his whole life laid out in court, including his top creditors and total liabilities, hoping to convince the judge to not go forward with the lawsuit, according to reports. His goal was to halt the punitive damages phase of the trial, which could cost him a boatload of money.

Despite the rapper's bankruptcy filing, the judge plans to move forward with the lawsuit and it will go to trial. Nice try Fif.

President Barack Obama is set to spend a father-daughter weekend with his daughters Sasha and Malia Obama in NYC. Meanwhile, cutie North West is spending her weekend with her aunt Khloe Kardashian and cousin Penelope Disick. Peep the pics inside….

After his historic visit at a federal prison earlier in the week, President Barack Obama is looking to enjoy some quality time with his daughters Sasha Obama, Malia Obama and their friends.

POTUS was spotted leaving the White House yesterday with Sasha and her friends as they boarded Marine One en route to New York City. Malia is already in NYC for her super cool summer internship. She has been working behind-the-scenes on Lena Dunham’s “Girls” series for HBO.   

First Lady Michelle Obama decided to stay at the White House while the girls spend some time with their pops.

Upon landing in NYC, President Obama first had to take care of some political business. He reportedly headlined a Democratic fundraiser in the Upper West Side.

After he got that out of the way, POTUS took his girls and their friends to dine on some Italian cuisine at Carbone restaurant. Yum. The First Family (minus Michelle) is expected to spend the night in NYC and kick-off more festivities today.

Elsewhere....

Little North West spent her Friday night having fun with her auntie Khloe Kardashian and big cousin Penelope Disick.

They enjoyed a fun-filled night of watching movies, wrestling and it appears the twosome had some fun in the pool as they both were wearing bathing suits.  

Khloe posted up an adorable video of the tiny tots turning up saying “diamond.” We’re not sure if they just finished listening to Rihanna’s “Diamonds” or if they were just having fun saying the word. Either way, they brought the cuteness:

We told you Jaden Smith is starring in a new Netflix series. And now we have the first look at the young actor on the set in Brooklyn. Check out Jaden and his ‘fro filming for "The Get Down" along with flicks of Rihanna trekking to the studio in pink pajamas, a see-through bra and slippers inside….

Filming for a new Netflix series is underway. And Jaden Smith was spotted decked out in ‘70s threads and a big afro for his character in Brooklyn yesterday. The After Earth star nabbed a role in Baz Luhrmann’s music-driven Netflix drama “The Get Down.”

Starring opposite DOPE star Shameik Moore (above), Jaden will be playing Marcus 'Dizzee' Kipling, a psychedelically talented and enigmatic graffiti writer' from the Bronx.

Deadline provides a synopsis of the film that reads:

Set in 1970s New York City, the series — a long-time passion project for Luhrmann — revolves around a ragtag crew of South Bronx teenagers who are wild in the streets — nothings and nobodies with no one to shelter them, except one another. Smith will recur as Marcus “Dizzee” Kipling, 18, a psychedelically talented and enigmatic graffiti writer raised in the South Bronx.
 

Sounds interesting.

The 13-episode series will debut on Netflix in 2016. We're here for it. Will you be tuning in?

Looks like Rihanna was ready to pull an all-nighter in a NYC studio late last night/early this morning.

RiRi pulled off a look like only she can. The Bajan beauty made her way to the studio around 3AM rocking pink silk pajamas, a see-through bra and pink furry slippers. Chick can literally wear anything and make it look good.

And it looks like she was sipping on a glass of wine to get in her "zone." We know Rih loves her wine. 

HOT! Let's hope she's putting the finishing touches on the R8 album.

Nicki Minaj’s “The Pinkprint Tour” debuted with make-out sessions between the raptress and her boyfriend Meek Mill in Dallas last night. Share their rap love inside…

Nicki Minaj has officially kicked off the North American leg of “The Pinkprint Tour,” bringing Meek Mill, Tinashe, Dej Loaf and Rae Sremmurd along as supporting acts.

The Pinkprint crew rolled into the Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas, Texas last night to perform before a sold out place of 19,150 fans. And Nicki made sure to put on an interesting show for her Barbz. Rap's favorite couple (or whatever) kept the stage extra hot with their public display of affection throughout their performances:
 

While performing her new joint track “All Eyes On You” with her boyfriend Meek, the “Anaconda” raptress leaned in to give her beau a kiss, sending Barbz into a damn frenzy. The Young Money rap star could hardly keep her hands off her man as she also LICKED him in the mouth after another performance.

Russell Simmons’ Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation celebrated its 20th anniversary at the 16th annual Art For Life charity event yesterday. And celebs flocked to the occasion in their Roaring 20s gear to celebrate. Peep the pics inside….

Russell Simmons brought his gorgeous daughters Aoki Lee and Ming Lee along as his dates for his Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation (founded with his brothers Danny Simmons& Rev. Run) 20th anniversary celebration. The foundation celebrated its anniversary at the 16th annual Art For Life Benefit at Fairview Farms in Water Mill yesterday with a Roaring 20s theme.

The star-studded event raised funds for arts in schools and other programs that benefit children and emerging artists.

Making it a family affair, the Hip Hop mogul invited a few of his family members to the event as well. His nephew Russell "Russy" Simmons II came out to support looking dapper as ever. Little Russy is turning into a handsome young man.

Russell’s niece Angela Simmons kept with the Roaring 20s theme channeling a flapper girl in a Jovani Fashions custom dress and Casa Reale jewels. She finished her look with a pair of purple pumps and a cigarette holder prop.

Gorge.

Angie’s brother JoJo Simmons was also in the mix snapping it up with his younger brother Russy.

R&B songstress Elle Varner was a breath of fresh air in an all white suit.

The “Don’t Wanna Dance” singer was all smiles on the carpet alongside former Def Jam A&R Jojo Brim and music exec Kevin Liles.

Kevin surely had the men’s fashion on lock as he posed it up next to his wife Erika Liles.

Olympic track and field gold medalist Sanya Richards-Ross kept with the theme for the night's festivities.

Fab directress Ava DuVernay kept it elegant in a high-waisted printed skirt and black shirt. She flew in via helicopter to accept an award  after speaking at the BlogHer event earlier in the day. 

Comedian Dave Chappelle popped up at the event to accept an award. Looking good Dave.

He snapped it up on the carpet with “Real Husbands of Hollywood” executive producer Stan Lathan and Russell.

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Cynthia Bailey hit the carpet in all black. And her husband Peter Thomas (not pictured) wasn't far behind. The twosome are still going strong after that inappropriate video of Peter kissing on another woman surfaced online.

“CBS This Morning” co-anchor Gayle King got jazzy in her Roaring 20s outfit.

Former CNN host and CEO of Starfish Media Group Soledad O'Brien looked lovely in a long-sleeve cut-out gown on the carpet.

Honorees Dave, Ava and Simon de Pury took the stage to accept their awards snapping a group shot with the host of the evening Soledad, foundation founders Russell & Danny and featured artist Wangechi Mutu.

During Dave’s acceptance speech, he shared with the audience that the arts education he received in high school is what saved him and helped him to become successful.

The SELMA director also took the podium for her acceptance speech and she was honored with a hand drawn self portrait. Nice.

While on stage, Ava laughed it up and high-fived honoree Simon de Pury.

Later...

Elle hit the stage to serenade the audience with a few tracks. Sing Elle!

And 90s group Bell Biv DeVoe took us back as they performed a few of their famous hits.

Ava shared a photo-op with Russell and his brother Danny Simmons.

“Inside the Actors Studio” creator James Lipton came out to show support.

On the dance floor, Dave and Gayle were spotted sharing a dance.

And Russell was gracious enough to snap a few selfies. Fab times.
