Following the season finale of “American Idol,” judge Jennifer Lopez is back to work…but on a new project. The 45-year-old stunna will be starring in a new NBC series titled “Shades of Blue,” set to premiere early 2016.

The “Booty” singer was spotted for her first day on location filming for the upcoming cop drama in the Astoria Queens neighborhood in NYC yesterday.

JLo will be playing a single mother who becomes a undercover federal informant on an anti-corruption taks force unit. She eventually comes to a crossroad where she has to decide between her own family’s welfare and that of her police family.

And look stopped by the set to show support...

Her ex (and maybe current)-boyfriend Casper Smart. The twosome was spotted hand-in-hand as she made her way to the set. Hmmm…JLo did say she was “kind of” single…maybe she’s LESS single nowadays.

After wrapping the first day of filming, she snapped an "us-ie" with the cast with the caption, "First day of @nbcshadesofblue wrapped!!! #StayTuned #ComingSoon #Early2016 #ShadesOfBlueNBC"

Down south...

Chocolate City star Vivica A. Fox spent some time catching some rays in Miami Beach today. Rocking a red swimsuit, the 50-year-old star (who celebrates a birthday at the end of this month) was seen sunbathing to perfect her tan before the VIP screening of her new stripper flick at the Dreamville Beach Resort in Miami later tonight.

Afterwards, the YBF chick linked up with her publicist B.J. Coleman, hair stylist Daryon Haylock and Miami real estate agent Tomi Rose to lunch on some Italian eats at Carpaccio. Yum!

Married WNBA stars Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson’s roller coaster relationship continues. New reports suggest Brittney filed for an annulment from her wife a day after Glory announced they were expecting their first child together. And get this…they’ve only been married for 28 days! But do we believe it? Decide for yourself inside….

UPDATE [6-6-15 8:45am ET]:

Glory Johnson is now speaking out about her wife Brittney Griner filing for an annulment. And she says she had NO idea Brittney wanted to end their marriage.

Glory’s sports marketing agent D.J. Fisher told TMZ,"Glory was unaware of the filing and still loves and cares for Brittney. Glory loves Brittney and made a huge sacrifice to carry a child, put her career on hold, to invest in their relationship and their future. As a result she won't be playing this season."

He went on to say that Glory was invested in the relationship and that she was serious about starting her life with her wife. He added,

"Glory wouldn't intentionally do anything to hurt Brittney and has tried her best to protect her and their marriage. Obviously this marriage was about them starting their life together. Glory is the sweetest thing in the world and she was dedicated to their partnership. She knows how important marriage is and made a lifetime commitment and decision to spend the rest of her life with Brittney."

On the flip side, Brittney is singing a totally different tune. She claims they agreed to go their separate ways last week and that she attempted to postpone the wedding several times before eventually going through with it. Now she realizes she made a mistake. Brittney tells TMZ,

"Last Wednesday, Glory and I agreed to either legally separate, get divorced, or annul our marriage. In the week prior to the wedding, I attempted to postpone the wedding several times until I completed counseling, but I still went through with it. I now realize that was a mistake."

Yesterday, WNBA star Glory Johnson took to her Instagram to announce she and her new wife Brittney Griner were expecting their first child together. Just last month, the seemingly happy couple tied the knot at the Tapatio Cliffs Resort in Arizona. But, it seems, things have gone totally left since then (again)…IF these new reports are true.

According to TMZ, Brittney trekked it to the courthouse to officially file papers for an annulment from her wife Glory after being married for less than a month. SAY WHAT?!
 

They exchanged their “I Do” on May 8th, just a week and a half  after they were both arrested for a domestic violence situation at their home.

They were both suspended for 7 games by the WNBA although Glory will be sitting out the upcoming season due to being pregnant. Brittney was ordered to do domestic violence counseling, while Glory’s case is still pending.

We’re aren’t totally sold on the annulment allegations since hours ago, Glory posted this:

She captioned, "One day until I'm reunited with my Wife @brittneygriner . . . This is about to be one CRAZY SUMMER!!! #TooExcited #NewLife #NewAdditionToTheFamily"

Hmmm...what do you think? Is it over...OR will they be back together in a few weeks?

Drizzy slid through a 90-minute set and had the crowd on 100.  And it seemed to make him think about bringing his hometown Toronto-based OVO Fest to the City.  He told the crowd in between songs:

The Magic Mike XXL star changed into a bright red long-sleeved blouse, which she paired with some funky printed black & white shorts and black pumps. Hot.

While on the promo trail, Jada stopped by The Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM to chop it up about a number of things. In the interview, she explained her “open relationship” with her husband Will Smith, but she also talked about her very intense and passionate friendship/relationship with slain rapper Tupac.

It’s been 20 years since the passing of the legendary west coast rapper, but Jada still gets choked up talking about him. During her chat, she revealed there were a lot of strong feelings and emotions felt between the two, but there was absolutely NO sexual chemistry. She spilled,

"You know, it's so funny. Now being older, I have more of an understanding of what that was between us. When you have two young people that have very strong feelings, but there is no physical chemistry between us at all. And it wasn't even just for me! It was him too. There was a time when I was like, 'Just kiss me! Let's just see how this goes.' And when I tell you it had to be the most disgusting kiss for us both.
 

She said she felt it probably just wasn’t meant to be…and that may have been a good thing. She explained,

“The only way I can put it is that the higher power didn’t want that. If Pac and I had any kind of sexual chemistry, we might have killed each other because we were both so passionate. And you know, we loved deeply. It was hard enough with us just being friends. We had a very volatile relationship.”

She then talked about how their relationship took a turn after she went off to L.A. to pursue her career and Pac went to jail.

“There was a lot of things that transpired once he went to jail. It was really once he came out that he changed quite a bit. Jail was a very difficult experience for him, and of course, we were on two sides of the spectrum. Pac and I have always had very intense conversations [laughs]. If we disagree with each other, we disagree hardcore.”

Pac and Jada had stopped talking for a couple of years after a heated disagreement (which she said was common during their friendship) and he was murdered before she could make amends.

"I don't think I was guilty as much as I felt just sadness, for not having the opportunity to tell him that I loved him. But, I know he knew that. It wasn't the first time that we had had a bad argument and stopped speaking. That was a constant in our relationship. It definitely taught me a lesson, which is life is too short. Do not let disagreements stand in between you and people that you love and care about."

She ended, with tears in her eyes, “You know, I love him.”

After lunch with friends at The Ivy, #RichKidsOfBeverlyHills star EJ Johnson continued his birthday celebration over a lavish dinner with the parentals and his sister.

It was a total family affair as NBA Hall of Famer Magic Johnson, his wife Cookie Johnson and EJ's sister Elisa came out to celebrate EJ’s 23rd birthday at Mastro's steakhouse in Beverly Hills last night. EJ also brought a friend to the festivities. Fun times.

Pulling out all the stops and fighting through the flu (she told the media she didn't even train yesterday because of her illness), Serena Williams slammed her way to her 3rd French open title this afternoon in Paris!  This win also makes for Serena's 20th career Grand Slam title. Yasss!

The champ will be adding her latest trophy to her six U.S. Open trophies, six Australian Open trophies, and her five trophies from Wimbledon.

Serena, 33, beat out opponent Lucie Safarova in a 6-3, 6-7 (2), 6-2 win.  Speaking in French (yep, she's multilingual on top of everything else), Serena told the crowd after her win:

"When I was a little girl, in California, my father and my mother wanted me to play tennis. And now I'm here, with 20 Grand Slam titles. This is very special for me. I haven't always played very well here, but I'm really happy to win the 20th here."

MC serenaded the audience with a melody of her hits including “Vision of Love,” her newest single “Infinity,” “Always Be My Baby.” She started off struggling a bit with “Vision of Love,” hitting a few flat notes, but made up for it with her performance of “Infinity.” But then, things sort of went a little flat again at the ending of “Always Be My Baby.”

The film was shot on location in Los Angeles and executive produced by Monica Floyd of Tru Vision Media ("Mama I Want to Sing", "Da Sweet Blood of Jesus").  

Here's the synopsis:

"For soon to be bride Selena, nothing about her wedding day weekend is going as expected. As she prepares to get married on Christmas Eve, a group of her closest, yet zany, college buddies descend upon her mother Melanie's luxurious home for her upcoming rehearsal dinner. Selena must now play the role of friend, referee, and even psychiatrist. Added to this tumultuous mix is her fiance, Darnell's parents. ...Most particularly his mother, Coral, who thinks Darnell could have done better than Selena. As Selena tries to make the best of things, juggling all of the "off the chain" people in her crazy life, she seeks counsel from a mysterious blast from her past, Dillon. He is supportive, caring, loving and devastatingly handsome. He seems to be just what Selena needs, but all is not what it appears to be."

Letoya's groom is played by Keeland Ellis ("The Temptress", "Sex Sent Me to the ER").

Actress Parker McKenna Posey plays on of Letoya's confidants.

Director Greg Carter was photographed giving Letoya a few pointers during one of their breaks.

Lucky Girl also stars Malik Yoba in one of his first post-"Empire" gigs.

"BBW LA" star Jackie Christie, shown with Malik, is also an "Executive Producer" on the project.
 

Ella Joyce ("Roc", Tyler Perry's Tempation) stars in the film as Letoya's mother while Jalene Mack plays Keeland's mom.

Upcoming “Shades of Blue” star Jennifer Lopez is no stranger to shutting down a red carpet. And last night, was no different. Escorted in by her publicist Ken Sunshine, the Hollywood actress made her way to the red carpet for the 2015 Tony Awards held at Radio City Music Hall in NYC last night.

The 45-year-old stunna looked amazing in a strapless midnight blue Maison Valentino gown accented with gold shooting star embellishments. Unlike her super sexy sheer Versace gown at the Met Gala, JLo was more covered up bringing a more elegant look for last night’s event.

The fab mother-of-two is currently filming for an upcoming NBC series titled “Shades of Blue,” where she will play a single mother who becomes an undercover federal informant on an anti-corruption task force unit. It’s set to premiere early 2016.

American Ballet Theater ballerina Misty Copeland was on “pointe” (yet again) in a white geometric Herve Leger “Evangeline” gown. The TIME magazine cover girl, landing as the leader in the Pioneer category, sure knows a thing or two on how to work a red carpet.

Supermodel Joan Smalls turned heads on the carpet in a bold printed long-sleeve Givenchy gown accented with a high slit. Werk!

Hot 97’s 2015 Summer Jam concert went down at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium on Sunday night (riots and all) and we have pics and videos of the blockbuster performances from Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Meek Mill, Teyana Taylor, Fabolous, Big Sean and many more. Hot 97's annual Summer Jam was jammed packed with performances from some of Hip Hop and R&B’s biggest names. Unfortunately, the mega concert ended with New Jersey State Police swarming Met Life Stadium in riot gear and spraying tear gas at concertgoers after a massive riot broke out. We’ll get to that in a minute…but first, let’s give the run-down on the performances:

This year’s Summer Jam came with a slew of surprise performances from some of your fave old and new entertainers. Kicking off this year's concert, Teyana Taylor flexed her vocals and dance skills on the festival stage located just outside of MetLife Stadium.

The “Maybe” singer took it back to the 90s bringing out platinum selling R&B girl group Total (Kima & Pam) during her set. The ladies joined forces on Total’s throwback classic hit, “Can’t You See.”

New Jersey Native Fetty Wap (picked to be apart of XXL’s 2015 Freshman Class) rocked the stage with his radio hit “Trap Queen” on the festival stage.

Detroit native Dej Loaf, also joining the 2015 XXL Freshman Class, had everyone singing along to her 2014 hit, “Try Me.” We hear she's suppose to be dropping a new EP this month. 

Other performers on the festival stage included, B.o.B., Travis Scott, Joey BadA$$, Travis Scott, Charles Hamilton and Chedda Da Connect.

On the stadium stage....

MMG singer Omarion hit the stage to perform his radio hit, “Post To Be”, sans Jhene Aiko, and a few of his new cuts.

Ty Dolla $ign hit the stage next, singing the hook on Jeremih’s “Don’t Tell ‘Em.” Then he brought out Taylor Gang honcho Wiz Khalifa to perform "We Dem Boyz." And of course, “Mary Jane” made a cameo.

Next up on the stage…R&B crooner Trey Songz.

Trigga got the ladies all hot and bothered as he serenaded the crowd with his sultry hits, including "Na Na,” "Foreign," "Say Aah," "Slow Motion" and "Bottoms Up."

Then, he stripped off his shirt to show off his physique, which sent the ladies in a frenzy.

Fellow VA native Chris Brown took the stage to wow the audience with his electrifying dance moves and high-energy performance, following all the drama he caused in L.A. over ex-girlfriend Karrueche a few days ago. Sip that tea HERE.

During his set, he performed some of his infectious hits, such as "New Flame," "Loyal" and "Poppin." Breezy thanked everyone for being there through all of his trials and tribulations then launched his performance of "Ayo."

After his set, Breezy brought out “Power” star/executive producer 50 Cent:

Following an epic G-Unit reunion at Summer Jam 2014, Fif was joined by Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo on stage.

Soon after, "Coke Boy" rapper French Montana hit the stage where he paused for a tribute in honor of his friend/rapper Chinx Drugz who was murdered recently.

As one of the highlights of the evening, Fab brought out a slew of surprise guests during his set, including Lil Kim, Fat Joe & Remy Ma, Busta Rhymes, Redman & Method Man, Raekwon, The Lox, Mobb Deep and Mase:

Conscious rapper Kendrick Lamar dropped some bars from his tracks "Blacker The Berry" and “Swimming Pools.”

Detroit native (and newly single) Big Sean, dressed in all white, rocked the stage with his performance of “IDFWU,” followed by tracks “Blessings,” “Paradise," "All Your Fault," and "Play No Games."

Closing the concert….

MMG rapper stormed the stage with his high energy track “I'm A Boss” that had the crowd amped and standing on their feet. Soon after, the Philly native had Future join him on stage.

Ciara’s ex-fiancé performed a few of his hits, including "Commas," "Real Sisters" and "Trap N*ggas." The two also took a moment to remember Chinx.

A highlight during the concert...

Meek surprised concertgoers bringing out his girlfriend Nicki Minaj, days after she surprised fans bringing out Meek for her X Games performance.

After the Young Money raptress finished spitting a few bars from her track “Truffle Butter,” she went into a woman empowerment rant, encouraging her fans to stay in school and for the ladies to get their own money.

As she was exiting the stage, Nicki and Meek exchanged “I Love Yous.” Check it below:

Now...on to the riot...

While Kendrick Lamar was on stage, ish went totally left outside of MetLife Stadium. The New Jersey State Police showed up in riot gear to disperse a crowd of people who were trying to force their way inside of the sold out concert.

According to reports, people began climbing over fences to get inside and that’s when chaos erupted. A riot ensued where bottles were thrown, multiple fights broke out and authorities had to deploy tear gas to try and gain control.

Some concertgoers told NBC 4 New York that there were many people who legally bought tickets (setting them back hundreds of dollars) and were turned away at the gate. We hear, radio station owner Emmis New York plans on refunding those who didn’t get in.

Reportedly, 61 arrests were made and eventually the police were able to gain control. Yikes!

Hot 97 issued this statement:

"When fans realized tickets were not available at the box office, a small number of people created an unsafe environment, and for the safety of all guests, the New Jersey State Police were on scene to disperse the crowd. The gates were closed at that time. No further entry was permitted into the event.”

Beyonce appeared on GMA this morning where she opened up about her struggles with weight and discussed her solution...The 22-Day Revolution. Watch the interview inside (and see her latest pics).  Plus, we've got "OITNB" star Uzo Aduba in her first fashion spread ever! 

This morning, the Beyhive climbed out of bed and tuned into GMA for Beyonce's BIG announcment.  Would it be a new tour? Album? Movie?  Well....she did make an announcement (but it wasn't new news). In a pre-taped interview, the Queen Bey opened up about her lifelong struggles with weight (which we've heard before). She said,

“I’m not naturally the thinnest, I have curves, I’m proud of my curves, and I have struggled from a young age with diets and finding something that actually works, that keeps the weight off, has been difficult for me.”

The segment went on to "reveal" that she lost the weight by adopting a plant-based diet, dubbed The 22-Day Revolution (but...we ALREADY knew that too!).

You'll recall that we've previously covered her making the switch AND launching a vegan home delivery service with trainer Marco Borges, who introduced the Bey and Jay to the plan.

Tomorrow, Bey will appear on GMA again, but for a different cause.  She'll talk about her "BEY GOOD" initiative to help the children of Haiti. She's launched a campaign to raise money for the Saint Damien Pediatric Hospital in Tabarre.

A grand jury has indicted former police officer Michael Slager on a murder charge in the death of Walter Scott. Also, the 15-year-old Black teen tackled during a police encounter in McKinney, Texas is speaking out. More on both stories inside...

In South Carolina...

Michael Slager , a former North Charleston police officer has been indicted for murder in the fatal shooting of Walter Scott, an unarmed black man who was running away from him following a traffic stop.

Prosecutor Scarlett Wilson announced the indictment today, saying,"The jury will make up its own mind after it sees the video and hears the other testimony,"

Walter Scott's brother Rodney Scott said the family is "very happy and pleased" with the indictment.

Chris Stewart, a lawyer for Walter Scott's family, spoke at a news conference today, following the announcement of the indictment, revealing that the family plans to file a wrongful death suit against North Charleston and its police force.

"Today was just an example of if you keep the faith, even in the darkest times, you will see the light. We are going to patiently wait for the criminal trial in this case and we are going to patiently wait to see if the city, the police department and the chief are going to take responsibility in the civil suit."

Meanwhile, Michael Slager's attorney, Andy Savage, told CNN that his defense team has not yet been given prosecutors' investigative materials and would not comment on "any aspect" of the case until they have that information.

In Texas...

By now, we're sure you've seen the viral video shot in McKinney Texas on Friday, showing officers responding to a disturbance at a pool party. Since the video began racking up millions of views on YouTube and headline clips around the country, a few developments have come out of the situation.

First, the police officer see wrestling a a bikini-clad 15-year-old girl to the ground and even aggressively confronting other teens with a gun, has been placed on administrative leave. He has been identified as Eric Casebolt as was interviewed today by an internal police investigator.

Here's the backstory:

According to NBC News, police officers were first called to the scene about (8:15 p.m. ET) to respond to a disturbance at the Craig Ranch Community North Pool in the Dallas area. Several more calls came in reporting that the teens were"actively fighting,"

McKinney Police Chief Greg Conley told reporters his officers "encountered a large crowd that refused to comply with police commands." Eventually, 12 officers show up to control the situation.

Brandon Brooks (who shot the video), told NBC the fight was over by the time cops arrives but they started chasing people and throwing them on the ground.

"When I started the video was right after all the kids who got put on the ground had gotten up and ran away. The cop was chasing after all those kids just putting every black person he saw on the ground."

On the video below, you'll see the the teen shown on the video with the officer shares her side of the story. SIDEBAR: She says she was an invited guest at the pool party, and not involved in the fight which police officers responded to.

"He grabbed me and he twisted my arm on the back of my back and he shoved me in the grass. He started pulling the back of my braids. And I was telling him he could get off me because my back was hurting really bad."

Today, the police chief held a press conference where he told reporters

"Virtually, we're talking to everyone we've come in contact with, everyone who was out there or involved in this incident. Ultimately, everyone was freed. Other than the person who was arrested, everyone was released to a parent or guardian or to a responsible adult. Any time you confront a large group of people, it's a very dynamic situation and tensions can rise very quickly,"

The rumors are true! Drake has teamed up with Apple for their new music streaming service after allegedly backing out of a deal with Jay Z’s TIDAL service. And he’s releasing his next album exclusively on the new service. Get the deets and find out just how serious NBA free agent Baron Davis is with his new jheri curl ‘do inside….

Remember when we told you Drake allegedly backed out of his supposed deal with Jay Z's TIDAL music streaming service at the last minute, reportedly to join forces with Apple? Well, the rumors are true.

Today, Drizzy took the stage at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco to pitch the technology giant’s new Apple Music streaming service, specifically the social media component called Connect. During his speech, he said,"Instead of having to post your stuff on these different and sometimes confusing places, it's all in one place: Connect."

And guess what? The Young Money rapper announced he will be releasing his next album exclusively through the new service.

Apple Music will allow users to stream music, download music and play radio stations all in one place. It will combine the existing iTunes store with access to new features.

Connect will allow artists to create their own profiles with content curated exclusively by them. Fans will be allowed to interact with artists via their profiles, which will allow the artists to build a new fanbase via the service. Artists already on board include Pharrell Williams, Chris Cornell and many more.

There’s also a radio station overhaul that will be featured on the platform called Beats 1, which will broadcast from New York, London, and L.A., 24 hours a day worldwide. Hot 97’s Ebro Darden will hold down the NYC station.

Unlike Hov’s TIDAL service (which costs $19.99/month), Apple Music will cost $9.99 per and users will get the first three months for free. Apple devices will be able to download the new service once it’s launched on June 30th. Android and Windows devices will be able to download the new platform this fall.

'Ye turned 38 yesterday.  And his "obsession" for basketball was taken into full consideration when his wife Kim Kardashian planned his surprise party.

Kim rented out the home of the Lakers, the Sparks & the Clippers yesterday for Kanye and a bevy of friends to be professional ballers for a day who could play a fun game of hoops.  Yep, for a reported $110,000, Kim and the Staples Center had the Laker girls, referees, a few pro ballers, announcer John Salley, and a National Anthem & Happy Birthday singer by the name of John Legend.
