Bobby Brown's siblings are speaking out about Bobbi Kristina's condition and they've got good news.  More inside...

 photo shayne-and-tina-brown1.jpg

In two new television interviews, the siblings of Bobby Brown opened up about Bobbi Kristina's health crisis, offering hope to fans and friends who've been praying for her, "She's getting better."

Tina and Shayne Brown— sister and nephew to Bobby Brown — told Entertainment Tonight,"She's progressing. She's getting better. We just ask for people to continue to pray."

Tina and Shayne, who were involved in a nasty family fight that made national headlines, have returned home."I’ve been home for a couple of days to let everything just die down," Tina says."Bobby wanted to spend time with her by himself."  SMH.....sounds like they were SENT home.  #noshade

"That situation was blown out of proportion," Shayne continues. "You see we're here right now. You know what I'm saying? I love her. She loves me. This is my mother. At the end of the day, family goes through things but -- just the family that we come from, it just happens to be publicized to the world."

When asked if they expect BK to make a full recovery, Tina says, "I do. Yes." And Shayne added,"Krissy will be good. Everything will be alright."

On Fox 5 Atlanta, Leolah Brown, Bobby's other sister, said that Bobbi Kristina is‘moving her eyes' and doctors told the family‘she is improving'. And much like a good auntie, Leolah told Fox 5 that she saw trouble coming for Bobbi Kris and warned her about who she chose to surround herself with.

[UPDATE] ABC News reports that police have now classified Bobbi Kristina's bathtub incident as a criminal investigation.  A neighbor has stated they saw two people physically fighting outside of the home.

"Blackish" star Tracee Ellis Ross hit Seth Meyer's show last night in a fabulous lime green Escada jumper, and it's making our hearts palpitate.

When she sat down to chat it up with Seth, she dished on when Kanye West was previously her neighbor, and he let everyone know it in a song.  And how he immortalized her ASSets in his songs, and she also appeared in a few of his videos.

Check out the chat below:

Tracee also revealed her dad has recently decided that he’s going to get to the bottom of everything Biggie-related.

Ha.

Speaking of Tracee's fabulousness, her alternate ESSENCE magazine March 2015 cover has been revealed:

Kanye West ANNOUNCES He's Hitting The Studio With Taylor Swift, Addresses Beck Drama At The 2015 Grammys

 photo KimKardashianKanyeWestStepOutNewYork5PvtzpIo_R-l.jpg

Kanye West just announced he will be hitting the studio with America’s Sweetheart Taylor Swift, following their reconciliation at the 2015 Grammy Awards. Also, he’s opening up about why he got out of his seat once Beck was announced the winner of the Album of the Year Award and why he went on one of his infamous rants after the ceremony. Get it all inside….

The 2015 Grammy Awards came with a few surprises thanks to Kanye West (above, leaving his NYC apartment today). And now, he’s opening up about why he was full of rant-filled antics during the most prestigious night in the music industry.

 photo kta.jpg

We all remember his infamous stunt at the 2009 MTV Music Awards as Taylor Swift took the stage to accept the Best Female Video award. He hopped on stage to interrupt Taylor to praise Beyonce as the real winner of the award. Since then, that moment has been a highlight in entertainment history.

But, Taylor hasn’t harbored any ill-feelings towards Yeezy as they smiled and snapped it up during the 57th Annual Grammy Awards this past Sunday. And now, Ye says he will soon be joining the “Shake It Off” singer in the studio to collaborate on some new music. He announced to Ryan Seacrest during a phone interview this morning saying,

Yeah, she wants to get in the studio and we’re definitely going to go in. Any artist with an amazing point of view, perspective, fan base, I’m down to get in the studio and work. I don’t discriminate, I don’t have an elitism of music because of like how many Grammys or you know, the amount of ratings you get on an album. I that think everyone loves music whether they love hip-hop, alternative, country, and if I could be involved in giving people any type of energy, advice in the studio, whether you’re Beyonce, whether you’re Taylor Swift, whether you’re Jay Z, whether you’re Beck, whoever, and they can be reciprocal with that, I’d like to be involved with that.

'Ye then went on to talk about what made him get out of his seat as Beck accepted the Album of the Year award Sunday.  He addressed people who believe he did that to Beck because he is white and also talked about his post-Grammy rant blasting the members of the Recording Academy and more.

Below are the highlights:

Why did you decide to get out of your seat and come up when Beck won album of the year?
You know, I felt like just the whole Grammys, right when that happened, everybody was looking at me and then people started screaming, “Kanye! Kanye! Go do it!” Ok, that didn’t really happen, these were voices in my head. So the voices in my head told me go and then I just walked up like halfway up the stage. You know, what I really wanted to do is just joke around about what had happened before, but I just really didn’t want to take away from Beck’s moment or the time he’s having to talk because you know the Grammys, they play music really quick no matter who you are and everything. So I didn’t want anything to take away from his screen time. So I just walked back down because you know, it was kind of a joke like the Grammys themselves.

Some say it was disrespectful to Beck. What would you say if you could say anything to him?
Well first of all, Beck is one of the nicest guys and one of the most respected musicians in the game. So, there’s nothing that I will want to do as a fellow musician to disrespect him in any way. And the weird thing is like, and I don’t feel like I have the right to take away from people’s moments, but the reality of it is — and case in point by who came up to me right afterwards — is it’s almost like a chiropractor. You know, you just get a little crook out like, “Wow, this crook has been there!” It’s just a little jolt of truth, right? And then you know, everyone feels better after the fact, or everyone is way more famous after the fact, or everyone sells way more albums after the fact, and then Kanye just goes on being an a**hole to everyone.

Do you think there’s an issue with perception versus intention?
Oh yes, definitely, but the road to hell has been paved with good intentions. You know, I’m at a point where it’s ways to do things in a smoother way. And feel like at the Grammys — I don’t know exactly what the press has been [saying] because I don’t keep up with that — but at the Grammys when I did go up onstage and left off, there was a really good vibe about it, and everybody was laughing and smiling.

On his serious post-Grammys rant with E!:
Well you know what happened? It’s because I sat there and I kind of let that [smolder] and I was asked my opinion and I was given a platform. And when given a platform, it’s very hard as we know — and I’m going to talk in third person like I’m a crazy person — but it’s very hard for Kanye West to not be very true and vocal to what he feels. You know, it’s like people take the Grammys for granted in a way because of the commercials, because a lot of the musicians are very rich and everything, but this is our Super Bowl. You know, and someone’s got to be mad that [Marshawn Lynch] didn’t get the ball.

On the critics who say his stunt stemmed from racism:
I also wanted to stress to people that it’s not a black or white thing at all. It’s not me always standing up for a black artist. I feel that racism is a distraction to humanity. We are one race. We are the human race, period. And I feel that we have to base our new society, the future post-Internet society, off of blocks and bricks of truth. And if the Grammys are capitalizing off the amount of views that Beyoncé gets for them and still not laying that brick of truth and being respectful towards [deserving artists] — because Beck says afterwards, literally, says, “Hey I think Beyoncé should’ve won it.”

On his comment about Beck disrespecting artistry:
And when I said that thing about respect artistry, I think it came off the wrong way, and that was a mis-wording on my part because obviously Beck is one the most respected artists and respects artistry. But I felt — and this is my opinion and he’s his own man and he’s not wrong and we’ll still go play basketball and stuff [unless] he doesn’t want to do it — but I felt that even though the Grammys some times gives awards to people who you wouldn’t think should win in the category, as a respect to artists, we mention the other artist’s name in our speech. And that was the point I was making about it. There’s like many of times I gave other people my award, literally made them come up onstage. Maroon 5, when they won best new artist, [Adam Levine] mentioned me because it was the College Dropout and [it had] 10 nominations and all that.

Do you believe Beyoncé didn’t win because she’s so commercial, popular, and successful?
I believe she didn’t move and run to the stage because she’s a respectful individual. But because she is so successful, a lot of times, success disables your ability to communicate exactly what the f**k you want to say!

Sighs.  Kanye wasn't nominated or performing, but he made sure to be on everyone's lips the next day.

Check out his full interview below:

Speaking of the latest "KANYEGATE" controversy....

 photo jleg.jpg

John Legend got caught up in the firestorm of controversy after Kanye's wife Kim posted an us-ie of herself, the "Glory" singer and his wife Chrissy Teigen with the caption, "This is the Beck won that award face?!?!?!"

John took to his Twitter to clear up any confusion that lead people to believe he felt the same sentiments as Kim. He tweeted:

When a person isn't part of an industry but they feel entitled to chime in and wrecklessly affect ruin the image of another who actually WORKS for a living...in said industry...

Later, the "All of Me" singer took to his Instagram to explain why he said the antics Kanye peformed during the Grammys were funny. It appears his words were taken out of context. Basically, he felt 'Ye going up on stage during Beck's acceptance speech was funny because it was a way of poking fun at his own self after his 2009 stint with Taylor. BUT, he made it clear he did not approve of Ye's rant on the E! AFTER the show. He said Beck is an incredible artist and deserved the win.

He eloquently wrote:

I want to clarify my thoughts on Kanye's actions at the Grammys on Sunday. First of all, Kanye is my friend. He believed in me years ago when very few did, and I wouldn't be here without his support. That doesn't mean we'll agree on everything, but it does mean that I am grateful to him. And I also believe he is one of the most gifted people I've had the privilege of working with.

In my comments to US Weekly, I said that when Kanye walked up on stage, mimicking his interruption of Taylor Swift's VMA acceptance speech, then turned around as if he was just playing, most of the room including me saw this as funny, as a way of taking the piss out of himself for his infamous behavior several years ago.

When I said that was funny and people should lighten up about it, that's what I meant. I wasn't referring to Kanye's comments after the show which I have now seen and heard. I disagree with those comments. Beck is indeed a true artist's artist. He's a multi-instrumentalist, a creative and unique singer-songwriter whose music I have bought and enjoyed over the years. While his win may have been a surprise to many, it's not because he's not a great artist deserving of recognition. All of the other nominated artists, including Beyonce, are incredible in their own right, and arguments could be made for any of them deserving to win. This is not an objective process. It's completely subjective, in fact. We can all debate who we thought should have won. But even if you didn't vote for him, plenty of our colleagues in the music business did. These voters are all creators who love music and have dedicated their lives to it, and the plurality of them chose Beck as the Album of the Year. I respect their decision and congratulate Beck on this outstanding accomplishment.

Well said.

Well, this isn't good.   Maia Campbell has reportedly been arrested twice in the last few weeks.  And at least one of her arrests allegedly involved drunken behavior.  Details inside...

News reports surfaced today that revealed former "In The House" star Maia Campbell (mugshot above), who has battled addiction and mental illness for several years, has been arrested for the second time in 2015.

The actress was recently on the road to recovery and seemed to be doing better.  But according to the latest police reports, she's taken a turn.  TMZ reports:

"...[Maia Campbell] just got busted at a restaurant for the 2nd time this year ... most recently for causing a drunken scene at a Waffle House.

Cops in Riverdale, GA tell us they got called to the restaurant last weekend when the former "In the House" star was allegedly wasted and causing a scene. Officers gave her a chance to leave on her own, but she refused -- and then left in handcuffs ... and got booked for disorderly conduct.

The 38-year-old also ended up in an Atlanta cop car last month -- when she went off in a Burger King. According to the police report obtained by TMZ ... she cussed out a family, accused their child of stealing her wallet, and called the arresting officer a "fu**ing fa**ot!"

 photo ScreenShot2015-02-11at120012PM_zpsb8d9ca2b.png

Interestingly, Maia was busy live tweeting the Grammys this past Sunday, so we take it she's already back home.

We reached out to Maia's rep who said a statement will be issued later this evening.

Taraji P. Henson Tells UPTOWN About EMPIRE Haters & Being Jealous Of Amy Adams + LeBron James Does "Hollywood Reporter", Explains "The Cop Talk" With His Sons

 photo upt2.jpg

"Empire" star Taraji P. Henson opens up to UPTOWN about making her mark in Hollywood and building her own empire--after she checked her ego about being jealous of other actresses.  Meanwhile, LeBron James covers The Hollywood Reporter and talks about extending his brand (and success) into a slew of Hollywood projects, plus that "cop talk" he had to have with his sons.  More inside...

 photo upt1.jpg

YBF starlet Taraji P. Henson covers the Feb/Mar issue of UPTOWN where she stars in an super sexy pictorial (captured at her Hollywood home) and shot by Gomillion & Leupold.

In the mag's accompanying article "The Empire Taraji P. Henson Built," Taraji, in her surprisingly candid way, talks about race and diversity in Hollywood, a visible shift in television opportunities for Black actors and her hit show "Empire".  And the show's critics.

Check the highlights and more fabulous pics...

On "Empire" Exposing "Black" Issues:"That’s what art is supposed to do: expose this shit. You know, we’re dealing with subject matter that’s not really dealt with...so let’s lift the carpet up and deal with this dirt. It’s not like we bashed Barack Obama and the show went off. No, Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) jumped in his [son’s] ass. That’s real life stuff. So I’m glad you’re mad."

On Being Cookie Lyons:"Cookie is a lot. She wears me out but I know this woman. I’ve done my research inside and out. I took Cookie from Lee and made her my own."

On Black Actors Making Moves On The Small Screen: "It feels good that there’s not just one black person. I don’t like that we get fixated on one or two at a time, or three at a time. If you look at Caucasian Hollywood, every year there’s a handful of new faces you’ve never seen before, then after that, they got five movies coming out and they’re introducing you to more talent. So I’m just so happy to see what’s happening on television right now. We have options and that’s how it should be."

On Jealously and Putting Her Ego in Check:"I used to have this crazy thing with Amy Adams...You see her [consistently] getting nominated, as she should, because Amy does good work. But, it’s like, ‘Well, I did good work too.’ But if you choose to stay in that place then you become miserable. It’s a pity party and nobody cares. I’m human, so I’ve done it. But I check that because it’s ego and it’s the devil."

In a cleverly titled article, "The Next Decision" LeBron James sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to discuss his next decisions and they don't involve basketballs (unless you count his tv show "Survivor's Remorse").

With his Spring Hill Productions (named for the housing complex he and his mom moved into when he was in sixth grade) he's quietly developed a growing portfolio of TV and digital projects which he OWNS and exercising creative control. They include the Disney series "Becoming"; the Starz scripted dramedy "Survivor's Remorse"; the reality show "Uninterrupted" for Turner's digital platform Bleacher Report; a trivia game-show pilot for NBC and a series show on CNBC. There's even talk of a "bucket list" for Esquire.  Clearly....King James won't end up on some ESPN show as a broke athlete....unless he's the executive producer. #catchit

LeBron explained that a large part of Spring Hill Productions is about creating jobs and opportunities for deserving artists. "For me to be able to create jobs and opportunities for people...that means a lot to me."   Read the full article here and check out some highlights:

On retirement: I look at some of my peers, Tim Duncan and Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett, guys I've looked up to my whole career, and they're almost done with their careers. So you think about it for sure. You know at some point that will be you."

On the shooting of 12-year-old Tamir Rice by Cleveland cops: I have those conversations with my boys," he says. "They have tons of play guns. None of them look real. We have Nerf guns that are lime green and purple and yellow," he says. "But I don't even let them take them out of the house.

On what he tells his boys about the cops (with Savannah James):"And the talk is, 'You be respectful, you do what's asked and you let them do their job, and we'll take care of the rest after. You don't have to boast and brag and automatically think it's us against the police.' I've had one or two encounters with the police in my life that were nothing. But sometimes you just got to shut up. It's that simple. Just be quiet and let them do their job and go on about your life and hopefully things go well." "For everybody," (adds Savannah).

Terrence Howard is about to become a dad for the fourth time and he's dishing on when the baby will be making its arrival. Also, the actor became a granddad for the second time, welcoming his new grandson last week. Get the latest inside….

“EMPIRE” star Terrence Howard stopped by “Live With Kelly & Michael” this morning where he dished on all the new, exciting baby news in his personal life.  He just welcomed a grandson AND he's preparing to welcome a new baby boy of his own!

While chatting it up with Kelly Ripa& Michael Strahan, the 45-year-old actor revealed he became a granddad for the second time last week after his eldest daughter Aubrey gave birth to her son named Adrian, joining his  two-year-old granddaughter Hazel Gayle.

A photo posted by TheYBF.com (@theybfdaily) on

Not only that, he and his wife Miranda Howard are expecting (which was announced during a NYE party earlier this year) the star's fourth child and he confirmed he’s having a boy that will be due in May!

He spilled,

“My oldest daughter gave me a granddaughter two years ago and now I’ve got a grandson, Adrian, a week ago. It’s something else to become apart of something bigger than yourself. And then my wife, we’re due in May and I’m having another boy”.

Congrats!

Terrence then went on to talk about the scene on "Empire" where he puts his 5-year-old son in a trash can after he caught him wearing his mother's heels. He said it was difficult to shoot, but once he got it right, the director (Lee Daniels) was brought to tears seeing what had happened to him as a child play out in front of him.

He also talked about how his weight almost caused him to get let go from the show. The Hustle & Flow actor said he started on "Empire" weighing 250lbs (he gained weight for another FOX series) and had a problem getting rid of the weight. To help him trim the fat, he said at the end of every scene the crew would join him to do push-ups until failure. He then challenged Michael & Kelly to a push-ups challenge. Ha!

Azealia Banks POSING NUDE For PLAYBOY, CLARIFIES Her Use Of The "F" Word And Why She Hates The MISOGYNIST Gay White Mafia

 photo azealia-banks-playboy.jpg

Azealia Banks has always bared her emotions...now the world will get to see the ta-tas too!  The "Twitter" happy starlet is taking it off for Playboy's April issue and she's got a message for the gay white mafia too.  Check out Azealia's "naked" emotions inside...

Harlem native Azealia Banks is known for her raw emotion.  Whether she laying her soul bare on autobiographical tracks like "1991" or "Chasing Time", or getting at fellow rapper on Twitter - you kinda know where she stands and how she feels.  Now...she's planning to parlay that rawness into a project that PLAYBOY Magazine calls a “frisky pictorial that’s sure to break the Internet.”

 photo azealianddd.png

On Twitter, Azealia announced that she's copped a coveted Playboy cover and sat down for one of the magazine's well-respected interviews. The shoot was captured by Ellen Von Unwerth and the April 2015 issue will hit stands on March 20th (for their April issue).

Back to Azealia's naked emotions...

We've covered Azealia's controversial usage of the word "f*ggot" as well as her thoughts on feminism and misogyny.  Now, a new interview with QutQ's Xorje Olivares on Sirius XM further clarifies her statements and also introduces the notion that there's a gay white mafia attempting to co-op her narrative. Let her explain....

On the word "f*ggot"

"When I use the word 'f*ggot,' it comes from a feminist point of view. The word 'f*ggot' came to me from my mother. And it was never a thing about a guy being gay. It was always just a man who hates women. You can be gay or straight. You can be a straight f*ggot… F*ggots are men who want to bring women down, fuck with their heads, control them."

On the gay white mafia:

"I definitely think a lot of the time with the 'white gay media' – especially with female artists – in order for you to seem successful or seem feminine you have to desire their approval. I feel like a lot of times gay men can be way more misogynistic than even straight men. Even how they come to you picking at your hair, telling you you're fat, telling you all this other shit. Telling you how to be a woman. What the fuck do you know about being a woman? You called me a bitch, I'll call you a f*ggot," she later added. "What's the difference?"

On why it is NOT fair to call her a homophobe:

"To be homophobic would imply that I'm, like, 'I can't sit next to a gay man cuz Imma catch the gay, but I already caught the gay. I feel like when I use the word 'f*ggot,' it comes from, like, a feminist point of view, not a homophobic point of view. It's really just kinda like you feel attacked as a woman."

In addition to Playboy, Azealia will perform at Club Nokia in L.A. on April 16 and play both weekends of Coachella.  Get ready....

YBF stars CAN take the international film markets....despite what those stereotypical naysayers claim.  Check out the Award-winning Selma stars and Kevin Hart taking over Berlinale Festival and Ireland with their films inside...

Remember when (former) Sony Pictures head Amy Pascal reiterated that tired stereotype that black actors "don't sell well overseas" in those hacked Sony emails?  She was speaking about the likes of Denzel Washington.

And remember when there was a huge uproar about the promotional images used overseas for 12 Years A Slave, and how only Brad Pitt and the non-lead white actors were used instead of the lead black actors Lupita Nyong'o and Chiwetel Ejiofor?

Well, Golden Globe nominated director Ava DuVernay is taking that stereotype to task.

This week, Ava and Selma stars David Oyelowo and Colman Domingo marched into the Berlin Film Festival, Berlinale, and received a standing ovation.  She posted on her Facebook page:

"Black films can't travel overseas." That same old tired lie was proven wrong yet again tonight. We enjoyed a gorgeous gala premiere of SELMA at the Berlin Film Festival, complete with sold-out crowd and standing ovations. Over a thousand moviegoers gathered in that German venue, all focused on the work of unapologetic black artists. I'm jus' sayin'. Onward! ‪#‎berlinale15‬

And also in Berlin showing his movie The Wedding Ringer:

Keyshia Cole is returning to the reality world with a brand new docu-series set to premiere on BET. Find out when it will debut and get the deets on Kanye's YEEZY Season 1 event inside…

R&B singer Keyshia Cole is returning to BET with a new docu-series. And based on the sneak peek, it looks like Keyshia’s mom Frankie, her sister Neffe and the rest of her family will be bringing the drama (and ratchetness) we’ve watched unfold on her previous shows.

The Point of No Return singer will star in her third unscripted series titled “Keyshia Cole: All In”, following her previous shows “Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is” and “Keyshia & Daniel: Family First”. Her new show will premiere Tuesday, February 24th at 9:30pm ET on BET, nabbing the time slot before “Being Mary Jane”.

Over eight 30-minute episodes, the show, which she executive produces, will follow her new life as a single mother, her unstable marriage to NBA player Daniel “Boobie” Gibson, life as an artist and her never-ending family struggles.

In the first sneak peek, we see Keyshia discussing her marital issues, banning her sister Neffe from coming to one of her concerts and her mother Frankie arguing with her sister Elite in the street ("MAN DOWN, CODE 10 situation"). We also see her struggle to make the decision on whether she should stay or leave Interscope Records, which she subliminally tweeted about a while back.

Check out the first sneak peek below:

Will you be tuning in Feb. 24th for another round of Keyshia Cole and her fam?

 photo kw1.jpg

Kanye West teased his fans today about a project he was working on. And now, the deets have been released.

Tomorrow, Kanye and Adidas Originals announced will launch their Yeezy Season 1 event at a theater in NYC at 4pm ET. In fact, the "event" will be streamed in 42 theaters around the globe with an accompanying performance by Italian artist Vanessa Beecroft.

Also, Kanye's new YEEZY BOOST sneakers (which he's wearing above) will be released Saturday, Feb. 14th in NYC, against the backdrop of Fashion Week and the NBA All-Star Game.

Yeezy will also be performing a free-concert during All-Star Weekend in the Flatiron section Manhattan tomorrow night, organized by Roc Nation. We hear OKC baller Kevin Durant is expected to make an appearance as well.

So about those YEEZY BOOST sneakers...will you be copping a pair for your Valentine?

Lupita Nyong’o Talks About Being Banned From Wearing Make-Up & Dealing With Fame In LUCKY Magazine March 2015 Issue

You’ve seen her stunning cover for Lucky magazine’s new spring issue. Now find out why Lupita Nyong'o was banned from wearing make-up and how she’s coping with her new found fame inside….

Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o is the cover girl for LUCKY magazine’s March 2015 issue. Her breathtaking cover was released last week, now her interview, which reveals a few things you may not have known about the award-winning actress, has surfaced.

In the cover story, the Kenyan beauty (above styling in a neon Novis dress, Christian Louboutin "Riri" pumps and an Ela clutch) talks about how, as a child, she was banned from wearing or using any cosmetics until she was nearly 18-year-old. She said,

“My mother has never ever worn a drop of makeup in her life—not even at her wedding,” she recalls. As a girl, Nyong’o’s only real exposure to the world of creams, sticks and shadows came via an aunt who would occasionally visit with the contraband materials and paint her face while her mother was out. “Honestly, my mother’s outlook was hard for me to take when I was a teenager and I wanted to experiment. But in the end I appreciated it, because today I can look in a mirror with no makeup on and love myself.”

But nowadays, the cover girl is the face of a few cosmetics brands, including Lancome. So what’s her “go-to” make-up item? She spilled,

“I always have a Lancôme Lip Lover, in one shade or another, in my purse. They just add a little something. I’ll choose the color depending on what I’m wearing and how much tint I want—this one is really, really light, but it dresses you up immediately.”

The fab YBF actress also talked about how she’s dealing with fame, social media and getting nervous before speaking engagements.

Below are the highlights:

On the frustration of being a high-profile celebrity:
“The not-so-fun part of all this is that when I don’t feel like being famous, I still am,” she admits. “When you’re in the middle of Manhattan and you have to pop into Starbucks to use the restroom and everyone recognizes you when you’re waiting on line, it’s awkward.” I ask if she’s come up with a way to cope: some clever disguise, a wig, a hoodie, a full-body Snuggie, maybe? She admits that she has. So, what is it? “I’ll never tell,” she says slyly, raising an eyebrow and putting a polite end to the discussion.

On accepting the fame:
“All of my life, my father was a high-profile person,” says Nyong’o, whose dad, Peter, a professor and political activist, is now a senator in the Kenyan parliament. If there is a slacker in the Nyong’o family, we can’t find one: Her mother, Dorothy, is on the board of the Africa Cancer Foundation; her cousin Isis is a technology executive who was voted one of the most powerful young women in Africa; and her cousin Tavia is a respected cultural critic. “Being brought up in the family that I was brought up in, we were always in a position of example. So it’s something I don’t wrestle with. I don’t question it. I accept it.”

On social media:
“I’m governed by things that made me smile, laugh and think,” she says. “And if they do that to me, then I ask myself, Would anybody else care to see this? If I can think of one person, I post it.”

On speaking engagements:
“It makes me very nervous. My heart is on my sleeve when I do those things, but the only way I know to do them is to speak from my heart. So it costs me a lot … and then I need to take a nap.”

Nice. Peep the rest of her gorgeous spring-ready spread and her designer deets below:

India Arie had a situation at the Grammys with Lady Gaga's bodyguard...and now she's calling him out for his behavior. Watch the clip inside and check out 50 Cent's Kanye West impression.

While walking down the red carpet, Grammy winner India Arie tried to say hello to her friend Lady Gaga...but the bodyguard didn't "see" it for her. In fact, he swatted her hand away in an aggressive manner.  During her Grammy wrap-up on Twitter, India tweeted...

 photo India1.png

The tweet (which DOES NOT disparage Lady Gaga) seemed to upset the millions of "Little Monsters" who follow Lady Gaga and they attacked the "Brown Skin" singer viciously.  After several negative tweets were sent her way, India took to Twitter to explain that she was upset by the energy of that moment and how it represents the Hollywood bubble.

 photo India23.png

Should the bodyguard have swatted India Arie or was he simply doing his job?

In other Grammy conflicts...

 photo 50CentWeinsteinCompanyNetflixGoldenGlobesO_hoH21mitjl.jpg

While promoting his new underwear line, Frigo Revolutionwear, 50 Cent talked to PEOPLE about the "Album Of The Year" Grammys where he sided with the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States (and not the voices in Kanye's head) and said Beck deserved the Grammy over Beyonce.

[Beck] produced [his] record, wrote the record — there’s eleven producers on Beyoncé’s album. Kanye being a producer and a writer should see that."

Then he made it personal and shared his own Grammy snub....

“I felt that I deserved the Best New Artist for my first album — it’s the largest debut in rap with 13 million records sold and when’s the last time you ever saw Evanescence? Crickets, crickets. It’s just the way it is,”

Kelis and her son Knight Jones are taking in the beautiful backdrops of Israel. And Knight also joined his mother on stage during a recent performance. Peep the mommy-son cuteness inside….

When she’s not cooking it up in the kitchen, Kelis is trekking it overseas to hit the stage to perform a few of her throwback hits, along with new tracks from her latest album FOOD.

The “Jerk Ribs” singer brought her 5-year-old son Knight Jones (who she shares with rapper Nas) along to Israel to explore all of what the country has to offer. During some downtime, the mommy-son duo spent some quality time with one another as they sat in Israel’s famous Dead Sea. She captioned the picture above,

What an amazing day. Talking to my little one sitting in the Dead Sea !

So adorbs.

After their day of exploration, Kelis (rocking gray tresses) hit the stage at Zappa in Herzliya to crank out a few of her hits, such as “Milkshake”. But during a break in her set, little Knight joined her on stage with his camera to snap a flick of the audience. Too cute.

Shaq & Michael Strahan's Hilarious Karaoke BATTLE + President Obama Is All About The Selfie Stick & That Y.O.L.O. Life In Funny Video

 photo ScreenShot2015-02-12at20243PM.png

We have a few laughs for today! Shaq and Michael Strahan went head-to-head in a karaoke smackdown on daytime tv this morning. And it's quite hilarious. Also, President Barack Obama brings the laughs in a new video where he uses a selfie stick and the phrase “Y.O.L.O.”…because he can.

Check it inside….

Former pro athletes Shaquille O'Neal and Michael Strahan brought plenty of laughs this morning as they took the stage for a karaoke smackdown on “Live With Kelly & Michael”.

The NBA Hall of Famer came out rocking an afro wig, then grabbed a woman from the audience before he began to perform Billy Withers' classic, “Lovely Day”. During his performance, he gave the surprised guest a lap dance (lordt) and had her smack his booty as he danced and tried his damnedest to sing to the music.

The NFL Hall of Famer was uber excited before hitting the stage to battle Shaq again (they did a karaoke battle before in 2012). Right before the show, he dished out his trash talk in his dressing room saying:

Following Shaq's performance, Michael hit the stage to perform Jason Derulo's club banger "Wiggle", showing off his toned arms and dance moves. And guess who made a cameo? Snoop Doog! Snoop came out to drop his bars as he is featured on the original track.

Check it below:

Hilar!

In another funny video....

Being the cool president that he is, President Barack Obama starred in a funny clip for BuzzFeed titled "Things Everyone Does But Doesn't Talk About".

President O is seen making faces in the mirror, snapping selfies (from all angles) with the infamous selfie stick, rehearsing one of his speeches as he struggles to say the month of February and more. Once he's caught practicing his jump shot with an imaginary ball and basket he says, "Can I live?", followed by "Y.O.L.O. man" HA! Gotta love him! Check it above.
