Chris Rock has filed for divorce form his wife of nearly 20 years, Malaak.  More on the breaking news inside...

Well here's a slight shocker that may explain why Chis Rock's wife has been M.I.A. these last couple of years.

Chris just filed divorce papers to end his almost two-decade marriage to Malaak Compton-Rock.  The 49-year-old Top 5 star must be banking on starting 2015 and his 50th b-day year with a new slate.

Malaak submitted a statement to People emphasizing her philanthropy work:

"After much contemplation and 19 years of marriage, Chris and I have decided to go our separate ways.  Being fortunate enough to lead a life of service by working with those most vulnerable makes me well aware of life's blessings, even when faced with difficulties.

"While recognizing that this is a significant change, my children remain at the center of my life and their well-being is my top priority. It is in this spirit that I sincerely ask that their privacy and the privacy of our family be respected during this transition in our lives."

The couple's lawyer, Robert S. Cohen, chimed in saying:

"Chris Rock has filed for divorce from his wife, Malaak.  This is a personal matter and Chris requests privacy as he and Malaak work through this process and focus on their family.”

Back in 2006, Chris had divorce papers drawn up but ended up reconciling with his wife.  They have been married since 1996.

No word yet on the custody decision for their two daughters they have together, Lola Simone, 12, and Zahra Savannah, 10.

Three days after she walked down the aisle to wed Alan Ferguson in New Orleans, the state of California gifted Solange Knowles Ferguson with a $55K tax lien.

According to a new report from TMZ, the state of CA claims she owes more than $55,000 in taxes for 2010-12.  Sigh...we're sure this was a clear oversight on the part of her accountants as they were all swept up in the moments of her TRUE EP. This will all be settled before her next disc drops....

And now that Solange is the new face of the ElevenParis Spring/Summer ’15 Ad Campaign, we hope her team is keeping track of all the checks...

Super cute couple Keri Hilson and her boyfriend/OKC baller Serge Ibaka spent their Christmas holiday in Oklahoma. The twosome enjoyed some time playing around in the snow after Serge balled out against the Charlotte Hornets (Dec. 26th), nabbing a season-high of 14 rebounds that led his team to a win (98-75).

The Queens of Shade are back to their shady ways on social media. This is round two of a social media showdown between “Tamar & Vince” star Tamar Braxton and “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore.

We couldn't help but notice how amazing Brandy looks for what was likely a spur-of-the-moment trip up to block for some milk and cheese.

While Brandy recently revealed she'd like to do a follow-up to her last disc, 2/11, right now, her focus is on her actiing career.  She and the rest of the cast of "The Game" return to the small screen on January 14th and 9pm CT.

Floyd Mayweather switched things up this holiday, getting into full daddy-mode with his daughter Jirah Mayweather. Let's just say Floyd had a rather interesting Thanksgiving. The boxing champ posted his holiday festivities in a video, which involved him getting his back bathed in a hot tub by one of his "chicks". Typical Floyd….

But for Christmas, he’s spending quality time with one of his children. The Money Team general and his daughter Jirah sat courtside at the Staples Center to watch the Los Angeles Lakers go head-to-head against the Phoenix Suns last night.
 

And little Miss Jirah kept busy chatting it up on her cell phone during the game. Unfortunately for the Lakers, the Suns were able to take home the win (116-107), even after Kobe Bryant's debut after missing three-straight games.

The daddy-daughter duo got ready to jet out of L.A. The proud dad held tight to his daughter's hand as they made their way through LAX with security close by. Nice seeing this side of Floyd.

Angela Bassett's"Whitney" biopic is set to debut on LIFETIME in 2015 and she's already calling on Jesus for blessings and good ratings.  See the actress-director leaving church services with her kids inside...

On January 17th, Academy Award-nominee Angela Bassett is putting it all on the line, making her directorial debut with Whitney on Lifetime.  Now that the editing process is done, she's assembling her prayer warriors....

The paps spotted the famed actress stepping out of Sunday services yesterday.  Sources inside the service say that when the upcoming movie was mentioned, the congregation of over 1,000 members erupted into thunderous applause.

Among those cheering on Angela (in addition to her husband Courtney B. Vance) were the couple's adorable kids, Slater and Bronwyn.  We don't get to see Angela and Courtney out with the kiddies very often, but it's refreshing to see them all decked out in their Sunday best.

Watch a sneak peek of Yaya DaCosta singing "I'm Your Baby Tonight".  We got an advanced screening of the full movie...and it's actually far less disappointing than expected (due to the epic fails of recent Lifetime movies). The film may have its issues, but it's def worth seeing.

Following a previous heated Twitter exchange, Azealia Banks and Action Bronson are back it again. The two first came  social media insults after the Broke With Expensive Taste raptress’ infamous Ebro In The Morning interview, where she talked about whites using black culture for financial gain. Their exchange ended in A LOT of name calling and obscenities.

If you keep up with Toya Wright on Instagram, everything seems to be fine in her marriage with husband/producer MempHitz (above attending a Christmas party two weeks ago). But if you take a look at HIS most recent social media posts, you’d start to think otherwise.

MempHitz has posted a few questionable posts on Instagram over the last couple months, which lead some to believe something might be going on in the Wright household. In a series of IG posts, he talks about the hardships of being in a “public marriage”, how he might possibly be suffering a love lost and how it’s just him against the world. "RHOA" star Porsha Williams was stopped for speeding, but ended up behind bars thanks to a suspended license!  More on her arrest inside...

It's time for Porsha Williams to SLOW DOWN.  (In more ways than one probably.)  The busy reality star, who splits her time between fighting on "RHOA" and serving up gossip bits on "Dish Nation", just wound up behind bars after she was stopped for speeding.

Cops pulled Porsha over after they spotted her NAKED weave blowing in the wind at an alleged speed of 78 mph in a 55mph zone. During the stop, she was popped for driving on a suspended license.

She headed down to the precinct and posed for her SECOND mugshot of the year. You'll recall that she posed for her first beautyshot mugshot earlier this year following her embarrassing assault on fellow "RHOA" star Kenya Moore. 

After the above photo, she was booked and posted $1,726 bond.

Nicki Minaj has made a name for herself as a rapper, songwriter and businesswoman. But back in the day, she was a regular chick aspiring to become a Hollywood household name.

A new clip (thanks to You Saw Them Here First) of the “Anaconda” raptress has surfaced of Nicki acting in a scene for her high school drama class. Before she became “Nicki Minaj”, Onika Maraj was a drama student at LaGuardia High School of Music & Art in NYC. In the clip, we see Nicki (rocking cornrows) practicing her role with a fellow student before hitting the stage in front of NYC agents and casting directors.

Clearly, the “Pills N Potions” rapper has had many enhancements to her derrière, her boobs and even her teeth over the years. Whatever gets you to your dreams, apparently...

It appears the split between Chris and Malaak Rock will be messy.  The ex-couple is gearing up to battle over money and their daughters and Chris' friends are reportedly revealing why he pulled the trigger on their split.  More inside...

As the divorce between Chris and Malaak Rock heats up, deets are emerging about their rocky marriage and messy split.  Friends of the Top Five star spoke to Page Six, revealing why the funnyman decided to leave Malaak, and that she's been making it very difficult for him to see his daughters, Lola Simone, 12, and Zahra Savannah, 10.

"He lives for his children,” the source told Page Six.“They come first. When he was doing a publicity tour for ‘Top Five,’ he made it clear it had to be scheduled around being able to take his daughters to school and pick them up.”

Despite Chris' attempts to be a dutiful father, the source revealed that Malaak is attempting to file for sole custody of their two children and is using them as a pawn.

A second source shot down rumors that there was a third party involved in the split....namely his Top 5 co-star Rosario Dawson."There is no truth to that. The rumor is 100 percent untrue.”

While Chris has remained mum, outside of a statement from his lawyer, the source from his camp explained the reason for the split to Page Six, “Chris just wasn’t happy in the marriage anymore. There is no third party involved . . . Chris and his wife had previously separated and got back together, so there have been problems for some time.”

Unfortunately, situations like this seem to get worse before they get better.  There's also the question of finances as Chris has an estimated fortune of $70 million and the prenup that he and Malaak signed in 1996 has expired.  Hmm....Malaak could definitely demand a larger share of Chris' fortune if she were awarded sole custody of the kids.  Does this all come down to money?

Evan Ross and Ashlee Simpson, sporting a baby bump, were caught mid-smooch while out and about in LA.  See their candids inside and get the deets on their upcoming "name" change. 

Singer and actor Evan Ross, who recently dropped his first single"How To Live Alone", was spotted out to lunch in LA with his wife Ashlee Simpson yesterday. And she covered up that bun in the oven with an oversized coat. The couple dined out with a group of friends and photographers took a photo of them kissing as they waited for their car at valet. 

In addition to their new baby on the way, the couple have also revealed a name change.  You've likely noticed that all of Diana Ross' children carry the Ross name, paying homage to their successful mom.  Now we've learned that since they've got a baby on the way, Evan and Ashlee have decided to officially change their last name, honoring both Evan's mother and father.  Evan, whose legal name is Evan Naess, and wife Ashlee have filed legal documents make their last name Ross-Naess.  

We guess Ashlee said she's going to get that legendary last name in her life.  Paying homage to the original queen....

Nick Cannon is clapping back at rumors that he would be divulging secrets about his failed marriage to Mariah Carey. Find out what he said inside….

Since it was announced Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey were ending their "fairytale" marriage, all types of rumors began circulating as to why the twosome broke up. Neither Nick or Mariah confirmed why they decided to go their separate ways, but now Nick is clapping back at a new rumor about his pending divorce.

Word on the curb is that the “America’s Got Talent” host has returned to the studio for an upcoming album. Last week, producer/”Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” star Mally Mall revealed he has been the studio with Nick to work on a few tracks. But he also dished on the some of the content for the upcoming LP. Mally Mall revealed the rapper/host will be referencing his estranged wife on some songs and that there will be "a lot of controversy" once its released to the masses.

Word got back to Nick and now he’s deading rumors that he would be referencing Mimi or anything about of his personal life on wax. In a stream of Twitter posts, the comedian/actor confirmed he won't be saying ANYTHING negative about Mariah and that he hopes we all can move pass the negativity for the new year.

“I love walking stairs because it's great cardio and resistance.”

“When my husband of almost 20 years can’t take his eyes off me? That’s amazing. But the number one reason I go to the gym is because it keeps me sane… I can deal with whatever’s coming at me.”

She also disclosed one way she and Will keep the romance alive in their marriage: Reading and discussing books that challenge their intellect.

“It’s a big turn-on for me to be spiritually and intellectually challenged by Will. To me, it’s like foreplay!”

The ladies of BRAVO highest rated reality series, "RHOA", have been given strict order to keep their claws out of each other's weaves during the show's upcoming reunion taping.  More inside...

Because RHOA fans are still talking about season 6's hair-pulling reunion taping, which landed Porsha Williams' her first mugshot, BRAVO execs have allegedly issued some strict guidelines to keep the ladies in line. A series inside spoke to Radar Online about the expectations that were passed onto the ladies,

“Producers have drawn a very hard line in the sand, and have reached out to each of the ladies making it very clear, there will be no violence tolerated. There will extra security on hand, prepared to deal with any potential problems.”

“The cast members will be required to sit in their assigned seats, and not allowed to get up until there is a break, or unless given permission. Any deviation will result in immediately being removed from the filming, no questions asked.”

Hmm...we also suspect at some point the ladies were reminded that all "props" have been been banned from tapings as well.
